Skye: Brenda Barrett isn't dying?

Courtney: Come over here now, please.

Jason: Is it the stalker? I have to go. Just stay inside, all right?

Alcazar: I understand we share a secret.

Luke: Let's go!

Warden: You're all under arrest

Lucky: I'm sorry I got you into this mess.

Elizabeth: I wanted to help.

Lucky: I know, but I should've told you that you couldn't come.

Elizabeth: I insisted, remember? I wasn't about to take no for an answer. Anyhow, we'll get this all straightened out when we get back to Port Charles.

Lucky: I'm not so sure. I mean, normally, my dad would be spinning plans a, b, and c to get himself out of this. His mouth would be working just as fast.

Elizabeth: Yeah, arguing with the guards.

Lucky: Demanding a good meal.

Elizabeth: Complaining to anyone who'll listen.

Lucky: Look at him. He's so destroyed on what's happened to my mom. It's like he's given up hope.

Elizabeth: It's going to take time.

Lucky: My dad's just so determined on trashing his life. I don't think there's anything we could do to stop him.

Scott: Really? Ok, thanks. Justice is served. Luke has been apprehended.

Nikolas: Where'd they find him?

Scott: Some prison work camp down south. I guess he punched out the governor's son in a bar fight, broke his jaw. Typical, typical Spencer.

Gia: You're loving this, aren't you?

Scott: Being extradited back to Port Charles tonight.

Mac: Scott. Luke will be landing within the hour. I need the case file.

Scott: In my office.

Mac: I'll send someone to pick it up.

Scott: No, there's some stuff in that file that doesn't pertain to the case. I'll go to my office and get it, see you down at headquarters.

Mac: All right.

Scott: Well, I'm sorry, but I have to leave the party. I have some urgent business.

Monica: Oh?

Scott: Luke Spencer's finally been brought to justice. So I guess the right man is in the D.A.'S office after all.

Nikolas: There is something in that file that Scott does not want the police to find.

Gia: We've got to get our hands on it.

Nikolas: Let's go.

Courtney: I shot the wrong man.

Jason: Coleman broke into the apartment. He was attacking you.

Courtney: If he's the stalker, then who was that on the phone?

Jason: Courtney, we'll find out.

Courtney: Oh, god, what if -- what if I killed him? What if I killed an innocent man, Jason?

Jason: It was self-defense, Courtney. This guy was --

Sonny: So where's Alcazar?

Man: I don't know any alcazar.

Sonny: Don't lie to me!

Man: I swear. Look, I just came to the party.

Sonny: Yeah, dressed in the exact same outfit?

Man: It's a coincidence.

Sonny: You're lying to me. You are lying to me. Get out of here.

Carly: Sonny, let's just have a drink, ok?

Sonny: He works for Alcazar.

Carly: Ok, either that or he's completely innocent and he had nothing to say. You know what, either way, he wasn't going to say anything.

Sonny: Alcazar switched places with him to buy time, ok? He's headed for Brenda.

[Knock on door]

Brenda: Coming!

[Brenda screams]

Alcazar: The last thing I want is to hurt you, Brenda.

Alcazar: I only want to talk.

Brenda: About what?

Alcazar: We spent the last four years together. You know me better than anyone. Give me a chance to tell you the truth.

Brenda: Oh, you don't know how to tell the truth. What are you going to do? You going to kidnap me again?

Alcazar: How could I? We're in Sonny's building, surrounded by his guards.

Brenda: Yeah, well, you managed to get in.

Alcazar: To see you, that's all. Please, just hear me out.

Brenda: It's not going to make any difference.

Alcazar: Well, maybe not, but at least you'll hear what nobody else is willing to tell you.

Brenda: Oh, what is that supposed to mean?

Alcazar: You are ruining the lives of everybody you love, Brenda. Sonny and Jax both had lives before --

Brenda: Sonny and Jax love their wives, and I'm happy for them.

