Sonny: You still haven't exactly told me why it's so important to have a nightclub.

Luke: You're hiding and you're afraid, aren't you?

Courtney: A.J.'s going to be beyond hateful about this divorce.

Sonny: I'm just sorry that this is all happening.

Skye: She killed Alcazar.

Jax: That doesn't matter because I love Brenda.

Jason: There's a choice -- either leave the country with me or we go to prison.

Luke: You're hiding from someone, aren't you?

Summer: I am a call girl. It's bad business to bring attention to myself, ok?

Luke: No, you make yourself scarce whenever anybody else is around. Your phone number and your address are like national security secrets. No, you can't even bring yourself to show up to meet a doctor who's threatening to put me in a rubber room if I don't produce you in the flesh.

Summer: Maybe I just don't like other people, ok?

Luke: Nobody's that shy, darling. The way I figure it, there's three possible explanations -- one, I'm crazy, which I definitely am, but schizophrenic hallucinations are not my thing, two, you're a sadistic game player, but I've known a few of those, and that doesn't make sense to me because that's not your M.O., or, three, you're terrified and you're hiding from someone, and that's the only thing that makes any sense. Now, what are you hiding from? Laura, what are you hiding from?

Summer: My lover. All right? He's powerful and he does not want to let me go.

Ned: Look at you. Yes. You're getting so strong. Trying to lift your head there, aren't you? Soon we're going to take you home and I'm going to take you out for a walk in the park. How would you like that? Show you off to everybody. They're going to love you.

Felicia: Hey, Ned.

Ned: Hey.

Felicia: How's that adorable baby girl of yours?

Ned: Still adorable. She's getting stronger every day. She's gained a pound this week.

Felicia: Oh.

Ned: Yeah, we've been spending a lot of quality time together since Alexis is off working on Jax's defense.

Felicia: Yeah, I know about that. Alexis hired me to do the investigative work so that she would have more time to spend with baby Kristina.

Ned: Oh. Well, the irony is she's actually spending less time with Kristina as she becomes more obsessed with Alcazar's murder.

Alexis: Did you follow me here?

Cameron: Your conversation with Scott Baldwin intrigued me. You spun this theory about Luis Alcazar and how his enemies in high places must have shoved him over the balcony.

Alexis: It's a possibility.

Cameron: You don't strike me as the type to buy into that kind of theory.

Alexis: I would be remiss if I didn't cover every base.

Cameron: You know what it sounded like to me? An excuse -- the kind you want to believe if you don't want the real killer to be found. Am I hitting close to home?

Sonny: Um -- I thought you said Courtney was going to be here.

Carly: She's cocktail waitressing tonight. I called, I checked.

Sonny: Right.

Carly: Maybe her shift hasn't started yet.

Sonny: Well, you know what? If we have to wait, can we just go to the No Name?

Carly: Will you have patience, please?

Sonny: I just -- you know -- I don't like this place.

Carly: Ok, you know what? We're going to sit at this table. You're going to act pleasant and not glower and act like you're hating every minute of this, ok?

Sonny: Why would -- I don't -- what -- I don't do that.

Carly: You're doing it right now.

Carly: Sammy Tagliati -- what is he doing here?

Sonny: Probably meeting somebody.

Carly: Who is that woman?

Sonny: It's what you call trouble.

Skye: Vodka on the rocks, please.

Man: Mrs. Jacks, do you have a minute to go over the music selection?

Skye: You know what? Speak to my husband. He's the one who put the money up for this place, so I really don't care.

A.J.: Hey. You have to stop drinking.

Skye: Oh, don't be a nag.

A.J.: You're going to ruin everything.

Skye: You know what, A.J.? If you came here to be a nursemaid, you can just turn around and go right back out that door, ok?

A.J.: I came here because Courtney is working tonight and I need you to do me a favor.

Jax: I'm glad you're ok.

Brenda: I'm glad you're ok.

Jax: Don't worry about me.

Brenda: Now, listen -- you're not superman. I know this might be big news to you, but you could have been sent to prison.

Jax: But I wasn't.

Brenda: You can't do things like this anymore.

Jax: I will never stop protecting you.

Brenda: I don't need you to protect me. I am not helpless.

Luke: So, what's this guy's name?

Summer: Oh, come on, I can't tell you that.

