Tracy: Actually, I realized that A.J.痴 vote hadn't been transferred to another share-holding family member, so I took care of it.

Alan: That's the swing vote.

Skye: Well, who is it?

Dillon: Hey Mom, you wanted to see me? Um -- I have a DVD to return.

Luke: Run as fast as your little legs will carry you, kid.

Tracy: Not until you decide the entire future of our family.

Skye: We're deadlocked over who should be C.E.O. of E.L.Q.

Edward: You, my dear grandson, have the deciding vote.

Luke: So it looks like you get to choose between your grandfather and your ma.

Felicia: I wanted to solve this case on my own, but there's not going to be enough time. I want you to put out an A.P.B. on Mac.

Lucky: It's already done. We're doing everything we can to find him.

Felicia: He's fighting for his life. He's extremely vulnerable to infection right now. He needs to be in a hospital.

Georgie: Oh, my God, Dad!

Zander: What do you know, Dad? I finally screwed up even bigger than you expected. I killed my own father.

Judge: Mr. And Mrs. Corinthos, I asked to speak to you individually to see if you were capable of being honest about the welfare of your children instead of grandstanding, which you both did throughout open testimony. And after much consideration, I'm prepared to render my decision as to the custody of Michael and Morgan Corinthos. It's clear that you both love your children very much, and to remove the boys from either parent would be damaging. So I致e decided to do what you both requested in private, and grant joint custody of the children. The time will be divided equally between the two of you. Is this an agreement that you can both accept?

Carly: Yes, your honor.

Dillon: Ok. So -- so, what, for an entire year of nobody caring about my opinion whatsoever, now you guys want me to decide who runs the family business?

Edward: I've already told you, son -- I believe you have fantastic potential.

Tracy: How many times have I told you you were destined for greatness?

Dillon: I don't know, mom. How many times have you needed something from me?

Skye: Ouch.

Ned: Dillon, you hold the final vote. Now, I think if you give your mother a chance, she's got some very good ideas to turn this company around.

Skye: Yeah, like locking your grandfather in a mental hospital.

Tracy: To protect the family.

Monica: Edward's mind is just fine. It's his health that's fragile.

Alan: There wouldn't even be an E.L.Q. without father.

Dillon: Luke, what do you think?

Tracy: Oh, my goodness. You trust his opinion?

Luke: You seem to be moving from a Spielberg world into something more Scorsese/Fellini/Depalma.

Dillon: All right, all right, all right, all right. Do you want me to care about the family? I'll care about the family. Tell me about the issues.

Edward: Oh, look, look, we haven't got time for this. You vote for me, I値l buy you a car, any car you want.

Tracy: Mm-hmm. Vote for me and I'll send you to film school.

Edward: Why go to school when I can finance the picture now?

Dillon: Stop! I -- I got to think, all right? Alone.

Luke: Ok, he needs time to think alone. Everybody out. Let's go.

Edward: You don't tell me to leave my own home.

Monica: Everybody out!

Alan: All right.

Tracy: My darling, your grandfather is treacherous on a good day. He never showed any interest in you at all in your life until I forced him to pay attention. I'm your mother. I have loved and adored you from the day you were born. Remember that when you make your decision.

Dillon: Can you believe this?

Luke: From that crowd, I can believe anything.

Dillon: You know, all I wanted to do -- all I wanted to do tonight was just stay home and watch my "Back to the Future" trilogy and not have to think.

Luke: Well, I'm afraid time travel will have to wait, my friend. It's time to step up. You have to decide.

Maxie: Nobody knew what happened to you.

Felicia: It's good to see you.

Lucky: It's good to see you, boss.

Felicia: Are you all right?

Mac: Better now.

Lucky: Are you the person who found the commissioner?

Nurse: Yeah. I'm sure you have a lot of questions, but right now the commissioner really needs to get to his room.

Lucky: "John Doe"?

Felicia: You were at Mercy Hospital?

Mac: That's where I woke up, and nobody knew who I was.

Felicia: How did you end up there?

Zander: I never meant to start that fire, dad. It -- things just got out of control.

[Zander groans]

Man: What are you doing down here?