Alcazar: Is that why you married Jason?

Brenda: I married Jason because I wanted to. It's good for me.

Alcazar: Uh-huh.

Brenda: He's what I need.

Alcazar: It's an excuse to stay close to Sonny and Jax.

Brenda: Oh, shut up!

Alcazar: Your marriage is meaningless. You think it allows you to stay here without being a threat, but it doesn't because you don't love Jason! Every day that's going to go by, you're going to be more and more tempted, until eventually you're going to go back to Sonny and Jax, and then you're going to destroy their marriages, Brenda.

Brenda: No, I'm not.

Alcazar: You're already tempted. Can you honestly tell me you're not? You look at those guys and you think of your past. But you're fooling yourself.

Brenda: The past is over, and I know that.

Alcazar: Do you? Have you forgotten the reason you wanted to stay with me in the first place? You still want to spare them the pain of watching you lose your mind?

Brenda: Of course I do.

Alcazar: Then let me take you away.

Brenda: Jason's taking care of that.

Alcazar: Jason is tied to Sonny! I'm the only one that can give you what you want.

[Knock on door]

man: Ms. Barrett?

Brenda: Yeah?

Man: Mr. Corinthos sent me to check on you. You all right?

Brenda: Yeah. I'm fine.

Man: Are you sure?

Brenda: Yes, I'm sure.

Man: Ok. I'm here if you need me.

Alcazar: I made a promise to you, Brenda, to keep you away from the people you love so you can't hurt them.

Brenda: So I can't hurt them? You tried to kill them.

Sonny: Brenda said she's ok? Ok, you know what, just don't leave the penthouse floor at all. Thanks.

Carly: Brenda's all right?

Sonny: Well, that's -- that's what she told Marco.

Carly: And you're not sure?

Sonny: Well, I mean, look, Alcazar went to a lot of trouble to arrange this switch and, you know, he only did it for Brenda.

Carly: Then you should go to her. I mean, Sonny, I'm not going to keep you from taking care of her.

Sonny: Marco says Jason's not there, Brenda's alone. I'd just like to, you know --

Carly: It's ok, it's ok. You know what, you go, you do what you need to do.

Sonny: I know what it took for you to say that.

Carly: No, you don't.

Sonny: I just, you know -- I just got -- I need to check myself, you know?

Carly: Yeah, so go. Take care of what you need to take care of, because I don't want you at home in our bed with Brenda on your mind.

Sonny: All right, this is about safety. You know that. That's all it's about.

Carly: It's ok. It's ok.

Sonny: I'll see you, ok?

Carly: Ok. Be safe.

Nikolas: I stole this key when I was here with Lucky. I figure we might as well add burglary to breaking and entering.

Gia: Ok, hurry up.

Nikolas: Ok.

[Keys rattle and Scott whistles]

Nikolas: Scott!

Scott: What are you doing here?

Nikolas: Well, you and I need to talk.

Scott: No, we don't.

Nikolas: Yeah, we do, actually. You are using your position for revenge against Luke, aren't you?

Scott: What are you doing sniffing around my office? You trying to break in again?

Nikolas: You see? You see? You're giving Alexis exactly what she needs to beat you. You're proving that you are a corrupt individual by railroading an innocent man.

Scott: You know what -- get out of here, will you?

Nikolas: Let's go. So? So?

Gia: Scott took an audiotape out of Luke's file.

Nikolas: Ok, it must be evidence he doesn't want Mac to see.

Gia: We've got to get our hands on that tape.

Nikolas: Yeah.

A.J.: Are you all right? What -- what the hell happened here?

Jason: He's still alive.

A.J.: What's he doing here? How'd he get in?

Courtney: We need to call an ambulance, now.

Jason: Tell them he's been shot at least two or three times in the chest.

A.J.: All right, look, I'll take care of it, all right?

Courtney: Please, Jason, don't let him die. If I'm responsible for killing another man --

Jason: Courtney, he's still breathing on his own. It's ok.

