>> Previously on "General Hospital" --
Laura: You were in the attic that night, and I know what happened.
Woman: Table five, the one facing the bar.
John: That one will give you a run for your money.
Jax: More than I ever imagined.
Jane: Don't let her slip away.
Carly: This isn't a deal, it's a test.
Sonny: 24 hours.
Carly: Oh, you think I can't resist you?
Roy: I've got a meeting this afternoon with the money man.
Jane: I couldn't be happier that Jax has found someone special.
Skye: Well, you never can tell with Jax.
Jane: Oh, yes, you can. Jax is in love with you. And for my son, being in love is not a passing fancy. Once it takes hold, it's a permanent state.
John: Buy a backpack and a pair of hiking boots.
Skye: Dare I ask?
John: You're coming with us to unchartered territory.
Jax: The Canadian wilderness.
John: A piece of heaven on earth right on top of the oil reserves that'll soon net the jacks family a second fortune. Yes, we'll be camping t here, smack in the middle of a petroleum --
Skye: No, don't tell me! I don't want to know.
Luke: Now, I got no problem talking in front of the press. What seems to be your beef?
Scott: Spencer, you come down here, you ambush me with some silly questions, all right? In case you don't understand, I'm the district attorney now. And you show up here and you act like a jackass, like you always do.
Luke: Why don't you let me worry about what I act like?
Scott: Well, you know what? The next time you bother, me I'll have you thrown in --
Luke: The next time I bother you, Iím going to get answers right there in front of the press. I'm going to find out what happened in the Scorpio attic on that rainy night so many years ago.
Scott: Oh, come on, you're like a broken record, Spencer.
Luke: And I'm going to stay broken until you answer the question.
Scott: Give it a rest.
Luke: You were there, Scott. Laura remembers you being there. And you weren't there to play eight-tracks or to neck with my future wife. So unless you want to be dogged by the press for the entire tenure of your D.A. experience, you answer the question -- what happened in that attic? Answer it now!
Laura: I know everything, Rick. It's all come back to me.
Rick: What exactly has come back?
Rick: Where did you get this picture?
Laura: I remembered her face. I asked an artist friend to sketch her for me. Look, there's no use pretending anymore.
Rick: Well, I'm afraid that I don't remember.
Laura: Oh, come on, Rick. It was a rainy night and e light was on in the attic, and I came up the stairs and I found you there with this woman. Now, who was she?
Rick: Someone that I had a relationship with.
Laura: A relationship?
Rick: A sexual relationship. I was cheating on your mother. Now, isn't that enough?
Laura: No. That's not enough because something more happened that night and I know you know what it is. Now, tell me.
Elizabeth: You're the reason the police are raiding Sonny's warehouse, aren't you? You broke in, stole something, did something, right? God, Zander. Are you crazy or just plain stupid?
Jason: No threats, no bribes. Whatever the health department says, that's what you're going to do. Got it? Good-bye.
Taggert: Perfect timing.
Jason: I'm busy.
Taggert: Yeah, I bet. DiLucca hit you and Sonny pretty hard, huh?
Jason: Good-bye, Lieutenant.
Taggert: You know what? Just one thing first. You know, if DiLucca -- he should happen to disappear? I'm coming after you for murder one.
Roy: Yeah. All right.
Felicia: When is the meeting?
Roy: I told you, the meeting is this afternoon.
Felicia: Roy, we're business partners. Tell me where the meeting is with this mysterious benefactor.
Roy: Felicia, before I tell you anything, we're going to have to sit down and talk about some ground rules here, okay?
Courtney: Hi. We have a table for two?
Roy: Thank you.
Felicia: Table for two.
Felicia: Is this it? Thank you.
Courtney: Mm-hmm. Our specials today are turkey meatloaf and chicken pot pie.
Roy: I know you, don't I?
Carly: What are you doing?
Sonny: I'm giving up. I want you. It's obvious you don't want me, so I'm admitting defeat.
Carly: Well, that's a first. Or is it? Breaking news -- Sonny Corinthos admits defeat.
Sonny: I'm going to go for a swim to cool off.
