Lucky: I would have never done this if I would have known that you were going to treat me like I was just some john.

Alexis: Multiple personalities.

Cameron: If you prefer.

Alexis: Well, that's just absurd.

Courtney: He's being a controlling jerk.

Carly: He's trying to protect the people he cares about.

Sonny: If Courtney dies because of you, you'll be carrying it forever. Don't take that chance. Walk away.

Alexis: You look this over, and I'll be right back.

Skye: Oh, sure. Yeah.

Skye: You?

Felicia: Skye, I'm glad I caught you. Have you remembered any more details about the woman you saw the night that Alcazar was murdered? Any details at all? If her hair was curly, if her hair was straight? Her physique, her build, how big her shoulders were?

Alexis: Hi, Felicia. How are you?

Felicia: I'm fine, thank you. Oh, I don't know if you know, but Jax hired me to find the woman that murdered Alcazar so Skye could be cleared.

Alexis: Any new leads?

Felicia: I'm following up on the woman that Skye saw the night that Alcazar was murdered, and I was just asking her if she remembered anything more.

Lesley Lu: Mommy, I knew you'd come home.

Luke: No, lulu, this isn't your mommy. This is a friend of mine. This is Summer.

Summer: Hi. Nice to meet you. I bet you thought I was your mommy because I've got long blonde hair like your mommy does?

Lesley Lu: I used to brush it. I miss her.

Summer: Well, I wish I could help.

Elizabeth: It's -- it's cold out here. Why don't we go back up to your room and we can warm up?

Ric: Yeah, that's the best offer I've had in a long time.

Elizabeth: Then come on. We can just -- we can relax. We can listen to some music --

Ric: Elizabeth, Elizabeth -- I am -- I'm incredibly flattered, but I know what this is about and I just -- I don't think I can take advantage of the situation.

Elizabeth: You're -- you're turning me down?

Ric: Because you don't mean it. I wish that you did.

Jason: You need to listen to me.

Courtney: Okay, well, we'll talk on the way to the loft. You need to lie down and rest.

Jason: I -- I can't see you anymore.

Courtney: Sonny must have gone crazy when you told him about us --

Jason: I won't be going back to the loft or spending time together. It's just best that we don't -- we don't see each other at all.

Carly: How can you look at Jason in the eye and ask him to give up his chance at happiness?

Sonny: I don't want Courtney risking her life.

Carly: Don't make this all about Courtney.

Sonny: Well --

Carly: Jason has always done everything that you have ever asked him to. So you know what? If he is dangerous, it's because you made him that way. And now you're telling him he can't have love in his life?

Sonny: Jason's always known. This life comes with a price.

Carly: Oh, has he?

Sonny: Yes, he has.

Carly: Are you sure? Maybe he thought that someday he could have a family like you do.

Sonny: I don't know.

Carly: Sonny, you and I are together because we betrayed Jason. Somehow he found a way to forgive that. He's always put your happiness ahead of his own. It's your turn now, sweetie. You owe him.

Sonny: You think I'm proud of myself, Carly? You think this is easy for me? It's killing me!

Skye: I've told you all that I know. There was a woman -- dark hair, dark coat, jeans -- and I'm sure that that piece of black material the police found is probably from her coat. I've tried to remember more details, but I'm afraid that's the best I can do.

Felicia: All right. Then I'll check the surveillance tapes at the hotel and then crosscheck Alcazar's business contacts.

Skye: Oh, you know, I could help you with that legwork.

Felicia: That's all right.

Skye: Oh, Felicia, you must have a ton to do, and I know Alexis would probably rather be here with her baby instead of dealing with all this tedious stuff.

Felicia: I appreciate the offer, but I can handle it.

Skye: Okay.

Alexis: You let me know if you remember anything else.

Skye: Oh, absolutely, I will.

Alexis: We should go over the transcripts. Do you have a minute?

Skye: You know what? I really need to get to an A.A. meeting. Could we maybe do this tomorrow?

