Luke: Who ever heard of anger management?
Cameron: Sessions might actually help.
Alcazar: Your sister's dead because of you.
Sonny: I destroyed you, our child, because of Brenda. I'm not going to let that happen again.
Courtney: I just want to believe in love. Don't you?
A.J.: Why am I not surprised.
Skye: Jax can't go back to Brenda.
Carly: Tell Jax that -- if you can drag him out of bed with Brenda.
Alexis: Ah! Oh! Some-- something's wrong. My baby --
Alexis: Please help me. Please.
Alcazar: I'm sorry. You said it yourself -- it's all about Brenda.
Alexis: Please help me!
Luke: Tough luck, Dr. Quack. Guess my anger can't be managed. But you might want to try and get some help for that therapist. I tried to get him to embrace his rage, but he fought me every step of the way.
Cameron: Reducing an anger management session to chaos is hardly a challenge for somebody as profoundly anti-social as you appear to be.
Luke: Well, give me a couple of hours. I'll see if I can come up with something inspired.
Cameron: All this is for effect, huh? Who are you trying to impress?
Luke: Not you.
Scott: Not so fast, Spencer. You're under arrest.
Luke: All right, bring it on. Here, snap on the cuffs. Let's go. Call a press conference. You finally got the big, bad bogeyman --
Cameron: You know, there might be another alternative. You could release Luke into the care of a psychiatrist.
Luke: Oh, ignore him. Snap on the cuffs. Hose me down. Let's go.
Scott: Why would you want to take on this responsibility?
Cameron: Call it research.
Luke: Call it insanity. Come on! You've been waiting for this. Let's go!
Scott: You know, it could solve a lot of my problems.
Luke: The hell it will.
A.J.: Surprise. Just the man I was looking for.
Courtney: A.J. --
A.J.: At Courtney's request, as a matter of fact.
Courtney: Don't do this.
A.J.: I thought this was what you wanted me to do -- find my brother, make peace. Sort of a Cain and Abel pact.
Courtney: Ok, look, I know what you're thinking, but nothing's going on here.
A.J.: You said that my irrational resentment towards my brother was what caused our marriage to derail, and maybe you're right. Maybe we'd still be married if I were more evolved. Maybe I should have just sat back and watched my brother seduce my wife.
Courtney: There was no seduction, ok? It's all in your mind.
A.J.: Jason's motives are anything but pure. But you can't see that, Courtney, because you're kind and honest and easily taken advantage of --
Jason: She figured out the truth about you, right? That you're so sick that you would stalk your own wife.
Courtney: Jason, don't -- don't!
Sonny: You were going to go look for me?
Carly: Brenda, actually, because I figured you'd be with her.
Sonny: I wasn't.
Carly: Why? Couldn't you find her?
Sonny: I wanted to be home with my wife.
Carly: I'm glad that you're back. But I just need to know why.
A.J.: Come on, do it. Do it. You know you want to, Jase.
Courtney: No, Jason, don't hurt him. Just let him go.
A.J.: It's absolutely perfect, huh? I started it. Now you finish it.
Courtney: Jason, please, don't --
A.J.: Come on --
Courtney: Don't listen to him!
A.J.: Come on, tough guy. It'll make feel you good -- almost as good as sitting in the dark watching my wife strip.
Courtney: No! No. Jason, please, don't do this. Just walk away. Walk away for me.
A.J.: What's up, Jase? Huh? Sonny's personal killing machine stalled by a one-way crush? Or what? Is this a two-way crush?
Jason: Courtney, let's go. You don't have to -- you don't have to deal with this guy.
Courtney: I can't. I'm sorry. I have to speak with A.J.
A.J.: I think that means alone.
Courtney: Jason -- I'll be ok. I know what I'm doing.
A.J.: Courtney -- I hope you understand I had to say what I did so that you could see the real Jason. I mean, did you see? He has no conscience. When he was choking me, did you see his eyes? They were cold, dead. He didn't care. I'm sorry, but now you understand what it is --
Courtney: No -- I understand. You're slime, and I've been an idiot.
