General Hospital Transcript Thursday 3/7/02
>> Previously on "General Hospital" --
Carly: You'll still come to the opening?
Jax: You broke something between us, Skye. Can't you get that? Have a nice life.
Courtney: When I told A.J. that I didn't run that red light, he believed me! He believed me when nobody else did and especially you!
Nikolas: Sonny, look, I appreciate your concern, you know, but now's -- it's not the best time.
Sonny: Oh, Elizabeth isn't here?
Nikolas: No, she's here. We just brought her back from the hospital, and the doctor said that she needs a lot of rest, you know?
Sonny: I'll just ask her a couple of questions and I'll leave.
Nikolas: I just -- I don't think that she's going to be ready to discuss the accident. You know, both Gia and Elizabeth are dealing with the trauma.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah. Courtney's having a tough time, too.
Nikolas: So you should -- you should understand that now is -- they probably -- they shouldn't be discussing it, you know? It might bring back memories.
Sarah: Okay, that secret tunnel didn't scare me a bit.
Gia: Oh, we imagined the cries for help?
Sonny: Yeah. Sounds like --
Sonny: They're recovering pretty well.
Nikolas: Yeah, they might be unwinding just a bit.
Nikolas: You know, I don't want to put Elizabeth under any stress. It's all in the accident reports. If you don't have any access to them, I'd be more than willing to show them to you.
Sonny: No, I have access. I just wanted to make sure she was all right. You know what I'm saying?
Nikolas: Well, she will be. No need to be worried -- she will be.
Sonny: Can I see for myself?
Gia: You know, Elizabeth gets really anxious when someone mentions the crash, and I'm sure that a visit from Courtney's brother is bound to trigger all sorts of bad stuff for her.
Sonny: Well, I'm more than her brother. Elizabeth and I, we're friends.
Gia: Well, then, I'm sure you can respect the fact that a positive attitude is crucial for her recovery.
Sonny: Well, I'm sure Elizabeth can speak for herself. I mean, why don't we just ask her, see what she wants to do. You know what I mean?
Nikolas: All right, okay. I'll tell you what -- I'll give you one minute, all right?
Sonny: Oh, great, great. You're the best.
Elizabeth: You think?
Elizabeth: Sonny. It's so good to see you.
Sonny: How you doing?
Carly: Sonny? Oh, Sonny? Alexis. Fancy meeting you here.
Alexis: Sonny's not in.
Carly: I see.
Alexis: I'll tell him that you stopped by, though.
Carly: Oh, thanks. But you know what? I'd prefer to deliver the message myself.
Carly: You don't have to keep me company.
Alexis: Well, that's not what I'm doing.
Carly: Okay, you know what? I'll tell you what -- I will let Sonny know that you called and you stopped by and then he can call you and -- as soon as we're finished.
Alexis: That is very thoughtful of you, but I need to wait for him.
Carly: Suit yourself.
Alexis: I will.
Carly: So will I.
Alexis: You always do.
Courtney: You again.
Jax: Well, good evening to you, too.
Courtney: So, what is it with you? I mean, every time I turn around, you're in my face.
Jax: I am?
Courtney: Yeah. I mean, first you break into A.J.'s hotel suite and then you go and tell my brother where you saw me? I mean, don't you have anything better to do than to cause trouble for A.J. and me?
A.J.: All right, look, what -- am I supposed to be intimidated?
Max: Any idea what he's talking about?
Johnny: Beats me.
A.J.: All right, come on. You guys flattened all my tires, okay?
Max: Now, why would we do a thing like that?
A.J.: What is this? Huh? Some sort of scare tactic?
Johnny: You got us all wrong, Mr. Quartermaine.
A.J.: Why don't you just run back to Sonny? Tell him I got the message, all right? No harm, no foul.
Max: Sir, you obviously have a problem. But being the decent guys that we are, we'd like to help you solve it.
A.J.: I don't need your help.
Max: No, we insist.
A.J.: Yeah, well --
Man: Mr. Quartermaine, I'm glad I ran into you.
A.J.: What now?
Man: It's about your bodyguards. I -- I'm sorry.
Man: Administrative assistants. The poor guys are stuck between floors in the service elevator.
Man: Probably take hours to get them out.
