Edward: Stick to the plans and follow my direction.
Cameron: She has an alternate personality who calls herself Kristina, and I think Kristina may have killed Alcazar.
Sonny: And I want the best for you.
Brenda: Thank you.
Jax: Tomorrow Brenda and I will finally start our life together, and nothing's going to stand in our way.
Ric: Are you all right?
Carly: I'm fine. Sophia, make sure we have extra candles in the back, so when they go out -- I want everything to have lots of candles. I just don't want anything to go wrong tonight, that's all.
Ric: Come on, you're not -- you're not superstitious about the club's past, are you?
Carly: That was decades ago.
Ric: Could you please be a little bit more careful? Get a broom and clean that up. We haven't even opened yet. Look, one bad thing is supposed to go wrong, right? It just happened. From here on out, everything else is going to be terrific, I promise.
Sonny: I kissed Brenda last night. All these months of fighting myself, and I just -- I let it happen again and for no other reason. She was there, and I had to know. You're not going to believe this, but I -- I wanted to be able to kiss Brenda and still love Carly. And I do. You always wanted me to be happy, Lily, and I got to tell you something -- I think I finally am. I don't miss what used to be. I don't ache any more for what I can't have because what I do have, for once, is love. And I got to tell you, it's -- it's not what I expected. It's better. Carly has given me more than I ever wanted in my life. Maybe I should go thank her, huh?
Brenda: Hey, it's you.
Jason: Look, if you asked me here because you're having second thoughts about this whole thing --
Brenda: No, I'm not.
Jason: I just --
Brenda: I'm not having second thoughts. I just asked you here because I wanted to see how you're doing.
Brenda: I also wanted to say thank you for everything.
Jason: Well, you're welcome.
Brenda: See, I know that you say that you only married me to protect Sonny because you convinced yourself I was going to go after him, but I think that you kind of like me.
Jason: No, well, see -- first of all, that's what you told me in the back of the limo that day.
Brenda: I'm just trying to tell you that you don't have to worry about anything. Sonny and I are not going to go after each other. I respect his marriage, and he respects mine.
Jason: So you -- you didn't ask me here to take you away from Jax?
Brenda: No, I'm sorry. Sorry if you're jealous, but Jax is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I'm happy. Saying my vows is going to be the greatest moment of my life.
Jax: Brenda and I would like to say a few words to each other as part of the ceremony.
Minister: I was already planning on it. The service will go smoothly, Mr. Jacks.
Jax: In other words, don't worry?
Jax: Well, I've just -- I've been waiting a long time for this, and I want everything to be perfect.
Jane: It's wonderful to see you all.
Alan: You, too, Jane.
Monica: Yes. Jax must be thrilled you could make it to Port Charles for the wedding.
John: Oh, we wouldn't miss this occasion for the world.
Edward: So, how long are you in town for?
John: Oh, Jane and I are returning to Alaska in the morning.
Edward: Oh, that's too bad.
Alan: Would you excuse us?
Edward: You have to go?
Alan: What the hell are we doing here?
Monica: Well, I am here for Brenda.
Alan: You're here -- you look like you're here for a funeral. You know very well that you wanted Brenda and Jason's marriage to work out.
Monica: Well, is it a crime to want my son to be happy?
Alan: Is it a crime to want Skye to be happy?
Monica: No. You cannot compare Skye to Jason. And besides, the way Jason and Brenda bonded during the trial, I think given time, they would have worked things out.
Alan: Well, I think that Skye and Jax could have worked things out, as well.
Monica: Oh, please. At least Jax isn't stupid. He wised up and got a divorce. Bravo to him.
Woman: Do you have a tissue? Weddings always turn me into a blubbering mess.
Skye: Oh, of course. You know what? Take the whole pack. I don't intend to cry.
Jax: Hey, thanks for coming.
Woman: Hey. Congratulations.
Edward: I see your demon spawn has chosen to join our happy little gathering.
Edward: I cannot believe she would have the audacity to show her face.