A.J.: All right, look, yeah, a man's been shot. Send an ambulance. 243rd west end avenue, apartment 3-C. You shot him?

Courtney: I left the party early. I didn't tell you because you were having such a good time. Look, A.J., I came in and he just came out of nowhere wearing that mask, and -- and we fought, and somehow I managed to get in the kitchen and grab the gun and -- and I shot him. Ok, I didn't know that it was Coleman until I pulled off the mask.

A.J.: Where the hell did the gun come from?

Jason: I gave it to her.

A.J.: You had no business giving my wife a gun.

Jason: You left Courtney alone. You went out of town, A.J.

Courtney: Jason was just trying to help.

A.J.: By giving you a 9mm?

Jason: A stalker had already broken in here once.

A.J.: So what did you do, build on her fear, made sure she was good and scared?

Courtney: No, that's not what happened, A.J.

Jason: No, Courtney needed to be able to defend herself, that's what happened.

A.J.: Yeah, but by giving her a gun in the apartment?

Jason: What would Coleman have done to her if she hadn't had it?

A.J.: Why didn't you mention this to me?

Courtney: Will both of you just please stop it!

Taggert: Hey. Whoa, whoa, whoa! Slowly, slowly.

Paramedic: Can we come in? All right, here he is. Come on.

Taggert: What do we got here?

Jason: Ok, Coleman's been shot at least two --

paramedic: We have gunshot wounds.

Jason: Two, three times in the chest, from what I can tell.

Taggert: What was your weapon of choice?

Courtney: I shot him. Jason was trying to save his life.

Jason: Yeah, it was my gun, Taggert. It's registered to me.

Taggert: Ok, well, how did it get in Mrs. Quartermaines hands?

Jason: I gave it to her so she could protect herself from the stalker.

Taggert: How do you fit into this?

A.J.: I got here after -- after he'd already been shot. I called 911. But I recognized the mask because the stalker was wearing it the night I fought with him.

Jason: Yeah, he's right. I saw it before the guy knocked me out that night.

A.J.: Taggert, Coleman's been hanging around Courtney, showing up at Kelly's, using any excuse he can to speak with her. I mean, she suspected he was the stalker.

Taggert: Well, looks like you got your stalker.

Courtney: No. The real stalker -- he called me after I was attacked. I -- I may I shot the wrong man.

Reporter: Baldwin --

[reporters shout questions]

Scott: You'll get your stories for tomorrow, ok? Excuse me a second. Mac, what's the press doing here?

Mac: You mean why did they show up before you had time to change out of that costume?

Scott: Well, they must've got wind of Spencer's arrest.

Mac: Because you called them, Scott. Look, catching Luke days before the election is just what you need to pull your campaign out of the hole it fell into when you let Alcazar walk.

Scott: You know, what if I did? Spencer's big news!

[Reporters shout questions]

Lucky: Dad, do not let this idiot railroad you!

Luke: Congratulations. You got your man.

Bobbie: Carly, where's Sonny?

Carly: He is off protecting Brenda from Alcazar.

Bobbie: Oh. Well, it is understandable.

Carly: Excuse me?

Bobbie: Well, the man is a killer. Look what he did to Jax.

Carly: Ok, you know what, I really doubt that there's any worry that Brenda's going to get shot by Alcazar tonight, but of course, naturally, my husband has to run off and take care of her -- in her own home, by the way.

Bobbie: No, no, no. Alcazar is a manipulator. He charmed Maxie into dancing with him earlier. And then, when Felicia came up, he took off his mask and he revealed who he was, and both Felicia and Maxie were terrified, which, of course, is exactly what he wanted.

Carly: God, why doesn't that man just disappear.

Bobbie: Well, I'm sure he will eventually. They'll catch him.

Carly: Well, maybe I did the right thing then by sending Sonny off to Brenda.