Max: This just really isn't your night.
Carly: So, is this the latest in attorney/client privileges?
Alexis: I'm sorry -- what?
Carly: You stay in your client's apartment, ready when needed -- like live-in help, like a maid or a butler, but higher-priced, of course.
Alexis: I'm sitting here because I have work that I'm doing with Sonny.
Carly: Oh. Could you be more specific?
Alexis: No, Carly, I can't.
Carly: Hmm. Of course not.
Alexis: I'm waiting for him to come back.
Carly: And then when exactly is that going to be?
Alexis: I can't say.
Carly: I need to know where Sonny is, Alexis.
Alexis: No, really. I -- I can't say.
Carly: No, you won't. So I will find Sonny myself.
Alexis: Carly, for heaven's sakes, would you just give him a break for one minute?
Elizabeth: Sonny, do you remember my sister, Sarah?
Sonny: No, no --
Sarah: Mr. Corinthos.
Sonny: We never met. Hi. Hi.
Sarah: Nice to meet you.
Sonny: Can you call me Sonny?
Elizabeth: She's working at General Hospital now.
Sonny: Oh, yeah?
Sonny: She taking good care of you?
Sarah: I'm trying. My sister can be a pretty uncooperative patient.
Sonny: Yeah, well, we have that in common. I could hardly wait to get out of the hospital the last time I was hurt. You make sure the doctor -- you know, you do everything the doctor tells you so you -- makes you feel better, all right?
Elizabeth: Yes, Sir.
Sonny: And if you need a warmer climate to help you recuperate, you got your suite at my casino any time you want it.
Sarah: Excuse me -- your suite?
Elizabeth: Oh, yeah, you should have seen it. It's a bedroom, sitting room, hot tub on the terrace which led straight to the beach, white sands, bluest waters you've ever seen.
Sonny: Just say the word.
Elizabeth: Oh, not right now. I'm not quite ready for the beach, but maybe in a couple of months.
Sonny: And if you need physical therapy, whatever, you know, I'll -- I'll pay for it.
Elizabeth: Thank you, but, you know, my sister and my grandmother already have my entire therapy schedule worked out. And Lucky and Nikolas are waiting on me around the clock.
Sonny: Well, sounds like you're being well taken care of, then.
Elizabeth: I am.
Sonny: All right.
Elizabeth: And I'm going to be just fine, so please don't feel like you have to do anything. The best thing for all of us is just to put this accident out of our minds.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah. It's hard for Courtney to forget, you know.
Elizabeth: How is she doing? They told me she wasn't hurt.
Sonny: Not physically, but, you know, she just -- she can't put the accident behind her, you know? She's -- it's hard for her to let go.
Elizabeth: Yeah, I understand. Hey, do me a favor?
Sonny: Yeah, anything.
Elizabeth: Will you tell your sister that I don't blame her?
Sonny: Yeah, I appreciate that.
Elizabeth: Hmm. People miss red lights all the time, right? It's just her bad luck that we were heading the other way.
Sonny: More like your bad luck.
Nikolas: Well, it's over, and thankfully, Elizabeth will recover. Sonny, I haven't offered you anything to drink. Coffee? We have a full bar, anything you want.
Lucky: If you're up for it, a little game of one-on-one basketball?
Sonny: Yeah. No, I'll pass on that. All right. Um -- I'll -- I'll check in with you tomorrow.
Elizabeth: Thanks for stopping by.
Sonny: All right.
Gia: I can't believe you invited Sonny Corinthos to play basketball.
Lucky: What? Where is it written that mobsters can't play a little basketball? Come on.
Sarah: I thought you'd scream so loud. No, no.
Elizabeth: She told me she doesn't have fun anymore.
Courtney: Why do you keep butting into my life, huh? Don't you have one of your own?
Jax: You know, it's funny you should ask because I was just pondering that very same question.
Courtney: Don't get all weird on me.
Jax: Wouldn't dream of it.
Courtney: You know, you don't seem like the tortured soul type.
Jax: I'm not. I'm just feeling a little introspective. You know, that's why I'm sitting here in the dark on someone else's pier, pondering the meaning of life, love, and the pursuit for happiness.
Courtney: You're dodging.
Jax: How so?
