General Hospital Transcript Tuesday 10/25/02
>> Previously on "General Hospital" --
Sonny: You'd better get out of the rain.
Ned: I already love this child. I'm going to do everything I possibly can to protect her.
Courtney: Are you hurt?
Jason: No, it's ok. I'm all right.
[door lock clicks]
Courtney: No! No! No! No! Get off of me! Oh! Oh, Jason.
A.J.: What is it? I missed you. I missed you while I was gone. I thought you felt the same.
Courtney: I did miss you. It's -- I just had a nightmare.
A.J.: About what?
Courtney: The stalker.
A.J.: I'm here. I'm not going to let anything happen to you.
Courtney: I know. I'm so glad to have you back. We have each other, A.J. That's all that matters.
Lucky: This is the address.
Elizabeth: Your dad had his will executed here?
Lucky: Maybe there's a law firm upstairs.
Elizabeth: Well, it wouldn't surprise me. This is Luke we're talking about.
Lucky: That's a good point.
Lucky: Excuse me. Hi. I'm looking for someone. I was told he came in here recently.
Bartender: He sure did. And when I find this psycho, he's dead.
Alexis: Good morning.
Nikolas: You look cheerful.
Alexis: I am working on a summation speech for my campaign, so -- here we go. "As I contemplate the world my daughter will be born into, I feel more determined than ever to eliminate the crime and corruption that have plagued this city. Therefore --"
Gia: The speech is great, but it'll never get you elected.
Nikolas: The latest polls show that the voters have doubt you can actually do the job.
Alexis: I am proposing a series of legal measures.
Gia: Well, they want a legal measure of your own.
Alexis: Excuse me?
Nikolas: Alexis, you cannot win unless you get married.
Therapist: Nine, 10. Excellent, Mr. Jacks.
Jax: Now let's do one more set.
Therapist: Your determination is impressive.
Jax: There's a woman waiting for me to walk back into her life. I want that day to be soon.
Nurse: This letter was left for you, Mr. Jacks.
Skye's voice: "Dear Jax, I know how hard you're working on your recovery and how focused you are on getting your life back the way it was. But being this close and staying away from you is almost unbearable, so I've decided to leave town for a few days."
Skye: Excuse me.
Nurse: May I help you?
Skye: My name is Antoinette Quartermaine. I had called yesterday to try to set up an appointment with one of your doctors, but you said that the schedule was all booked up. I was just hoping that you could make some time to see me.
Nurse: Is this an emergency?
Skye: I don't know. I have been diagnosed with this disorder, an illness where I'm supposed to deteriorate rapidly. I just would like to know how much time I have left.
Nurse: I will ask the doctor if he can see you.
nurse: You're in luck. The doctor can see you immediately.
Sonny: Jason? Ok, look, do me a favor. When you get in, you call me, ok? Bye.
Carly: Good morning.
Sonny: You were out early.
Carly: Well, I had a shopping emergency. I had to replace the crystal that got broken. I want everything to be put back the way it was.
Edward: Brenda didn't come home last night. Now, if you're involved in any way --
Sonny: I have not seen Brenda since last night.
Edward: Well, I wouldn't put it past you to have taken advantage of her vulnerability and carted her away somewhere.
Sonny: You know what, Edward? You're letting your imagination run wild with you.
Edward: I swear, if you touch so much as a hair on that little girl's head --
Sonny: I didn't.
Edward: Well, then, I'm calling the police.
Sonny: Don't. Listen, if Brenda is gone, it's because she wants to be.
Carly: My God, you finally did it. You sent Brenda away.
Carly: You asked me to be honest.
Carly: Ok, it goes both ways. I saw you and Brenda in the rain at the hospital when she was working you for everything that she --
Sonny: Ok, I can't -- right now I can't do that. You know why? Because I -- I can't get a hold of Jason. He disappeared. I haven't been able to talk to him or anything, ok? It's not like him not to call me.
Carly: I saw Jason at the hospital yesterday, and I told him that I saw you and Brenda together.
Sonny: So what?
Carly: So he said she wouldn't be a problem anymore, and -- oh, my God, he did it.
Sonny: He did what?
Carly: He did it. He took care of that problem and he took Brenda away.
Jax: You know, I want you to come back for another session today.
Therapist: You need time to rest.
Jax: I know my limits. I can do another workout.
Therapist: Too much too soon can cause more injury.
Jax: You know, someone helped me when I'd given up. And soon that person's going to need my help in return, so I want to be ready for that.
