General Hospital Transcript Friday 8/20/04

Nikolas: It's ok. It's ok. It's ok. Don't be afraid. Don't be afraid. I'm going to get you out, ok? I'm going to get you out of here. Shh.
Carly: What were you thinking? Oh, no, no, no, scratch that. Obviously, you weren't thinking at all.
Courtney: What -- hey. What is going on?
Mike: Have you seen the paper?
Courtney: But how?
Carly: Oh, this is just the beginning. Brace yourself, sweetheart. You're on the evening news.
Jax: Let me tell you; she was phenomenal. She was every guy's fantasy. Now, I've had a lot of women in my life, and this one -- off the charts. Well, here's my little spitfire now.
Reporter: So, Ms. Matthews, answer the question our women viewers are dying to know -- what's it like to make wild, passionate love to Jasper Jacks?
Jax: I think she's a little overwhelmed. Why don't we show them?
Justus: What is this?
Jason: You know what this is. Where's Faith?
Tracy: But I don't want an appointment at 9:00 in the morning. I told you, I want the 2:00 appointment in the afternoon, and you can switch the other person! Thanks! That's strange.
Bobbie: I realize I should have called first, but I honestly didn't realize I was stopping by until I was here.
Sonny: You are family. You never have to call. She's upstairs putting Morgan to bed.
Bobbie: Actually, I wanted to talk to you.
Sonny: What about?
Bobbie: Well, I'm sure you realize by now that Carly has gotten it into her head that she wants to find her biological dad.
Sonny: Yeah, she mentioned it.
Bobbie: It's a terrible idea, Sonny, and I want you to help me make sure it never happens.
Carly: Oh, mama, why are you so afraid that I might find my father?
Bobbie: I'm not afraid.
Carly: Well, it's either that or it's desperation that I'm hearing, because those are really the only two things I can think of that would make you go behind my back to Sonny. That's what you're doing, right?
Bobbie: Ok. Well, maybe I am scared, but it's for you. It's because I don't want you to get hurt.
Sonny: Well, how do you know she will get hurt?
Bobbie: Well, because, you know, the odds are pretty high. I was a teenage prostitute. I got pregnant by a John whose name I probably didn't even know. Clients weren't real big on full disclosure as you can probably imagine. And if you think your search is going to turn up some fairy-tale version of a long-lost dad -- honey, Ruby's wasn't some upscale call-girl operation catering to successful, wealthy men. It was a cathouse frequented by the dregs of society. And if you insist on doing this, you are setting yourself up for a hard fall.
Carly: Ok. Well, isn't that my decision to make, considering that it's my life?
Bobbie: Well, it's my life, too. And it's a piece of my past that I don't want to revisit. Do you have any idea what I had to go through to shake off the person I used to be? But I did, and I'm a nurse now, and I got roots in this community, and I made a family, and I've got patients and friends who know me and trust me. If this gets out, do you have any idea how embarrassing it's going to be for me? It's a disgrace. I thought you were over trying to hurt me.
Carly: Oh, you know that that is not what this is about.
Bobbie: Well, then, give it up, ok? You got Sonny, you got your kids, and you got me. You got your Uncle Luke, you got Lucas, Jason, Mike -- come on! Let that be family enough.
Sonny: Your mother's right.
Helena: Now, it's vital that the girl be kept sedated. Not only is she hopelessly insane, but she has powerful and indulgent friends who refuse to accept the reality of her condition. They could target the staff for revenge if she ever escaped.
Justus: Why are you bothering to ask me where Faith is? You really think I'm going to tell you?
Jason: I was hoping you had enough time to reconsider. Come on, Justus, you know how this works. You help an enemy; you become one. And it's not just me and Sonny you're going to be going up against. You broke Faith out of police custody. The cops are going to be coming after you. You boxed yourself in. There's no way that you can keep Faith hidden forever.
Justus: Oh, so I should just turn her over to you, huh? Forget it. Besides, I would think this is exactly what you and Sonny would want. It's hard to take Faith out while she's in a hospital without drawing attention to yourself. Better she's a moving target. That way accidents can happen.
