Emily: No, thanks for calling, Elizabeth. Yeah, we'll get to the hospital as soon as we can. It sounds like Alexis is going to need her family today. Ok. See you soon. Bye. They're doing Kristinaís procedure today. Connor.
Michael: You were going to tell me something bad.
Carly: Sweetie, it's not bad. It's actually -- it's sad. It's sad. It's about Samís baby.
Michael: Is she ok?
Carly: She's -- she's with the angels. Sam's baby died.
Steven: I heard you were here all night.
Jason: She hasn't moved.
Steven: I was hoping she'd have come around by now.
Jason: Don't hope. Do something to help her.
Sonny: How is she?
Alexis: It was a rough night. They're killing off her damaged bone marrow so they can infuse the stem cells.
Sonny: She looks kind of weak.
Alexis: I was watching her all night. It's hard to watch her be so uncomfortable because she's been through so much already.
Ric: Sonny, you need to leave now. Alexis needs to be alone with her daughter.
Sonny: I have a right to be here, Ric.
Ric: You don't have to exercise that right while Kristinaís mother is standing vigil at her bedside. Alexis doesn't need any more stress. I would appreciate it if you would leave.
Sonny: I'm not going anywhere.
Ric: All right, you know, I didn't want to do this, especially not today.
Sonny: What's that?
Ric: It is a restraining order. If you come anywhere near Kristina from now on, you will be arrested.
Connor: I didn't mean to scare you, but you looked upset.
Emily: If you're going to stay in this house, you can't sneak up on me like that.
Connor: All right, I'm sorry, but I heard you talking about someone you care about being sick. I thought I could help.
Emily: Nikolas. What took you so long?
Nikolas: I had to wait for the launch pilot to come back with the bandages.
Emily: Have you talked to Alexis?
Nikolas: No. Why, has Kristina gotten worse?
Emily: No, they're doing Kristinaís procedure today.
Nikolas: So they found a donor?
Emily: They don't need one anymore. Sam's baby was stillborn. They're going to use her stem cells to make Kristina well.
Nikolas: All right. We'll have to get to the hospital, then.
Emily: Yeah, I told Elizabeth we'd be right down.
Nikolas: All right. Listen -- I don't want to leave him here alone.
Connor: Go take care of your family, kid. I ain't going nowhere.
Emily: Listen, I'll stay with Connor. Just tell Alexis that she's in my prayers, and Jason, too.
Nikolas: Emily, I really don't want to leave you alone here with him.
Emily: Nikolas, we don't really have any choice.
Nikolas: All right. I'll call you later, ok?
Nikolas: All right.
Emily: Ok. Let's get that bandage changed. All right. I'm going to have to take a look inside, ok?
Connor: All right.
Emily: Here. Hold on. All right.
Connor: Hey -- if I hadn't said it already, thank you for helping me.
Courtney: I know Sam is going to be devastated when she wakes up and finds out that her baby's gone.
Mike: Yeah, well, Sonny's lost so much, and if Kristina doesn't make it, then --
Lois: I heard about the baby. I'm so sorry. Has anybody spoken to Sonny?
Courtney: We're -- ahem -- we're giving him some space so he can process everything.
Lois: Well, I'm sure Carlyís with him. Or maybe not. What did I miss?
Courtney: Well, you probably heard that Sonny is Kristinaís real father.
Lois: Yeah, I heard. Ned lied. Brookie was worried sick about Kristina. She even got tested to be a possible donor to save her little sister's life. I can't believe Ned did that to her.
Mike: Yeah, well, we're all upset that Ned and Alexis lied, but, unfortunately, Carly lied, too. She knew that Kristina was Sonny's daughter and she kept it to herself.
Lois: I wish I could say Iím surprised.
Mike: Yeah, well, I know that Carly is not your favorite person, but she and Sonny have been through a lot together.
Courtney: And a lot of people have tried to come between Sonny and Carly, and their marriage has survived. Maybe -- maybe there's still hope for them.
Steven: We've done everything we can for Sam. At this point, it's up to her to wake up. And unfortunately, the longer she takes to do that, the worse her chances are for recovery.