Luke: Why?

Summer: Because he's powerful, he's married, and I was his mistress. That's why. I was financially dependent on this man and I found myself becoming emotionally dependent on him, too, so I decided to break it off. That really made him mad. And he kept insisting that I come back and I kept saying no, until one night he tracked me down and -- I tell you what -- he beat me from within an inch of my life, ok? So that's why I have to disappear. I just have to be gone!

Luke: You think he's still following you?

Summer: I can only assume.

Luke: But you're taking no chances?

Summer: No. My god, I want to be gone! I just want to be away from him, ok?

Luke: Ok. Ok, darling, there is one other solution. You tell me this guy's name and I make sure he never bothers you again.

Alexis: I'm doing my job.

Cameron: Defending Jasper Jacks?

Alexis: I have a commitment to provide a thorough and vigorous defense for my client.

Cameron: Not to mention your personal connection to the case.

Alexis: That's a separate issue.

Cameron: Luis Alcazar left you alone in the park when you were in labor. He was responsible for the explosion that killed your sister. Is that why you want to protect Jax?

Alexis: Why do you care?

Cameron: Prior to the arrest, you were obsessive about your daughter. You refused to leave her side. Now I find you in an empty hotel room crime scene doing, what, detective work?

Alexis: This coming from a man who just followed me here, who's probing around for clues, digging into matters that are not only none of his business but irrelevant to this case.

Cameron: Are they?

Alexis: You're wasting your time. There is no mystery here. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have things I need to do.

Carly: Isn't it a sign of disrespect that Sammy Tagliati's here? This is your territory.

Sonny: Sammy's date has an interest in the area.

Carly: A woman involved in your business -- how did that happen?

Sonny: Faith Rosco -- she's the widow of the man who tried to strong-arm you for this club.

Carly: The piece of slime was married?

Sonny: Yeah. And because of his untimely death, she has taken over his business interests.

Carly: Wish I could read lips.

Sonny: I'm glad you can't.

Carly: She looks hard.

Sonny: Will you stop looking over there?

Carly: Please explain how she can be running her dead husband's territory, because you made it sound like your business associates would not do business with a woman.

Sonny: Well, one thing's for sure --

Carly: Hmm?

Sonny: They're not going to do business with you.

A.J.: Thank you for the favor.

Skye: When are you planning on reciprocating?

A.J.: Take it easy. It'll happen.

Skye: A.J., We made a plan. I want that home-wrecking slut Brenda to pay and soon.

Jax: Of course I'm going to protect you. I've learned from experience how empty my life is without you.

Brenda: Yeah, for the last four years, I thought I was being protected by Luis. I'm not comparing you to him. I'm just --

Jax: Ok.

Brenda: I would never do that. I'm just saying that I can't ever let myself feel dependent on anyone ever again.

Jax: I'll do anything for you.

Brenda: I know.

Jax: You know that.

Brenda: I just want you to trust that I can take care of myself. And if you really love me, you'll protect yourself so we can hang out together.

[Brenda laughs]

Jax: All right, I'll try. Ok?

Brenda: You'll try?

Jax: I'll -- I'll try harder.

[Door opens]

Jax: What do you want?

Brenda: Knock-knock?

Jason: I need to talk to my wife. Alone.

Luke: I can get this spud out of your life for good.

Summer: No. I just want you to stay out of it.

Luke: I'm not talking about bumping him off or hurting him, even. I'm just talking about getting you some leverage against him. I'll nose around into his bank records. I'll find his dirty little secrets. I mean, everybody's got dirt in the back yard.

Summer: No, I don't want you to provoke the man. All I want to do is stay away from the man.

Luke: Eventually you're going to have to surface.

Summer: Why do you insist on being my friend? How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not interested? You're a nice guy. You've had your share of heartache, but it's nothing that I can fix! Please, just leave me alone!

Luke: Ok, I will, I will. I will. Just as soon as you meet my shrink so that I don't have to check into hotel bedlam.

Summer: One meeting, and then it's over. You'll never see me again.

Jax: Ok, you know what? Can we drop this whole wife thing?

Jason: Well, it was her idea. Now we're stuck with it. I need to talk to her in private.

Brenda: Why?

