General Hospital Transcript Wednesday 12/22/04
Proofread by Brian
Mac: There's a problem with the paperwork.
Lucky: What is it?
Mac: Do you want to tell them, Connor?
Lucky: Connor? Connor -- what are you talking about, Mac?
Mac: I knew something was off when I watched him sign the transfer paperwork. Nikolas is right-handed. Connor signed with his left.
Connor: I can't use my right hand because of the injury.
Mac: I knew you'd say something like that, which is why I checked Nikolas' signature with the billing office. And guess what -- it doesn't match.
Lucky: He just explained why.
Elizabeth: Come on, Nikolas is going to prison for life. Do you really have to harass him?
Mac: Nikolas Cassadine is currently at large, and Connor Bishop has taken his place, which means all of you can be charged with aiding and abetting Nikolas' escape.
Emily: How's your injury?
Nikolas: I feel good all over.
[Knock on door]
Emily: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, do you think they found us?
Nikolas: Ok, shh, we have to answer it. We have to answer it. Just -- just a minute.
Ofc. Martin: Sorry to bother you. My vehicle broke down about a half mile back.
Nikolas: Oh, that's not a bother at all. Come on in.
Ofc. Martin: Thanks. Well, it looks like we're going to be here for a while. I'm Officer Martin.
Nikolas: Paul Sanders. My wife, Karen.
Emily: Hi. I'll get you something warm to drink.
Ofc. Martin: Thanks. So, what are you two doing out here?
Nikolas: Well, this cabin belongs to a friend of ours and we, too, had car trouble and just figured we'd wait out the storm.
Dispatcher: Attention, all units in the Port Charles vicinity. We've got an A.P.B. on Nikolas Cassadine, convicted murderer who's escaped from general hospital.
Emily: I'm sorry, I can -- I can be so clumsy.
Ofc. Martin: Something about that dispatch made you nervous. Tell me what.
Bridget: Ow! Ow!
Lorenzo: It's time to push, it's time to push.
Bridget: I can't! No!
Sam: You can and you will. Listen, your baby needs you. Come on, you can do this.
Lorenzo: All right -- we're almost there.
Sam: You're about to get the Christmas present of your life.
Michael: And thank you for all the cool toys under the tree and my mom, my dad, my little brother, Morgan, and my new baby sister, Kristina. Amen.
Sonny: That was great, buddy.
Michael: Now it's your turn.
Jordan: I thought that one person said grace for the whole table.
Sonny: Yeah, usually the case, but, see, Kristina just -- you know, she got out of the hospital, this is her first meal with her new family, and we got to welcome our new guest.
Jordan: Oh, well, I'm honored to be part of such a momentous occasion.
Sonny: Well, you're a big reason. I mean, like I told you before, you know, you were great at that custody hearing.
Jordan: Oh, I just presented the case. You're the one who convinced the judge that you should be part of your daughter's life.
Michael: Dad, can you say grace?
Sonny: Oh, yeah. It's my turn.
Sonny: All right.
Sonny: All right -- I want to thank God for my children, for the incredible meal that we're having tonight, for baby Morgan, who's upstairs sleeping. I want to ask him to bless Kristinaís mother and the mother of Michael and Morgan, and let them always share in the joy of our children. Amen.
Emily: You're right. I know something about Nikolas Cassadine, but it's been years since I've seen him.
Ofc. Martin: What was your relationship?
Emily: I went to a party at his house when I was a teenager. It was this gothic mansion on a private island in the middle of the Port Charles harbor.
Nikolas: Yeah, I remember this -- a friend of ours had a big crush on him, right?
Emily: He was actually a prince. You know, what girl could resist that?
Nikolas: I remember she was dancing with him that night or something, right?
Emily: Yeah. She was so nervous that she could hardly move.
Ofc. Martin: When was the last time you saw Nikolas Cassadine?
Nikolas: Ah, it's been -- it's been years, too.
Emily: Yeah, our lives took us in different directions.
Ofc. Martin: I guess that's good news, considering Cassadineís a confessed murderer.
Emily: Yeah. So are you going to be able to get your car out soon?
Ofc. Martin: I'll have to dig. In the meantime, I'll have the station fax me the picture of Cassadine. Maybe I'll spot him on the way in to Port Charles.