Jason: Hey, you know what, if you don't have a real update on her condition, just leave.
Steven: Look, I don't mean to discourage --
Jason: Just get out!
Steven: Hey, Liz, I'm not sure this is the best time.
Elizabeth: Steven, I think they need you at the nurses' desk.
Steven: Yeah, they probably do.
Elizabeth: I won't stay long. I just want to let you know that Iíve been praying for Sam and that little girl she lost.
Jason: Thank you.
Elizabeth: I know the two of you planned on raising this baby together. I'm just really sorry, Jason. It's so unfair.
Jason: Sam's daughter would've been here in two weeks. Two more weeks, she would've been born.
Elizabeth: Listen, I'm not going to pretend to understand I know exactly what you're going through, but before I had Cameron, I suffered a miscarriage. So if you're going to help Sam through this, there are a few things you should know.
Ric: Ripping up that document isn't going to make it any less valid.
Sonny: Kristina's my daughter. I'm not going to let you, Alexis, or a court keep me from her.
Ric: Look, is it really necessary at this point in time to argue about this?
Sonny: Is it necessary --?
Ric: Is it necessary to pressure my wife?
Sonny: Is it necessary for you to shove a restraining order in my face? Now that Iíve signed over what it's going to take to save Kristinaís life, you want to cut me out of her life? Is that what's going on here? That's not going to happen. Kristina's my daughter, and I will wreck anybody who tries to keep me from her.
Alexis: That's it. I don't know what the hell's going on here. The two of you stop threatening each other.
Sonny: It's not a threat. I'm stating a fact. I've already lost one daughter. I'm not going to lose Kristina, Alexis.
Courtney: Listen, stay away from my family, ok? The last thing Sonny and Carly need right now is trouble from you.
Mike: Look, you're not welcome here, so get your order to go.
Lorenzo: You here to take a turn?
Lois: I was going to ask you about your warehouse fire. Looks like a business deal didn't go your way, but at least nobody was hurt.
Lorenzo: I'm very thankful for that.
Lois: But you're still going after Sonny. Was Courtney right? Now that it looks like his marriage to Carly is over, do you want her back?
Sonny: Hey, buddy. What are you doing here?
Carly: Well, Michael wanted to come see you.
Sonny: All right.
Michael: Mom told me that Samís baby is with the angels now.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, she is.
Michael: I'm sorry. I know you loved her. If you feel sad, you can lean against me.
Sonny: Can I? Get over here, buddy. Daddy's going to be ok, all right?
Michael: Were you saying a prayer for the baby?
Sonny: I was asking God to protect you and Morgan, thanking him for my family, and I was grateful that -- that you boys are safe.
Michael: Are you mad at God for taking the new baby away?
Sonny: Doesn't help to be mad, Michael. It only hurts the person who's mad. It's very sad -- it's very sad what happened to this baby, but I'm not going to blame anybody. You know what I'm -- you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to think about you and Morgan; think about the family. And you know the most important part about a family is that no matter how hard times get, you got to love each other.
Michael: How can we help to make things better?
Sonny: Well -- um -- you got to be kind to each other. You know, sometimes when you lose something precious, the way to respect it is by letting it go, no matter -- no matter how hard it is, you know? Eventually, we're going to have to get on with our lives. But not today, ok? Come here and give me a hug, all right? It's all right.
Alexis: I don't know -- I don't know what you were thinking. That restraining order was the wrong thing to do.
Ric: Look, I was concerned that he was going to show up here this morning for Kristinaís procedure and I thought he might be making problems for you. I thought I was doing the right thing.
Alexis: I appreciate that, but can we just please focus on her right now?
Ric: Absolutely. Hi, baby.
Nikolas: Alexis? Hi.
Alexis: Thanks for coming.
Nikolas: Of course, of course. How is she? She all right?
Ric: Oh, she's holding her own.
Alexis: They're going to take her any minute now to do that surgery that they need to do.
Steven: It's time.
Alexis: Ok, baby.
Elizabeth: She's going to need you. Her feelings are -- God, they're going to be so complicated. It was so close to her due date. I'm sure you guys have a ton of baby stuff all over.
