>> Previously on "General Hospital" --

Carly: Who got away?

Roy: By dawn, Alcazar will be history.

Alcazar: I have a feeling Roy's heart isn't in this assignment. I might have to kill Jax myself.

Jax: It was another life when I wore this ring. I was married to Brenda. There's no place in my life for this ring. Nothing's going to stop us now.

Photographer: Now, turn back.

Photographer: Perfect. Lovely.

John: I believe the word is "spectacular."

Jane: Our son is a lucky man.

John: Following in his father's footsteps.

Photographer: We're ready for photos with the groom -- unless you'd prefer to do it after the ceremony.

Skye: Oh, well, why wait?

John: It's just another one of those silly superstitions.

Jax: Yes, my bride and I create our own luck.

Skye: That's right, we're becoming quite proficient at it, aren't we?

Jax: Why wait? We've got better things to do after the ceremony than take photos.

Skye: Oh? We do?

Jax: Smile for the camera.

Skye: Oh I can't stop smiling. I can't believe this is real.

Jax: Lucky for me, I've got the next 50-some-odd years to convince you.

Skye: Oh. Snap away.

Jax: Ah.

Skye: I want to remember every moment of the happiest day of my life.

Roy: There is no sign of Alcazar.

Jason: You've got to stay in the choir loft. It's got the best sight line to Jax. Alcazar's going to expect to see you there when he shows up.

Roy: If he shows. He didn't feel the need to watch when I took out Sonny. He may not feel it now, either.

Jason: Ok, let me get this straight. Alcazar's original orders were for you to intercept Brenda and kill Jax.

Roy: Yeah.

Jason: Right? Ok? Now, what, all of a sudden, he changes his mind? Said your only job is to take out Jax? You think he lost interest in Brenda overnight? No, he wants to find her for himself instead of trusting you to do it.

Roy: Do you realize what a huge risk it is for him to come to this church, Jason?

Jason: He wants Brenda back at any cost.

Roy: He doesn't even know she'll be here.

Jason: He lived with her for four years. He knows how she thinks. The only way to keep Brenda away from Jax's wedding is to do what we did, and lock her up.

Carly: Well, whoever you were holding must have been pretty small to fit through there.

Sonny: You said you would do this -- you said you would help me fake my death, that you would play your part, follow orders until Alcazar was dealt with. Did you mean that?

Carly: Of course I did.

Sonny: Ok, but why -- I tell you to stay in the other room, and you don't. You come in here, so now I -- you know what? I need you now to stay in this room. Do not eavesdrop. Do not ask questions. Just sit in here, keep your mouth shut. Can you do that? Can I count on you to be -- can you do that?

Carly: Yes.

Sonny: Good.

Sonny: Brenda got out through the vent. Jax is getting married at St. Timothy's. She's got to be headed there. Which means she's walking right into Alcazar's trap.

Jax: Oh, look at that, we've just passed the point of no return.

Skye: Oh, what's that?

Jax: Well, soon that portrait will be added to the Jax family wall of shame, won't it?

Skye: Oh.

John: Yeah, now, we're very proud of our family portraits.

Jane: Oh, there's been a few odd ducks in the mix.

John: Well, only my great-grandmother.

Jax: She was a crocodile hunter.

Skye: Really?

John: And Uncle Colin.

Jax: Dad, let's not mention Uncle Colin at all, ok?

Jane: Let's just say we're thrilled that Skye's joined the family.

Skye: No, no, no, no -- I want to hear more about that Crocodile Hunter Grandma.

John: Oh, no, a true Jacks already.

Photographer: Mr. Jacks, will you move to the other side?

John: Yes.

Photographer: And, Mrs.. Jacks, move in next to your son, please.

John: So you're going to the south of France for your honeymoon?

Jax: That's right.

Jane: I almost wish we could come along.

Jax: As much as I love your company, Mother, I don't think that would be a good idea.

Jane: No, no, I said "almost."

Skye: We'll send lots of post cards.

Jax: That's if we're not too busy.

Jane: Oh, to be young and romantic.

John: I'm rather enjoying being old and romantic.

Jax: I'm going to be old and unmarried if this photo shoot doesn't end soon. Let's wrap it up, shall we?