Courtney: Well, how did you know that I was -- that I'd be here?
Jax: I didn't. I -- you know, I actually wanted to be by myself.
Courtney: Yeah, right.
Jax: You don't believe me?
Courtney: Look, you have obviously chosen me as some kind of personal project or something.
Jax: Courtney, believe me, I'm still recovering from my last personal project, so I don't think I'll be ready for another one any time soon.
Courtney: Yeah, well, you could've fooled me.
Jax: You know, you are a charming young woman when you're not insulting me or assaulting me with a laptop computer. But believe me, you were the last thing on my mind.
Skye: What's going on?
A.J.: Nothing to worry about.
Max: Yeah, your brother's having tire problems.
Skye: Oh, my God.
A.J.: Boy, they're conducting a little exercise in intimidation.
Skye: Well, it's working.
A.J.: Could I get a ride with you?
Man: There's a green sports car parked at the end of Aisle B.
Skye: What have you done to my car?
Man: Nothing. But it's being blocked by two stalled S.U.V.s.
Max: Well, don't worry. We'll fix you up in no time.
Elizabeth: Sure was nice of Sonny to come by.
Gia: Somehow, "nice" isn't a word that comes to mind when I think of Sonny Corinthos.
Elizabeth: Oh, well, he has always been wonderful to me.
Sarah: I guess so if that suite you stayed in was any indication.
Elizabeth: Oh, he has done a lot more for me than that.
Gia: He's loyal to his inner circle and dangerous to everyone else. I don't know -- the guy just gives me the creeps.
Lucky: I'm with Elizabeth. I mean, you know, Sonny's an okay guy -- unless, of course, you cross him. Then it's --
Elizabeth: Hey, you're supposed to be on my side.
Lucky: I am on your side.
Elizabeth: Yeah, yeah, whatever.
Lucky: You look like you're fading.
Elizabeth: I am getting tired.
Sarah: Yeah, it's been a pretty long day. We should get you upstairs to bed.
Nikolas: No, no, no. You're not supposed to walk too far.
Elizabeth: Oh, please don't tell me you got me a wheelchair.
Nikolas: No, I prefer to carry you.
Elizabeth: Oh, Nikolas --
Nikolas: You're small enough. Come on. Here we go.
Lucky: Good. It's your turn, anyway.
Elizabeth: Oh, thanks.
Sarah: I'll come check in on you a little later.
Elizabeth: You guys, I am not a baby, even though I'm being carried like one.
Lucky: Good night.
Sarah: Good night, Lizzie.
Gia: Oh, she forgot her stuff. Will you hand me that box.
Sarah: Is it me or are Nikolas and Gia a little too eager to take care of Elizabeth?
Courtney: So you came here to be alone?
Jax: That's right.
Courtney: Then why did you follow me?
Jax: Is that what you think I did?
Courtney: Come on. Both of us showing up at a dock on the Quartermaine estate -- I'd say that's way coincidental.
Jax: Well, I came to deliver stock certificates to one of the few honest members of the Quartermaine family. Why are you here?
Jax: Oh, I don't think it'd be anyone that you know.
Courtney: Why did you tell Sonny that I was staying at A.J.'s?
Jax: Because I don't like A.J.
Courtney: You hate my brother.
Jax: That's right.
Courtney: Okay, then why tell him anything? You barely know me -- what's it to you?
Jax: Because I have a brother, too. And I don't always agree with the things that he does, but I care about him. He was on his way to prison, and your brother helped him leave the country. That left me with a debt of honor.
Courtney: You couldn't have figured out some other way to repay it?
Jax: You're important to Sonny. So I figured, you know, a brother for a sister. It seemed kind of fair.
Courtney: So, you basically messed up my life to make yourself feel better?
Jax: No, no, there were other factors.
Jax: A.J.'s despicable.
Courtney: Okay, you know what? I am not in the mood for a lecture.
Jax: No, it's merely an opinion.
Courtney: Fine. Fine, your debt to my brother is paid. And I happen to be meeting someone, so if you wouldn't mind leaving --
Jax: You know, I was -- I was just on my way.
Courtney: And if you can manage one little favor -- forget you ever saw me.
