(Missing first ten minutes)

Jason: I mean, it was too soon.

Courtney: I didn't say that.

Jason: I was talking about me. Look, I didn't plan on sleeping with you. Even -- even when I kissed you, I -- I wasn't expecting what happened next. I just got lost in you and didn't want to stop.

Courtney: And now you wish you had?

Jason: No. But it's not why I want to be with you. And it's not why I rented this place. I like you and I want to spend time with you somewhere that you feel comfortable where you don't have to hide or worry about A.J. stopping by. And there's a bed in here, and we don't have to use it until you're ready.

Courtney: The thing is, is I want to be with you. I do. I just -- I don't want to feel like I'm -- like I'm making a mistake or going too fast. Because when I'm with you, I'm fine. You know? It's just when you leave, I have -- I have all these huge questions in my head, you know, wondering if -- if I said something wrong or -- or if I'm being too clingy or if I -- if I don't say enough about what I feel for you. I was just -- I was so wrong about A.J., you know? I just -- I think that it's shaken my confidence. I know that you're nothing like him. I do. I already trust you. I just -- I don't want to wreck this.

Jason: Nothing you say is going to wreck this or make me mad. Nothing that I can think of right now. Just tell me what you're feeling, what's --

Courtney: Ok, I want to spend time with you here and I want us to be together as much as possible. But I do think that we should wait. So -- so when we do decide to sleep together, it's right for both of us, you know? Oh, god. I think I'm going to die of embarrassment now.

Jason: No, no, look, every -- I mean, everything you've said is -- is right. Courtney, it's how I feel, too. So it's what we'll do.

Courtney: One condition?

Jason: Uh -- not another one of these dating rules.

Courtney: You don't stop kissing me. And when we do decide to sleep together, we communicate by notes because I -- I can't imagine myself running up to you and announcing that I'm ready to --

Jason: By note? You want to fax me or --

[Courtney laughs]

Courtney: Don't make fun of me.

A.J.: By "cooperate" you mean keep your mouth shut? Which we all know you can't do.

Coleman: Whoa, hey -- whoa, hey -- I'm not trying to blackmail you. I'm thinking more along the lines of maybe a mutually beneficial arrangement. I mean, what you're planning -- it's going to take connections, and I've got the right ones.

A.J.: What do you get out of this?

Coleman: Well -- ahem -- if I help Skye, she's going to help me. But, see, that's between your sister and me, ok? And it's not about money. And, besides, all you need to know is, is that it's the only way you're going to get your brother in the slammer and away from Courtney. So, do we have a deal?

Carly: I don't like fighting with you --

Sonny: All right.

Carly: Sonny. And I don't like hanging around, driving you crazy, having nothing to do except obsess over where you are going and who you would rather be with, ok. So what I've decided to do is do something positive instead. You know, and if nothing else, a new club will keep me out of your way.

Sonny: Well, I don't want you out -- see, I don't want you out of my way. It's that -- I'm always trying to find the right words to reassure you, to -- to promise you that I'm -- you know, that I'm not going to leave and that you believe it. I could buy you a club, I can buy you 10 clubs, and I know you'll make every one a success. But what matters is that when you come home that you trust that I'm going to be there. We may fight, we may argue, whatever, but you know what? You're my wife. I fought way too hard for this. And I'm not going to lose you. Ok?

Sonny: So --

Carly: Yeah?

Sonny: Still want that club?

Carly: Absolutely.

Sonny: What can I do for you?

Carly: Pay for it.

Sonny: Oh, besides that?

Carly: Tell me what to do about Ric. Really, I will fire him, because he's not worth us fighting over.

Sonny: Why do you want him?

Carly: Because he is a Harvard-educated lawyer and because I think he's smart.

Sonny: Ok, Ric's your call, you know, just as long as he understands that working for you doesn't get him closer to working with me.

Carly: What about that thing that you did hire him to do?

Sonny: Well, that thing was separate.

Carly: Ok. So, how do you feel about having drinks with us tonight?

Sonny: With "us"? So -- oh, so now I got to hang out with the guy?

Carly: Oh, come on, yeah.

