Emily: Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Yeah?

Emily: Do you like this here?

Elizabeth: Doesn't really make a difference. No one's going to be looking at the flowers. They're all going to be staring at the beautiful bride.

Emily: Thanks. Oh, I can't stop smiling.

Elizabeth: Really? Because I hadn't noticed.

Emily: You know, I know the fact is that Nikolas could be going to prison for a long time and we won't have a honeymoon and he'll be back in custody by morning, but I’m getting married today to the man I love, and that's all that matters.

Lucky: On the positive, you won't be hung over on your wedding. On the negative, you didn't have a bachelor party last night.

Nikolas: Oh, you can owe it to me, ok?

Lucky: Oh, yeah? Yeah, anytime?

Nikolas: Yeah.

Lucky: You nervous?

Nikolas: I've never been more sure of anything in my life.

Ric: You surprise me, Ms. Baines. I thought that when Alexis moved up Kristina’s custody hearing that you were going to object.

Jordan: I have ample time to prepare.

Ric: If you think this case is going to be easy, you are sadly mistaken.

Jordan: The only thing I need to do to secure Mr. Corinthos' custody is to prove Alexis is an unfit mother. I don't foresee that as a problem.

John: Feeling better, Steven? No aftereffects from saving Carly in that fire in Ric Lansing’s apartment?

Steven: No. I'm back on the job and ready to go.

John: Oh, yeah? What job would that be? Would that be doctor, forensics expert, or freelance traitor? Man, don't bother denying it. I know that you told Carly that I stole the file incriminating Sonny. I know.

Steven: I would never do that to you, John.

John: You know, Steven, I make a much better friend than I do an enemy, but you're going to have to find that out on your own. In the meantime, I just wanted to let you know that your backstabbing didn't work. I've denied everything, and Carly believes me.

John's voice: I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I can't help you, Lansing. I can't hand over a file that's supposed to incriminate Sonny if I never had it to begin with.

Ric's voice: There's no reason to lie, all right? You wanted me to go after Sonny so you wouldn't get your hands dirty and possibly --

[Tape stops]

Carly: My father's telling the truth. He did not steal the file.

Edward: Well, it's really nothing to get excited about. Skye probably took herself for a day at the spa.

Monica: The spa?

Edward: Yeah. Why not?

Monica: How did you come up with that?

Edward: Well, she's been out of prison for a while. She's been cleared of murdering that detective. I think it makes sense to celebrate, no?

Alan: Nobody has seen Skye for an entire day. Aren't you the slightest bit concerned?

Edward: No, no, I don't think so. Skye can take care of herself. Whenever she wants to get in touch with us, she will when she's ready.

Alan: Well, somebody has to say this. It may as well be me. Maybe Skye fell off the wagon.

Edward: That's not what happened, and I forbid you to bring it up again.

Monica: Ok, then you come up with another explanation.

Edward: Well, maybe she went with Luke. I mean, he's given her a taste of adventure. Maybe they went white-water rafting or something.

Monica: Ok, ok. Since you're obviously sticking your head in the sand about Skye, you're probably not going to be any help at all with Emily.

Edward: Emily doesn't need any help.

Alan: What are you talking about? She's about to marry a confessed murderer.

Edward: Have the marriage annulled, end of story.

Monica: End of conversation. I can't listen to this.

Alan: I want a complete list of all your medications. There is something seriously wrong with you.

Luke: Hey -- you wouldn't be trying to call the cops, now, would you?

Edward: What the hell do you think you're doing? Heather took Skye out of here with an ice pick in her throat, and we haven't heard from her since. You want me to sit around, do nothing?

Luke: Edward, I thought we already had this conversation. You're not listening to me. If you call the cops, you get them involved; it's only going to be worse for Skye.

Skye: Help -- help. Help.

Heather: You're wasting your time, Skye. No one can hear you but me.

Skye: Luke and Edward know you took me. You'll never get away with this, Heather.

Heather: There you go, calling me Heather again.

Skye: That's your name. You tried to kill Edward.

Heather: Edward Quartermaine? Why would I do that?

Skye: He's your husband. You want his money.

Heather: You are so out of touch with reality, Skye. My husband isn't Edward. It's Luke.

Elizabeth: Hey, Em, do you remember when we were younger and how we'd fantasize about what our weddings would be like?

