Previously on "General Hospital" --

Carly: Now you want to admit that this baby is Sonny's. I think it's going to be a little awkward, considering you've been trashing him.

Jason: Alcazar may already be there, so you need to get to her quick.

Alcazar: You go, you kill Jax. You stay here, he bleeds to death.

Sonny: Brenda.

Carly: What could I have that you'd possibly want?

Scott: Information. Tell me what I want to know and I'll overlook that little mob gathering we busted up tonight, before I file my report with the federal prosecutors.

Carly: You know, what I know about Sammy Tagliati and the other families, it wouldn't even fit onto the head of a pin.

Scott: Well, I'm after a hell of a lot more than what you know about the mob.

Carly: Like what?

Scott: I am running against Alexis Davis for district attorney. She was Sonny's lawyer, his confidante. I think that you have inside information and I want it -- now.

Alexis: And I have to be honest with you. This was a very difficult decision. I was very comfortable in private practice. I made a good living at it. And I didn't relish the prospect of opening up my life to the kind of public scrutiny that running for office demands. But in the end, I couldn't let my personal concerns outweigh my sense of duty and my respect for the law. So that being said, I pledge you all of my strength and all that I have to the office of district attorney. I believe that my quest is your quest -- for truth, for justice, for integrity, and most of all, for humanity. We're all in this together. The future is up to us. And we can't just assume responsibility for ourselves, we have to assume responsibility for the community as a whole. We are going to succeed or we're going to fail together. And I promise you I will do my part, and I truly believe that if we do this together, we will indeed succeed. So I want to thank you all for being here and thank you so much for your support tonight.

Nikolas: That -- an excellent speech. People -- I'm telling you -- they were responding.

Alexis: Sounded all right. Ok.

Lucky: It sounded better. It was great.

Gia: The job's as good as yours

Alexis: Oh, well, we'll see about that. Oh, hi. Good to see you. Thank you. Hi. How are you?

Man: Great.

Alexis: Thank you. Thank you very much. Thanks. Hi. Ok, so, what'd you think?

Ned: I think you gave a very nice speech that completely avoided the central issue of the election.

Brenda: This isn't real.

Jax: Brenda --

Brenda: This isn't happening.

Jax: You're ok.

Brenda: I'm ok.

Sonny: Brenda, listen to me.  Listen Listen to me, ok? The death was a lie. It was staged. It's me, ok? I'm here with you right now.

Sonny: It's all right.

Brenda: Don't. Don't touch me. Call 911. Call 911!

Jason: Hey.

Sonny: Jax is down, Alcazar is down. I hit him twice. He's not a threat. Get the phone, get the phone.

Jason: Operator. Two men have been shot. The address is 860 birch tree lane. They're both hit, looks pretty bad. Send an ambulance now.

Brenda: I promise everything's going to be ok. Jason, you do something.

Jason: Ok, ok, here.

Sonny: Give me that phone. Operator? Well, look, we're -- we're trying to do the best we can here, but we're not doctors. Can you get an ambulance here --

[Jax groans]

Brenda: Oh, you're hurting him!

Jason: It's ok, it's ok I got to put -- it's ok. I got to put pressure --

Brenda: It's ok, it's ok.

Jason: On the wound, ok?

Brenda: Shh, shh, shh, shh.

Jason: Just hold that. All right, now --

Brenda: You're ok.

Jason: You need to talk to him, keep him awake. He's going into shock.

Brenda: It's ok, Jax. Everything is going to be ok. You're going to be just fine. Hey, nobody leaves, remember? I love you.

[Knock on door]

Skye: Oh. Hi!

Courtney: Hi. Is this a bad time?

Skye: Oh. No, no, no, no. Not at all. Please, come in.

Courtney: I spoke to A.J. And he said that you had to postpone your honeymoon, so I just thought that I'd drop this by.

Skye: Oh, Courtney, that's so thoughtful. Thank you.

Courtney: I -- I didn't mean to interrupt. I --

Skye: Oh, no, no. Jax isn't even home yet. So, does this mean that I have to wait for the groom to open it? Please say no.