Therapist: You're making incredible progress, Mr. Jacks. You don't need to prove to your wife that you're some kind of superman.
Jax: Right. I am going to track her down.
Monica: What, you already heard?
Jax: Yeah. Skye gave me a letter that she was going away.
Monica: No. I'm talking about Brenda. We've been worried sick.
Jax: Why? What happened?
Monica: Well, she didn't come home last night. She's missing.
Skye: I was estranged from my mother for many years, and when she returned, she told me that she'd been diagnosed with this disease and that I had a 50/50 chance of having it. I was tested in the United States and was told that I do indeed have my mother's illness.
Doctor: Have you experienced any preliminary symptoms.
Skye: Well, no, none so far. Doctor, I need to know if there's any chance that I've been misdiagnosed, people that maybe you've come across that were told they had the disease and it turns out that they don't. I'm sorry to sound so desperate, but the truth is I guess I really am. Can you just give me some hope here? I really need something to hang on to.
Doctor: I do know of one such case.
Skye: That's wonderful! Is she here in Switzerland?
Doctor: I didn't say she was a woman.
Skye: Oh, I'm sorry. I guess I'm just trying to put myself in their place, trying to imagine how they felt.
Doctor: I'm sorry, Ms. Quartermaine. I can't give you any information about another patient's case.
A.J.: You can't stop thinking about the nightmare about the stalker, can you?
Courtney: I just -- I feel off balance after what happened yesterday.
A.J.: You're going to be ok. I promise.
Courtney: Life is so messy. You have all these expectations and plans. You think that's the way it's going to be, and then something unexpected crashes in and it just totally shakes your faith.
A.J.: We'll fix it. We'll get things back to the way they were. You won't have to worry anymore.
Courtney: I know. It'll all get straightened out. It just brings up questions, if that makes any sense at all.
A.J.: Hey, you can come to me if you're feeling uncertain about anything. You know that, don't you? Ok?
Courtney: Ok. I have to go to work.
Alexis: The voters want me to get married?
Nikolas: Yes, that's right.
Alexis: Well, that's absurd. I'm not going to make a major life decision based on an opinion poll.
Gia: But couldn't you at least consider it?
Alexis: All right. There, I've considered it. Now, anyway, about my speech --
Gia: Alexis --
Gia: Think about it. It could be so romantic -- you and Ned in a church bursting with flowers -- white lilies are fabulously photogenic -- and you'll have flickering candlelight along the aisles, a few strobes for cameras, of course, and we'll give --
Alexis: I'm not playing bridal Barbie for the media.
Nikolas: Ok, Alexis, all we are saying is if you're considering getting married at some point, maybe now is the time, all right? Assuming Ned agrees.
Ned: Did I hear my name?
Alexis: The opinion polls are out. The wonderful news is that opinions haven't budged in half a century.
Nikolas: The voters think the district attorney should marry the father of her child.
Ned: Oh. So you want Alexis to marry me?
Gia: If she wants to win.
Alexis: There are millions of women in this country who are discriminated on a regular basis because of antiquated attitudes like that.
Nikolas: Ok, the job is demanding, yes, but the public believes that she cannot do it without the support of a spouse.
Alexis: Well --
Nikolas: It's not my opinion, ok?
Alexis: A wedding ring or lack thereof isn't going to make me better at my job.
Nikolas: I agree, but the voters don't.
Alexis: So the future of Port Charles isn't important, but me standing, you know, at an altar surrounded by lilies is?
Gia: Nikolas is telling you what it'll take for you to win. If you want to affect real change in the D.A.'s office, then you'll do it. Otherwise, I'd say get yourself a soapbox and a megaphone.
Alexis: Thank you for that encouraging assessment.
Ned: Look, Alexis needs to avoid stress, so let's just table this for the moment.
Nikolas: Fine, ok, but it can't wait long, all right?
Ned: I understand. Now, if you don't mind, could you just leave, please?
Alexis: Thank you.
Ned: You're welcome.
Alexis: You want to stay for lunch? They're having rubber chicken and jell-o.
Ned: No. I have an E.L.Q. Meeting. I just came by to say hi.
Ned: Hi. You know, my best advice for you is to focus your campaign on some issues that have absolutely nothing to do with your personal life.
Elizabeth: So you are a lawyer?
Bartender: I got my degree over the net.
Lucky: That's impressive.
Bartender: It beats watching reruns.
Lucky: I can imagine you get all sorts of clients around here.