Alan: You know, Jax helped Skye on the Alcazar case. It's possible that she has put her feelings aside and she just wants to be happy for him.
Monica: Then she has to be drunk. Obviously, she is here to do some sort of act of sabotage.
Alan: Why must you always assume the worst?
Monica: Until she proves me wrong.
Jax: Excuse me. Hey. What's up?
Skye: Oh. Jax, don't worry. I'm sober. And I'm genuinely sorry for the pain that we've caused each other. No, I've done my share of damage, and I'd really like to put it behind us.
Jax: No, but this isn't the time, okay?
Skye: Look, I -- I will leave if you want, but I'd really like to make amends, you know? And I thought that today would be a good start for me to share the day with you.
Jax: Skye, why put yourself through this?
Skye: Jax, believe it or not, I've always wanted you to be happy. And I wish that for you today.
Alexis: [As Kristina] Hi. Hey. I'm really glad to see you. I've been waiting for you.
Ned: Really? Why?
Alexis: Do I need a reason?
Ned: Alexis, what's going on?
Alexis: I'm glad that you didn't bring your blonde friend with you.
Ned: Is this some kind of joke?
Alexis: No, I'm serious. For you, I will fight fire with fire. You tell me what she does, and I will do it better.
Faith: Tonight is the opening night of Carly's new club. I bet she's all happy and excited -- just like my grandmother was when she opened her speakeasy in the very same location way back in the 1920S. Now, unfortunately, that first opening night ended in disaster. Wouldn't it be a shame if history were to repeat itself?
Ric: Just get back to work and clean that mess up. The club's going to open in a few minutes, all right? Hey, you're not all right, are you?
Carly: It's like you said, you know, it's better to get all the disasters out of the way upfront.
Ric: Okay. Now, Carly, Carly, you've been working on this club for a long time, all right? You've gone over every detail. Look around. It's all going to happen right now. You're standing here all alone. Your mind isn't even on it.
Carly: Why would you care?
Ric: Of course I care. I'm your friend. Why wouldn't I care?
Carly: No, you're not. I hardly know you.
Ric: Carly, we've been working together for a while now.
Carly: Yes, we have been, and you've been very helpful every step of the way. Always with a great idea, an encouraging word. You've been just about perfect.
Ric: That's a problem?
Carly: Yeah, you're too perfect. Ric, you're too helpful, you're too interested, and a lawyer with your credentials has better things to do with his time.
Ric: Carly, I told you before, I believe in you --
Carly: Yeah, you've told me a lot of things, and I bought into it because I wanted to, because I believed in this club and I wanted somebody who believed in it, too, to stand by me. But you know what, Ric? It's too much.
Ric: Carly, why don't you tell me what's wrong.
Ric: Because obviously something's bothering you.
Carly: Yeah, and so if I tell you, what -- what are you going to do, Ric? You going to console me? You going to be the great support that you've always been? Or do you just want to know a little bit more about Sonny's wife?
Ric: Why would I want to do that?
Carly: I don't know, Ric. You tell me.
Ric: Okay. You are way off base here.
Carly: Oh, am I? Because Jason doesn't like you. And he's never wrong.
Carly: And -- I don't know. You made yourself so indispensable to me, Ric. It doesn't add up. Unless you're angling for something.
Ric: You know what? I don't -- I don't -- I don't know what I have said or done to make you think this way. This really isn't --
Carly: Do you want to know who you sound like, Ric? You sound like me when I first moved to town because I lied to everybody I met. I pretended I was sweet. I pretended I was helpful. And the whole time, I had an agenda. Is any of this sounding familiar to you?
Ric: Okay, right, obviously something happened to set you off because this has nothing to do with me.
Carly: No, it has everything to do with you. Took me a little bit of time to figure it out, and now I see beyond all the charming, smooth exterior. I sure wish Sonny was going to still be around because I would tell him exactly what I think.
Ric: Carly, will you please --
Carly: You know what, Ric? Get moving because we are open for business.
Jason: Well, thanks for inviting me to the wedding.
