Jax: you getting ready to dive for treasure? Looks like I beat you to it.
Skye: You know, for someone who considers himself the original Maverick, you're painfully predictable.
Luke: Ouch. You really know how to hurt a guy. Now be gone. I'm in no mood for a good talking-to.
Skye: So you don't like Christmas, okay? You're entitled, and [missing]
Luke: Thank you.
Skye: You're also entitled to shine it all on with a bottle of booze [missing] blues, but what you're not entitled to is to dump on me in the process, okay? I'm not that desperate for a friend.
Jason: Step away from my wife.
Courtney: No, Jason, it's okay. It’s just Brian. He was trying to help.
Faith: Oh, gee. Which is worse, taking out Santa or a cop?
Sonny: For once, your timing is impeccable. Carly and I -- we just finished making love. You can go ahead and take a good look if you'd like. But you know what, you can declare your love for Carly again. It's not going to matter.
Lorenzo: Is this what you want?
Carly: It's what I've always wanted. You just wouldn't hear it.
Sonny: You know what, Alcazar? I'm sorry to say this, but maybe you needed to humiliate yourself to finally get the point, but now you should have it loud and clear. But just in case you don't --Carly is my wife. She doesn't belong to you, and she never will.
Jax: Sam, we already have everything that's immediately retrievable treasure down there.
Jax: Yes, but it's underneath Nikolas' freighter.
Sam: Yes, I know, it's small. I can fit through tight spaces.
Jax: Sam, the water is [missing] that long with the equipment that we have, okay? We need better equipment.
Sam: That's going to take time. I don't have that, Jax.
Jax: Why not? [missing] on top of a sunken treasure.
Sam: Nikolas is not the problem. My self-serving, greedy con man of a father is.
Man: I’m Bartholomew Cody. I'm here to apply for the butler's position.
Alexis: Very nice to meet you. Actually, it's more like a major-domo because [missing] size, so the new butler will be taking on extra duties without any additional pay, which is why the last one quit.
Cody: Well, I think it's very smart to be [missing] during these troubled times.
Alexis: So this [missing] you?
Cody: No, no, I'm very good at multitasking. In addition to being a butler, I've also been a bodyguard, and I'm very good around boats, so I could do triple duty – [missing] pilot.
Alexis: Emily, Nikolas, this is Mr. Cody. He’s interested in being our new butler.
Nikolas: Really? Why would you want to work [missing] for all its and purposes a deserted island?
Cody: Well, actually, it's Port Charles that I'm really interested in.
Nikolas: May I ask why?
Cody: My daughter and I are estranged, unfortunately, and she recently moved to the area, and I wanted to [missing] our relationship.
Cody: And of course, a man has to make a living.
Nikolas: Of course, of course. I think there's a little more to it, though.
Luke: We are in a cease and desist [missing] zone. Take your good tidings of joy whatever and spread them somewhere else.
Skye: Oh, I intend to. [missing] decorations that are left, whatever ornaments survived your rampage, and I am going to take them to the homeless shelter. [missing]
Luke: Like me.
Skye: You said it, not me.
Luke: Are you one of these millions of people whose [missing]
[Part of transcript missing]
Brian: I'm really sorry about this, Courtney.
Jason: You can't be serious.
Brian: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
Lorenzo: So Carly belongs to you? She's your possession? Is this the life you want?
Sonny: Okay, you still don't get it, Alcazar? What -- what do we have to do here?
Carly: Maybe he needs to hear it from me. When I collapsed the other day, I had another dream. I realized the truth. I realized that I love my husband and it feels right. I said it to him in the dream, and then when I woke up and I opened my eyes, I was looking into my husband's and I didn't feel afraid. And I didn't feel disoriented and I didn't feel disconnected. I felt exactly where I belonged. I felt loved and complete. And I don't know, whatever it was that I felt in my head for you, whatever that thing was that happened, it's gone now. I'm exactly where I belong, and I have exactly what I want, and which is what I always wanted -- it's to be with Sonny in the life that we made together.