Jason: Oh, I'm supposed to believe that you're doing this to help us?
Justus: I honestly don't care what you believe. I've made my choice.
Jason: Why? Justus, why put yourself in this position for Faith Rosco, a woman you don't even give a damn about?
Justus: You have no idea how I feel.
Jason: You still have time to make this right. Use it wisely.
Tracy: What kind of businessman allows half his staff to take vacation at the same time? I expected this freezer to be up and running by now. Oh, I've got it -- you'll take a vacation, because you're fired! I will find a reliable service on Monday! Ooh, satisfying.
Faith: Oh, no, no, no, no! Oh, no! No! Here we go. Ok. Ugh.
[Clanging] Dillon: Grandfather, Cook wants me to tell you that --
Edward: Shh, shh, shh, shh. Listen.
[Clanging] Edward: Did you hear that?
Dillon: Uh -- what?
Edward: It's gone now.
Tracy: What's gone now?
Edward: Ever since your mother died, I've been hearing sounds --
Tracy: Oh, Daddy --
Edward: Like the one just now.
Tracy: It's the house settling, or pipes.
Edward: No, it's not. It's my wife.
Mike: Hey, honey.
Courtney: Hey. Hi.
Mike: Hey, have you seen the paper?
Courtney: No. Do -- why? Do I want to?
Mike: There's an article out your foundation. There's a great picture of you, too -- even if Jax is in it.
Jax: Once you get her going, you just hang on for the ride. I mean, she's everything a man could ask for. She's sleek, sweet, fast, beautiful.
Courtney: You pig!
Mike: Uh -- hey, wait -- wait a minute. What's -- what's going on?
Jax: I'd like to know that myself.
Courtney: Yeah, well, I heard you, Jax. I cannot believe your gall.
Jax: Could you tell me what I did wrong before you push me again?
Courtney: You were bragging to that guy about getting me into bed! What is wrong with you? Oh, you think it's funny, do you? You know, you're an even bigger jerk than I thought. What?
Jax: Could I explain?
Courtney: No, you can't! I'm not interested in your lame justifications for bald-faced lying, ok? I haven't slept with you yet, and I am damn sure not likely to after this, believe me.
Mike: Listen, listen, you know, I -- I'm not advocating this relationship by any means, but you are wrong. I -- I was here, Courtney. That guy was interested in buying Jaxís boat.
Sage: This is so not what I was counting on. I mean, Dillon as a girl? It's beyond ridiculous.
Trent: Well, you got to admit; the guy does make a pretty big, ugly chick.
Sage: This whole thing's a joke. Girl Power -- I mean, come on.
Trent: I don't know -- if it sells --
Sage: See, that's the whole point, Trent. This isn't about selling me at all. This is all about Brook Lynn now that she's decided to grace us with her scary talent. I'm going to blow this thing sky-high.
Sage: I don't know yet, but I will.
Tracy: So you think mother's still in the house? Daddy, the concept of dead is that person is no more.
Edward: The physical being may be no more, but who's to say what happens to the soul or the spirit?
Tracy: I knew I should have had you committed.
Edward: Go ahead, make fun of me. I wouldn't expect anything else from somebody so spiritually devoid as you. Your mother was the heart and soul of this house. Maybe it's not ready to let her go yet. I know I'm not.
Tracy: So you're conjuring up her ghost?
Edward: I feel her presence.
Tracy: You're a doddering, old fool.
Dillon: Ok, Mom, just ease up for a minute, ok? There's tons of documentation and evidence on unexplainable psychic stuff, you know, like a spirit that doesn't want to leave because the people that it loves is -- is, you know -- I don't know -- that could be grandma.
Edward: Thank you for that.
Tracy: Well, Daddy, donít. You're too upset. Why don't you go upstairs and take a nap?
Edward: I don't take naps! But I'll gladly go someplace else. It would be my pleasure.
Tracy: Are you out of your mind?
Tracy: Why are you encouraging him that way?
Dillon: But why are you putting him down? You know, you don't know what happens after you die, and people got to believe what they want, otherwise nothing to them is going to make sense. So what? If he wants to believe that grandma's spirit is still roaming around because it helps him deal with his grief, then what's your problem?