Bobbie: You told Sonny to go?

Carly: Don't act so surprised, yes.

Bobbie: Well, it's just -- so grown-up.

Carly: Well, what else was I supposed to do? You know what, really, I would like to rip every single hair out of her head, but, look, the woman's dying.

Bobbie: And Sonny feels responsible for her welfare?

Carly: And I hate it. But I don't know how to fight her.

Bobbie: Oh, honey, just be honest. And no stunts and no crazy schemes. Just be honest with him and show him that he can trust you, and every day he'll know that he chose the right woman.

Carly: Yeah, and what if he decides that he didn't?

[Phone rings]

Bobbie: Hello? They're at the police station right now? Oh, my goodness. Thank you, Audrey. Well, Lucky is in trouble. He's at the police station. That was Audrey, so I got to go. Look, just don't forget -- be honest.

Carly: Yeah.

Bobbie: Be honest, ok?

Carly: Ok, ok, ok. Whoopee.

Edward: So, has Sonny left you for Brenda yet?

Brenda: You hurt the people that I love most in the world.

Alcazar: You made me promise to keep you away from those people by any means necessary. Now, I held off as long as I could. When you started showing symptoms --

Brenda: Wait, wait, wait, what do you mean? What symptoms?

Alcazar: You've had brief lapses, Brenda, episodes where your mind started to drift, blank spots on the yacht. You recall them? Out of nowhere, you'd just start talking about Sonny and Jax, and then you'd forget and go on with a conversation as if it never happened.

Brenda: No, I didn't do that. And I never asked you to bring me to Port Charles.

Alcazar: The last time we were in France, I caught you trying to make a phone call to Port Charles. Eventually, I knew that people would find out you were still alive and that it would make it harder for you to break apart. I intend to keep my promise, Brenda. I still want to do that.

Brenda: Then, Luis, for me, stop hurting people.

Alcazar: I don't care about those people one way or the other, Brenda. You are the only thing that matters to me. I've got a plane waiting to take you to Paris. I'll meet you there. If you want to be together, we'll go on as before. If you don't, then I'll let you go and I'll give you money and housing and all the care I promised, no strings attached.

Brenda: I don't believe anything that you say.

Alcazar: This is what you asked me to do, Brenda, right from the beginning. Do you want it or not?

Sonny: Take him out, kill him.

Carly: I hate to disappoint you, Edward, but Sonny and I have never been happier.

Edward: Oh, what a marvelously brave front. You know, I should think that your heart would be breaking after what I just heard.

Carly: Edward, don't start.

Edward: No, no, no, no. Hey, I just wanted to offer you my sympathies, that's all.

Carly: Oh, really? And also tell me that if Sonny and I, we break up, that Michael always has a home?

Edward: No, you see, I just wanted to ensure the welfare of little Michael's mother.

Carly: Oh, that's very thoughtful of you.

Edward: And just know that our door is always open to Michael, hmm?

Carly: Could you for one moment show a little support for Brenda and Jason, seeing that the ink isn't even dry on their marriage certificate?

Alan: Are you undermining Jason's marriage already?

Edward: God, you know, you don't actually think that they married for love, do you?

Monica: You could give them a chance, Edward.

Edward: Oh, don't be naive. The only reason that Brenda married Jason was so she could be closer to Sonny!

Alan: And I certainly understand you thinking like that.

Edward: Hey, it's working, isn't it?

Carly: No, it's not.

Edward: All right, then. Where is your husband right now? Some important business meeting?

Brenda: Don't kill anyone for me.

Sonny: He's not getting another chance to hurt you.

Brenda: Wow, you know, I always knew, but I've never heard you actually say those words out loud.

Sonny: Well, I've warned him to stay away a lot of times now, so --

Brenda: Well, I don't want any more violence, so you either call the police or you let him go!

Sonny: Max, escort Mr. Alcazar outside.

Alcazar: It appears the lady doesn't want to be rescued.

