Courtney: Thank you for coming back.
Jason: I always will. I just wish I could make you understand how much I love you.
Courtney: I do. I love you, too. I'm sorry I lashed out at you. You didn't deserve that.
Jason: You wanted to make me angry. You worked at it. Why?
Courtney: Maybe -- maybe because the anger's easier than the grief.
Zander: Em? Emily, hey. You want to skip this part? We can skip right to the part where you pronounce us husband and wife, right?
Emily: No, I -- I don't want any shortcuts.
Zander: Baby, you sure?
Emily: I, Emily, take you, Zander, to be my husband. Finally. I promise to love you for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as we --
Zander: Hey, so far I like it.
Emily: As long as we both shall live.
Justice: By the power vested in me and the state of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Zander, kiss your bride.
Cameron: There. All your official documents duly signed and sworn to. I'll be back to see my patient first thing in the morning.
Scott: Well, this place is hopping with your patients. You may not know this because you're new in town, but murder is a big hobby with the Cassadines. Today's catch -- Alexis' brother Stefan.
Alexis: I'm here, Stefan.
Alexis: I'd like a moment alone with my brother, please.
Andy: Sure. I can give you some time.
Alexis: I want the truth. Are you responsible for Summer's death?
Scott: Glad you could make it, Ric.
Ric: Why did I?
Scott: Oh, you're a cool customer, aren't you? It's not too late to charge you with Carly's kidnapping.
Ric: Yeah, unless, of course, I cooperate. What do you want, Scott?
Scott: I want ammunition on Corinthos and I want everything that you know about Lorenzo Alcazar.
Lorenzo: Where are you off to this fine evening? Taking your girlfriend out to celebrate your new job at E.L.Q.?
Dillon: Well, I think that every day you wake up is a celebration.
Lorenzo: That's true.
Dillon: Unfortunately, ours will have to wait till the end of the week, so --
Lorenzo: Right -- those ridiculous corporate pay schedules. What do you draw? Every other Friday or the 1st and the 15th?
Dillon: Hey, Fridays rule, man.
Lorenzo: Well, I don't believe in postponing celebrations, so why don't the two of you have a good time on me.
Georgie: Thank you, Mr. Alcazar, but we could not possibly take your --
Dillon: Thank you.
Lorenzo: You're welcome.
Dillon: Thank you.
Lorenzo: Have a good time.
Dillon: I don't care how scary he is. That guy is so cool. Actually, if we leave now, we could probably catch dinner and then maybe one movie -- two movies, actually. We could see "Casablanca" and --
Dillon: I'm thinking maybe "To Have and Have --"
Dillon: What? What's wrong?
Georgie: What does that look like to you?
Dillon: Oh, no way.
Georgie: Yeah. That was my first thought, too.
Dillon: It's a body.
Sonny: Alcazar was willing to risk your life to save the baby, something I never could or would do.
Carly: Oh, come on, Sonny, don't, don't do this. I don't compare you and Alcazar on any level. I mean, how could I? There's no comparison.
Sonny: Then why are you defending him? He's my enemy.
Carly: I realize that. I am just saying that some enemies are worse than others.
Sonny: Okay, you know what? Just admit it. Alcazar helped you hold on to this baby, so because of that, he got to you a little bit.
Carly: Why are you doing this, Sonny?
Sonny: What? I made an observation based on evidence that's right in front of me.
Carly: No, you are talking yourself into something that is not true. Alcazar didn't get to me. Am I glad that he was able to talk the doctor out of doing a C‑section? Yeah, I am, but it doesn't mean he's my hero or I am connected to him in some meaningful way.
Sonny: Well, he doesn't see it that way.
Carly: It's a game.
Carly: Sonny, why can't you see that? Alcazar is no more in love with me than I'm in love with him.
Sonny: Why would it be so hard for me to believe that he would fall in love with you? I mean, you're the best thing he's ever seen.
Carly: Sonny, I was a bargaining chip that he liked --
Sonny: Well, maybe his feeling-- maybe his feelings have grown.
Carly: Mine haven't. And isn't that what's important? Come on, Sonny. If we show him how bonded we are, how there's no chance in hell that he could ever come between us, come on, he's going to go away. Okay? If you don't, if you want to take that bait and go after him, that's fine, but I'm afraid that all hell is going to break loose.