Jason: Yeah, the nursery's all ready.
Elizabeth: You need to be there with her when she packs it all away. She might tell you that she wants to do it all alone, but I wouldn't -- I wouldn't let her.
Jason: Maybe I can just, you know, do it for her so she doesn't have to deal with it.
Elizabeth: Yeah, but if you go home and you erase any trace of the baby, it's kind of as if the baby never existed, you know? You and Sam prepared for the arrival of this baby together, and it'd be a good idea if you mourn together. Because, Jason, the pain you feel right now is nothing compared with how it's going to feel.
Jason: Elizabeth, I -- I know you're trying to help. I appreciate that. I just -- you know, I just don't think we should be talking about this, because if she wakes up, then Iím just --
Elizabeth: Yeah, I understand, I understand. But one more thing -- when Sam wakes up, you know, she's going to look for a reason, someone to blame. Deep down, the person she's going to hold responsible is herself.
Emily: All right. All right, Iíll try to be gentle. Ok.
Connor: You do pretty good. You should be a doctor.
Emily: Hmm. Yeah, I'm actually premed. It's a dream of mine.
Emily: Ok, I'm going to press down on the tape right now. It might hurt a little bit, ok?
Emily: Oh, God! Are you --?
Connor: I'm just kidding. I'm just joking. I took some shrapnel in the war. Sliced a nerve or two. Seems I can take a lot of pain.
Emily: An injury like that should've gotten you discharged.
Connor: Yeah, well, I didn't want to leave my squad.
Emily: But you did, for Mary.
Connor: Those men counted on me. Who knows how many of them died because I disappeared?
Emily: You can't think that way.
Connor: I told myself that I was leaving for Mary because she couldn't take the fear and the separation, you know? The truth is I was sick of the war. So maybe I really am just a deserter.
Elizabeth: I'll let you know if there's any word on Kristina.
Jason: Thank you.
Courtney: I hardly know what to say at times like this. I'm sorry, Jason. I know how much you loved that baby.
Courtney: So how's Sam?
Jason: She's -- she's been unconscious the whole time. She doesn't even know that the baby's gone. When she wakes up, Iím going to have to tell her.
Courtney: You know, when we lost our baby, you held me together. This time I want to help you, Jason. Will you please let me?
Lois: Thank you.
Lorenzo: Mm-hmm. Lois, I must have missed a step. I know that Sam McCall was carrying Sonny's child and that she lost it. Why would that mean that Sonny's going to divorce Carly?
Lois: Well, you're going to hear it from somewhere, so it might as well be from me. Kristina Davis is not Nedís daughter. She's Sonnyís.
Lorenzo: Well, that explains a lot.
Lois: And Carly knew that she was Sonny's and she never told him.
Lorenzo: And let me guess -- he finds that unforgivable.
Lois: Wouldn't you?
Lorenzo: Well, given that Sonny's fathered two children outside of their marriage, I don't think he's in any position to criticize Carly.
Lois: According to Sonny's family, this is enough to split those two up for good. She's available. The question is, are you?
Carly: Hey there.
Sonny: Hey. How's -- how's Michael?
Carly: Mama took him to the cafeteria for some hot chocolate.
Sonny: You know what he told me? He -- he said that he's happy that Samís baby helped Kristina. It was like a gift, he said. Thanks for, you know, helping him and all that, you know, bringing him here.
Carly: He was worried about you. How's Sam?
Sonny: She's still unconscious, you know, but that's not good.
Carly: Mama said that the stem-cell infusion for Kristinaís going to happen as soon as possible. And I am praying for them, Sonny, all of them -- for Sam, for her baby, for Kristina.
Sonny: Thank you for helping, you know, and what you're doing.
Carly: We are family. We are. And no matter what, I'm always going to want to help you and support you, whether we're married or not.
[Knock on door]
John: Hey. Bobbie told me you were up here.
Carly: Oh, what -- what do you need? What's going on?
Elizabeth: Sonny? Kristina's been taken for the procedure.
Sonny: I got to be there.
John: How you holding up?
Carly: I'm fine.
