Nikolas: But you are my brother.
Lucky: Begging for forgiveness without even admitting anything? Stavros taught you well.
Luke: Baldwin is just going to use you to try to forget Laura.
Sarah: You and I will just get along a lot better if I’m out of the way.
Jax: Come here. Let's go find your brother.
Luke: Good evening.
Nikolas: Hey, Luke.
Nikolas: It's great for you to pull this together. If you haven't already, please break out the best you have -- on me.
Luke: I can't do that. See, the joint's closed tonight. It's a private party.
Nikolas: For everyone who fought against Helena. That includes Gia and me. So we can all join in a toast to the end of our families' war.
Luke: I'd like to do that, but I'm not real sure the war's over. This feels like a brand-new phase.
Scott: Bobbie, Bobbie, you know, Luke’s never seen a good mood that he just can't screw up.
Bobbie: Luke didn't spoil my mood.
Scott: What are you talking about? You were feeling great when I picked you up. When we got to the club, you were feeling great. Then you go over and you talk to him, and then all of a sudden, you know, you don't want to dance, you don't want to drink, you don't want to eat -- you don't want to go for a midnight skinny-dip.
Bobbie: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Excuse me? Whoa. Midnight skinny-dipping?
Scott: I just made that up to make sure you were listening.
Bobbie: Well, I was listening, and you know what you're doing? You're blaming Luke, and this is about you, babe.
Scott: What are you talking about? What did I do?
Bobbie: How do I know you're really interested in me and not just on the rebound from Laura?
Scott: Oh. Is that what Luke said? You believed him?
Bobbie: No more so than I believed Laura when she said you and I could actually have a shot.
Scott: What, are you talking to everybody? You got a bookie, you taking odds? How am I doing?
Bobbie: I don't know, Scott. I don't know. You know, I'm not really sure of much of anything right now. All I know is that I have made a lot of mistakes in the past and you have, too, and I would really like to avoid another one. So how do I know? How do I know you're really interested in me and you're not just trying to fill in the emptiness that was left by Laura?
Scott: What do you want me to do? You want me to take a polygraph test? You want to sign a little written affidavit? You want me to take you to Abaco?
Bobbie: How about a simple reality check?
Scott: Well, something you have in mind?
Scott: Okay, well, name it.
Bobbie: Kiss me.
Skye: Oh, I am most impressed, Mr. Jacks.
Jax: Well, likewise. Seems to me those self-defense lessons are paying off.
Skye: Look, we've got to get to my brother.
Jax: Five minutes, we'll be there.
Skye: I hope we make it in time.
Courtney: He's my husband! Did you hear me? We're married!
Alexis: Sonny, calm down and let him go!
Courtney: Sonny, he didn't hurt me. You'd be killing my husband!
A.J.: You kill me, you make your sister a widow. Is that what you want? Do you?
A.J.: Look, I know you hate me, okay, but you love Courtney. I love her, too. I've proven it, haven't I, the only way a man can. All I want is for her to be happy. Isn't that what you want? Look, you thought that I'd break her heart. I didn't, Sonny. I married her. What more can I do, man?
Courtney: Sonny, please, everything he says is true. A.J. has made me happier than I have ever been in my entire life. Don't make me hate you. Don't hurt me by hurting my husband! Is that what you want? Don't do this, Sonny. Please, you're my brother, don't do this. Oh, God.
Skye: Hey, you stay away from my brother. Don't you touch him. What did he do to you? You all right?
A.J.: Are you okay?
Courtney: Are you?
A.J.: Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Oh. We're married, okay? Courtney is my wife.
A.J.: It's okay.
Skye: A.J., I need to speak with you.
A.J.: Skye, whatever you have to say, just say it, okay? I'm not going to hide anything from my wife.
Skye: I really doubt that you want your wife hearing what I have to say. I need to speak with you alone.
Scott: See, the thing about reality checks is they've got to be repeated several times, you know, to make sure that the data is accurate. One study says that it should be repeated immediately.
Bobbie: You know what -- it's okay because I got the data I needed and we need to get back to Luke's party.
Scott: Wait a second, wait a second. Are you crazy? The night just took a dramatic upturn. Why do we want to go back to that club?
Bobbie: Because I need to get back there, with or without you, so I'm going.
Scott: Wait, wait. Come on, Bobbie, you can't just kiss a guy into submission here. That's not fair. Besides, Luke's club -- you know, nothing good ever happens there.
Lucky: What are you doing here?
Nikolas: Ordering champagne for everyone. Will you join me in a toast?
Lucky: You think it's that easy? Stroll on in here, rack up a tab, suddenly everybody forgets how you helped Helena escape in the first place? This is a private party. You don't belong here.
