Lucky: Did you help Helena escape?
Nikolas: I did.
Taggert: I'm going to nail that Cassadine, no matter what it takes.
Sarah: I won't do this to my sister. It's the way it has to be.
Courtney: What's your name?
Michael: Michael Corinthos.
Bobbie: Carly is alive.
Sonny: I want to believe you.
Nikolas: Good morning.
Gia: You've already been riding?
Nikolas: I keep telling you, it's the best way to start a morning. Wow.
Gia: Hmm, part man, part horse, hmm?
Nikolas: Yeah, I took a long ride.
Gia: Where to?
Nikolas: Along the coast.
Gia: Isn't that on the other side of the island?
Nikolas: Sheba needed exercise. Would you like some orange juice, croissants, anything?
Gia: You were trying to get your mind off Lucky, weren't you?
Nikolas: Gia, Lucky's out of my life, and I am extremely -- you want some? -- tired of wasting my energy on him.
Gia: Nikolas, Lucky meant everything to you. It's not something you can just erase. He's your brother. He's part of who you are. I mean, you have memories together.
Nikolas: Exactly. Memories and that's all.
Gia: This is all my fault.
Nikolas: No, it's not. No, it is not your fault.
Gia: Yes, it is. I'm the one who ran the red light; I'm the one who Helena blackmailed. Everything that you have done has been for me, and -- you're still paying for it. It --
Nikolas: You and I are in this together. Okay? I chose to help you, I chose the course of action, and I would do it all again if I had to.
Gia: Even knowing what it would cost you?
Nikolas: Yeah, I mean, right and wrong aren't always clear-cut. You and I were faced with a thousand shades of gray. We did what we thought was best.
Gia: Well, Lucky disagrees.
Nikolas: Gia, I told Lucky everything. Didn't work. It's over, and I don't --
Gia: You told him everything? You mean, the truth about what we did? Are you crazy?
Lucky: Right here. Put this here. All right. So, what we're looking for in a black and white is a range of tone quality, from pure white to deep black. You see?
Maxie: Yeah. That's a really nice composition.
Maxie: Uh -- um --
Lucky: Do you remember what we talked about yesterday?
Maxie: Oh, yeah. Okay. The car in the background shifts your eye towards the model, and there's a sense of movement going this way.
Lucky: You have a good eye, my dear.
Lucky: Oh -- can you go talk to Elton and see if my mom's coming in later? I need to sign off on these prints.
Lucky: Thank you.
Lucky: Such a liar, Gia.
[Knock on door]
Lucky: Who is it?
Sarah: It's me, Sarah.
Lucky: Hold on a second.
Sarah: I know we said we'd stay away from each other, but I -- I had to see you.
Courtney: You're -- you're Michael Corinthos?
Courtney: Well, Michael, thanks for being so nice to Rosie. Look, she really likes you. Oh-ho-ho. She's in doggie paradise right now.
Michael: Yep. I like dogs. They're cute.
Courtney: Oh. I can see that. Oh, come here, Rosie.
Michael: Come on, Rosie. Rosie?
Courtney: So you're picking flowers, huh?
Michael: Yeah, they're for Uncle Sonny's birthday party.
Courtney: Oh, wow. You're having a birthday party for Sonny?
Michael: When my mom gets back.
Sonny: Who are these people? How can you be sure they found Carly?
Jax: I hired the divers myself. They're experts. And they believe they found your daughter's body. I'm so sorry.
Nikolas: Doesn't matter that Lucky knows the truth.
Gia: Nikolas, he's furious with you.
Nikolas: Gia, it is his word against mine.
Gia: You told me again and again to admit nothing. You never let anyone see my guilt.
Nikolas: And I promise you, everything is going to be fine, okay?
Gia: Lucky's already been to the police once before, do you remember? He tried so hard to convince Mac that I was the one who ran the red light.
Nikolas: Did he succeed? No.
Gia: Did you admit to Lucky that we helped Helena?
Nikolas: Yes, I did.
Gia: Oh, God!
Nikolas: Gia, he guessed it a long time ago. He asked me for the truth, and I told him.
Gia: Well, why would you do that?
Nikolas: Because, really, he has no proof. Think about this logically. If Lucky goes back to the police and starts placing accusations, he's not going to get anywhere. Nothing's going to happen, I promise you that.