Jax: If that's what you want. But you know, don't blame me when one night in the future you find yourself looking up at the moon and wondering why you were fool enough to let a lying manipulator into your life.
Max: Are you done yet, ma'am? Are you done? I have some throat lozenges.
A.J.: She's obviously hysterical. I got to get her out of here!
Man: I hate to disappoint you, but I think you're stuck here for a while.
Max: I mean, the security in this garage is terrible, isn't it?
Johnny: She screamed for five minutes and there isn't a guard in sight.
Man: Good thing you're not in danger because you'd be goners for sure.
Second man: I wonder why no one's driven in to park their car.
First man: There is never any traffic out here this time of night.
Max: Yeah, good point. Hours could pass before anyone showed.
A.J.: Hey, it's okay.
Skye: Where's your phone?
A.J.: Side pocket.
A.J.: It's all right.
Carly: Who do you think you are?
Alexis: I don't know, Carly. I -- it's just Sonny has pressing issues that he's dealing with right now.
Carly: Don't we all.
Alexis: And for some reason, you feel a need to come over here every other day and inform Sonny of them.
Carly: Okay, I happen to share a child with him, remember? So it means that I'm in daily contact with him whether you like it or not.
Alexis: I understand. So -- so is this about Michael?
Carly: Yes, it is.
Alexis: Well, it must be urgent. Otherwise, you would've waited till the morning.
Carly: Okay, not that it's any of your business, but Michael happens to be playing St. Patrick in a school pageant and he wants Sonny involved.
Alexis: Oh, all right. Well, that's simple enough. I can pass that on.
Carly: I need to discuss some things with Sonny.
Alexis: This isn't about Michael at all, is it?
Carly: You love being superior, don't you?
Alexis: Are you denying it?
Carly: I actually care about Sonny, and you would realize that if you had any ounce of objectivity. I want to make sure that he's protected and I'd do anything to do that.
Alexis: I hope not like you did with the Feds.
Carly: Okay, you know what? You should fall down on your knees and you should thank me for that mistake because if I was still living here, you would be across the hall doing your paperwork instead of using your position as his lawyer to work your way into every nook and cranny of his life.
Alexis: You said this was about Michael's pageant and now you're talking about some sort of protection. What exactly is going on?
Carly: Okay, again, it's none of your business, but I happened to find out that A.J. is after Sonny, and Skye's involved in the plan.
Alexis: Well, that's okay because he knows about that and it's being handled.
Carly: What's being handled?
Alexis: Why do you keep asking me things that you know I can't answer?
Carly: Fine. I will have Sonny answer it and I'll discuss it with him.
Sonny: Discuss what with me? What's going on?
Courtney: What is your problem?
Jax: You really want to know?
Courtney: You know what? Probably not.
Jax: Okay, well, then good night.
Courtney: You know, you do look kind of tortured, so if you want to tell someone --
Jax: Okay. I -- I got caught up in the drama of an attractive woman who was cruelly misunderstood last chance bail.
Courtney: I'm listening.
Jax: All right.
Jax: She --
Jax: She was rejected by most of her family. She doesn't have any friends. She's an alcoholic in recovery. And she has a bad reputation which I think is only partially deserved. She's independent but lonely, yet refreshingly honest about her faults. You know, I think she's -- she's unappreciated by everyone else but me.
Courtney: Well, I mean, you obviously get what she's about.
Jax: Yeah. She's -- she's charming and generous when she cares about someone. And she's full of surprises. You have this urge to want to defend her when others put her down. In fact, criticism against her only makes you more loyal in her defense. You know, stop me when this starts to sound familiar. Okay, you know, actually, don't, because -- because I need to say this -- to you, if you're interested. But mostly, to myself.
Max: Dead weight's always the heaviest. I'll pull, you just push, all right?
Taggert: Okay, okay. Does somebody want to tell me what's going on here?
Skye: Lieutenant, our lives are in danger.
A.J.: Nice of you to take your sweet time, Taggert.
Taggert: What, you couldn't call the auto club?
Skye: This isn't funny. Sonny's men have been threatening us.
Max: Officer, their tires are badly deflated. We were passing by and we volunteered to help.
Skye: Passing by?
A.J.: They let the air out of my tires.
Skye: They were trying to scare me and A.J.