Brenda: I didn't think you'd actually come.
Jason: I'm not. I just wanted to see what it was you needed and to tell you that if this is what you want, then I'm happy for you.
Brenda: Hey. Look.
Jax: What's up, Jason?
Brenda: My ex came to wish us luck. Isn't that nice?
Jax: Yeah, Brenda told me she invited you to the wedding.
Jason: Yeah, I won't be able to stay.
Jax: I guess you'll be heading over to Carly's new club opening.
Brenda: Well, thanks for stopping by.
Jax: And thanks for letting me push that annulment through. If it wasn't for that, Brenda and I wouldn't be getting married today.
Jason: I guess it all worked out.
Jax: Yeah, it did.
Jason: Take care.
Elton: Oh, my God. Look at you. You're not even dressed yet. Well, hurry up, darling. It's time. We haven't a moment to lose. Come on. Chop, chop.
Brenda: Oh, look!
Elton: Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Jacks, but it's really inappropriate for the groom to see the bride before the ceremony.
Jax: Well, it's too late because --
Elton: Well, we really must stand on some kind of decorum. It's a very special day --
Jax: We'll be down there in a minute. Thank you very much, Elton.
Brenda: Why are you calm? Because you just seem calm to me.
Jax: Because this is it, right?
Brenda: Well, why aren't you a little nervous?
Jax: We're getting married.
Brenda: Shouldn't you be nervous? I mean, this is such a big deal, you know? What if I -- what if I trip on my dress?
Jax: You won't trip.
Brenda: What if I forget my lines, even though I have them written down? What if I pass out because I forgot to eat damn lunch today because I was so nervous? Oh, I need a snack.
Jax: Okay. Last chance to back out.
Brenda: You, too.
Brenda: Yeah. Personally, I've never been more certain of anything in my life. Unless --
Jax: Unless what?
Brenda: Well, I'm just saying, you don't have any hidden ex-wives that are going to possibly show up at the wedding, right? Or any deep, dark mysteries I should know about? No little surprises that might possibly pop up?
Jax: I thought you liked surprises.
Brenda: Not today, though.
Jax: I don't have any secrets. What about you? Is there anything that you want to tell me?
Brenda: I will tell you anything you want to know.
Jax: Well, I guess there's nothing stopping us.
Alan: I didn't expect to see you here.
Skye: Well, it seems no one did.
Alan: If you're here with good intentions, wonderful. But if you're here to do something outrageous during the course of the ceremony, I think it'd be better if you left.
Skye: Daddy, it's okay. I'm just trying to practice what they preach at A.A., trying to make up for all the damage that I've caused. I should think that you of all people would get that.
Alan: There are better ways to make amends, Skye.
Skye: Well, it's not going to be easy. I mean, you know, in fact, I -- I'm not even sure that I can go through with it.
Alan: Well, then maybe you better spare yourself the sight of Brenda and Jax together.
Skye: Oh, I've thought about it a lot. I have to give it a try.
Ned: You know, I have no idea who you are anymore.
Alexis: [As Kristina] Okay, why don't we go someplace else, and we can talk about it.
Elton: Ah. Everybody to the Versailles room, please. The ceremony's about to begin.
Ned: Elton, I'll be right there.
Elton: Oh, no, no, no, Mr. Ashton. I'm sorry. We haven't a moment to spare. The bride is eagerly awaiting to be escorted down the aisle. Excuse us, won't you? Come along.
Cameron: Wrong way. You're coming with me, Kristina.
Courtney: Hey. Sorry I'm late.
Ric: That's all right. You're just in time. Club's just about to open.
Courtney: What's Carly doing over there?
Ric: I have no idea.
Courtney: Is she okay?
Ric: I don't think so, but when I asked her about it, she shot me down. Maybe you'll have better luck.
Courtney: You're upset.
Carly: It's that obvious?
Courtney: Did something happen with Jason?
Carly: Try Sonny.
Courtney: You guys had an argument?