Zander: I got lost.

Man: The hell you did. You're the guy they're looking for -- Zander Smith. I'm calling the police.

Zander: No, no, no!

Zander: Damn it!

Zander: I never meant for any of this to happen.

Zander: I didn't mean to kill you. I just -- I didn't mean to do any of it. But I've been given a second chance. I won't screw up this time, ok? I'm -- I知 going to make my life count.

Sonny: Carly, you ok?

Carly: Yeah. Yeah, I'm -- I知 fine.

Sonny: Jason?

Jason: I'm right here. We're ok, we're ok.

Judge: Check the halls.

Guard: Yes, sir.

Judge: It sounded like the explosion came from outside.

Sonny: Max, what the hell happened?

Max: It was your car.

Sonny: What?

Alexis: I guess we can just assume that that was meant for Sonny.

Sonny: Jason, go home. Check on the kids. Make sure they're safe. Find out who did this.

Jason: Ok, ok, I'll take care of it. You going to be ok?

Courtney: Yeah, I'm fine. Just take care of yourself.

Justus: Does anyone need a doctor?

Carly: Lorenzo?

Judge: Bailiff?

Carly: Hurry up! It looks serious.

Dillon: If I choose my grandfather, my mom's going to come down on me like the queen in "Aliens," and if I don't, basically taking away granddaddy's reason to live, so --

Luke: So it's complicated, sure. It's tricky doing business with lunatics. But, unfortunately, that's your responsibility. So I suggest you embrace the motto desunio piccatio obligatiadio.

Dillon: Loosely translated?

Luke: Well, I can't really loosely translate it because I don't know what it means. I just made it up. But what I知 saying is take the money, and to hell with everybody.

Tracy: So now you're a thief --

Skye: Hey --

Tracy: And a liar?

Skye: Get your hands off me!

Tracy: If you think I知 going to let you spy for daddy, you've got another thing coming.

Skye: If you shut up, maybe we can both figure out what's going on in there.

Tracy: Oh.

Zander: You know, the only time I can ever remember being happy was when Pete and I were kids and when Emily and I got together. She agreed to marry me. I -- I thought my love could save her like the way that she saved me. And when her cancer went into remission, I thought I was going to get the chance to make it all right; stop hating myself for the past, just -- just to be happy. Nikolas was already in the way. If he was gone, Emily could remember how we completed each other. She could just fall in love with me all over again. We could be a family -- me and Emily and -- and your grandchild. If Elizabeth has a little boy, we're going to name him Cameron after you, ok? My little boy's going to know that his granddad had a good side. You know, the funny thing about losing everything, dad, you stop being afraid. You understand what -- what's important in life and how to get it. I'm going to have the family that I always wanted, and I'm going to make you proud of me. I'm going to make you proud of your son.

Felicia: Here you go.

[Mac groans]

Felicia: So you can't remember anything?

Mac: I -- I was at G.H. The nurse wanted to change my bandages. She must've given me a sedative. The next thing I know, I was waking up at Mercy.

Maxie: That is so weird.

Felicia: Do they have any record of admitting you to mercy?

Mac: They found me on a gurney in the E.R. I was unconscious. They must've assumed the paperwork had been lost.

Georgie: Why would someone move dad to a different hospital?

Felicia: Whoever took you out of General Hospital went to a lot of trouble to take care of your wounds.

Maxie: Let's not worry about who did it. All that matters is dad is back.

Georgie: Yeah, we -- we love you so much.

Carly: Is he going to be all right?

Paramedic: He's stable but unconscious. The injuries don't look life-threatening, but we'll take care of him.

Alexis: Any chance you want to rethink your decision, your honor?

Justus: The judge has already made a decision.

Alexis: The courthouse just exploded, in case you didn't notice. Good thing the kids weren't in there! They'd have been obliterated!

Justus: Your honor, it's much too early to speculate how or why Mr. Corinthos' car exploded. It could've been an accident.

Alexis: Ha! Like hell!

Justus: Your honor, you've made a decision. You should stick to it.

Judge: Ms. Davis makes a good point. I already had serious reservations about the violence surrounding Mr. Corinthos.