Gia: There was no reason in the world that you had to tell Lucky. I don't get it. Why?
Nikolas: Because he wanted the truth. And maybe it was a chance for us to find some sort of middle ground, and -- and who knows?
Gia: You know, this has nothing to do with logic. It's all about feelings and regrets --
Nikolas: Oh --
Gia: How much you miss your brother and how bad you feel about disappointing your mother.
Nikolas: It's over. Let it go, please.
Gia: It is not over. We are still paying the price. And doing all this damage control and covering like crazy, trying to get back what we once had -- you know, it's like we're just caught in this web of lies, and we are struggling to get out. But the more we struggle, the more tangled we get.
Nikolas: Haven't I taken care of things so far?
Gia: Well, yes, but --
Nikolas: Yes, but nothing. There are two ways to get through life, Gia -- one, being afraid of anything that comes your way, and, two, ready to take on any challenge. Look at me. Don't lose faith in yourself. And don't lose faith in me. We are in this together, and I would do anything in the world for you. Okay? We will make this work. I promise you that.
Gia: I feel safe when I'm with you.
Nikolas: Good, because as long as you are with me, there is nothing to be afraid of, okay?
Taggert: So -- what do you have for me on Nikolas Cassadine?
Sharifa: Every time I think I'm about to catch him doing or saying something we could use as evidence, Nikolas covers. Look, Lieutenant, your sister's fiancé is one very accomplished liar.
Taggert: Nobody's that good.
Sharifa: No. I mean, Nikolas will slip up. And when he does, we'll have him.
Taggert: The problem is I don't have that kind of time. If we don't have something in 48 hours, I'm going to have to shut this investigation down, send you back to New York City.
Sharifa: I need a week.
Taggert: I've already overused my authority on this. Two days -- we don't have something in hand, Nikolas Cassadine walks free.
Sarah: I just -- I didn't want you to hear this from some stranger or the radio or --
Sarah: Yeah. There's been a body brought into the hospital and they're saying it's Carly’s.
Lucky: Are they sure?
Sarah: I think so.
Lucky: Oh, boy. We've all been hoping and praying. I guess it was stupid to think that she could survive a crash like that. I kept telling myself that it would probably come down to this. Still, my aunt's already lost one daughter. I don't know how she's going to handle losing Carly, Sarah. I don't know how I'm going to help her.
Sarah: I'm so sorry.
Courtney: So, Michael, tell me about this party that yore giving for Sonny. Are you going to have balloons? Birthday cake and ice cream? Yeah? What kind of cake?
Michael: Chocolate. It's Uncle Sonny's favorite.
Courtney: You call him Uncle, huh?
Michael: He's really my dad.
Courtney: Well, is Sonny a pretty okay dad?
Michael: The best in the world. Aw!
Leticia: Mr. Corinthos is a wonderful father.
Leticia: Oh, yeah. No matter how busy he is, he's always making time for Michael -- huh, kiddo?
Leticia: He plays games with him, takes him here to the park, teaches him all sorts of things.
Courtney: Well, it sounds like Sonny is a pretty special guy in your life, Michael.
Leticia: He is. Well, we're going to leave you alone now, and I hope Michael didn't bother you.
Courtney: Oh, no, not at all. Thanks for stopping by, Michael. Rosie and I had a good time.
Courtney: Bye. A.J. God, how long have you been standing there?
A.J.: Long enough. I couldn't take my eyes off you with my son.
Courtney: Well, I'm so glad that I got a chance to meet him.
A.J.: How'd you know it was him?
Courtney: I didn't. He just came over to play with Rosie, and he introduced himself.
A.J.: Thank you for being so kind to him.
Courtney: Well, it was easy. He's adorable.
A.J.: Yes, he is. And Leticia saw, as well. It couldn't have gone better.
Courtney: What do you mean?
A.J.: Well, you've met Michael. He obviously liked you. That can only help our court case when I try to bring my son back home, where he belongs.
Courtney: Well, A.J., let's -- let's get something straight right now, okay? I wasn't thinking of any court case. I didn't have an agenda. I was being nice to Michael because he's a good kid. His mother may be dead.
