Lucky: It's really over between you and Nikolas?
Emily: Oh, yeah, it's over.
Lucky: Then there's room for something new to start. You -- you know how I feel.
Emily: I'm just not ready.
Nikolas: I don't understand.
Mary: Please, Connor. I know you want to be with Emily. Why am I still pretending? The least I could do is call you by your real name. So go, Nikolas. Be happy.
Nikolas: What did you call me?
Mary: I thought she told you.
Nikolas: Told me what?
Mary: I'm sorry.
Nikolas: You -- you called me -- you called me Nikolas. Nikolas Cassadine.
Sam: You cannot believe anything Nico --
Jason: Don't! I just came back from Bailey's Beach, and you're wanted there for arson, but you already know that. Just tell me -- is it true? Did you set the fire that killed your mother?
Sam: Yeah, Jason, I did it. Look, I didn't know my mother was in the house. It was an accident.
Carly: Is this the Bailey's Beach Police Department?
Carly: Good. You know that woman that you've been looking for, Sandra McIntire? She's wanted for arson and murder?
Carly: I can tell you exactly where to find her.
Man: Where is she? Where is Sandra?
Carly: She's in Port Charles, New York, and she's going under the name Sam McCall.
Sonny: What about Sam?
Faith: I know you're the father of Samís baby.
Sonny: You just gave me all the more reason to want you dead.
Faith: Anything happens to me, a letter gets delivered to Carly. Care to guess what's in it?
Sonny: You're bluffing.
Faith: I wrote a letter to Carly. If I disappear, it will be delivered immediately to your wife. You pull that trigger; you blow your own family apart.
Sonny: I can't let you live. It's too big a risk.
Faith: Not if we make a truce. In exchange for my life, Carly will remain blissfully ignorant. I leave here tonight, go about my business, stay out of your way. You can have your cozy little family in the penthouse and Sam and the new baby across the hall. Nothing has to --
Sonny: Stop talking!
Sam: All my life, I've fantasized about my mother -- what she was like, why she left me, and in my head, she was this beautiful woman who gave me up for all the best reasons.
Jason: What happened when you met?
Sam: The bubble burst. She didn't want to have anything to do with me, Jason. As far as she was concerned, I didn't exist.
Jason: Sam, how did the house burn?
Sam: Well, I was trying to get Evelyn to give me a chance, but she fought me. She fought me all the way, and -- she didn't want me around. And there was no way I was leaving quietly.
Jason: Did you break into the house?
Sam: My mother was supposed to be at some club meeting. There were no lights -- lights on, and there was no cars in the driveway, and I had a couple pictures of her and I from when I was a baby, and I just -- I went in, I threw them in her fireplace, and it burned them.
Jason: Did you deliberately set that house on fire, Sam?
Sam: I thought about it. I mean, I wanted to take away her home, like she had taken away my dream of her. But no. I couldn't go through with it.
Jason: Well, was the fire out when you left?
Sam: I thought it was, but I must have left something burning, because the whole -- the whole place went up. And it wasn't until later that I found out that my mother had been asleep upstairs. Apparently, she had taken some sleeping pills because she was all wound up after our fight.
Sam: They don't think she ever knew what was happening.
Jason: And that's when you ran.
Sam: I got arrested for arson, and then I was let out on bail, and, Jason, I have been running ever since.
Jason: I'm going to get you out of this. It's ok. I'm not going to let anything happen to you or the baby.
Lesley Lu: Is Lucky going to move back home?
Lesley: Well, maybe just for a little while. I think I'm going to need a little extra help while I'm getting better.
Heather: Well, I'm not working yet, and I enjoy spending time with Lulu. I could move in and help you out.
Lesley: Oh, well, goodness -- that's -- that's extremely generous of you, but I could not possibly impose.
Heather: Oh, it's no imposition. I'm spending most of the day with Lulu anyway. I can lend you a hand while you're convalescing.
Lesley Lu: Heather's great! Grandma, please -- we have fun together.
Heather: It's no trouble at all.
Lesley: Well -- just until I feel better.
Heather: I'll be happy to help. What else is family for?