Summer: Did you draw this picture here on your daddy's shelf?

Lesley Lu: Yes.

Summer: Really? Wow. It's wonderful. You're a very good artist.

Lesley Lu: That's what Mommy says.

Summer: She must be very proud of you.

Lesley Lu: It's a polar bear.

Summer: It is a polar bear eating ice cream. Mint chocolate chip? That's my favorite. Maybe we could go get some ice cream together sometime. What do you think?

Lesley Lu: Can I, Daddy?

Luke: We'll talk about it. Right now I need to get you home to Grandma Lesley because she's -- she's been worried. So say bye.

Lesley Lu: Bye, Summer.

Summer: Good-bye, Lulu. I hope to see you again soon.

Luke: I won't be long. Can you wait here?

Summer: Uh-huh.

Elizabeth: This is really embarrassing.

Ric: No, let's not confuse the issue here. I would like nothing more than to go upstairs with you right now, Elizabeth, but I just don't think that this is about me.

Elizabeth: Yeah. Yeah, you're right. Not that I feel any less stupid.

Ric: I know, I know. It's about Jason, isn't it?

Elizabeth: Him, Lucky. It's just hitting me that all my ex-boyfriends are happily riding off into the sunset with these other women. I'm happy for Lucky. Really, I am. We're good friends now, and I hope that we're friends forever, but losing him really hurt. And it still does with Jason.

Ric: You feel like doing something about it, huh?

Elizabeth: Okay, will you stop being so nice? You make me feel like more of an idiot.

Ric: Don't, all right? Listen, I -- I had ulterior motives for turning you down.

Elizabeth: Like what?

Ric: Well, you did come to me because you were hurt, not because you thought I was incredibly irresistible, right?

Elizabeth: Well, I wouldn't put it quite so bluntly.

Ric: Okay, sure. Look, we could go back to my room, but you would definitely regret it. Just about the time you'd be thinking to yourself, "I hope I never see that guy again," that's when I would start thinking to myself, "Boy, I can't wait to see her." I just want to take it slow. I don't want to risk losing you before we even get started.

Elizabeth: Well, I don't know whether to thank you or die on the spot.

Ric: Don't do either. Why don't you let me walk you home?

Elizabeth: That's a good compromise.

Ric: Come on. Show me the way.

Sonny: I know I'm responsible. I taught Jason everything he knows. That's why he can't be with Courtney. Asking him to give her up was one of the toughest things I've ever had to do.

Courtney: Sonny, you have a wife and a family. It's not your life that's changing. It's Jason's. And if you ask him to give up his love, it's going to hurt him terribly.

Sonny: Yeah, but you know what? She's going to still be alive and have a great life ahead of her.

Carly: Maybe, maybe not. Things happen every day. It's dangerous to walk across the street. There's a danger in that.

Sonny: What are the odds? One out of how many people? Jason and I are in danger every day.

Carly: Yeah, and you still married me.

Sonny: Yeah, but you know what? I didn't want to, remember? I tried not to.

Carly: Yeah.

Sonny: Right. And you said didn't matter because you could handle it.

Carly: That's right, and I still feel that way. It is worth it to me, Sonny, because I am happy right where I am and I would not change places with anybody. Maybe Courtney feels the same way about Jason.

Sonny: Courtney just moved to Port Charles a year ago. She just got together with Jason. Nothing's set in stone. She can make other choices, go down another path. I mean, come on.

Carly: She doesn't want that. What if she doesn't, Sonny?

Sonny: I told you already. She can go to college. She can get a degree, have a nice career. Instead of waiting on tables, she can meet a man who maybe will have a regular job, can give her security and safety. Jason wants that, too.

Carly: Courtney can meet a thousand men -- a thousand men. They could be white-collar types, Ivy League types, medical students, lawyers. I don't care. No one is going to hold a candle to Jason.

Sonny: You don't know that.

Carly: Yes, I do.

Sonny: You don't know that.