Andy: Hey, Georgie. You looking for your dad?
Georgie: Yeah. Is he around?
Andy: No. Mac's out on a case. Anything I can do?
Dillon: Can we just talk to the commissioner?
Georgie: We saw a dead body.
Dillon: At the tip of the Elm Street pier, floating.
Scott: Did you recognize the body?
Georgie: No, I didn't.
Scott: What about you, young Quartermaine?
Dillon: No, I don't know the guy, okay? I mean, it might have been one of the guys that jumped Courtney.
Scott: Courtney was jumped? Did you know this?
Andy: It's the first I'm hearing about it, boss. But I got a call about another body that washed up on shore about a mile off the pier.
Scott: Get a statement and get a Polaroid of these stiffs, possible I.D., huh?
Andy: Yeah, you got it. Come on, guys.
Jason: I know losing our baby is so much harder for you.
Courtney: Jason, please. I just -- I can't do this. It just hurts too much.
Jason: I know. I know, but you need to let it out, even if it's a little bit, if that's all you can manage. Just let me help you. Give me some of that pain.
Courtney: I should have told you right away.
Jason: I -- I gave you a lot of reasons not to.
Courtney: Look, I knew that you weren't going to be crazy about the idea. But I wasn't -- I wasn't worried, Jason. I knew that once I told you about that baby, all your reservations, they would melt away and you would be just as happy as I was.
Jason: I would have been, I swear.
Courtney: I know.
Jason: Hold on. Hello. Okay, okay, I'll be right there. It's Emily.
Emily: Thank you for -- for being such a -- for being such a dear and true friend to Zander.
Gia: It isn't a hardship, Emily. Zander's a wonderful guy.
Emily: Zander's lucky to have you. And so am I.
Gia: I love you, Em.
Emily: This is going to sound crazy, but I firmly believe that the three of us were -- were a family in another life.
Elizabeth: Em, I know you're -- we know you're trying to say you just love us beyond infinity.
Lucky: We love you the same way.
Nikolas: Congratulations. I know how long you've waited for this day.
Zander: Thank you. I appreciate that.
Emily: Nikolas? Is that you?
Emily: Well, get over here.
Emily: I wish -- I wish there was a -- a special language for a time when words as we know them are -- are completely inadequate. I want to thank you, but I don't -- I don't know how.
Nikolas: You have many times over, Em. Not that you ever really needed to. I'm privileged to be your -- your friend, and I'm honored.
Zander: Well, how you feeling, Em? Time that I kicked these jokers out so we can let you get some rest? It's been a long day.
Elizabeth: Yeah. Zander's right, Em. We are going to let you rest. But, first, we --
Lucky: In lieu of the traditional throwing of rice --
Emily: I love it. I love it. I'm sorry.
Elizabeth: You don't have to apologize, Em. I apologize we've already been here way too long. I love you, Em.
Lucky: Yeah, why don't you just get your rest?
Gia: Be strong, Em.
Zander: They are great, aren't they?
Emily: Only the best friends anyone could ever, ever have. We're very fortunate, you know.
Zander: Yeah. Hey, listen, once we're over this, you're feeling back to yourself, maybe we'll -- we'll throw a party to thank them. Who knows? Maybe we'll even -- we'll even invite our families, if they're good.
Stefan: The charges against me are preposterous.
Alexis: There must have been some compelling evidence or you wouldn't have been arrested. The taped confession must have been very interesting. Not only persuaded the cops, but Nikolas as well.
Cameron: You proud of yourself?
Stefan: This is a private conversation.
Cameron: Oh, forgive me, your grace. Your brother set you up, Alexis. Don't you know that?
Monica: Zander, you paged Dr. Misra?
Zander: Yeah. He's in there examining her right now. It's just that it was an eventful day and I just wanted to be sure, that's all.
Dr. Misra: Excuse me. May I have a word with you?
Elizabeth: I think we should go.
Gia: See you, guys.
Lucky: Take care.
Dr. Misra: Emily's fever is up. It might be another infection. As you well know, I've seen plenty of miracles in my years as a doctor never to use the words "no hope." But at this time, as Emily's loved ones, you really should prepare for the worst. I'm sorry. I'll check back with you in a while.
Monica: Hi, sweetheart.