Jax: Bobbie, I'm so sorry. Okay. I know that we all wanted Carly so desperately to come home full of life as she always was, but my divers believe that they found Carly. Everything matches up -- the description, the area that the car went in.
Bobbie: Jax, I truly appreciate what you've done, but whatever poor soul your divers may have found, there's one thing I know for certain -- it's not my daughter.
Sarah: Lucky, I'm so sorry.
Lucky: I just -- I don't know how my aunt's going to be able to get through this.
Sarah: She and Carly really close?
Lucky: Yeah. Yeah, but it took a while. You know my aunt gave up Carly for adoption at birth, right?
Sarah: I remember hearing something about it.
Lucky: Yeah, well, then Carly showed up in Port Charles years later, basically tearing aunt Bobbie’s life apart. You know, my aunt could have been angry about that. She could have been upset, but she chose to forgive Carly. You know, sometimes I think that my aunt's love for Carly was stronger because she worked so hard to make it happen.
Sarah: So this is going to hurt her even worse.
Lucky: Yeah. Yeah. Well, Carly and I, we were real tight. We had personality clashes. But I got to hand it to Carly, you know, she was -- whew -- she was a tough one. She was a survivor. That's a bad choice of words.
Sarah: No, it's okay.
Lucky: But, you know, that's why my aunt wouldn't believe that she was gone. Because she knew that she was a fighter. She knew that she wouldn't give up. All right. I got to help my aunt. I got to be there for her. I got to finish these prints, though, too. I'll do it later tonight. My mom's going to have to understand. Hello, who's there?
Lucky: Maxie. Hey -- hey, let go of the door knob.
Maxie: I don't know what I did. I mean, I was just trying to open it, but it stuck. I guess it needs a key.
Lucky: Well, I've got it here in my pocket.
Maxie: Okay. Shove it under the door.
Lucky: Maxie, this is a dark room. You cannot slide a key under the door. You know what? Go get Elton. Maybe he's got a key.
Maxie: Okay. Are you okay in there?
Lucky: Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Can you get -- just go get Elton, please.
Maxie: Lucky, I'm so sorry.
Lucky: No, it's all right. Accidents happen. Just get Elton, please.
Gia: Some juice?
Nikolas: Thank you.
Mrs. Lansbury: Sorry to intrude, but this package was just delivered.
Nikolas: Thank you, Mrs. Lansbury.
Gia: It says "urgent."
Nikolas: If I opened everything that was urgent, I'd be at my desk for 16 hours a day, Gia.
Gia: It's a V.H.S. tape and just unmarked. That's kind of suspicious, isn't it?
Nikolas: And a note.
Gia: Who's it from?
Nikolas: Mrs. Lansbury, can you finish that later, please?
Mrs. Lansbury: Yes, Sir.
Nikolas: Thank you.
Gia: What is it?
Nikolas: It's from Helena. It says, "You kept your part of the bargain. I've kept mine."
Gia: Helena is in prison.
Nikolas: Maybe, but her employees aren't. This could have come from anywhere -- a lawyer, a servant. No idea.
Gia: What do you think's on the tape?
Nikolas: Let's find out.
A.J.: Courtney, I -- I did not mean to imply that you're taking advantage of Carly’s accident.
Courtney: Yeah, well, it sure sounded that way.
A.J.: No, no, no, no, no. I'm just being realistic, that's all. Look, if Carly didn't survive, Michael will soon find out he's lost his mother, okay? He's going to be heartbroken.
Courtney: Yeah, he will.
A.J.: Well, he still has a parent, and that's me, not Sonny.
Courtney: Michael doesn't know that.
A.J.: That's because he's been mislead for years, Courtney. It's time to stop the confusion and reassure Michael that I'm here and ready to be in his life.
Courtney: A.J., I don't think that's such a good idea.
A.J.: What are you talking about? Hey, hey.
Courtney: Oh, hey. Is this for me?
Michael: And Rosie.
Courtney: Oh, that's so sweet, Michael. Thanks -- I'll put it in water as soon as I get home.
Leticia: Come on, Michael, let's go.
A.J.: Hey, Michael, I'm --
Courtney: A.J., don't.
A.J.: What? What? I just want to talk to Michael.
Courtney: You have a restraining order against you.
A.J.: I don't care. I'll risk it. There's nothing more important than this.