Bartender: Oh, yeah. I defend assault, robbery, manslaughter all the time. There's a knife fight out in the parking lot at least once a month. Oh, I'm sorry, honey. I didn't mean to scare you.
Elizabeth: I'm not -- I'm not scared.
Bartender: She looks like a sweet girl. This bar is no place for her.
Elizabeth: Thanks, but I can handle myself.
Lucky: When did this guy come in to see you?
Bartender: Last week. Said his name was Lucas Lorenzo Spencer. He needed his last will and testament drawn up ASAP.
Lucky: How'd he know about you?
Bartender: I'm pretty well-known around these parts. Like I said, assault charges, DUIs --
Lucky: Yeah, you handle all those, huh?
Bartender: My specialty is job-related injury, but, yeah, I like to cover my bases.
Lucky: You wrote up the will.
Bartender: Yeah. I did a damn fine job, too, till he stiffed me on the bill.
Lucky: Oh. He didn't.
Bartender: Yeah, I kid you not. He grabbed the paper and he took off with his girlfriend Trixie.
Lucky: You have any idea where he went?
Bartender: If I did, he'd be in a world of pain. Are you his kid or something?
Lucky: Yeah. Why?
Bartender: Because somebody's got to pay, and it looks like it's going to be you.
Sonny: Jason could be anyplace.
Carly: Yeah, but both Brenda and he are missing.
Carly: Look, Jason knew you wanted Brenda taken care of, and she wanted to go to Europe, right?
Carly: Maybe he just took her there himself.
Sonny: He has been making some judgment calls on his own lately, but --
Carly: Oh, and you said she was starting to lose it, so maybe -- come on, you know he wants to take care of her for you and he's on our side. What do you think?
Sonny: Yeah, it's --
Carly: You like it?
Sonny: It's all right.
Carly: Yeah. You know, I'm actually glad that you smashed the other one because I hated it.
Sonny: Yeah, me, too.
Carly: So we're going to put things back and make them better than they were before, huh?
[Knock on door]
Paulie: Mr. Corinthos?
Paulie: Your sister's here.
Sonny: Come on in.
Courtney: I was just looking for Jason. I knocked on his door, but there was no answer.
Sonny: Well, he's out on business.
Courtney: Well, he didn't mention it.
Sonny: Is there anything I can do?
Courtney: It's sort of private. I'd rather tell him in person.
Sonny: All right.
Courtney: Basically, I just want to thank him for all the help he's given me with the stalker thing.
Sonny: Well, I'm glad he could help.
Courtney: I wanted to thank you, too.
Sonny: With what?
Courtney: Well, for being so cool when I was terrible to you and, you know, caring about me and all, you know.
Sonny: Well --
Courtney: And for telling Jason to look out for me. I really -- I don't know what I would have done for the last month or so without him.
Sonny: I got to get that.
Sonny: Yep. Benny, wait. Hold on. I got to get this upstairs. Can you stay till I get back?
Courtney: Yeah, sure.
Sonny: All right.
Carly: So, Jason -- he's pretty great, huh?
Jax: I want all your energy and resources focused on this search. If you don't have an answer by the end of the day, I'll hire someone else.
Alexis: Hey. I see your injuries haven't interfered with your competitive state.
Jax: Look who's talking. You had a press conference from your hospital bed?
Alexis: I was just trying to project a calm and a controlling state as opposed to your combative state. What's going on?
Jax: Brenda's missing. I have to find her.
Jax: Because she's missing, because no one knows where she is.
Alexis: Well, maybe if she chose to leave Port Charles, maybe you should respect that.
Jax: It's not that simple. See, Brenda's ill. She's going to need my help soon. I can't just leave her alone.
Alexis: Can't or won't?
Jax: See, that's not the point.
Alexis: Ok. All right. Well, let's get to the point. Are you still in love with her?
Jax: I'm in love with my wife.
Alexis: Meaning Skye? Brenda would have been your wife had she not gone off the cliff.
Jax: Yes, that's right. She also would have been my wife if she'd come back to me after the accident, but she didn't.
Alexis: You sound like you're maybe a little angry.
Jax: Yeah. There's a part of me that's still mad as hell that she didn't come back.
Alexis: Well, have you told her that?
Jax: Brenda's tried to explain it. You know, she -- she said she didn't want me suffering through her illness with her, and sometimes I understand, but other times I think about the promises that we made to each other -- you know, that we'd be honest with one another and --
Alexis: I would imagine Skye might be sensing some ambivalence.