Luke: When are you going to stop wasting the public's money and do your job? I'm a known criminal. Arrest me!
Scott: Spencer, look at where your life -- why do you want to take on this stooge?
Cameron: No one else does.
Luke: Well, there's a good reason for that, doctor. You see, I don't want to be counseled, therapized, and I sure as hell don't want to be saved.
Scott: All right, I've had enough of this. I'll send you the paperwork in the morning.
Luke: Hey -- hey! That anger management was supposed to be my ticket to the joint.
Scott: Well, you still may get there.
Luke: Well, bring it on.
Scott: You know, the next time you see this guy play around with matches, you're both going to be held accountable.
Cameron: Fair enough.
Scott: Good luck with your new chimpanzee. I'll send you a box of bananas.
Luke: Yeah, well, don't slip on the peels. Hey! I'll see you at the next disaster! Unless you catch me first.
Cameron: Tell me, is your anger directed at Scott Baldwin in particular or the D.A.'s office in general?
Luke: Doctor, why don't you go back to the homeless shelter? I'm sure there's some poor spud there who'd be happy to let you play Freud for a nice warm blanket and a bowl of soup.
Cameron: I've been there, done that.
Luke: Well, me, too. I've been to my childhood. I survived it. I'm not going back. No shrink is taking me back there.
Cameron: Don't worry. I'm just looking for a chapter for my new book -- "how to survive a relationship with an incurable sociopath."
Luke: Well, that sounds like a real page turner. Count me out.
Cameron: You're about as incurable as they come. So go ahead, march to the sound of your own dysfunctional drummer. I'm just along to record the steps.
Luke: You can't record my steps. You can't keep up with me. And if you do, leave your butterfly net behind! Good luck. Record away, record away! Ah.
Brenda: Did you know that your eyes change color when you smile?
Brenda: Did you know that?
Jax: No, I didn't.
Brenda: They're like disco balls.
Jax: That's very funny.
Brenda: You know, when I was away, I -- I would wake up every morning, I'd -- I'd remember you. That's how I'd know that I was ok, you know? That's how I knew that I hadn't lost it yet.
Jax: Well, you don't have to remember anymore because you're here now.
Brenda: I'm just -- I can't believe that this is real right now. I -- I mean, I'm home, and I'm -- I'm ok. This is going to take a little while for me to really believe it, I think. I just -- I feel like I don't even remember what it's like to be happy anymore.
Sonny: Jason told me that Brenda went to Lily's grave. She was there with Jax, and I guess Jason just went there to tell her that she didn't have the disease.
Carly: So you went to Lily's grave?
Carly: Did you see Brenda?
Sonny: No. She was -- she was gone. But I -- you know, I -- I knew where to look for her, but I didn't go.
Carly: Why not?
Sonny: Because I needed time to, you know, stop and think. So I stood there alone, you know, in the dark, and I remembered what my life used to be -- silent, alone, dark, full of memories. How I accepted that life because I thought I deserved it. Then you crash into my life. You made this penthouse into a home. Toys on the floor, you know. Lingerie on the towel rack. Lights, noise, the whole --
Carly: Is it what you want? Or was it just the best you could do without Brenda?
Sonny: I -- I want to be with my wife. I want to be home. I want to be with you.
Carly: Why? Why? Is it because it's familiar? Or do you want me more than you want Brenda?
Sonny: I don't -- I don't want Brenda.
Carly: Then why did you rush out of here the minute that you heard she wasn't dying?
Sonny: I needed to talk to Jason.
Carly: About business? Why couldn't you just tell me that you wanted to see Brenda and find out about her?
Sonny: In front of Skye?
Carly: That's my point, ok? You couldn't even wait before she left to get out of here.
Sonny: I need to know the truth. I didn't want to fight with you, you know? I mean, it's obvious how you feel about Brenda, and I'm -- I'm not blaming you.