Sonny: Get him out of here.

Alcazar: You're lying to Brenda and to your wife.

Sonny: Why isn't Jason looking out for you?

Brenda: I'm taking care of myself, and don't you ever barge in here and order someone to be killed in front of me.

Sonny: Have you forgotten who this man is?

Scott: As soon as I heard that Luke Spencer and his son, lucky, had escaped from the work camp, I called the sheriff's department, they organized a search party, and they arrested them soon after. Get him out of here and hose him down.

Reporter: Where exactly was he caught? Was anyone injured?

Second reporter: Was his son in camp with him?

Scott: No, no, no, Luke -- Luke Spencer killed Rick Webber, but there are other victims in this case -- the son of a fugitive, who has made a lot of bad decisions based on the fact that he loves his father and refuses to believe the worst about him.

Lucky: That's because my father didn't do anything.

Scott: Lucky Spencer and Elizabeth Webber made it possible for me to apprehend Luke Spencer. I owe them a debt of gratitude.

Lucky: Oh, what are you trying to pull now?

Scott: And in the spirit of that, I am dropping charges against Lucky Spencer.

Lucky: Oh, that's so nice. You know, you trying to get the sympathy vote now, Baldwin? Look at this -- compassionate candidate Baldwin.

Elizabeth: Lucky --

Lucky: Vote for him.

Elizabeth: Lucky, are you trying to get yourself thrown in jail?

Lucky: He's just jerking everybody around.

Elizabeth: Well, you can't help Luke if you're behind bars, ok?

Scott: I'm also dropping charges against Elizabeth Webber, and I'm releasing the both of them into the custody of Audrey Hardy and Bobbie Spencer.

Audrey: Oh, darling. Are you all right, dear?

Elizabeth: I'm fine, Gram. I'm all right.

Lucky: Which is more than I can say for my dad.

Bobbie: Did Luke even try to defend himself?

Lucky: He doesn't want to. He's just giving up.

Bobbie: Well, Scott will play that for all it's worth.

Audrey: Come on, let's go.

Nikolas: Proud of yourself, Baldwin?

Scott: Absolutely. I've brought a fugitive to justice.

Nikolas: Oh, come on, man, you stumbled into that on your own.

Scott: That's not what it's going to say in the papers tomorrow.

Nikolas: Really? So what's next, you going to throw some money into a few commercials, tout your legal brilliance? Huh?

Scott: That's not a bad idea. Have you ever thought you might want to be a media consultant?

Nikolas: Well, you're doing too good of a job by yourself, Scott.

A.J.: There was another call?

Courtney: It's the same person who's been calling all along.

A.J.: You sure?

Courtney: It's exactly the same voice.

A.J.: But it doesn't make any sense.

Taggert: Are you sure Coleman was trying to attack you?

Courtney: He did attack me.

Taggert: Yeah, well, you used to work for the man. Maybe you mistook his intentions.

A.J.: What in the hell are you implying?

Courtney: He was tearing at my dress! I had to fight him off!

Jason: Coleman broke in, he was waiting for her. That doesn't change what the --

Taggert: Look, I'm just trying to put the pieces together like you are, all right? Are you willing to come down to the PCPD so I can make a formal report?

Courtney: Fine. I have nothing to hide.

Taggert: Follow in your own car.

A.J.: I'll be right there.    You set her up to shoot Coleman.

Jason: Oh, come -- think what you want.

A.J.: Admit it, you had her so wound up, she probably would've shot me if I walked through that door. Or was that what you were hoping for?

Jason: If I wanted to hurt you, I wouldn't use Courtney to do it.

A.J.: Sure you would, in a heartbeat.

Jason: We don't have time for this, A.J.

A.J.: You played on this whole situation to make Courtney depend on you, Jason the savior. Convenient way to get close to my wife, right?

Jason: If this stalker's still out there, who you more concerned about, me or him?