Jax: Look, I love Skye as much as the day I married her.
Alexis: I'm sure you do. But the woman you were going to spend the rest of your life with has just returned.
Jax: I'm committed to Skye.
Alexis: And connected to Brenda, which is probably a little painful for Skye.
Jax: Yeah, I suppose it is.
Alexis: I just want you to be careful that you don't end up devastating the person that you least want to harm.
Skye: What's taking the doctor so long?
Nurse: He's waiting for your test results.
Skye: Oh, maybe they're ready. Would you mind checking?
Nurse: The doctor will bring them in as soon as they're ready.
nurse: I have to check on a patient.
Doctor: Ms. Quartermaine, what are you doing?
Lucky: My old man's a deadbeat. He walked out on his family with every penny we had.
Elizabeth: Leaving behind a mountain of debt.
Lucky: I promised my brother that I would find him.
Elizabeth: If you want a piece of Luke, you're going to have to get in line.
Bartender: Maybe Trixie knows where he is.
Elizabeth: His girlfriend?
Bartender: She rides with the Thunderbirds sometimes.
Lucky: Where can I find the Thunderbirds?
Bartender: Well, they'll be back in here later on this afternoon.
Lucky: Fine. We'll stick around.
Bartender: I don't know if it's going to be worth your trouble.
Lucky: How do you mean?
Bartender: Your old man's not long for this world.
Lucky: I hope this Thunderbird lead pans out.
Elizabeth: No, no, don't worry. We'll catch up with him. And if he's not with Trixie, we'll ask her where she last saw him --
Lucky: No, Elizabeth, I'm going to handle this on my own.
Elizabeth: You need backup.
Lucky: I'm just going to ask a few questions and then clear out of this place.
Elizabeth: Well, maybe Trixie would rather speak to a woman.
Lucky: I can handle it.
Elizabeth: Lucky, I came here to help you.
Lucky: You can help by going back to the hotel and waiting there.
Skye: Oh, I just -- I couldn't stand waiting. My mind was just shooting off in all different directions, imagining the worst.
Doctor: Was it?
Skye: Yes, I just -- I couldn't wait one minute longer, so I went rifling into that file cabinet looking for some hope, you know? Maybe I'd find that person that was misdiagnosed, the one that we talked about.
Doctor: I'll give you some hope. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you.
Skye: Do you mean that, doctor? Are you sure?
Doctor: Very sure. You lied about having this disease. So why are you really here?
Skye: I told you, I was diagnosed in the United States, but this is -- whew! That's a relief, doc. You have no idea.
Doctor: I think I do. You will leave immediately or I'll have you escorted out.
Skye: Well, I would think that you could work up a little sympathy for me, you know?
Skye: Of all the rude, arrogant people --
Alexis: I mean, I'm certainly in no position to judge. Considering my track record, I shouldn't say anything at all.
Jax: Well, at least you know what you want.
Alexis: I do? Oh. Yeah. You know, the opinion polls are pushing me into this Ersatz version of happily-ever-after because I'm pregnant.
Jax: Oh, hold on a second. Happily-ever-after as in married?
Alexis: Apparently, they don't want a single mother as district attorney.
Jax: Oh, ignore them.
Alexis: I am. I just can't seem to get the idea of marrying Ned out of my mind.
Jax: Really? What's in your heart?
Alexis: I don't know. I mean, every book, every poem I know -- it says listen to your heart, listen to your heart. Well, you know what? If you're over 10, it gets a little complicated. In fact, it's utterly confusing. I can't just disconnect my head from my heart and go, "ah, see? Now, I know how I feel."
Jax: You can't?
Alexis: No, I can't. You can't. You know, there's things that factor in. There's experience, there's personality, there's circumstances. There are any number of variables.
Jax: So, what, love is just too uncertain?
Alexis: Yes, it is, actually. In fact, I'm not even sure pure love exists.
Jax: Oh, it does. Believe me.
Alexis: Ok, then I'm not sure that I've ever been able to recognize it.
Jax: Go with your gut.
Alexis: First, it's my heart. Now it's my gut. So if that doesn't work, what internal organ will be next?
Jax: Ok, forget the internal organs. Just go with your intuition. Let's start at the beginning, ok? How do you feel about Ned?
Alexis: I -- yeah, I feel --
Jax: What? How do you feel about him?
Alexis: Well, fine. That is how I feel. It's real. I mean, it's certainly -- it's stood the test of time. It probably will forever.