Connor: Mac, come on, it's Nikolas. You know me.
Lucky: Mac, you don't think I wouldn't recognize my own brother?
Elizabeth: Do you have any other reason to believe this is Connor Bishop besides a messed-up signature?
Mac: You and Lucky have a history of covering for Nikolas and Emily and vice versa. The hospital is understaffed because of the storm, and you took advantage and changed the bandage on Connorís wound so the staff wouldn't realize it wasn't made by a bullet.
Elizabeth: Come on, the doctor examined Nikolas himself.
Mac: Then I need to speak with this doctor and find out if he actually saw the wound.
Elizabeth: You know what? If you are Connor, then I'm worried sick about Nikolas because we all know you hate him.
Connor: I don't want any trouble, all right?
Lucky: Connor, you -- what'd you do to my brother? What did you do?
Connor: Back away! Back away, Lucky.
Mac: Don't do it, don't do it, Bishop!
Connor: Back away.
Mac: Don't do it.
Elizabeth: Lucky --
Lucky: It's ok, Elizabeth.
Connor: I'll kill her, I swear to God. I don't even need this gun.
Elizabeth: Oh, God, please don't hurt me. I've got a baby at home!
Lucky: If you want to run, you take me as your shield. Just take me.
Connor: That would be real smart, wouldn't it, since you're a cop?
Mac: It doesn't have to go down like this.
Connor: If you want to see this girl again, don't follow me.
Lucky: Ok, it's ok. It's ok.
Bridget: I can't keep going!
Sam: You're doing great, honey.
Bridget: I'm tired! I cannot do this!
Sam: I know it hurts, but there's a great reward in the end, ok?
Bridget: Stop saying that! I don't want a baby! Ah!
Sam: One look at this baby and you are going to fall in love, ok?
Lorenzo: It's now or never.
Sam: Ok, come on and push! Push!
Lorenzo: She is a beautiful little thing.
Bridget: Oh, my God. Is she ok?
Lorenzo: Everything looks great.
Sam: She's perfect. She's perfect.
Jax: Hey -- good job.
Sam: Yeah, yeah, she did really good.
Jax: No. I was referring to you.
Jordan: So what do you want most for Christmas?
Michael: Something I know I won't get.
Jordan: I don't know. Judging by the stack of those presents, you're going to get something good.
Michael: Toys are nice. I just want my mom and dad to stay married.
Sonny: Ok, buddy. Kristina and Morgan are asleep. Guess what.
Sonny: Your turn.
Michael: But I'm not even sleepy.
Sonny: You know what? Get your pajamas on, and then we'll discuss bedtime. There you go.
Jordan: Did you hear him?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, at least, you know, he's starting to accept the divorce. I mean, last time Carly and I broke up, he fought tooth and nail.
Jordan: Well, I don't blame him. I think that children innately want a stable home environment, and I don't think that you ever stop trying to create it. I mean, look at all this.
Sonny: Yeah? What about it?
Jordan: Well, you know, from the interviews regarding the custody case, I know that you had a difficult home life as a child. But you would never know it looking at all this. I mean, it looks like you had a storybook Christmas -- midnight mass, Christmas carols.
Sonny: I had some good Christmases, you know, with the family I spent a little time with down the street.
Jordan: The Cerullos?
Sonny: You just do your homework, don't you?
Jordan: Yeah, you know. What can I say? I'm good.
Sonny: Yeah, right. Yeah, I think the reason I give my children good Christmases is because I just want to erase the bad ones I had as a kid.
Sonny: What about you? Were yours the traditional thing or --
Jordan: Well, if you mean by "traditional," spending it in Aspen, then, yes, I guess so.
Sonny: Oh, that's fancy.
Jordan: Yes, it was decadent. But it wasn't exactly filled with yuletide cheer.
Sonny: Where'd you grow up?
Jordan: Suburbs of Chicago. My family is Episcopalian by denomination, but they really worship blue-chip stocks. So I was educated at the best boarding schools, and I did the teen tour thing in the summer.
Sonny: I bet Santa Claus was good to you.
Jordan: Hmm, I got the same thing every year. I got monogrammed jewelry.