Emily: I can smell your perfume. I think I owe you an apology.
Monica: No. I cannot imagine why.
Emily: I cheated you out of every mother's dream -- to be present at her daughter's wedding.
Monica: Well, every mother dreams of her daughter's happiness, so you didn't cheat me out of anything.
Emily: I love you both so much. You've been -- you've been incredible to me. I came to you as -- as a stranger who just lost her mother, and I never felt more alone, but you scooped me up and you brought me home. And you gave me a family and unconditional love.
Monica: Oh, sweetheart, you've been an unexpected but a very, very precious gift.
Alan: Emily, you are the light of our lives. We love you more than you could ever know.
Emily: Jason. I'm so glad you came.
Lorenzo: I gather we're here for the same reason.
Sonny: Looks like a couple of thugs were washed up in the harbor. The same two punks who worked over my sister. How does that happen, Alcazar? I didn't off them.
Lorenzo: I guess that means I did.
Cameron: Exactly when did Stefan so generously offer to help you with your daughter? Was it before or after Summer was pushed from the Wyndemere cliffs? Look at him. He doesn't give a damn about you or your daughter or whether or not you're ever reunited. All he cares about is saving his own hide.
Alexis: We're in the middle of something.
Cameron: Haven't you covered up enough murders in the name of your daughter?
Scott: Thank you both for coming down and assisting in the investigation. Do you think it's kind of sad when two young guys are cut down in their prime?
Sonny: Okay, now that Alcazar and I know why we're here, what's his excuse?
Scott: He's here on a whole other matter.
Sonny: Oh. That wouldn't have anything to do with my wife's kidnapping, now, would it?
Carly: You're going to have to help me understand this, Courtney. If Emily may not live through the night, then why are you here? Why aren't you at the hospital with Jason?
Courtney: Carly, I offered to go, okay? Jason just said there wasn't anything that I could do.
Carly: Okay, you need to listen to me. If Emily dies, Jason is going to be devastated and he's going to need you more than ever, no matter what he says. Don't you see this parallel? He's doing the same thing you did. He's trying to spare you. It's not that there's nothing you can do. He wasn't lying when he said that. He was just wrong, like you're going to be wrong if you let him go through this alone. Courtney, there is something you can do. You can be there with him, and being there is everything.
Emily: I'm so glad I had you in my life. I always wanted a big brother. And I won the lottery with you.
Jason: I feel the same way.
Emily: Thank you, Jase, for always telling me the truth whether I wanted to hear it or not. Thank you for -- thank you for loving me so -- so completely.
Jason: I always will. You're a part of me now, forever. I'm so much better for it.
Emily: Does Courtney make you happy?
Emily: That's what I want for you, is a great love that lasts and lasts. This is it, Jase. I'm at the rest of my life. Today I promised it to Zander. But when I swore to love him like no other man, I was thinking of Nikolas. Jason, does that make me an awful person?
Jason: No. No, you can't help who you love.
Emily: I'm so afraid for him, Jason. He's in -- he's in a lot of trouble.
Jason: Who is, Nikolas?
Emily: Yeah, there are people out there who want to kill him. Please, please don't let that happen.
Jason: No, no, okay, I'll handle it.
Emily: Yeah, I don't know who they are, and I just need you to --
Jason: I swear to you I'll find out, okay? Nikolas will stay alive.
Emily: Thank you.
Jason: Why don't you get some rest?
Emily: Jason, I don't want to close my eyes. I might not ever wake up. It's okay, Jase. I'm not afraid anymore. I'm just not -- not quite ready.
Jason: Well, you know, people don't end when they die. I mean, no one as good and as brave and full of love could -- could end, Emily. And I'm not sure what heaven is, but I know it's better. And I know it's there. You know, the confusion's going to go away and you're going to finally understand why things happened, you know, what you got from being here and what you gave to all of us.
Emily: I love you, Jase.
Jason: I love you, too.
Emily: Hi, husband.
Zander: Hey, I don't want to interrupt.
Jason: No, that's okay. Emily is just getting tired. I was just leaving. I won't be far, all right?
Monica: What are we going to do without her?
Jason: I don't know, but we're going to have to figure it out.
Monica: Oh, Jason.
Jason: Thank you for giving me my sister.
Emily: Some wedding night, huh?