Courtney: No, it's all yours.

Skye: Oh, cool. I'm like a little kid when it comes to presents.

Courtney: Oh, it's nothing fancy.

Skye: Oh, stop. Oh, Courtney. It's lovely.

Courtney: Well, you know, it's kind of a coincidence. I had already done the calligraphy when you used that passage in your wedding.

Skye: Oh, I think it's more than a coincidence. I think it's -- it's a pat on the back from fate. Thank you.

Courtney: Well, I'm glad you like it.

Skye: Oh. Well, it's certainly a lot more meaningful than a setting of china or a salad bowl.

Courtney: Well, I -- I guess I should go. Anyway, congratulations.

Skye: Oh, no, Courtney, please stay. Sit, please. I -- I know that we got off to a pretty rough start and I'd like to change that. You know, we do have something pretty important in common -- I love A.J., You love A.J.

Courtney: More than anything.

Skye: I know. You've helped him through a pretty rough time.

Courtney: Well, A.J.'s done the same for me.

Skye: Hey, maybe this is the start of something new, huh? Something better for all of us. I'm sure that A.J.'s in Washington right now, getting Edward's latest legal maneuver reversed so his money will be unfrozen.

Courtney: Oh, well, I'm not sure it's going to be that easy.

Skye: Oh, think positive.

Courtney: I'll try. But just in case the judge doesn't decide in A.J.'s favor, I'm going to get a second job. You know, something that pays better than Kelly's.

Skye: Hey, I think I can help.

Courtney: Well, I don't -- I couldn't ask you to do that.

Skye: No, no, no, I want to. We're family now.

Edward: Nice to see you. Evening. Evening. Well, I see that Monica is conspicuously absent. She's off on a date, no doubt, huh?

Alan: For your information, she was kidnapped.

Edward: Since when, Alan? Did you call the police? What?

Alan: By the time I found out about it, it was already over. She actually took off with Jason.

Edward: Oh, oh, Jason? Oh, he has finally sunk low enough to kidnap his own mother. I swear.

Alan: Why do I even bother to talk to you?

Edward: What?

Alan: I mean, it was only their lives at stake, not their voting rights or their stock options. I mean, why would you care?

Edward: I've ceased caring about Jason a long time ago. People have been trying to kill him for years and nobody has succeeded. And if you really believe that Monica was kidnapped, then you deserve to be cheated on. Mm-hmm.

Nikolas: Alexis nailed it. She nailed that speech. Everything about it was perfect.

Gia: Absolutely -- smart, confident. I'd vote for her even if I wasn't working on her campaign.

Lucky: You know, I hope all the voters feel the same way you do. I hope they're just as confident. You know, all I want for Alexis is to nail Scott Baldwin -- first by getting elected and, second, by getting my Dad out of this mess.

Ned: You need to address the Sonny question straight on. Otherwise, Scott will accuse you of ducking it.

Alexis: What do you expect me to do?

Ned: Tell everybody what really happened between you and Sonny.

Carly: Sonny never talked to me about Alexis.

Scott: Never?

Carly: No, he knew I couldn't stand the woman.

Scott: All the more reason to help me.

Carly: You know what, Scott? I couldn't help you even if I wanted to because I wasn't allowed in the room when she was here.

Scott: Well, that was probably Alexis' idea.

Carly: Alexis had nothing to do with it.

Scott: Still, I mean, there she was on the inside, all cozied up with Sonny, talking about their big deal, stuff that you weren't allowed to know about. Of course, Alexis -- she -- that's the way she wanted to keep it.

Carly: You know what? You're absolutely out of your mind. This had to do with Sonny wanting to protect me.

Scott: Maybe, but, still, it must have hurt. Deep, deep down, I mean, is and Sonny sharing these secrets, stuff that he never shared with you. You know, Carly, I understand you. I think that you and I are a little bit alike.

Carly: Excuse me? In what way? We both breathe air? We both live in Port Charles?

Scott: No, we're just not chicken of anything, you know? I mean, look at you. You went after those mobsters with a Louisville slugger, for crying out loud.

Carly: Yeah, you know why? Because they were threatening me.

