Nikolas: Do you want me to stop?

Emily: No.

Zander: Look, Lydia, Nikolas lived in that house. He knows how the power works.

Lydia: This may be a wild idea, but I'll bet a neighbor or a friend could manage to find the fuse box. Or wilder yet, Emily could have called you.

Zander: I left my cell phone at home.

Lydia: Do you ever stop making excuses for her?

Zander: Ok, look, Lydia, I get why you're insecure about your husband. He married you for money, but my wife married me for love.

Lydia: Wake up, newlywed. Our spouses are in love. If you don't keep the power going in your house in every sense of the word, Emily will be gone and you'll be left out in the cold just like I am.

Zander: You want Emily to ignore me the way that Nikolas ignores you, misery loves company, and you hate being the only one who's hurt and rejected.

Lydia: So Nikolas and Emily are in love in your cozy little love nest on a dark, stormy night, but that's not a problem because Emily loves you.

Bobbie: Good night, Maxie.

Maxie: Oh, hey, I don't think you're supposed to leave yet.

Bobbie: That's usually what I do when my shift is over.

Maxie: Well, it says on the revised schedule that you're due in the O.R.

Bobbie: Really?

Maxie: Dr. Julian's performing surgery.

Bobbie: We don't have a Dr. Julian on staff.

Maxie: Well, I heard someone say that he was some major surgeon -- there he is right there.

Bobbie: Oh, thank you.

Maxie: Yeah.

Bobbie: Dr. Julian, hi. I'm Bobbie Spencer, and I just heard I'm assisting you in O.R. Three.

Julian: Get changed, and I'll see you there.

Lorenzo: If this isn't perfectly executed --

Julian: It will be. Trust me. Your project's in the hands of a master.

Scott: Get out, I'm busy.

Ric: Too bad. I know who ran Elizabeth down with her car and then left her in the street to die.

Scott: Her? Faith has an alibi.

Ric: No, faith didn't do it. Courtney Matthews did.

Sonny: The cops are going to use this to go after Courtney.

Carly: I can't believe they even found the car so fast. I mean, I can't believe that they found it at all.

Sonny: Well, there was an eyewitness you didn't know about or this is Alcazar's way of setting it up.

Carly: So what if they do forensics on the car and they figure out that it's the one that hit Elizabeth?

Sonny: Courtney's car was stolen. There's no way to prove who was driving it.

Carly: God, I just should have come to you. I should have come to you as soon as I got the car.

Sonny: Yeah, you should have.

Jason: So I told Courtney that Alcazar says she hit Elizabeth, and I think it's still a setup.

Courtney: It's not.

Jason: What?

Sonny: Do you remember hitting Elizabeth?

Carly: Sonny --

Courtney: No.

Sonny: Then you don't know what happened.

Jason: We need to figure out what to do next.

Sonny: Well, there's complications now. The cops found the car, so the car is on the way to a forensics lab.

Courtney: I know what they're going to find -- that I was driving it and I hit Elizabeth.

Emily: I'm sorry.

Nikolas: I know. I'm sorry, too.

Emily: Oh, I want you, Nikolas.

Nikolas: I want you, too.

Emily: I've never wanted anyone in my entire life, but I'm married to Zander.

Nikolas: I know. I know. I didn't come here with ulterior motives. You know that, right?

Emily: I know. I know you didn't. I don't know. Maybe it was wrong of me to call.

Nikolas: No, no, no, I wanted to help, but I guess I should have just left it at that.

Emily: If the lights hadn't come back on --

Nikolas: Well, maybe a sign from God?

Emily: I don't know. Maybe just a lucky break.

Nikolas: Depends on who you ask. You're so beautiful.

Emily: I'm a liar, because I've been lying to myself that I could keep my feelings for you in a special place in my heart and never make them real.

Nikolas: Yeah, I know. Maybe it's impossible to love someone and keep it locked away. I mean -- I mean, I look at you, and all my best intentions -- they just disappear. And nothing else in the world seems to matter to me but loving you.

Emily: I feel the same way. There's only one solution.

Nikolas: What's that?

Emily: We can never be alone again with no one to pull us back from the edge. We have to make sure someone else is always around.