Sonny: No.

Carly: I want to take him to club 101 to show him what it was like and what --

Sonny: I hate that club.

Carly: Well, what if I told you that Courtney would be there and that if you went it would show what an amazing and supportive husband you are?

Sonny: Hmm.

Carly: And that if you did go --

Sonny: Yeah?

Carly: I'd be very thankful later tonight.

Sonny: Yeah, well, I'm going to hold you up on that last part there, you know what I mean?

Carly: Good.

Sonny: All right, all right.

Carly: I'll call Ric.

Sonny: Oh, so you already know his phone number by heart?

Carly: Well, yeah. I mean --

Sonny: Really?

Carly: Weren't you the one who said you should always have your lawyer's number memorized? Hey, Ric. You want to meet us for drinks tonight at club 101?

Ric: Is sonny with you?

Carly: Yeah. Why?

Ric: Let me talk to him. I have some information about Jasper Jacks.

Carly: Sonny.

Sonny: What's going on?

Ric: I just thought you'd like to know that Jasper Jacks has been granted an emergency hearing. The D.A. is petitioning to drop the murder charge.

Sonny: Ok. Can you get to the hearing?

Ric: I'm at the courthouse now.

Sonny: All right. Just give -- do -- just report back to me, will you?

Carly: What, did Jax get a hearing?

Sonny: They dropped the murder charges. That means the investigation is back to Brenda and Jason.

Carly: Wait, wait, wait -- so are they going to arrest Jason again?

Sonny: I don't know, but I got to just make sure that Brenda doesn't do anything worse. I know -- look, if I don't do this, then tonight I'm not going to be 100% --

Carly: Ok --

Sonny: Ok, I'll be back --

Carly: That's fine.

Sonny: As soon as I can.

Carly: I'll be here.

Luke: I could carry you.

Summer: Should've brought that up a mile back.

[Luke chuckles]

Luke: Oh. Hey, doc! What do you know about twisted ankles? Here -- get over here by the fire.

Summer: Oh, thank you.

Luke: Doctor! Your favorite patient's back with his favorite delusion! Hey, doc! Must've gone somewhere. There we go.

Summer: All right. What if I'm real and you're imagining your psychiatrist?

Luke: Oh, god, what a freaky idea that is. That would be a real nightmare. I mean, conjuring up a beautiful woman is one thing, but a shrink with a god complex is proof of galloping insanity.

Summer: I think your psychiatrist gave up and went home.

Luke: He probably just went for help. He'll be back with a couple of refrigerators in white coats and a straitjacket for me and maybe a couple of bloodhounds to track me down. But it's all going to be worth it when he walks through that door, sees you, and finally has to admit that you're real.

Summer: What do you want to do in the meantime?

Scott: Win for me. Thanks for your vote. What do you want?

Man: The judge is not happy about this, Mr. B. He wants me to pass along a warning to you. He says you won't get another warrant against Brenda Barrett or Jason Morgan without definitive proof.

Scott: I knew it. Corinthos is putting pressure on him to leave Brenda alone. Sit down.

Lucky: Hey, Dr. Lewis. Hey. I got here as soon as I could. Did something happen with my dad? Has he gotten worse?

Cameron: I don't know. I took him to a cabin out in the middle of nowhere to try and get him out of this spiral before he bottoms out.

Lucky: He escaped, didn't he?

Cameron: Yeah.

Lucky: Yeah.

A.J.: Coleman? Were you drunk?

Skye: I guess I'm going to need a little more information.

A.J.: He knows about our plan for Jason.

Skye: Oh. Yeah, well, that blows the plan right out of the water.

A.J.: He wants in on it.

Skye: What, are you demented?

A.J.: He's sporting a mullet hairdo, for crying out loud. He has his uses. Now, if he can help you get revenge on Brenda and me get rid of my brother finally, then so be it, whatever it costs us.

Jason: Hey, is Sonny here?

Carly: He's with Brenda. Aren't you impressed with how I just said that, all level and reasonable?

Jason: You're doing great.

Carly: No, I am climbing the walls. But it's better than following Sonny out of here and spying on him, right?

