General Hospital Transcript Thursday 9/11/03

Nikolas: You nervous?
Nikolas: You're fidgeting.
Lydia: Am I? My grandmother would be appalled.
Nikolas: Relax, it's just a checkup.
Lydia: Our entire marriage is riding on the results of these tests. What if I can't have children?
Nikolas: Do you have any reason to believe that's the case?
Lydia: No. But disappointments aren't exactly new to me. And my grandfather's will is very specific. If we don't have an heir, we don't get the inheritance. Maybe that's what you're hoping for. If I can't have a baby, then you're off the hook with me.
Nikolas: You'd be free of me, as well.
Lydia: I don't know what I want anymore. Half the time, I can't stand you, including your family -- your demented uncle, your arrogant, opinionated half brother. And then suddenly, you let down your defenses for five minutes --
Nikolas: I'm sorry. Emily, wow.
Nikolas: You look -- you look --
Lydia: But what are you doing out of bed?
Emily: Actually, I'm --
Bobbie: Lydia, the doctor will see you now.
Lydia: You'll wait here?
Nikolas: Yeah, right here.
Emily: Is everything ok?
Nikolas: Yeah, yeah, it's -- it's just a checkup. So are you feeling better?
Emily: Yeah. I'm going home, Nikolas.
Nikolas: Yeah? Oh, I knew you could do it.
Zander: Hey, what's up? Thanks for meeting me.
Ned: Sure. Well, now that we're officially cousins, I can't very well turn you down, can I?
Zander: Well, I was hoping you'd feel that way.
Ned: So is this about coming back to E.L.Q.?
Zander: No, it's -- it's about money. I need a loan -- pretty fast.
A.J.: Welcome home, Sis.
Skye: Oh. Hey, you know, you're going to have to stop calling me that.
A.J.: Oh, stop. Nothing's changed between us since we found out we're technically not family. Of course, the same can't be said for you and Ned.
Skye: Could we just concentrate on the heartfelt reunion here and save the needling for another time?
A.J.: You are looking for him?
Skye: Well, I wasn't due home till tomorrow, but I thought I'd surprise him.
A.J.: Yeah, well, brace yourself. Because while you were away, Ned sprung a few surprises of his own.
Dillon: This looks good. Come on.
Georgie: Ok. So occasionally, you've been a bit bizarre.
Dillon: I prefer quirky.
Georgie: But making me duck down in the back of a greasy truck?
Dillon: What? You're a natural.
Georgie: Look, if we're running from my dad, this is not going to happen. Do you remember the last time?
Dillon: The last time, your dad was able to track us because he could track Kyle's bike. We're not leaving a trace today.
Georgie: So what are we supposed to do? Just stay here until, you know, school starts? Yeah, that'll go over great with Mac.
Dillon: Georgie, would you just shut up a second?
Georgie: I cannot believe you just told me to shut up! I'm not some rag doll for you just to throw around and tell me what to do. You --
Dillon: What was that? What are you doing? You're supposed to, you know, like, fight it for maybe a second, and then go all weak and --
Georgie: I'm not some actress in a movie, Dillon. This is real and I am mad.
Dillon: I'm getting that now.
Georgie: Then tell me what we're doing here.
Dillon: What we're doing here is saving your life. Ok? The reason that I agreed to Faith's alibi -- to act like her little -- her little boy toy was to protect you.
Georgie: Faith threatened me?
Dillon: Yes. She said if I didn't go along with her, she'd kill you. So now, do you understand why I don't care what your dad thinks about any of this?
Georgie: But Faith's in jail.
Dillon: It doesn't matter at all. She's got thugs all over the place.
Georgie: I have to call my dad.
Dillon: No. No, no. No. That is what got us into this mess in the first place.
Carly: Ok, honey, I need you to think. I need you to try and remember. The man who called me -- was his name Lorenzo, maybe?
Michael: I don't remember. I was waiting on Frank to call about the movie, so I forgot.
Carly: Ok. Well, maybe you can remember it now.
Michael: Call Daddy. He listened to the message. Maybe he's with the man now.
Carly: Yeah, Michael, I think he is, and that's -- that's why I need to find him.
Lorenzo: You make a habit of checking your wife's voicemail?