John: Maybe. Or maybe you're just putting up a good front. By the way, there's something I'd like to show you.
Alexis: It's ok. Come on, darling, you're going to be just fine, ok? All right?
Sonny: We'll be waiting right here for you, Kristina, ok?
Steven: We have to get her to oncology.
Sonny: Ok, right.
Alexis: I love you, baby, ok? You're fine. Ok, you can let go. You let go of Mommy's hand because you're fine, ok?
Sonny: Come on, let her go.
Alexis: Go ahead, sweetie.
Ric: She's going to be ok.
Courtney: You know, when you and I lost our baby, you were amazing, Jason. You were. I mean, I blamed myself for what happened, but somehow you made it ok, like I know that you're going to do the same for Sam. You'll get her through this. But underneath all that strength, Jason, you're hurting, too. I mean, you feel things so strongly, and you almost never let it out. I want to listen. Please let me help you.
Jason: Elizabeth said that, you know, Sam and I should clear out the baby's room together. You know, I don't -- should --
Courtney: Yeah, no, Elizabethís right. I tell you, it helps to have someone there, you know, to know that you're doing something that -- I don't know, to acknowledge the depth of each other's pain. Oh, Jason, I mean, you and Sam had months to prepare for this baby, I mean, to imagine what her life would be like. You have to give yourselves time to grieve. And it's going to take a long time, it is, but this experience -- Sam being pregnant, allowing herself to believe she could be a mother -- it's changed Sam. You know, the truth is it's changed you, too. I love you, Jason. I mean it, if you need anything --
Jason: Uh -- I'm going to be ok, but thank you.
Lorenzo: Carly will never give up on Sonny.
Lois: This time maybe he's ready to give up on her.
Lorenzo: Look, they've split up before. They always get back together. I'm sure they will this time.
Lois: I've known Sonny longer than anybody in this town. And often I've asked myself, "How does a man who lives the life of a criminal still be so caring and thoughtful? How does he make a woman with a good head on her shoulders look the other way while he's doing illegal things?"
Lorenzo: Did you find an answer?
Lois: It's because of his heart. If he lost his family, it would kill him. He will go to the ends of the earth for those boys. Protecting those boys and Kristina is the most important thing to him.
Lorenzo: Carly's part of that family, too.
Lois: The same rule doesn't apply to his women. He could be brutally unfair if he thinks that somebody's betrayed him.
Lorenzo: Well, he's taken Carly back before.
Lois: Not this time. She broke the cardinal rule. She lied about family. Now, according to Courtney and Mike, even Carly knows that it's through. She's going to need a lot of support.
Lorenzo: Why are you pushing me to go back to Carly?
Lois: To find out if you will. If you do, then Iíll know that you're not over her, and that maybe you never will be.
Lorenzo: Excuse me.
John: All right. Here we go.
Carly: You remember this place, don't you, Michael?
Michael: We lived here when you and dad couldn't be together.
Carly: Yeah. Seemed like a long time ago, huh? I remember it had a great yard.
John: Oh, oh, speaking of which, there is a little surprise out there. It's a skateboarding ramp. They put it in this morning. The U. They call it a --
John: Halfpipe, that's right. Now, I know you're into hockey, baseball, but Grandma Bobbie said that you're also getting into skating, too. Is that right?
Carly: Want to go check it out?
Michael: No. Who cares if there's a halfpipe? We don't live here. I'm going to go wait in the car.
John: All right, so that's what I get for trying to buy my grandson's affection.
Carly: You were reaching out. I appreciate it.
John: I had another motive.
Carly: Really? What?
John: To see you happy.
Carly: Look, I know you brought me here because you want me to move away from Sonny.
[Knock on door]
Sonny: No change?
Sonny: Have you talked to Dr. Webber?
Jason: Yeah, he said that she should've come out of it by now.
Sonny: Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, you know? She gets a little while longer to dream about the baby that's inside of her.
Sonny: What am I going to do, huh? How am I going to tell her that her daughter's gone?
Jason: I want to tell her.
Elizabeth: Black, one sugar.
Ric: You remembered.
