Jax: Don't tell anyone that Alexis has the baby.
Emily: Ned hasn't slept since the baby disappeared. This is his little baby, too.
Alexis: I couldn't risk telling him.
Ric: I want to ruin Sonny Corinthos. I want to take everything from the man that means something to him -- his money, his power, his family.
Sonny: I want this over.
Jason: Just give me the gun. I'll take you home.
Jason: I got to go.
Courtney: Right now?
Jason: There's some business I got to take care of.
Courtney: Can't it just wait, I mean, just -- just for a little while?
Jason: Are you ok?
Courtney: It's just I don't want to move, you know? Just want to stay here and pretend that there is no one else in the world but you and me.
Ric: It worked. Sonny saw the pictures and he bought our story. He thinks that Jax is your silent backer.
Ric: He's told Jason to finish him, but Jason seems to be balking.
Faith: And that means what for us?
Ric: Just works to our advantage -- makes Jason disloyal.
Faith: What if he believes Jason?
Ric: Don't worry about it, ok? I'm handling the situation.
Faith: Well, that's easy for you to say. The minute Sonny believes he's taken care of the silent partner, I'm dead.
Ric: Don't worry about a thing. The only person who's going to die is Jax.
Skye: Jax, I can't take it anymore. I have to tell Ned that Alexis has Kristina.
Jax: Skye, you canít.
Skye: He's her father. You saw how frantic he is. I'm sure there are a thousand possibilities going through his brain right now, each one worse than the last.
Jax: Alexis will bring Kristina back. She just needs a little more time.
Skye: Listen to me. A.J. and I are the one that took that baby from this house. If anything happens to that child, it's going to be all my fault.
Jax: Nothing is going to happen to that child. Alexis loves her daughter.
Skye: Oh, is that why she's probably on a plane at this very moment ready to leave the country?
Jax: Look, I know Alexis. Ok? She'll do the right thing.
Jax: You got to trust me on this. Just sit tight, don't say a word.
Zander: Dad, I don't know what happened.
Cameron: Well, you killed him. You killed your own brother!
Emily: Zander, what's the matter?
Zander: It's nothing.
Emily: Well, maybe you'll feel better if you talk about it.
Zander: Yeah, not this.
Zander: I tried to tell you before you left, but I couldnít.
Emily: Nothing that you can say will change the way I feel about you.
Zander: Five years ago today, I killed my brother.
Michael: Daddy, can I go to school without the bodyguards today, because --
Sonny: No. No, no, no, no. Uh -- they have to go with you -- wherever you go, the bodyguards got to be with you. You understand what I'm saying? I'm sorry. I know it's not fun, but it's important that they're with you at this time.
Michael: Ok, Daddy.
Carly: Everything's ok. Daddy's just a little -- little worried these days.
Carly: It's just business stuff, honey.
Sonny: It'll all be over soon, I promise.
Faith: Sonny's called a meeting of the five families and he's going to be there in person? He wants me to go? That's interesting. Of course I will. It's a golden opportunity. If Sonny's at the meeting, he won't be watching the home front.
Sonny: I just got -- there's something I got to take care of.
Carly: Well, can someone else go?
Carly: Did you talk about it with Jason?
Sonny: I don't need to.
Carly: I don't mean to push you at all, but this is affecting Michael. He knows something's going on, and he's scared. And I just --
Sonny: Everything -- you know what? Everything I do is for you, Michael, and the baby. I just want to keep you guys safe.
Sonny: But that's why I got to go. I got to -- I got to go see Mike.
Carly: Oh, I didn't -- I didn't know. Ok -- that'll be good.
Sonny: About Michael -- can you just tell him --
Carly: Don't -- don't worry about Michael. I'll explain things so he can understand.
Sonny: All right.
Emily: It was an accident, Zander. It was a terrible, terrible accident --
Emily: And it wasn't your fault.
Zander: Try and tell that to my dad. He blamed me for being careless, being irresponsible. Emily, he couldn't even look at me. All he could see was a reminder that he lost his firstborn son. So you ask me why I never mentioned my father. Because from that day, I was dead to him.
Emily: Is that why you left home?
Zander: Yeah, I couldn't make any sense out of anything. I couldn't make anything out of my life -- until you. Yeah, I didn't know my father was in Port Charles, and I'd gotten in some trouble with the cops. And then, by some bizarre twist, he ended up my court-ordered psychiatrist.
Zander: What's the point? He's never going to stop blaming me.
Emily: All right. There's a wall between you. It'll take both of you to break it down.
Zander: Neither of us want to.
Emily: Uh-uh. I don't believe that.