Lorenzo: So you're happy being treated like a prisoner? You enjoy his jealous rages, his paranoia?
Sonny: Okay, you know, Alcazar, I mean, you heard what she just said. She just told you. I mean, give it up. Game over. You lose.
Cody: These are my references. I'd be more than willing to work on a trial basis. With time to get to know me, perhaps I can dispel the young man's suspicions.
Nikolas: Forgive me. I didn't mean to be rude. I'm just -- I'm going through a cynical phase right now. You ready?
Nikolas: Ready? It's your call. Whatever you decide, it's fine with me.
Alexis: Enjoy your walk.
Cody: I can assure you, my only ulterior motive in applying for this job is to be close to my daughter. That desire will not affect or intrude upon whatever is expected of me in this job.
Alexis: I appreciate that, Mr. Cody. I really do. And you should know that I am indeed going to check all of your references within an inch of their life. I know how easy they are to forge.
Cody: I'm not worried.
Alexis: Good. My nephew and his fiancée will probably be really cold when they get back, so maybe you'd like to make a pot of tea for them.
Cody: Does that mean I have the job?
Alexis: It means you're on trial.
Luke: Look, we need to get something straight.
Luke: I like you. I like you a lot. You're beautiful, smart, fun to be with. You're a redhead, which is a real plus in my book. But that's as far as I can go. I'm not in the market for romance. And anything -- anything that smacks of domesticity gives me hives, so when you start decorating for the holidays or kissing me under the mistletoe, it makes me want to run for the nearest exit.
Skye: You are so completely full of yourself.
Luke: Is that a bad thing?
Skye: Are you done? Because I'd like to have a turn.
Skye: Okay. I have no romantic interest in you whatsoever. Okay, I will spare you the reasons why I think you are such a hopelessly bad risk, and I will stick to what I've learned about myself. Love is not my friend, all right? I'm not cut out for it. I'm not soft enough or needy enough. Oh, I'm needy in a way that makes most men weary. The quickest way for me to lose someone is actually to tell them that I care about him. He lies or I do. Somebody gets hurt, and before I can actually get used to having another human being in my bed, he's gone. You have the potential to be a really good pal when you're not acting like a 3-year-old and throwing tantrums, okay? But that is as far as I go. So why don't you do us both a favor -- the next time you get the urge to kiss me, keep your hands to yourself.
Carly: How could I love a man who deliberately tried to destroy my marriage? Who paid a woman to impersonate my husband's dead wife? Look, I am already with the man that I love, and I'm not leaving him. I'm not leaving him for you, and I'm not leaving him for anyone. I want you to go now.
Sonny: You heard her. And do yourself a favor -- don't come back.
Lorenzo: You honestly believe that you've chosen love.
Carly: God, why won't he just leave us alone?
Sonny: Well, you know what I think? I think he's really a sick man.
Carly: So is it all going to come to a head again? I mean, if Alcazar doesn't leave town, if he keeps pressuring me, is he going to end up dead?
Sonny: Why? Would you care if he died?
Brian: So what possessed you to hit Faith Rosco?
Courtney: Are you asking as a friend, or has this become a police interrogation?
Brian: As a cop, I'm advising you to say nothing until your lawyer can get your charges dropped. As your friend, I'm begging you, rethink your life and really mean it this time. You don't belong in Jason's world.
Courtney: You don't know that.
Brian: I do. You're too honest and straightforward. Now, is being with Jason really worth what you're doing to yourself?
Jason: Courtney, don't speak to him. I'm getting you out of here.
Sage: Hey. Where have you been? I've been waiting forever.
Lorenzo: Waiting for what?
Sage: The Christmas tree, remember? You promised we'd get one. And a wreath. This apartment is shameful. Not even a sprig of holly?
Lorenzo: Sage, I'm not up for Christmas shopping, okay?
