Emily: Connor's been unconscious since they transferred him up from the E.R. last night. I want to be there when he wakes up.

Lucky: What, so you can talk him out of trying to put Nikolas in jail?

Emily: Yeah.

Lucky: It won't work, Em.

Emily: Listen, Connor listened to me before, Lucky. I think I can get him to understand why Nikolas killed Helena. I hope that you can hear me and that my words will have meaning for you. I know that you're angry about losing Mary. I can't blame you for that. You loved her very much. But telling the police that Nikolas intentionally killed his grandmother won't bring Mary back. All it will do is cause more pain for me and Nikolas. Please, Connor, don't let that happen. When you wake up -- and I know that you will -- all you have to do is keep quiet about what you saw that night.

Faith: Justus, say hello to my shrinks, also known as my personal escape team, Luke and Skye.

Justus: Oh. So this explains your sudden impulse to confess to Ross Duncanís murder?

Luke: It's quid pro quo.

Justus: I see. So Faith confesses to Skyeís crime, and you break her out of prison.

Luke: It isn't Skyeís crime. She's innocent.

Justus: So is Faith.

Luke: In what universe?

Justus: She didn't kill Ross Duncan.

Skye: Faith is about to walk out of here, ok? She's about to go free.

Justus: This whole thing is insanity. You know that?

Faith: It doesn't matter. This is my last chance at freedom. I have to take it.

Warden Bradford: Is there a problem, counselor?

Carly: I should go upstairs and talk to Michael. You know, he really is a sweetheart. You know, it's just that it -- the year's been hard enough for him without having to hear his parents' marriage is about to fall apart.

John: He's got to be a good kid. He's your son.

Carly: Thanks. What -- ok. No, no, no, no, no. Michael, Michael, turn around and take that suitcase back upstairs.

Michael: No.

Carly: Michael, your father and I have talked to you about this already. Running away is not a solution.

Michael: I'm not going anywhere. You are.

Alexis: Steven said this procedure is going to work. They can take the stem cells from Samís umbilical cord and it will stimulate marrow growth in Kristina.

Ric: Yeah, assuming everything goes according to plan.

Alexis: Why wouldn't it?

Sonny: The doctors, they think that this is Kristinaís best chance, maybe her only one.

Sam: You know, Sonny, as soon as the baby is born, Kristina is more than welcome to the stem cells. But I cannot induce this labor. It is just too big of a risk to our daughter.

Sonny: I respect your decision. We'll find a way to help Kristina.

Emily: Helena was trying to kill me. If Nikolas hadn't thrown her off that cliff, she would have kept trying again and again. And if someone had done that --

Nikolas: Any change?

Emily: None.

Nikolas: So what were you saying to him?

Emily: I was asking him to reconsider telling the police that you killed Helena.

Nikolas: Emily, he can't hear you, and it wouldn't make a difference if he could.

Emily: You never know.

Nikolas: Revenge is all that he has left. He's not just going to give up.

Emily: You two look so much alike. I finally understand how Mary could transfer her feelings about him to you.

Nikolas: What about Connor trying to kill you? Can you understand that?

Emily: In a way, yeah.

Nikolas: Well, do you want to explain it to me?

Emily: He's a career marine, Nikolas, who deserted to come home to his wife, and when he found out that she was dead, he had to lash out, fight against the injustice. But that's not really him. Underneath, Connor Bishop is a good man.

Heather: Things have been disappearing from this house at a very rapid rate. And I have a feeling that you and Luke Spencer are behind it.

Dillon: Oh, you think if Luke Spencer wanted to rob this joint he'd need my help?

Heather: Don't play games with me.

Dillon: Ok. I wouldn't do that, because honestly, I respect you way too much.

Heather: You're still a Quartermaine. Why would you side with Luke Spencer against your own flesh and blood?

Dillon: Ok, see, that's what Iím talking about, flesh and blood. Do we really have to use that word? It's so "Night of the Living Dead." I mean, really.

Heather: You've been warned.

Dillon: And you've been a delight, as always. I see why you drink those.

Tracy: You're up to something.

Heather: Protecting my home.

Tracy: Ha-ha-ha! Please! You wouldn't care if this place got cleaned out down to the paint. No. Somehow, this is all about you.