Emily: Yeah. I always wanted a full church wedding. And for the honeymoon, my husband and I would board a sailboat and we'd sail around the entire world for a year. And, obviously, the second half of that fantasy won't come true.

Elizabeth: You have the right to be disappointed, Em.

Emily: Oh, but I'm not, Elizabeth, because the wedding itself isn't important, you know? And neither is the honeymoon or being carried over the threshold or what color napkin rings I choose for the table. What matters is how I feel about him.

Elizabeth: But you know there are extenuating circumstances in Helena’s death. Nikolas could receive a light sentence.

Emily: I know. I'm not going to think about the future, you know. I'm marrying the love of my life today, and I intend to enjoy every minute of it.

Elizabeth: Yeah, that was the other part of the dream -- that every girl would find her one true love, that magical person that would keep her happy for the rest of her life. Not everyone finds him, Em. And those who do don't always make the most of it. But you did. You made the dream come true.

Nikolas: Thanks.

Lucky: I always thought I was going to be married before you.

Nikolas: I wish you had. I was counting on you to give me your advice.

Lucky: You know, I wonder sometimes what it would have been like if I married Elizabeth.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Lucky: You know, but what's the point? I mean, life moves forward, not backward.

Alexis: I most certainly am not going to defend my capabilities as a mother to you, but understand this -- making slanderous accusations will not win you a custody suit.

Jordan: You knowingly kept Kristina’s father from her life, and you continued to lie even after she fell ill.

Alexis: Her biological father is exposed to violence on a daily basis. I had no intention of exposing my daughter to that until I absolutely have to.

Jordan: Children have a right to know both of their parents.

Ric: Ok, that's enough. We're not trying this case today.

Jordan: Well, my client might still be willing to compromise Kristina’s custody, but I suggest you hurry, because you're running out of time.

Alexis: I didn't mean to lure her into an argument.

Ric: That's all right, I understand.

Alexis: I just want this to be over.

Ric: Well, I think there's a way to make it go faster. Maybe you should just forget staging this big change of heart at the hearing, where Sonny relinquishes custody of Kristina. Use the evidence now and force him to give her up and don't go to court.

Ric's voice: All right, you wanted me to go after Sonny so you wouldn't get your hands dirty and possibly alienate your daughter.

John's voice: That's an interesting theory. Of course, I still haven't seen anything in the way of proof.

Ric's voice: Ok, this is the way it's going to boil down. You either find a copy of that file or I'm going to charge your daughter with arson.

[Tape stops]

Carly: Look, Sonny, John tried to talk Ric out of using that file against you. I was there. I heard him.

Jason: Carly, he was doing it for your benefit.

Sonny: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

Carly: Jason, you heard Ric say that he was going to charge me with arson, right, but what you didn't hear is that John lied for me. He swore that I was with him the night of the fire. I mean, does that sound like a man who's going to use his daughter to go after her husband and put him in jail?

Sonny: He's a federal prosecutor, Carly. That always comes first.

Carly: Sonny, I just -- I don't think he did this.

Jason: Because he has Ric do all his dirty work for him.

Carly: Jason -- I can't be that wrong about him.

Sonny: Meyer told me the whole story. Durant stole the file, made copies, and forced Meyer to come back here and plant the original one.

Jason: And then Durant turned his copy of the file over to Ric, Carly.

Sonny: Your father has been playing you, Carly, from the minute he came to Port Charles.

Heather: Luke and I are magic. Always were, always will be. And you thought you could come between us.

Skye: You're not Laura.

Heather: I'm the woman Luke has adored his whole life. You threatened to take that away from me. I had to get rid of you.

Skye: You killed Ross Duncan just to incriminate me. How could you do something like that?

Heather: All you had to do was stay in prison but, no, you had to break out and ruin everything. Well, that was your last chance.

Skye: Huh?

Heather: Believe me, it won't happen this time.

Edward: Do you realize that you have dragged Skye from one misadventure to another, put her in jeopardy time and time again, and for what? So you could have company while you search the world for Laura?

Luke: No, you're wrong, Edward, and speaking of misadventures, how about your blissful little marriage to Lizzie Borden, huh?

[Phone rings]

Luke: Hello. Heather? Is that you?

Heather: Why does everyone keep asking me about Heather? It's me, Laura.

Luke: Oh. Hi, dreamboat. I won't make that mistake again.