Alexis: What more evidence do you need? The court has an obligation to protect the children from their father.

Justus: Your client agreed to joint custody. We can work out the details and talk in the morning.

Sonny: No!

Tracy: Where did you get that perfume, a thrift store?

Skye: Why don't you get a better lipstick to go with that dead animal --?

Tracy: Will you shut up? I'm trying to hear my son.

Edward: You still listening at keyholes, Tracy?

Tracy: Daddy, I am just trying to hear my son place the family's future where it belongs -- firmly in my fist.

Dillon: I can't believe this. You're listening at the door? Look, guys, this is my decision, and I'll make it when I'm good and ready.

Luke: You know, he only asked for time. For God's sake, give him a little time.

Skye: Luke's right, and Edward, you really should be resting. You know, you haven't finished your recovery yet.

Tracy: Daddy, don't worry. You'll have plenty of time to rest when I take over as C.E.O.

Tracy: Hi. It's Tracy Quartermaine. Look, I need to see you right away. I have a job that only you can do.

Elizabeth: Emily? Hey, Em? Are you in here?

Emily: Elizabeth? Hey.

Elizabeth: Hi.

Emily: Thanks for coming so quickly.

Elizabeth: Of course. What's going on?

Felicia: Why would somebody kidnap a burn victim and then drop him in another hospital as a John Doe?

Lucky: Somebody with a grudge against Mac. They tried to hurt him but couldn't follow through.

Felicia: Well, that's possible. As a police commissioner, I'm sure he has a lot of enemies. But how could that person get away with it? I mean, Mac could barely move. I mean, he couldn't see --

Lucky: Felicia, listen --

Felicia: He could be easily spotted.

Lucky: Just let the police handle this. Listen, you got bigger issues to worry about. Maxie -- she's been pretty torn up with you gone.

Felicia: That's really sweet of you to notice.

Lucky: Listen, I'm going to do what I can, but you're really the one the girls need right now. So, please, do your family a favor and let this mystery go.

Tony: Is this patient from the E.R.?

Nurse: Yes. There are no changes. Here's his chart.

Lucky: What happened?

Nurse: He got hit by broken glass. There was an explosion outside the courthouse.

Lucky: Do you know the source?

Nurse: A car blew up. The limo belonged to Sonny Corinthos.

Lorenzo: Carly --

Sonny: Your honor -- when -- when you asked if I壇 agree to joint custody, I didn't get a chance to answer.

Judge: I'll hear your answer now, Mr. Corinthos.

Sonny: I don't want to share custody with Carly.

Carly: No, no, no, Sonny, wait.

Sonny: I -- I spent a lot of money trying to protect my sons -- 24-hour security, bulletproof windows, and I just -- I got to tell you, your honor, I -- I'm living in a dream world if I believe that my sons are safer with me.

Justus: Your honor, I need a moment alone with my client.

Judge: Court is no longer in session. I want to hear what the man has to say.

Justus: Think about --

Sonny: Just let me -- I want to -- I want to protect my family and their mother. My first wife and child died in a car bomb, and I never, ever want to lose anyone like that again. I love my sons. I want to keep them safe. And if that means giving them up, then that's what I知 going to have to do.

Judge: You need to be sure about what you're saying, Mr. Corinthos.

Sonny: Yeah, I'm sure, your honor. I -- I want Carly to have full custody of my sons.

Justus: Your honor, my client has just been through a traumatic event. I suggest we reconvene after he's had time to think about this.

Sonny: This is my decision, Justus.

Sonny: It's what's best for my sons.

Judge: Very well. Mrs. Corinthos, I am granting you full custody of Michael and Morgan. If Mr. Corinthos wants to see either of them, he'll have to clear it with you at least 48 hours in advance.

Carly: Your honor, that won't be necessary.

Judge: It's at your discretion. Since it's clear that both of you are putting the welfare of your children first, I'll leave it to you to work out the details.

Sonny: We're done here.

Courtney: Sonny?

Courtney: What you did in there was amazing, and I always knew that you were a good father. But you just proved it.