Heather: We teamed up to get Edward committed. I thought you and I were allies.

Tracy: Think again. Everything you have done from marrying my father to having him committed, it's all part of a larger plan. I don't know what it is, but trust me; I'm going to find out.

Justus: The doctor's research is unconventional. I'm still trying to determine whether it's safe for my client to participate.

Warden Bradford: Well, do it quickly, because if Mrs. Rosco is staying, she needs to get back to her cell.

Faith: I know you're just looking out for me. But the doctor's study does seem to be worthwhile.

Justus: There could be risks, Faith. You never know how these things could turn out.

Faith: What's life without a few risks?

Justus: Ok. You have my blessing.

[Luke speaks Dutch]

Luke: [Dutch accent] So, we waste --

Justus: Under one condition. I escort Faith to her final destination.

Warden Bradford: Do you have a problem with that, doctor?

[Luke speaks Dutch]

Luke: It is good for a patient to have someone with her that she trusts.

Warden Bradford: Then it's settled.

Luke: Good.

Warden Bradford: Oh, you'll be glad to know that I've arranged for a police escort. They're waiting for you outside.

[Luke speaks Dutch]

Carly: I know you were upset, but you have no right to order me out of this house.

Michael: Me and Morgan are staying here with Dad. It's your fault that you're getting a divorce, so you leave.

Carly: Oh, really? Huh!

John: Michael, Michael, I know how difficult this is for you.

Michael: I'm not talking to you.

John: All right, then why don't you just listen. I know that you're mad, and you have every reason to be. But you got to remember, no matter how mad you get, nobody will ever love you like your mother.

Michael: My dad does.

John: Yeah. And he's a very special person. There's no doubt about that. But so is your mother. And I happen to know that she loves you and Morgan more than anything in this whole world.

Michael: I know.

John: You see, the special thing about Moms is you got to treat them real nice. You only get one of them. And your mom, she's one of the best ones Iíve ever seen.

Michael: I'm sorry, Mom.

Carly: Ok. It's ok.

Sam: Thank you for being understanding.

Sonny: Hey, you know, you know what it means to be a parent now. Always put your child first, protect your child at all cost. I'm just grateful that you -- that you're looking out for our daughter.

Sam: Will you tell Alexis that Iím sorry?

Sonny: I'll tell Alexis what you decided. You have nothing, nothing to be sorry about.

Jason: It's ok.

Sam: Do you think Iím selfish?

Jason: Sam, I can totally understand why you can't risk your baby.

Sam: Well, what if Kristina doesn't make it, Jason? I will always know that I could have saved her.

Jason: Now, don't blame yourself for what's happening to Kristina. You made the best choice for your baby. And that's all that any mother can do.

Ric: I'm sure the medical procedure is going to be a success. I just -- I'll breathe a little easier when we get the ball rolling.

Alexis: And you're worried that Sonny isn't going to want her to induce labor?

Ric: Alexis, I don't -- I don't know what Sonny will do, ever. I just don't have a lot of confidence that he's going to risk his unborn child.

Alexis: It's not like he's trading one for the other.

Ric: I know, I know.

Alexis: Sam's baby's going to survive. She'll be fine.

Ric: Yeah, I know. Look, it's -- the chances are good, right? 90%. I just -- if Sonny's going to see it that way, who knows?

Alexis: Sam has a chance to save a life, and I know that she will do the right thing.

Tracy: You saw that my father was vulnerable, and you bulldozed your way into his life. But he's not the real prize. There has to be something else.

Heather: Edward and I fell in love. I'm sorry that you can't be happy for us.

Tracy: It's not about the money, because you've got that and you're still not satisfied. What is it? Is it another person? Ooh. Am I getting warmer?

Heather: You know what they say -- curiosity killed the cat.

Tracy: Eureka, I nailed it. Now all I have to do is figure out who is the object of your scary affections.

Heather: This conversation is beneath both of us.

Tracy: Oh, I don't think anything's beneath you, Heather. You're a liar, a user, the worst kind of --

Heather: You know what? That's enough.

Dillon: Mom? Hey, what is going on here?

Luke: Fantastic, A-1.

[Luke speaks Dutch]

Luke: I have rarely seen a scam work so smoothly.