Carly: Listen. I'm glad she's going to live, ok? I mean, I don't like her, but I never wanted her to die. Listen to me, ok? I am just trying to figure out and understand how you feel about her.
Sonny: Why are you pushing so hard?
Carly: Because you're not giving me a straight answer.
Sonny: Brenda was my -- my girlfriend -- she was -- was. I mean, in the past. You're my -- you're my wife.
Carly: And so was Lily.
Carly: And she was sweet and she loved you, but Brenda set your heart on fire. Does she still? Do I set your heart on fire?
Sonny: You always set my heart --
[knock on door]
Sonny: I'll get rid of whoever it is, ok?
A.J.: Courtney, Jason has played you from the beginning.
Courtney: That is ridiculous.
A.J.: Can you honestly stand there and tell me that Jason's never tried to make you think less of me?
Courtney: Yeah, that's right, A.J. Jason is the cause of all of our problems. If it weren't for him, you would be -- you would be a wonderful man and a perfect husband.
A.J.: I'm not saying that.
Courtney: No, A.J., that is what you have been saying all along, from the start. You drink because of Jason. You terrorize your own wife because of Jason. When you burned down the Oasis, Jason's the reason that you stayed out of prison. If he hadn't saved you, you would never have stalked me. It's all Jason's fault that our marriage failed. Do you see how I'm getting the hang of this? That's great. We can just blame Jason for all your mistakes.
A.J.: I've made mistakes -- a lot of them. I admit it. But haven't you made a few of your own?
Courtney: Yeah. I married you. That was the worst mistake of my life.
A.J.: I see. So that's it, huh? You're blameless, right? The wife who never lies -- except for the one about working at a bank while stripping every night.
Courtney: I lied to keep you out of trouble.
A.J.: And what about the lies while I was gone? The heartfelt "I miss you, honeys"?
Courtney: You weren't even gone!
A.J.: You didn't know that. You thought I was miles away. Meanwhile, you were spending cozy evenings with my brother.
Courtney: You watched my every move. You know that Jason slept on the couch.
A.J.: Did he?
Courtney: No. Don't turn this around, A.J. you lied to frighten me so that I would just fall apart and turn to you out of desperation. I lied to keep you out of jail and -- and from getting hurt.
A.J.: So where do the lies about Jason fit in, Courtney?
Courtney: Oh, god, would you just stop with this insane jealousy!
A.J.: A pretty reasonable emotion, given the circumstances.
Courtney: You're right. Jason doesn't have to pretend he's brave. He is brave and loyal and honest. Too honest to use hidden cameras.
A.J.: If he's so wonderful, go for it. Go climb into his bed.
Courtney: That's a great idea. Why didn't I think of it?
Brenda: I think I believe in miracles.
Jax: And prayers being answered.
Brenda: And prayers being answered.
Jax: I'm never letting you go again, ever.
Brenda: I can't believe the nightmare's really over, isn't it?
Brenda: Did you say "almost"?
Jax: I mean, it is. I mean, I don't know why I said that. I was just babbling.
Brenda: Right, except for that you don't ever babble. You always just say what you mean.
Jax: Ok, fair enough. But can we table the discussion for another time?
Brenda: No, no, no, I just -- I just want to know what you meant when you said "almost."
Jax: Alcazar is your nightmare. He's tortured you for the past four years, and he's still out there.
Brenda: Yeah, but I'm not afraid of Luis.
Jax: Good. Because you shouldn't be.
Brenda: No, no, are you -- what are you doing? Are you planning on doing something?
Jax: No, I'm just -- I'm just completing your happiness. Now, come here.
Brenda: You would never kill anyone, would you?
[Music box plays]
Skye: "These three remain -- faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love."
Alexis: Somebody, help me!
Alexis: Oh! Help me!
Cameron: Don't move.
Alexis: It's the baby. Something's wrong --
Cameron: Alexis, you're in labor.
