Sonny: Forget this thing. How about we -- you want to watch some TV?

Michael: Yeah.

Sonny: All right.

John: Carly, come on, come up here. Indulge your old man. Let me show you off.

Michael: Hey, what's Mommy doing on the TV?

John: Here she comes.

John: Ladies and gentlemen, this -- my daughter is the primary reason for my stay in Port Charles.

Michael: Why doesn't she just step away from him?

Sonny: I don't know.

John: I wouldn't want to leave this world regretful that I didn't take the time to stop and get to know my only child. Isn't she beautiful?

Michael: Let me go! I want to see Mommy! Mommy!

Sonny: I'm looking for her, son. Don't --

Michael: See --

Sonny: I don't want you to see, Michael!

Michael: I want to see Mommy!

Sonny: Mommy's fine. She's going to be ok.

Michael: Let me see her --

Sonny: She has to be.

Jason: Carly -- Carly, Carly, Carly!

Carly: I'm all right, Iím all right, Iím all --

Lorenzo: Was she hit?

Jason: No, no, no, she's not hit.

Carly: Where's -- where's my -- oh, my God. Oh, my God, get back! Get back! Get back! Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

Emily: Nikolas, the flowers have bloomed.

Nikolas: Every one of them.

Emily: Oh, I've never smelled anything so sweet.

Nikolas: How do you feel?

Emily: I feel good, strong, healthy, yeah.

Nikolas: That's it, we did it. We broke the curse.

News anchor: We have confirmation now that Federal Prosecutor John Durant has been shot. The extent of his injuries --

Alexis: How could he do something like that?

News anchor: Nor do we have any information on whether anyone else was injured during the shooting.

Steven: Do you know who shot John Durant?

Alexis: Well, I have a pretty good idea.

News anchor: And local district attorney, Ric Lansing, was just getting underway when a shot was fired --

Michael: Dad, let me see what happened to Mommy!

Sonny: Mike -- Mike, I'm looking for her, Michael!

Michael: Let me see what happened to Mommy!

Sonny: Look, look, look, look! You see her? She's with Jason, right?

Michael: Mommy -- she's all right!

Sonny: I told you, right?

Michael: She's all right!

Alexis: Can I speak to you?

Sonny: Can we -- later?

Alexis: No.

Sonny: I can't leave Michael by himself --

Michael: I'll be fine.

Sonny: You sure?

Michael: Yeah.

Sonny: Ok. I'll be back in a little bit, ok?

Michael: Yeah.

Sonny: I'll be right out here.

Michael: Ok.

Alexis: You not only don't have a conscience, you have absolutely no limits whatsoever.

Sonny: What is this about?

Alexis: You tried to kill your own brother?

Ric: The ambulance is on its way.

Carly: Come on --

Jason: Carly, how is he?

Carly: It doesn't look good. Jason, do something. Please do something to help him.

Jason: Ok, we got to move fast. I need something to stop this --

Carly: Come on! Somebody! Come on -- is -- is he going to die? Jason, come on, let me -- let me help. Do something, get --

Lana: Sorry.

Ric: Whoa, whoa. Where are you going in such a hurry, miss?

Lana: Oh, Mr. Lansing, are you all right?

Ric: Wait a minute. Don't I know you?

Lana: John Durantís apartment the other night? Lana James, newswire. I got scared. I was trying to get out of here as fast as I could.

Ric: You're a freelancer, is that it?

Lana: I'm trying to get a job on the "Herald."

Ric: Well, welcome to Port Charles.

Lana: Mr. Lansing, any idea who'd want to kill John Durant?

Carly: Oh, God. Oh, God, come on. Come on. John, the ambulance is on its way. I'm going to get you to the hospital in no time. Come on, come on. Come on. You can't -- you can't die on me. Come on -- John -- come on, Dad.

 [Emily sighs]

Nikolas: What are you looking for?

Emily: An explanation.

Nikolas: Oh, yeah. I don't think there is one -- one rational one, anyway. We were supposed to kiss on a moonless night in the Garden of Aphrodite. That's what we did, and the curse was broken. I don't know.