Sage: Uncle Lorenzo, you promised.
[Knock on door]
Lorenzo: What is it?
Man: Faith Rosco’s here. Again.
Lorenzo: For God's sake. Sage, will you wait in your room, please? I'm in the middle of a family matter, so say what you have to and leave.
Faith: My sources tell me that you just paid a visit to the Corinthos residence. Now that you've been kicked in the teeth by Carly's return to wedded bliss, are you ready to discuss revenge against Sonny?
Carly: Thanks. Well, in a perfect world, yeah, I'd like to see Lorenzo leave town and start a new life someplace else. But our world is not perfect and I know he's your enemy, and I accept that.
Sonny: I am happy and grateful that we're together, you know? But you got to tell me -- do you have any feelings for Alcazar?
Carly: Yeah, I got feelings. I am angry. I am angry for the manipulation and I am angry for the deception. And there's a strange part of me that's sad, too. I'm sad for this man that I know probably could have been a better person if he had just made different choices in his life. But I don't love Lorenzo. I don't feel that for him or anything. And when he says that he loves me, I don't have any desire to go to him or be with him. I wasn't connected to him before the coma, Sonny, and I am not connected to him now. I'm connected to you. Only you. Was that okay to say to you?
Sonny: Yeah, you know what, what you feel is what you feel, you know? I just -- what I want you to say to me is that you hate the man for everything he's done to us, but I guess that's my problem. What kills me is that he succeeded in what he set out to do. He almost did, you know what I mean? He came very close to having you because I let him get to me to the point where I almost killed you.
Brian: Look, I'll talk to A.D.A. Lansing, explain what happened. Now, if he thinks there's a case, I'm going to have to start the process, but I'll see what I can do.
Courtney: Thanks, Brian. Ugh, God.
Jason: We know that Ric is going to take this as far as he can. I mean, what were you thinking? Why were you even fighting with Faith?
Courtney: She threatened me, Jason. I wasn't about to back down. You would have handled it the same way.
Jason: What I would've done doesn't matter. You took an unacceptable risk for no good reason.
Alexis: What are you doing?
Cody: Oh, Miss, I was wondering if I would be expected to polish the furniture. That desk is definitely in need of attention.
Alexis: You know my nephew Nikolas -- his instincts are very good, and I tend to give them a lot of weight. He was suspicious of you five minutes after meeting you. What I'm thinking is, A, he is trying too hard, or, B, he's just blatantly snooping.
Nikolas: Call 911.
Alexis: It's Sam McCall. We found her collapsed on shore.
Nikolas: She must have been in the water too long.
Cody: Is she going to live?
Nikolas: I can barely feel a pulse.
Alexis: I need a Medevac helicopter on Spoon Island.
Nikolas: Sam? Sam, wake up. It's Nikolas.
Emily: It's Emily. Can you hear us?
Nikolas: It's -- it's okay. You're safe.
Sam: Ship. The Courage.
Emily: What about The Courage?
Sam: Down there.
Nikolas: Sam, Sam, stay awake. Stay awake. Talk to us. What ship? What about a ship?
Sam: Uncover --
Nikolas: Sam? Sam?
Alexis: She's in here. Her name is Sam McCall, and we found her on shore.
Nikolas: I wonder what she was trying to say.
Faith: We both want Sonny out of the way. It only makes sense to coordinate our efforts. We can come at him from different directions.
Lorenzo: If nothing more, Sonny is a businessman. You are a destabilizing element. You're reckless and crazy, so from a business standpoint, it makes more sense to remove you.
Faith: When Carly was out of commission, Sonny was weak, Jason was distracted. But things are getting back to normal. They're regrouping. If you don't act now, you are going to wind up dead.
Lorenzo: I gave you my answer. Get out.
Faith: Do you think you're going to gain brownie points with Carly for leaving Sonny alive? Or do you want him to kill you, in hopes that she will shed a few tears at your funeral? She doesn't love you, Lorenzo.