Sonny: Why do you call her?
Lorenzo: I'll explain to Carly.
Sonny: You wanted her to come alone?
Lorenzo: Yeah, and you're here instead.
Sonny: I mean, look, you keep sending her flowers, gifts. You keep showing up the same place she is. It's got to stop, Alcazar.
Lorenzo: My relationship with Carly is between us.
Sonny: You have no relationship with Carly. You used her as a bargaining chip, I got her back. End of transaction.
Lorenzo: Well, this is more than a business negotiation.
Sonny: For you, maybe.
Lorenzo: For Carly, as well. I'm in a position to get what I want, and you are powerless to stop me.
Sonny: You think so?
Georgie: I can't believe you did all this. Stood up to Faith, lied to the cops, and rushed me out of town.
Dillon: Well, you alive is pretty high up on my list of priorities. What can I say? I'd die before I'd let anything happen to you.
Georgie: But if I had not run straight to Mac and told him you were covering for Faith, we wouldn't even be here. You'd be at home with the Quartermaines -- if you didn't have me to worry about.
Dillon: Hey, if I didn't have you, I'd be completely and totally alone. If I didn't have you, I wouldn't have had that -- that great night in the motel room where we -- where we stayed up and talked about books and -- and movies and life and it was amazing. I wouldn't have had that -- that kiss at your house that just -- I wouldn't have had anybody to think about while the fireworks were going off on the Fourth of July. Being with you, Georgie is -- is so much better than being anywhere else in the world, even if it's in this barn, just because I'm with you. You know? I love you. Cue the music, sweep the camera full out. I love you.
Nikolas: Oh, I'm so happy for you, Em.
Emily: Yeah. I mean, you know, it's a turn for the better, but I still have to -- I still have to find a new treatment for the cancer.
Nikolas: Yeah, you will.
Nikolas: You will.
Emily: I know. And I'm going to live, Nikolas. I have to.
Nikolas: Could you sit with me for a minute? I told Lydia I'd wait for her.
Emily: Which -- which doctor is she seeing? I feel like I know them all by now.
Nikolas: Well, Dr. Meadows suggested that, you know, that she get checked out before -- before we, you know --
Emily: Before she tries to get pregnant.
Emily: You're going to be a wonderful father.
Nikolas: I don't know. I don't exactly come from a stable home environment.
Emily: Hey, well, you know what? That's what makes you so amazing. You're this -- you're this wonderful all on your own. Nobody had to teach you how to follow your heart.
Nikolas: Are you sure that you're not being biased?
Emily: Completely. And I don't apologize for it. You deserve to be happy, to have all of your dreams come true.
Nikolas: You're getting well, Em. Just like I always said, you're going to live a long, happy life. That's all I ever wanted. It means everything to me.
Emily: Nobody gets everything, Nikolas.
A.J.: All right, so there we all are -- me, Alice, Cindy, the underage groupie -- all camped out in Ned's room. Oh, you should have heard this little groupie go on and on about the glories of Ned's alter ego.
Skye: Yeah, well, you know, things aren't always what they seem, A.J. Who knows that better than us, right?
A.J.: Yeah, take it easy. I think Ned's innocent. Why do you think I escorted her home and paid her to disappear?
Skye: How noble.
A.J.: I'm a noble kind of guy.
Skye: Oh, bull. You're using this fantasy-filled teenager as leverage against Ned. The question is, are you also setting him up?
Sonny: The way I see it, you're living on borrowed time.
Lorenzo: Unfortunately, neither one of us is in a position to eliminate the other. Carly would never forgive it.
Sonny: You held my wife hostage, you risked the life of our child. Carly doesn't give a damn if you're buried in the ground.
Lorenzo: The truth is you're not good enough for Carly. She needs to know she has other options.
Sonny: Oh, so you think you're going to take my wife?
Lorenzo: See, you make it sound like I'm threatening to steal your car, take your watch. Carly's not your possession, she's married to you. Marriages end all the time for all kinds of reasons.
Sonny: My marriage won't.
Lorenzo: Carly's intelligent, perceptive. She'll see you for what you are -- a time bomb waiting to explode, a man who will bring both her and her children down.