Emily: Well, we were bathed in moonlight, Nikolas. Where did that come from?

Nikolas: I -- I don't know. There, somewhere. I --

Emily: I mean, what about the flowers? You know, the cave was barren, and suddenly it was in full bloom.

Nikolas: I know. It was beautiful, though, wasn't it?

Emily: Oh, it was the most beautiful sight I've ever seen. Only Iím studying to be a doctor, Nikolas. Everything Iíve learned is based on science and facts. But what happened tonight -- it doesn't make sense.

Nikolas: I agree.

[Waves crash]

Emily: And that's it? What, no curiosity about how and why?

Nikolas: I don't know. I mean, the world is full of magic, I believe. It can't always be understood. It can't always make sense. But I know it's there. You know how I know?

Emily: How?

Nikolas: Because I see it every single time I look in your eyes. Listen to me. All that matters right now is that you're well and that we're together. And it's going to stay that way for the rest of our lives. That's all that matters right now.

Emily: Then I guess if you believe in a curse, then you have to believe in that curse being broken.

Nikolas: Yeah. Nothing's more powerful than the love between two people. I really believe that. I mean, we -- we've proved that over and over before, and we just proved it again tonight. Moonlight and flowers, baby -- it's never going to end, I promise.

Sonny: Think what you want, Alexis. I wasn't involved in the shooting.

Alexis: You're never involved. You never have anything to do with it. You don't actually pull the trigger, but it's always your work. You wanted your brother dead, and Durant got in the way.

Sonny: Do you have evidence to back that up?

Alexis: There's never any evidence when you're involved. That doesn't make it not true.

Sonny: Ok, you know -- I know you're upset because of Kristina, and I understand that --

Alexis: You're damn right I'm upset.

Steven: Mr. Corinthos? I'd really like to have a word with you.

Sonny: What do you want?

Steven: You planning on leaving the hospital any time soon?

Sonny: I don't know. Why?

Steven: I wouldn't recommend it. Have you heard that John Durantís been shot?

Sonny: Yeah. So what?

Steven: Well, so the police are on their way and they're going to want to question you.

Sonny: Yeah? What else is new? Anything else?

Steven: John Durant is still alive. And if I were you, Iíd hope he'd stay that way.

Carly: I'm coming with him, ok?

Paramedic: Who are you?

Carly: I'm his daughter. All right.

Jason: No, no, no, I'm going to call Sonny and tell him where you are?

Carly: Ok, thank you, thank you.

Jason: Go ahead, go.

Lucky: Hold it right there! Take him to the station. I'll be right behind you.  I'll watch Mr. Alcazar. I want you to make sure the surrounding area's secured. I'm going to need a statement.

Lorenzo: Well, I was watching the press conference, heard a shot, ducked for cover. Am I free to go?

Lucky: You make it a habit to attend press conferences called by Lansing and a federal prosecutor?

Lorenzo: I'm a concerned citizen. Law enforcement is a critical issue.

Lucky: Lansing and Durant were going to announce they were coming after you. They were going to use all their resources to put a stop to your criminal activities.

Lorenzo: Look, I'm a businessman. Everything I do is above reproach.

Lucky: You found out about it, didn't you? You wanted to stop them before they stopped you.

Lorenzo: That's a strong accusation, Officer Spencer.

Lucky: And I think I'm right on the money.

Lorenzo: Then, prove it.

Alexis: Was the ambulance in yet from the shooting from the press conference?

Nurse: It's on its way.

Alexis: Was anyone else shot besides John Durant?

Nurse: I'm sorry, I don't know.

Alexis: You know, because I've been listening to the news, and they're not giving any specifics. They're saying the specifics aren't available, so I thought maybe you would be able to make a call and find out something for me.

Nurse: No, you can check at the E.R. desk. I got to go.

Sonny: What are you watching?

Michael: Current events.

Sonny: Yeah, I don't want -- give me that. I don't want you watching this now. So, listen, I talked to Mom on her phone. She's on her way here.