Justus: She's right. You made the right choice. You set a fine example for your sons.

Alexis: I assume our business is over.

Carly: You got lucky, Alexis. Sonny gave up the boys after you screwed up the case.

Alexis: It's over. Whether or not you approve of my strategy is immaterial.

Carly: You attacked Sonny on the stand when I told you not to. You -- you used privileged information that I gave you. Isn't that some violation of an attorney's code?

Alexis: You told me to win.

Carly: And you brought up those breakdowns for your own reasons. Don't think I don't know it. Because you felt that if Sonny was declared unstable, then you would have less of a chance of losing Kristina.

Alexis: If you don't like the way I comply with blackmail, that's too damn bad. You told me to get your children back at any cost. I got them back for you, and there you are, talking about reconciliation -- right on schedule. You know what? You're sick. Not only that, the two of you are the most narcissistic, self-centered couple I have ever met. You two get turned on by this bizarre mating ritual and you don't give a damn whose lives you destroy in the process. I'm sure the two of you will be back together in about five minutes, and goody for you. You two deserve each other, and I'm sure that at some point you will tell Sonny that Kristina is his daughter. Go ahead. I don't give a damn. I am sick and tired of you.

Carly: Now, just calm down, Alexis. Your secret's safe.

Alexis: For how long?

Carly: For as long as I want you to owe me, and when I don't anymore, I will tell Sonny. So be nice, Alexis, because I could be using your services again very soon.

Dillon: Hey.

Georgie: Hey.

Dillon: I've been looking all over for you.

Georgie: Did something happen?

Dillon: Huh? Oh, no. Just -- I don't know -- my biblically dysfunctional family practically imploding again. It's a different situation but it's always the same dynamic.

Georgie: Well, I'd -- I壇 like to help if you'll let me.

Sage: So, what was so urgent?

Tracy: Well, Dillon holds a voting position on the E.L.Q. board. I need to ensure that he votes me in as C.E.O.

Sage: What does that have to do with me?

Tracy: I have to blackmail him and I want you to get something incriminating on Georgie Jones.

Sage: Good luck. Georgie's practically a nun.

Tracy: Everybody has secrets.

Sage: If Dillon ever found out that I helped you trash Georgie, he'd never speak to me again.

Tracy: Yes, but if he doesn't vote my way, I知 sending him to military school and you won't speak to him there, either.

Sage: Forget it. You do your own dirty work. I'm through being manipulated by you.

Felicia: Mac says that you were the one that found him at Mercy Hospital.

Nurse: Mm-hmm.

Felicia: Did you see anybody drop him off?

Nurse: No. He was just lying there on the gurney, already bandaged.

Felicia: Thank you for helping him.

Nurse: I know. You might actually check at General. There's probably a mix-up -- paperwork, something.

Felicia: Could you give it a little bit more time? I'm a private investigator, and from my experience, I've found that just a little bit of detail can help in a case like this.

Nurse: Sure.

Felicia: Now, Mac told me that when you came back in, you were coming back in from your break.

Nurse: Mm-hmm.

Felicia: If you would, imagine walking into the hospital. Did you see anything unusual?

Nurse: Well, actually, now, come to think of it, there was something.

Felicia: Tell me.

Nurse: Well, there was a man across the street, and he was carrying bandages and supplies, but he was running off from the hospital. I remember wondering who he was.

Felicia: Can you describe him?

Nurse: I couldn't see his face, but my friend Nancy said nobody had come to the hospital while I was on break, so he couldn't have been an outpatient.

Felicia: Ok, well thanks, Hilda.

Hilda: Mm-hmm.

Felicia: You may have helped me identify the person who kidnapped Mac.

Emily: It was the most wonderful surprise. I mean, the church was perfect, and we just -- we stood there and looked into each other's eyes and pledged our love.

Elizabeth: Mm-hmm.

Emily: Oh, Liz, I知 just so sure of Nikolas.

Elizabeth: I'm so glad, Emily. You deserve to be happy after everything that happened with Zander.

Emily: Yeah. That's -- that's the hardest part.

Elizabeth: I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought it up.