Carly: Enjoy yourself.
Sonny: Well, you're coming with me.
Carly: I'll pass, thank you.
Sonny: You cannot say no till tomorrow.
Carly: Well, whose is that, Alexis'?
Sonny: Alexis has never been to this place. Besides, when there's a little tag on the bathing suit, that means it's brand-new. Where you going?
Carly: To change.
Sonny: No, you change right here.
Carly: Why? So you can ogle me?
Sonny: I like to watch.
Carly: No way.
Sonny: We have a deal.
Carly: Fine. Enjoy it because this is the last time this will ever be yours.
Jax: What's wrong?
Skye: I -- I --
Jane: Oh, you men, putting poor Skye on the spot. Do you honestly think camping with her lover's parents is her idea of a dream vacation?
Skye: Oh, you know, actually, I mentioned before that I'm not really much of a camper.
John: Oh, well, we can cure that in no time.
Jane: You simply havenít been camping with the Jackses.
Jax: My parents don't give up easily, do they?
John: We'll coordinate the time for the trip. Meanwhile, your highness, we'd better get going.
Jane: I would like a moment with Skye.
John: It's been a pleasure, Skye. We'll see you again -- soon, I hope.
Skye: Oh, have a good flight.
Jax: I'll be -- I'll be back soon.
Skye: Oh, all right.
Jane: If we had known we were going to like you so much, we would have scheduled a longer stay.
Skye: Oh. Oh, no, no, not your bracelet, that's too special.
Jane: That's why I'm giving it to you.
Skye: Oh, I -- I don't know what to say.
Jane: Now, this Inuit symbol is for peace, and this one is for happiness. May the bracelet bring you both.
Skye: Thank you so much.
Jane: Good-bye, dear. We'll be in touch.
Edward: My God, what long-winded bores. I thought they'd never leave.
Edward: I was right. The Jacks have a $5 billion ace up their sleeve. Won't they be surprised when they find out that we've stacked the deck, huh?
Roy: I'm sorry, I -- I know your face. I just can't quite place it.
Courtney: Well, people tell me that all the time. I guess I just have one of those faces.
Roy: No, I just ran into you the other day. What's your name?
Felicia: She's Sonny's sister.
Roy: Oh. Well, that's not it because Sonny and I don't socialize.
Courtney: Well, neither do Sonny and I. Maybe you've seen me here at Kellyís.
Roy: Well -- well, maybe. That's -- I don't mean to make a big deal of it.
Man: Excuse me? Can I get some more coffee, please?
Courtney: I'll be back to take your order.
Courtney: I'll take one of your tables if you'll take number five.
Roy: Okay, the meeting is on the docks.
Felicia: What time? 1:00? 2:00? 5:00? You need to tell me something.
Roy: You know, I'd rather not say.
Felicia: Why wouldn't you want to tell me?
Roy: Because I don't want you to come.
Felicia: We're business partners -- 50/50.
Roy: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but that doesn't mean we have to do everything together. And I -- this could be dangerous.
Felicia: You need a backup.
Roy: That is out of the question.
Mac: Is there a problem? Hi.
Felicia: Yeah, actually, there is a problem, you know? All that fire damage in our attic and down on the docks where my business is. I feel like an arsonist's magnet.
Mac: The blaze at the pier had nothing to do with you, Felicia. You just got caught in the crossfire. Right, Roy?
Roy: I wouldn't know, Mac.
Mac: You buy a property, a few days later it gets torched. A couple days after that, Sonny's coffee shipment gets tainted. Come on, it's not that hard to connect the dots, Roy. Things are escalating on the waterfront, maybe leading to a war.
Roy: Well, your guess is as good as mine.
Mac: Oh. Can I get a word with you?
Roy: You know, I got to run. I'll catch you later.
Felicia: What about your lunch?
Roy: Well, you know, there's something I got to do, so if you'll excuse me.
Mac: You're getting in deep here, Felicia.
Felicia: I'll tell you what -- if anything happens and I need your help, I will call you, I promise.
Mac: I have a better idea. Stay out of trouble before it finds you. It cost you in the past. I'd hate to see it happen again.