Jason: Yes, it is.

Carly: I know Sonny loves me, but I hate that he feels responsible for her.

Jason: Maybe you'll get used to it.

Carly: Never.

Jason: Well, you used to hate Sonny and you used to love Dr. Jones.

Carly: Ok, is there a reason you are reminding me of that?

Jason: Yes, because people change, ok? You can't go back to what you had before. If you're lucky, you find something better, something that lasts.

Carly: Like me and Sonny. Ok, I get it. I feel better. Thank you.

Jason: Good.

Carly: You always calm me down.

Jason: Well, you know, if you would just count to 10, the same thing would happen.

Carly: Ok, well, I'd rather thank you instead, and I'd like to do that by taking you out to drinks tonight at club 101.

Jason: Forget it.

Carly: Courtney will be there.

Brenda: Whew.

[Footsteps]

Brenda: Jax? Hey.

Sonny: He's -- he's in court.

Brenda: Yeah, I know. Alexis didn't let me go.

Sonny: They're dropping the murder charges.

Brenda: Yeah. I guess that tape wasn't so incriminating after all.

Sonny: Yeah. I knew they wouldn't be able to prove Jax is the killer. I just wanted the investigation to go on a little longer. Now it's back on you and Jason.

Brenda: Yeah, I know. We'll be ok, right?

Sonny: What if you're not?

Sonny: I should've killed Alcazar on that island. I chose not to. I put Jason in this, and I put you in it, too.

Brenda: No, I'm the one who tried to stab him.

Sonny: Yeah, but I was the reason he was there at all.

Brenda: So, why didn't you kill Alcazar when you had the chance?

Sonny: I didn't want you to carry it. You know, when I met you, you were -- you were a brat, a little brat. I was looking for trouble, but you were hardly ever sad. And now I see all the sadness in your eyes. And I don't know if Alcazar did that. Maybe I did it. I don't know. But there's this need in me to want to fix it.

Brenda: No, I don't -- I don't need you to fix my life.

Sonny: I know. I can't help but want to sometimes, you know. Death is an uncomfortable thing, you know, especially when you caused it, when you ordered it. At the time, you know, killing Alcazar to me wasn't worth the pain it was going to bring you. And I was wrong. I'm just sorry that this is all happening.

Brenda: I don't need you to be sorry for me. I mean, you can't imagine what it feels like to think that you're going to die and then find out you're not. Things are ok.

Sonny: They will be as soon as I get you out of this, I'll tell you that.

Brenda: Ooh. Why do I like that you're arrogant? I mean -- look, I know that you think that you need to be in charge of everything.

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Brenda: But I could get myself out of this if you give me the chance. And you never know -- maybe the police will do their job for once and find the real killer.

Sonny: In the meantime, you know what? You can't -- you can't stay here. You're married to Jason. You should live with him. Just looks better, if you know what I mean.

Brenda: Yeah -- well, I'll think about it.

Sonny: No, you won't.

Brenda: I know. I'll be all right.

Sonny: All right. I just got -- I haven't -- I haven't had a chance to tell you that I'm glad that you're alive. You know, I saw you -- when I first saw you at the church doors and I was going to -- I wanted to say something, you know, like, "wow, she's right there. What's going on?" You know? And as you know, I got shot instead. Well, ever since that happened, I just haven't had the chance to tell you that, you know, seeing you in the rain, smiling like that -- it's proof miracles do happen. And I'm just happy that it happened to you.

Brenda: Thanks.

Sonny: I'll see you.

Brenda: All right. See you.

Carly: Did you and Courtney have a fight?

Jason: Carly, please.

Carly: Apologize to her.

Jason: We didn't fight.

Carly: Well, then, what's going on, huh? Oh, you're so into her, you're afraid that somebody's going to be able to read it on your face --

Jason: Will you just leave it alone, Carly, please?

Carly: No, this is great.

Jason: Just leave me alone.

Carly: This is really great. I mean it. Because, look, you're married to Brenda and you've been jerked around by Elizabeth who knows how many times. It's great that you like somebody and she makes you happy.