Zander: It's perfect.
Emily: I'm sorry, but this is the best I can give you.
Zander: Sweetheart, we're together. That's all that matters.
Scott: I think everybody knows everybody here.
Sonny: Can we get to the point? I'm losing patience here.
Scott: Well, these watchful young citizens were the ones that reported the stiff floating in the harbor we call murder victim one.
Lorenzo: Nice catch, so to speak.
Scott: Hey, that's funny. How about this -- Dillon was able to identify the two floaters as the guys that attacked Courtney, and they work for you, so you're my catch.
Lorenzo: That is an unsubstantiated rumor.
Scott: Hmm. Hey, rack your minds there. Can you connect the victims to these two at all?
Scott: Think about it, Quartermaine.
Dillon: I already told you no.
Sonny: Okay, you know what? You're wasting everybody's time here. I had nothing to do with the deaths of these people, so if you want to ask me some questions, call my attorney.
Lorenzo: It goes for me, as well.
Scott: Gangsters -- got to love them, huh?
Zander: Before I met you, I didn't believe in real love. I didn't expect it in my life. I didn't even want it. And then I met you. Everything I ever learned about real love I learned from you.
Emily: I loved every moment I had with you, Zander.
Zander: Hey, don't talk about it like it's in the past. We're just getting started.
Nikolas: Oh. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't be here, but I -- I can't stay away.
Monica: No, hey, Nikolas, it's okay.
Nikolas: I'm not going to intrude or anything, you know. I just -- I need to be as close to her as possible just in case --
Alan: It's okay.
Nikolas: Something happens.
Alan: It's okay. Come on. There's a vacant room right next door. You can go and sit in there for a while. It'll be fine.
Nikolas: Okay, thank you. I appreciate that very much.
Emily: Can't keep my -- can't keep my eyes open any longer.
Zander: Try, Em, just for a little while, a little while longer.
Jason: God, can you help my little sister? She's afraid to die, but she pretends she isn't. Could you take Emily's fear away and just let her know that, you know, it's okay to stop fighting and let go and that all the people she loves will be all right when she's gone? I'm not sure how. I can't imagine this world without Emily. All I know is that I can't think about that right now. So just please help me make it okay for her to go.
Cameron: You're going to defend Stefan, aren't you, even though you know he had Summer killed?
Alexis: Even Stefan deserves the presumption of innocence.
Cameron: What about Kristina? What does she deserve?
Alexis: You don't understand.
Cameron: Manslaughter, perjury, faking mental illness, letting others stand trial for your crime, and now to top it all off, aiding and abetting a murderer? I thought you wanted to protect Kristina from people like that.
Carly: What happened?
Sonny: Alcazar had the men who jumped Courtney killed.
Carly: Are you sure?
Sonny: Yeah, because he told me. He said that I should thank him for something I couldn't do.
Carly: He's trying to get to you, Sonny.
Sonny: What, he's trying to get to me? I don't want to hear that anymore, okay? You know what? He may have been nice to you once and you think he's a decent guy, but he's a predator in my life!
Elizabeth: I was here earlier.
Jason: For the wedding?
Elizabeth: Yeah. It was beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time.
Jason: Yeah, I bet it was.
Elizabeth: I tried to go home. I got about halfway, and then I had to -- I had to turn back around. I just -- I just can't leave. Emily's my best friend, Jason. I don't know how to let her go.
Jason: Look, I know it's hard, but we have to.
Elizabeth: I just can't imagine life without her. Why is this happening?
Emily's voice: Nikolas? Nikolas?
Nikolas' voice: Emily?
Nikolas: Oh, I can hardly believe it.
Emily: Me, too.
Nikolas: It's finally happening.
Emily: I was so afraid we'd never be together.
Nikolas: We are now. I, Nikolas, take you, Emily, to be my wife, for better, for worse --
Emily: For richer, for poorer --
Nikolas: In sickness and in health --
>> This week on "General Hospital" --
Alan: What are we going to do without her?
Jason: The doctors don't think she's going to wake up.
Carly: I'm so sorry.
Courtney: I know what you want, Elizabeth.
Ric: How long have you been after my wife?
Jason: You don't have a wife.
Ric: You are the only woman who has ever mattered at all to me. You're the only woman I have ever loved.