Luke: You're scared, Baldwin. You're nervous.
Scott: No, Spencer, what I am -- I'm fed up, I'm annoyed. Where do you get off grilling me about some night with Laura? You didn't even exist back then. I mean, I told her everything that happened.
Luke: You are such a lying sack of --
Scott: No, no, let me just tell you something, all right? I've had it with you. In fact, just get out of here before I have you thrown out.
Luke: You are nervous. You've been nervous for a while. You were nervous the night of Rick's party, you were nervous after the attic fire, and you get real nervous whenever I ask you how you happened to be driving by there in time to put out the blaze.
Scott: What I am is worried about Laura.
Luke: No, you're worried, all right, but you're worried that the jig is up, and it is because I know you're the one that set the fire -- to hide whatever the hell happened.
Scott: Nothing happened. It's in Lauraís mind.
Luke: Oh, I see, now Lauraís a nut case and I'm a jackass.
Scott: Well, everybody knows that's true. Laura is having some nightmares, okay? Now here you are stirring things up. Haven't you got anything better to do? Why don't you go down to your club and pour yourself a stiff one, Spencer, and leave me alone.
Luke: Was this woman in her nightmare?
Scott: I have no idea who that woman is.
Luke: Of course you do. She was in the attic that night. You saw her. So did Laura.
Scott: Look --
Luke: She was part of whatever happened that Laura has repressed. Now, you tell me who she is.
Scott: I don't know anything about this fantasy --
Luke: You tell me who she is or I'll reach in there --
Guard: Sir, is there a problem here?
Scott: Yeah, there's a big problem here. Throw him out of here.
Luke: It's all right, Officer, I can throw myself out.
Rick: It's the woman I slept with. I was a lying, cheating bastard, but there are no excuses and I'm not going to try to make out that there are.
Laura: What was her name, Rick?
Rick: What difference does that make?
Laura: It makes a difference to me. I want to know who she was.
Rick: A nurse here at the hospital.
Laura: And you invited her back to our home? Why?
Rick: I didn't. She came. She -- she had no boundaries.
Laura: She had no boundaries?
Rick: She was psychotic, Laura. I didn't know that in the beginning, and when I found out, I broke it off.
Laura: Okay, so what was her name?
Rick: She left town just a few days after this happened. And please, forget it, it's in the past. She's poisoned -- she almost destroyed us as a family.
Rick: Laura, please. Please, believe me. It is over. It's done. Now, she did enough damage to last us a lifetime. Please, don't let her do any more.
Skye: There's nothing for you to get a jump on.
Edward: You are lying to me, Skye. You know what, young lady? You are going to end up penniless and alone because you have let your head be turned by a suave rouť and his charming parents.
Skye: You are entitled to your opinion.
Edward: I had great hopes for you, Skye. You're intelligent and you are resourceful and you have backbone. That's why I offered you the chance to get your Quartermaine legacy back. But you have chosen to throw it all away for a brief passing stint as a rich man's toy. I am very disappointed, but, as you say, it's your decision.
Skye: They're drilling for oil in Canada.
Edward: Oh. Well, big place, Canada. Did they say where?
Skye: No. There's a map.
Luke: Sit down, please.
Lesley: I'm sorry I'm late.
Laura: That's okay.
Lesley: I got stuck -- well, where did that come from?
Laura: Elizabeth drew it for me. It's a sketch of a woman's face that I remembered. Obviously you remember it, too.
Luke: That's the woman you told me about, isn't it, Lesley?
Lesley: Yeah. Yeah. One of Rick's lovers.
Luke: But she was different.
Lesley: Yes. Yes, she was strange. She was -- she was very aggressive. She was the only one who ever came to the house. You opened the door.
Laura: I did?
Laura: I only remember seeing her once, and it was up in the attic room. I walked in, and she was there.
Lesley: With Rick?
Laura: Yeah, they were making love.
Lesley: Oh, that bitch! Why did I wait so long to get rid of her?
Carly: Well, I have to admit that felt good.
Sonny: Yeah? Well, all you got to do is trust me.
Sonny: Oh, wait a minute. Dry me off.