Sonny: Do you really think Carly gives a damn about you?
Lorenzo: I know it.
Carly: Sonny --
Sonny: You ok?
Carly: Yeah. Michael told me about the message.
Lorenzo: Hello, Carly.
Carly: You need to stop harassing my family.
Sonny: No, hey, hey, hey, hey -- it's not dangerous. No, it's -- see, I just -- I kind of just figured it out. He's like a -- like a boy scout, right, who has a crush on a girl in camp.
Carly: I -- I don't get it. Explain.
Sonny: Well, see, he's in love with you, right, and he wants to -- he wants to prove it to you.
Carly: Oh. That we belong together?
Sonny: Right, yeah.
Carly: Oh, I see. I see. You don't actually believe this, do you, Alcazar?
Lorenzo: Husband's doing the talking, not me.
Carly: You held me against my will. You are the reason Courtney lost her baby, and you almost killed Jason.
Lorenzo: He got in the way of business negotiations.
Carly: All right. Lorenzo, your life is this miserable waste and it has absolutely nothing to do with me.
Lorenzo: I disagree.
Carly: Well, then you're a fool, because Sonny and I love each other. We have been through hell and back together. And no one's breaking us up.
Sonny: You can go ahead and go now.
Sonny: It's all right.
Carly: Oh, thank God that's over.
Dillon: Ok. Maybe you're not big on heartfelt declarations. That's ok. That's -- that's totally fine. I -- I got a thing -- I'm just going to pry this size-10 boot out of my mouth and then dunk my head in the water barrel outside.
Georgie: Dillon, wait.
Dillon: No! No. You must be really freaked out right now, trapped in a barn with some guy who kind of -- you might like just a little bit, who just smacked you right in between the eyes with the L word.
Georgie: If you would just listen to --
Dillon: Wow! The L word. It's used a lot, isn't it? If we could just -- let's -- here we go. Let's vow never to use that word again. Let's just not. You know what? Oh, hey, hey -- I'll put -- well, I'll put it to you this way. We'll erase it from the English language, ok? Here we go. It's being erased. There it goes. Bye. Bye. There it goes. And Swahili -- Swahili. This one gets Swahili and Hindu. And there's Hebrew. If it ever shows up again, you know, let's just cut it in editing. It's no problem. We can just -- we can just work on this --
Georgie: Now it's your turn to shut up.
Dillon: Uh -- yeah. Doing that, ok.
Georgie: I never want to forget what you said. Because if I did, then I might not be able to say that I love you back.
Skye: Guess who?
Skye: The other redhead.
Ned: My favorite redhead.
Ned: So good to have you back. What a surprise. Have a seat.
Skye: Yeah. I --
Ned: What a nice surprise.
Skye: See Kristina has discovered her toes.
Ned: You saw her?
Skye: Yeah, I went straight home from the airport.
Ned: Oh. Well, she missed you.
Ned: Especially at night when -- well, I just don't know how to do that thing you do with, you know, paprika the lamb.
Skye: Oh. Yeah. Well, I think a lot has happened, right, since I've been gone? So catch me up.
Ned: Yes -- um -- Emily is getting out of the hospital.
Skye: Yes, Alan filled me in. I told you she was going to pull through, and I was so excited to hear that she and Zander are going to get married.
Ned: Yeah. Well, they're married.
Skye: Oh, wow! Ok. Um -- so, what else happened?
Ned: Beside the deathbed vigil and shotgun marriage and Emily's miraculous recovery?
Skye: Ned, don't kid.
Ned: Well, actually, something did happen. It's kind of awful.
Skye: Well, Ned, you know you can tell me.
Ned: Dillon gave Emily and Zander a honeymoon in Venice. He sang to them. He sang very badly. And the whole hospital heard him. And I'm afraid the whole Quartermaine name may never recover. He was that bad.
Skye: Yeah, well, teenagers can afford a little embarrassment.
Ned: Says the sage. So how about you? How was your trip?
Skye: You know what, Ned? Forget the trip, ok? I know about Cindy. When were you going to tell me they found a half-naked 15-year-old in your bed?
Lydia: Emily, have you seen my husband?
Emily: He's visiting our friend Elizabeth.
Lydia: She's in the hospital, too?