Jason: Jax could be forced to testify to anything we say in court, ok? If he refuses to testify, he's going to get another obstruction charge, so it's just easier. Let him go get some takeout, ok? The sooner we get this over with, the sooner I can get out of here.

Brenda: Fine, fine. There's no point in arguing with him. He's not the sharpest tack in the box, so just go, come back.

Jax: You better be gone when I get back.

Brenda: He will be. It'll be quick.

Jax: I'll see you in a bit.

Brenda: Ok. What? What's up?

[Door closes]

Jason: All right, how many times do we have to go over this? You shouldn't be here with your married boyfriend, ok?

Brenda: Oh, you know what?

Jason: It makes you look guilty. Just stay at the penthouse.

Brenda: Forget it!

Jason: All right. Then you better start thinking about where you want to go because I'm taking you out of the country.

Sonny: You've had your first and last venture into my business when I pretended to be dead, ok?

Carly: Well, I thought I handled it pretty well --

Sonny: Yeah?

Carly: Except for when that earpiece fell out. Yes, I do.

Sonny: Well, those men could have killed you right on the spot. I've told you -- how many times have I told you? I don't want my business touching you.

Carly: That's fine.

Sonny: Ok?

Carly: Because I have got no interest in your business. I have seen my future, and it has a wildly successful nightclub in it.

Sonny: You want this club back?

Carly: No. God, no, it's tainted. I loved opening this club, it was great, but I am going to love this new one even more. And you know what? It is going to be such a hit that you're going to be able to retire and live off of my money.

Sonny: Mm-hmm?

Carly: Mm-hmm. And here's the man that's going to help me do it. Hey.

Ric: Good evening.

Carly: Hi.

Ric: You both look wonderful.

Carly: Thank you. Ric, I have so many ideas I want to run by you.

Sonny: Oh, really? But I got to -- I need a minute --

Ric: If it's about Jax's hearing, I'm sure Carly can hear.

Sonny: You should know better -- we don't discuss business in front of my wife.

Ric: I'm sorry. Shouldn't have presumed.

Ric: Jax was released on bail.

Sonny: Is Baldwin reducing the charges?

Ric: I've seen that he's trying to do so.

Sonny: All right.

Courtney: Carly.

Carly: Hey.

Courtney: Hey.

Carly: Courtney, how you doing? Sonny's here.

Courtney: Oh, great. Well, you know what? I'm late for my shift, but I'll come over and say hello later.

Carly: Ok, well, don't be long because the only reason he agreed to come was because you were going to be here. True.

Courtney: I'm sorry I'm late.

Skye: Oh, it's all right. You know, the gentleman at table six has been waiting quite a while. Why don't you start with him, hmm?

A.J.: You look beautiful.

Alexis: Hi.

Felicia: Hi.

Alexis: Felicia, you're --

Ned: She just stopped by for a minute.

Alexis: If -- if this is about the investigation, could we talk about it outside?

Felicia: No problem.

Alexis: Thanks.

Felicia: I just came by because I wanted you to know that I was going to Alcazar's hotel suite tonight.

Alexis: Ok. What for?

Felicia: Well, I think it would be good to be there at the exact same time that the murder occurred. Maybe something will turn up.

Alexis: That's a good idea, although you know that the police have gone through it with a fine-tooth comb. And I went over there myself, but I was interrupted.

Felicia: Yeah, well, you know, I'm thinking about the neighbors. Maybe there was somebody there with a clear view that -- oh, I don't know -- feeds their cat every night at the same time. You never know.

Alexis: Right. Felicia, I know that I must seem overprotective and neurotic. I'm sorry. I don't want Kristina to have another setback. And it's flu season and you have kids and people are carrying a lot of germs, and I -- I would just appreciate it if next time you come here, maybe you could stay out of the neonatal room.

Felicia: Ok. Whatever you're comfortable with.

Alexis: Thanks.

Felicia: I'll check in with you later.

Alexis: Ok.

Ned: Felicia was only trying to help. You didn't need to be rude to her.

Alexis: I know she was trying to help and I didn't mean to be rude to her, but I have the right to shield my child from people that don't absolutely need to be in the neonatal room.

Ned: Well, if you actually stayed with Kristina, you could stop them yourself. But you're gone, working around the clock again.

Alexis: I'm working to save our best friend's life, and I'm not working around the clock. I'm only there when I need to be there, and the rest of the time I'm here.