Carly: Oh, right, right. Yeah, I know -- the deal. Okay.
Sonny: Yeah. Okay, wait a minute.
Sonny: Let me show you how it's done, all right?
Carly: I've used a towel before, thank you.
Sonny: Turn around.
Sonny: Someday you're going to care for a man as much as you used to care for me.
Sonny: And when you're in this position, you won't even want to know how to do it. Am I right?
Sonny: Oh, yeah.
Laura: Mom? What happened?
Lesley: Well, it just was this nightmare experience. I had -- it's hard to talk about. I had known that Rick was having affairs. But he always kept them separate, you know, away from us.
Laura: But this one was different?
Lesley: Yeah, it started with -- it started with phone calls in the middle of the night. Wrong numbers, strange accents, different names.
Laura: And they were all from her?
Lesley: Yeah. I didn't really realize it until she took it one step further.
Luke: Like coming to the house.
Lesley: Actually, it started other places first. The dentist's waiting room. The shop when I took the car in to be serviced. Beauty parlor, she was sitting -- she was sitting two chairs away from me when I was getting my hair done. So it finally dawned on me that I was being stalked. So when she showed up at our house, I decided she had to go.
Laura: What did you do?
Lesley: I -- I raided our savings, and I cashed in some bonds, and I paid her to leave town.
Luke: What was her name?
Lesley: Debbie, Linda, Marsha -- she used them all.
Luke: How did you find her?
Lesley: She worked at the hospital.
Luke: Well, then, Lesley, you must have known her real name.
Lesley: I don't remember.
Laura: But if it went on so long --
Lesley: I don't want to remember, all right? I blocked it out. I have blocked a whole lot of things out, and I would like it to stay that way. Anyway -- anyway, guys, what difference could it possibly make now?
Elizabeth: Are you trying to prove you're tougher than Jason?
Zander: I don't need to prove anything.
Elizabeth: Oh, so breaking into the Corinthos-Morgan warehouse was just for kicks? Zander, you're risking your life. Don't you get that?
Zander: I can handle myself.
Elizabeth: Yeah, well, I think you're asking for trouble.
Zander: Well, save the warnings. I'm not scared of Jason.
Elizabeth: He put you in the hospital, Zander.
Zander: Yeah, and next time it's going to be him.
Elizabeth: Oh, another fight with Jason? You've already penciled that in? When? This week? Next week? Tell me.
Zander: You really want to be in the middle of all this? All right, fine. You go to Jason and you tell him to mind his own business. You warn him that he and Sonny aren't the only game in town. There are people in this town who have the guts to stand up to him.
Elizabeth: You think I want Jason instead of you. But I chose you, so why can't you just let it go and relax?
Roy: Excuse me for interrupting, but the door is open.
Elizabeth: Oh, it's perfect timing. I need some air.
Elizabeth: Hi, Roy.
Roy: Hey, man. Well, it sounds like your issues with the Corinthos camp are a little more complicated than you let on. Is that going to be a problem?
Zander: No. I know what I'm doing.
Roy: I hope so. It would be a shame if your personal psychodrama got in the way of business.
Zander: You gave me a job. I did it. Any complaints, you let me know.
Roy: Well, the cops found the tainted coffee right on schedule, so I appreciate that.
Zander: Thank you.
Roy: Any problems at the warehouse? Any surprises? Any unexpected difficulties or details?
Roy: Got in and out clean, huh?
Zander: Went like clockwork.
Roy: Well, that's good. That's real good. That cheers me right the hell up. Thanks. I'll be in touch.
Man: The half a million bucks could have been impounded by the PCPD. Or a dirty cop could have seen visions of a condo in Maui.
Jason: No, the warehouse and the missing cash was a one-two punch. Somebody is trying to hit us hard.
Man: Too hard. We're looking at a full-blown investigation and a lengthy warehouse shutdown. The situation is serious. Mr. Corinthos would want to know.
Jason: Mr. Corinthos doesn't want to know anything until he's back from the island.
Man: We can't let time just pass.
Jason: Greg, it's covered. Okay? The person who did this is someone who we know.