Alexis: It is too soon!
Cameron: I'm going to get you to the hospital.
Sonny: A.J.'s still after my sister. It's not enough that he, you know, paid somebody to stalk her. Now he's following her around, giving her grief for talking to the man who protected her from him in the first place. I hope you wiped the street with his face.
Jason: I was going to. Courtney asked me to stop.
Sonny: She's defending him?
Jason: She didn't want me to hurt him.
Sonny: Did she blow him off?
Jason: I don't know.
Sonny: Tell him to go to hell?
Jason: I left. I don't know what she said to A.J. after that.
Sonny: How can she even look him in the face? How can she be in the same room with him? Ok, where -- where were they when you left?
Jason: Elm street pier.
Sonny: All right. I'll be right back.
Carly: Well, Courtney's crazy about you.
Jason: Don't -- don't start. Don't start, Carly.
Carly: Why? Jason, just admit it. You like her.
Cameron: Alexis has been in labor since she collapsed in the park.
Dr. Meadows: How far apart are the contractions?
Cameron: One to two minutes.
Dr. Meadows: Let's get her on a monitor.
Alexis: It's bad. It's bad, isn't it?
Dr. Meadows: I won't know till I examine you. We're going to give her steroids.
Bobbie: I'll give 0.25 of tributaline.
Alexis: What do I need -- what do I need that for? What's -- what's happening? What's happening with the baby? It's happening again.
Dr. Meadows: You're in labor, Alexis.
Alexis: Oh, god, I want Ned. Somebody call Ned.
Bobbie: I will.
Alexis: I don't know where he is! His -- his cell phone is -- his cell phone number is 5-5 --
Dr. Meadows: Hang on.
Alexis: I need Ned. Get Ned!
Ned: I see you're still a popular figure here in Port Charles. Maybe you should leave before you suffer worse.
Alcazar: I can't. I might miss the announcement.
Ned: Really? What announcement would that be? Your remains discovered in a ditch by a pack of dogs?
Alcazar: Are you a cigar man? I recommend Havana gold tips. They're perfect for celebrations.
Ned: What the hell are you talking about?
Alcazar: Well, I assume prospective fathers still honor the old rituals.
Ned: Well, actually, I have an old ritual of my own -- you kill someone I love, you pay in blood.
Alcazar: Ah, another threat.
Ned: No, just a statement of fact.
Alcazar: Next time bring your pillow.
Bobbie: Ned, Alexis is having contractions, and we've admitted her to the hospital, but she's asking for you.
Ned: Is she in labor?
Ned: But that can't be. It's too soon, isn't it? I mean, can you stop it?
Bobbie: I don't know. We're trying. How soon can you get here?
Ned: I'm on my way.
Cameron: Breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth.
Alexis: What do those numbers mean?
Dr. Meadows: We're monitoring your vitals as well as the baby's.
Alexis: Are my contractions slowing?
Dr. Meadows: Not yet.
Alexis: Does the medication usually work?
Dr. Meadows: We'll know in time. I'll repeat the dosage in a few minutes if the contractions don't subside.
Cameron: Just try to relax.
Alexis: What happens if the contractions don't slow down? What happens?
Dr. Meadows: Your baby will be born tonight.
Alexis: Will she live?
Dr. Meadows: Many babies survive.
Alexis: How many?
Cameron: Alexis, focus on your breathing.
Alexis: 60%? 70%? 80%? My baby's going to die if she's born tonight, isn't she?
Dr. Meadows: There's a 60%-40% chance --
Alexis: That's not good enough.
Dr. Meadows: That she will live.
Alexis: That's not good enough! Please, please, please, stop the contractions. She can't die, ok? She can't die. Please stop them.
Alexis: Dr. Meadows, please, you got to save her.
Dr. Meadows: We're doing the best we can.
Alexis: She can't die. You got to stop the contractions.
Dr. Meadows: Even if we can't, she has a good chance.