Ned: You know, first, you wouldn't leave Kristina's side for as much as a cup of coffee, and now you're basically M.I.A. because you've become obsessed with Alcazar's murder.

Alexis: I'm -- I'm doing what I feel is absolutely necessary, and I'll do the same thing for my daughter.

Ned: Will you listen to yourself?

Alexis: No, will you listen to yourself? You're attacking me, and I don't know what I've done to deserve that today. And if you hate me so much, why don't you just go home.

Ned: What I'm trying to do is accommodate you. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I'm allowed to spend time with Kristina. On Wednesdays and Fridays, I'm basically an unnecessary hindrance. You know, I'm just a little confused.

Alexis: Ok, fine. You want consistency? I'm raising Kristina alone.

Ned: Of course. It is Wednesday. Well, you know what? I would leave but I won't because I don't want to see her left alone for hours.

Alexis: Don't you dare question my commitment to my daughter.

Ned: And don't you dare question mine. I made a promise to myself and to this child to be the father that she needs.

Alexis: What she needs is to get stronger so she can go home.

Ned: No, you don't care how I feel about this child. All you care about is yourself.

Alexis: You're out of line.

Ned: No, you are, and you have been for months. And I'm partly to blame because I put up with it.

Alexis: I don't need this right now.

Ned: I am so sick and tired of your mood swings. One day I'm the father. The next day I'm not. All I want to be is your friend, but you don't want that. You only want what's convenient at the time. You want a legal crutch to establish Kristina's paternity. You want a shoulder to lean on in a moment of crisis. You want a whipping boy whenever you feel like asserting your independence. Is that it?

Alexis: If that's your opinion, I can't imagine why you're still here.

Ned: Kristina -- that's why I'm here. Obviously there's no other reason to be here because you're incapable of showing the same love and support that I've shown you. I loved you. I was ready to spend the rest of my life with you, and you walked away. And then I finally find out that you're chasing after a married man who doesn't even want you -- the local crime boss, no less. And then, lo and behold, you end up pregnant, and then suddenly I'm attractive again, aren't I? Oh, then you're only too happy -- too happy to get my help.

Alexis: I can't -- I can't -- I can't deal with this right now.

Ned: Kristina needs me, all right? She wasn't put on this earth for you to prove yourself a superwoman. She needs a father, and obviously you don't need me. That's fine. I'm cutting my losses.

Alexis: How long have you been standing there?

Cameron: Not long.

Alexis: I can't imagine what got into him.

Cameron: I don't know. Maybe the truth?

Brenda: So sonny wants --

Jason: No, this is not about Sonny, ok? This is about us. You're a prime suspect in Alcazar's murder. Your fingerprints are on the knife. You admitted on tape to injuring him, and I'm --

Brenda: Well, you know how that happened.

Jason: I know that, but I'm your accomplice, ok, and Baldwin's determined to prove that you and I worked together to kill him. He's trying to gather enough evidence to arrest us.

Brenda: Well, fine. That hasn't happened yet, so until then --

Jason: Well, you know what? We need to get out of the country before it does happen.

Brenda: I'm not going anywhere. I didn't do it.

Jason: You think Baldwin cares if you did it or not?

Brenda: You know what? You go ahead and go wherever you want. I don't need protecting.

Jason: I am protecting myself because we're in this together now.

Brenda: So you kind of want to go away with me.

Jason: Oh, no.

Brenda: Is that --

Jason: No way.

Brenda: What you're telling me?

Jason: Nah. No.

Brenda: You want to go to Europe with me?

Jason: No, I don't --

[Brenda laughs]

Brenda: We can hang out together, drive each other crazy --

Jason: I don't want to go to prison, ok?

Brenda: Well, I don't want to go to prison, either.

Brenda: All right. Here's the thing. If I decide -- if --

Jason: "If I decide --"

Brenda: Decide that I'm going to go anywhere with you, we can't leave until after Christmas. I mean, it's about to be Christmas. You do celebrate Christmas, don't you --

Jason: Yes.

Brenda: With somebody? I mean, you must do something for Christmas. And if Scott closes in on us and it becomes an issue of we're either going to be arrested or we have to leave town, then I will leave town with you, I promise, and I won't give you any trouble.

Jason: You always give me trouble.