Scott: Well, so was Alexis! I mean, come on, she's got the -- the hots for your husband. She used to follow him around like a little poodle, yapping at anyone that got near him, including you now, what did Alexis do for Sonny? I understand to have a little reluctance to talk about Sonny's girlfriend while he was still alive --

Carly: Alexis was not Sonny's girlfriend.

Scott: Oh? Well, not that she didn't try. You know, I took Alexis out to dinner one time, and she spent the whole night staring at Sonny. Now, help me. Help me take Alexis down.

Carly: You're wasting your time.

Scott: Maybe I'm not making myself clear. You help me, or you're going to pay the price.

Carly: Are you threatening me?

Scott: Absolutely, because I'm going to win this race for district attorney. And you're going to tell me what I need to know about Alexis. You're going to give me some inside information, stuff that's going to help me. Do you understand this? Otherwise, do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pick up the phone and I'm going to call down to protective services and I am going to have Michael taken away from you. Now, how do you like them apples, there, Carly?

Skye:  All right. All right. Then it's all set. Thank you. It's going to be perfect for you.

Courtney: I've never cocktail waitressed before.

Skye: Oh, come on, you will pick it up in two minutes.

Courtney: Well, I don't want you to go out of your way for me, really.

Skye: Come on, Jax and I own club 101. We are always looking for good people.

Courtney:  Are you sure

Skye:  Oh, absolutely. Look, the manager said just go by there tonight and you can meet the staff, you know, look at the club, see if it's something that you like.

Courtney: Thank you so much, Skye. I can't believe it. .

Skye: What, you can't believe a self-involved shrew like me would actually go out of my way for you?  Ow. I know, it's -- it's new for me, too. I actually think up till a few months ago that, I don't know, I was a little jealous or paranoid that Jax might actually go for you.

Courtney: You were jealous because of me?

Skye: No, jealous because of me. I mean, you just happened to be in my line of fire. It's the story of my life, you know, always looking over my shoulder, waiting to be blindsided, trying to hit first. Paranoia strikes deep, right? But, you know really -- I am really looking at things so differently now. I have never been so secure with somebody. I'm sure it's just the same with you and A.J. right?

Courtney: No one really watched out for me in my life before A.J. Came in, and then everything changed.

Skye: I know. Oh, A.J. loves you so much. He's told me a million times. I mean, not that he had to because I could just tell by the way he looks at you oh. That is the same way that Jax looks at me. I have never been so sure of somebody in my whole life.

[music plays]

Sonny: Get your hands off her, Capelli!

Brenda: Don't you protect me! It's your fault!

Alexis: You want me to tell everyone that Sonny is the father of my baby?

Ned: No Alexis, but the fact is you had a close association with a known racketeer for over a year, the voters are curious.

Alexis: Forget about it. As far as I know, Scott and everyone else believes that Sonny was just a client of mine and I'm going to leave it that way.

Ned: Well, then you're cutting your own throat and you'll lose.

Alexis: All right, fine. Well, we'll let the chips fall where they may because I want this election to be focused on the issues.

Ned:  Including yourself. Sonny was front-page news. People loved him or they hated him, but there was no middle ground. And you were his attorney and stalwart defender.

Alexis:  You want me to open up a door to questions that I shouldn't have to answer.

Ned: Alexis, the door'll be opened either way. Take the offensive, make this your issue.

Alexis: Why should this be an issue at all?

Ned: Because if you don't, Scotty will clear the air, but don't wait. Don't give him all the momentum, all the power. Take the offensive.

Nikolas: Sorry to interrupt. Listen, I have lined up a television interview.

Alexis:  No

Nikolas: We can make the evening news if we hurry.

Alexis: You know what? Not now. This isn't a good time.

Nikolas: Alexis, listen to me. Timing -- timing is everything. We have to keep people interested we have to get moving.

Ned: Now's your chance, the perfect opportunity to beat Scott to the punch.

Reporter: Ms. Davis? We're set to go. Thank you.

Reporter: I'm coming to you from club 101 in port Charles, where candidate for district attorney, Alexis Davis, has just addressed a group of supporters. Ms. Davis, thank you for being with us.