Cameron: You can help her, Alexis. Focus on staying calm. She'll feel it. Slow breaths.
Alexis: All right, Kristina, come on, now. Come on, come on, come on. We both have to relax, ok? Just relax. You're not ready to come out. You're in a very safe place, all right? You're -- you're getting a lot of nourishment. You just need to stay in there for just a -- a few more months, all right? Don't be in such a hurry to come out. You'll be out here soon enough, all right? So you just -- please, honey, please just stay in there where it's safe, it's warm. All right? There's another one coming.
Cameron: Deep breathe. Try to relax.
Ned: Alexis -- Alexis --
Alexis: Don't leave me, please.
Ned: No, I'm not going to leave you. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere. Oh, honey. You're ok. You're going to be all right. Hold my hand. You're going to be all right. This baby's going to be all right. Are you a doctor?
Alexis: I can't do this!
Skye: What a surprise. My wandering husband. Get tired of Brenda already?
Jax: I've come to tell you that I'm moving out.
Skye: Well, you sure don't waste any time, do you?
Jax: Wouldn't be right to stay.
Skye: Of course not. Brenda's damsel in distress act is far too mesmerizing. Would you like a drink? We could toast to your newfound happiness.
Jax: Come on, Skye, that's enough.
Skye: Oh, says who? You, the white knight? Everybody's savior?
Jax: Don't make this any worse than it already is.
Skye: I was too much of a pushover for you, wasn't I? Emotionally damaged. Starved for love and affection. Self-destructive streak a mile wide. Garden variety drinking problem. Hmm. You just came along, and I fell, hook, line, and sinker. But the thrill of the chase is over. Far too easy, though, wasn't it, Jax?
Jax: That's not what happened, and you know it.
Skye: Maybe I should have come up with some rare disease, huh? That would have spiced things up a little bit.
Jax: I trusted you, Skye, and you lied over --
Skye: Oh, please! You're a bigger liar than I ever was! Going on and on about enduring love and the importance of honesty and loyalty and truth. Well, the truth is that you love a challenge, Jax. You love a challenge in business and you love a challenge in love. It's who you are. Admit it.
Jax: I was committed to you.
Skye: So tell me, Jax, where did I go wrong, huh? Was it telling you that you were the most wonderful thing I'd ever met or -- or, what, did I get too boring for you? Did -- did you think, "whoa, this is a little stifling. She's in it for life. That's -- that's not going to work."
Jax: I thought I knew you.
Skye: Then -- well, then comes Brenda. Oh, let me tell you, there's a challenge, right? The beautiful Brenda. The beautiful Brenda comes back into town, surrounded by obstacles and taboos, followed by men with guns. Ha. And the four-year disappearing act -- now, well, that -- that was a good one. That -- that really was -- and what about the fact that she will always be tempted by another man? Huh? Huh, Jax? That's sure to keep you on your toes -- competition with your most hated rival.
Jax: You're looking for excuses, Skye.
Skye: They say there's nothing like that first taste of forbidden fruit. So, tell me, Jax, how was it? Was it everything you anticipated?
Sonny: Brenda? This is -- you have a minute?
Brenda: Yeah -- actually, I do.
Sonny: I heard. That's great.
Sonny: You going to be staying in Port Charles?
Brenda: Oh, I don't know.
Sonny: You might not?
Brenda: I don't -- it won't affect you either way, I promise.
Sonny: No, I'm just -- I'm just curious.
Brenda: Yeah. Actually, I think I am.
Sonny: What are you going to be doing? Picking up where you left off?
woman: Are you ok?
Luke: La-- Laura?
Alexis: What is that? Am I bleeding?
Dr. Meadows: No. Your water just broke.
Ned: I'm going to get you something. I'll go get you something.
Alexis: No, don't go! Don't go!
Ned: Alexis -- Alexis -- honey, I'm just going to go over and get a damp cloth, ok? I'll be right back. I'll be right here. Doctor, are you going to try to stop the labor?