Lorenzo: Get out.
Sonny: Not only did I let Alcazar pull my strings, I gave him a map to every one of them.
Carly: Sonny, we were doubting each other then, and Alcazar saw that as a way to get in. I have no doubt anymore. I love you, and you are everything to me.
Sonny: You know, there was a time that I never thought I'd hear you say those words. So we're -- we're fine?
Carly: We are more than fine.
Sonny: Looks like I got off easy.
Carly: What, you mean being acquitted of murder charges?
Sonny: No, no, no, getting over the legal system is nothing compared to getting over you. I -- I had -- I had a game plan designed to get you back.
Sonny: Yeah. I was willing to do pretty much anything to get you to fall in love with me again.
Carly: Like what?
Sonny: Come on, I'll show you.
Justus: Detective Beck, would you be willing to admit in court that with no provocation whatsoever, Courtney Morgan attacked Faith Rosco?
Brian: No. Courtney threw the first punch, but Faith goaded her into it. She seemed to have an agenda.
Justus: Do you really want to pursue this? Your own detective just admitted that you have no case. Let Courtney go, or I'll make this look like one more chapter in your relentless vendetta against your brother -- my client -- and his family.
Courtney: What's going on?
Brian: That's some lawyer you've got. You're free to go.
Ric: Counselor, I'll release your client after I file an official report.
Ric: No, I don't think so.
Justus: I won't allow this malicious incident to be placed on an innocent woman's record.
Ric: There's a little thing called due process. Perhaps you didn't learn that in law school.
Jason: Can you work this out? I want to take Courtney home.
Justus: Go. Mr. Lansing and I will come to an agreement.
Jason: Where's Courtney?
Brian: Guess she didn't want to wait for you.
Nikolas: How you feeling?
Sam: Much better, thanks.
Emily: You know, maybe you should've let the paramedics take you to the hospital.
Sam: Really, I don't want to waste anyone's time or anything. I just need to get warmed up, and no offense, tea is not going to cut it. Maybe whiskey, if you have any?
Alexis: Where's the butler, anyway?
Nikolas: I don't know. Now that you mention it, I haven't seen him for a while.
Alexis: We don't keep whiskey at the bar. We keep it in the kitchen.
Sam: Look, I really don't want to put anyone out, so don't worry about it.
Alexis: That's what butlers are for.
Jax: Sam? What did you do to yourself?
Sam: It's not as bad as it looks, really.
Jax: Are you feeling okay? Feeling faint at all?
Sam: No, I'm --
Jax: Maybe we should get you to the hospital.
Sam: No, really, I'm fine. Listen, I just -- I'm a little lightheaded, you know. It's the least I deserve for staying under way too long.
Nikolas: You know, when I agreed to let you salvage my freighter, I didn't intend for you to do all the work for yourself, and I certainly didn't mean for you to risk your life.
Sam: Nikolas, I'm a pro. This is what I do. And why are you staring at me?
Emily: I'm sorry. I was just thinking about something you said when you were in and out of consciousness.
Sam: I said something?
Emily: You -- you kept talking about Courage?
Nikolas: Courage, like it had something to do with a ship, maybe?
Sam: A ship? Courage. Um, you know what, I think I know what that's about. I was -- I was under really long, and I knew that I was kind of in trouble because I had a really bad moment down there, and my dad used to have this saying, and he used to say, "Courage is enough," and I just kept saying it over and over in my head, and then I lost consciousness and --
Sam: I was out of it.
Emily: But that doesn't explain the ship.
Sam: I must have been talking about Nikolas' freighter.
Nikolas: Well, I'm very impressed by your survival skills. You seem like a very resourceful woman.
Skye: I'll send someone to pick this stuff up before you lock up.
Luke: Well, there's no rush. You could haul it away tomorrow.
Skye: Oh, no. I want to get this over with as quickly as I can. I should've known better than to actually try and be that chipper holiday person, especially since the last thing I believe in is goodwill toward men.