A.J.: Then they blocked Skye's car.
Skye: Yeah, I'm trapped. I can't get out.
Max: Mr. And Mrs. Quartermaine misunderstood our intentions. We were just trying to help them.
A.J.: Oh, please. You know what? They flattened all my tires. It's obvious what happened here, Taggert.
Taggert: You know what? You know what? Silence, all right? A.J., Sonny's men are refilling your tires. Would you like me to tell them to stop?
Taggert: You heard the man.
A.J.: No, wait! Wait! No, they flattened my tires -- no, I want them to fill them back up.
Skye: No! Lieutenant, you arrest these men.
Taggert: On what grounds?
Skye: Well -- assault, intimidation, damage to property -- you figure it out. Just get these men down to the station and make them give you incriminating evidence on Sonny Corinthos.
Taggert: Thank you for your advice on police work, ma'am. So far, I still don't see a reason to arrest them.
Skye: Oh, we told you what they just did.
Taggert: Did you actually see them flatten your tires?
A.J.: No, but I --
Taggert: Did they threaten you, rough you up?
A.J.: No, actually --
Taggert: So you have zip.
Skye: Well, there were four of them. Two of them have left.
A.J.: That's right, and we will definitely be able to identify them should we see them again.
Taggert: I'm still looking for a crime.
Skye: Well, they all had menacing attitudes.
Taggert: "Menacing attitudes"?
Sonny: Michael as St. Patrick? I wouldn't miss it.
Carly: Well, good. I'll tell him.
Sonny: Is that it?
Carly: Actually, Sonny, I'm worried about A.J. He's still planning to get to you through Courtney.
Sonny: Courtney's fine, you know. She's staying with her mother, and A.J.'s situation is handled, and everything cool with Michael?
Carly: Yeah, but --
Sonny: And you're okay?
Carly: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm better than fine, actually. I'm doing extremely well these days.
Sonny: Oh, yeah?
Sonny: Well, thanks for trying to keep me informed.
Carly: I actually have more to tell you.
Sonny: Well, can it wait, because I got to -- I got to discuss some things with Alexis.
Carly: Oh, yeah, you know, that's fine. You go ahead and you handle your business.
Sonny: I'll call you, though.
Carly: Okay. Oh, hey, you know, you may have forgotten, but tomorrow night is my club opening, so --
Carly: Maybe you can come -- with Alexis, of course, because the invitation's for two.
Sonny: Alexis? I need you.
Lucky: All right, Sarah. What's going on?
Sarah: Not much, other than the fact that we've all been invited to live in a huge mansion on a private island.
Lucky: Is that a problem?
Sarah: Well, it's hard to complain when you're surrounded in luxury and servants and anything you could possibly want.
Lucky: Why were you saying that Nikolas and Gia were trying too hard for Elizabeth? I mean, why shouldn't they be?
Sarah: You're right. We're all friends and we all want the same thing -- for Elizabeth to be okay. I'm just being a territorial older sister.
Lucky: Well, get over it. Uh!
Alexis: So you found Courtney with A.J.?
Sonny: She wasn't there when I showed up. A.J. claimed that he -- that, you know, she wasn't with him.
Alexis: So how'd you find Courtney?
Sonny: Janine called and told me she'd come back.
Alexis: Did you have any trouble with A.J.?
Sonny: Not at all.
Alexis: Why don't I believe you?
Sonny: Ask Jax. He showed up to make sure I didn't hurt A.J.
Alexis: Good for Jax.
Sonny: Yeah. What matters now is Courtney. This whole started when Gia lied about the accident. She ran that red light. My sister's innocent.
Alexis: What about the witness?
Sonny: Bought. Cassadine money.
Alexis: But Elizabeth --
Sonny: Yeah, I know. She was injured. She doesn't remember anything at all. She's only repeating what Nikolas and Gia are telling her.
Alexis: Well, you don't know that.
Sonny: Nikolas took Elizabeth to Wyndemere to recuperate. He must have said about 15 times that she's putting the accident behind her. He's trying to block her memory. You're not surprised.
Alexis: I knew Nikolas was lying to me. I went over there and gave him a chance to confess, but he was going to stand by Gia no matter what.
Sonny: You didn't tell me?