Emily: Nikolas will be back when he's sure Elizabeth is ok.
Lydia: Good. I can't wait to tell him the good news. Dr. Meadows says that I am a prime candidate for motherhood.
Emily: That's great, Lydia.
Lydia: Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't even thinking. Can you even have children after the chemo?
Emily: What did you just say?
Lydia: You could always adopt -- if Zander's ok with that. I suppose we all learn to live with what we can't have.
Emily: Like love?
Lydia: I don't know what you mean.
Emily: Oh, it's something you certainly don't have.
Lydia: I have Nikolas.
Emily: Only because I gave him up, because I would do anything to protect him, Lydia.
Lydia: You made your choice. It's too late to change your mind now.
Emily: You know, if Nikolas didn't need your family's money to keep him safe, then I --
Lydia: You'd what? Give up Zander and take Nikolas back? I wonder how your husband would feel about that?
Zander: Why don't you ask me?
Lydia: Emily and I were just discussing honeymoons.
Emily: Yeah, I was just explaining that I'm not -- not up to traveling yet.
Lydia: Well, when you are, I would suggest someplace far away, like Helsinki.
Emily: That's funny, Lydia.
Zander: Did Emily tell you about Venice? How her cousins brought it to us?
Zander: Emily and I will travel the world together when she's 100%.
Lydia: Emily, you are so lucky to have such a dedicated, romantic man by your side. Is it true that Zander loves you so much, he actually brought you back to life?
Emily: Yeah. Zander never gave up on me.
Lydia: Positively inspiring.
Zander: Yeah, I should really get Emily home.
Lydia: Of course.
Lydia: All this talk of romance is making me long for my own husband. Have a great life, Emily.
Lydia: You deserve it.
Zander: Wow. You don't like that girl, do you?
Emily: You know, I barely know her, and that's how I'd like to keep it. Hey, what difference does it make? I'm getting out of this place. Hey.
Zander: Yeah. I got a surprise for you.
Emily: Yeah? What is it?
Zander: Just something to show you how much I love you.
Carly: You realize this is a game that Alcazar's still playing, don't you? I mean, his life is empty, his brother's dead, he's got nothing better to do than to try and make our lives miserable.
Sonny: Why can't you admit that Alcazar wants you? That you're strong, beautiful, smart? Huh?
Carly: Hmm? Well, no matter what he knows, I'm not going to leave you ever. Especially not for him.
Sonny: Yeah, but you know what?
Sonny: Maybe this is supposed to be like a date, you know what I mean? He was going to set up some tables, right?
Sonny: Candles -- and you know, challenge you to another game of backgammon.
Carly: All right, you.
Carly: I don't care. Candles, backgammon --
Sonny: Well, come on now.
Carly: Come on. I love you and only you.
Sonny: Uh-huh. Well, all right, you know what? We both know Alcazar can't come between us. But he's still a threat.
Carly: Sonny, our lives are always going to be filled with risk. It's just the way we live.
Sonny: Because of choices I made, Alcazar knows that. He's going to exploit it.
Carly: He's not stupid. He's not going to hurt someone I love because then he cannot get what he wants.
Sonny: You already turned him down. He's got nothing to lose.
Carly: He never had me in the first place, you.
Carly: Yeah. I love you. And I'm always going to stand by you.
Sonny: I'm counting on it.
Dillon: Scale of one to 10, how do you rate this moment?
Dillon: Um, excuse me, call me an overachiever, but I was looking for a 10.
Dillon: You asked for it.
Georgie: You always do this.
Georgie: Surprise me, make it better. Make me laugh, even when the worst stuff is happening.
Dillon: Well, you know, I did kind of want to take the focus off of the fact that we're in a barn. Didn't exactly picture it would happen this way.
Georgie: You've pictured it before?
Dillon: Yeah. You have to picture all of life's great moments before they happen, you know.
Georgie: Well, how'd you see it? I mean, in your head?
Dillon: Ok. Um -- New Orleans --
Dillon: Hot, thick, humid night during Mardi Gras. We're standing on a balcony. You got beads all over you and you're watching the parade going on below. I take your hand and I pull you into, like, a little corner in a little niche in the building, and we can still hear the crowds celebrating in the background and I just -- tell you I love you, and we have this perfect private moment.