Lucky: You're not over Nikolas.
Emily: It's more than that, Lucky. I don't want to be like Mary.
Emily: Mary was grieving, and she used Nikolas as a substitute for the man she lost. I won't use you, Lucky. You're one of the most amazing men I've ever known, and you deserve someone who can be with you completely, not someone who's longing for the person they lost.
Lucky: I understand. When you're ready, I'll be waiting.
Nikolas: Nikolas Cassadine was in an accident less than a mile from this house on the same night that I woke up in this house with a woman that I didn't know.
Mary: You came to my door the night of the accident. You were hurt.
Nikolas: I hit my head. I hurt my head. I remember -- I remember the blood in my eyes. I hit my head.
Mary: When I saw you lying there, for a second I thought that Connor had come back to me.
Nikolas: Oh, my -- oh, my God. Connor Bishop doesn't exist!
Mary: He was my husband. He died in the war.
Nikolas: I didn't remember my name. I didn't -- I didn't remember you. Oh, my God, there was -- there were so many things you -- you said that I failed Spanish, that I -- that in my spare time I carved things out of wood! But none of that made sense -- none of it. And it never has!
Mary: You were hurt. You couldn't remember, so I gave you a past.
Nikolas: You told -- you told me -- you told me that I deserted from the Marines, but that didn't make sense, either! How could -- how could you do that? I would never leave my duty like that!
Mary: I just wasn't thinking.
Nikolas: Oh, my God, there -- so many details. The -- the Baltic Sea, the caviar, the Greek -- none of it fit with the life that you told me about! None of it!
Mary: I gave you Connorís life. A new life. You -- you were hurt and lost, and I gave you something to hold on to.
Nikolas: The -- the images from the fire. They came up in the therapy. I was -- I was wearing a tuxedo. I was probably right here -- right here in Port Charles the whole time! Oh, my God. Emily -- Emily -- she was in the hospital. She was in a hospital -- in a hospital bed, and she -- she told me to live a happy life. That -- that's why you wanted to keep me away from her! Because she's Nikolas' -- my fiancťe.
Mary: It was a mistake.
Nikolas: It was a lie! It was a lie, every -- every word of it! Say something, Mary! Or -- or is that even your real name?
Mary: Yeah. I'm Mary Bishop, and everything I told you about Connor is true -- how we met, how we fell in love, how much we loved each other. When you came into my life, I -- Iíd lost everything -- the only man Iíd ever loved, the man I built my life around. It's all Iíd ever wanted. And when you showed up at my door hurt and lost, I -- I told myself that I was being given a second chance.
Nikolas: You -- you kept me in this house! You -- you begged me -- you begged me not to go into town or anywhere near the hospital because you -- you knew. You knew that my -- oh, my God, my friends and my family, they would see me and expose all your -- all your lies, Mary! You knew that!
Mary: I was afraid of losing you again.
Nikolas: You never had me! I was just some -- some stranger that you -- that you trapped! That you trapped and manipulated for some sick fantasy of yours!
Mary: I gave into an impulse, and somehow, like a miracle, it worked. Because you really -- you seemed to love me. We were happy in Mexico.
Nikolas: Get -- get -- get away. How -- how long? How long did you think you could keep up this lie, Mary?
Mary: It wasn't a lie to me. I really fell in love with you. I had finally moved on from Connor, and --
Nikolas: You -- you knew! You knew that I would find out! That's -- see, that's why -- that's why you tried to get pregnant, because you knew it was a trap. It was a trap. How could you do that?
Mary: I was afraid of being alone. And now that fear's going to happen again -- Iím going to lose someone I love.
Nikolas: No, Mary, you lost Connor Bishop, your husband. You can't lose me!
Mary: But why?
Nikolas: Your -- your husband died months ago, Mary! I was never yours to begin with!
Mary: I don't want you to hate me. I -- I want you to understand --
Nikolas: Oh, I understand. I understand you are sick, and you need help.
Mary: No. Please, I -- I didn't --
Georgie: Thank you, Mike.
Mike: Of course. Listen, your boyfriend hasn't been in for the usual pancakes and cheeseburger. Should I be taking this personally?