Photographer: Just one more. Mr. Jacks, move over next to your son, please.

Jax: My foot's falling asleep.

Skye: Oh, stop complaining. I'll make this portrait number one for our own family wall of shame.

John: That's our girl.

Photographer: We got it.

Jax: Let's get to the main event, shall we?

John: Well.

Jax: I have some promises to make to the woman I love.

Brenda: "Jax, love, Brenda, forever."

Jason: All right, look, Alcazar has to think that you're going to kill Jax just as he planned.

Roy: Uh-huh. He has no reason to doubt that.

Jason: But the guy doubts everything. That's how he stays alive.

Roy: I'm missing your point, Jason.

Jason: Ok, look, if you're in the choir loft, he's going to be focused on finding Brenda, and he will not see me coming.

Roy: If I get a chance to take him clean, I'm not waiting on you.

Jason: What is this about for you, revenge? Or you want to get rid of Alcazar for good?

Roy: I'm just telling you --

Jason: Ok, fine, he won't be expecting me. As far as Alcazar knows, Sonny is dead, and I'm off somewhere fighting for the control of Sonny's business.

Roy: Mm-hmm, I get that.

Jason: So I'm the one who's positioned to take him out. You know it, Roy. Let's just work together. We want the same thing.

Roy: Yeah. All good.

Jason: I'm going to wait inside for Alcazar.

[Felicia gasps]

Roy: This is a bad idea. The worst.

Jane: Alexis, dear! Jax tells me you're expecting a child.

Alexis: I am. I just found out it's a girl.

Jane: Oh, congratulations. You must be thrilled.

Alexis: I am. I am. And you must be, too, on your son's big day.

Jane: Oh, John and I are so pleased. And we have you to thank in part.

Alexis: I didn't have anything to do with it.

Jane: Well, Jax was heartbroken when Brenda died. And I was afraid that he would spend the rest of his life grieving. His marriage to you helped him heal. And although it didn't last, it brought him to a place where he could find love again with Skye.

Alexis: Jane, I think you're giving me way, way too much credit.

Jane: No, I'm sure Jax feels the same.

Alexis: Well, I'm just glad to see him so happy.

Rev. Dade: Well, if everyone's here, we can begin the ceremony.

Jax: Are you ready?

Skye: No. No, I'm not.

Roy: I told you to go home and stay with your girls, and I meant it.

Felicia: Roy, I know that you're trying to protect us, but the only way my girls will ever be safe is if Alcazar is behind bars.

Roy: Felicia, he will be.

Felicia: Why? Because you're going to intercept him here tonight at this wedding?

Roy: You just can't stay out of the fire, can you?

Felicia: No! Now, you promised me this was going to be over in the next 12 hours. The only way that can possibly happen is if you have some kind of showdown here at this wedding with Alcazar.

Roy: Aren't you the one who keeps telling me how dangerous this guy is?

Felicia: Yes, and that's why I have to protect my children. Now, I'm going to go up in that loft and I'm going to see if I can spot Alcazar myself.

Courtney: Do you know if the ceremony's --

[Brenda gasps]

Courtney: Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. Are you here for the wedding?

Sonny: All right, I can't risk a phone call, so you're going to have to get to St. Timothy's and warn Jason that Brenda is on her way. Tell him to forget about Alcazar. We'll take him out later. But he needs to bring Brenda back here right away.

Max: Ok.

Carly: Am I allowed to speak?

Sonny: No, you're going to listen to me first. You jeopardized everything by showing up here.

Carly: I had to see you.

Sonny: Ok. Listen to me. I risked my life setting this up. I let Roy DiLucca, a man I don't even trust, come at me with a loaded gun. I've been out of sight while my father and my sister mourn me. I trusted you to play the grieving widow to decoy the cops.

Carly: And I did, Sonny. I convinced everyone, even my own mother.

Sonny: Yeah, you were perfect. Everything was good. You did a great job up until now.

Carly: Sonny, if I'm going to be covering for you, I need to know what I am covering.

Sonny: You don't need to know anything. All you need to know is that you can trust me.