Tracy: He's not dealing with his grief. He's wallowing in his grief.
Dillon: Ok, well, you know what? Maybe he's just a little more capable of love than you are.
Tracy: Oh --
Helena: Keep your guard up at all times. My grandson is very clever and he's playing at the top of his game. That Quartermaine girl was much more easily rendered ineffective, but Nikolas will be more of a challenge. Watch him closely. I'm going to speak to Dr. Grimes.
Nikolas: She's gone.
Nikolas: My grandmother. Now's our chance to get out of here.
Emily: I don't understand anything that's going on. Is it day or night?
Nikolas: I don't know, but I'll get you someplace where you can sleep off the drugs, ok, and I'll fill in whatever's missing.
Emily: Ok. Oh.
Nikolas: It's ok. Oh, someone's coming. You're untied, ok? Don't give it away. Ok.
Emily: No, please -- oh --
Nikolas: We have to get out of here. Ok, Emily, we have to get out of here. I need you to trust me. Ok? Do you think you can trust me? Ok. Ok. Then come on.
Carly: Why are you taking my mother's side?
Sonny: Because Bobbie is right. You looking for your father is only going to set you up for heartache. I don't want that to happen. So, Bobbie, don't think about this again. I will put it to rest.
Bobbie: Thank you, Sonny.
Sonny: You are very welcome.
[Door opens and closes]
Carly: Ok, Sonny, let me tell you something. If want to look for my father, there is nothing you or mama can do to stop me.
Sonny: I would not dream of stopping you.
Carly: Yeah, well, what -- what the hell -- what just happened just there?
Sonny: Whatever your mom doesn't want to tell you is big-time, right?
Carly: Well -- so that was an act?
Sonny: There's going to come a point where you're going to need something from Bobbie, and you have a better chance of getting it if her guard's not up. All right?
Carly: Thank you. Thank you for being clear when I cannot see past my own emotions.
Sonny: Well, that's why we make a good team.
Carly: You're really not going to try and stop me here?
Sonny: If you want to look for your father, I'll do everything I can. Whatever -- I'll support you in any way I can.
Jason: Carly, don't do this to yourself.
Courtney: Ok, fine, funny. Ha-ha. Boy, I feel like the biggest fool ever.
Jax: I wouldn't say "ever."
Courtney: Ok, go ahead, go ahead, laugh at me and make fun of me, I deserve it, but just so you know, that little outburst over there was all your fault.
Jax: Well, that's an interesting approach to an apology.
Courtney: I'm serious. I mean, God -- I mean, between all these relentless flirting and the stupid bet and the game-playing, I'm misunderstanding everything, you know? I mean, I am behind on the work for the foundation. I'm -- I am not getting any sleep, and the nights that I do sleep, I'm having nightmares.
Jax: I thought they were dreams.
Courtney: Ugh. But I guess it depends on the way you look at them.
Jax: But either way, they're bad?
Courtney: Yes, damn it, yes, yes.
Jax: I think I know what's going on. You want me to enlighten you?
Georgie: Dillon. You look odd.
Dillon: Uh -- yeah. I just -- I just came from the house, and things are pretty weird over there.
Brook Lynn: How can you tell?
Dillon: Grandfather's hearing things.
Brook Lynn: Wait, like voices in his head?
Dillon: No, no, no, not like that. I mean, not that he mentioned. I think it's more like noises, but he thinks it's grandmother.
Trent: I thought your granny died.
Dillon: She did.
Lucas: Sounds like the old man's finally losing it.
Georgie: Are we sure it's not possible?
Lucas: Ghosts? You got to be kidding.
Brook Lynn: Well, look, I know how to find out. Let's hold a sťance.
Justus: Faith? Faith?
Faith: Justus. Oh. Oh, thank God!
Justus: What happened?
Faith: Tracy was here.
Justus: Did she see you?
Faith: No. I was afraid to breathe. I was afraid she would hear my heart pounding! God!
Justus: You'll be all right. I got you some candles. You got to keep those lights off. I also got you something to eat.