Alexis: And I wouldn't have.
Sonny: Well, you know what this means to me.
Alexis: Yes, I know that you want Courtney vindicated.
Sonny: Then why didn't you --
Alexis: Because my family is just as important to me.
Sonny: Courtney is innocent. She's being framed for something she didn't do. I mean, you had information. You should have at least --
Alexis: Sonny, if you report Nikolas to the police, you and I are going to be on opposite sides.
Sonny: Ooh. You know, that night, I was sure that Taggert was railroading Courtney. I wouldn't even have thought about Nikolas. He framed her.
Alexis: Courtney got a ticket and a fine and it's already been paid.
Sonny: Right, and I kept telling her to keep her mouth shut, to wait for, you know, legal counsel, "don't do anything," you know, and all that kind of stuff and all that made her think was that I didn't believe in her.
Alexis: So you made a mistake.
Sonny: She wanted to hear the words, you know, "I believe you" and who said it? A.J. Quartermaine. I might as well have wrapped her in gift paper and delivered her to him.
Alexis: Sonny, you made an honest mistake.
Sonny: I handled it wrong.
Alexis: So what are you going to do about it?
Sonny: Well, I got to make it up to her.
Alexis: Yes, you do.
Sonny: Yeah, and how -- how the hell am I going to do that?
Jax: You know, 80% of the stories she told me were fabricated.
Courtney: Did you believe them?
Jax: Sometimes. Other times, I knew she was lying, but I went along with it anyway.
Jax: You know, I don't know. I've been asking myself that same question. Was it stupidity? I don't think so. Lack of experience? Nope, because I've been around the block more than once.
Jax: My own arrogance tripped me up. I knew her weaknesses and her faults. I knew exactly how her mind worked in every given situation. She actually told me most of it herself. But I thought that it would be different with me. I thought it'd be different. I wanted to find gold where others had found lead, and I wanted to succeed where others had failed. But, you know, I guess it's that same old lesson that's the same old thing that we can't seem to learn -- that you cannot change a person. You can't change a person. They've got to want it for themselves.
Courtney: Maybe she honestly thought that she did.
Jax: Yeah, perhaps. But then she is who she is, and I can't change that. The question is, are you going to be as arrogant as I was? For your sake, I hope not. Well, I've said my peace. I've paid my debt. So, Sonny's on his own and so are you. The only thing left to say is good night and good luck.
A.J.: So, Taggert, what are you -- you saying you can't do anything?
Taggert: Yeah, that's pretty much the size of it.
A.J.: That's just great. You say you -- you need evidence. What, are you just going to wait until I end up in a block of cement?
Taggert: I could give you some advice.
Skye: Oh, that'll help.
Taggert: Whatever it is you're doing to irritate Sonny Corinthos, immediately cease and desist.
Skye: He's trying to mess with Sonny's sister. How stupid is that?
A.J.: Why don't you just send out a press release?
Taggert: Whoa! You have done some self-destructive things in your times, but this has got to take the cake.
A.J.: You know what? I really don't care what you think. It's personal, all right?
Taggert: No, no, no. Sonny is protective of his sister. He's been looking for an opportunity to nail you up against the wall. Put one and one together, A.J.
A.J.: You know what? I don't mean to interrupt here, but why don't we concentrate on the criminals and not me?
Taggert: Look, A.J., listen to what I'm telling you here, all right? Don't fool with another man's sister. I'm an officer of the law, sworn to serve and protect, but if you mess with my sister in any way, I can't be held responsible for what will happen next.
Skye: See? Even Taggert thinks you're chasing disaster.
Max: Mr. Quartermaine, you're ready to roll.
Gia: Oh, good. Sarah's gone. I only wish she'd leave for good.
Nikolas: Sarah can't prove anything, Gia. So the hospital forgot to run your blood alcohol test. How's that your fault?
Gia: Sonny's the one I'm worried about.
Nikolas: She told him Courtney ran the red light, okay?
Gia: Yeah, and what if he didn't buy it? You know, Sonny is a very powerful man. He can get anyone to check the facts.
Nikolas: I'm a powerful man, too, Gia, even more so than Sonny. I can pick up a phone and make things happen worldwide.
Gia: What if Sonny finds out we lied?