Carly: All right. Ok. I need to trust you, but you can't trust me? I asked Jason what was going on, and he completely stonewalled on your orders. And so I came here, and lo and behold, I find out that you were keeping someone here.

Sonny: Yeah, but we're not going to get into that right now.

Carly: It's Alcazar's girlfriend, isn't it?

Brenda: I -- I just come to St. Timothy's sometimes and light a candle, say a prayer.

Courtney: Oh, there's a wedding tonight.

Brenda: Oh, I know. I went in, and they said there was a private ceremony. Who's getting married?

Courtney: Jasper Jacks and Skye Quartermaine.

Brenda: Jasper Jacks. I've heard of him. So, are you a friend of his?

Courtney: Sort of. Well, I'm here because my husband, A.J., He's the bride's brother. He's going to walk her down the aisle, so --

Brenda: Oh, I'm sorry, you don't want to miss the wedding. You'd better go.

Skye: Who are you? What are you doing here?

[Door opens]

Ned: Jax. Planning on making a run for it?

Jax: I'm just looking for the carriage.

Ned: Yeah, not exactly what I'd call subtle.

Jax: Well, Skye wanted a carriage covered in roses and drawn by white horses. The least I could do was arrange that.

Ned: You're certainly pulling out all the stops.

Jax: Well, she deserves it.

Ned: Let's just hope it doesn't start pouring rain by the time the ceremony ends.

Jax: Well, that's why I've got a car and a driver out there. Nothing's going to spoil this wedding, Ned.

Ned: You really want this, don't you?

Jax: Yeah, with all my heart.

Ned: So this is for keeps?

Jax: I wouldn't be marrying Skye if I wasn't sure I'd love her for the rest of my life.

Alcazar: I'm the assistant minister here at St. Timothy's. Rev. Dade asked me to check the electrical wiring.

Skye: Oh.

Alcazar: And then this lamp burnt out. Happens all the time. The wiring in this building is terrible.

Skye: Oh.

Alcazar: I apologize. I didn't expect you to return. I can wait outside if you like.

Skye: Oh, no, no, that's all right.

Alcazar: May I say that you make a lovely bride.

Skye: Oh, thanks. Thanks. You didn't happen to find an antique lace handkerchief, did you? My grandmother Lila gave it to me for luck, and I really want to carry it.

Alcazar: No, I haven't seen it.

Skye: Oh. My grandmother's an amazing woman. She is, and I feel like if carry it, I'll carry a part of her with me, you know? Kind of like a blessing, sort of like nothing bad will happen.

Alcazar: Mm-hmm.

Skye: Guess that's kind of silly, isn't it?

Alcazar: No, not at all.

Skye: Maybe I dropped it when I put my purse down.

Alcazar: This -- is this it?

Skye: Oh, yes! Oh, it is. Oh, thank you so much. Now I feel like my wedding day will be perfect.

Alcazar: May I ask a favor in return?

Skye: What is that?

Alcazar: May I have the honor of kissing the bride?

Skye: Sure.

Alcazar: May the memories of this night stay with you always.

Roy: All right. You've seen for yourself Alcazar is not in the church. Will you do me a favor now? Please, go home to Maxie and Georgie.

Felicia: Not if you're planning to kill Jax.

Roy: I'm not.

Felicia: That's what Alcazar wants you to do, isn't it?

Roy: Felicia, I swear by everything that's holy, I am not going to shoot Jax.

Felicia: Then it's Alcazar. You're here to stop him, aren't you?

Roy: Yes, I am.

Felicia: You need backup?

Roy: I have it.

Felicia: Who?

Roy: It's nothing you need to know about.

Felicia: Yes, it is. Tell me, who's helping you?

Roy: It's been worked out.

Felicia: How are you going to stop Alcazar?

Roy: Just leave it alone, would you please?

Felicia: You're in over your head!

Roy: No, I'm not! I don't give a damn how powerful this guy is. His time's up.

Felicia: I'm not going to go home and wait for you to handle this. I'm going to be a part of this because this is about the safety of my children.

Roy: There is no reasoning with you, is there?

Felicia: Stop arguing about this and find Alcazar.

Roy: You keep one thing in your mind. This man has killed a lot of people.