Skye: Well, just following your lead, doctor.

Faith: You know, I think those cops might have been suspicious.

Luke: Well, of course they were suspicious. They're cops. That's what they do. But the important thing is they bought the whole deal, hook, line, and University of Amsterdam Psychiatric --

Justus: I don't know about that. They weren't too happy when you wouldn't let them follow you to the mental hospital.

Luke: Justus, I have no interest in making cops happy. The important thing is Faith's free. Let's celebrate!

Lorenzo: Excuse me. What are you all doing in my club?

Sam: If Kristina can just hang on until the baby's born, I would gladly give her the stem cells, Jason.

Jason: And Sonny knows that. I'm sure it helps him.

Sam: But it's not enough. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I should just --

Jason: Sam --

Sam: Maybe I should just do it.

Jason: Sam, you made -- you made the decision. Don't start doubting yourself now.

Sam: But you said if it were your life at stake, you would accept the 10% risk. Maybe --

Jason: Yeah, but what I would do for myself doesn't matter in this situation.

Sam: If there were any other way -- you know, if it were my life, if there were any other way I could help Kristina, I --

Jason: What if -- what if you induce labor, you know, and something went wrong?

Sam: God, Iíd never be able to forgive myself.

Jason: Then you made the only choice that you can make.

Sam: Sonny's probably telling Alexis right now. She's going to hate me, Jason. She's going to hate me, and I don't blame her.

Jason: Sam, Alexis is doing the same thing that you are -- she's putting her child first. That doesn't make her right and you wrong.

Alexis: Sam refused?

Sonny: Sam's worried about putting the baby at risk.

Ric: You explained that it was Kristinaís only chance?

Sonny: Stay out of it, Ric.

Alexis: No, no, don't --

Sonny: Then don't tell him --

Ric: It's ok. No, it's ok. I'll go. You know, you stood here last night and you staked your claim as Kristinaís father. Act like it.

Sonny: I'm sorry. I couldn't put -- you know, I couldn't force Sam to put the baby at risk.

Alexis: You couldn't or you wouldn't?

Sonny: It was her choice. I accepted the decision.

Alexis: I'm sorry. I don't understand that. That you -- you think a 10% chance is unacceptable even though Kristinaís going to die?

Luke: I think you're a little confused, Lorenzo. You now have 33% of the club, but I retain ownership.

Skye: Feel free to come back when we're open.

Lorenzo: You defaulted on our agreement. The place is mine.

Faith: Come on, Lorenzo. What is a big-time guy like you want with an old barge like this?

Lorenzo: The Haunted Star has the only gambling license in Port Charles. I think it's seen better days, but I can always renovate

Luke: Look, the point -- here, here, I'll buy -- I'll buy it back from you. How's that?

Skye: As long as the price is reasonable.

Lorenzo: "Reasonable's" a relative term, Ms. Quartermaine. The price is $2 million, nonnegotiable.

Skye: What? That is unconscionable!

Lorenzo: It's a seller's market, Ms. Quartermaine. Are you interested?

Luke: It's a deal.

Skye: Are you out of your mind?

Luke: Just give me a little time to put the money together.

Lorenzo: You have 48 hours. After that, I take possession of the property.

Skye: Nice negotiating, Luke. With any luck, you could have gotten up to $5 million.

Luke: What are you worried about? We got 48 hours.

Justus: Now all you need is $2 million.

Luke: I think I'm looking at it.

 [Tracy coughs]

Heather: I was admiring your mother's necklace. She has such exquisite taste.

Tracy: Oh. Wow.

Dillon: Ugh. Now I know what happened to baby Jane.

Tracy: What?

Dillon: "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" She creeps me out just like Bette Davis. What, are you ok?

Tracy: Not really. I want you to keep an eye on her.

Dillon: No, thank you. I've seen enough.

Tracy: She's after more than the family money, Dillon. I would ask someone else to follow her around, but you are the only one I trust.

Dillon: Mom, I have hobbies, and if I didn't, Iíd find some, ok?

Tracy: Do I have to remind you that your grandfather -- not to mention me -- practically died by her hand? Are you waiting for her to finish the job?

Dillon: Ok, all right! Stop. Manipulation accomplished. I'll do it.

Tracy: Call me as soon as you learn something.