A.J.: Ok, so what'd the guy say on the phone?

Jason: I don't know.

A.J.: Well, does she have any idea who it is?

Jason: Well, she was too shaken up to think straight. She's about to confess to gunning some guy down. She shouldn't spend any more time alone with Taggert than she has to.

A.J.: Oh. I guess you're going to run to her rescue yet again, right?

Jason: If I can help Courtney, I will.

Lucky: You know, you didn't have to bring me all the way home.

Elizabeth: Oh, I know. God, I've been dying for this.

Lucky: Pumpkin pie?

Elizabeth: Oh, no, not just pie -- pie a la serious vanilla.

Lucky: I guess it's been a while since we've eaten.

Elizabeth: Oh, well, it's not just that. The whole time I was acting like my life was about discount nail polish for those hillbilly guards, I was thinking, "do this and you can have pie."

[Elizabeth chuckles]

Lucky: Well, you do look good in a miniskirt.

Elizabeth: Oh, well, thank you. Here, pig out on me.

Lucky: No, I'm ok, thanks.

Elizabeth: Oh, come on, I can tell you want to talk.

Lucky: No, really, Elizabeth, I'm wasted.

Elizabeth: Ok, well, then I'll make you some coffee.

Lucky: I'm cool. Thanks.

[Elizabeth grunts]

Lucky: Hey. What are you doing, you trying to kill me?

Elizabeth: Yeah, well, I could with these.

Lucky: Hey! Come on!

Elizabeth: Oh, come on, I'm not tired. I just want to talk. Please!

Lucky: Fine. But you're doing the talking because I'm all talked-out.

Elizabeth: All right, fine. That's fair. I can handle two sides of the conversation. You know, that creepy deputy Whelan guy, he had his hand on my thigh the entire ride back.

Lucky: What? How come you didn't tell me earlier?

Elizabeth: Oh, wait, I thought you were too tired to talk.

Lucky: You shouldn't have been in the situation in the first place.

Elizabeth: Well, I was. Here, knock yourself out. If you ask me, mega carbs are a better splurge. Hey, why don't you just go to bed.

Lucky: No, you know what, Elizabeth? You really came through for my family tonight, and it was wrong of me to ask for your help.

Elizabeth: Well, if I remember correctly, I offered.

Lucky: Yeah, but still, getting you involved was very dangerous and it was selfish.

Elizabeth: Hey. You know, when it comes to family, you don't know how to be selfish.

Lucky: Really? If that's true, how come I just sold out my dad?

Luke: Well, if it ain't Dudley do-right.

Scott: Well, I did get my man.

Luke: So what's up now, boss? Pentonville again or Sing Sing?

Scott: Oh, I hope Sing Sing. You know, you're getting exactly what you deserve, Spencer.

Luke: Is that what I'm getting?

Scott: Absolutely, because, you know, you're a fool. You do whatever you want and you just mow down anybody who gets in your way.

Luke: Ooh, that sounds scary.

Scott: You went charging into the institution, ignored the doctor's orders, and messed with Laura's mind. It drives you crazy that you can't help her, so you just forced your way in there and you left her in a catatonic state. Are you happy with what your inflated ego has accomplished, Spencer?

Luke: You sent her away before I had a chance to get through to her.

Scott: I rescued her, and now you're going to rot --

Luke: Save it for the press! You sending me away has nothing to do with anything except you clearing a path to my wife, and we both know it.

[Tape plays]

Laura's voice: I did it. I killed my own father.

[Tape stops]

Alexis: That's it. That's all we need to exonerate Luke.

Nikolas: Alexis, there is no way my mother knew what she was saying.

Alexis: It's a valid confession and that's what Luke has been covering up, and I'm sure Scott blackmailed Luke into taking the blame by threatening that he was going to prosecute Laura.

Nikolas: You're right.

Alexis: I'm taking this to Scott.

Nikolas: No, no, no, that tape will get my mother convicted for killing her stepfather. No.