Sonny: You didn't like it?
Jordan: I always wanted one of those dollhouses.
Jordan: You know, the elaborate ones with the little beds and the sheets and little lamps?
Jordan: But they're inconvenient to bring on a plane, even if you are traveling first class.
Sonny: Why didn't you buy yourself one?
Jordan: Where's the fun in that? You know, I'm still waiting for my perfect little world with the rose-colored shutters waiting for me under the tree.
Steven: Carly? Oh -- John? John?
John: My foot. Agh.
John: God. Steven, what happened?
Steven: The roof caved under the weight of the snow.
John: Oh --
Steven: Come here.
John: Where's Carly?
John: Where's Carly? Carly!
Steven: There she is, John! John -- Carly?
John: Here -- here we go.
Steven: Slow, slow, slow! We got her.
John: That's not good. That's not good at all. Oh, oh --
John: Oh -- Carly?
Steven: All right.
John: Carly, can you hear me?
Steven: She's not breathing.
Steven: She's not breathing.
John: Well, do something! You're a doctor -- come on, Steven, I can't -- I cannot lose my daughter!
Nikolas: The second he gets that fax, he'll be right back in here to bring me in.
Emily: Not if we get away first.
Nikolas: Emily, we're in the middle of a snowstorm. The roads are impassable. There's no --
Emily: We'll have to knock the trooper out.
Nikolas: Knock -- ok, Emily, that's -- yeah, that's assaulting a police officer.
Emily: Nikolas, it's not going to matter. We'll be out of the country. We'll be on the other side of the world.
Nikolas: Are you hearing yourself right now?
Emily: We don't have a choice. I'm not going to let them take you away to prison.
Nikolas: Shh, shh.
Ofc. Martin: I want you to take a look at this, Mr. Sanders. That is what you said your name was?
Ofc. Martin: It doesn't look good.
Nikolas: Yeah, it's not clear at all. That -- that could be pretty much anybody.
Ofc. Martin: They'll have a better picture at the station. My dispatcher called, says they need help in the city, especially at the hospitals. I need help digging my car out. Would you give me a hand?
Emily: He canít. He's -- he's been -- been sick.
Nikolas: That's ok. It's just -- it's just the flu. I can -- I can help you.
Ofc. Martin: You sure you're up for it?
Nikolas: Yeah, yeah.
Lorenzo: Hey. Would you like to hold your daughter?
Bridget: I'm not ready yet.
Mike: Look, are you sure the baby's ok?
Lorenzo: Yeah, seems to be. It's the mother I'm worried about.
Jax: Hey. Is there anything we can get you? Something hot to drink perhaps?
Bridget: No, thanks.
Brook Lynn: You know, I can't figure Mr. Alcazar out, you know? I mean, I know he's dangerous and he's a criminal, but then he goes and does something like helping a teenager deliver a baby in the middle of a storm.
Diego: Yeah. Sometimes people aren't what they seem.
Brook Lynn: Are you saying you want Mr. Alcazar to be your father?
Michael: I brought you your present.
Sonny: Good, bud. Put it under the tree.
Michael: I don't want to. I want you to open it now.
Jordan: It looks too good to wait.
Michael: Please? She's right. I want you to open it now.
Sonny: All right, all right. You don't have to convince me to open a present. Aw.
Michael: Do you like it?
Sonny: Yeah, very much. Come over here.
Michael: That's us when we were a family.
Sonny: It's good to remember how you were, you know?
Michael: Mom says that we'll always be a family, especially at Christmas.
John: Come on, she should be breathing right now.
Steven: Give her time, John.
Steven: Oh, God --
John: Thank God.
Steven: Hey, Carly -- calm, calm, calm. The roof collapsed.
Carly: What --
Steven: You were pinned. No, no, no, stay calm, stay calm, stay calm.
John: Carly, Carly, don't move. Just -- just hang in there. Don't move.
Steven: Stay calm. Ok, are you ok? Are you dizzy? How do you feel? Do you know where you are?
Carly: I can't -- I can't breathe.
Steven: Oh, God. Ok. Ok. Ok, hold on. Hold on, here we go.
John: Hey, hey, come on, don't hurt her. You're hurting her. Don't hurt her!