Carly: Don't you think he's special?

Sonny: To us he's special, yes!

Carly: Sonny, just stop it, stop it! This is nothing -- this is all about your need to control Courtney's life. Admit it.

Sonny: Yes, it is, damn it! Because I don't want her going down that road if I know what's going to be at the end!

Carly: You don't know. You have no idea because this is not your choice to make. It is Courtney's choice. And you know what? The only reason you have a say in this is because you are going to use Jason's loyalty against him.

Sonny: I told -- I told Jason the truth -- that he's too dangerous. I didn't order him to give her up. I didn't have to because he knows what's best for her. He's going to do that on his own.

Carly: You know what? Jason has been loyal to you for so long that you can't even appreciate it anymore. Finally he finds happiness in his life and something he needs and something he wants, and what do you do? You make him choose because you know damn well he is never, ever going to fail you. You know what, Sonny? That is betrayal. I don't care how it makes you feel and I don't care what you want to call it. You just betrayed your best friend. Think about it.

[Door slams]

Courtney: I was hoping Sonny wouldn't do this.

Jason: It's my decision.

Courtney: He's forcing it on you, Jason. He's making you choose between him and me, and it's not fair.

Jason: Sonny doesn't make me do anything.

Courtney: But suddenly, out of the blue, you just want us to be over?

Jason: I should have never let it get as far as it did.

Courtney: Donít. Don't pretend that's what you want. Come on. You and I -- we'll go to Sonny together, and we will make him understand --

Jason: You need -- you need --

Jason: To understand that I'm -- that I'm done.

Courtney: No, those are Sonny's words. Jason, you told me that you love me. That doesn't just disappear. Do you just think that you have to do everything that he tells you to prove your loyalty to him?

Jason: Just let it go.

Courtney: No. You put your trust in me. You let me get close to you.

Jason: Stop. Just stop pushing --

Courtney: Why? Do you want me to just pretend that it meant nothing, that it never happened? That you never helped me? We never spent Christmas together? We never met in secret at our loft and listened to each other and planned all the things we -- you just want me to pretend that it meant nothing, Jason?

Jason: Just -- I need you to understand that --

Courtney: No, I understand. I understand what you do, and I accept it. I want to be a part of your life. How can you just throw that away?

Jason: It doesn't matter.

Courtney: It does matter, Jason. You love me, and now you're so determined to end what we have. But you know what? In a day or maybe even a week, it is going to come crashing in on you, and you are going to feel the pain and the loss and wonder if it could possibly be worth it.

Jason: I got to go.

Courtney: Just first be honest with me. Did Sonny tell you it had to end?

Jason: Sonny said what I already knew -- you stay with me, you're going to get hurt. There's no way around that. I can't let that happen.

Courtney: No, you don't mean that. Tell me you don't love me. You can't do it, can you? Say it. I want to hear you say it.

Jason: Good-bye.

Skye: Hey, Felicia -- thanks for coming.

Felicia: You wanted me to meet with someone?

Skye: Yeah, me. I have some new information.

Felicia: Okay. What is it?

Skye: Well, I remembered more about that woman who was seen running out of Alcazar's suite, and I think you're not going to believe this, but I think it may have been Alexis.

Felicia: Did you see her face?

Skye: Well, quickly, in profile.

Felicia: Could you be wrong about this?

Skye: Possibly. But I honestly think that it was her.

Felicia: This just seems incredible.

Skye: Well, maybe not. I mean, Alexis hated Alcazar. She blamed him for the death of her sister.

Felicia: And he left her lying in the snow when she was in labor.

Skye: It makes perfect sense that Alexis would kill Alcazar. I mean, when Jax confessed, she rushed to his side to represent him even though her baby was still in neonatal I.C.U. and then again when Jason and Brenda were charged with the murder, she represented them. And when the guilty verdict came out, she could have been the one that provided that evidence to the police that cleared them without giving herself up.

Felicia: She was the first one to see the body in the alley.