Carly: Oh, no. Much worse. He's gone back to Brenda.
Courtney: Carly, that's impossible.
Carly: No, it's inevitable.
Courtney: Okay, Carly, look, I don't know what you heard, but there's no way --
Carly: I saw it, Courtney. I saw it with my own eyes. They were standing there on the docks. They were holding each other, and they were kissing like they were the only two people who existed in this world.
Courtney: No. I just -- I don't believe it.
Carly: Brenda's probably already called off her wedding to Jax.
Courtney: Well, why would they do this? Why would she plan to marry Jax if she wasn't in love with him?
Carly: She is. She just loves Sonny more. She certainly played this one down to the wire, though, didn't she? Trying to get a response out of Sonny? She got one. He probably couldn't stand that she was actually going to marry Jax. So he didn't want it to happen and he took care of it last night.
Courtney: Carly, it is so obvious how much Sonny loves you. Come on, you can see it in his eyes and the way he treats you.
Carly: Sonny wanted our marriage to work. But Brenda is something he tried to fight and finally he just couldn't resist.
Courtney: I'm sorry, but I just don't see it.
Carly: He lied to me. He lied to himself. Brenda's like this force of nature for him, okay? It doesn't matter how awful she is to him or how clingy or neurotic or how much she tells him she hates him and she wants Jax. There is this -- this hold that they have on each other. There's nothing I can do to stop it.
Courtney: You can fight for him.
Carly: You know how long I've been fighting and how much it hurts? I'm not fighting for him. If he wants to be somewhere else, I'm not -- no, Brenda wins.
Courtney: Hey, why don't you just try and talk to Sonny? I am sure that he has a good explanation.
Carly: Sonny will come to me, sooner or later, and he will -- he will be polite and he will tell me that he couldn't help himself and he will promise to take care of me for the rest of my life. He'll give me all of the money that I could ever need. And then he's going to tell me how they had history between them and he couldn't fight it and that he is in love with Brenda.
Courtney: Hey --
Carly: There's people coming now, Courtney. You're the hostess. Go. Go.
Courtney: No, I don't want to leave you like this.
Carly: You know what? I'm going to be fine. I'll just pull myself together. Go. People are here for a good time. Please.
Sonny: Hey. Hey. Come here.
Sonny: Can we spend some time alone? There's something I need to tell you.
A.J.: You looking for someone?
Alan: I'm looking for Skye.
A.J.: Yeah. Have you seen her? Is she here?
Alan: I talked to her before. She's sober. She wants to make amends.
A.J.: She's not here now.
Alan: Well, she knew it was going to be tough. Maybe she just decided to leave.
A.J.: I hope you're right.
Minister: Please be seated. Dearly beloved, we have come together in the presence of God to witness and bless the joining together of this man and this woman in holy matrimony. The union of husband and wife in heart, body, and mind is intended by God for their mutual joy, for the help and comfort given one another in prosperity and adversity. Marriage is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, deliberately, and in accordance with the purposes for which it was instituted by God. Into this union, Brenda Barrett and Jasper Jacks now come to be joined. If any of you can show just cause why they should not lawfully be married, speak now or else forever hold your peace.
[Brenda laughs, sniffles]
Minister: Jax and Brenda will now say their own vows.
Brenda: Oh. Um -- you've always known that we belonged together, from the very beginning. But, see, I'm not as smart as you. So, I'm sorry it took me awhile to wise up. Our love has just -- it's been through so many tests --
Brenda: From us being separated, from other people in our lives, but we've always ended up back together because, see, you're my family. You're my safe place. And I want to be that for you, too, and I don't regret anything that's happened in my life because it's all brought me back to this moment with you. You are my strength, you're my comfort. You are my best friend. You are my love.
Brenda: And on this day, I promise with all of my heart to be all of those things to you forever.
Jax: I -- I wrote down a bunch of words. I struggled with what to say, but none of them seemed quite right, so I'm just going to speak from my heart.
Alexis: [As Kristina] Guess what -- you can let go of my arm now. Thank you.