Bobbie: Did you actually see the body?
Bobbie: Then how do you know?
Jax: My men gave me a full report.
Bobbie: Did they compare the body with the pictures we distributed?
Jax: Now, you know, that wasn't possible.
Bobbie: I'm a nurse. And I know what water can do to the remains. The body was unrecognizable. Your men couldn't be sure.
Jax: Look, Bobbie -- everything -- everything matches up.
Bobbie: You think I'm in denial, don't you?
Jax: No. No, I -- Bobbie, I -- I --
Bobbie: I have had patients die in my care. And I have had to tell the family and the loved ones. I know what denial looks like. I've seen a lot of it firsthand. That is not what I'm experiencing. This corpse is not Carly. I'm her mother. And believe me, a mother knows.
Jax: Then I don't know what to tell you.
Bobbie: Well, then I guess I -- should go to the morgue, make the I.D. myself.
Jax: No, no -- you said yourself a visual I.D. is impossible.
Bobbie: I can prove that body's not Carly. You can prove it with this. Have them run a D.N.A. test. Use the hair from this brush as a sample of my daughter's D.N.A. Then we can stop all this pussyfooting around.
Sonny: I'll do it.
Bobbie: Oh, Sonny, you don't have to go.
Jax: No, it's okay. I -- I can -- I can do it.
Sonny: Bobbie, give me the brush.
Jax: Well, then, I guess I'll stay here with you.
Bobbie: Jax, I don't need handholding. I need to know that those tests are being run properly so there's absolutely no doubt.
Jax: Okay. I'll make sure they are. I'll take care of it.
Bobbie: Thank you.
Jax: I'll talk to you soon.
Lucky: You know, this could be a really funny situation if it wasn't for Carly.
Sarah: Well, don't worry. We'll be out of here in a second and you can go see your aunt.
Lucky: I really am worried about her, Sarah.
Sarah: I know, but I'm sure all her friends are with her and your dad, too.
Lucky: Yeah. Well, there's no point in wasting any time. You know what? Can you help me with these prints here?
Lucky: I want to get at least one job done before Elton gets back.
Lucky: So if you could hand me that thing, right underneath the enlarger there? Yeah. Thank you.
Lucky: For what?
Sarah: Mostly for Carly. But also for this visit not going exactly as planned.
Lucky: Well, Sarah, it's not your fault that we got locked in this room.
Sarah: No, I know. But we agreed to stay away from each other. And we should. If I don't see you, then I won't be tempted to do something I shouldn’t.
Lucky: No, you know what? Sarah, I -- I'm the one who should apologize. When I saw you in the gym yesterday, I should've just walked away. But you didn't even see me. You didn't know I was there. Nothing had to happen. I just -- I just -- I couldn't help myself.
Sarah: I didn't exactly do anything to stop you. But Elizabeth said that she couldn't take it if we were together and we have to respect that.
Lucky: I just --
Sarah: I really thought I'd just show up, give you the news, and go.
Lucky: Elton, hey! Do you have a key?
Elton: No, I don't have a key.
Lucky: Well -- can you find somebody who has one, please?
Elton: Well, I'll go see if the superintendent has one. Keep your fingers crossed. I'll be right back.
Maxie: Are you really okay?
Lucky: Yeah, I'm fine. You know what? Why don't you go help Elton, Maxie?
Lucky: Excuse me.
Lucky: How do you look so beautiful under such awful lights, huh?
Gia: Turn up the sound.
Gia: I'll help you get away, no matter what the cost.
Helena: Well, I'm so grateful.
Gia: What are you doing?
Nikolas: I don't need to see any more.
Gia: You said that -- that all Lucky had was his word against yours.
Gia: Well, guess what -- if Lucky sees this tape, he's going straight to the police.
Nikolas: Helena would never send it to Lucky.
Gia: Okay, what about Luke? Luke and Helena have a pretty twisted relationship. I mean, what if she's trying to taunt him or something?
Nikolas: This is my grandmother. I know her. This is a message.
Gia: Yeah, I'll say.
Nikolas: She wants us to know that she has an ace in the hole, proof that could send us to prison.
Gia: She's not going to be able to resist using it.