Emily: No, no, no, no, no, it's ok. It's just, you know, I loved him once. I never meant to hurt him.

Elizabeth: Yeah, well, neither did I. I'm going to feel sorry for the rest of my life that I hit -- that I -- I killed him.

Emily: No, I mean, I'm responsible, too. I'm the reason he started acting out in the first place.

Elizabeth: No, no, no, no. Don't do this to yourself, Emily. Don't search for reasons to be guilty. You and Nikolas are going to have an amazing life together, and so are Ric and the baby and I. None of us meant to hurt Zander, and the best thing for us all is just get on with our lives.

Emily: I know. I'm so happy with Nikolas, and I thank God every day that we have a lifetime to love each other. But, you know, my memories of Zander haven't gone away, you know? Even when the person you cared for dies, they're always going to be in your heart.

Skye: You know, Luke, I was really disappointed in you tonight.

Luke: Well, that'll teach you to put your faith in me.

Skye: No, I'm serious. I thought that you were going to help us with Dillon.

Luke: I did. I told the kid to do what was right for him. That's what you did when you told the Quartermaines you'd rather run the Haunted Star than get sucked back into that family lunacy.

Skye: Well -- yeah, I guess you have a point.

Luke: Come on. You made the right decision. I'm a lot more fun than the Quartermaines.

Skye: Huh. Chinese water torture is a lot more fun than the Quartermaines.

Luke: I'm even more fun than bamboo shoots under your fingernails.

Skye: Yeah. Yeah, you are -- most of the time.

Luke: You're very perceptive, you know.

Skye: Say, why don't we go count our take for the evening, huh? The tables should be closing up soon.

Luke: Ooh, lady, you say all the right things.

Dillon: I don't know, it felt kind of cool to be included for once. Is that lame?

Georgie: No. No, Dillon, the Quartermaines are your family, and they should love you no matter what. It's ok to want that. Look, if we didn't -- if we didn't have love to hope for, life would be pretty boring. And what else would there be to live for?

Dillon: Uh -- well, thank you.

Georgie: You're amazing, Dillon. You deserve the best. You were raised by this -- this monster, and you've turned out to be the greatest guy that I've ever known.

Dillon: Uh -- well, that -- yeah -- thing about thanks, double that.

Georgie: The Quartermaines may not deserve you, but they sure are lucky to have you care about them so much.

Dillon: Oh -- get that for you.

Carly: You're still here.

Sonny: Yeah. Police are outside questioning Max. Vic's on his way up.

Carly: Sonny, thank you.

Sonny: Ah, you know. It's for the best.

Carly: I want you to know that when I was talking to the judge alone, I told him that Michael and Morgan have a very good father. The boys need you, Sonny, and you can see them anytime that you want.

Sonny: I'll miss them.

Carly: I know. Do you -- they don't have to come to my place right away. You take the time you need --

Sonny: No, they have to come tonight, because the sooner that you take them; the sooner they'll be safe.

Courtney: Um -- I'm sorry. I'll come back.

Sonny: No, it's ok. Is Vic here?

Courtney: Yeah, he's -- he's outside.

Sonny: I'll see you.

Carly: This is killing him.

Courtney: Sonny did the right thing. You know, Michael and Morgan will be safer with you. At least they will be, if --

Carly: Ok, I know -- I know what you're thinking. I know you were worried about the boys being near Lorenzo.

Courtney: So, what are you going to do?

Carly: What Sonny did. I'm going to do what's right for my children. And no matter how it may hurt, I'm just going to tell Lorenzo it's over.

Dillon: I think you might have a future as a shrink.

Georgie: Actually, I got the whole "they're dysfunctional but they're yours" theme from "Home for the Holidays."

Dillon: Jodie Foster directs Holly Hunter -- totally underrated flick, yeah.

Georgie: I'm glad you made me see it.

Dillon: Have I ever told you how cool I think it is that you, like, relate everything to movies now, too?

Georgie: Well, I did spend a lot of time with the master.

Dillon: And you -- you listen when we talk. That is -- that's so important to me.

Georgie: You've taken care of me plenty of times. I more than owed you.