Cameron: We have a few things to clear up.
Alexis: Well, you know what? We're going to have to do it later because I'm expected at a wedding.
Cameron: Jax invited Alexis, not Kristina.
Alexis: Oh, aren't you the clever one.
Cameron: Ned didn't recognize the woman coming on to him because it wasn't Alexis. Alexis hasn't been here all day. In fact, I'm beginning to think Kristina's taking over.
Alexis: You know, I would appreciate it very much if you would stop listening to my private conversations. Excuse me.
Cameron: Well, I'm trying to help you.
Alexis: Are you? Or did you sort of get a little turned on when you heard me flirting with Ned and so you brought me here because you thought maybe you could have a little time with me alone yourself?
Cameron: It would be a perfect opportunity for it because Alexis wouldn't remember a thing when she woke up. Isn't that right, Kristina?
Alexis: Oops -- you got me, Dr. Feelgood. You were right. It's me.
Cameron: I'm glad we have a chance to talk. Mind if I ask a few questions?
Alexis: I'm not going anywhere.
Cameron: Until Alexis returns.
Alexis: Alexis is gone. And she may never come back.
Sonny: Where you been all day?
Carly: I've been here since 5:00 in the morning getting ready for the opening. There were a few last-minute crises.
Sonny: Well, it looked like it all worked out for you.
Carly: Yeah, well, there's still a few glitches. I'll be back.
Sonny: No, no, no, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Let Ric handle it. This cannot wait.
Carly: I need 10 minutes, okay?
Sonny: No, no, no --
Carly: I got things to --
Sonny: Something -- something happened last night, and I need to tell you about it.
Ric: Excuse me. May I have your attention, please, ladies and gentlemen? Thank you for coming. I would like to welcome you all to the grand opening of The Cellar.
Ric: You are all here -- you are all here thanks to the talent and the vision of one particular lady -- the owner, Mrs. Carly Corinthos.
Carly: Welcome to The Cellar. I would like to introduce a few people who were instrumental in getting this place started. First, Ric Lansing for helping me get the club together. And to my friends and family, who have always supported me. And last but not least, to my husband, my generous and loving husband, Sonny Corinthos, who has stood behind me every step of the way. Enjoy yourselves, everyone.
Ric: All right. Have a wonderful time. First round is on the house.
Sonny: Jason? It's not a good idea for you to be here.
Jason: I'm here for Carly. I'm staying.
Sonny: I'm just -- I'm telling you as a friend that you shouldn't be here.
Jason: This is important to Carly. She asked me to be here. I'm not going to walk out on her on opening night.
Faith: What's the matter? Can't a girl get a drink around here?
Ric: I'm sorry, Mrs. Rosco, but we're full up.
Faith: I don't have patience for this. Move aside.
Ric: No, please, don't cause a problem.
Sonny: Hey, Ric, move. I'll get it. I'll take care of this.
Ric: Be my guest.
Faith: Well, look who's come to welcome me.
Sonny: Good night, Faith.
Faith: I have a particular interest in being here. You know, the place used to belong to my grandmother.
Sonny: Well, that's history, and so are you.
Faith: What's the matter, Sonny, do I look armed and dangerous to you?
Sonny: No, you know what you look like? A small-time player running a bluff. You run a small-time operation, and you have a very, very big mouth. Now, either you leave or I will have you thrown out.
Faith: Do you want your patrons to see your muscle strong-arming a lady?
Sonny: What lady?
Faith: Well, this club has a lousy track record for opening nights. Think about it, Sonny.
Courtney: Hey, whoa, whoa.
Courtney: You're not leaving, are you?
Carly: Yeah. I can't stay.
Courtney: Carly, this is your big night.
Carly: Yeah, well, Sonny wants to talk to me. He said it's about something that happened last night, so --
Courtney: So let him talk to you.
Carly: Look, I know that I should just get it over with because if he is going to leave me, he is going to do it whether or not he tells me right now or later, but I canít. I can't deal with this tonight, Courtney.