Nikolas: That's not her intentions. She wants my gratitude. She is reminding me that my happiness is in her hands. If she wanted revenge, she could've sent the tape to the police. But sending it to me was her way of telling me it's over and it's going to stay that way, that's all.
Gia: Well, is it possible? Could this long nightmare really be over?
Nikolas: I hope so, you know? I do. Hey.
Sharifa: Hi. What are you two lovebirds watching?
Courtney: A.J., stop.
A.J.: Hey, hey -- I'm --
Courtney: Hey, Michael, I bet you didn't know that I'm your aunt.
Michael: My aunt?
Courtney: Yeah. I'm your Uncle Sonny's sister.
Leticia: Come on, Michael. Let's leave these nice people alone.
A.J.: Why'd you do that?
Courtney: You have to ask?
A.J.: I was just about to tell Michael --
Courtney: Yeah, and I stopped you because I -- I can't believe that you'd be so insensitive.
A.J.: I thought you were on my side, Courtney.
Courtney: Hey, A.J., Michael doesn't know you. What did you think, that you were going to tell him you're his father and he's going to rush into your arms and call you Daddy?
A.J.: Oh, come on. I'm not expecting miracles.
Courtney: Hey, you said that you thought that now was the right time? Come on, get real. It couldn't be any worse of a time. Think about it. If Michael’s mother is really gone, he's going to need security, to be surrounded by the people he knows and loves. Come on, Michael’s life needs to stay as much the same as possible. Kids needs that -- you know, to be home, to feel safe and protected. You know, if you go in now, all you're going to do is cause confusion and misery.
A.J.: That's the last thing I want to do.
Courtney: A.J., if Michael’s mother turns up dead, his whole world is going to fall apart. Just -- I don't know, wait a little while. Wait till he can absorb the loss and realize that his life will continue.
A.J.: You're right. You're right, you know? Michael -- Michael is what's important and, you know, he -- he's happiest when he's with his grandmother right now.
Courtney: And Sonny. It's obvious that he adores my brother.
A.J.: Must you add salt to my wound?
Courtney: A.J., Michael's face -- it lit up every time I mentioned Uncle Sonny.
Courtney: Sonny is the only father that Michael’s ever known. I know that's hard for you to deal with, but you have to respect that.
A.J.: Respect the man who stole my son?
Courtney: No -- respect that Michael loves him and needs him.
Courtney: Okay? So next time, count to 10 or something.
A.J.: Yeah. You see, the problem is I'm not objective, you know? Look, it is physically painful for me to stand in front of my son, my only child, and realize he has no clue who I am. You have any idea how long it's been since I've even held him?
Courtney: I understand. But if Carly’s gone, Michael’s feelings for Sonny are all he has. Come on, A.J., I've been there. When my mom told me that my father was dead, my whole world collapsed.
A.J.: Must've been tough on you.
Courtney: If you want to do what's right for Michael, then just give it some time, okay, just for a little while.
A.J.: You are amazing.
Bobbie: A.J.! Have you two no shame?
Jax: You can't I.D. her, Sonny. Just let the medical technicians deal with this.
Sonny: Let me see her.
Attendant: Yes, Mr. Corinthos.
Nikolas: Actually, we were just looking at a new security camera demo.
Sharifa: Security camera?
Gia: Nikolas wants to have better surveillance on the island. There have been a few break-ins over the years.
Nikolas: I was thinking of having a closed-circuit system set up on the estate and this -- they sent me this wonderful demo, so --
Sharifa: Yeah, well, that doesn't sound like fun.
Nikolas: Actually, it's pretty boring, yeah.
Sharifa: And here I was hoping you guys were covering up some kind of secret life.
Gia: That sounds exciting. Sorry to disappoint you.
Mrs. Lansbury: You just received an overnight package from Europe. It's marked "urgent." And this envelope was delivered for you. Mr. Herbert called from Deception and said that he was sending them over. I believe they're photo proofs.
Nikolas: Thank you, Mrs. Lansbury. You know what? Could you do me a favor and call an overnight courier. I need to sign these and send these off as soon as possible. Thank you.
Gia: Oh. Why does Elton send me these? I mean, they don't even ask for my opinion anyways. God, I hate what Lucky did with these shots.
Sharifa: Oh, I'm sure they're not as bad as you think.