Alice: That woman should be beaten with a curling iron.

Dillon: If you're talking about my mom, I know the feeling.

Alice: Well, I don't blame you there, but Iím talking about the new Mrs. Quartermaine. You know what she did? First, she orders me to clean the entire house top to bottom. Then she double-bolts the attic door. Now, someone tell me what's up with that.

Carly: I think Michael has settled down a little bit. He's starting to understand.

John: Yeah, he's scared. You and Sonny are his whole world.

Carly: You know, I wish I could reassure him. But the truth is once Kristinaís over this crisis, the boys and I will probably move out.

John: Well, why doesn't Sonny go?

Carly: This is Sonny's place. He bought this long before he was even married to his first wife.

John: Where will you go?

Carly: I don't know. Someplace a little cozier, maybe, maybe with a backyard. Oh, God, I don't know. I don't know. I haven't thought about it yet.

John: Well, you mind if I make a suggestion? How about living with me?

Alexis: Sam came here to visit Kristina. I don't remember what day it was because the days are all running together, but she was here --

Sonny: Right.

Alexis: And she offered to help Kristina in any way that she could.

Sonny: Sam -- she wants to help, Alexis. If it were her own life, she'd take the risk at 10%, but she's not going to do it for her child.

Alexis: Does she understand how sick Kristina is?

Sonny: Yeah.

Alexis: Because maybe she's rationalizing. People do that. I've been doing it all the time. I keep saying to myself, ďWell, it's not that badĒ or I keep telling myself that there will be an alternative treatment. Maybe you're doing that right now and thinking that there may be some other way, but there isnít. Kristina needs those stem cells to live, and she needs them right now. Did you explain that to Sam?

Sonny: Yes, I did explain it.

Alexis: In those exact words?

Sonny: I don't know exactly what I --

Alexis: Beg Sam, because your daughter's life depends on it! So just think and tell me exactly what you said, because I need Sam to make an informed decision, and if she's not making one, then we need to educate her, because we need to explain to her that there's a 90% chance that her baby will be fine and there is a 100% chance that my daughter will die.

Sonny: Sam knows the situation -- and what do you want me to say?

Alexis: This is not a situation. This is about a little girl's -- about a 2-year-old little girl that should be out running and playing right now. Instead, she's lying in that bed right now. Look at me. If the positions were reversed, I would do it. I would. I would induce labor. I would be afraid, but I would understand that a 10% risk is worth saving a little girl's life.

Sonny: Alexis, you're scared. I'm scared. But Sam has a right to protect her child.

Alexis: Since when do you care about anybody's rights but your own? Make her! You can make her! You can pressure her into inducing labor! You can do it, or get Jason to do it! If all of the sudden, at the last minute, you have suddenly developed a conscience --

Sonny: You want me to bully a pregnant woman?

Alexis: I want my baby to live! I do! I don't mean to beg you and ask you to ask another woman to risk her baby for mine. But if the situation were reversed, if Kristina were drowning, Sam would -- would save her. She would. She wouldn't stop to think about what it would do to her baby. She'd dive in and she would pull her out. That's all she needs to do. She just has to dive in and pull my baby out! If she doesn't do it, she's going to die. Sonny, please.

[Alexis sighs]

Sonny: Now, listen to me, ok?

[Alexis sighs]

Sonny: Sam made the best decision she could for her child's life. I can't -- I can't fight her on that. I canít. We will -- we will find another way to save Kristina. I promise you.

Alexis: Don't lie to yourself. If she doesn't get those stem cells, she's going to die.

Luke: Justus, my friend, I know that Lila left you millions. Now, you don't want it to just sit around and get moldy. Give it some room, let it breathe, let it move.

Justus: What, in your direction so you can buy back your club?

Luke: For starters. Name your interest rate, I'll pay it.

Justus: It's out of the question, Luke. There's no way I can lend you $2 million.

Faith: Justus, come on. Luke just busted me out of prison.

Justus: Sweetheart, the only money I have is what I took so you and I can leave the country, ok? I'm sorry. Now, if you're ready to leave the country with me, Iím willing to do it with you.

Luke: God, I thought she was the crazy one.

[Faith sighs]

Justus: I have my jet ready, so we got to go. We don't have much time. Come on.