Steven: Hey -- her rib was broken when the ice fell.
John: Well, can you set it? Can you set it before we get her in the car?
Steven: Oh, God, it's more complicated than that. I think she's got a punctured lung.
John: Well, we got to get her to G.H. right now.
Steven: You know what? We don't have time. I got to operate on Carly right now.
Bridget: Is she ok?
Lorenzo: Yeah. She appears to be in good health. I'm sure she'd like to meet her mother, though.
Bridget: You're good with her. I'll just mess up.
Brook Lynn: You know, maybe I was wrong. I mean, I know that he's dangerous, but, gosh, he was great with the baby.
Diego: Do you think he ever wanted kids of his own?
Brook Lynn: I don't know. He seemed to really love Sage, and when she died, he was completely torn.
Diego: I just can't figure this guy out.
Jax: So Bridget still won't hold the baby?
Lorenzo: No, she says she's not ready. Jax, I really don't know what I'm doing here.
Jax: Well, I think I know someone who does.
Lorenzo: Get the head. There you go.
Jax: Hey, Sam?
Sam: Is everything ok?
Jax: Yeah. She's -- she's just a little lonely. I thought maybe -- maybe that you could help, you know?
Jax: Here. Got her?
Emily: Nikolas -- God, no. I knew you were going to overdo it.
Nikolas: At least that trooper's gone.
Emily: Sit down, sit down.
Emily: Oh -- sit down. Here, let me look. Oh, God -- oh, Nikolas, you're bleeding.
Nikolas: Oh, I know. It reopened when I was digging out that car.
Emily: Ok, let me change the bandage. Here, I'm just going to lift this up. Ok, here we go.
Nikolas: It's not going to take long for the police to realize where I am. I'm surprised Connor didn't give them directions. He did exactly what I predicted he would do. He waited for just the right moment and he bolted. He wanted me to look worse than I already do. Now I'm a fugitive and a killer. I told you this was about revenge.
Emily: We can't be sure Connor double-crossed us, Nikolas. Maybe something else went wrong.
Nikolas: Why are you still defending him?
Lucky: Did you catch Connor?
Mac: No, he slipped out. I can't believe you didn't go after him. He had Elizabeth at gunpoint.
Lucky: I had the hospital sealed off and I had the adjacent streets blocked, too.
Mac: And I changed that A.P.B. on Nikolas to include Connor. I want them both brought in, Lucky!
Lucky: I found these.
Mac: His civilian clothes?
Lucky: Yeah, I thought it might help where he might have taken Elizabeth.
Mac: Did you find anything?
Mac: He was forcing Elizabeth out. He was wearing a hospital gown. I can't believe someone didn't see him leave the building.
Lucky: Well, maybe he made it look like Elizabeth was helping him, you know, like a concealed weapon or something.
Mac: Or maybe you hid some clothes for him somewhere to help him escape.
Lucky: My brother and best friend were just taken hostage by a complete psychopath, and you're questioning my loyalty?
Mac: That's exactly what I'm doing, Lucky.
Lucky: Elizabeth --
Mac: What happened?
Lucky: Are you ok?
Elizabeth: Connor dragged me into the freight elevator.
Lucky: Did he hurt you?
Elizabeth: No, no, he just warned me not to scream.
Mac: Where did you exit the elevator?
Elizabeth: The sub-basement. Connor grabbed some clothes, some janitor clothes from a maintenance locker and then took me to the alley behind the hospital.
Lucky: And he left you there?
Elizabeth: No, no, he dragged me a few blocks, and then he took off.
Elizabeth: I don't know!
Mac: No, I mean on what street corner?
Elizabeth: Camden and Elm Street.
Mac: All right, if there's anything else I need to know --
Lucky: Listen, I'll radio you.
Elizabeth: God, Lucky, this is crazy.
Lucky: You were amazing.
Elizabeth: Well, I realized what the two of you were setting up, and it just made sense for Connor to take me hostage.
Lucky: Oh, listen, I had no idea that he was going to pull a gun on you.
Lucky: Are you ok?
Elizabeth: I just hope he gets away.
Lucky: Well, you know what? They're going to find him sooner or later because Camden is right around the corner.