Dr. Meadows: Once the water breaks, we have to get the baby out within 12 to 24 hours. If we don't, the baby will go into distress and we run the risk of infection.
Ned: And if the baby isn't out in 24 hours?
Dr. Meadows: She may die. Alexis could, also.
Man: Are you ok? Why'd you run into the street like that? You know, you scared me half to death. I could have just run you right over. So, you -- you hurt? You got any broken bones?
Luke: Oh, I don't think so.
Man: Here. You need some help?
Luke: Where is she?
Luke: The blonde in the blue coat. Oh.
Man: What -- what blonde?
Luke: The one you almost hit. Blonde hair, blue coat, scarf, black boots. She was just here a minute ago.
Man: Sorry. I didn't see anybody but you.
Carly: Oh, ok. So am I delusional? There's nothing going on between you and Courtney?
Jason: She's Sonny's sister.
Carly: And your point would be?
Jason: My point is that Sonny told me to look after her, so I did.
Carly: Right, and every time she calls, you have to rush to her side --
Jason: She was being stalked. What do you want me to do? She was in danger --
Carly: Ok -- ok, will you just fess up? It's me, ok? I know you.
Jason: All right, you want -- you want my confession?
Jason: You ready?
Jason: I like Courtney. She's a nice person. You happy now?
Carly: You can't even say that without your eyes lighting up. You keep a straight face -- that's very good -- but your eyes still light up.
Jason: Look, I felt bad for her, ok? A.J. jerked her around. He stalked her. She deserves a lot better. Anybody would.
Carly: Yeah, like you.
Jason: No, Carly. Just leave it alone.
Carly: Well, you're obviously not in denial. You just don't want to talk about it with me. It's ok.
Jason: No, I have -- I have better things to do, like pack Brenda's stuff. So you can help if you keep your mouth shut or you can just stay home.
Carly: Oh, if I keep my mouth shut? You know what? The old Jason wouldn't have lied.
Jason: You want to help me, you're going to be quiet, Carly, because I can't --
Carly: I'm not touching that woman's belongings.
Jason: Well, then, stay home.
Carly: You know what? The old Jason would have been honest with me because he wouldn't have been able to help it.
Jason: You know what?
Jason: You're doing this on purpose to annoy me, and it's working.
Carly: You know what? The old Jason, my friend -- he would have just told me how he felt. He wouldn't have kept it a secret. Why can't you just admit that -- that you're liking Courtney?
Jax: I'm not doing this.
Skye: Well, that's just too damn bad.
Jax: You know what? If you really want to stay here and let this out, then, fine, I'll stay here and listen. But we're spinning our wheels here.
Skye: Don't you dare condescend to me.
Jax: You know what, Skye? I lied as well. So we both sabotaged our marriage.
Skye: What, so you want a pat on the back for your honesty, Jax? What, Mr. Wonderful comes shining once again.
Jax: For what it's worth, I am sorry that our marriage fell apart.
Skye: Oh. We're still married, in case you hadn't noticed.
Jax: But it's still falling apart. So however you want to handle this is --
Jax: You don't have to worry about money. You know that. I'll make sure that you're comfortable. Anything else you need, you just say the word.
Skye: "The word" is this -- no divorce. No damn way.
Brenda: Is that your way of trying to ask me what my plans are?
Sonny: Well, it's not really my business.
Brenda: Yeah, but that's never stopped you before.
Sonny: Ok. What are your plans?
Brenda: I don't know. I want to be happy. I want to feel at home somewhere.
Sonny: Good luck.
Brenda: Thanks. I'll see you.
Sonny: I'm going to say this as a friend. I just do not think it's going to work out. It's never going to work out. You're never going to be happy with Jax.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Brenda: What makes you think that I can't be happy with Jax?
Sonny: There's always going to be something that you're missing.
Skye: You will not live some romantic, fairy tale life with Brenda. Not while I draw breath.
Courtney: I'm here to throw myself at you.