Faith: Thank you. But I only need one thing right now -- just stay with me a little bit.
Justus: Come here.
Nikolas: Ok. Come on.
Orderly: What's going on?
Nikolas: It's ok. It's all right. I got it covered. It's ok.
Orderly: I don't think I know you. Oh, God!
Nikolas: Come on, come on.
Bobbie: It's me, and I need your help. Carly started asking questions.
Jason: Carly, I just don't think this is a great idea. Everything's back to normal. You're happy. I mean, if Bobbie wanted to know who your father was, she would have made an effort to track him down, right? And if this guy had any interest in Bobbie or what happened to Bobbie, she would have been easy to find. She's not trying to hide.
Carly: She was a prostitute. My father may have no idea that she was even pregnant.
Jason: Ok, so what's going to happen? You going to walk up to his door and just say, "Hey, I'm your daughter"? Come on, I'm just saying that it might not work out the way you're hoping it will.
Sonny: Why are you so passionate about this, Jason?
Jason: You know, I don't want to watch Carly hurt herself. Even if you find this guy, he'll never be the father that you want. You finally got what you said you always wanted -- Sonny and your boys, the family you never had. Why start poking around in the past when you can blow a hole right through the middle of everything?
Carly: Jason, I know -- I know where at least part of this is coming from for you. You lost your chance to raise Michael when Robin told A.J. that he was really the father. You lost another chance when Courtney miscarried. I know this is a sensitive issue for you, but it's sensitive for me, too, Jase. It's not always about the family that you make. Sometimes it's about knowing the people you came from to make sense of your own life. That's where I am right now. Come on, Jason, I'm not going to go charging into my father's life like I'm some bull in a china shop, but I am going to do everything that I can to find out who he is.
Jason: I'm just saying, you know, some things are better left alone.
Carly: You might be right. The choice is mine to make.
Jason: Ok, do what you want. I came by to tell you that I ran into Justus, and you were right. He knows where Faith is, but he's not saying anything.
Sonny: Well, he's going to go down with her.
Jason: Wait a minute, Sonny. I didn't pull Justus out of the monastery to have him killed because of Faith Rosco.
Sonny: Well, you didn't pull him out to hang out with Faith, either. Justus can't have it both ways. None of us can. Stay on him.
Justus: And the piece de resistance -- chocolate-covered cherries.
Faith: Oh. You remembered.
Justus: How could I forget?
Faith: Ok, ok. I vote we skip dinner and go straight to dessert. Cherry, please, just like the first time we had them.
Justus: There you go again. When are you going to get it through that gorgeous head of yours that we can't re-create what we had?
Faith: No? Fine. We'll take it from the top.
Justus: What if we make the same mistakes again, Faith?
Faith: The big mistake was letting you go in the first place. Somewhere deep inside of me, I have regretted it ever since. Listen, I didn't know -- I didn't know how rare we were. And I was scared by how deeply you made me feel. And I don't just mean the mind-bending sex.
Faith: You touched my heart, Justus. You made me feel something different, something brand-new. Feel my heart beating?
Faith: It turned out to be love.
Justus: You never said you loved me.
Faith: I didn't think I could afford to. I didn't trust it.
Justus: And now?
Faith: I still love you, more than I thought it was ever possible to love anyone.
Jax: So you're distracted because you're denying yourself the one thing that you want most -- me. You know, you spend every waking moment fighting the attraction, but it doesn't mean it's going to go away. So it has to manifest in some way, so you process it through your dreams.
Courtney: Hmm. Thank you, Dr. Freud.
Jax: Well, I'm just, you know, just telling it how I see it.
Courtney: Mm-hmm. All right, well, let's say on the extremely off chance I lost all sanity and decided to sleep with you, would you -- would you turn around and brag about it to all your macho buddies?
Jax: You know, I may be confident to the point of arrogance, but when it comes to my personal life, I've always tried to conduct myself as a gentleman. So anything of a private nature that happens between us will remain exactly that -- private and between us. And all the time we've spent together, I'm really sorry you had to ask.
Mike: Um -- pour you a cup? It's fresh.