Jax: Sounds like love to me.
Alexis: It does?
Alexis: That's it?
Alexis: That's it?
Jax: That's it.
Alexis: Oh. Oh, I don't -- I don't -- I don't know. I -- I don't know. Really, I don't know.
Jax: I don't understand why you're so afraid of marriage. I mean, you're good at it. When you were married to me, you were a great wife.
Alexis: Yeah, but that was you. That was an arrangement.
Jax: Yeah, but then just think how much better it will be if you're with the man that you love.
Jax: Yes, Ned. Don't run from love, Alexis. When you see a chance like this, you grab it and you hang on to it tight.
Courtney: Jason has been wonderful to me.
Carly: You like having him around, huh?
Courtney: Like I said, he helped me out. Things have been kind of crazy.
Carly: Yeah, he's been strong for you and supportive.
Courtney: That's right. Yeah.
Carly: He's not hard to look at it, either, is he?
Courtney: Sounds like you have a thing for him.
Carly: Well, Courtney, actually, I did. I mean, but why wouldn't I? He's reliable and he's strong and he will protect you and fight for you if he needs to, and he's really -- he's unlike most men.
Courtney: You know, A.J. Was out of town trying to get his money back so he could provide for me. As soon as he got home, he took care of me.
Carly: Why did you think I was referring to A.J.?
Courtney: Look, Carly, whatever you're getting at, you're wrong, ok?
Carly: Ok. I'm just -- I'm just saying be careful, ok, because A.J.'s going to freak.
Courtney: So this is about you hating A.J.?
Carly: Ok, you're obviously in denial about this.
Courtney: Or is it about Jason? Because you act like you own him. Like anyone that wants to spend time with him has to pass the Carly test.
Carly: Ok, Courtney, I hit a nerve, and I didn't mean to, so I apo--
Courtney: Jason and I are just friends. Sonny trusts him completely, and so do I. And that's it. So whatever else is going on in your head, just keep it to yourself, ok, because I don't want to hear it.
Sonny: What is it that you don't want to hear? Huh? What?
Courtney: Do me a favor --
Courtney: And tell Jason that I'm grateful for all of his help, but A.J.'s home, so he doesn't have to come by anymore. Tell him that I appreciate his friendship a lot. I got to go.
Sonny: Courtney, where are you going? You just got here. You want some coffee or something?
Courtney: No, I -- I got to meet A.J.
Carly: Hey. Ok, get ready, because your little sister -- she's got a thing for Jason.
Nurse: The doctor told me there's nothing wrong with you and to call the police if you come back.
Skye: No, wait, don't do that. Ok, I will tell you the truth. A woman has resurfaced from my husband's past, and she claims to have this disease. My husband was in love with her years ago, and now she's back and she's playing with his emotions and trying to pull him back into her life. I am afraid that my husband is going to leave me for her. Please, I need to know if this woman is really dying or if she's just using this illness to take my husband away from me.
Nurse: What is the patient's name?
Skye: Brenda Barrett.
Sonny: You are overreacting, as usual.
Carly: No. I'm making an observation.
Sonny: You know what, Carly? Every time somebody gets -- a woman gets within 10 feet of Jason, you start, you know, nosing around, asking questions --
Carly: No --
Sonny: Looking for details --
Carly: Ok, ok, look, look, you didn't see it? What, come on! She's crazy about Jason. You couldn't see it?
Sonny: I didn't see -- there's nothing to see.
Carly: Look, will you look at who Courtney is married to? I mean, A.J. is a coward and Jason is strong and A.J. is lies, Jason's honest, A.J. -- I mean, come on, she's married to a weasel.
Sonny: Well, I agree, but Courtney loves A.J., and the worse he treats her, the more, you know -- the more she loves him, period.
Carly: Oh, my God. I have got it.
Sonny: No, you don't.
Carly: Yes, yes, I do. Listen, listen. Courtney -- she is going to drop-kick A.J., And the two of you will be close.
Sonny: Ok, you know what? Wherever you're going with this, don't, because I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear it!
Carly: No, instead of telling Courtney what a worm A.J. Is, we should just -- we should be offering her a better alternative.
Sonny: Who, Jason?
Sonny: She doesn't see him that way. You heard her. He's like a friend to her.
Carly: Ok, will you look at the facts? Look at the facts. Ok? Jason has done more in a matter of weeks to turn Courtney away from A.J. Than all your brotherly advice put together.