Michael: Is she all right?

Sonny: She's all -- you know, she's just a little shaky, but she'll be fine.

Michael: Because her father was shot?

Sonny: Well, I mean, you know, she was right there when it happened.

Michael: But does she remember?

Sonny: What do you mean?

Michael: That Mr. Durant's a bad guy?

Sonny: Ok, Mike, Mike, come on, now. I don't want you worrying about that, ok?

Michael: What is there to worry about? Everything's fine.

Sonny: Everything's fine, yes. Everything's fine.

Carly: Ok, John, we're at the hospital. They're going to take care of you. You hang in there, ok?

Steven: John? John, it's Steven. John, it's Steven. If you can hear me, squeeze my fingers. Any changes?

Paramedic: His abdomen is becoming firm and distended. His skin is pale and diaphoretic. His systolic BP has gone from 140 and has dropped to 118 now.

Steven: Ok, take him to Trauma 3.

Paramedic: All right.

Steven: Call upstairs. Notify the surgeon. They need to start setting up the operating room.

Carly: Steven, take care of him, ok?

Steven: We're going to do our best.

Carly: Oh, my God.

Reporter: Did you shoot John Durant?

Second reporter: Were you under orders from Sonny Corinthos?

Mac: All right, all right. Hey, that's enough. We'll have a statement after the suspect has been booked.

Reporter: Are you going to question Mr. Corinthos, too?

Mac: Come on, bring him this way, this way. All right, what have you got?

Ofc. Serino: The gun was found in his jacket, recently fired. And I'll bet my pension it was used to shoot Durant.

Mac: Do you have anything to say? Yeah, just as I thought. All right, put him in Interrogation One. I'll have forensics go over the evidence.

Sam: Excuse me, Iíve got to see -- ow!

Jason: Sam --

Ofc. Serino: Hands on your head! Back away from the girl!

Alexis: I -- I heard on the news. I heard the details, and I thought that you had been shot.

Ric: No, no, no, no. It wasn't about me this time. Sonny and Jason were gunning for Durant.

Alexis: Well, he's already denied it.

Ric: Well, the gun was found on Jason.

Alexis: I don't know what he was thinking, you know, to shoot somebody in the middle of a press conference. I mean, it was needlessly reckless, even for Sonny.

Ric: Alexis --

Alexis: It's just -- what?

Ric: You were worried about me. Thank you.

Lucky: You were only here to supervise. I mean, you orchestrated everything. You just wanted to sit back and watch what happened.

Lorenzo: Hmm. And did I also put the gun in Jason Morganís hand?

Lucky: Somehow, yes.

Lorenzo: You ever thought about a change of careers, officer? Because you are clearly not suited for police work. You're letting your personal bias get in the way of your job.

Lucky: Because of my intense disgust for you? What you represent?

Lorenzo: Your brother wouldn't listen to you when you told him to stay away from me. I think that's why you're coming after me now.

Lucky: And that's your story?

Lorenzo: Can't think of another reason.

Lucky: Well, how about you're just tired of coming in second to Sonny Corinthos? You go after his wife; you didn't get her. His territory, didn't get that. So you decided instead of facing him like a man, to frame him for murder. I mean, he goes away. Port Charles, Carly -- it's all yours.

Lorenzo: John Durant is a federal prosecutor. He's made a career out of going after organized crime. And he's also Carlyís father. He was going to use her to destroy Sonny. That's what this shooting was about, officer -- Sonny Corinthos going after his own father-in-law because he saw him as a threat.

Lois: I hoped you were better than this.

Lorenzo: Better than what?

Lois: Pointing fingers at people when they aren't around to defend themselves.

Lorenzo: I would say the same thing if Sonny were here in person.

Lois: Well, he's not. But I am, and I'm not letting you get away with it.

Jason: Are you hurt?

Sam: I don't know.

Mac: Stay away from her, Jason.

Sam: She kicked. She kicked. I think I'm ok.