Brenda: Well, that's because you deserve it.

Jason: Fine. Sonny says that we do have a little time, ok? So we will wait until --

Brenda: Ooh, "Sonny says."

Jason: Yeah, that's right.

Brenda: Ok, fine.

Jason: We'll wait till right after -- right after Christmas.

Brenda: I'm sorry, you're right.

Jason: Ok?

Brenda: Thank you very much. We'll have Christmas, and then we'll see what happens.

Jason: That's fine. And when I call you to go, if we have to go before Christmas with Jax --

Brenda: Yes.

Jason: We're going to leave.

Brenda: Yes. Fine.

Jason: You promise?

Brenda: I -- yes. I promise! You're welcome, by the way.

Jason: For what?

Brenda: For not making you spend Christmas with me.

Skye: You're ignoring table six.

Courtney: Skye, why are you forcing me to wait on A.J.? You know that I don't want anything to do with him.

Skye: Courtney, A.J. still loves you.

Courtney: I don't get this. You were one of the people who warned me not to marry him. Why aren't you happy that we're getting divorced?

Skye: I've learned a few things the past few months, and I'll let you in on a little secret -- imperfect people can get their hearts broken, too, ok? Now, they might do stupid things, but they deserve a second chance. Now, take that drink and bring it to the gentleman at table six.

Courtney: Let go.

A.J.: Just sit with me for a few minutes, please.

Carly: Don't.

Sonny: I'm just going to see what --

Carly: Ok, I know you want to help, but Courtney needs to handle this on her own.

Courtney: We have nothing to discuss.

A.J.: You loved me. You can't turn it off that fast.

Courtney: Yeah, A.J., I've heard all this before.

A.J.: What happened, Courtney? I mean, what -- how come you're so hard now? I mean, what happened to caring, compassion, forgiveness?

Courtney: You turned all those things against me, remember? But it's not going to happen again.

A.J.: I'm fighting the divorce every step of the way.

Courtney: You know what? You couldn't hold on to me with lies. You sure as hell can't hold on to me with a piece of paper. I'm done with you.

A.J.: Moving on to better? Jason?

Courtney: You know what? You can think whatever you want. I don't owe you any explanations.

Courtney: I don't need a job where I'm manipulated into dealing with a man that I can't stand. I quit.

Skye: Thought you were kinder than that, Courtney.

Courtney: You thought that I was a pushover, and so did A.J. well, I guess that you were both wrong.

Sonny: Courtney -- what was that about?

Courtney: Refusing to let A.J. get to me.

Sonny: Good for you. Good for you.

Courtney: So, look, I just quit, so if you need a hostess for your new club --

Carly: The job is yours, honey. You're going to be terrific.

Courtney: Great. Well, then, just call me when you want me to work. Bye.

Sonny: I tell you, she's -- what's going on with my sister? She's, like, changed or something. She's stronger and confident. What's that?

Carly: It's the new Courtney, now that she's gotten rid of A.J.

Sonny: Well, he deserves whatever -- whatever he gets after what he did. I'm going to get some more champagne.

Carly: Sounds good.

Sonny: Hey, give me some champagne, the best stuff you got.

Faith: Hi, Sonny. Been a long time.

Sonny: Yeah, yeah. A lot has changed.

Sonny: I hear you're taking over your late husband's business interests.

Faith: A widow needs to support herself.

Sonny: Don't let Sammy Tagliati mislead you.

Faith: I am simply having dinner with an old friend.

Sonny: Ok, so far you've shown good judgment. You haven't tried to expand your territory, you haven't caused me any inconvenience, but I don't want him to change your position.

Faith: I make my own decisions.

Sonny: Ok, well, you better make the right ones. Don't create trouble for yourself or for me. Ok?

Faith: You haven't offered your condolences on my husband's death.

Sonny: You're right. I haven't.

Sonny: Hey.

Carly: Well, sonny has offered to put up all the money for the club.

Ric: Yeah, you know, I've been thinking about that. You might want to think about putting together a funding package. I mean, there's nothing wrong with Sonny footing the bill here, but, you know, targeting high-profile investors from the private sector might generate a lot more publicity. You know, they'll frequent the club because they have a vested interest in it.

Carly: That's a good point.

Ric: Yeah, we want to target very high quality, very, you know, legitimate businesses.