Faith: Ok. You were a phenomenal partner.

Luke: Oh, you stay healthy, doll.

Skye: Ahem. Plane's waiting, Faith.

Luke: She's right. You'd better get going. You don't want to get caught on your last leg of the escape. Be safe, be well.

Skye: Well, I guess we should be going, too.

Luke: Why is that?

Skye: We don't have that money. In two days this place will be Alcazar's.

Luke: Think again.

John: I don't know, I sell my apartment in Manhattan, move up here, buy a house, we all move in together.

Carly: Just you, me, and the boys?

John: I'd give you all the privacy you'd need. I won't even impose a curfew.

Carly: Oh, yeah? Ok, what about your job?

John: Ah, I haven't had a vacation in 15 years. If ever I deserved one, if ever there was a time, now is the time, don't you think? Besides, with emails and faxes, I can handle most everything from up here. The most important thing is I want to be with you, and I know we can make this work.

Carly: It's very generous of you. But living with my father wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

John: And living alone would be better?

Carly: Well, I've done it before. God, I really thought that Sonny and I would be able to make it work this time, though.

John: Carly, this is not your fault.

Carly: I should've told him about Kristina the minute that I found out. You know, there was a part of me that just didn't want him to know.

John: Carly, I got one motto in life -- "Don't look back." It doesn't pay. Once you're away from Sonny, get out of this place, you start to see the light, and -- ah!

Carly: Whoa, whoa, hey -- oh, oh, hey, are you ok?

John: I don't know.

Carly: What's going on? What's going --?

John: Wait, wait, wait, slow. Ah. Oh, God.

Carly: Oh! Oh, ok. All right, Iím getting you to the hospital.

John: Damn it!

Carly: Ok, all right, just -- don't look, it's ok.

Sonny: Sam -- she's due in a couple of weeks. She said that at that time Kristina can have --

Alexis: Kristina doesn't have a couple of weeks.

Sonny: You don't know that. I'm going to talk to Dr. Webber.

Alexis: You don't talk to him! I'll talk to him! You stay out of it!

Ric: I knew you couldn't do it. I mean, why risk the healthy child you've got for some sick little girl you hardly even know, right?

Sonny: What kind of twisted human being could ask me something like that, Ric?

Ric: Someone who knows what makes you tick. You didn't want to risk Samís unborn child, Sonny, but you couldn't admit that to Alexis, so you took the easy way out and you got Sam to say no for you.

Justus: There's the plane.

Faith: A kiss for luck? Not that we'll need it. We did it. We got each other and your own life to live however you want to, no more Quartermaines.

Justus: I have thought about it.

Faith: No more backstabbing, no more jumping through hoops trying to win their approval. Just your own life, living it wherever you want to. Come on. Let's go. What? What? What's the matter?

Justus: I can't go with you, Faith.

Nikolas: Look, Emilyís convinced that she can talk Connor out of accusing me of killing Helena.

Lucky: Ok, so, are you?

Nikolas: Uh, no.

Lucky: Well, what do you want to do about it?

Nikolas: Well, let her try, see what happens.

Lucky: I -- I got a better idea. He's listed as M.I.A., all right, but we know him as a deserter. So Iíll notify the military police, you know what, and let him know that I have a deserter in custody. Then Bishop will be transferred to a military hospital. That's end of story.

Nikolas: I can't -- I can't do that.

Sam: Please, let there be another way for Kristina.

Alexis: I talked to Sonny, and he said that you refused. I'd like you to reconsider.

Sam: I'm sorry. I canít.

Alexis: I'm begging you, mother to mother. Help my baby.

Sam: I would. Alexis, I really would. But if something went wrong with my baby, I would just never be able --

Alexis: Nothing is going to go wrong. Nothing is going to go wrong. You're in a wonderful hospital. They're going to take really good care of you. Nothing is going to go wrong.

Sam: The doctors said that there was at least a 10% chance that my baby would not survive.

Alexis: I know you're frightened. I know you're frightened. Any mother would be. But I'm asking you to think about -- if you would induce and your baby would be --

Sam: No, I never said I would do that.

Alexis: Sam, I want you to think about it. If your baby were born, you'd save a life. I mean, think about how that would make you feel. Think about that -- how your courage and your decisiveness -- you'd save a life.