Jason: Give me your hand, come on.

Sam: Oh --

Jason: Sit down. You want some water?

Sam: Please. Thank you.

Jason: You need anything else?

Sam: No, I'm ok.

Jason: Ok, I'm done.

Mac: Get him in Interrogation One right now.

Justus: Hey, get your hands off my client!

Mac: He's refusing to cooperate, as usual. But this time, we've got plenty of evidence to support the charges.

Justus: First you try to stop him from helping a pregnant woman, then you assault him? That's two lawsuits, commissioner, and I'm just getting started.

Mac: Are you trying to intimidate me, Justus? I don't scare that easily.

Justus: I'm warning you, commissioner, I don't take lightly to my clients being assaulted!

Jason: Justus, leave it alone.

Justus: Let me handle this, Jason, all right? Let me do my job.

Jason: I said stay out of it!

Carly: I was in the ambulance with him, and I was sitting next to him, and he was trying to say something to me. It was like he -- it was like he was trying, but he just couldn't get the words out.

Sonny: Where was he hit?

Carly: He was hit in his chest. There was -- there was a lot of blood.

Sonny: Well, there's a lot of risks. I mean, men like him make enemies every day.

Carly: I don't want to lose him, Sonny, not like this.

 [Monitor beeps]

John: How bad is it?

Steven: I'm not going to lie to you, John. It's very serious.

John: Am I going to live?

Steven: You have a chance.

John: I want to talk to my daughter.

Emily: Listen --

[Waves crash]

Emily: It's like music, isn't it? It's natural, beautiful, incredibly original music.

Nikolas: I'm happy you can feel that way.

Emily: Can't you?

Nikolas: Um -- the Cassadine Island is about 20 miles, yeah, in that direction. These waves were like lullabies to me. I used to listen to them every night before I fell asleep.

Emily: Well, then, why can't you appreciate them?

Nikolas: Because -- I mean, we've talked about it before, you know? Growing up, I had everything and nothing at the same time. The finest education, the best clothes, but I just -- I still felt -- you know, empty inside, alone.

Emily: I'm so sorry.

Nikolas: Thank you, yeah. In some ways, nothing's really changed. My uncle's gone but Helenaís still alive and reminding me every day of all the misery and hatred my family created.

Emily: We faced Helena together and we won. So maybe we should face your past together, too. Nikolas, we could go to the Cassadine Island and visit the places where you grew up.

Nikolas: No, I'll never -- I'll never go back there. The Cassadine Island is -- it's one of the most beautiful in the entire Aegean. It is. White sand beaches, eucalyptus groves everywhere, and the buildings are worn smooth by the wind, you know?

Emily: Mm-hmm.

Nikolas: It's beautiful. But I'm telling you, behind that facade, it's a terrible place, it really is.

Emily: Well, that's why you have to go, Nikolas -- to break the hold it has on you.

Nikolas: No, I -- I think it's just best if I keep it buried.

Emily: Well, maybe if you told me more about it.

Nikolas: My family has been at war with itself for centuries. Murder, theft, deceit, you name it. It's all part of our twisted heritage. See, my heritage, Emily, a part of me that I don't want you to see.

Emily: You're not like the rest of your family, Nikolas.

Nikolas: I don't want to be. But I remember growing up as a kid watching my uncle do business. He was so heartless. You know, not a care in the world for anyone except the Cassadines. And I remember thinking --

Emily: Mm-hmm.

Nikolas: I remember saying, "Yeah, I understand this." It's part of me, too, Emily.

Emily: Nikolas, Iíve never seen a hint of it. Maybe that's because Lauraís your mother.

Nikolas: Yeah. Yes, it's true. Yes, Iím also my mother's son, but I was raised a Cassadine, and I think like one. That's why Iím so -- I'm so worried about having children, because the world doesn't need another Cassadine laying waste to it, which doesn't --

Emily: Nikolas, you'll never be like them, and neither will our children. The Cassadine blood in you runs through a heart that's pure and it's good and it's stronger than the past. Nikolas, you fought your whole life to rise above your family to make your own way and you've done it.