Heather: I've been waiting for you, Luke. When are you coming back to me?

Luke: I'll be there soon. I just need to talk to Skye first, and then I can finalize my plans.

Heather: Tell him you're all right.

Skye: Please, come get me.

Heather: There. You happy? As usual, Skye’s trying to manipulate you into being with her.

Luke: Well, that's not going to happen, angel. Not at all. It's just you and me now. All you have to do is tell me where you are and I'll come right over.

Heather: Oh, wait, I don't want you to come here. We need to go someplace more romantic for our reunion.

Luke: Ok, then just name the place.

Heather: Meet me where we were the happiest we've ever been in our lives.

Luke: Ok. Can you narrow that down for me? A building, a street, a --

[Phone disconnects]

Luke: Hello?

Edward: What -- well, what the hell's going on? Is Skye all right? Where's she being hidden?

Luke: It sounded to me like Skye was drugged. I tried -- I couldn't --

Edward: I'll trace the damn call.

Luke: Now, Edward -- now, listen, Heather is completely gone here. If we push her, we're putting Laura and Skye’s lives in danger. Don't you get that?

Edward: What the hell do we do next?

Luke: Well, Heather gave me some kind of a clue about where she wants to meet me. I'll try to figure that out. You just stay here, and don't tell anybody about what's going on.

Edward: Spencer, I can't stand around here doing nothing.

Luke: I know. I understand. But you got to. For some reason known only to her, Heather has fixated on me. We just have to see how this thing plays out. It's the only way -- the only way to get Skye back safe.

Alexis: Sonny needs to say what he needs to say in court. That way it'll be on the record and he can't recant it.

Ric: Yeah, assuming Sonny holds up his end of the bargain.

Alexis: If he doesn't, he knows that I'm going to turn the file over to you.

Ric: Ok, exactly my point. You told Sonny that you were going to destroy that file when he relinquished custody of Kristina. The truth is you're going to hand it to me so that I can prosecute him. What makes you think Sonny isn't going to foresee you're going to double-cross him?

Alexis: He wants the evidence destroyed, and he believes that's the only way to get it done.

Ric: Sonny is not going to stand by his word when his only daughter is at stake.

Alexis: We need this to settle in court, we need to protect Kristina, and he needs to do the right thing, because that's the only way that Kristina will ever be safe.

John: You came out of med school and you said to me that you thought doing police work would be -- what were the words you used? -- Oh, yeah -- "expanding." And in spite of the doubts I had that you were tough enough, I took you under my wing. I trained you, I guided you, I treated you like my own son, and how do you repay me? By trying to sabotage my relationship with my daughter?

Steven: I'd never tell Carly that you stole that file.

John: Man, you got to listen to me. Right here, I will kick your --

Steven: I told her you were capable of it.

John: Semantics.

Steven: Not at all. I said if she wanted to know, she had to go to you for answers.

John: Oh, yeah, believe me, she came to me. Oh, she came straight to me. Did you also tell here that I came to Port Charles to take Sonny down?

Steven: Yeah.

John: I like having a daughter --

Steven: Yeah.

John: More than I ever thought, and I have worked very, very hard to gain her trust, and you've done just about everything you can to destroy that.

Steven: I told her that you had come to love her. I don't think I was lying, because I think it's true, John.

John: It is.

Carly: I asked my father if he stole that file, and he looked me in the eye and he said no.

Jason: Carly, he was lying. I mean, you know, you told me what happened. Durant helped you move into the new house, he was alone with one of Michael’s boxes. That's when he stole the file.

Sonny: What we're trying to do; we want to get Durant on tape admitting he stole that file. That way it won't be admissible in court.

Carly: But bugs are illegal, Sonny. It's not going to prove anything.

Sonny: I had legal written permission to plant the bug in Durant’s hotel room. A friend of mine, he owed me a favor, and he just happened to be a judge.

Carly: Ok, how do I help you, then?

Sonny: No, no, no, no, no. Don't even -- I don't want to get into this --

Carly: No, listen, what if I get Durant to admit that he stole the file?

Sonny: No, Carly, look --

Carly: I could go into his room, I could get him talking. Listen to me, Sonny, I want to do this. My father used me. I'm going to use him.

Emily: Hi.

Monica: Hi.

Emily: I'm so glad you guys are here.