Nikolas: Ok.

Zander: Thank you, Penny. Look, Lydia, if you're going to get paranoid like this every time Emily and Nikolas are together, then you're going to wind up in a padded cell.

Lydia: So Nikolas is welcome in your home anytime?

Zander: I didn't say that.

Lydia: What? He can only come over when Emily needs a little handy work done?

Zander: Ok, Lydia, I get why you're like this. You're in a marriage with a guy that doesn't even like you. I mean, that's got to wreak havoc on your ego.

Lydia: At least I'm willing to face the facts instead of hiding in some romantic fantasy. Emily is in love with Nikolas. She has been for months. It's the reason that you broke up with her.

Zander: That's in the past.

Lydia: You think Emily's feelings for Nikolas have just evaporated into thin air?

Zander: Emily never would have married me if she was in love with Nikolas.

Lydia: So that's why Nikolas is with her right now and you aren't?

Zander: Ok, Lydia, I wouldn't put it past Nikolas to try and make a move on my wife, but if he does, Emily's going to turn him down.

Lydia: Hmm. Pure, faithful Emily.

Zander: Emily loves me. She'd never cheat on me.

Lydia: Keep telling yourself that if it makes you happy, right up until the moment you walk in on your wife with Nikolas in bed.

Scott: So let me get this straight. Sonny's little sister ran down Elizabeth.

Ric: That's right.

Scott: What if she has an alibi?

Ric: She doesn't.

Scott: Well, humor me. If she does, then we've just moved down the list to Sonny, huh?

Ric: Ok, you know what? You're not hearing me, Scott.

Scott: And then down to Jason. What about Carly? Everybody knows what a lousy driver she is. Oh, you know what? We'll pin it on the little tyke, Michael -- hell on wheels!

Ric: You know what? Let me know when you're finished, ok?

Scott: I'm finished and I'm done with you. Now get out of here. You're just trying to get back at your brother.

Ric: No, this has nothing to do with Sonny.

Scott: Well, it should because I don't particularly like him. However, there's a thing called evidence judges and juries -- they tend to get hung up on.

Ric: Scott, I'm a lawyer. I wouldn't have come to you if I didn't have hard evidence against Courtney.

Scott: Really? Well, then, show me something.

Ric: Look, Courtney and Elizabeth have never been friends. All of a sudden, Courtney shows up tonight at the hospital to visit Elizabeth?

Scott: They work together. You know, a little shop gossip.

Ric: She was asking her about the accident.

Scott: Chit-chatting over tea and muffins.

Ric: Elizabeth can describe the car that hit her.

Scott: Since when?

Ric: Since about a couple of hours ago when she miraculously had this vision of the car approaching her at the moment of the accident.

Scott: Then why didn't she come to me?

Ric: Because Courtney does not want her to! Am I getting through to you yet?

Carly: Ok, we need to think and not just react in the moment. I just did that. Please don't make the same mistake.

Courtney: But I hit her.

Carly: Ok, like Sonny said, you can't remember, so you don't know for sure.

Courtney: Yeah, Carly, I don't remember because I took too many pills.

Sonny: You're ashamed you took the pills. Doesn't mean you hit Elizabeth.

Carly: That's right. I mean, don't let your guilt over one thing spill into something else and take the blame for something you didn't do.

Courtney: Carly, Alcazar saw me.

Sonny: Forget Alcazar. He tried to kidnap Carly, it didn't work out, so now he wants to be your friend, act like a hero, plan her gratitude? Well, heroes like to save people. Carly's not available, so you're the next best thing.

Courtney: Lorenzo Alcazar treats me like dirt.

Sonny: No, I'll tell you what's happening, ok? He's using you as leverage. He sees you in a park, right? You're upset, you're on pills. He knows Elizabeth Webber got run down. He knows you're out of town. He steals your car, smashes the front end, and convinces Carly that you're in trouble.

Courtney: You know I did it. You all know I did it. That's why you're trying so hard to explain it away.

Jason: Courtney, we're looking for a way out here. For some reason, you don't want to find it.

Emily: Oh, this can't happen.

Nikolas: It already is. You want me to stop?