Roy: You seem to have a problem.
Jason: Well, you know what? Sonny's going to be back in 12 hours. You have until then to turn this around.
Roy: Your threats are wasted, Jason.
Jason: It's not a threat. I'm telling you how it is.
Greg: Why didn't you tell him to return the cash?
Jason: If he did it, he got the message. If he didn't, he doesn't need to know anything --
Elizabeth: Jason. I'm sorry to interrupt. Do you have a minute?
Jason: No, I donít.
Elizabeth: It's really important.
Elizabeth: Can I see you alone?
Carly: Sonny, I -- Sonny, I can't. I can't, I can't.
Sonny: Can't what?
Carly: I can't, I can't. I can't do this again. We were here before when we lost our baby. I can't -- I can't keep repeating the same mistake.
Sonny: It wasn't a mistake.
Carly: Sonny, you brought me here to rest, to heal and get my strength back.
Sonny: And you did. We did together.
Carly: We never should have been together in the first place.
Sonny: What are you talking about?
Carly: Sonny, we only needed each other because we had suffered a loss, because we were mourning and there was this big, gaping hole, and somehow we filled that up for each other. It's not real.
Sonny: Do you love me?
Carly: You know that's not the point --
Sonny: Do you love me?
Carly: You know I do, yes. Sonny, you can't give me what I need, though.
Sonny: I'll give you anything you want, Carly -- my heart, my soul, a baby, this island, a continent. Whatever you want. Just say it, and I swear to God, it's yours.
Carly: You really would try to give me anything, wouldn't you?
Sonny: What do you want?
Carly: You. All of you.
Sonny: I'm yours.
Carly: You can't do it, Sonny, and I'm too greedy to settle for just a little piece.
Sonny: I'm trying everything I can --
Carly: I know you are. I know you are. I'm not blaming you -- at least not anymore. Look, this is how you are, and it's just -- it's why we can't ever be together.
Sonny: You're not giving us a chance.
Carly: Sonny, how much can either of us really change?
Sonny: Let me prove it.
Carly: I canít. I can't open up my heart again and -- and hope that you're not going to shut that door on me again. Because you know what, Sonny? It keeps happening over and over again, no matter how good your intentions are. You shut me out for a year last time. And I begged and pleaded for you to open that door, but you wouldn't let me in.
Sonny: I did.
Carly: Yeah, after a year.
Sonny: Well --
Carly: Look, I wanted you back so desperately, but you wouldn't open that door. But Alexis -- she had these magic words. You let her in anytime. It was like, "knock, knock, knock." "Who is it?" "Oh, it's Alexis." "Well, come on in." You know what, Sonny? I remember every time she came over and how you asked me to leave so you could speak to her in private and how -- what you said to me and what you said to her, what she said to me --
Sonny: I don't love Alexis.
Carly: But whatever it was you felt for Alexis, it certainly gave her power that I've never had.
Sonny: Well, I can't take back, you know, what I've done any more than you can. Iím -- I'm here -- I'm here with you now, not because I have to be. Because I chose to be. And I chose to be with you because I love you and you're my wife. Yeah, my life would be a lot easier and a lot quieter, but I don't care about all that stuff, okay? Because I want to be with you. I want us to be together.
Elizabeth: Thank you for seeing me, Jason. I just needed some time alone with you.
Elizabeth: I know I'm probably the last person you want to see right now. You must think I take advantage of our relationship.
Jason: You do what you do.
Elizabeth: You mean a lot to me, Jason. And I have come to you for comfort, friendship, and total acceptance. We've also had this strong attraction, and I didn't mean to hurt you --
Jason: Please --
Elizabeth: In any way, Jason.
Jason: Elizabeth, what do you want?
Elizabeth: Please don't hurt Zander.
Jax: I knew it.
Skye: I -- I was just trying to --
Jax: Don't invent excuses, Skye. I know what you're doing.
Skye: No, no -- no, you donít.
Jax: It was bound to happen sooner or later. You saw what's in the safe.
Skye: I did. I did, and, you know, your parents actually made camping sound fun after all.
Jax: I'm on to you, Skye.