Courtney: I don't need coffee. I need fresh air. Oh, my God.
Brook Lynn: So my Great-Aunt Horton -- she's a family saint, ok? I swear she was born with a veil over her face, but anyways, guys, look, she used to tell fortunes with, like, cards and tea leaves, and she used to hold a sťance at her brownstone, like, once a week.
Georgie: I'm not so sure disturbing dead people is the best idea.
Dillon: Yes, and, like, how are we going to do it? I mean, just yell really, really loud or what?
Brook Lynn: No, idiot. Look, we'll use a channeling board.
Lucas: Oh, of course. Everyone has one of those laying around somewhere.
Georgie: Actually, my sister does -- or at least she used to. It could still be in the attic.
Sage: Hang on, you guys. You can't just go pulling out channeling boards because you've got nothing better to do. Those things are dangerous. You might end up disturbing something you may not want to be a part of.
Trent: Ooh, like what? Evil spirits?
Sage: You never know.
Trent: Look, it's just a game. I think we should do it. I think it'll be fun. Besides, it's a hell of a lot better than us sitting at this table staring at each other.
Brook Lynn: No, Trent, look, we'll still get a table, but our eyes will be closed.
Lucas: I'm in. Is everybody up for it?
Georgie: Lucas --
Lucas: Cool. Let's go. I got my mom's car.
Sage: Wonder why you don't you have your own car.
Dillon: Ha-ha. Bye.
Sage: Hang on -- Trent and I will meet you at the Quartermaines'.
Trent: Ooh. It's like the weather is cooperating now. Perfect night for a sťance.
Sage: I don't know about that, but I'm into having one. This is my chance to get back at those hipper-than-thou losers. I'm going to make this a night they'll never forget.
Nikolas: Right there. Here, this will help. This will help bring you back, ok?
Nikolas: There you go.
Emily: Oh. Nikolas -- don't -- don't say anything.
Emily: You'll ruin the dream.
Nikolas: No, it's not a dream. It's not a dream. We escaped. We're ok. We're ok. We're more than ok. Hey -- look at me. I remembered. I remembered everything, my whole life, including every second I was in love with you. And then it all came back.
Nikolas: All of it --
Nikolas: The first time you kissed me, the four musketeers, you reading to me when I couldn't speak, dancing at the bacchanalia, wedding vows, making love to you the first time. Ok, baby?
Emily: You've come back to me?
Nikolas: Yes. Yes. The bad news is it's not going to take Helena long to realize that we're missing. And I didn't want to freak your family out by letting them see you like this, but we need to get you up to the house as soon as possible, ok?
Emily: Oh, no, Nikolas, we canít.
Brook Lynn: All right, well, the candles are all lit so can somebody shut the lights off?
Lucas: Why? You guys have something against electricity?
Brook Lynn: No, look, it's for ambiance, ok? It's going to help us open up our minds and connect with the spirits.
Georgie: Jeez --
Dillon: Dude? Not funny.
Lucas: Sorry. I forgot. We're supposed to be serious here -- Dead serious.
Dillon: Ha, ha, ha.
Sage: Come on, Lucas. Try and show some respect.
Brook Lynn: This isn't going to work if you're going to be all skeptical.
Carly: Do you think that mama was the one who scratched the name out on the birth certificate?
Sonny: Well, I mean, it's a reasonable assumption, but we can't rule out the -- or Ruby.
Carly: You know, I want to go to Florida. I want to go to the hospital where I was born, and I want to see what I can find out.
Sonny: Carly, Carly, you don't have much to go on.
Carly: Yeah, well, I got this -- I got the initials J.D.
Sonny: The name Bobbie wrote in the diary?
Carly: Mm-hmm, and I have my determination.
Sonny: And you got my jet if you want it.
Sonny: All right?
Carly: I want to go tonight.
Sonny: All right, go upstairs, say bye to the kids. I'll call the pilot; get the jet ready.
Carly: Thank you.
Sonny: All right.
Carly: Oh, thank you.
Sonny: All right.
Jason: Hey, Justus couldn't just disappear. Keep looking.