Zander: I know. That's because you think everything can be fixed. Sometimes there's things in life that just -- they can't be made right.
Emily: All right, Zander, you and your father -- you share a huge misunderstanding. Don't waste time. You never know how much time you have left. Don't let pride stand in your way.
Emily: All right.
Zander: Hey, I know how hard it is for you to keep this secret about Kristina from your family, but I appreciate it, Em. I really do.
Monica: Oh, Scott, do you have any news?
Alan: Have you found Kristina?
Scott: No, and we have no leads.
Monica: Well, something will have to turn up.
Alan: It has to.
Scott: I've instructed PCPD to take the wiretap off. I just wanted to come by and tell you I'm sorry --
Ned: No, no. Leave the wiretap.
Scott: It's been a week, Ned.
Ned: Leave it.
Scott: Been no ransom demand.
Edward: Because Kristina is with her mother, holed up in some Cassadine hideaway, having a big laugh on all of us.
Scott: Being treated at a private institution.
Edward: Oh, yes, set up by Dr. Lewis as a smokescreen. Tell you, that man would do anything, even kidnapping, if it would benefit Alexis.
Scott: Well, there's just no proof.
Edward: It shouldn't be that difficult, Baldwin. Just investigate. Put more officers on the case. Do what you need to do.
Officer: Mr. Quartermaine, we don't have any evidence against Ms. Davis.
Alan: What is? The fact that you have no one to blame?
Monica: Thanks to you, Edward, Kristina could be anywhere.
Jason: I just got to find out who Faith's silent partner is. I mean, once Sonny knows who he's fighting, he'll be able to focus. Things can get back to the way they were.
Courtney: I hope you're right.
Jason: I am. See you later.
Courtney: Be careful, ok?
Courtney: Michael. So, what brings you across the hall?
Michael: I need to talk to Jason.
Courtney: Well, he's not going to be back for a while, but maybe I can help. Do you want to come in and talk about it?
Courtney: What's going on?
Michael: Daddy's sick,
and I need to go away to
Edward: Something goes wrong in this house, and suddenly it's my fault.
Monica: It all began with your scheming. You bet.
Edward: Now, be honest with us, Monica. You wanted that little baby in this house just as much as the rest of us.
Monica: I was appalled at what you did.
Alan: You could have called the police, and you didnít.
Monica: Because I was afraid that Kristina would be sent to a foster home.
Edward: Monica, we saw you in this very room cooing to that little baby, and then the judge came in and -- your lips were sealed.
Monica: Yes, to your great relief.
Alan: It's as much your fault as ours, Monica.
Ned: What is wrong with you people? A beautiful child has been kidnapped, and you're standing here bickering as if someone lost a shoe.
Edward: Oh, Ned, don't be so bitter.
Ned: Kristina would be
safe and sound in my home right now, but I don't have a home. It was burned to
the ground, along with all my personal possessions, so you could abscond with
your newest heir. And you ask me
Alan: Ned, we love Kristina dearly.
Ned: Then start acting like it. The police have given up. They think Kristina will never be found. And as far as we know, they may be right.
Emily: Your baby's all right.
Cameron: Sorry. I don't mean to go on and on about it.
Alexis: Cameron, losing a child is the worst thing that any parent can ever go though.
Cameron: Well, there's no point in dwelling on it. Peter's gone.
Alexis: But Zander isnít. He's here, and he's suffering the same as you, but you're both doing it on your own instead of being able to comfort each other.
Cameron: There's been too much pain and anger; too much we both did wrong.
Alexis: Do you think you could just reach out to him and maybe talk to him? Just talk to him the way you're talking to me?
Cameron: Alexis, I know you mean well, but you don't understand.
Cameron: Well, I did.
Alexis: Then I think there's more to the story than what you've told me.
Courtney: There you go.
Michael: Daddy stays up all night and walks around and around. Doesn't read to me or take me places anymore.
Courtney: Well, I -- I know your dad is upset about some work things right now.
Michael: Daddy's mad because mommy fell through the ice, and it's all my fault.
Courtney: No, Michael that was an accident. Accidents happen all the time. Your dad -- he's happy that you and your mom are ok, and he loves both of you with all of his heart.
Courtney: Michael, your dad -- he needs his family. That's what's going to make him better. So you can't go anywhere, ok, because he'd miss you way too much.
Courtney: Your dad -- he's -- he's not upset with you. And you didn't do anything to make him angry, ok? He's upset with someone else right now.
Michael: I wish I could do something to make him happier.
Courtney: Well, honey, I think it's something that I have to do.
Jason: You and I had a conversation about Faith Rosco.