Alexis: Nikolas, I don't have any intention of making this go public, but I'm certainly going to threaten Scott with the possibility.

Gia: It proves that he knew Luke was innocent but he sent him to jail anyways.

Alexis: Scott does not want this to go public.

Nikolas: You can't guarantee that it won't.

Carly: Sonny's whereabouts are none of your business.

Edward: Mm-hmm. Sonny is with Brenda, and Jason is nowhere to be found.

Monica: Will you stop stirring up trouble?

Edward: You don't believe Brenda's gloriously romantic story of their wedding, do you?

Alan: Well, maybe she was exaggerating a little.

Edward: Oh, god, it's a blatant pack of lies!

Monica: You know, a lot of the marriages in this family started out for the wrong reason, Edward. Maybe Jason and Brenda married for convenience sake, but who knows where it's going to lead.

Alan: Monica's right. Maybe if Jason is happy, he'll come back to the family.

Edward: Oh, yes, and pigs might fly.

Alan: God, you're such a pessimist.

Edward: And you live in a fool's paradise. You know something, Carly, I'd have thought you'd see through this from the very beginning.

Carly: Ok, you know what, Brenda is Sonny's past. He's over her.

Sonny: You were desperate to escape Alcazar. You never wanted to see him again.

Brenda: He came to the door. He wanted to talk to me.

Sonny: Oh --

Brenda: I tried to shut the door on him.

Sonny: And that turned you around, one moment of sincerity?

Brenda: You know what, don't worry about it. You're not in charge of me anymore.

Sonny: You know what he did?

Brenda: Yes, I know what he did!

Sonny: He walked into that party and he planted a decoy so nobody would see and he could get out!

Brenda: Well, why do you think he did that? That was the only way he could talk to me without having his life threatened!

Sonny: You've been through hell and back with this guy. Why are you defending him?

Brenda: What, are you crazy? I'm not defending him! I'm sorry, Sonny, I don't want people killing each other.

Sonny: The law cannot touch him. So he's out doing what he does best --

Brenda: Oh, god.

Sonny: Playing with people's minds. That includes you.

Brenda: Yeah, right, ok. Thank you for your brilliant analysis.

Sonny: He's using you. Your illness, everything you guys had? He's making you forget he's a killer.

Brenda: I'll never forget he's a killer or a liar or a criminal. Huh. What, you can't imagine how I could be with somebody like that?

Sonny: It's not the same.

Brenda: Yeah, you're right, it's not the same. At least he's pretending like he's trying to help me.

Sonny: How? What is he trying to get you to do?

Luke: Why are you holding back? Why don't you go all the way? Why don't you send me to maximum-security for life and then bring Laura back here, nurse her back to health yourself? You could do that while you stumble around, playing hit man for the justice system.

Scott: Not a bad idea.

Nikolas: Can I have a few words with Luke?

Scott: Knock yourself out.

Nikolas: Hey, man.

Luke: Go away, Nikolas.

Nikolas: I just have to tell you --

Luke: I don't want to hear it! Just go away!

Nikolas: Listen to me. Your conviction can be overturned, all right? Gia and I broke into Scott's office and recovered the tape of mom's confession for murder.

Luke: Destroy it.

Nikolas: I cannot destroy it. I gave it to Alexis.

Luke: You what?

Nikolas: Damn it, Luke, listen to me, I gave it to Alexis so she can cut a deal with Scott so he will let you go.

Luke: Guard!

Jason: Hey.

Courtney: You had a fight with A.J., Didn't you?

Jason: He blames me for what happened.

Courtney: It's not your fault, it's mine.

Jason: Courtney, you were defending yourself.

Courtney: What if Coleman's not the stalker?

Jason: Who cares. He attacked you.

Courtney: God, Jason, I just don't get it. That was the stalker's voice on the phone. I know it.

Jason: Well, hopefully, Coleman pulls through. Maybe he can give us some answers.