Emily: No. Oh, I love you. I always have. Make love to me.

[Glass shatters]

Zach: I know you, don't I?

Cindy: No, you don't.

Zach: You're into rock stars, right? I guess Eddie Maine was more than you could handle.

Cindy: Hey, why don't you leave me alone, all right?

Zach: If you're into bands, wait till you hear mine. We've got great music. All we need are some groupies.

Zander: She asked you to leave her alone.

Zach: What? So you can hit on her yourself?

Zander: She's not interested. Why prolong the agony?

Zach: You're missing some awesome tunes.

Zander: This is your last chance. You could be making a big mistake.

Cindy: I don't see how.

Zander: He could become a big star.

Cindy: What? Like in that Avril Lavigne song? She blows him off in high school?

Zander: Five years later, she's still kicking herself.

Cindy: I think it's going to take a lot more than five years and some groupies to make that kid a star.

Zander: Ouch. Hey, I'll tell you what, if you're in some real trouble, give me a call. My name's Zander.

Cindy: Sure.

Zander: You have any paper? I have a pen.

Cindy: No.

Zander: I'll just use a napkin. This is my cell phone.

Faith: You know, I'm not a really big fan of cryptic phone messages demanding my presence.

Lorenzo: You're in no position to refuse.

Faith: What do you want?

Lorenzo: All kinds of things. Your participation isn't pivotal, but you could be useful.

Faith: Oh, and what's my incentive?

Lorenzo: We share a common enemy -- Sonny Corinthos. I know how to wreck him.

Scott: You're not giving me much to go on here.

Ric: Look, I saw -- I saw Courtney in the park moments before the accident. She was looking for Jason.

Scott: She told you that?

Ric: I had seen Jason a little bit earlier, and she was very upset that --

Scott: What was she upset about, Ric?

Ric: Well, she -- I'm sure she realized that Jason and Elizabeth were probably going to be meeting together somewhere.

Scott: You know what I'm having trouble with? Courtney doesn't really like you, so I'm trying to figure out why she would share intimate details about her relationship with Jason with you.

Ric: Well, it's true.

Scott: Oh, well, if it's true, then help me out here. Why are Jason and Elizabeth together?

Ric: Look, Jason and Elizabeth used to be involved before he met Courtney, all right? Elizabeth was devastated when Jason just left her. And after the two -- after the two of us separated, she became vulnerable to Jason again, and I just wanted to warn her that Jason was no good for her, that she should stay away from him.

Scott: Well, now, isn't that the pot calling --

Ric: Look, Scott, I'm trying to report a crime here. You either want to investigate or you want to work on your comedy act.

Scott: Ah, shut up and go on.

Ric: All right, look, Carly warned Elizabeth to stay away from Jason, and Elizabeth was very defiant. She said she would see Jason whenever or wherever she wanted.

Scott: And she knew about this?

Ric: Well, Courtney was probably harboring suspicions for it.

Scott: Maybe because you kind of told her --

Ric: Yeah, ok, fine, right, yes, I told her, I told her. I wanted to warn her about what Jason might be up to.

Scott: That's awfully swell of you.

Mac: We've got an I.D. On the owner of the car that was dredged from the lake tonight.

Scott: Let me guess, Mac -- it belongs to Sonny's sister, Courtney.

Courtney: I'm so sorry about all this.

Carly: No, I mean, you're putting yourself through hell for something you didn't do. Sonny is right. Alcazar, he engineered this whole thing just to get to me.

Courtney: Why are you convinced that this is a setup? Carly, what did Alcazar do?

Carly: He sent me a picture of your car with the front end all smashed in, so I went and I met with him. He gave me the keys, he told me where your car is, and I tried to get rid of it.

Courtney: Because you think that I did it.

Carly: No, because I didn't stop to think. Look, I was just so worried about protecting you that I didn't think of Alcazar's true motives.

Courtney: Ok, look, I believe that Lorenzo Alcazar will cover for me to impress you, but that doesn't change what I did.

Jason: Just let me get her out of the country until we find a way to handle this.

Sonny: You think she did it?

Jason: I don't know. But when she was taking those pills, she was pretty out of control.