Alexis: Thank you.

Reporter: Well, how do you feel about the reception you received here tonight?

Alexis: Very good, actually. It's very gratifying to be able to speak directly to the issues at hand, which are law and order, truth in government, and integrity in office.

Reporter: Your opponent, Mr. Baldwin, has made one of those issues your personal life. You're pregnant out of wedlock and used to represent Sonny Corinthos. Care to respond?

Alexis: Yes, I do. Scott Baldwin is doing everything that he can to divert attention from what issues are relevant in this campaign, which happens to be his questionable record as acting D.A., the future of Port Charles, and how we're going to counter the criminal element and take back our city.

Reporter: When you say "criminal element," do you include the soul of your late client, Sonny Corinthos?

Alexis: Sonny Corinthos was not a client of mine at the time of his death. V????????rue with their support as district attorney, it is only fair that they expect me to clarify any questions regarding my past association with a former racketeer. Therefore, I am prepared for any questions about doings with Sonny Corinthos.

Carly: I am a good mother. I am attentive and concerned and I put Michael's interests first.

Scott: Well, that's why you shipped him out of the country with his nanny. That's abandonment I'd say.

Carly: No, that's a lie and you know it!

Scott: Now as district attorney, on my recommendation, one call to child protective services and Michael will be taken away -- like that. And then you're going to have to prove that you're a fit mother. By that time, the system will take over, he'll be assigned, welfare worker. You know what? They might just look around and see this whole environment as really unhealthy, and he'll be taken to a shelter.

Carly: Yeah, well, you'll have to find him first, won't you?

Scott: To a . Bobbie told me that he really likes going there. I did a little research. You know, it's an island in the Caribbean. They hgang. I'm so sure that he's there that I have got a social worker, standing by and in one hour, they will pick him up, you'll be rotting in prison, with no phone calls to tip off the nanny

Carly: Ok, Scott, that's fine, but I guess you don't care about Bobbie right, because she's going to hate you. She's going to hate you if you take Michael from me.

Scott: I think Bobbie will understand that I was trying to protect Michael and keep him safe.

Carly: You think this is going to work, you pressuring me like this?

Scott: Bobbie gives me the benefit of the doubt. She always does, just like she does for you.

Carly: Scott, just wait, please. Just -- just give me 24 hours.

Scott: You got 24 seconds! Otherwise I'm going to dial this phone, the system will kick in, and there's no way to stop it! Michael will be taken away from you and you get --

Carly: Yes, I am getting the picture! Fine, I will tell you anything you want to know about Alexis.

[phone rings]

Skye: That better be you and you better be telling me that you're on your way soon.

Bobbie: Skye this is Bobbie Spencer. I'm calling from the hospital. It's about Jax.

Alexis: Constitution guarantees that each of us is presumed innocent until proven guilty. And every citizen has the right to effective counsel, and Sonny Corinthos is no exception to that rule. I was duty-bound in regard to uphold the --

Courtney: Hi. I'm Courtney Quartermaine. My sister-in-law was suppose to call.

Host: Yeah, Skye called. So do you want to try this and see how this works for you

Courtney:  Why not?

Host: Ok, what you're wearing is fine. And this is Jeff. He'll answer any questions.

Courtney: Ok, than.

Jeff: Nice to meet you.

Alexis: I believe that he was a legitimate businessman. That's how he portrays himself and I had no reason to disbelieve him. I represented him zealously, but I did it within the bounds of the law. I did it. It was my duty to Mr. Corinthos as well as to the legal system, and for that, I have no apologies. As it turns out, I was wrong. People close to me were hurt by Mr. Corinthos. My own sister was killed as a result of my association with him. As soon as I realized the extent of his criminal involvement, I severed all ties with him, personal and professional. Organized crime is a critical issue in my campaign. As district attorney, my primary goal will be to break its hold on this city. And were Sonny Corinthos alive today, I would be leading the charge to have him sent to prison. But as it stands, I will dedicate myself to eradicating the remnants of his criminal empire.