Skye: But now she's agreed to represent me, which is a perfect way for her to keep covering her tracks. I can't believe this, Felicia. I think my lawyer is the killer. What am I going to do?

Felicia: Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Before we implicate Alexis, we have to be sure.

Alexis: Did you get the test results back?

Cameron: Yeah, I was just with the technician. We went over the scans thoroughly.

Alexis: And?

Cameron: There's no sign of any abnormality in your brain. In other words, Alexis, there's no physical reason for your behavior.

Alexis: I'll speak to the neurologist myself.

Cameron: He'll tell you the same thing.

Alexis: That may be the case, but I would like to speak to him myself. This is not your area of expertise.

Cameron: Alexis, I've seen hundreds of these scans.

Alexis: I understand that.

Cameron: You know, most people would be thrilled to find out that there's nothing wrong with them, but your need to be in control is so strong, you'd actually prefer a physical reason, wouldn't you?

Alexis: Do you really think that this line of therapy is helping me right now? Do you think that speaking to me this way at this particular time is what I need?

Cameron: No, but what you need is to face reality, Alexis. Now, the answer as to why you've been assuming your sister's personality won't be found in an x-ray or any other medical test. If, as I suspect, you have this dissociative disorder, you're going to have to find the courage to face it and go through therapy -- if not for yourself, then for the good of your daughter.

[Knock on door]

Man: Ric Lansing is here on business. I'll be downstairs if you need me.

Ric: Well, I brought some information on colleges for Courtney to look over. Some of the deadlines are past, but I can make some calls to the admissions offices.

Sonny: Just go ahead and leave them because I don't think Courtney's going to be very receptive right now.

Ric: Give her time.

Sonny: You think so?

Ric: Well, yeah, you're -- you're a concerned older brother trying to protect your sister. I'm sure she doesn't see that right now, but -- I'm sure Jason doesn't, either. But you know what? I have a feeling that they both will. You know, Sonny, if I were Jason right about now, I'm sure I'd be pretty upset. But once -- once I had a chance to calm down and see everything clearly, I think I'd be grateful.

Sonny: Okay, first of all, you're not Jason. You are a smarmy suck-up selling a line of bull I can see coming a mile away.

Courtney: I don't care what the rules are. I have to leave now.

Nurse: Dr. Jones wanted you to stay overnight.

Courtney: Just get the papers, okay? I'm just going to leave, anyway.

Nurse: I'll be back with the forms.

Courtney: Fine. Great.

Carly: You might want to cool down before you head out of here.

Courtney: You know what, Carly? If you're here to tell me to accept this or just give up on Jason because it's for the best and Sonny's just trying to protect me, you can just save your breath, okay?

Carly: Jason broke up with you?

Courtney: No, no, no. Jason did what Sonny told him to do. But I wonít. Sonny is wrong on this, and Jason and I -- we're going to be together no matter what.

Brenda: Hey.

Brenda: You okay?

Brenda: Can I do something? You look bad.

Jason: No, thanks.

Brenda: You know, you shouldn't have checked yourself out of the hospital. You should probably rest so you can heal --

Jason: Brenda, what do you want?

Brenda: Um -- it's just that Jax wants to get married right away, so --

Jason: Why?

Brenda: I don't know. He's rushing me. It's kind of scaring me --

Jason: You should tell him that.

Brenda: I tried telling him, but it doesn't matter. I'm probably just being paranoid. It's probably just my stupid fear of happiness.

Jason: Look, Jax is dependable. He's safe. No one's trying to kill you. The only thing stopping you, Brenda, is you. You know that, right?

Brenda: Yeah, I know. You're right. You okay?

Jason: Yeah, I'm fine.

Brenda: You don't look like you're fine. Something happened.

Brenda: Did you break up with Courtney?

Jason: Do you want me to sign the papers or not?

[Door opens]

Jax: I heard you checked yourself out of the hospital. I think it's time you sign these and they end your marriage to Brenda.