Sam: I have my own little girl to think about. I am very sorry, but I cannot put her life in jeopardy.

Alexis: Sam, Sam, your baby is 38 weeks. Your baby's fine. They induce full-term pregnancies all the time without any complications. You've got over a 90% chance that --

Sam: There is a 10% chance that my baby will die. Alexis, I am her mother. I cannot take that risk.

Emily: Connor, Connor, if you don't get out of here, you're going to be arrested. Connor, wake up! Listen --

Connor: Get away from me.

Faith: I want to be with you, Justus.

Justus: Come on, Faith. You'll be hiding out, ok, living in fear of being caught by the cops. You don't want that.

Faith: What will I have if I run?

Justus: Money, a life of leisure, a home wherever you want it in the world.

Faith: None of that matters without you.

Justus: Come on. Once the cops realize you're missing, Iím going to be the first person they pull aside for questioning. I can lead them off your track. Come on, you got to go. Go.

Faith: Tell me you love me.

Justus: I love you.  This isn't goodbye.

Skye: Admit it, Luke. You have absolutely no idea how you're going to get that money.

Luke: Oh, baby, money comes, money goes. It's not a good idea to try to hang on to it too tightly.

Skye: I wonder if Lorenzo Alcazar thinks he's going to keep me on as hostess once he takes over this club.

Luke: I wouldn't worry about Alcazar. I'll get this joint out of hock.

Skye: You weren't even thinking about Alcazar, were you?

Luke: No, I got my mind on the bigger picture -- finding a killer.

Heather: And what killer might that be?

Dillon: Hello? Ok, ok. No, that's -- you know, this is just the part of the movie where the audience is screaming at me, telling me to leave because there is a desperate fugitive with a loaded gun waiting to take me hostage. No problem. They're just thinking, "Hey, wow, that's really brilliant. God, why doesn't he just leave when he has the chance?" Come to think of it, that's a great question. Why don't I -- Iím going to -- I'm glad we did this, and I'll catch you later, I guess, maybe --

[Rocking chair creaks]

Dillon: Hello? Ugh! Whoa. Hello? I can see you. I -- is -- look, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to know if everything's ok. Who are you? Oh, my God. Laura Spencer.

Sonny: Do what you got to do to keep Kristina alive. Give her a blood transfusion every hour if you have to. I don't care, whatever you got to do, ok, doctor?

Steven: So Sam won't induce labor?

Sonny: Sam is due in a couple weeks. She'll give you the stem cells then.

Steven: We're going to do what we can for Kristina, but I can't be sure that she'll be alive when Samís baby is born.

Carly: Hey.

Sonny: Kristina might die.

Carly: It's ok. Come here.

Alexis: I -- I want you to come with me.

Sam: No, I don't understand. Please don't.

Alexis: I want you to see her. I want you to see Kristina.

Sam: Alexis, I understand how sick --

Alexis: I want you to see her lying in her bed. I want you to see how pale she is. I want you to see that her chest is barely moving. I want you to see that she's dying and that you can save her, but you wonít.

Sam: Don't say that. Please don't talk --

Alexis: Please, I'll make you see what you're doing, because you're letting her die. You're going to let her heart stop beating, you're going to let her slip away, and you're going to stand there and you're going to do nothing. Where's your compassion? For God's sake, where's your humanity? How are you going to be able to live with yourself knowing that you could have saved her life and you didn't? I want you to look at her because I can't make you induce labor, but I can by God make you see the price of your selfishness because it's easy to ignore death when it's not staring you in the face, when it's down the hall in some corridor, when it's somebody else's child. I want you to look at my daughter!

Sam: Ok, I will do it!

Alexis: I want you to see what you've done! If she dies it's on your head!

Sam: I will induce my labor for you, ok? Oh -- ow!

Jason: Sam?

Sam: Oh, Jason! My baby. My baby.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Dillon: Luke, you're not going to believe --

Heather: Believe what?

Lucky: I know you're against this, but this is the best solution.

Nikolas: They're gone. Connor ran and forced Emily to go with him.

Steven: Let's get an ultrasound here.

Sonny: What's going on?

Jason: Sam's in O.R. and Alexis put her there!