Carly: All right, I will work on a list for you.

Ric: It's ok. It's already done.

Sonny: You have relationships with these potential investors?

Ric: Some of them, and the others I've begun to contact. You know, Carly's club is just one opportunity here. There are others that can apply to your own legitimate endeavors.

Ned: If it isn't the local crime boss enjoying an evening out with his lovely wife and -- new bodyguard?

Ric: Well, of sorts. Actually, I'm an attorney.

Ned: Oh, really? Well, you better watch out. Sonny's kind of tough on his attorneys. I was very close to his last attorney. He basically ruined her life. Isn't that right, Sonny?

Carly: Sonny did nothing to Alexis.

Ned: That's what he told you, and you bought it, of course, because you buy everything he says.

Carly: No, because I know what happened.

Sonny: Forget Ned. He's like a little flea. He's nothing.

Ned: Sonny, you're nothing. You're nothing. You're nothing but a mobster in an overpriced suit who puts everyone around him in danger -- Emily, Alexis, Kristina. And you're next, Carly. Are you too dumb and too pretty to see it?

Sonny: Ned -- you need to apologize to my wife right now.

Alexis: I have been pulled in a thousand different directions -- since she's been born.

Cameron: So Ned had a point.

Alexis: I have been taking things out on him, but he knows that I don't mean it, so I don't know why he attacked me like that.

Cameron: I heard him say that you don't care about anyone's needs but your own.

Alexis: Everything I do is for Kristina. Are you going to tell me it's wrong to put my child first?

Cameron: You're using motherhood as an excuse to be compulsively involved with your child, and I can tell you right now that's counterproductive.

Alexis: Ok, you walked in on a conversation that was private --

Cameron: I'm speaking from experience. Living through your child can have terrible consequences.

Courtney: What are you doing here -- not that I'm complaining.

Jason: I came back to wait for you. I thought you were working a longer shift.

Courtney: Well, I quit halfway through.

Jason: And it looks like you enjoyed quitting.

Courtney: Yeah. You have no idea. Skye -- she set me up to wait on A.J. and, anyway, he started in on his usual stuff -- how he still loves me and how he deserves a second chance. You know, he only made a few mistakes, right? Anyway, when that didn't work, he threatened to fight the divorce, and then he accused me of sleeping with you.

Jason: That didn't bother you?

Courtney: No. That's what's so great. Nothing A.J. said got to me. I didn't feel -- I didn't feel guilty or hurt or scared. He's lost his power to manipulate me.

Jason: That's good.

Courtney: Yeah. And best of all, he can't make me feel ashamed of what I feel for you.

Luke: You won't have to tell him anything about yourself.

Summer: Just meet him and go, right?

Luke: Right. Just say who you are, give him about a two-minute rundown of what we've been doing, and then you're free to disappear.

Summer: And then we're done. No more lurking in parks, no more Santa suits on TV -- we're done.

Luke: Right, I'm out of your life. Of course, if that ex of yours shows up --

Summer: Then it's my problem. Not yours, mine.

Luke: So living in hiding is the future that you've mapped out for yourself?

Summer: I've heard your solutions, and I'll pass. Thanks.

Luke: Well, it's your life. I'll stay out of it. I'm not sorry for any of it, though. You're good company. You're a hell of a good little dancer. What's the matter? What's up?

Summer: He's here.

Luke: That's your ex?

Summer: Yes.

Luke: All right, you stay right here.

Summer: No --

Luke: I'll take care of this.

Summer: No, Luke!

Luke: Just stay right there. Hey, you. Beat it.

Man: Excuse me?

Luke: The lady you're dogging doesn't want to see you anymore, so stay away from her.

Man: What woman? Who are you? What are you talking about?

Luke: You just can't take no for an answer, can you? The lady said she didn't want to see you again, but you keep tracking her down.

Man: Get away from me.

Luke: So, what is your plan now? You going to beat her up, maybe mess up her face?

Man: Back off!

Luke: You forced her into the street to make a living, man!

Man: I'm being attacked!

Luke: Yeah? This is being attacked --

Taggert: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

Luke: He's a stalker.

Taggert: What the hell is going on --

man: He's a maniac! He came out of nowhere and attacked me!