Georgie: No, not at all. He's been really into L&B lately.
Brook Lynn: Another innocent sucked into the evil vortex.
Mike: Uh-huh. Well, you tell Dillon we miss his patronage.
Georgie: I will --
Georgie: If I ever see him again.
Brook Lynn: Are you ok? I mean, you and Dillon -- you're not fighting, right?
Dillon: Hey, don't move!
Sage: Oh, my God!
Dillon: Jeez --
Sage: Are you kidding me? You could've killed me with that thing!
Dillon: When -- when is this going to end, ok? I'm not going to sleep with you again.
Trent: For the moody, intellectual geek, you sure have a healthy ego. But you read this one wrong -- Sage is with me.
Sonny: Where's Sam?
Jason: She's upstairs resting.
Sonny: Alcazar brought me proof that Faith hired Nico.
Jason: You want me to take care of it? Let me take care of it.
Sonny: Not yet, not yet. Faith knows that Iím the father of Samís baby.
Sonny: She wrote a letter to Carly telling her everything. If Faith disappears, then, you know, the letter gets delivered. So Faith's lucky. She -- she just saved her life, but you know what? She's going to use this to blackmail me.
Jason: Ok, Faith can wait, what I found out cannot.
Sonny: Oh. You found out what Samís been hiding?
Jason: Yeah, Sam -- Sam went looking for her mom when she was 17.
Jason: The house burned down, and the mother died. Sam was convicted of arson and murder.
Trent: So I figured if Sage wanted to hang while I cleaned up, it wouldn't hurt anyone.
Dillon: Right, because, you know, Sage is really into chilling with the janitor.
Sage: Ok, do you have any idea how snobby and elitist you sound? Why -- why shouldn't I be friends with Trent?
Trent: Look, I got to get to work. You taking off?
Dillon: Oh, you know what? Scam's over, guys. I know the deal. I know what's going down. You're trying to use the studio so you can record tonight.
Sage: Huh. And what are you going to do, call Lois and report us for unauthorized musical activity?
Dillon: No. I'll tell you what -- why don't you call her, ok? You get permission, studio's yours.
Trent: Look, the idea was to have something ready for Lois to listen to. Ok, we wanted to give her a sample of our work.
Dillon: Ok, all right. You know what? If you -- if you come in here later and you use your key to let yourself in and Iím not here, there's no way for me to know about it, right? But right now, I think it's best for you both to leave.
Trent: Let's go, Sage.
Sage: You take off. I need a moment with my old pal Dillon.
Georgie: When I first got together with Dillon I knew nothing about boys, and now that Iím with him, I'm not -- Iím not sure Iím right for him.
Brook Lynn: What happened to, "Dillon, he's not like other guys -- he's wonderful, he respects me, and, oh, my gosh, is he everything wonderful"?
Georgie: He is.
Brook Lynn: So what's the problem?
Georgie: Sage. He -- Sage is the only other girl Dillon has been with since he came into town, and I don't know. It's just -- she's well traveled, she's got this incredible body, so --
Brook Lynn: Ok, Georgie, look, I saw his face when she auditioned and he is not interested.
Georgie: He slept with her, though.
Brook Lynn: He regrets it, though, right?
Georgie: Yeah. I just -- it made Dillon and I unequal. Listen, I'm -- Iím a virgin and he's not.
Brook Lynn: I'm not sure that's an insurmountable obstacle.
Georgie: It's like Dillon and I -- I really want to be with him, and we get really close sometimes, I mean, then something really bizarre happens to stop us.
Brook Lynn: Georgie, Dillon loves you, right?
Brook Lynn: So Iím sure that if you tell him that you want to be together, he'll make it happen.
Georgie: What if Dillon doesn't want to be with me that way?
Lucky: Hey, Lulu, hey. How are you?
Lesley Lu: This is my brother Lucky.
Lucky: Hi. My grandmother told me you were taking care of Lulu. I really appreciate that.
Heather: Oh, it's been my pleasure. She's made me feel like a real part of the family.
Sam: Jason told you?
Sonny: As much as he knows.