Jax: Well, I'm not interested in another.
Jax: I told you -- when I'm ready to come after Sonny, I won't be hiding behind some dead mobster's wife to do it.
Jason: Take a look at those. What were you meeting about?
Jax: This is so obviously a setup; I won't even dignify it with a response. Get out of my face.
Jason: Jax, you're about to be pulled into something you don't want any part of, and the only way to stop it is to tell me why you were with Faith.
Ric: I have some information for Sonny. Is he here?
Carly: No, he's with his father -- not that his personal life is any of your business.
Ric: Well, I am his attorney, Carly. I've proven to Sonny that I'm good at my job, and he's beginning to trust me.
Carly: And you're real proud of that, aren't you, Ric?
Ric: Carly, I am sorry for what happened between the two of us. It was a complication I didn't count on.
Carly: Oh, you're a liar. You couldn't wait to use it against me.
Ric: You know, when I saw Sonny in the hospital after you fell through the ice, I realized how devoted he is to you. I mean, he was terrified of losing you and the baby. The desperation on his face, the -- the fear that he might not be able to stop something bad from happening -- I mean, I think that's why he's been so edgy and volatile lately.
Carly: Is that it? What, you're going to threaten to tell Sonny that there might be a slight chance that the baby is not his?
Sammy: You said you had something to discuss that affects us all. You didn't follow protocol, go through established channels. We came out of respect for you because we assume this is a matter of importance and urgency.
Sonny: There's a threat that has to be addressed and eliminated.
Jax: You're the one that came up with this paranoid theory. Now you're manufacturing evidence to support it.
Jason: These photos show you meeting with Faith!
Jax: I was walking along the docks, and she bumped into me.
Jason: What, you just dropped some papers?
Jax: No, she dropped
some papers. I handed them back to her. I mean,
Jason: Well, did you see Faith talking to anybody, anybody leaving here that could have taken the pictures?
Jax: Sorry, I didn't see anyone.
Sonny: You all know Faith Rosco, right? Small-time operator looking to expand her territory. A whore with no principles, no respect.
Faith: Don't listen to him.
Sonny: This tramp will do anything to get what she wants at any cost, and what she wants is to take us down, all of us, starting with me.
Faith: Hey, you threatened me. It's an even playing field.
Sonny: She's working with somebody behind the scenes, a silent partner. Does anybody here know who she's working with?
Man: No idea.
Second man: No.
Faith: It's all me. There's no partner.
Faith: Is this your excuse for trying to kill me now, huh? Did you see what he did, huh? Had one of his people put a bullet in me. So that's Sonny's M.O. now, right -- shoot first, ask questions later.
Sonny: I didn't try to kill her. Her silent partner did.
Faith: Oh, God, you're deluded!
Sonny: You are sloppy. You're violent. You threaten kids and women. You're bad for business.
Faith: Well, I must be doing something right if I'm a threat to the great Sonny Corinthos.
Sonny: You tell me who's backing you. Tell me.
Ric: You know, whatever the paternity of this child is, I know you're going to do what you think is best.
Carly: Yeah, I am.
Ric: Even if you find out that this child is Sonny's and you do wind up telling him about our night together, I hope that would inform me so I'd have the time to, you know --
Carly: What, run for your life?
Ric: And if you find out that the child is mine?
Carly: It's not really a scenario I need to consider.
Ric: Well, I hope not, because this whole thing between the two of us -- it's made you view me as a threat, and I regret that.
Carly: Which is why you're constantly bringing it up?
Carly: Right, because you're so generous and so thoughtful. You are our good friend Ric.
Ric: When are you going to find out who the father is?
Carly: As soon as I can.
Ric: Good. Because I want to resolve this as much as you do.
Ned: I appreciate you trying to be supportive. But if we haven't heard from the kidnappers by now, we never will.
Emily: All right, you don't understand. I know Kristinaís all right. I've seen her.
Ned: Well, where is she?
Emily: I'm sorry. I just -- I can't say.
Ned: Emily, do you have any idea what I've been going through? This is a helpless child, and I've been worried sick about her. And now you're telling me that -- that you knew where she was but you chose not to say anything?
Emily: I only just found out.
Ned: How? Who told you?
Emily: Look, she's safe and she's healthy and everything's all right.
Ned: Ok, Emily, I'm relieved to find out that she's happy and healthy and safe, but you need to tell me now where she is, ok? She needs to come home.
Emily: She will very soon. Look, I'm sorry.
Emily: No -- no, Zander had nothing to do with it.
Ned: Then who?
Alexis: Thanks for bringing the supplies.