Luke: Oh, if only you were as hard and cynical as you like to make out, maybe your heart wouldn't get stomped on so much.
Skye: You don't know anything about me.
Luke: Maybe you're right.
Skye: I spent every Christmas of my childhood in some hotel suite, watching movies like "Song of Bernadette" while my mother slept off her drunk in the next room. I grew up with a smile plastered on my face while my cheating husband or faithless lover went to be with the person he actually, really loved. But, hey, I'm not complaining. I guess compared to you, I actually have it pretty lucky. I don't have that perfect Christmas to remember or miss.
Luke: If you leave now, you will miss something. You'll miss the first and hopefully last apology you'll ever get from me.
Carly: Hmm. So -- what do you think, hmm?
Sonny: You look as beautiful as I knew you would.
Carly: Okay, tell me -- how long has this been hanging in my closet?
Sonny: Well, see, what happened was I wanted to surprise you.
Sonny: When you came home from the hospital. But we all know the timing wasn't right, so I just -- just waited.
Carly: Is there more?
Sonny: Oh, you do love surprises.
Carly: Oh, come on! Tell me. Tell me what you had planned.
Sonny: Well, it's like this, see -- you know, after I had you in that dress, I was going to take you to, you know, the club of your choice, go dancing, right?
Sonny: And then we were going to fly to the Bahamas, right, and watch the sunrise, lie on the beach, and hear the surf. Then when we got tired of the sand and the surf, I was going to fly you to Manhattan and buy you the most expensive jewelry of your choice.
Carly: I -- I wish I'd known about this because I would have held out a lot longer.
Sonny: Maybe I have to settle for making you love me more, huh?
Carly: I don't think it's possible.
Sonny: At least we can work on it, right?
Jason: Why didn't you wait for me at the police station? I could've given you a ride home.
Courtney: This isn't my home. It's just a place I'm staying until I figure out what comes next. One of us has to change, Jason. You can't, so that leaves me. I mean, I've been thinking about it at night, alone in this room, and I can be a part of your life. I can help you with your work.
Courtney: No, I'm strong. I know how to fight. You can teach me to use a gun.
Jason: Courtney, stop it.
Courtney: Jason, I could learn to want the danger. I could learn to need it more than a home or a family. I mean, we have nothing to lose. I'm not going to be getting pregnant, so we wouldn't be risking our child. And just sometimes, when the shooting stops and we don't have to work, and maybe just sometimes we could be together and I --
Jason: Stop it, please. I don't want you to hurt like this. And I do not want you to change.
Courtney: Then what do I do? How do I make it so that we can be together?
Jason: You can’t.
Jax: Sam, there is no need to haul up anything else tonight. It'll still be there tomorrow.
Sam: I'm not sure. Part of me wants to just go down there and get it right away. But I don't know, I keep thinking doing a dive right now could draw some unwanted attention.
Jax: Will you listen to yourself? You almost died. Okay, all you can think about is the damn treasure. It's very greedy of you.
Sam: No, I am not greedy. I am possessive because this is my find. After a lifetime of near misses, I finally hit something big. I don't want anyone to take that away from me, especially my father.
Jax: You know, if I were you, I'd be more worried about Nikolas and Emily because they seemed quite curious what you were saying when you were out of it. I think they picked up on The Courage.
Sam: No, I covered that with the story of my dear old dad's favorite saying. I don't think they suspect a thing.
Nikolas: All right, spill it. You look like you're about to burst.
Emily: Okay. Sam's explanation doesn't track.
Nikolas: I know.
Emily: When she was half-conscious, she didn't seem to be equating courage with virtue.
Nikolas: I agree. It sounded like she meant a ship named Courage, right?
Emily: Yeah, and that's what's so weird, Nikolas. Hundreds of years ago, the Quartermaines owned a ship called The Courage, and it disappeared and was presumed lost. Family legend says The Courage was carrying priceless treasure.