Nikolas: I do belong. As much as you. You're celebrating Helena’s incarceration. So am I. You fought to put her away. So did I. You're relieved that our mother and Elizabeth and everyone else is safe. So am I. You want to close the door to a terrible era of fighting, fear, pain. So do I.
Lucky: So we're just supposed to forget that when the going got tough, you went with Helena?
Nikolas: Is there no room to forgive in your family? You know, now that Helena’s gone, we can't let her win now that everyone is safe. Are -- are we enemies again?
Lucky: I don't want to be your enemy, Nikolas. But you're not my brother. And I sure as hell don't want somebody like you as my friend. I thought I knew you. Turned out I was wrong. So when you see me, don't say hello, because I don't want to know how you are or how you're doing, if you're in trouble or you're okay. And when you see our mother, you make arrangements in advance so she can tell me when to come around. Enemies? No. No, you're not my enemy. You're nothing to me.
Gia: All right, Lucky, look, you gave your speech and Nikolas gave his, but now it's time for you to hear what Nikolas didn't say. I live with Nikolas. I know what he feels inside. I know what keeps him awake at night and how much he cares for you and Elizabeth. Look, Nikolas has done everything in his power to protect you. Last year when Helena had you under her control, he risked his life to protect you. And he broke my heart, knowingly and purposefully, trying to save you. He sacrificed everything and everyone, Lucky -- not only Helena, but even his own father. Look, he could've chose Helena and Stavros. He didn't even have to help them. You know, he could've just stayed out of it and let them drop the world in his lap, but he chose to fight his own family, with all of us, for all of us. Is Nikolas perfect? No. Are you perfect? Is anyone in this room? Nikolas loves you. He loves you so much, Lucky. And whether you choose to admit it or not, I know you love him, too. Look, I have a brother and we don't always agree, but it doesn't change the deep-down love. Now, you can call Nikolas an enemy or a stranger or a nothing, but that love you feel for him inside of you will never go away. You can hide it or deny it, even spit on it, but that love is inside you. It's a part of you and you can't just get rid of it.
Lucky: You know, somehow, my brother opened doors and started making compromises. He's not my brother anymore. You see, I gave him a chance to come clean, but my brother -- my brother wasn't there.
Lucky: I want you out of here. Right now.
Gia: Elizabeth, please, you know what I said is true.
Elizabeth: Leave it alone, Gia. What Lucky said is the truth.
Nikolas: Thank you.
Taggert: I love you.
Gia: I love you, too.
Nikolas: You ready?
Nikolas: You guys enjoy the evening.
Alexis: This so-called marriage has a 0% chance of succeeding, and as soon as Courtney figures that out, I will be there to help her get out of it. She's young. She made a mistake. I understand that you're filled with rage, but you need to put this into perspective. It isn't the end of the world.
Sonny: Do you not understand that A.J. just opened the trap door to hell and by the time this is over somebody's going to be shoved in?
A.J.: Skye, I appreciate your effort -- I do -- but I've got the situation under control. I admit it, it was a tense moment with Sonny, but I knew marrying Courtney would keep me safe.
Skye: Hmm. Well, proud of yourself, huh? Well, enjoy your victory, A.J., starting now for about 60 seconds. Then you're going to find a way to break it to your wife that you're going to get this marriage annulled.
A.J.: Why would I do that? My strategy is finally paying off. Courtney adores me. She actually believes I'm her prince. Best part -- I've got Sonny eating right out of the palm of my hand.
Skye: Okay, look, you've made your point. You somehow managed to stick it to Sonny and come out of this surviving it all. But right now it is time to quit while you're ahead, A.J., and still alive.
Courtney: I want Sonny to see me in my dress. It's beautiful, don't you think?
Courtney: A.J. got it especially for me for our wedding. I want Sonny to see that A.J. loves me and that he gave me the perfect wedding. He was so angry. It was like he couldn't even hear me. I thought that he was going to throw A.J. off the terrace.
Jax: Your brother had reason to be concerned.
Courtney: A.J. didn’t do anything wrong. Sonny was the one who was out of control.
Jax: Look, I realize this is a lot to take in, but perhaps you might want to just stand back, you know, before you decide where you stand.
Courtney: I know where I stand -- with my husband.
Skye: Sonny swore to me that if you returned Courtney safe and sound, you could walk away without a scratch.
A.J.: Courtney's my wife.
Skye: You married her for revenge, A.J. Now, maybe -- maybe -- Sonny will still agree to this deal if you end this thing now.