Zander: Yeah, no problem.
Alexis: I know this is a difficult day for you.
Zander: You told her?
Cameron: Alexis is my friend. I trust her completely.
Zander: Yeah, she's a friend of mine, too. Probably not anymore now that you told her that I killed my own brother.
Alexis: Zander, it was an accident.
Zander: Oh -- see that, Dad? I guess she didn't buy your version.
Alexis: I'm not taking sides. I'm not. You both have been through a horrible situation.
Zander: Yeah, yeah. My dad lost his firstborn son, the one that he wanted, the one that wasn't a screw up.
Alexis: Do you think maybe you could just give him a chance?
Zander: Like he gave me?
Alexis: It's the anniversary of your brother's death, so obviously there are going to be very difficult feelings that are coming out.
Cameron: Alexis, there's no point in trying.
Zander: You see, Alexis? The shrink doesn't want to talk about his feelings.
Alexis: I think that he needs you as much as you need him.
Zander: Where do you get that?
Zander: No, Alexis, obviously, that is in your head. He pushed me away. He drove me out. He couldn't even look at me. Or didn't he tell you what a cold, hardhearted bastard he was until he drove me out of my own house?
Ned: Then who?
Alexis: I think you're wrong, Zander.
Courtney: Sometimes when parents have grownup problems, we feel like we're in the middle when the truth is we have nothing to do with their problems at all.
Michael: But I want to help daddy.
Courtney: Well, you do every single day just by being yourself. You know, no matter how upset your dad gets about work, he always feels better when he sees you. Things will get better, I promise. You just have to have a little patience.
Courtney: Ok? Your dad will read to you again. He'll do all that stuff with you. Just wait and see, ok?
Courtney: Mm-hmm. So, you're going to tell me how it goes? Yeah?
Courtney: You can come see me anytime you want, Michael.
Michael: So I can play with Rosie?
Courtney: Well, Rosie is over at Mrs. Larosa's right now, who really needs the company, but we will go visit her soon, I promise.
Courtney: Ok. See you later.
Jason: How's Michael?
Courtney: Upset. He knows that something's wrong with Sonny. Michael thinks that it's his fault. I feel terrible for him. I told him that it had nothing to do with him and that his dad was just upset about work things.
Jason: Did he believe you?
Courtney: Kids -- they
know a lot more than we give them credit for. We think we're hiding our
problems, but they notice everything. Anyway, it got me thinking. There's
something we can do, something that's been there all along. I just haven't
wanted to face it. Jason, we
Alexis: Your father is not the cold-hearted person that you think he is.
Zander: Yeah, could have fooled me.
Alexis: He risked his professional life, he -- he risked his entire life trying to make sure that I get to spend mine with my daughter, and I fought him every step of the way. I -- I gave him every excuse to walk away, but he didnít. He stayed there in spite of me.
Zander: Look, Alexis, I'm glad my dad's helped you. The man you're talking about -- I don't know him.
Alexis: Do you realize that you stood there virtually silent the whole time that I was speaking to Zander?
Cameron: I knew you weren't getting through to him.
Alexis: I don't understand how you can help me, help everybody else, but you won't help your own son.
Cameron: It's complicated.
Alexis: No, it's not. It's very simple. He needs you. Go after him.
Courtney: Sonny can't go on like this.
Jason: And you think if we break up, he'll get better?
Jason: Doesn't work that way.
Courtney: After the snowstorm, when Sonny found out that you and I were seeing each other, he felt like you betrayed him.
Jason: Sonny didn't want me putting you in danger.
Courtney: So you stopped seeing me, and Sonny was ok. But then you changed your mind and you came back to me, and he was furious, Jason. He cut you off, told you that he didn't want you working with him anymore. God, things got even worse when I moved in here with you.
Courtney: Jason, you've seen Sonny like this before. I havenít. God, I was shocked to see how unstable he was. Carly told me that you are the only one who has always been able to pull him back from the edge, and she can't understand why -- why you can't get through to him this time, but I know. It's because of me.
Jason: No, it's not because -- it's because Sonny's worried about the baby. He blames himself for Benny. There's all kinds of --
Courtney: Ok, we keep looking for excuses, but we have to be honest. You went against Sonny to be with me, and that made him doubt you. And now he's afraid for his family. He doesn't know who to trust. But, Jason, Sonny has to trust you. And you have to prove to him that he can by breaking up with me.
Courtney: I'm asking you to help my brother.
Jason: No -- no, there's -- there's got to be another way.