Elizabeth: You know, I checked with the nurses, and they don't think we're going to know anything about Kristina for a while.
Elizabeth: We're all praying she pulls through this.
Ric: Yeah. Yeah, who knows, maybe -- maybe Kristina and Cameron can play together someday.
Elizabeth: Yeah, I'd like that.
Ric: Been thinking a lot about what you said in the chapel -- about my marriage to Alexis being all about Sonny. I don't know, maybe that's the way it looks. I hate my brother. I've tried to destroy his life. Now his daughter is legally my stepdaughter.
Elizabeth: You know, Ric, you have an awful lot of love in your heart to give Kristina. And whatever your motivations were in the past, I can see that right now, today, here in this hospital, the concern in your face is not about hate or hurting your brother. It's about helping that little girl. I don't think you're using Kristina to get at Sonny. You're better than that. I'll let you know when Stevenís done with the infusion.
Carly: Look, I know you were trying to help.
John: You said your marriage is over. You need a place to live, right?
Carly: You can't just rent me a house!
John: I didn't. I bought it. The house is yours.
Carly: Oh, no, no, no, I cannot accept that. No, no.
John: Well, hey, Carly, it's in your name. You can do whatever you want. You can sell it, you can live here, you can let it sit empty. Whatever works for you.
Carly: Oh --
John: I'm just trying to make it easy.
Carly: God, how did I get here? How?
John: Life threw you a little curveball.
Carly: I cannot make any decisions right now.
John: And you don't have to.
Carly: Look, I can't even imagine my life without Sonny.
John: Carly, you got the power to make your life whatever you want it to be in the end, and you can whoever you want there with you. The most important thing is that you and you alone start taking care of yourself right now.
John: Oh, hey.
Sonny: You know -- I feel bad, you know, the way I treated Sam, especially about the baby and, you know, all the papers I wanted to her sign, the whole thing. It's like -- but it was only at the end, I mean, when she refused to induce labor that I thought maybe we had a little bit of an understanding, you know? Like she trusted me. Even though I disappointed her.
Jason: You know, Sam always respected the choice you made to stay with your family. She's not angry about that.
Sonny: You know, you -- she had you to lean on. You supported her, you know? You shouldn't have to be the one to tell her.
Jason: No, she needs to hear it from me.
Sonny: You really care about her, don't you?
Jason: Yeah. Yeah, I do.
Connor: Come back. Come back. Come back, come back. Come back. Ah! Oh, my God.
Emily: Connor, it's ok. It's ok, you're safe.
Connor: Oh, my God.
Emily: God. That sounded like some nightmare. Connor, it's ok. Do you want to talk about it?
Connor: It's the same damn one every time. One -- one of my buddies -- Casey was his name -- he dies. He died because of me. I watched him die. I can't -- I can't forget it.
Michael: Why are you doing that?
Carly: Just trying to remember what it was like when we used to live here.
Michael: I want to go home.
Carly: Michael, we need to talk, ok?
Michael: No! Whenever you say that, it's always something bad!
Carly: Ok, Michael, I know it's been a really hard day for you, but --
Michael: You want to live here!
Carly: It's a nice house.
Michael: I hate it! I want to live with dad!
Carly: Ok, Michael, you need to listen to me. No decision has been made yet, but your dad and I may not be able to work things out, and if that is the case, you and Morgan and I are going to need to move out, and I think this is a really nice place for us.
Sonny: There. There you go. You did great. Doctor says everything went perfect. In a couple of weeks, you'll be playing on the swings. You're going to meet your brothers for the first time. And as soon as you're ready, I'm going to take you home with me.
Jason: I'm right here.
Sam: What happened?
Jason: It's ok. Just take it slow, ok? You're in the hospital.
Sam: Is that my baby? No! No! No!
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Nikolas: As soon as he recovers, he can get out of this country.
Connor: Why are you with him, anyway, Emily?
Bobbie: Carly loves Sonny.
John: She'll be better off without him.
Lorenzo: I heard that you and Sonny separated.
Michael: Leave my mother alone!
Alexis: She's not going anywhere with you.
Sam: You let Sonny steal my baby.