Georgie: Wow. You weren't kidding.
Dillon: Yeah. Or a Sunday morning in England over coffee at our flat in Covent Gardens. That would be really nice. Or in Paraguay right before stealing the Cane diamond. That would be really cool.
Georgie: The barn worked. Indiana, the barn is very good.
Dillon: At least I could have given you flowers.
Georgie: I'd probably try to eat them.
Dillon: Oh, God, I'm really hungry, too.
Dillon: I'm going to go get something.
Georgie: Oh, no, no, no, we've got to stay together.
Dillon: No, we need supplies. What's important is that you stay out of sight.
Georgie: But if Faith's after me, she's going to be looking for you, too.
Dillon: I will be careful. Hey, it's me.
Georgie: That's what I'm afraid of.
Ned: You talked to Junior. What did he do, call you while he was driving Cindy home?
Skye: No. This particular story was his welcome-back present.
Ned: Well, it's not as bad as you think.
Skye: Well, obviously. Finding a teenager in your bed isn't exactly a normal day-to-day occurrence.
Ned: Look, Skye, I didn't tell you right away because I didn't want to -- I didn't want to -- I've missed you. And these past few weeks have been hell. And I didn't want to spend the afternoon reliving a crazy fan incident.
Skye: You mean, the latest incident.
Ned: If you're referring to the diary that was left, I have no proof that there's any connection between those two.
Skye: Well, either it's an unsettling pattern, or Eddie Maine's past isn't as squeaky clean as it's been made out to be. The south side --
Carly: Hmm, do you know the whole time I was away, this is what I missed most? Being in your arms, the quiet times.
Sonny: Get up for a second.
Carly: What? I'm sorry, did you not just hear me tell you how comfortable I was?
Sonny: Yeah, but you -- you missed this more, believe me.
Sonny: Come on.
Carly: Oh, mm-hmm. That's very nice, very nice.
sonny: I just --
Sonny: I want you to be happy. I want you to know you're cherished.
Carly: I do.
Carly: God, you know me.
Sonny: Sometimes better than I know myself.
Sonny: I know that you love it when I kiss you here.
Sonny: You get chills when I hold you tight like this. Hmm?
Sonny: And when I whisper in your ear when we dance, you fly.
Sonny: I just want you to understand something, ok?
Sonny: I can't live without you.
Carly: I can't live without you, either.
Ned: What exactly are you accusing me of?
Skye: Nothing. There's a whole line of girls from here to Pine Valley doing a bang-up job on their own.
Ned: I don't know any of those girls.
Skye: Well, you knew Tina, didn't you? That girl in the park the day of the cancer walk? And what about all those emails, huh? And the diary of love sonnets to Eddie Maine left on your doorstep?
Ned: I don't need the list, Skye.
Skye: Oh, and there's another one. See if this rings a bell -- Jennifer Dispigno, Long Island?
Ned: The gig at Jones Beach.
Skye: Yeah, you played the concert, then took the girl across the state lines.
Ned: Because she hid out in the back of the bus.
Skye: And you canceled a show the next day in New Jersey.
Ned: Yeah, so we could take her back home in the morning, which we did. But that never went public. How do you know that?
Skye: I hired a private investigator.
Ned: You what?
Skye: Ned, I had to. What would happen to Kristina if this all came out?
Ned: Hold on a second. You seriously think that I'm capable of this? That I'm guilty of statutory rape?
Skye: What I think is that you are guilty of being too trusting. This whole thing has got Alexis written all over it.
Man (to Dillon): Your girlfriend -- we want to know where she's hiding.
Georgie: Dillon? Is that you? Ok.
Man: My partner's going to uncover your mouth. Scream and we'll take it out on the girl when we find her.
Dillon: I know. Its -- it's cool. I don't know where Georgie is, though. I mean, if I was the Police Commissioner, she might be in protective custody. Couldn't tell you.
Man: The boss said you'd be a talker.
Lorenzo: Two against one hardly seems fair.
Man: We don't want any trouble.
Lorenzo: Then leave. Don't come near him again.
Lorenzo: What'd I tell you about being in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Dillon: It's -- I'm not me that's in trouble. It's my girlfriend.