Sonny: Ok, I'll tell you what I think. I think Alcazar or one of, you know, one of his men saw Courtney run down Elizabeth and Alcazar's using it to his advantage.

Jason: Even if the forensics proves that Courtney did it, we can make these charges go away, right?

Sonny: Look, as long as Courtney keeps her mouth shut. She feels guilty. She wants this over. You know what I mean?

Jason: I know, but it is possible that Alcazar stole the car. He had someone run Elizabeth down. Courtney could be innocent.

Sonny: You keep believing it. Keep telling yourself that. Keep believing that, all right?

[Pounding on door]

Scott: Open up, Corinthos. We have a warrant for your sister's arrest.

Scott: Open the door, Corinthos, or Mac's going to kick it in.

Sonny: What's the problem?

Scott: Where's your sister?

Sonny: She's not here.

Scott: Yeah?

Carly: Sonny, why are they here? Why didn't Max throw them out?

Mac: Well, he tried. You see, now he's in handcuffs, leading a cop on a tour of Jason's empty apartment. Any idea of where Jason and Courtney might be?

Sonny: No, and if I did, I wouldn't tell you.

Scott: Where's the model citizen who ratted out his own brother?

Sonny: So you think you have the right to just go over to Jason's apartment and just, you know, go in there anytime you want?

Mac: A warrant's been issued for Courtney Matthew's arrest for attempted vehicular homicide.

Carly: Why would Courtney want to kill Elizabeth?

Scott: Hell hath no fury like a woman about to be dumped for the ex-girlfriend.

Lorenzo: You have very little to lose and quite a lot to gain.

Faith: Well, I will give you this -- it is brilliant and over the top and bizarre in a beautiful way.

Lorenzo: I'm glad you approve.

Faith: That is admiration, not approval. See, I can't help but notice one very small problem.

Lorenzo: What's that?

Faith: It's not going to work. Count me out.

Lorenzo: You have two options, Mrs. Rosco -- either you're useful to me or you're an obstacle that needs to be removed. So which is it going to be?

Faith: Fine. I'm all yours, Lorenzo, for as long as you want me.

Jason: Courtney, there's still no proof that you hit Elizabeth. The only evidence we have is your car, not you.

Courtney: No, Jason, I was high on pain pills, ok? I came home and I basically passed out. I barely even remember parking the car. I was --

Jason: I was there when you woke up. You were fine. There was no confusion. There was no hangover.

Courtney: Yeah, because I'd slept off the drugs. Ok, you know what? Maybe I hid it from myself. Maybe the drugs just erased the memory, I don't know, but I need to know one way or another. I can't live with myself until I find out.

Zander: You sure you don't want me to give you a ride home?

Cindy: No, thanks. I'll be all right. I live pretty close by.

Zander: All right. Well, I meant what I said. Use that number if you need to.

Cindy: I will.

Zander: Take care of yourself.

Cindy: And maybe I'll give you a call sometime, even if I'm not in distress.

Zander: It's fine by me.

Zander: So I spoke to Lydia.

Nikolas: Mm-hmm.

Zander: She said you were over at my house.

Nikolas: So you're with some girl at Kelly's while your wife is at home alone in the middle of a thunderstorm?

Zander: I don't owe you an explanation.

Nikolas: And what would she think about you giving your phone number out?

Zander: You have no idea what's going on.

Nikolas: Hmm?

Zander: You have no idea what's going on.

Nikolas: Oh, you don't care about your wife's feelings?

Zander: Why are you so concerned about my wife? Except for the fact that when she called you, you ran right over to my house.

Nikolas: I went over to fix the power, Zander. I had no other intention except to do that.

Zander: Of course you did. So go for it. Go for it. But it doesn't matter. My wife's not going to go for you because we are married. She's over you.

Nikolas: You're right. She is.

Zander: But you got poor Lydia, your wife, looking at a lonely future while you pine away for another woman, but it doesn't matter because Emily is my wife. And not you or anybody else is going to come between us.

Nikolas: Well, you better -- better keep her happy, because if you hurt her, I'll wreck you. You keep in mind the one thing Cassadines know is revenge.