Sam: Sonny, look at me. It was an accident, ok? I swear that. Maybe I did, I -- I hated my mother, but I never wanted her dead.
Sonny: Ok, ok, ok.
Sam: I just -- I wanted to keep this in the past. You know, I never wanted to tell you about this.
Sonny: We'll fix this. Somehow we'll -- we'll make it go away.
Carly: So how did Sandra react when you told her that you knew she was a murderer?
Jason: Well, her name is Sam. "Sandra" was just an alias her dad came up with when one of the scams he was running went bad.
Carly: I see. So nothing is her fault, including killing her own mother?
Jason: She was burning some photos, things got out of hand, she thought the house was empty, Carly.
Carly: She's lying, Jason. She's lying. She hated her mom for abandoning her.
Jason: Well, you thought Bobbie had abandoned you. You came to town, you were angry, you deliberately tried to wreck Bobbieís life.
Carly: Yeah, I did, and I did horrible things, but don't you dare try and compare me to a murderer!
Jason: How much damage have you done just by accident, Carly? Yeah, Sam did something stupid. She was emotional, she was hurting, it spiraled out of control. But of all people, you should be able to understand that.
Carly: I understand that she is lying through her teeth, and you are buying every word of it.
Nikolas: You spend a lot of time here. Reminiscing about the time you spent in my house?
Emily: Your --
Nikolas: Wyndemere. You said it belonged to the Cassadines. I'm the Cassadine prince.
Emily: You remember?
Nikolas: Mary told me. Why didn't you? When did you first realize I was alive? The night on the beach in Mexico?
Nikolas: Hmm. Did it ever occur to you to tell me the truth?
Emily: I didn't -- I didn't want to shock or panic you. Mary's lie was so elaborate and you believed that you had a completely different life.
Nikolas: Believed, believed. So you just let me go on believing, while you worked to -- to become my -- my friend. You took me to the hospital. You took me on a tour of my own home, Emily, and you said nothing! Why?
Emily: I wanted to let you remember on your own.
Nikolas: Four words. Four words, Emily -- "You are Nikolas Cassadine," "You are my fiancť," "I love you, Nikolas." If you felt all those things, then how could you pretend that we were strangers?
Emily: To give you time to remember on your own.
Nikolas: My life was a lie, and you knew it. And you could've helped me, but you didn't do it.
Emily: I -- I wanted to, but my brother Jason was in a similar accident and he ended up resenting everyone who tried to force him to remember his old life.
Nikolas: So -- so, what? So, what, play games with me?
Emily: No. I tried to help you find your way back to me in your own time. I wanted you to feel safe when you finally remembered who you really were. I know that this must be confusing to you, and I --
Nikolas: No, it's not confusing at all. Mary lied because she was desperate and lonely. You lied because you didn't think I was capable enough to handle my own life.
Nikolas: You manipulated me!
Emily: No. I -- I wanted -- I wanted to tell you the night we made love. I had -- I had a picture of us together, and I was reaching for it in my bag when you got the call about Maryís accident.
Nikolas: So, what -- so, what, I'm supposed to chalk up all your lies to bad timing?
Emily: No, I wanted to do what was right for you!
Nikolas: I really wish I could believe you.
Emily: Anything I did, I did to protect you, because I love you.
Nikolas: If that's true, then that's really sad. Because I don't remember. And I don't love you.
Sage: Ok, I realize that you have selective memory, but I'm the one who wound up in the hospital, remember?
Dillon: Hey, I know, and you obviously made a full recovery and that's great. I mean, I'm really happy for you. So be a singer, be a star, be whatever you want to be, but stop pushing me to be more than your friend, because that's not going to happen.
Sage: Have you noticed that you're the only one who keeps bringing up my supposed crush on you? I'm over it, Dillon, and you should be, too. See you.
Brook Lynn: Smooth. Seems like you got a way with the ladies, yeah?
Dillon: She has a flare for the dramatic.
Brook Lynn: You're not in to her, are you?
Dillon: What? No, the only person I'm in to is Georgie.
Brook Lynn: Look, I believe you, ok? I'm just -- I'm not sure that Georgie does.