Courtney: Jason, listen, I want to explain what you walked into at Kellyís last night. Look, I ran, you just ran out of there so fast.
Jason: It's not -- it's -- it's not necessary.
Courtney: I need you to know I didn't sleep with Jax.
Jason: You -- you don't need to explain. It doesn't matter anymore.
Brook Lynn: Everyone puts a finger on the planchette.
Lucas: The what?
Dillon: The funny-looking wooden -- here, this.
Brook Lynn: Keep your touches light, all right? It'll move as long as the spirit is with us. And remember that we can ask any reasonable question that we want, and the board will answer with a yes, no, or it will spell something out. Are we ready? Try and clear your mind and focus. Hello. Is anyone out there? Look, we come with respect. We invite anyone who's so inclined to join us. We mean you no harm. Is anyone out there?
Lucas: This is ridiculous.
Dillon: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Georgie: Lucas --
Brook Lynn: Please, don't be afraid. Make your presence be known if you're with us.
Sage: Who's doing that?
Georgie: There's someone here.
Dillon: Ok, ok, wait a minute, stop. Are you my grandmother?
Brook Lynn: "Yes." Ok.
Lucas: What does this prove?
Georgie: Don't even start.
Brook Lynn: Look, ask it something else.
Sage: Why are you here?
Georgie: "W." "A."
Dillon: It's on R.
Dillon: "R." W-A-R.
Georgie: "N." Warn. So she's trying to warn us, but -- but what?
Dillon: Ok -- is something bad going to happen tonight?
Brook Lynn: "Yes."
Carly: Ok. I will call you as soon as I land.
Sonny: All right. Be careful. I just got you back. I don't want anything to happen.
Carly: Oh, great.
Sonny: Um --
Carly: Ok, I'm just -- oh, here. Ooh --
Sonny: You got it?
Sonny: All right, you stay right here, be careful, because I'm going to go with Max, check it out.
Sonny: Hopefully, it's just -- it's nothing. You know what I mean?
Carly: Yeah. Wait, do you need --
Carly: A light or anything?
Sonny: No, no.
Carly: You sure?
Courtney: It matters to me.
Jason: Why? I mean, what difference does it really make? You know, we're over. You have a right to sleep with whoever you want to sleep with.
Courtney: I didn't sleep with Jax.
Jason: And I told you before, Courtney, that I'm glad for any happiness that you can find, but you need to stop giving me updates on your relationship with Jax. It's too hard watching you move on. Ok, so whatever you're doing or you're not doing, please, from now on just keep it to yourself.
Emily: We're safe where we are. I don't want to take the chance of anyone seeing you, not even my family. I mean, you just escaped from a mental hospital and you took another patient with you. Who knows what strings Helena could pull to have you legally recommitted.
Nikolas: Ok. We'll stay in the boathouse tonight, and in the morning we'll go to Jason for help, ok?
Helena: Nikolas left Shadybrook and took Emily with him. That girl is poison. I'll never be able to exert the proper influence over my grandson while she's around. I want Emily dead, before the night is over.
Dillon: What? What?
Georgie: I'm sorry. I thought I saw something outside. You know, it's probably just -- it was probably just the wind. Yeah.
Trent: We need to be worried about what's in here with us.
Dillon: Well, you know what? I'll tell you one thing. If it is my grandmother, nobody needs to be worried about anything.
Sage: Yeah, except who's ever going to get hurt.
Georgie: Maybe it's not serious. Maybe somebody's just going to stub their toe or something.
Brook Lynn: Let's ask again.
Dillon: Ok. Spirit, thank you for the warning, but if you could be a little more specific, like how bad is this person going to be hurt?
Brook Lynn: "D."
Lucas: "D-I" -- that doesn't spell anything.
Georgie: It's the first two letters of Dillonís name.
Sage: Wait, you guys. It's starting to move again.
Dillon: "E." "D-I-E." Die.
Sage: Oh, my God. One of us is going to die tonight.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Edward: My wife came back.
Brook Lynn: I didn't want to find out that somebody was going to die.
Sage: Georgie thinks she's terrified now? Just wait till I'm done with her.