Felicia: I'm aware of that.

Roy: Think about what it means. Your daughters will never forgive you if you're the one who dies at the end of this.

Sonny: All you need to do is be a grieving widow and let us handle the rest.

Carly: Well, I suppose I should thank you.

Sonny: For what?

Carly: For not lying to me. I mean, you could have spun some story about it being a girlfriend of Benny's or the ventilation repairman.

Sonny: Come on. Why do you have to go there?

Carly: Look, the night you were shot, a woman called. She told you to meet her at St. Timothy's.

Sonny: Right.

Carly: I know she was there, ok, because Rev. Dade told me she's -- he saw a woman at the church. She had dark hair, she was petite, and she was gone by the time you got shot. And then -- ok, here comes the strange part. You ready for this?

Sonny: Yeah, I'm listening.

Carly: Ok, Jason was supposed to stay with you. He was supposed to run interference and make sure that no one knew you weren't really dying, but he didn't do that. He called me and he told me to get to the church.

Sonny: Which you did, and I'm grateful for that, ok? And you did your part, so let us deal with the rest.

Carly: Ok, Sonny, I know Jason. I know he never would have left you unless you ordered him to do so, so my question is why. Why did you tell him that? What happened? Something major must have happened, like Alcazar's girlfriend must have seen you get shot, so Jason had to -- had to take her away before anyone saw her, or because Alcazar would have been looking for her. So -- so he brings her to the safe house, right, and he has to question her, right? I mean, that's what Jason has been doing. That's why he hasn't been around much. He's been guarding Alcazar's girlfriend, hasn't he?

Sonny: Yeah, I guess you could say that. But there's, you know, there's just -- there's -- there's more to it than you know.

[Wedding march plays]

Rev. Dade: Dearly beloved, we are gathered here in the presence of God to witness and bless the joining together of this man and this woman in holy matrimony. The union of husband and wife in heart, body, and mind, is intended by God for their mutual joy, for the help and comfort given one another in prosperity and adversity, and when it is God's will, for the procreation of children and their nurture in the knowledge and love of the Lord. Therefore, marriage is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, deliberately, and in accordance with the purposes for which it was instituted by God. Into this union, Skye Chandler Quartermaine and Jasper Jacks now come to be joined. If any of you can show just cause why they may not lawfully be married, speak now, or else forever hold your peace.

[guests gasp]

Skye: What is it?

Rev. Dade: I'm so sorry. This occasionally happens during rainstorms, so, everyone, just please stay where you are, and I'll see if I can get the lights on. All right?

Jax: It'll be ok.

Skye: Jax, what if this is all too good to be true? And what if this is a sign that maybe we shouldn't --

Jax: Skye, Skye, Skye, we've been tested by far worse than a power failure, ok? I'm not worried in the slightest.

Skye: Yeah. I wish I had your confidence.

Jax: When have we ever done anything the easy way?

Skye: Never.

Jax: You know, my life with you is full of the unexpected. That's one of the things I cherish most.

Skye: So why should our wedding be any different?

Jax: That's right. I'd be disappointed if it was.

A.J.: I have to leave.

Courtney: You have to go to the airport already?

A.J.: Yeah. You know, I wish I could stay for the whole wedding, but --

Courtney: Well, don't feel too bad. I mean, it looks like there's not going to even be one.

A.J.: Well, I'll call you as soon as I get in.

Courtney: Oh, wait, I'll walk you out.

A.J.: Ok.

Jax: Do you want to sit down?

Skye: Now, look, this is how it's going to go, all right? If those lights come on, then I'm not going to think twice. I'm just -- I'm just going to chalk it up to a temporary case of nerves, ok?

Jax: Ok.

[Rev. Dade sighs]

Rev. Dade: I'm afraid there's no hope in restoring the lights. The entire area has been left without power.

Skye: Oh, no.

Rev. Dade: I'm so sorry. If you'd like to reschedule, I'd be more than happy to perform the ceremony next week.

Felicia: Are you sure you saw Alcazar in here?

Roy: I saw this door move.

Felicia: Maybe you saw somebody else.

Roy: Maybe.