Skye: You know, we can look at it together, and you can tell me all about the wilderness and say how gorgeous it is and all that.
Jax: Yeah. So is what you saw in the safe.
Skye: It's just a map.
Jax: You know, I apologize. I should have done this weeks ago. Except my -- my plan hit a snag.
Skye: What's that?
Jax: It's a little late for a show of innocence. Go ahead. Open it.
Skye: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Is this for me?
Jax: On one condition --
Jax: That you'll marry me.
Laura: You think that my mother lied?
Luke: Well, how do you forget the name of a woman who was your husband's fatal attraction, who terrorized and stalked your whole family?
Laura: But she said she blocked it out.
Luke: Well, that's the one-size-fits-all excuse, isn't it?
Laura: Well, I repressed the memory completely.
Luke: Well, but, darling, you only saw her once or twice. She was in your mother's face over and over again for weeks, maybe months.
Laura: I just don't understand why she wouldn't want us to know her name.
Luke: Yeah, I don't, either. I think there's a way to find out the name, though.
Luke: Well, I'll check all the personnel records and see if there's any young woman in her late 20s, early 30s who quit the hospital abruptly in the summer of 1978. How many could there be?
Luke: See you later.
Laura: All right.
Rick: Laura? Are you all right?
Elizabeth: I know Zander's been working against you and Sonny.
Jason: No, he works for Roy, and Roy is our enemy.
Elizabeth: And there are consequences. I get that. But it's not like Zander's a full-on criminal. When he's hurt, he acts first and he thinks later, which is exactly what he's doing now.
Jason: That's his problem, not Sonnyís.
Elizabeth: Okay. He is a decent man with a kind and generous heart. Emily knew that.
Jason: Don't -- don't use Emily.
Elizabeth: She believed in him.
Jason: This has nothing to do with her.
Elizabeth: Jason, Zander is a friend of mine -- more than a friend. And if you hurt him, you're going to be hurting me. I know that's not what you want to hear right now --
Jason: Yeah. No, okay. I'll take care of it.
Elizabeth: Jason, please. If there's anything left between us at all, you won't hurt him.
Jason: I have things to do. You have to go.
Man: Roy DiLucca. Finally, we meet.
Roy: It's about time. So, who are you and what do you want?
Carly: Sonny, your words would mean everything to me if they were true.
Sonny: You are the most important thing to me in my life.
Carly: Yeah, but love doesn't come first for you. Responsibility is what matters.
Sonny: Marriage is responsibility.
Carly: Yeah, so is a child, whether it's mine or someone else's. And you were ready to walk out that door when you thought that Alexis was carrying your child.
Sonny: That's not true. I needed to confront her.
Carly: Yeah, and can you honestly say that you thought you'd come back to me?
Sonny: I didn't know.
Carly: You see? That's what I'm saying. Look, Sonny, I'm not mad at you. I'm past it, okay? It's just that this is the simple truth. You -- you were just going to do what you thought was right.
Sonny: I said I didn't know -- past tense.
Carly: That's because Alexis told you that the baby was Nedís, so you came back. But if the baby had been yours, then I'd have been left out in the cold.
Carly: Sonny, you just said --
Sonny: I would have not left -- I wouldn't have left you, Carly. I didn't know that until Alexis opened the door. I just -- I had a feeling.
Carly: What? What kind of feeling?
Sonny: I wouldn't have stayed with Alexis even if she -- she had my child because I don't believe in part-time fathers, and that's what I would have become. I mean, I would have been involved in my child's life -- financially, whatever -- but I wouldn't have left you because you're my wife.
Carly: Are you saying that you would stay with me even if Alexis was carrying your baby?
Sonny: No doubt about it. I wouldn't leave you, Carly, because I love you. I wouldn't have left you then. Not then. Not now.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Courtney: A.J., hi.
A.J.: Aren't you going to introduce us?
Rick: Don't be afraid of me, honey.
Luke: Is there a problem here?
Roy: You meant to buy me with that money. What do you expect in return?
Carly: I'm about to do something that I swore that I never would do.
Skye: Jax, are you serious?
Jax: I love you.