Nikolas: I don't need to go to the island, Emily. You know why?

Emily: Why?

Nikolas: Because my whole world is inside of you.

Lorenzo: All I did was tell the police what I saw.

Lois: What you saw was a way to get Sonny out of the picture. So you reared back and tossed him to the wolves.

Lorenzo: Lucky Spencer was trying to pin that shooting on me. I won't be railroaded, Lois.

Lois: Maybe not. But even so, pointing the finger at Sonny was a lousy thing to do.

Lorenzo: Look, I know you and Sonny are old friends, but this is a long way from Bensonhurst, and he's grown up to be a killer.

Lois: And what are you?

Lorenzo: The same, as Iíve tried to warn you. Sonny and I can be alike, I guess.

Lois: Well, that much you got right. Yeah, you both waste your talent and gifts on a brutal, ugly profession that doesn't get you anything but money and an early death.

Lorenzo: You'd think it would work out that way, wouldn't you? But it's the people around me who keep dying -- something else I happen to have in common with Sonny -- although he still has some family left.

Justus: I'm trying to help you here, Jason. Why won't you let me?

Jason: You're no longer Sonny's lawyer.

Justus: Sonny has nothing to do with this. You're the one being accused of attempted murder.

Jason: Yeah, well, then, I'll get another lawyer, Justus.

Justus: I'm the only one who considers you family, Jason. You've been good to me, man. The only reason I'm alive today is because you stood up for me against Sonny, and I want to repay you in kind, you know? Maybe it's time you stop thinking about what's good for Sonny and start thinking about what's good for you.

Jason: You want to repay me? Just get me out of here.

Sam: You get him released?

Justus: Well, he's asked me to get him out of here. That's a start.

Sam: Ok. I'm going to go sit with him.

Justus: No, I don't think that's a good idea. He'd want you to go home.

Sam: Yeah, I'm sure he would, but it doesn't mean I'm going to.

Jason: Sam, I want you to go home.

Sam: You and Justus here -- I want to say that you're starting to get predictable, Jason.

Jason: Well, you know what? Because it's obvious. You're pregnant. You just got knocked down. You should go home. You should rest.

Sam: How am I supposed to rest if Iím worried about you?

Jason: I'm -- Iím fine, ok? I get arrested all the time.

Sam: Yeah, well, I used to get arrested all the time, too, and I acted like it wasn't a big deal, but it didn't mean I enjoyed being handcuffed to a piece of furniture. Then again, I'm probably a little bit more sensitive than you.

Jason: Yeah, probably.

Sam: Doesn't bother you to be treated like dirt at all, huh?

Jason: No, it doesn't.

Sam: Ok. Then I guess Iím projecting because the most alone I had ever felt is when I had been arrested. And I used to tell myself all the time I was going to be ok; I'd find a way out of it. But somewhere down underneath, I -- I wanted to burst into tears.

Jason: Well, don't worry. I'm not going to cry.

Sam: Of course you're not going to cry. I'm just saying that in case there's a little part of you somewhere that does feel alone, I want you to know that Iím here for you.

Mac: I've got the preliminary forensics on the gun. Jason's prints are all over it.

Justus: Anyone else's prints on there?

Mac: Oh, it's clean except for Jasonís.

Justus: So that means he was set up by professionals.

Mac: Or he shot John Durant as charged.

Justus: In the middle of a press conference?

Mac: He was making a statement, Justus.

Justus: Then why didn't Jason try to escape?

Mac: You know, Jasonís never been known for his judgment.

Justus: Have any witnesses come forward? Any eyewitnesses? There were cameras and reporters anywhere -- surely, someone must have footage of John Durant being shot by Jason Morgan.

Mac: We're screening the footage right now.

Justus: So Iíll take that as a no. Was there any gunpowder residue on Jasonís hands or any of his articles of clothing?

Mac: No.

Justus: Then don't you think, commissioner, that you should have somebody trying to find the person who planted the gun in my client's jacket?