Luke: I'm not a warm man. I don't do fuzzy. I hate clichéd traditions and false cheer and the rabid commercialism of Christmas, but none of that gives me the right to rain on your parade. I'm sorry. I apologize for lashing out like that.
Skye: Apology accepted. But I'd like to know why you did. I -- I'd like to understand.
Luke: It's my wife.
Luke: Laura -- she -- she loved this silly season. Her face would light up with enough joy to fill the night sky. And now she sits in a tiny room. No tree, no angel star. She doesn't even know it's Christmas or her birthday day after tomorrow. But I know. I know.
Jason: You know the night you told me about Faith's shipment? You asked me to go away with you. You said that was our last chance.
Courtney: I thought that it was. Maybe I was just trying to get through to you.
Jason: Is that why you took your wedding ring off?
Courtney: I was waiting to see if you'd notice, if you'd say anything, but that's not how you are.
Jason: I noticed. I was just wondering if you were waiting for me to take mine --
Jason: You know, I meant the promises that we made on our wedding day. And I know that you meant them, too. I guess we weren't taking the same vows, so there's no way for us to keep them.
Courtney: You want a divorce?
Jason: No. No, I don't, but what's the point of staying married if we can't live together, if we can't make each other happy? You know, when we used to meet at the loft and I'd come to the door, you would run to me with the biggest smile on your face. You just don't smile that way anymore. And I think it's because at the loft there was the hope of the life that we could have together, and now I've taken that hope away from you.
Courtney: No. No, I'm -- I'm the one who swore that I could handle it. I asked you to put your heart on the line, and now I'm backing out.
Jason: I'll call Justus and have him file the papers.
Courtney: I'm not ready to think about papers yet.
Jason: Okay, you know, just call whenever you want. I'll make sure that you have enough money.
Courtney: You know what's funny? My mom has drilled it into me since before I could walk that I should marry a man with money, and I did. You could've given me anything I wanted -- cars, jewelry. But in the end, I didn't want anything except for us to last. At least the divorce won't be a fight because I always hated fighting with you.
Jason: There's nothing to fight about because I love you. It was an honor to be married to you, even for a little while.
Sage: This would be so much cooler if we went to pick out a Christmas tree together instead of you sending me with a couple of dopey guards.
Lorenzo: This way you can surprise me.
Sage: You know what your problem is?
Lorenzo: I'm sure you're going to tell me.
Sage: You've spent too much of your life alone. You don't remember what it's like to spend the holidays with someone you love. So I guess that's my job. I'm going to bring back the best tree in all of Port Charles.
Sonny: You know, there was a moment after baby Morgan was born. I put him beside you. You were still unconscious and I thought that it was too late, that I had lost everything, you know? And that I wouldn't be here with you ever again, dancing and just holding you close.
Carly: You brought me back.
Michael: Ugh, are you guys kissing again?
Sonny: Well, actually, we were trying, but --
Michael: Why are you guys all dressed up?
Carly: Because we're dancing, and it's one of my favorite things.
Michael: Double yuck.
Carly: Double yuck? Oh, do you know that you just said the wrong thing? You know why?
Carly: Because both of my sons are going to know how to dance. And I think --
Michael: Do I have to?
Sonny: Do what your mom tells you to do.
Carly: Yes, you do. And you're going to learn right now, so come here. Come here, come here. Give me your hand. Now put the other one on my waist. Okay? Now just follow me. Yeah? That's good. Try not to look down, okay? See?
Carly: Oh, you're pretty good there. I think you're a natural. Oh, yeah, you're good, too. Yes.
Singers: Sleep in heavenly peace
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Sage: My uncle already thinks you're dirt.
Faith: Ooh, she's vicious.
Jason: I will be a good godfather whether I'm at that ceremony or not.
Carly: You have to be at the ceremony.
Elizabeth: There's something you need to know.
Max: Mr. Corinthos sent me. He's got a message for you.