Jason: Sam may be a lot of things, but she's not a killer.
Carly: Tell it to her dead mother.
Jason: Carly, it was an accident. She didn't even know her mom was in the house.
Carly: Yeah, so she says.
Jason: It was a terrible mistake, and I'm going to help her just like Iíve helped you over and over again.
Carly: Jason, you cannot be objective when it comes to Sam. She is an arsonist, she is a murderer, and she is an absolute danger to everybody that you love.
Sonny: I just wish you would've told me about this sooner.
Sam: I'm ashamed.
Sonny: Hey -- you don't have to be ashamed. I mean, you know, I never felt rage like I did the first time my stepfather and I got into a fight. We tore up the house. I beat that bastard within one inch of his life. Your home is where you're supposed to feel -- supposed to feel safe. Parents are supposed to give a damn about you, and when they don't, that hurts. I know that hurts, ok? The pain doesn't just go away, it takes a while.
Sam: And she just -- you know, she made me feel like I was nothing.
Sonny: She's gone now. There's no way you and our baby are going to go to prison for an accident.
Sam: I just -- I don't want this baby to have to pay for my mistakes, Sonny.
Sonny: She won't, she won't.
Sam: But someday she's going to ask about her grandmother.
Sonny: Well, you know what you're going to tell her? You're going to tell her the truth. When this baby's old enough, you're going to -- you're going to look at her and you're going to say, "My mother abandoned me when I was a kid and it hurt. And there's no way, because of how much I love you, that I could let that ever happen to you." That's all that's going to matter.
Sam: Thank you.
Sonny: Now, there's something you need to give to me.
Sonny: I need to know the rest of it, all right? If Iím going to get you out of this, you got to tell me everything about your life.
Man: How you doing?
Mike: Hi. How are you?
Man: I'm Sheriff Wade. I was wondering if you'd seen this woman.
Mike: Well, I'm -- Iím the manager and I'm here all the time, and I can honestly tell you Iíve never seen this woman in my life.
Carly: If Sam is capable of burning down a house with her own mother in it, she is capable of anything. What if she decides that she wants Sonny back, and his family is in the way? I have two small children in this house!
Jason: I know, Carly. Come on, Samís not going to hurt Michael and Morgan.
Carly: How do you know that? I am not willing to risk that, but I guess you are!
Jason: I took care of Michael when you were afraid to hold him. I would give my life for Michael and Morgan, so don't ever accuse me of not putting them first. You don't know half the sacrifices I made for you and for them.
Carly: You don't see her as a threat because she is carrying your child. But I am sorry. I have got to protect my family --
Jason: Don't --
Carly: And that includes you, Jase.
Jason: No, don't protect me, Carly. Just don't do anything.
Carly: No, I'm sorry. I can't promise that I am not --
Jason: I'm telling you -- leave Sam alone!
Sonny: Are you done?
Jason: I can't be anywhere near her.
Sonny: I understand Jasonís all worked up. So what happened? What's going on?
Carly: Did he tell you about Sam?
Sonny: Yeah -- she's been convicted of murder, but you don't know the --
Carly: No, she burned down her mother's house and she killed her. She is a threat to this family, Sonny, and Jason cannot see it, and I need you to. She needs to leave -- tonight.
Sam: Can I ask what happened, or should I just tactfully withdraw?
Jason: I'm hoping Carly will keep her mouth shut.
Sam: How'd you work that?
Jason: I'm just trusting she will. She's one of my best friends.
Sam: Thanks for believing in me, Jason.
Jason: Sam, Iíve seen you in some extreme circumstances. I know you're not a killer.
Sam: All right, then what do we do now?
Jason: Well, Sonny and I will handle it, but no more games. Is there anything else I need to know?
Emily: There was a time on the docks I thought I saw you in the distance, but when I got through the fog, you were gone. I didn't know you were alive then. I thought I was dreaming.
Nikolas: No, look, look, I don't doubt that you grieved over me when you thought I was dead, but that doesn't explain -- that doesn't explain why you lied to me, why you deceived me, why you slept with me without telling me the truth.