Monica: Hi, sweetheart.

Emily: Oh. You're not going to believe it, but Elizabeth and I actually managed to finish everything.

Alan: Well, that's not why we're here.

Monica: No, Emily. Now, you know how much we love you.

Alan: More than anything, we want you to be happy, Em.

Emily: But I shouldn't marry a man who's about to go to prison. What kind of a life will that be for me?

Alan: So, we're predictable. Does it make us any less right?

Monica: Emily, look, I mean, starting a life together is difficult enough, but with Nikolas in prison, it's going to be almost impossible.

Emily: Stop it, both of you. You know that I love you.  And today's my wedding day, and I can't think about anything except the man I love.

Alan: Do you love him enough to make the right choices for yourself, to live a full and happy life? Isn't that what Nikolas would want for you?

Nurse: Shouldn't you be smiling, Dr. Webber?

Steven: What? Oh. Hi, Angela.

Angela: Well, so much for your gratitude for my fine nursing care.

Steven: Look, I'm sorry. I just got a lot on my mind.

Angela: You patients are all alike.

Steven: No, not at all. You were a great nurse, and I will forever be indebted to you for not making me eat that food.

Angela: Well, since you are forever indebted to me, I will have to think about collecting sometime.

Elizabeth: Hi.

Steven: Hey, what's up?

Elizabeth: I need a favor.

Steven: You got it.

Elizabeth: Well, aren't you going to ask me what it is?

Steven: I feel bad that we don't see enough of each other, and you ask me anything you want, and I will feel too guilty to say no.

Elizabeth: All righty, then. I need an escort to Nikolas' and Emily’s wedding.

Steven: When is it?

Elizabeth: Tonight.

Steven: I'll be there.

Elizabeth: Really?

Steven: Yeah.

Elizabeth: Although, if you want to invite somebody else, that would be ok, too.

Steven: No, let's just keep it the two of us. Although, if a certain unattached brunette happens to show up, then I might ask her to dance. You know what? I got to go.

Alexis: And I bought candy canes. And you can eat some of them --

Steven: Hey.

Alexis: But some of them we have to put on the tree. Hi.

Steven: Hey, sweetie. Are you making Christmas plans?

Alexis: I am. I thought maybe we could go home for Christmas.

Steven: That would be great, and to be honest, it's doubtful.

Alexis: New year's? Presidents' day?

Steven: You know what? Kristina's doing great and her cell counts are up every single day. I just would hate to make predictions about when she can be released.

Alexis: Ok. Well, all right. Hey, you. Hello. You want to have Christmas here? We can make it really fun. I'll buy a tree, we'll bring it in here, we'll decorate it, everyone will celebrate. We'll have Christmas, you, me, and Ric. How about that?

John: Hey, Bobbie.

Bobbie: Hey.

John: Hi. Hey, have you seen -- have you seen Carly anywhere?

Bobbie: No, not recently. Why? Is something wrong?

John: No, no, I'm just -- I'm a little worried about her.

Bobbie: Oh.

John: Yeah.

Bobbie: Welcome to parenthood.

John: Oh, yeah, Sonny has pretty much thrown her out of his life, but she's -- oh, she's still attached to him. She is completely, unthinkingly loyal, and I know -- I just know that that can't be good.

Bobbie: It would be nice if our children did everything we wanted them to do. But you know what I've learned, John? They feel the same way about us.

Carly: He stole that file while he was helping me move. He pretended to be this loving and supportive father. You guys were right. I mean, he did exactly what you said he would. He convinced me to trust him, and then he used me against you.

Sonny: It's a natural thing, you know? Everybody wants to know their father. I mean --

Carly: Well, I know him now. He is a lying, manipulative, ruthless, heartless man, and I’m never going to trust him again, you guys.

Jason: Carly -- Carly, Carly, he stole the file, ok? As soon as we can prove it, it's inadmissible. That's it.

Carly: Are you sure?

Sonny: If the evidence was obtained illegally, it can't be used in court.

Carly: Ok, then I’ll help you prove that he did it.

Sonny: No, no, no, no, no.

Carly: Yeah, yeah, Sonny --

Sonny: No.

Carly: Sonny --

Sonny: No.

Carly: He played me. I'm going to find great satisfaction in playing him.

Emily: Hi.

Jason: It's have a seat.