Dillon: So -- um -- how are things with Tom? Is he still making you happy?

Georgie: Not like you did.

Dillon: Before I wrecked everything.

Georgie: We both made mistakes, Dillon.

Dillon: I told Sage that I couldn't be her friend today.

Georgie: Why?

Dillon: Because I feel like I can't trust her. Trust matters to me.

Georgie: Did she flip out?

Dillon: She'll be ok. You know, the truth is that the one person that I've ever really believed in was you.

Georgie: I believe in you, too.

Dillon: Hey, Georgie, the thing about movies -- besides a great beginning is that every one has a great second act. I think maybe this here could be ours.

Sage (on phone): Hi, it's Sage. I'll do whatever it takes to tear that bitch apart.

Felicia: You just sit back and relax and let me and the girls take good care of you.

Mac: Who you trying to fool, Felicia? I can see it in your eyes. You're already halfway out the door.

Felicia: Oh, no. Not this time.

Mac: You can't wait to start investigating who kidnapped me and why.

Felicia: Oh -- ok. Yeah, that's a little bit disturbing. But what makes me really furious is that somebody actually risked your health.

Mac: My health is fine. It'll be even better if you let this mystery go unsolved.

Felicia: Well, I am perfectly capable of figuring out what happened and taking good care of you at the same time.

Mac: I don't think Maxie and Georgie would agree. They're gun-shy, Felicia. Your habit of jumping feet-first into every new adventure -- it's what tore our family apart in the first place.

Felicia: I only stayed away for so long because no one bothered to call me and tell me what was happening at home.

Mac: I know I should've been honest with you about what was happening with the girls while you were in Texas.

Felicia: Hmm.

Mac: I was wrong to make that decision on my own. But you're here now. The girls need you. Stay. Please stay and take care of them. I mean, it's not going to give you the same kind of rush as chasing down a criminal, but it's worth so much more. Felicia, Georgie and Maxie need their mother. They need you.

Emily: Nikolas? Are you back?

Leticia: Oh, hi. I was just about to put the boys to bed.

Sonny: It's ok. Let me have -- let me have Morgan, and can you do me a favor? Hey, buddy. Can you -- right, look, look? Yeah, can you tell Michael to come down? I got to talk to him about something. Hey, hey, hey.

Leticia: Michael? Daddy's home. He wants to talk to you. Come here.

Sonny: What's going on? Yeah. Yeah.

Michael: Are you done at the courthouse?

Sonny: Huh?

Michael: Are you done at the courthouse? Who did the judge say I'm going to live with?

Sonny: Come here, sit down. It all worked out great.

[Morgan fusses]

Michael: So, mommy didn't cry? She's happy?

Sonny: She's very happy. You and Morgan are going to live with -- with your mommy.

Michael: What about you?

[Morgan fusses]

Sonny: I'm going to love you boys your whole life. When you get a little older, you're going to understand --

[Morgan fusses]

Sonny: Hey -- why I -- I had to make this decision.

[Sonny talks baby talk]

Sonny: Ok? I'm your poppy, right?

Michael: Yeah.

Sonny: And I have to do what's best for you. Come here, give me a hug.

Jason: This is wrong.

Courtney: Sonny wants the boys to be safe.

Jason: Yeah, I know he does. But the boys need their mother and their father.

Courtney: Well, Carly said that Sonny can visit them anytime.

Jason: Well, you don't think they're going to miss Sonny? You don't think they're going to ask for him? I can't believe this is happening. They should've agreed to joint custody.

Carly: Hey, Lorenzo. Are you awake?

Lorenzo: I'm so glad you're ok.

Carly: I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner. Things were a bit of a mess at the courthouse.

Lorenzo: You're here now.

Carly: Lorenzo, what's going on? Why won't you look at me?

Lorenzo: Well, it's a -- it's a hell of a thing. I'm blind.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Georgie: What are you doing here?

Sage: What does it look like?

Tracy: I have every confidence that you're going to make the right decision.

Emily: Now, who could that be?

Carly: I'm sorry.

Lorenzo: Hey, you were about to tell me something when you came in.