Elizabeth: Yeah -- that's why I told Connor to take West End.
John: Steven? You cannot operate here. We just -- we don't have supplies.
Steven: John, we're going to improvise, ok? Michael plays soccer. There's got to be a ball pump in the house. I need the needle from that. I'm going to need rubber gloves and matches and a lighter, either's fine.
John: Ok, come here. You cannot operate on my daughter with kitchen utensils, you can't!
Steven: John, listen to me, this is the only chance she's got.
John: You're crazy.
Steven: You think I would do this if I didn't think it was absolutely necessary?
Carly: Dad --
John: All right. All right, all right, I'll be right back.
Steven: John, John? I need a knife. I need the sharpest knife you can find. Just slow, slow, slow. I'm right here. Hey, I'm right here. You're going to be just fine. Slow.
Michael: Oh, cool! These are the ones that I've always wanted!
Jordan: So you're a skater?
Sonny: Yeah, he keeps threatening to make me learn.
Michael: You're going to do it this year because Mom has a big pond in the back of our house. I'll teach you. Please? Let's just go skating together.
Sonny: We will see. All right, it's your turn.
Sonny: Yeah. See, we have this -- we had a rule, right, that everyone has to open one present.
Jordan: But I'm -- I'm an uninvited guest. I don't get a present.
Sonny: Oh, I don't know about that. Huh-huh-huh! I don't know. I mean, you know, this present right here looks like it doesn't really have a name on it, so it must be yours.
Jordan: You know, you don't have to do this.
Sonny: Yeah, well, get with the holiday spirit, will you? There you go.
Jordan: Ahem. Ok.
Jordan: Oh, my God! It's my dollhouse, and it's perfect.
Jordan: Neat little rooms and a little rug and -- thank you.
Michael: She's happy to get a dollhouse?
Sonny: Well, hey, you know, everybody deserves a miracle at Christmas.
Steven: Carly? I'm going to apply some pressure right now and it's going to hurt.
Carly: Already does.
John: Hey, hey, hey, hey, don't worry.
Steven: There we go.
John: Don't worry, doc's going to make it better or he's going to answer to me.
Steven: Or Michael. He already warned me about taking good care of his mother.
Carly: If anything happens --
John: Hey, Carly, Carly, don't go there. You, me, and the kids -- we're going to be talking about this for years. This is going to be the winter the roof collapsed, all right?
Steven: Carly, I need you to relax; I need you to look John right in the eye.
John: Look at me, look at me.
Steven: I'm about to make an incision.
John: Look at me, Carly. Look at --
Sam: Now, don't you worry about your mama, sweetheart, because when she sees your perfect little face, she's going to fall in love. Oh, yes, she is. And when she does, she's going to realize you are the most precious gift ever. And she's going to do everything she can to make you happy. Yes.
Jax: You're very good with her, you know.
Sam: No. It's easy.
Jax: No, not for everyone. You have a real nurturing side to you. This baby's lucky that you're here.
Sam: You know, Jax, maybe this happened for a reason. Maybe this little girl needed me as much as I needed her.
Sonny: "It was Christmas Eve, but no one knew it yet. The shepherds were working nightshift watching their sheep when they saw this great big light in the sky."
Michael: It was a star.
Sonny: "It was so bright the shepherds were afraid to look right at it, until they heard a voice."
Sonny: "And then the Angel Gabriel said, 'Don't be afraid. I'm bringing --'"
Jordan: I think he's out.
Sonny: He falls asleep the same way every year.
Jordan: And yet you tell him the story anyway?
Sonny: Well, I'm not going to stop telling it until he stops asking, you know? All right. Get ready.
Steven: Ok, Carly, I need you to relax. I did this procedure a dozen times during my residency and I've done it a dozen times since, ok?
John: You're doing great, sweetie, you're doing great. Hang in there.
Steven: Ok, your next breath is not going to hurt as much. All the air pressure's going to be released out the needle.
John: Doc may not be pretty, but he knows what he's doing.
Steven: Ok, I need you to take a slow breath, Carly. Again. Again.
John: Is it better?
Steven: That's it, once more.
John: Is that better?
[Carly takes a deep breath]
Steven: That's it. Yeah.
John: Hey, you did good. You did good.