A.J.: Things are just getting started. And I love having the great Sonny Corinthos right where I want him. And I've got a long way to go before I'm done.
Skye: No, you listen to me -- you are done right now or I'm telling Courtney the truth.
A.J.: Oh. I get it. Trying to score some brownie points with Mr. Golden Boy, huh?
Jax: Well, actually, your sister is trying to save your worthless hide.
Jax: It's not exactly my primary objective.
Skye: Jax is right. For some strange reason, I really want to see you come out of this alive. But I do not want to sit back and watch you destroy some clueless young girl who is in no way responsible for anything that her brother's done. I think that's fair, considering I don't want to be held accountable for anything you've been doing lately. So either you call this sham off right now or I walk in there and I tell Courtney everything I know.
A.J.: No, I am going to enjoy the rest of my honeymoon and you're going to keep your nose out of it.
Skye: Hell I will. It's Skye. I'm coming in.
A.J.: Here we go.
Courtney: A.J. got me these. I want Sonny to see the way that I looked when we were married so that he knows that he's wrong.
Skye: You make a lovely bride.
Courtney: Thank you. It's easy when you love someone like I love A.J.
Skye: I love A.J., too. My brother and I have become very close.
Courtney: Then be happy for us.
Skye: I'm sorry. I am really sorry, but A.J. doesn’t love you. I knew he was planning something, but I didn't think he'd take it this far. A.J. is pretending to be in love with you, Courtney. The whole thing is a sham.
Luke: Oh, hell. Hey, this is a party, not a funeral. The drinks are still on the house. Circulate, have a good time. Somebody give us some music.
Roy: It's my fault, man. I should've intercepted Nikolas at the door and suggested that he and Gia save those speeches for a less festive occasion.
Luke: Nah, nah, nah, we're going to let them work it out. We can't do it for them. Lucky's not a kid. If he's going to walk away from his brother, he's just going to have to make that choice. We can't -- can't micromanage his life.
Roy: How's Laura doing with it, man? I mean, it's got to be hard for her, you know, seeing her two sons at each other's throats like that.
Luke: Yeah, she's been through worse. The thing is they are men, and they'll either work it out or they won’t.
Elizabeth: Sarah. I've looked for Lucky everywhere. I can't find him. I think he's gone.
Sarah: No, but I'm sure he just took a walk to cool off or something.
Elizabeth: No, no, I have a really bad feeling about this. I need your help and I need it now.
Skye: My brother hates Sonny for very good reasons, and frankly so do I. And I would like nothing better than to see Sonny pay for all the terrible things that he's done, Courtney, but I refuse to sit back and watch A.J. use you. A.J.'s not interested in you. He's only getting back at your brother. Believe me, I wish I could be standing here telling you he loves you. I know how devastating it must be to hear this, really I do --
Courtney: It's not devastating, except for maybe my husband. A.J. loves and trusts you more than anyone in his whole family, and he says that you feel the same way about him.
Skye: Of course I do. That's why --
Courtney: Wait, you know what -- he warned me that you would probably react like this. Because you keep thinking that he's just like you. You're a schemer, so you think that everyone else is. Well, you know what -- A.J. doesn’t think like that. He has this wonderful heart that no one else seems to be able to see.
Ned: Well, nice to see A.J.'s alive. Courtney, I don't know if you remember me. I'm A.J.'s cousin.
Courtney: Great. Another Quartermaine. Look, A.J., just what we need -- another member of your big, happy family to tell me how wrong I was to marry you. You know, I've already been told that my marriage is part of a scam and how A.J. is using me to get revenge on my brother.
Courtney: I can see you're not exactly thrilled. At least your manners are better than my brother’s. Sonny tried to throw A.J. off the terrace. And then Skye and Jax barge in. Her idea of congratulating us was telling me that A.J.'s a creep and I'm a total fool. So I guess you came here to pick up where she left off, right?
Ned: You know, the Quartermaines aren't really a touchy-feely group, but for what it's worth, welcome to the family.
Sonny: I remember when my mom married Deke. He wore his uniform from the police department. White gloves, badge, everything. He smiled through the whole ceremony. So did my mother. I was happy. What did I know? Sun was shining, I was ring bearer, and finally somebody to take care of my mother. She had this light in her face, her smile was beautiful, you know, and Deke just slapped that right off her. Not overnight. You know, he kept up the act for a while. A week, a month. Maybe two. And he started to growl. This voice came out -- you know, came out of him that we never knew he had. He'd get this -- this look on his face and he'd rake us over with a couple words, you know. And then if you blinked, it was, you know, back to normal, like you'd think, was that just my imagination? Pretty soon the dark face was the only one he had. The other one was a mask he was wearing, and it slipped and it slipped until it slipped off.