Nikolas: People will do what I ask them, Gia. You know, all it takes is the right incentive. Yeah, Sonny may have the influence that extends, you know, on the eastern seaboard, but my influence extends across the globe. And I promise you if it came to a test between me and Sonny, Sonny would lose. All right? Now, I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe. Okay? I promise that.
Elizabeth: I'm not sleeping.
Sarah: Well, you should be.
Elizabeth: Oh, I'm not tired enough yet. You're going to have to sit with me until I start yawning.
Sarah: I can do that. Would you like to hear about one of my especially boring classes?
Elizabeth: I'd rather hear what you think about Lucky.
Sarah: What do you mean?
Elizabeth: I don't know how to feel about him. Sometimes I love him so much, I just want to put my arms around him and never let go. But then I started thinking, "What if I'm wrong? What if we're just too different now?"
Sarah: Well, have you managed to figure it out?
Elizabeth: Not even close. He was so wonderful today with all the presents and trying to help me get used to living here at Wyndemere when I know he'd rather be anyplace else.
Sarah: Why didn't he say so?
Elizabeth: Because this is a place we can be together. I can't live with Lucky in a loft, or even at Kelly's. It would be too much pressure, and he knows it just as well as I do. He's staying here because of me. The least I can do is be grateful.
Sarah: Is that how you really want to feel about Lucky -- grateful?
Elizabeth: Well, it's an improvement over heartbroken. Sarah, I am so not over him, and I can't pretend to be. All I can do is be honest about what I really feel and hope that Lucky's being honest with me.
Sarah: Yeah, I hope so, too.
Jax: Good night, Skye.
Skye: Jax, look, I -- I really thought about what you said and -- and you have a point. A.J. should leave Courtney alone. Nothing good can come of this.
Jax: That's right, it can't.
Skye: Well, I'm really trying to get A.J. to see that, and I do think I'm making headway, especially after what happened here today.
Jax: You know, Skye, I might be impressed if A.J. and Courtney weren't meeting as we speak.
A.J.: Courtney! It's me, A.J.! Courtney? Hey.
Courtney: What are you doing here?
Sonny: I just came to see you.
Courtney: Look, I'm really tired.
Sonny: It's not going to -- I -- I just got something to say. It won't take long.
Courtney: I'm listening.
Sonny: You told the truth about the accident. Gia Campbell ran the red light. She lied.
Courtney: Yeah, like I told you about a billion times.
Sonny: I was just trying to protect you that night. I didn't want you railroaded because you're my sister. I didn't want you hurt because of me. I never thought that you lied. I didn't say that. I didn't say what you needed me to.
Courtney: No, you didn't.
Sonny: But, okay. If you want your name cleared, you want the record straight, I can make that happen. I will go to the cops, the courts. I'll even bring in that witness who lied -- whatever it takes to take the blame off of you and put it where it belongs.
Sonny: Because I -- I just -- I want a second chance.
Courtney: Sonny, I don't think that's a good --
Sonny: Okay, okay, can you at least sleep on it? Take your time, let me know what you decide? If -- you know, I mean, if you want to move forward, then I'll make it happen.
Courtney: Just so you know that I probably won't call.
Sonny: Well, I'm asking you to try again. I know it's not going to be easy. I'm just hoping that -- I'm just hoping that you'll try.
Carly: Not at liberty to say. Alexis, my foot. Oh, get ready to eat my dust because tomorrow night, I am going to prove to this town that I am a force to be reckoned with. Businesswoman. Designer. Magnet for movers and shakers. Anyone who's anyone is going to have their parties here and they are going to be asking me for my advice. They're going to want to follow my style. People will read about me and they're going to want to know my opinions, which I have plenty of. People are going to sit up and they're going to pay attention whether they like it or not. The Quartermaines, Alexis. A.J. Yeah, the whole town's going to pay attention. They will take notice.
Carly: I'm Carly Corinthos. I'm ready to take my place on center stage.
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Kristina: Well, that ought to make Carly's night -- you showing up at the opening of her club on Sonny's arm.
A.J.: No matter what I do, I can't get near Courtney.
Courtney: I haven't heard from A.J., and I was just wondering if you could have possibly done something to him.
Carly: You like?
Jax: I like.