Felicia: Well, nobody's here now.

Roy: Let's keep searching.

Courtney: Is someone there?

Carly: No, I don't get you. I really don't. First, you drag me in there, you tell me I have to stay put. Then you drag me here --

Sonny: Alcazar's girlfriend doesn't know I'm alive. I'd like to keep it that way.

Carly: She's gone, ok? She escaped, remember?

Sonny: If Jason brings her back, I don't want her walking in on us.

Carly: Why is she so important?

Sonny: Alcazar wants her back.

Carly: No, you're keeping something from me. You know more than you're telling me.

Sonny: We didn't intend to grab her. She was just there.

Carly: Yeah, at St. Timothy's.

Sonny: Yeah. Jason brought her back here. He's been watching her.

Carly: What was she doing at St. Timothy's in the first place?

Sonny: I guess she wanted to get away from Alcazar. You know, she heard that he was coming after me, and she decided to warn me, you know? Needed my help or something.

Carly: She needed your help?

Sonny: Yeah.

Carly: She's lying, Sonny. Because the first thing she did as soon as she let Jason bring her back here was try to escape.

Sonny: Maybe there's something else she needed to do.

Carly: Yeah, like go right back to Alcazar.

Sonny: She won't.

Carly: How do you know that? She could. She could right now be doing that. And then, you know what, Sonny? You need to get out of here right now before Alcazar comes back here and tries to kill you for real!

Sonny: She's not going back to Alcazar. And even if he finds her, she's not going to tell him anything.

Carly: How do you know that, Sonny? How can you put so much faith in a woman you have never met before?

Jax: Skye.

[Skye sighs]

Jax: How are you feeling?

Skye: Honestly? A little -- a little dismayed.

Jax: Well, do you want to reschedule, or do you want to keep going?

Skye: I don't know. Maybe we've tempted fate enough tonight, you know, between the thunder and the lightning and the pouring rain, and now the power failure? Maybe --

Jax: Skye --

Skye: Maybe this isn't -- just isn't meant to be.

Jax: Skye, come on, you know we create our own fate.

Skye: I know, but maybe it's just a heavenly hint that this shouldn't happen tonight. I mean, it's not like we planned the wedding months ago. We only planned it days ago, so maybe it wouldn't be so terrible to reschedule.

Jax: Well, I want this to be the wedding of your dreams, so --

Skye: Well, then, so, maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have it next week or next month, when the weather and the stars are on our side.

Jax: Ok. If you want a clearer night, then we'll wait.

Skye: All right.

Jax: All right. You're sure?

Skye: I don't know, Jax. You're getting married, too. Well, what do you want?

Jax: I want to marry you tonight. I mean, they had weddings long before they invented electricity. I'm sure some of them took place in rainstorms.

Skye: Yeah, I know, but you have to admit --

Jax: Skye, this is what I've always dreamed of -- the two of us at the altar, saying our vows to each other. All that matters is what's in our hearts, our love for each other, the promises we're about to make, and we'll be together for the rest of our lives. I want to make you my wife tonight, if that's what you want.

Skye: More than anything in the whole world.

Jason: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you.

Courtney: Wow, what are you doing here?

Jason: I can't -- I can't tell you.

Courtney: This has something to do with my brother, doesn't it?

Jason: Look, Courtney, please, just go back inside and don't tell anyone you saw me.

Courtney: No, my brother was murdered in this church.

Jason: I know.

Courtney: Was there a woman involved?

Jason: Courtney, I did you a favor by helping A.J. Ok? I didn't want to help him. All my instincts told me not to, but I did -- for you. And now I need a favor in return, please. Just keep this quiet.

Courtney: All right. I never saw you.

Jason: Thank you.

Courtney: Just be careful, ok?

[Door opens]

Jason: Hey, hey, what are you doing here?

Max: Sonny says to forget Alcazar. Find Brenda and bring her back. That's all he cares about.

Jason: Ok. Let's go get Brenda.

Rev. Dade: Power failures and inclement weather notwithstanding, we have come to the heart of the ceremony, where Jax and Skye will pledge themselves to each other. The words are simple but powerful. They represent a promise to face the future, whatever it may hold, together. This is the foundation of their marriage -- to make and keep these promises of love and fidelity. Do so, Jax and Skye, I invite you to exchange your vows.