Gia: No, trust me, they are.
Nikolas: Thank you very much. And, you -- stop being so hard on yourself. You're still as beautiful as the day I met you. Isn't she?
Sharifa: Well, if you say so. She won't let me see the pictures.
Nikolas: Well, you're about to. They'll be on billboards from coast to coast.
Gia: Great, yeah. Thanks for reminding me. I'm going to go get dressed. No offense, Mr. Equestrian, but you really need a shower.
Nikolas: I will as soon as I speak to this security guy. See you.
Gia: We got to burn that tape.
Nikolas: Right this minute. Let's go.
Bobbie: Leticia, Michael, why don't you go back to the brownstone, and I'll be there in a few minutes.
Courtney: This isn't what you think.
Bobbie: Don't insult my intelligence.
Courtney: No, honestly, we were just out walking my new puppy and we ran into Michael.
Bobbie: A.J. already tried to get his hands on Michael once. He had the gall to barge into my home the other day uninvited. He had already been slapped with a restraining order, but that didn't seem to make any difference, and now here you are once again going for an end run around me. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. But congratulations, A.J., because once again, you have managed to prove that you are incapable of putting Michael’s needs first.
Courtney: We didn't mean to cause any trouble.
A.J.: Courtney -- you know what? I don't give a damn what you think about me, but my wife is a good person. She would never cause Michael any distress. Now, when she was talking to Michael, all she was doing --
Bobbie: Why were you talking to Michael?
Courtney: No, he came up to me to pet my puppy.
Bobbie: You two are not supposed to be talking to Michael. Do you understand that? And if I catch you with him again, I'm calling the police.
Courtney: We were not trying to take advantage of your daughter's accident.
Bobbie: I don't believe you. And I have news for both of you -- the body they found -- it's not Carly’s.
Courtney: What body?
Attendant: You ready?
Man: Hey, how you doing? I'm Chet. You know, I've been a volunteer here at General Hospital for 10 years now. You see some pretty remarkable things in this place. Just this morning, I had this long visit with this guy. He's about my age, he's terminal -- only got about six weeks to live. But his attitude -- I mean, he's telling me jokes. You know, it really makes you pause. I used to be a very selfish guy, thought only of myself. But now I see these people with more courage than I ever had.
Sharifa: Hey. I think I have something.
Taggert: You think?
Sharifa: You may not thank me when you see what's on it.
Gia: I'll help you get away, no matter what the cost.
Helena: Well, I'm so grateful.
Sarah: Could you please stop telling me I'm beautiful?
Lucky: It's true.
Sarah: Things could happen, Lucky. Things could happen that we'd both regret later.
Lucky: Right. I don't want to do anything to hurt Elizabeth.
Sarah: So we'll stay away from each other.
Lucky: Yeah, but it's just not working.
Sarah: We'll make it work, okay? Look, the next time I have something to tell you, I'll call you. Better yet, I'll send an e-mail.
Lucky: Send whatever you want. I mean, it's not going to fix anything. I mean, we've told each other about a dozen times that we'd stay away from each other, but what keeps happening, right? We keep winding up in the same place at the same time. You know, maybe, just maybe, when we're shoved into certain events, there's a reason. And look at it right now -- you came here to tell me about Carly.
Sarah: And Maxie screwed up the lock.
Lucky: What if it's fate, Sarah? What if you and I are meant to be?
Bobbie: Don't try to pretend you hadn't heard.
Courtney: Heard what?
Bobbie: Jax's divers found a body they think is Carly.
Courtney: I'm so sorry.
A.J.: Me, too.
Bobbie: Stay away from Michael, A.J., or I swear I'll have you arrested.
Courtney: Oh, my God. Carly's really gone.
A.J.: I know.
Courtney: Oh. Your little boy lost his mother.
Jax: May you find peace.
Chet: You know what they say -- truth is stranger than fiction. So now, whenever people talk, I pay attention. I mean, I listen because there are no greater teachers on earth than other human beings. Well, you take care now.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Sheriff: What are you going to do about it?
Nikolas: They found a body, Zander.
Kristina: A body that they pulled out from the lake. Oh, you didn't know.
Alexis: Oh, my God.
Bobbie: She's not dead. She's coming back, Luke. I know it. I feel it.