Emily's voice: "Suddenly, my arms were around Nikolas, and I was kissing him, and I couldn't stop. My love for him completely, completely overwhelmed me. If the lights hadn't come back on, we would have made love. Oh, my God. How did I let that happen? Secrets and lies destroy a marriage. But how can I tell Zander the truth? It would break his heart."

Lydia: How's everything at the cottage? Did you get the lights back on?

Nikolas: I heard you ran into Zander.

Lydia: I had to find some way to fill the time. You were gone what, two hours at least? That's 10 minutes to check the fuse box. What was next? Securing the shutters, fixing the boiler, draining the gutters? Who knew that a Cassadine heir could be so handy around the house.

Nikolas: Meanwhile, you spent your time making Zander paranoid.

Lydia: Zander refuses to see what's right in front of him. I'm a little less naive. Just how close did you and Emily get tonight?

Zander: I'm sorry I took so long. Oh, my gosh, I can't believe you did all this and I took so long. I'm so sorry.

Emily: It's all right. Why'd you have to leave in such a hurry?

Zander: It was Alexis.

Emily: Oh.

Zander: These charges against Ned -- it's just this whole custody thing, it's really messing with her, so she just needed to vent.

Emily: Well, Zander, a lot has happened since you've been gone.

Zander: Yeah, I know. I talked to Lydia.

Emily: She told you I called Nikolas?

Zander: Mm-hmm, and that he came over here.

Emily: Zander, the storm knocked out the power. I tried to call you on your cell, but you left it at home, and it was so dark, and I was getting scared, so I -- I called Nikolas and he came over here to fix the lights, and I never would have called him if I'd been able to reach you.

Zander: Emily, hey, you don't need to explain, ok?

Emily: I just needed help, Zander.

Zander: Emily, I trust you. I know that Nikolas is in love with you, but I trust you completely. You can do whatever you want. I mean that.

Emily: Oh. You know, sometimes, I feel like I don't deserve you.

Zander: Hmm. Right back at you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Emily: Hey, you know what? Come on, come on over here and make yourself comfortable.

Zander: Oh, look at this. You're so sweet.

Emily: Have a seat. And I'm going to have dinner for you ready, ok?

Zander: All right.

Emily: I'll be right back.

Jason: All right, let's just think about it, ok? What if Alcazar is using this accident as a way to get to Carly? He stole the car and he paid somebody to hit Elizabeth.

Courtney: What about the dream?

Jason: We know about the dream. You were hit by a car, too. We never found out who did it for sure. Dreams are confusing. I have no idea what it means.

Courtney: Yeah, but I need to know one way or another.

Jason: All right, we'll figure out what happened so you can let this go.

Courtney: Thanks.

Jason: Now, I want you to go to the island. You're going to be safe, ok? Sonny and I are going to figure out what happened.

Courtney: And what if you find out that I did it?

Jason: If. If you did, we'll handle it. Don't worry, it's going to be all right, ok?

Courtney: Ok.

Jason: It's all right. I'm going to be back. I'll take you to the airport, ok?

Courtney: Ok.

Scott: I've got a sworn affidavit from your loving brother, Ric.

Sonny: Oh, a sworn affidavit --

Scott: Uh-huh.

Sonny: From a pathological liar. That's going to go big in court. What do you think?

Scott: He swears that he saw Courtney in the park the night Elizabeth was mowed down and that she was out of her mind with jealousy because she thought that Jason was stepping out with Elizabeth.

Sonny: Oh. Ric Lansing kidnapped my pregnant wife, held her hostage for months, plotted to kill her and take my child. He will say anything -- he will say anything to hurt my family.

Carly: You know, why don't you go to his house and check out that prison he kept me in again. You know, the jury might be interested in the witness' history of psychotic behavior. Oh, oh, I see, but then again, that would make you look like a complete incompetent for believing Ric in the first place.

Mac: The search of Morgan's apartment came up empty. No clues as to where Jason and Courtney might be. Your overeager bodyguard is back at his post.

Scott: So I'm going to ask you one more time -- where's your sister?

Sonny: I have no idea.

Scott: Ok, put an APB. out on her.