Felicia: Skye is almost certain that Alexis is the woman she saw the night of the murder. You don't seem very surprised by that. Do you think that Alexis murdered Alcazar?

Cameron: It's possible, but she may not remember doing it.

Felicia: What's that supposed to mean?

Cameron: Well, I can't tell you.

Felicia: Is Alexis a patient of yours?

Cameron: Let's just say I've been privy to some confidential information.

Felicia: But if this information has proof that Alexis murdered Alcazar, you're going to have to come forward and tell the police about it.

Cameron: No, I don't have any proof. I'm just trying to piece together what happened that night.

Felicia: Well, if there's anything I can do to help you --

Cameron: What about Alexis' childhood? Did she suffer any serious emotional trauma?

Felicia: Probably. After all, she is a Cassadine.

Cameron: Felicia, I need some time. Can you stall the investigation?

Felicia: Stall it?

Cameron: Slow it down until I find out what's going on with Alexis.

Felicia: Well, my obligation is to Skye. I'm supposed to prove that she's innocent.

Cameron: Yeah, I want that, too, but not at the expense of Alexis. This could ruin her life.

Felicia: Well, if she's guilty --

Cameron: If she's guilty, she could lose her child. As a mother yourself, I'm sure you know what that could be like.

Felicia: I didn't commit murder.

Cameron: Felicia, I may be able to help Alexis. Now, I know what it's like to lose a child. I don't want her to suffer the same loss.

Felicia: This sounds personal.

Cameron: Yeah. So if you could just sort of sidetrack the investigation until we're sure, I'd appreciate it. Alexis needs all the time we can give her.

Ric: Next time I'll remember not to offer my opinion about Jason.

Sonny: Let's get something straight here, hmm? Occasionally you've been useful to me, and Carly needs your help for the club. I will pay you nicely for your services. But you are hired help. I don't want your friendship. I don't want your advice. Stop sucking up. Stop dropping by with lame, transparent excuses, because it wastes my time. It insults my intelligence. There are a lot of young hotshot lawyers out there where you come from -- yeah -- and you can be replaced -- like that. Am I clear?

Ric: Perfectly.

Sonny: Good. Get the hell out of here.

Jax: Just sign them. You've been using your marriage to Brenda as a way to whitewash your mobster image while the D.A.'s been breathing down your neck, but that's over now and we want to move on.

Jason: I'm not doing this tonight.

Jax: It's just one signature.

Brenda: Jax --

Jason: Like I said, I'm not signing.

Brenda: Listen, if -- if you're feeling up to it -- I mean, if you really want to sign it, you can go ahead and do it.

Jason: Are you sure?

Brenda: Yeah. You're right. The only person standing in my way is me. I'm going to go ahead and take that chance that someone might actually love me forever.

Jax: Thanks. Shall we go?

Brenda: I'll meet you outside.

Jax: Okay.

Brenda: I'll be right out.

Brenda: I know you don't want to talk.

Jason: There's nothing left to say.

Brenda: I know. I just -- I just want you to know --

Jason: Brenda, please, I don't really want to hear this.

Brenda: That if you did break up with Courtney, I know that she must be really upset, and then that must be killing you, and that she thinks that she's lost everything. You're a good man. You know, you could always take off and leave this stupid business and have a few Jason Juniors with that girl.

Jason: Can't happen.

Brenda: How do you know unless you try?

Jason: Good night, Brenda.

Brenda: I just want you to know that if you did leave her and you know in your heart that there's no way you could walk away from this business, you really, really did the right thing.

Brenda: Call me if you need anything.

Carly: Courtney, I know that you're hurt, but --

Courtney: Try angry, Carly. Sonny doesn't care about anyone but himself. I mean, who cares if his orders make other people miserable?

Carly: He's not trying to make you unhappy.

Courtney: So, what, am I just supposed to thank Sonny for his kindness and consideration in ordering Jason out of my life?