Emily: Don't you understand? This is exactly what I was afraid of -- you are shutting down on me!
Nikolas: No, I am reacting to months of lies from you!
Emily: You asked me to describe my relationship with Nikolas and that's what I did. I told you how much I loved you.
Nikolas: You told -- but you didn't -- but you didn't tell me the little detail that I was the Nikolas you were talking about!
Emily: The therapist said your memory was intact! I thought it was better for you to remember on your own!
Nikolas: Really? Now, who gave you the right to make that decision for me, to let me go on living my life as a lie?
Emily: Loving you did.
Nikolas: Wow. That's exactly what Mary said.
Emily: Don't compare me to her.
Nikolas: I -- you know what? What you did was worse. Mary lied to a complete stranger. You lied to someone -- someone you claim to love. She --
Emily: I do love you. Don't make it sound like --
Nikolas: She just -- she smothered me in -- in need, and you treated me like a -- like a lab rat!
Lucky: Hey, you need to calm down!
Nikolas: What -- just -- you need to calm down!
Lucky: No, I can't!
Nikolas: Look who -- look who it is! My brother, another -- another person who betrayed me.
Georgie: Hey. I thought you'd still be at work.
Dillon: Yeah, I -- I had more important things to do.
Dillon: Like take my girlfriend for a walk by the lake, supply her with tasty beverages.
Georgie: Where's all this coming from?
Dillon: I -- um -- I realized I wasn't giving you the attention you deserve, which is all of mine. I think we need to be alone.
Georgie: You know, it's like -- it's like you're reading my mind, because --
Georgie: I was just talking --
Georgie: You're here because of Brook, aren't you?
Dillon: Well, no, I'm here because I wanted to spend more time with you. I might've had a tiny nudge from a friend.
Georgie: Are you telling me that she told you that I wanted to have sex?
Lucky: I get that you're angry, but you just can't come in here --
Nikolas: No -- I've been lied to for months by -- by everyone, including you.
Lucky: Ok, Emily was trying to protect --
Nikolas: No, I've heard all the excuses and -- and the lies! And I don't remember either one of you, and that's just fine with me. I don't owe you -- I don't owe you my love, I don't owe you my -- my forgiveness, and I don't owe -- I don't owe you, either one of you, any more of my time!
Lucky: What -- you know what? You canít.
Nikolas: You --
Emily: Wait -- Nikolas, stop! Nikolas! Nikolas -- stop -- stop it! Lucky's your brother, and you love him!
Nikolas: You stay away from me. You stay away from me. I can't stand the sight of either one of you! Get away from me! Both of you, get away from me!
Carly: This is not about me being jealous of Samís relationship with Jason.
Sonny: You're possessive of Jason. You always have been, Carly.
Carly: I love him. I love him and, yes, I am worried that Sam is going to do something to hurt him, but he is a grown man. He can take that chance. Michael and Morgan are innocent, little children, and if she is capable of killing her mother, I don't want her anywhere near our children.
Sonny: Sam isn't a threat.
Carly: Sonny, how can you seriously believe that she accidentally burned down a house with her mother inside of it?
Sonny: Sam is carrying Jasonís baby. We -- we have an obligation to keep her safe.
Carly: Ok. Fine. Send her to a safe house in the mountains; get her the best doctors. And then once she has that baby, pay her off, and make her leave for good.
Sonny: There's no need to send her away.
Carly: Sonny, she is an arsonist. She is an arsonist. She could flip out, and she could decide to burn this whole building down. Why are you willing to risk the lives of our children on the off chance that she may not be a pathological liar?
[Knock on door]
Officer: Police officers! Open it up, or we'll break it down!
Sonny: What are you doing?
Officer: We have a warrant for the arrest of Sandra McIntire, A.K.A. Sam McCall, but it looks like she already got away.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Georgie: Friends like you I really don't need.
Jax: I thought we were getting to know each other. Now I find out that you flat-out lied to me.
Lois: Who says I asked you to come here to discuss business?
Nikolas: Why are you waiting for me? We already said it all.
Emily: Not exactly.
Jason: Do you swear it was an accident?