Courtney: You don't know that's what he's going to say. Come on.
Carly: Yes, I do. And I don't want to hear it right now.
Ric: What was that all about?
Courtney: Carly just needed some air.
Ric: Well, did she tell you why she was upset?
Courtney: You know, I -- I think it's about something private.
Ric: Okay. I'll see you out front.
Jason: If it's easier for you, I'll just -- I'll leave.
Courtney: That's the last thing I want.
Faith: Whoa. Grand opening not going as well as you'd hoped?
Carly: Get the hell out of my way.
Faith: It's your party. You can cry if you want to. Follow her. Give Mrs. Corinthos a night to remember.
Alexis: [As Kristina] You look worried. Why should you care if Alexis never comes back?
Cameron: I miss her.
Alexis: Did you have a thing for my older sister?
Cameron: We're friends.
Alexis: Well, you know, sometimes that's where it starts.
Cameron: Being awfully candid today, aren't we?
Alexis: I just figured this was the best way to get the interrogation over. What do you think?
Cameron: Good point. How did you feel about Luis Alcazar?
Alexis: I thought he was a brutal, heartless, conscienceless killer who took my life away. How do you think I felt?
Cameron: He was murdered. Would you call that bad karma?
Alexis: The karmic pendulum couldn't swing fast enough at that man.
Alexis: Meaning someone had to set it right.
Cameron: You sound like you feel he deserved to fall 13 stories to his death.
Cameron: That if he hadn't been stopped, others would have been hurt.
Cameron: And that whoever stopped him was completely justified.
Alexis: I was completely justified. Bingo, Dr. Feelgood. You're right. I admit it. I killed him.
Jax: We stand here before God about to say our vows to each other. And I can't help but marvel at all the things we've been through to get here -- the sacrifices we made, the people we hurt, the danger and struggles we've endured. Now we're ready to start the next chapter of our lives and a future that will take us places we can't even imagine.
Minister: The rings?
Alexis: [As Kristina] I just told you that I killed Alcazar. Why aren't you shocked?
Cameron: Because I'm not surprised.
Alexis: Oh, that's right. You already had it all figured out. So what next? You going to have me committed or sent to prison?
Cameron: Which would you prefer?
Alexis: To be given an award for my service to humanity.
Cameron: Courts don't work that way.
Alexis: Then if it's all right with you, I would like to take Alexis' baby home and raise my niece to be a strong, confident young woman.
Cameron: There's just one problem -- you're not Kristina.
Alexis: This is where you're confused.
Cameron: I know you can't understand this right now --
Alexis: I was the one who met Ric on the dock. I knew that Alexis would never want anyone to pay for a crime that they didn't commit.
Cameron: So you realized --
Alexis: I was the one who stabbed him. I was the one who pushed him over the balcony. I was the one who killed him. In fact, I did it with a knife that kind of looks something like this. See?
Alexis: The way that I see it, we just have two choices here. Either you keep the secret or the secret dies here.
Sonny: Jason? Did you see -- did you see Carly?
Jason: She was with Courtney a few minutes ago.
Sonny: She was but -- she knew I had to talk to her about something, and she disappeared. I think something's wrong.
Man: Can I buy you a drink?
Carly: Do you know who I am?
Man: You're a beautiful lady alone at a bar.
Carly: No, I'm Mrs. Sonny Corinthos. And if my husband knew you were buying me a drink, you'd be sleeping at the bottom of the river.
Man: Get a vodka on ice?
Carly: Hey, can I have some more nuts? Happy Valentineís Day.
Minister: Brenda, will you take this man to be your husband, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?
Brenda: I will.
Minister: Jax, will you take this woman to be your wife, to live together in the covenant of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honor and keep her in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Jax: I know that you were kissing Sonny last night on the pier.
Courtney: He's been cheating on Carly? God, you are such a hypocrite.
Man: You ever hear the expression "turnabout is fair play"?
Alexis: [As Kristina] I have to protect the baby, which is why I have to get rid of you!