Carly: You enjoying your drink?

Scott: I'm sorry. Can I fix you a bourbon?

[Scott hums]

Scott: These are contracts that Alexis -- these are useless.

Carly: Scott, maybe there's -- there's a conflict of interest in here or something.

Scott: No, no, listen. Look, look, look, what i'm looking for is, like, personal stuff. Stuff that's going to get people's attention, that's going to make headlines. Otherwise, Michael is going to foster care!

Carly: Ok, well, I don't have anything like that. I don't know anything. Ok, ok, ok, ok, ok, ok. All right, Alexis -- she's -- she's neurotic. Scott, she has these hyperventilating fits, and you can claim she's unstable and it's going to affect her performance in office.

Scott: Yeah, well, it's never affected her performance in the courtroom. I need stuff that's going to show her in -- in really, like, you know, a bad light. Flaky, unreliable, dishonest.

Carly: She's a coward. Ok, she is such a coward. While Sorrel was holding us, she couldn't handle it. She -- she hid, she broke down and ran for cover.

Scott: Well, nobody expects the district attorney to take a bullet. See, I'm looking for stuff that's, you know, going to really ruin her in the eyes of the public. Do you understand what I'm talking about here?

Carly: Ok, well, you know, I don't have anything like that, Scott.

Scott: Ok.

Carly: Whoa, whoa -- what do you want me to do? You want me to make something up? Is that what? Because I can make some stuff up for you.

Scott: No, I don't think you have to make anything up. I think that Sonny and Alexis were having an affair. I think they took it one step past their little business relationship.

Carly: Yeah? Well, if you think this and you seem so certain about it, then what the hell do you need from me?

Scott: Because I want confirmation from you.

Carly: Fine. Fine, ok? Alexis was attracted to Sonny.

Scott: Oh, attract, attract! It doesn't sell papers!

Carly: Fine, Scott. They went to Puerto Rico together.

Scott: I'm all ears.

Carly: And she fell in love with him.

Scott: What else?

Carly: I don't know what else, Scott --

Scott: All right --

Carly: Because I wasn't there!

Scott: Say good-bye to Michael!

Carly: All right, fine, fine. You want to know it? They slept together. Cheers.

Jason: Alcazar shot Jax, who wasn't armed, ok? Then Alcazar tried to kidnap Brenda at gunpoint, and that's when Sonny came in. Alcazar fired at Sonny, Sonny fired back in self-defense.

Andy: What were you doing, Morgan?

Jason: I hadn't come in yet.

Andy: So this is all speculation.

Sonny: That's exactly what happened. Why do you have to hear it again?

Andy: Because Morgan wasn't a witness, Corinthos, she was. You're name's Brenda?

Brenda: Yes, Brenda.

Andy: How do you know this Luis Alcazar?

Brenda: I lived with him.

Andy: For how long?

Brenda: Four years. Look, it happened exactly the way Jason said -- Luis shot Jax, Sonny shot Luis, all right? Now, I have to go to the hospital right now.

Andy: How do you know Jax?

Brenda: He used to be my husband.

Andy: Is that why Alcazar shot him?

Brenda: Yes, it is --

Sonny: Ok, nobody says another word until I talk to my lawyer.

Andy: Ok, Corinthos, let's all go downtown while forensics sweeps this place. You can talk to all the lawyers you want.

Brenda: Well, you're going to have to get my statement here because I'm going to the hospital.

Andy: You're not going anywhere. At this point, the only thing I know is that this case is all about you.

Edward: Oh, Lucky, I -- I wanted to tell you how Sorry I am about your mother. I've always been very fond of Laura.

Lucky: Yeah, well, you know, doctors say that she's comfortable in her room in London. She just needs some time to recover.

Edward: You know, you've -- you've always been a favorite of Lila's. And if our family can be of any help, we'd --

Lucky: Well, actually, there is something you can do. You can influence everybody you can, use all your power to make sure that Alexis gets elected as D.A. She's going to have the power to overturn my father's conviction.

Edward: Well, but Luke plead guilty.