Carly: He is honestly trying to protect you. And he's trying to keep Jason from feeling the hell of responsibility if something were to happen to you.

Courtney: No. Sonny is trying to run my life, just like he has from the beginning.

Carly: He wants what's best for you, Courtney.

Courtney: Do you believe that I love Jason?

Carly: Yes, I believe that you do.

Courtney: Okay. Well, do you believe that Jason loves me?

Carly: That I know he does.

Courtney: Then, Carly, stop trying to talk me out of this. Stop asking me to give up Jason because Sonny is against it.

Carly: Okay. You're right. You want to be with Jason, you deserve to be with him.

Courtney: So how do I convince Sonny?

Carly: You canít. You canít. There's no middle ground with him.

Courtney: Well, I'm not giving up.

Carly: Good. You fight for Jason. You fight for him with everything that you have.

Luke: Summer, what was that act you were pulling with my daughter?

Summer: I was being friendly.

Luke: You ask her out for ice cream. You went on and on about what a great artist she is. She talked about you the whole way home. She's going to paint you a picture.

Summer: That's sweet.

Luke: Look, Summer, my daughter is very confused and she's vulnerable. She misses her mother. You are not Laura and you never will be. You and I play a game sometimes where you impersonate my wife, but that's for me, not for my daughter.

Summer: All right. You don't want your daughter near a hooker?

Luke: No, that isn't it. Of course you know me better than that. I just don't want you trying to take Lauraís place.

Summer: Hold on. Wait. Isn't that what you pay me to do?

Luke: As a fantasy for me! Not for my daughter!

Summer: Hey --

Luke: She lives in the real world, Summer.

Summer: No problem at all. I just had a huge dose of reality. I am very clear on who I am, okay? Trust me. I come here for safety and comfort and because you make me happy, because I feel like I'm worth something when I come here. But, believe me, I got it. Job's over. I'm ready to move on. It's okay. No --

Luke: No, wait. Please, please, please, please. I'm sorry. Just wait.

[Door opens]

Courtney: Marco said I could come in. Jason told me it's over.

Sonny: I know that it hurts, you know, and I'm sorry.

Courtney: Are you?

Sonny: For your pain, yes.

Courtney: You put him up to it, Sonny, didn't you? He says it's his own choice, but it's just you and me now. Tell me the truth.

Sonny: I told Jason that he's dangerous for you.

Courtney: Why? You of all people know what a good person Jason is. Why? Aren't you happy that we're together? Jason is kind and thoughtful and he treats me with respect. Isn't that what you want for me?

Sonny: You don't understand Jason's work.

Courtney: No, I understand, okay? I know enough. All right, I accept that there are things he can't tell me, okay, and that he takes risks. I accept that the work he does for you is illegal. But we can still find the kind of happiness that you and Carly share.

Sonny: It's different.

Courtney: No, it's not different, because we love each other. But he is so loyal to you, he would never go against you. How could you treat him this way after everything that Jason has done for you? Sonny, you are going to go to him. You're going to go to him and tell him that you changed your mind. Tell him that you've thought it over and you were wrong.

Sonny: Jason wants you to be safe. He did what he thought was right. Now, if you say you understand him, you know that he doesn't do what he's told. He does what he wants. I explained the situation. He made a decision. He's not going to change his mind. You're going to have to just accept that.

Courtney: No, Sonny, I don't accept it. I'm never going to accept it.

Courtney: Jason loves me. He would never have walked away from me unless it was on your order.

Sonny: I was just trying to protect you.

Courtney: No, you know what? You don't get to make decisions for me, Sonny, because you don't know me. You look at me, and you see this sweet, innocent little sister, this delicate little flower that you need to shelter, but that's just some image in your head. That is what you want to believe, but that is not who I am, Sonny. I can take care of myself. I have been doing it since I was little.

Sonny: You still can get hurt --

Courtney: No --

Sonny: Or even killed.

Courtney: Jason will protect me!

Sonny: Yeah? Can he protect you all the time?