Sam: Can I ask you something?

Jason: Seriously, if I answer, will you go home?

Sam: I'm not going home until you're released, so --

Jason: Well, Sam, I mean --

Sam: You're innocent.

Jason: That can be a while. How do you know I'm innocent?

Sam: Because -- I don't know. For one thing, you didn't take the gun when you left the apartment.

Jason: Well, you think that's the only gun that I have access to?

Sam: You don't shoot someone in an open crowd, Jason. That's not your work. I mean, I don't know your work that well, but it just seems unprofessional and sloppy.

Jason: Sam, actually, it's smart. I mean, if you can conceal the gun somehow -- when the shots go off, it's chaos. Everybody's running around. It's hard to figure out who fired the gun, where the shot came from. And the shooter can just walk away in the confusion.

Sam: You didn't walk away. You stayed to help Carly.

Jason: Yeah, maybe I panicked.

Sam: You don't panic, Jason, and you didn't shoot Durant, so stop trying to make me doubt my instincts. You're supposed to be supporting me here.

Jason: I wanted to.

Sam: "Wanted to"? Why are you suddenly talking in the past tense?

Jason: Sam, my prints are on the gun. Who knows what's going to happen?

Mac: John Durant sends criminals to jail. Jason's job is to get rid of anyone who might be a threat to Sonny. Now, this -- the opportunity presented itself. Jason took advantage.

Justus: Yeah, you run with that theory, and I'll bury you and this department along with it. Now, do you want to discuss this realistically or should I start filing motions?

Mac: On what grounds?

Justus: You have no evidence, no eyewitnesses, except for some gun that was obviously planted by someone trying to frame my client for murder. You've been holding my client illegally for 27 minutes. That's 27 minutes too long. I want Jason Morgan released. And stop looking for an easy way to solve this case.

Sam: Can you tell me what happened? I was watching the news, and they were saying what's going on, but it was very unclear, and I was just wondering.

Jason: Carly showed up. Don't ask me why. You know, Durant saw her, asked her to come up to the podium, and she did. And that was a huge mistake, but I guess she felt like she didn't really have a choice, you know, at the time, and he started talking about how she was his beloved, newfound daughter, and Carly was just stuck up there. I mean, I knew that she was furious at the time, but part of her was eating it up, having her father tell the whole world how proud he was of her.

Sam: You know, it's interesting. You hate him because he's hurting her. I mean, don't get me wrong. John Durant is a threat to everything that matters to you -- your business, your freedom -- but you want him dead because he's using her. And sooner or later, he's going to wind up breaking her heart.

Jason: And you know you and Carly are alike that way. I mean, you guys act tough. You are tough, but underneath you're very easy to lead, and it's just wrong, Sam, to take advantage of that.

Sam: Maybe that's why I feel safe with you, because I know you wouldn't.

Justus: Mac should be in any second with paperwork. You're being released.

Sam: I knew it! I knew it. Didn't I tell you?

Jason: How'd you manage that?

Justus: I pointed out that they had no evidence and threatened a couple of lawsuits. But, you know, truthfully, I think the only reason he's doing this is because he knows you're going to run. So stick around, don't go anywhere.

Jason: Yeah, I'm just going to go to the hospital.

Justus: Ok.

Jason: Can you take Sam home?

Justus: Sure.

Sam: Excuse me.

Jason: What? You said that you would go home if I was released.

Sam: Yeah, I did, but it was only --

Jason: Well, then, you have to keep your word, right?

Sam: Ok. This time.

Justus: All right.

Jason: Thanks. Sam? Thank you for staying with me.

Sam: You're welcome.

Carly: Is that better?

John: I'm so --

Carly: Just don't -- shh. Don't say anything, ok? Just -- anything you want to say, you can tell me when you're feeling better.

John: Positive thinking -- that's a good trait.

Carly: You're going to get better. You are. You have to believe that.

John: I apologize for dragging you up onstage. That was unfair.

Carly: Why did you do that?