Alexis: You know, A.J. has a lot of flaws, but there's no indication that he's ever been physically abusive.
Sonny: Yeah, but, you know, there are many ways to abuse someone. I mean, you know, A.J. can kill Courtney’s smile little by little. He can destroy who she is, her hope, her self-respect. She can lose little by little every day. I saw -- I saw it happen to my mother. Deke would do it to my mother. You want to destroy a woman, you marry her first. You chain those vows around her heart, you lock her up with "better or for worse." And then you can make her life a living hell.
Sonny: By marrying Courtney, A.J. convinced her that he loves her. She does not get that he's wearing a mask, and she's not going to until that mask starts to slip -- and it will. You and I both know he is not in love with Courtney, Alexis, he is in hate with me.
Alexis: She'll end it. I promise you Courtney will end it.
Sonny: After she's lost how much? And I'm supposed to stand by and wait for that to happen, just watch and see what he does to her? How come I can't just end it first?
Luke: Did you ever throw a party that got sick, crawled away to die?
Roy: They just sensed you were right about it being too soon to celebrate it, man. There's not enough distance yet between us and Helena’s damage.
Luke: Maybe there never will be.
Roy: You do get it, right, Luke, that she never wanted to win?
Luke: I don't get that at all. What are you talking about?
Roy: She would've had to kill you to do it. It would've broken her heart. As near as I can tell, you were the most fun Helena Cassadine ever had.
Luke: Yeah, well, she's twisted.
Roy: I mean, you think about it, man. You killed her husband, you killed her son --
Roy: You stole her diamonds and millions of Cassadine money, you screwed up all her evil schemes before she could pull them off --
Luke: Well, not all of them.
Roy: And meanwhile, she had access to billions of dollars. At any given point in time, she could've hired a team of assassins to wipe you off the face of the earth.
Luke: Well, yeah, but then the game would've been over.
Roy: My point exactly. She couldn't do without the fun, man. Two things Helena Cassadine loved on this earth -- Nikolas and having a good time. I think that's why she never killed Laura.
Luke: What do you mean?
Roy: Well, if Laura had died, it wouldn't have been a game to you anymore and then she would've had to kill you to survive. That's why she always gave the both of you an out, you know, some chance to walk away and play again. Till this -- this last, when she finally skated too close to the edge and fell off, man. It's done.
Luke: Or it isn’t.
Roy: No, no, I did time in Pentonville, Luke. A woman like that in there? It's done.
Luke: I hope you're right. Barbara.
Luke: And companion. You're just in time.
Bobbie: To help you close up the place, obviously. What happened to the party?
Luke: Well, after you left, everybody said, "what's the point?" It just fizzled. Everybody split.
Bobbie: Was there a fight?
Luke: I don't see any blood on the floor. No, just -- so you want a drink or something?
Bobbie: No, thanks.
Luke: Well, then let's just move on to the entertainment portion of the evening, shall we?
Scott: Is there some kind of a floorshow, Spencer?
Luke: Close. You'll like it. It involves a naked woman.
Sarah: Are you completely self-centered or just clueless? Elizabeth's worried out of her mind. She asked me to come help look for you. She's taking the bars on the west coast, I got the east.
Bartender: Something to drink?
Sarah: Coffee, decaf. Elizabeth had a feeling you might go off on a tear.
Lucky: I'm having a beer. That's a tear in your book?
Sarah: It can turn into one once someone's as upset as you are, Lucky. Instead of discussing what's going on in his head with friends, he takes his problems to a bar and starts ordering drinks. And especially when that person's driving. You should know better by now, Lucky. This whole thing started when Gia --
Lucky: Leave me alone now?
Sarah: I don't think so.
Gia: I love you so much.
Nikolas: Thank you. For everything you said, thank you.
Gia: Well, it was all true. You're an incredible person. But we don't deserve to be treated like this. Let's get out of here.
Nikolas: No, it's not going to solve anything. You know, it's going to be the same thing when we get back.
Gia: No, I mean let's leave Port Charles. You saw the way everyone acted tonight. Why stick around and be treated that way? Nikolas, there's nothing here for us anymore. Let's move to Manhattan or Paris or London -- anywhere but here.
Nikolas: Gia, no, no. No.
Alexis: Courtney apparently wants this marriage, so how do you plan to end it, Sonny? She's a grown woman, and she evidently doesn't like it when you try to boss her around. So if she realizes that A.J. is a jerk, I'm sure that she will --
Alexis: When she realizes that A.J. is a jerk, she will leave him. So there's really no need for you to intercede. In fact, I think it would be a mistake.