Courtney: You know what? I will take the risk.

[Sonny scoffs]

[Courtney mocks Sonny]

Courtney: Yeah. I'll take the risk, Sonny. You say that Jason's clear on his decisions? Well, so am I. I love him, and I want to be with him.

Sonny: You're going to have to move on.

Courtney: No.

Sonny: It's over.

Courtney: No, Jason loves me. I know it. You're used to getting your way, Sonny, but this time it's different because I will fight you with everything that I've got.

Sonny: Yeah, well, you're going to hurt yourself and you're going to hurt Jason. If you really love him, you let him go.

Luke: I'm not mad at you, Summer.

Summer: Oh. You could have fooled me.

Luke: No, I'm mad at me, at me, the way I've treated my daughter. I haven't been to see her. I've basically abandoned her, pushed her off on Lauraís mother or my sister or my son or anybody who would take her. I've been a selfish bastard. And the reason is that without my wife I don't know how the hell to be a parent.

Summer: Well, Luke, it looked to me like you're ready to start making up for it.

Luke: Well, if I am, it's because of you.

Summer: Because of me? What have I got to do with this?

Luke: Summer, there are days when I don't want to get out of bed. There are days when nothing seems to mean anything at all. And then I see you, I talk to you, or spend time with you, and I think maybe, just maybe I can get through another day without burning down the pcpd or killing myself or somebody else. I spend time with you and I think maybe life ain't so bad after all.

Summer: You're my retreat, too. Retiring from my former job has not been easy. It's been downright disastrous, Luke. And I come here with you and I'm happy, very happy.

Luke: Well, what's wrong with that?

Summer: Well, nothing, I thought.

Luke: Honey, if we can squeeze a little happiness out of this miserable existence, what harm does that do? Who does that hurt?

Summer: That doesn't hurt anybody, right?

Luke: No. Not a soul. Not a soul.

Summer: Cheers, then.

Luke: To life.

Summer: Yeah.

Brenda: Ooh!

Jax: Brr.

Brenda: Your hands? It's all done signed on the dotted line.

Jax: That's right. Your marriage to Jason will soon be over as soon as the papers are filed in the Dominican Republic.

Brenda: Say good-bye to Mrs. Brenda Barrett Morgan.

Jax: Yes, and say hello to Mrs. Brenda Jacks.

Brenda: How long do you think the annulment will actually take now?

Jax: Well, I was hoping to marry you by Valentineís Day. What do you say?

Brenda: I say yes.

Courtney: That's how you got Jason, isn't it? By telling him the only way to love me was to leave me.

Sonny: Jason is putting your well-being ahead of his own. That's a nice thing that he's doing, isn't it?

Courtney: Love isn't walking away, Sonny, or controlling other people. It's like what did you really get out of this, huh? Does it make you important deciding who gets to be happy? Do you get some kick out of knowing that there is one person so loyal to you that he'd be willing to break his own heart on your command?

Sonny: You have every right to be angry. I'm not saying that.

Courtney: And, you know, I thought I was wrong about you, after finding out that A.J. had lied and used me. You know, I thought for a minute that I actually had an older brother I could count on. I couldn't count on my parents, but I had a brother that I could rely on.

Sonny: You can.

Courtney: No, no. You only want what's best for Sonny, no one else. And now you want to take away Jason. But you don't control him or me, okay? And we're going to be together, and you are not going to stop it!

Sonny: Well, I won't have to. Jason already has.

Courtney: No! No! Jason said that he loves me, and I know it! I know he does! Why can't you just let us love each other? You know what? God, I hate you! I hate you!

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Nikolas: Gia's getting involved with Zander somehow.

Zander: I'm in love.

Cameron: I want to speak to speak with Kristina.

Jax: You can't stand Jason.

Brenda: I just feel sad for him.

Sonny: Go ahead and hate me, but at least you're safe, and you won't die in anybody's arms.

Faith: Would you actually kill me?

Jason: I got nothing to lose.