John: To see if you would come. To see if I meant anything to you.

Carly: Yeah, well, now you know.

John: You -- you called me "Dad." I never knew what joy that word could bring.

Carly: Oh, me, neither, but, you know, it's -- it's what you are to me. You are my father, you know?

John: Maybe I have no right to say this. Maybe I need to spend a little more time to get to know you, but in case I don't get the chance, I just want you to know that I love you very much.

Carly: No, just -- you listen to me. Listen to me. You're going to pull through it. You have to, ok, and then we're going to get to know each other, and we'll do the father/daughter thing --

John: Do you know how to ride a bike?

Carly: Yeah, a bike, yeah.

John: Yeah.

Carly: I got that already. I want the chance with you, you know. I want to get to know you.

Steven: Carly, we have to take him upstairs.

Carly: Ok.

Steven: We're going to get you all fixed up, John.

Carly: I'll be here, ok? God. I love you, too.

Ric: Nice work. Although, it was a little off its mark, though, this time, wasn't it? I know you ordered this hit, Sonny. You're going to pay for it this time.

Carly: Ric, are you accusing Sonny of shooting my father?

Ric: Jason was arrested at the scene. He was carrying the gun that shot Durant.

Emily: Helena did her worst, and we survived, Nikolas. Correction -- thanks to your determination, we triumphed, Nikolas. Our life is ready to begin.

Nikolas: Yeah, well, there's history to prove otherwise, Emily. I mean, I'm sure that my grandfather and Alexis' mother felt the same way. They broke the curse that haunted her. I mean, I think Mikkos probably felt that Kristin was safe and that they would spend the rest of their lives together. But when the curse stopped working, Helena took matters into her own hands, and you know the rest of that.

Emily: This is different, Nikolas. We can stop her from hurting us.

Nikolas: Helena swore that she would come after us, even if we broke the curse. And that's what she'll do. And we have to be ready for that.

Alexis: I really hope that you didn't approach Sonny. Because I made that mistake earlier, and --

Ric: If I didn't know better, counselor, Iíd say that you missed me.

Alexis: Well, the evidence to that is -- is clearly circumstantial.

Ric: Throwing yourself in my arms?

Alexis: I didn't throw myself into anything. I just placed myself there.

Ric: Oh, ok, fine, my mistake. And you also made statements clearly indicating you had a preference as to whether I lived or died.

Alexis: Well, I've made that statement to people that I barely know.

Ric: Do I get to you, Alexis? Hmm? What is it? Do you want to not admit it to yourself so you can't take it to the next level? What?

Alexis: I just don't know what's worse -- your trying to get me to agree with you or your insufferable ego.

Ric: Right, I see, ok. So you're going to continue to sidestep the truth?

Alexis: I'm going to go read my daughter a bedtime story. You can come with, if you'd like, if you don't read anything into what that might indicate.

Ric: No, I wouldn't dream of it. Oh --

Lorenzo: Are you out of your mind? Why did you shoot Durant when Carly Corinthos was standing right next to him?

Lana: I didn't hit her, did I?

Lorenzo: No, but you could have.

Lana: Oh, calm down, will you? Durant's going to die, and Sonny will go to prison for it. You got what you wanted. Now give me the rest of my money.

Lois: What's in the envelope?

Lana: How is that any of your business?

Lois: Cash exchanging hands in the middle of the night can only mean one thing -- you and tootsie are up to no good.

Lana: Ahem.

 [TV plays]

Sonny: Didn't I tell you no TV? What do you have to say for yourself, Michael?

Michael: Good job.

Sonny: What -- what do you mean, "Good job"?

Michael: You had Durant shot.

Jason: Carly, what's going on?

Carly: How could you, Jason? How could you shoot my father?

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Courtney: So, where are we going?

Lorenzo: I'm paying her to sleep with me.

Steven: The men who did this are going to pay.

Sonny: What makes you think Iím responsible?

Michael: Don't you kill your enemies?

Carly: Was it on Sonny's orders or did you act alone? I want us to get to know each other.