Sonny: Thanks. I need some time just alone to think, you know, think about what I got to do.
A.J.: Thanks for the endorsement, okay? I appreciate you welcoming Courtney to the family.
Ned: Junior, you have reached a new all-time low. But between you and Sonny, I'll always choose the family.
A.J.: Wise choice, especially since I've got Sonny right where I want him. Stick around. Wait till you see my next move.
Luke: What's wrong with just saying, "Get out of Port Charles, get out of my life, get out of my family's life"? What's wrong with that?
Roy: There's nothing wrong with it, man. It's your exorcism. You can pretty much do anything you want.
Luke: Well, I think burning the queen of the damned in effigy, or at least her portrait, is a damn good place to start.
Scott: Yeah. Yeah, well, just make sure you also get her out of Bobbie’s house and Lucas' room and --
Bobbie: Yeah, and the hospital. Don't forget the hospital.
Luke: Okay, well, everybody, grab a little piece of her heart now, babies. So? What now? How do we do this?
Bobbie: Now we just -- I think we should just get rid of her.
Luke: Go ahead. How do you do it?
Bobbie: You are in our hands, Helena Cassadine, and we have power over you, as we have power over these slices of canvas and oil. We can order you to leave this place and you must leave. Your spirit of darkness has no resting place here. If you try to violate the Spencer family again, we call upon the flames to violate you first. Go from here today.
Luke: Go from here.
Scott: Hey -- hey, where'd you get dialogue like that?
Bobbie: Remember that TV show "Dark Shadows"?
Scott: Oh, right, right -- Barnabas.
Luke: Go from here, Helena. Go and don't come back.
Nikolas: No, we're not going anywhere, Gia, except to the hospital for Audrey’s 10,000-day celebration.
Gia: What? You can't be serious. Laura could be there. For all you know, Luke is probably there, too.
Nikolas: Then I will walk in there, I will smile, and make conversation. The one thing I will not do is run. Okay? If Lucky -- if Lucky wants to turn his back on me, he's going to have to do it to my face.
Gia: Well, if you insist on being that fearless, then I guess I can be fearless on your behalf. I have to go somewhere, so I will meet you at the hospital, okay?
Nikolas: Wherever you're going, I'll go with you, you know, please?
Gia: I have to do this alone.
Nikolas: Forget it. I won't allow you to roam the streets at night by yourself.
Gia: I won't be roaming the streets, and you don't allow me to do anything, okay? I will meet you in the courtyard at the hospital.
Nikolas: No, okay, listen, just meet me back here. I don't have anywhere else to go, and then we'll go to Audrey’s from here, okay?
Gia: Okay. Look, I will be back in one hour if I'm successful and, well, less time if I'm not, okay?
Nikolas: Will you at least tell me where you're going?
Gia: Will you back off, Prince Nikolas?
Nikolas: Be careful.
Lucky: I've been taking care of myself for a long time, Sarah. I don't need you telling me how.
Sarah: This is the second time tonight you've taken your problems out on me, Lucky. And I understand that you have plenty of reasons to be upset, but none of them are my fault. And whether you want to hear it or not, drinking's not going to solve anything.
Lucky: You don't have a clue. You don't have a clue. While you were away, while you were at med school dissecting cadavers, Helena Cassadine was dissecting my life. You don't know what it's like to lose the things that you value most in this world!
Sarah: Yes, I do, Lucky. Everything you're feeling right now I have felt, too.
Lucky: Sarah, I -- I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you. I was just -- I can't stand the way that I feel. I'm just -- I want --
Sarah: What do you want, Lucky?
A.J.: I'm very sorry that our honeymoon took a very unromantic turn.
Courtney: It's not your fault. This was my brother's doing.
A.J.: Sonny's my brother-in-law now. I should try and make peace.
Courtney: We're family now, so I would like to get along. But there's something that you need to know about me. The people I love I'm loyal to. So if you go after someone I love, you go after me. I've fallen in love with A.J. He's a wonderful man and you are lucky to have him as a brother. I can forgive the terrible things that you said, but we'll have a problem if you say them again.
A.J.: Bad night, huh? I can relate. I've had plenty. But I can -- I can change things. Want to hear my proposal? You want your sister back, don't you? I'll go in there right now and end the marriage -- in exchange for my son. It's a simple trade, Sonny -- your sister for my son.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Nikolas: Hear me out, please?
Monica: You will have your son's death on your shoulders.
A.J.: I will annul the marriage. Come on, man, I'll go in there right now. But the price tag is Michael. You return my son to me.