Jason: Can you not do this?

Carly: Are you sleeping with her?

Jason: See, you know what? None of this is any of your business.

Carly: No, I think it is, actually, because I was your first, right?

Jason: What does that have to do with anything?

Carly: Well, I think that I may have given you the wrong impression, ok, because sleeping with somebody that you pick up in a bar and agree not to exchange names -- it can be fun. It was fun. And worshipping a woman that you put on a pedestal and actually never touch is some people's idea of romantic --

Jason: Ok, are you trying to make me mad? Because it's working.

Carly: No, Jason, I am trying to let you know that, you know, you can love a girl and actually sleep with her. You don't have to prove your devotion to her by not touching her. Actually, if you shut Courtney out, I think that she might get her feelings hurt, and I know you don't want to do that, so I'm trying to give you a little help, a little advice. So, you know, some girls -- they actually like it if a guy puts out. What?

Jason: Are you drunk?

Carly: No.

Jason: Well, then, you don't get to talk this way to me. I mean it, Carly. I have done everything that you've ever asked me to do. Even when it meant trashing my own life to do it, I did it. Now, all I want is one thing that is mine. Just one thing. Can I have that? Can you leave this thing alone because I'm asking you to?

Carly: Courtney who?

Judge: Bail is hereby granted in the amount of $500,000. This hearing is adjourned.

Taggert: Hmm. I guess we're back to our prime suspects, Brenda and Jason.

Mac: Yeah, well, that's who Scott wants to be guilty. They're links in a chain that lead to Sonny.

Taggert: Nobody wants Sonny as bad as me, but --

Mac: Yeah, but not Scott Baldwin's way. Me, either.

Jax: So, where do I post bail?

Alexis: You don't. I will. You stay here and think about what I said. Brenda may cost you more than you can stand to lose.

Jax: Alexis -- thanks for everything.

Alexis: Thank me by thinking this through.

Skye: What if Alexis is right? What if Brenda's already cost you too much?

Scott: I got Jax dead to rights -- obstruction of justice.

Alexis: Is this leading somewhere, or are you bragging for the pure enjoyment of it?

Scott: Well, I got a little deal I'm going to fly your way.

Cameron: Your father's exhibiting symptoms of schizophrenia. Now he's wandering alone in the wilderness. I got to notify the authorities, get a search and rescue started before he dies of exposure out there.

Lucky: My dad's an expert at survival. That's how he got away from you. Scott Baldwin would like nothing more than to throw my dad in a mental ward. I'm asking you, Dr. Lewis, just give my dad 24 hours.

Cameron: It's going to be below freezing tonight. He's not dressed for that.

Lucky: I'm willing to take that chance. I know my dad. This is the right decision for him. Please?

Summer: Yummy. And besides, I love salsa eggs.

Luke: Really? Most of the time, my wife won't let me anywhere near the kitchen because I leave it in a shambles. But she does love it when I make breakfast. Salsa eggs is her favorite, too. Remember I told you we lived all over the world. I'd always have to make salsa eggs. In some places in the world, you can't get the ingredients to make salsa, so I improvised. You know, curry, nutmeg -- who knows? Came up with some pretty funky variations. And Laura would do exactly what you did. She would take a dainty little bite. Then she'd hang on and see if it stayed down. And then she'd smile and tell me what a culinary genius I am.

Summer: Well, I can see how much you still love her.

Luke: I always will.

Summer: See, that's why you've got to let me go.

Sonny: Where's Carly?

Jason: She's upstairs getting ready. She said you were taking her to club 101 tonight.

Sonny: Yeah, yeah, yeah. More like she's dragging me there. You want to go?

Jason: Uh-uh.

Sonny: It's a good thing because you need to -- you need to really go see Brenda. They've dropped the murder charges on Jax. And Baldwin's going to come after the both of you.

Jason: All right. You want me to take Brenda out of the country tonight?