Alcazar: I've been waiting for you. I got good news -- I'm getting Brenda out of town. Sonny will never have to see her again. All I need from you is to give Brenda a little push in the right direction.

Sonny: What kind of game is Alcazar running on you?

Brenda: Don't worry about it. You're not in charge of the time I have left. You should just go.

Sonny: Is that why you're listening to this man, because you're dying?

Brenda: I don't know.

Sonny: So you're just going to give up, go away with a killer because you think your life means nothing?

Brenda: My life does mean nothing, and I have to remember that, so --

Sonny: What would you want if you weren't dying?

Lucky: Who am I, Elizabeth?

Elizabeth: Oh, please, let's not do the whole amnesia thing again. You're Lucky Spencer. You're a great photographer, a better friend, a devoted son and brother --

Lucky: And I'm messing it all up?

Elizabeth: By pulling your dad back from the edge?

Lucky: Is that what I did?

Elizabeth: Lucky, your dad's mourning. Everyone thinks they know what that's like until they've actually lived it.

Lucky: He told me to leave him alone.

Elizabeth: He doesn't know what he's saying right now. Believe me, there is nothing like grief. When you lose somebody you love, it is so hard not to think you're the only person in the entire world who's ever felt that type of pain. And it is so strong, every breath hurts. And if every moment feels like little knives going through your skin, then why go on breathing?

Lucky: That's how my dad feels right now.

Elizabeth: Yes, but your dad is a survivor. Maybe all the problems he's had in the past, maybe they've all been cakewalks -- I doubt it -- but maybe this is the first time he's actually felt like he can't go on. I mean, nobody thinks that they can get through the type of pain that he's feeling.

Lucky: But we do.

Elizabeth: If we all died from being sad --

Lucky: That would be a solution to the gridlock problem.

Elizabeth: Hey, stop being funny.

Lucky: Sure beats being angry at yourself.

Elizabeth: You and I both know your dad would've been worse off had we done nothing.

Lucky: I don't know about that. He could be doing six months at some backwoods prison camp, and now he's looking at a life at Pentonville -- because of me. I pushed too hard.

Elizabeth: Ok, but there is still hope. Alexis could get elected, she can get your dad off, and then we'll all work together to get his life back, his reason for living. Your dad's just a little lost right now. We're going to help him find his way back.

Lucky: No. No one can do that. Not if he doesn't want to.

Elizabeth: Lucky, he loves you.

Lucky: And right now I'm in his way.

Elizabeth: Hey. You know what? You did the right thing, no matter how it may feel.

Lucky: There's only one person that's ever been able to help my dad.

Elizabeth: Your mom.

Lucky: And right now I don't even think she could save him from Scott Baldwin.

Scott: The message that I want to give to the voters is simple -- I will bring law and order to Port Charles. The Luke Spencer arrest is an example of my commitment. Uh -- anything else? Ok, well, I look forward to seeing it in the newspaper tomorrow. Good-bye. Yeah?

Alexis: The law-and-order candidate?

Scott: No, the law-and-order D.A.

Alexis: Not even close.

Scott: Oh, well, Spencer's arrest is all I need to beat you, and I will.

Alexis: You're on this tape -- so is Laura, confessing to the murder of Rick Webber. Release Luke or I will release this to the press, proving that you framed an innocent man.

[Coleman groans]

nurse: Don't try to speak. You just came out of surgery. The police will come by later. You can tell them whatever you need to, but right now you have to rest.

[Pager beeps]

nurse: They need us in the E.R.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Scott: I'll let Spencer go when you pull out of the race.

Courtney: I'm going to go to the hospital. I want to find out what Coleman has to say.

[Coleman groans]

Brenda: Get out.

Sonny: What?

Brenda: No, don't tell me what I need. Get out!

Sonny: I'm going!

Brenda: Good!

Alcazar: Make Brenda never want to see Port Charles again.