Lucky: I know. Scott Baldwin railroaded him. That's why he has to lose. Otherwise, my father's going to be running for the rest of his life.

Courtney: Oh, sorry.

Man: I've never seen you here before.

Courtney: It's my first night.

Man: And you're doing great. I've been watching. No. No need to be nervous.

Courtney: Oh -- I'm sorry.

Host: Oh -- ok.

Lucky: Hey.

Nikolas: Hey.

Lucky: Is everything ok with Alexis?

Nikolas: Yeah, she's fine. Yeah.

Lucky: Ok, so how come you're not?

Nikolas: You know what? I was just -- I was hoping tonight would distract me, but I -- I can't get my mind off of Mom. I can't go five minutes without thinking about her.

Lucky: Edward Quartermaine just gave me his sympathies.

Nikolas: Oh, yeah?

Lucky: What am I supposed to say to that? "Thanks for feeling bad that my Mom's crazy"?

Nikolas: I don't know. What did you say?

Lucky: Well, I asked him to help make sure Alexis beats Baldwin. It's the only chance my Dad's got.

Nikolas: Listen, Luke's fine. I'm telling you, he's fine.

Lucky: I don't think so. Mom means everything to him and she's in such bad shape --

[Lucky sighs]

Lucky: Man, I don't know what's going to happen with either one of them. And all I keep thinking, the only way I can help is by nailing Scott Baldwin to the wall.

Nikolas: Well, it'll be a lot easier once we get Alexis elected.

Lucky: You're right.

Alexis: You don't think I sounded too defensive?

Ned: No. I think your tone was absolutely perfect. Wasn't too emotionally involved, not to self-deprecating. I think you successfully cleared this issue right off the table.

Alexis: Well, thank you. I think you were right. You know, you raise it, you address it, you get it out of the way, and, hopefully, this will put the specter of Sonny to rest once and for all.

Carly: And Alexis and Sonny were upstairs in bed together.

Scott: An ongoing affair?

Carly: A one-night stand.

Scott: That works. Sign this.

Carly: What is that?

Scott: Insurance. You know, I don't want you to develop amnesia. You know, I figured this was going on with those two, but I just drew up this legal document. If you sign here, when, and where it happened, I won't make that call to child services.

Scott: Here you go.

Carly: Ok, and I'm supposed to sign this and trust you that it'll be ok? No, no, no, no. No way.

Scott: Well, I also -- another document, that says that I think that this is the best place for Michael to be. My recommendation. So, sign, and I'll sign. Then we can finish our cocktails. Here you go.

Scott: Sign it.

[Phone rings]

Scott: Oh. Excuse me. Baldwin. You're kidding. Ok. Keep me posted.

Carly: So what was that?

Scott: Great news. Your husband -- he's alive and well -- and under arrest.

Carly: Oh, my God. Sonny's --

Scott: Oh, save that, will you? Listen. Tell Sonny when you see him, one day the bullet will hit its mark. And, of course, welcome back.

Skye: Yes, my husband was taken in earlier with a gunshot wound. Jasper Jacks -- do you know where he is?

Nurse: Try admitting.

Skye: Do you know where they've taken Jasper Jacks?

Nurse: I'll check.

Bobbie: Skye, Jax is in here. He's conscious.

Skye: Ok. Jax. Jax, it's me. I'm here now, ok?

Jax: Skye?

Skye: No, no, no, don't -- no, don't try to speak. Please, don't -- just --

Monica: No, no, he shouldn't speak. He shouldn't. He needs to save his strength.

Skye: Yes, listen to Monica now. Just -- just rest, ok? What happened? Who did this to him?

Monica: All I know is what the paramedics told me. Apparently, he was shot by a man named Alcazar. And then Sonny arrived and shot him.

Skye: Sonny? Sonny Corinthos is dead.

Monica: Well, not according to the paramedics. He saved Jax's life. And there was a witness, a woman.

Skye: What woman?

Brenda: Mac, listen --

Mac: Brenda --

Brenda: I need to leave.

Mac: When Capelli called this in, I was sure he got the name wrong. Where have you been? What happened to you?

Brenda: It's a very long story. Listen, I need to get to the hospital because Jax is there.