Skye: Before God, I, Skye, take you, Jax, to be my husband to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish you for as long as we both shall live. This is my solemn vow.

Jax: Before God, I, Jax, take you to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish for as long as we both shall live. This is my solemn vow.

Rev. Dade: With the exchange of vows, Jax and Skye have offered each other their trust and faith, the brightest hopes, darkest fears, for no life is without challenges, no love without trial. They will be sustained by the commitment they made to each other tonight by the support of those gathered here and by our prayers. The blessings we ask for them in the name of the lord.

Sonny: Alcazar's girlfriend was desperate to get away from him.

Carly: Maybe she was lying.

Sonny: Nope, she wasn't.

Carly: Sonny, she lives with an arms dealer, a murderer. What, she's miss honesty?

Sonny: She's the one who blew up his yacht to escape. She took a big risk, you know, showing herself to me. I guess that's the only way to get away from him.

Carly: Well, sinking his yacht's a bit extreme, don't you think?

Sonny: Alcazar is desperate for her. He's obsessed with her. She's like a drug to him. He doesn't care if she hates him or loves him, as long as she's with him.

Carly: And how can you know that?

Sonny: He's making mistakes.

Sonny: He thinks about her all the time -- her safety, how she feels, how he can make her his and no one else's. And then when she's away from him, all he cares about is getting her back. And sometimes he sees clearly. He knows he should walk away, because she could cost him everything. But he doesn't, because he -- he wants her so bad, she's become the center of his life. He can't get rid of her, even to save himself.

Carly: It sounds like you know Alcazar pretty well.

Sonny: I know his weakness. There are women who make you stronger, and then there are women who cut your heart out. And they may not even know they're doing it. They may be thinking that they're loving you. And it's not their fault that they're more addictive than heroin. And even at their sweetest, they're the worst thing you could ever have.

Carly: I would never do that to you, Sonny, I swear. I swear, I would never cut your heart out.

Sonny: Sometimes you drive me so crazy, I want to put my fist through a wall. Nine out of 10 times, you do the exact wrong thing. But I know deep in my heart I'm stronger with you than I am without you.

Rev. Dade: Now the exchange of rings, the symbols of Jax and Skye's marriage vows and commitment to each other. Bless, o Lord, these rings, as a sign of the vows by which this man and this woman have bound themselves to each other.

Rev. Dade: Jesus Christ our lord, amen.

Sonny: You cannot show up here again, ok?

Carly: Ok, but, Sonny, you know, I can help you a lot more if I know what is going on, if I'm not having to make wild guesses and scramble to cover things up that I don't understand.

Sonny: I don't tell you things for your own protection. You know that.

Carly: Same old same old.

Sonny: Yeah. Same old same old.

Carly: Well, luckily for you, you just said the exact right thing by saying I make you stronger. So now I'm going to do anything you want.

Sonny: Yeah? I like the sound of that.

Carly: Yeah?

Sonny: Yeah. All right.

Sonny: Ok. Ok, you're going to have -- you got to go, really.

Carly: Uh-uh. When am I going to see you again?

Sonny: Well, this will all be over soon.

Carly: Yeah? Not soon enough.

Sonny: No, no, no. No, no.

Carly: I'm going to miss you at night when I'm in bed by myself.

Sonny: Yeah? Well, I think about you, too.

Carly: Well, you know what?

Sonny: What?

Carly: It's a real shame to waste an opportunity like this. I think we should take advantage of it.

Sonny: Ok, you know what? One more --

[pounding on door]

Taggert: Open up! PCPD!

Scott: Don't try to run. We got the place surrounded.

Jax: Skye, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow and all that I am and all that I have. I honor you, in the name of God.

Skye: Jax, I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow and all that I am and all that I have. I honor you, in the name of God.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Carly: Get out of here or I'm going to take your head off!

Rev. Dade: You may kiss the bride.

Jax: Tonight will be full of surprises.

Alcazar: Brenda.

Brenda: I won't let you kill Jax. Kill me instead. Do it.