Courtney: Jason, think about it. What if Sonny keeps getting worse? What if he -- what if he does something reckless and gets himself or Carly killed? Could you still be happy with me? I mean, could -- could you go on with your life and not blame me or yourself? You already blame yourself, even if you won't admit it. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, but I have to give you up until -- until he gets better.
Jason: No, you can't -- you can't take this on yourself.
Courtney: But if I can help --
Courtney: I just hate to see my brother Ė
Jason: I love you for wanting to help me. But you don't need to leave me.
Jason: Where's Sonny?
Carly: With Mike.
Jason: Why is he here?
Ric: Well, I'm here to see Sonny, Jason. And in the future, I would appreciate it if you would address your comments directly to me.
Jason: Carly, could you --
Carly: Go on upstairs so you could deal with business? No problem. Because the less I know about my former lawyer, the better.
Jason: What'd you do to Carly?
Ric: I don't know what you mean.
Jason: Well, you spent a lot of time sucking up to her. Now Carly hates you. Most people Carly hates have done something to hurt her, Ric.
Ric: Well, I just think it's a testament to your influence on Carly. You know, she absolutely has faith in your instincts. You know, you don't like me, you think I'm a liar and a potential threat, so, of course, Carly does, too. You know what? You should be very proud that you destroyed our friendship.
Ric: Right. Still, with all of your warnings, that hasn't turned Sonny against me. He seems to be trusting me more every day.
Jason: I wouldn't really bet on that. I took your pictures to Jax, and he insists that he wasn't meeting Faith.
Ric: Oh. I see. And what excuse did Jax invent to explain the pictures?
Jason: You don't need to worry about that, Ric.
Ric: Do -- do you honestly think that Jax was going to admit to it?
Jason: Jax told me what he knew.
Ric: Oh. And you're saying that you believe Jax over me?
Jason: Is that a joke?
Carly: That was Mike on the phone. He hasn't seen Sonny an Carly: That was Mike on the phone. He hasn't seen Sonny and he doesn't know where he is. d he doesn't know where he is.
Sonny: These people would like to know who the enemy is.
Faith: You're a hypocrite. You talk about respect. You let him do this to me; he will do this to any one of you.
Sonny: You shot at my sister. You threatened my wife. You're coming after my family. I won't let that happen.
Faith: I'm surprised you'd come to a meeting like this, Sonny, leaving your wife and child all alone.
Michael: Mommy, no!
Carly: Get away! Get out of here! Stop! Stop!
Michael: Mommy! Mommy!
Sonny: You are a bitch.
Sonny: It's happening now. If she -- if she walks out of here alive, you're all going down.
[Alexis hums and the door opens]
Emily: Alexis, I'm so sorry.
Alexis: Emily, what happened?
Emily: I -- I told Ned. He was terrified for his baby. He was afraid he was never going to see her again.
Alexis: So you said --
Emily: That Kristina was all right and that she would be returned soon.
Alexis: Did you tell him that I had her?
Emily: No, I didnít. No, I didnít.
Alexis: Ok. Shh, shh, shh, shh.
Cameron: Alexander, we need to talk.
Zander: Yeah, I'll pass, thanks.
Cameron: Last time we were in woods like this was five years ago on the hunting trip -- you, me, and Pete.
Zander: Ok, look, if Alexis put you up to this --
Cameron: This is about us -- you and me.
Zander: No, this is not about us. Pete's in the middle of this. He always will be.
Cameron: Don't leave.
Zander: Why, huh? So you can throw more blame in my face? Yeah. No, thanks. I don't want to hear it. I'm done.
Cameron: You didn't do
it, Alexander. You didn't kill
Sonny: What happened?
Jason: What's wrong? What's wrong?
Sonny: Why didn't you stop them?
Jason: What are you talking about? Sonny, everything -- Sonny -- Sonny, everything's -- everything's fine. Everything's ok. It's ok. There's --
Michael: Daddy! Daddy!
Jason: No, no, no -- no, no, it's ok.
Carly: It's ok.
Jason: It's ok, it's ok. Michael -- Michael --
Sonny: I -- help me.
Carly: It's ok.
Carly: All right, I'm here. I'm right here. I'm here for you, baby.
Sonny: Honey Ė
Carly: Ok. Ok. Ok. It's ok. It's ok. You're all right. It's ok. It's ok.
On the next "General Hospital" --
Cameron: All these years you've been punishing yourself for a lie. Don't you want to know the truth?
Alexis: Why don't you let me explain, Ned?
Ned: You lied to me. You swore that you didn't take her.
Ric: Why should I trust you?
Faith: You have no other options.
Jason: The darkness passes, Courtney. You canít help Sonny by breaking up with me.