Carly: It wasn't me. It was Steven.
Steven: What can I say? I guess I'm a regular MacGyver. Slowly, Carly.
Elizabeth: Can we call Nikolas and Emily; warn them that Mac has put an A.P.B. on him?
Lucky: Listen, the phone lines are down where the cabin is. As soon as the blizzard is over --
Ofc. Martin: Are you one of the local cops?
Lucky: Is there a problem?
Ofc. Martin: I just saw a photo of the escaped convict your department has the A.P.B. on.
Lucky: Connor Bishop?
Ofc. Martin: Nikolas Cassadine. I was stranded up near the border. This guy helped me dig my car out. Turns out he was Cassadine.
Lucky: Well, can you write it down?
Ofc. Martin: I already did. I was told to come to the hospital and help out, but I wanted to report this.
Lucky: I can take it from here, thanks.
Ofc. Martin: All right. I hope you catch the guy.
Elizabeth: Oh, God, we're running out of time.
Lucky: We have to get Nikolas and Emily across the border right now.
Emily: I wasn't defending Connor, Nikolas.
Nikolas: You're still going along with his plan, Emily.
Emily: I was desperate to run away with you, Nikolas, and I -- I guess that I hoped that Connor would give us enough time to get across the border to Canada and then we'd be done with him.
Nikolas: As soon as that trooper gets back to the city and sees a clean photo of me, the police will be right back here to bring me in.
Emily: We'll be gone by then.
Nikolas: "Gone"? Look, you said yourself I'm in no shape to run, and I told you the roads are impassable.
Emily: There's an S.U.V. out front, Nikolas! It's four-wheel drive and --
Nikolas: Yes, which is 3/4 of the way buried, and the blizzard is not letting up.
Emily: Look, I would rather take my chances with the snow than risk losing you.
Nikolas: No, there's -- there's too many people involved now.
Emily: Oh, ok.
Nikolas: All right, pretty soon, the police are going to realize that Lucky helped me escape.
Emily: Lucky is the one who worked this whole plan out, Nikolas. He wants you and I to be together.
Nikolas: He's going to lose his badge for it.
Emily: Only if the police prove that Lucky helped you.
Nikolas: And Connor will tell them that.
Emily: You can't be sure. Nikolas, Lucky doesn't want you to give up, and neither do I.
Nikolas: What about your medical career? Huh? You're studying to be a doctor. I don't want you to give up that dream.
Emily: Nikolas -- you're my dream, ok? Nothing matters more than us being together. You're the most important person in the world to me.
Nikolas: I feel the same way about you, too. You know that, but I just --
Emily: Hey, so then you'll go to Canada with me?
Nikolas: No, I canít. As soon as this storm is over, I'm going back to Port Charles.
Jordan: Is Michael asleep?
Sonny: He asked to hear the end of the story, and he fell asleep by the time the shepherds got to the manger.
Jordan: Your kids are real lucky to have you as a dad.
Sonny: You think so?
Jordan: Well, obviously, or I wouldn't have tried to get you custody of Kristina.
Sonny: Oh, I thought you did that for the money.
Jordan: Oh, yeah, actually, I did. No, I like to think that I have a conscience. I'm not going to place a kid in an unhappy home, no matter much money they pay me. So it must feel pretty good to know that your little girl's upstairs asleep.
Sonny: Yeah, it does, even though I'm not spending Christmas with the daughter that I lost.
Jordan: You're thinking about Sam McCallís baby?
Sonny: It just happened so fast.
Sonny: That I got so busy, you know, fighting for Kristina that I never really had time to mourn for the daughter that I lost. But who am I supposed to tell, anyway, that I miss her? I mean, I got another little girl, 2-year-old, beautiful little girl. How much am I entitled to mourn, and where's the hole in my life?
Jordan: One child doesn't replace another one.
Sonny: You know what the funny thing is? I never thought I'd be a father. I mean, I was raised as an only child and my first wife, she -- she wanted children, and just the idea scared me to death. When you don't come from a good home, you're not very confident in making one for your own children.
Jordan: Well, I can tell you from what I've seen tonight that your children, including Kristina, adore you.