Luke: Doctor, tell Taggert to arrest him. This is the guy that's been stalking Summer --

Taggert: You know what, doc? You need to get your patient under control here.

Man: This man's a mental patient? I want him restrained. He's a menace to society.

Luke: You're the menace.

Cameron: I'll vouch for Mr. Spencer.

Taggert: Well, Mr. Spencer was attacking this man, so I got to take him in now.

Luke: No, no, no. Look, doctor, doctor, this is what's happened. This is the guy that Summer's been hiding from. That's why she disappears every time anybody comes around. She's terrified of him!

Taggert: I'm going to need you to come downtown and make a statement.

Man: Glad to.

Luke: What -- you believe me, don't you? Summer's right over there. Ask her! Ask her! Summer?

Cameron: You mean here?

Taggert: Let's go, Spencer.

Luke: She was here. No, doctor, she was here! This is the guy she's running from! No, man!

Ned: You want an apology? Well, I want one, too.

Carly: Hey --

Ned: I want you to apologize --

Sonny: Don't push me.

Ned: To my family for all the pain you've caused us, starting with Alan and Monica. I want you to go over there and tell them just how sorry you are for turning their son away from them. I want you to go over and tell A.J. just how sorry you are for stealing his son. And then walk over to the hospital and tell Alexis how sorry you are for demeaning her, using her, and throwing her out with the trash.

Sonny: Don't you do that again. You want to talk about loyalty? All right, let's talk about loyalty. You sleeping with Alexis while you're still in love with her sister? Is that --

Carly: Hey, hey, hey, hey!

Ric: Sonny -- Sonny --

Sonny: Get up! Come on!

Carly: Let him go! Let him go! Sonny, let him go! He's not worth it! We're leaving. Come on. No, come on, come on.

Sonny: Don't you ever disrespect my wife. Let's go.

Skye: Ned, I'm taking you to the hospital. Come on.

Ned: Uh-uh. Uh-uh. I'm fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine.

Skye: Oh, come on, that was a clear case of assault and battery. You got to call the police.

Ned: I started the fight. No problem. He'll just walk away anyway. No, no, no, no, no, no. I'll have my revenge. I promise you.

Skye: Good. Payback's a bitch.

Brenda: Hmm.

[Door opens]

Jax: Prepare yourself for a feast of French cuisine.

Brenda: Oh.

Jax: I tell you, that is the last time Jason Morgan tells me what to do.

Brenda: Yeah, I know. Look, Jason -- he wants to take me out of the country in case they try to pin Luis' murder on me again.

Jax: I figured as much. That's a good idea.

Brenda: Well, I convinced him to wait until after Christmas. And he actually listened to me for once. So I guess I'll send you a post card from wherever I end up living.

Jax: That won't be necessary because Jason won't be with you. I will be.

Brenda: No, no, no. Wait a minute. You are definitely not leaving town. You're going to be tried for obstruction and perjury, remember?

Jax: I appreciate that you don't want me to protect you, but I am allowed to protect myself.

Brenda: Oh, you think that running away is protecting yourself?

Jax: You're the woman I love. Wherever you go, I go.

Brenda: Jax --

Jax: It's not open for discussion, ok, so just get used to it.

Brenda: Oh, really?

Jax: Yeah.

Brenda: When did you get so unreasonable?

Jax: Around the time I got you back. I promised myself that I would never lose you again. Come here.

Jason: Need help with that?

Courtney: Does it look like I need help?

Jason: It looks like you got it handled.

Courtney: My dad taught me when I was little. I'm very self-sufficient, in case you hadn't noticed. And, besides, if I get too used to you doing things for me, then I'll miss you too much when you and Brenda go away.

Jason: We may not be leaving as soon as I thought.

Courtney: Why? What happened?

Jason: We're just going to -- we're going to wait after Christmas.

Courtney: Don't you think that's kind of risky? Scott Baldwin seems determined to arrest you and Brenda.

Jason: Yeah, well, Brenda doesn't want to leave Jax, and I don't want to leave you.

Courtney: Then don't.

Felicia: Bingo.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Scott: You, Spencer, are on your way to a mental facility, effective immediately.

Taggert: Why was that Coleman guy driving your car?

Ned: Faith Rosco?

Faith: And you are?

Ned: Your new best friend.

Courtney: What do you want for Christmas?

Jason: Just to be here with you.