Dillon: Yeah. Yeah, we got on Faith's --
Lorenzo: Slow down.
Dillon: We got on Faith Rosco's bad side, and now she wants to hurt her.
Lorenzo: So talk your way out of it.
Dillon: Faith is a psycho. And she's planning on killing my girlfriend, ok? I -- I'm going to do everything I can to stop that, but it's going to be a lot easier if you're on my side. Will you help me?
Man (to Georgie): This is my property and you don't belong. I guess I'm going to have to show you what I do with trespassers.
Lorenzo: You want me to make Faith back off?
Dillon: Hey, no big deal, right? I mean, she's obviously smalltime compared to a guy like you. You could knock this off over breakfast.
Lorenzo: You think?
Dillon: I'm serious. Georgie is everything to me, and, you know, I don't have time to mess around. I need to hurry. And if you can't help me, I got to find somebody else --
Lorenzo: No, you obviously care about her very much.
Dillon: Yes, sir, I do. And she's in trouble, so I need your help.
Lorenzo: Strong words. You should be careful who you say them to. You never know when someone might expect something in return.
Skye: This whole scandals-from-the-past thing is a classic setup.
Ned: But it's not Alexis' style.
Skye: Yeah, well, I thought it might have been A.J., but he denied it.
Ned: She can be unreasonable, even ruthless in court. But to go after me like this?
Skye: Hey, I don't know the Alexis you spent all those years with, Ned, but the one that I've seen lately hasn't exactly been a bastion of morality. For God's sake, she faked a mental illness to get away with murder, and now she's attacking you? Trying to dismantle your life? Steal the child you love?
Ned: No, no, no, no, no. It just doesn't fit. But what if someone were working on her behalf?
Skye: Somebody with unlimited resources.
Ned: Cold, calculating.
Skye: How did we miss it?
Ned and Skye: Stefan.
Stefan: We need to move tonight.
Cindy: I thought we had more time.
Stefan: My sister is returning earlier than expected.
Cindy: And that's bad?
Stefan: It could be, which is why I'm pushing up the timeline. Are you ready?
Cindy: You tell me.
Stefan: Where did Mr. Coleman find you?
Cindy: Let's just say it wasn't in the library.
Emily: I'll get the light.
Zander: So what do you think?
Emily: I think you should put me down before you break your neck.
Zander: I mean, about this place.
Emily: I love this place. What I don't get is why we're here.
Zander: I rented it. Your family's house is huge, but I hated the idea of us starting our life together there.
Emily: Ok. You mean, this is ours?
Zander: Yours and mine. We're home.
Emily: I can't believe it. It's our first home.
Zander: I love you. I just want everything for us to be right from now on.
Emily: It is. Everything's perfect.
Lydia: Thanks for coming to the hospital with me today.
Nikolas: There's no need to thank me.
Lydia: Yes, there is. You didn't even want this marriage, Nikolas, and you probably don't want to have a child with me. Maybe some day you will. Until then, I'm here as a friend if you'll let me be. Maybe someday as more.
Bartender: Mrs. Corinthos? Oh, I -- I didn't realize --
Sonny: No, it's all right. The club's staying closed.
Bartender: Yes, sir.
Carly: Come back. He's kidding.
Sonny: What do you mean, I'm kidding? I'm not kidding.
Carly: Yes, you are. I've got paperwork I need to do.
Sonny: No, but I want to take you home, you know?
Carly: I have a couple of invoices. Let me just get them first.
Sonny: Ok, no, no, no. You rest. I'll get them for you.
Carly: That's very nice of you.
Sonny: Yeah, well -- I'll get the lights.
Carly: Hey. Is that for me by any chance?
Bartender: Yeah, it just came via messenger. I just signed for it.
Carly: Oh, thank you. It's probably from Meyer.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Cindy: I'm at the Port Charles Hotel.
Ned: I'll be right over there.
Carly: What happened?
Courtney: My car got stolen.
Lorenzo: Give me a good reason why I should help you.
Dillon: I'll work for you.
Georgie: I'm sorry for trespassing. I'm just going to --
Man: Oh, no, no, not so fast.
Ric: Faith Rosco needs to die.