Sonny: No, no, I don't want you -- what I need you to do -- I need you to convince her that this thing with Alcazar is not going to go away just because she wants it to. Now, I should have never gone over there, but, you know -- because every time we get together -- ahem -- we argue, start talking about the past or about things, you know, we shouldn't be talking about. So -- you know she's hurt because you can tell. She's like a little kid who knows she's supposed to be happy, so she tries to please the adults -- you know what I mean? By pretending. I can't make it ok for Brenda, but I just -- I don't -- I don't like to see her like that.

Jason: All right. I'll go talk to Brenda tonight, see when she wants to leave.

Sonny: Ok, that's the thing -- she doesn't want to go. She's going to fight you, and that's why I'm --

Jason: I know she's going to fight me. I know. She fights with me all the time. I know how to deal with it. At least she knows that I'm not going to lie to her, so she has a choice -- either leave the country with me or we go to prison. Maybe she'll understand.

Sonny: Ok. We still have some time because Baldwin's not going to arrest you until the case is airtight.

Jason: Ok. I'll just make arrangements.

Sonny: Take care of her.

Jason: I will.

Sonny: All right.

Jax: I don't want to get into this with you, ok?

Skye: You don't want to face the truth? Is that --

Jax: Do you want to fight, Skye? Is that what you want to do?

Skye: No, I want you to listen to reason, Jax. Before Brenda came back, we were in love. You had a life, a marriage. You had a business empire. If you stay with Brenda, Jax, I swear, she will suck you dry. And in the end, you won't even have her because she is almost certainly going to jail for murder.

Jax: Yes, because you lied.

Skye: No, because she killed Alcazar. You can't save her, Jax. All you're going to do in the end is ruin yourself trying.

Jax: Look, I understand you believe everything that you're telling me, and, you know, you may be right. But it doesn't matter because I love Brenda. And I'm not -- I'm not saying that to hurt you, Skye. It's the simple truth. Got to go.

Alexis: Luis alcazar was obviously in the employ of several intelligence agencies.

Scott: So you're saying that Jason and Brenda and Skye and Jax and the CIA were all in the hotel suite?

Alexis: Prove that they weren't. Till then, you have reasonable doubt. Why don't you just mark the case as unsolved and let it go?

Cameron: That's an interesting theory.

Alexis: I will convey your message to Jax.

Scott: So, let me guess -- that lunatic Spencer -- he's done something.

Cameron: Well, it could be. With lunatics, you never know. But I think we're making progress. Said to keep you posted.

Scott: Ok. Thanks.

Luke: Let you go? I can't even get you to stick around long enough to prove you exist. Why didn't you show at Kelly's?

Summer: Because I was hoping that you would just finally give it up once and for all. I mean, how was I suppose to know you were going to put on a Santa suit and run around acting like a raving lunatic? Luke, listen. Your problems started the day you insisted on wandering around this city looking for me. So if you want them to stop, stop looking. Problem solved.

Luke: Ok, it'll all --

Summer: No, no. Listen to me. Then it won't matter whether you can produce me for your shrink or anybody else because it won't matter whether I exist because it'll be over!

Luke: Yes, it will be over when you meet the shrink.

Summer: Look, Luke, I don't want any further involvement, period. Do you understand that? For my sake and for yours, can this please be the last time we ever meet?

Summer: Well, it's obvious to me that your psychiatrist is not going to show up, so -- I've got to work tonight. I'm going to call a cab. And when that cab gets here, it's going to be the last time you ever see me, ok?

Luke: And what's the reason? I want to know the truth.

Summer: I just explained to you --

Luke: No, you didn't. You've given me a lot of excuses, but you haven't told me the truth. So here's what I've come up with on my own. You don't need a social security number to work as a call girl. You can use any name you want, and your clients are not going to talk about you because, you know, they don't want anybody to know they bought your time.

Summer: Would you just please consider --

Luke: Your job is the perfect hiding place, and that's what you're doing. You're hiding, and you're afraid, aren't you?

Cameron: What are you doing here?

[Music plays]

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Luke: Laura, what are you hiding from?

Carly: Who was that woman?

Sonny: It's what you call trouble.

Skye: We made a plan. And I want that home-wreaking slut Brenda to pay and soon.

Jason: I need to talk to my wife -- alone.