Sonny: Sometimes I just can't help to think that, you know, as they get older --
Sonny: They start understanding -- can I get you -- I'm going to get you some more wine.
Jordan: Finish the sentence. "When they get older and they start understanding --" what?
Steven: No, Carly. No, no, it's ok, don't try and talk.
Carly: But --
Steven: No, no.
John: Here -- here, doc. Keep her warm.
Steven: Ok. John, where you going?
John: To get an ambulance.
Carly: No --
Steven: John, it's too dangerous. You can't even see the road.
John: You've done your part to save my daughter's life, and now it's my turn.
Brook Lynn: Mr. Alcazar? Hey, listen, you did a great job delivering the baby.
Lorenzo: Hmm, Sam coached her. Bridget's the one who did the real work.
Brook Lynn: Oh, no, I know that. I'm just trying to say that, you know, you didn't have to save her in the first place.
Lorenzo: Well, I wasn't going to leave a pregnant woman collapsed in the snow.
Brook Lynn: Look -- I've said a couple nasty things behind your back -- all right, and sometimes to your face -- but what you did tonight for Bridget? That was really awesome.
Lorenzo: Thank you, Brook.
Brook Lynn: You're welcome.
Lorenzo: You don't have to worry. I understand you still don't want me to see your mother.
Mike: Hey, look. There's someone here to see you.
Bridget: I don't want to see her yet.
Sam: She's your baby. She's going to love you no matter what.
Bridget: I don't want to be a mom.
Sam: Bridget, you can do it. Ok, do it for her. She's been waiting. At least let her see your face. Bridget -- say hello to your daughter.
Bridget: Hi, baby. Gosh, you do kind of look like me, but you're a lot prettier. Hi, little girl. Do you know who I am? I'm your mommy.
Steven: Ok, it's fine, Carly. We just can't have you move around too much.
Carly: Ok. I'm ok.
Steven: You're better than ok. You're amazing, Carly. I've never seen anybody so resilient.
Carly: You're not so bad -- ugh -- yourself.
Steven: What John was trying to say before the roof came down was that --
Carly: I don't -- I don't want to know.
Sonny: I went to extremes to get custody of Michael. I'm not going to bore you with the details, because you're a lawyer. The less you know, the better.
Sonny: Kristina was a product of a one-night stand, and Morgan was born a minute after I shot his mother. Now, do you want to leave now?
Jordan: There's still a blizzard, remember?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah. Well, the -- the point I'm making is I made a lot of mistakes, and kids aren't very forgiving. And I know that, you know, in life you start out thinking that your parents are the world. You think your mother is the most beautiful, your father is the smartest and the strongest, and with the best intentions, they fail you. And even if they don't fail you, you got to let go and become your own person. And then you look back at your parents and your whole childhood seemed like a lie. They weren't right, they weren't smart, and all they did was screw up your life.
Jordan: It seems that way to me -- or seemed that way.
Sonny: Does it still seem that way to you, because, you know, with me, not until I became a father did I realize that my parents are just human beings. You know, my mother is not the angel that I -- I wanted her to be, and my father, with all his faults, loved me from the minute I was -- I was born. And I keep thinking about my own kids up there, you know, and everything that I'd done, and I know for most people, what I've done is a hell of a lot worse than running away. But I just can't help to think, how much time do I have before my own kids start deciding that, you know, maybe I'm to blame and they don't want anything to do with me?
Jordan: Well, I've dealt with a lot of custody cases, and I have seen parents that are complete and utter disasters, and I can assure you that you're not one of them.
Sonny: Yeah, well, it never hurts to hedge your bets, you know?
Sonny: You know, I think -- I think the reason I -- I give my kids the best Christmases is because no matter what else changes, I know that they'll always have that memory as a present from their father.
Nikolas: The storm is actually kind of beautiful.
Emily: The world's full of miracles. Maybe we'll get one to help keep us together.
Nikolas: I don't need a miracle. I have you and your love and your faith. You're my wife. That's all I ever wanted.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Dillon: You ok?
Nikolas: No matter what happens, you're going to be in my heart forever.
Carly: I know what I said earlier -- that I didn't want to know. I want to know.
Jordan: I hope you believe in Christmas magic -- I'm holding a little piece of it right here.