Sonny: Ok, do me a favor. Don't slam the door when you leave because --

Carly: This is exactly why I wanted to stop this disaster before it started.

Lydia: When I offered you an open marriage -- all the lovers you could possibly want -- you refused.

Nikolas: Emily's not my lover.

Lydia: Just the love of your life.

Nikolas: Lydia, how many times do I have to say this? We went into this arrangement and we knew perfectly well it was a marriage of convenience.

Lydia: Which is why I was surprised when you insisted on fidelity. You said no affairs for either of us. It was a deal-breaker, in fact, you were so sure.

Nikolas: I told you, I'm not having an affair with Emily.

Lydia: What you're doing is almost the same. You've convinced yourself that Emily is the only woman that you'll ever love, while I stand on the sidelines without a chance of ever winning the affection of my own husband. I know that you think that I am shallow and calculating. But I have feelings. I had hoped that we would find our way to companionship, trust, that maybe we'd even love each other. But there is no chance of that. I'm clear on that now. Poor Zander hasn't figured that out yet. He's still insulated in his little bubble of denial. But when he does figure it out, he's going to be devastated.

Nikolas: Emily's not leaving Zander, Lydia.

Lydia: And you're not leaving me. That's right, Nikolas. I am going to fight for this marriage even if I am the only one who's fighting.

Zander: Maybe we should get rid of this cottage. Maybe it was a mistake.

Emily: No, I love it here, Zander. It's beautiful.

Zander: I don't know, it's just so far from everything. If there was an emergency, you know, it would be tough for people to get here.

Emily: No, I love being out in the woods. You know, we have our privacy and just me and you in a world of our own.

Zander: That part I like.

Emily: Then let's stay here. All I care about is being with you. I love you so much.

Zander: I love you, too.

Lorenzo: Welcome back. It went perfectly. I have something to show you that should make you very happy. This savings account just received a deposit of $150,000. Now, in the coming days, there will be more deposits. You'll never have to earn a living again, Marcella. I promise to make your wildest dreams come true, and in return, you'll make my fondest wish come true.

Sonny: You look tired. Why don't you go to bed?

Carly: Are you coming?

Sonny: I'll be up there in a little while. I'll just -- I got to think about some things, you know.

Carly: Ok, well, I'll wait.

Sonny: Well, you almost died tonight. Come on, you know, you need some rest.

Carly: But I want you to come with me. But if you do, then I'd just feel you lying next to me, still angry at me, you know, and I know you're just going to fall asleep on the couch or stare out at the window, doing everything you can to get as far away from me as you can while you're still in the same house. It's a lonely feeling, Sonny.

Sonny: Why do you put it between us? I mean, you know, you know when you lie, I can't get past it.

Carly: Did you see your sister's face? Your little sister, who just lost her baby, who may not be able to carry another one because she was trying to save me. She hates herself right now, Sonny. I knew she would, just like I knew that you would go to Jason and he would go to her and tell her. I had one chance to do something, so I tried.

Sonny: I love my little sister, but I need to be able to trust my own wife.

Carly: Right. You know, Sonny, I'm sorry. I am sorry. I just -- I don't know, I've been kidnapped, I was chained to a wall, I almost lost our baby, and I -- I don't know, I'm a little stressed out, and I messed up. I just know I don't want this distance between us.

Sonny: Wait, wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Come on. Come here.

Jason: Courtney? Courtney!

Scott: What have you got, Capelli?

Andy: It's the analysis of the DNA found in Courtney Matthew's car.

Scott: Well, it's about time. What do those forensics people do with their time?

Courtney: Mr. Baldwin.

Scott: I was just going to come looking for you.

Courtney: I think that I'm the one who hit Elizabeth Webber.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Stefan: You said you would do anything to get your daughter back.

Officer: Judge farmer wants to see you at the PCPD.

Dillon: Maybe we just should stop seeing each other so much.

Mac: Courtney confessed to a hit-and-run.

Jason: She didn't do it.

Sonny: You didn't see who was driving, did you?

Elizabeth: This is about Courtney, isn't it?

Lorenzo: I have no idea how the police found her car.

Carly: I don't believe you.