Mac: First, we need some facts. Look, what do you know about this double shooting?

Brenda: Jason can tell you everything you need to know. It's very hard for me to focus on anything but Jax right now.

Andy: Well, she was the only witness, boss, all right? She was in the room when Jax and Alcazar were shot. It looks like Corinthos and Morgan were holding her hostage to draw Alcazar into an ambush.

Brenda: Please, I need to leave.

Mac: Look, I'm sure Jax is getting the best possible care, Brenda. What you can do to help Jax is to tell me who shot him and why. What happened in the room? What was Sonny's part in all this?

Brenda: Ok, ok, ok, ok. Luis came in the room, he shot Jax. Sonny came in, he saved both of us. Basically, if it wasn't for Sonny, Jax would be dead.

Courtney: I'm sorry I can't finish out the night. I just didn't have time to make arrangements with my husband.

Host: Oh, don't worry. I'll call Skye and tell her what a great job you did.

Courtney: Thanks.

Host: Ok.

Courtney: Who's there? Who is it?

Alexis: Thank you.

Alexis: Thank you all.

Scott: Hey, how are you? Nice to see you. Nice to see you. Nice to see you.

Alexis: So thank you. Enjoy the rest of the night.

Scott: How you doing? Alexis?

Alexis: Yeah?

Scott: Sorry -- sorry to interrupt.

Alexis: Scott, what are you doing here?

Scott: Well, I'd just like to extend an invitation to a debate, me and you.

Alexis: Oh. Well, all right, then. Let's have a little chat about that. Excuse us, please, for a minute. What's up, Scott?

Scott: Well, I think the voters should get to know us, you know, just head-on. Don't you think?

Alexis: What's really going on? You're up in the polls. Your campaign's going like gangbusters. There's no reason to have a debate. Unless, of course, you have something on me. What is it, Scott, that you are dying to let out into the public?

Scott: What are you worried about? Do you have something to hide?

Skye: Ooh, he's in pain. Can't you give him something for it?

Dr. Caldwell: We're giving him medication for the pain. Bobbie.

Monica: Skye. He's bleeding internally, so we're going to have to take him to OR.. And do an exploratory and stop the bleeding, ok?

Skye: Ok, whatever you need. Jax, I'm here. I'm here, my love. I will be with you always.

Jax: Brenda.

Brenda: I heard Luis' gun go off, and then I heard another gunshot.

Mac: You didn't actually see who shot who?

Brenda: No, I -- I saw Luis shoot Jax and I was shielding him with my body. I heard another gunshot. It had to be Luis because he was the closest to me. And then I heard Sonny shoot back in self-defense. I mean, come on, it is pretty simple. Sonny saved both of our lives. Now can I go?

Andy: At the scene, you said it was all Sonny's fault, but now you make him out to be the big hero? Which is it?

Brenda: But at the scene, I was in shock, ok?

Mac: All right, all right, I think we got enough -- for now.

Brenda: Thank you.

Mac: Sonny and Jason are staying. There's still the matter of Sonny's untimely death and miraculous recovery. I'm thinking maybe there's a broken law or two in there somewhere. Capelli, get them in interrogation one.

Andy: Let's go.

Sonny: Ok, you know what, Capelli? You know I'm entitled to a phone call, right?

Andy: Yeah, I'll get to it.

Sonny: Ok, thank you. Thank you. Bye. Bye.

[Door shuts]

Sonny: All right, you know what? I should probably warn Carly that Brenda's here. Otherwise, you know what's going to happen.

Mac: Ok, Brenda, you can go. I'll have a squad car take you to the hospital.

Brenda: Oh, thank you, Mac. Ooh!

Carly: Would you watch where you are going? Brenda.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Skye: Will you be able to get -- pull it out.

Dr. Caldwell: If we don't stop the internal bleeding, he'll die.

Carly: I just have one question for you -- who's your next victim?

Sonny: At least Carly didn't lose it.

Jason: Yet.

Reporter: When's the debate?

Alexis: Who wants to muzzle Gia? Volunteers? Anyone?