Sonny: There -- there is nothing going on between my sister and Jason, not now, not ever.
A.J.: I am so sorry, sweetie. I didn't mean to scare you.
Courtney: Oh, my God! You terrified me!
A.J.: I thought you were at work, really.
Courtney: I'm working the evening shift. I just stopped by for a minute. What are you doing with that thing, anyway?
A.J.: Honey, I was just trying on some Halloween costumes, that's all.
Courtney: Well, get rid of it or something. It's giving me the creeps.
A.J.: I'm so sorry. Really, I know how rough this has all been for you. But the police are on the case. I'm here. This stalker's not going to bother you anymore, ok? Now, I've been looking for a way to cheer you up, ok? The hospital is -- well, they're having a costume -- a charity costume party at Club 101, and I -- Grandmother offered us some tickets. I accepted. I thought you'd enjoy it.
Courtney: That's really sweet of you.
A.J.: If you don't want to go, I understand.
Courtney: No, no, no, no, I think it's a terrific idea. I'm not going to let this stalker think that he can scare me into staying home behind locked doors. I'm going to go out and I'm going to live my life the way I want to.
Coleman: She loves me, she loves me not. She loves me, she loves me not.
Lucky: 1985 Harley, mint condition. Nice bike.
Man: Don't touch it.
Lucky: I won't. You're the Thunderbirds, right?
Man: Who are you?
Lucky: Oh, we got a mutual enemy, a guy by the name of Luke Spencer.
Man: Spencer's bad news.
Lucky: I'm not arguing with you there you guys ride with him sometimes?
Man: He's Trixie's problem, not mine.
Lucky: Yeah. Well, do you know where he is?
Man: I don't know and I don't care, as long as I never see him again.
Lucky: Yeah, well, you know, I hear you and I get you. I'm just wondering --
man: You don't listen too good, do you?
Lucky: I'm just looking for some answers.
Man: Look someplace else.
Elizabeth: I think you have something I want.
Ned: You wanted to see me?
Alexis: I've been thinking.
Alexis: A lot, about me, about what I want, what I don't want, but more importantly, what I want for my daughter, and even more important than that, what she wants from me, and I'm stuck.
Ned: Well, do you need some help with your speech or something?
Alexis: No -- I mean, yes. I mean, it's sort of -- it's -- it's about the speech in a way in that I'm writing about how dedicated I am to my work, and I do -- I do take my work so seriously, you know. But, of course, it's not that. It's more than that.
Ned: Hey, whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you getting at?
Alexis: It -- will you marry me? Oh, for God's sakes, say something!
Ned: Um -- do you love me?
Nurse: Ms. Barrett is a patient at this clinic. She started coming here about four years ago for diagnosis and treatment. The doctor prescribes for her regularly, bills for her services, and occasionally flies out of the country to examine her and treat her.
Skye: Well, I guess Brenda really is sick then.
Nurse: I've always assumed so. But the doctor moved her file this afternoon.
Nurse: The head nurse keeps backups in case a file gets lost. This is the original chart of Ms. Barrett's original visit.
Skye: Well, what does it mean?
Nurse: The test came back negative.
Skye: That means Brenda isn't dying.
Therapist: Now, raise your leg two inches higher. All right. A little higher.
Jax: Ugh! Let me try again.
Therapist: All right, visualize your goal. Picture in your mind this person who needs you, this woman who makes you want to walk again.
Therapist: Excellent! Excellent! You did it. Just hold on to that image.
Sonny: I can't joke about Jason and Courtney.
Carly: I wasn't joking.
Sonny: I'm worried about her, ok? You know, he's a walking disaster, and he's hurt her, demeaned her, put her in danger.
Carly: Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I am saying she needs to get rid of him.
Sonny: Yeah, but Jason's not the answer is what I'm saying.
Carly: Why not?
Sonny: Because it's not -- it's not like that. He's doing his job, ok? I ordered him to, you know, look out for her at the club, and that's what he's doing.
Carly: Ok, and what about staying at her apartment? Did you order him to do that, too?
Sonny: There's a maniac after her, ok? He's doing what I told him to do. He's her bodyguard, not her boyfriend --
Sonny: Simple. There he is.
Carly: Ah! Jason! I am so glad you are back. So did you get rid of --
Brenda: Hi. Well, you guys should congratulate us because -- did you tell them? We got married.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
man: You're looking for some fun?
Man: You and this babe are running some kind of scam.
Ned: Have you fallen in love with me again?
