Lucky: I'm trying to find Elizabeth. Do you know where she is?

Skye: Grandfather has me thrown in jail, and you come along and get me out? You really are some kind of white knight, aren't you?

Zander: I've been knocked around before. I'm going to be okay.

Carly: Why can't we tell Sonny?

Zander: I am tiring of other people fighting my battles for me.

Alexis: Do you not know how I feel about you?

Jax: You're not listening. Look, just throw out everything you know and look at the big picture. Risk and reward -- that's the only way to win, is if you take a chance. Yes, I see the numbers. I just see them differently than you do. Playing it safe in this case is asking to lose.

[Knock on door]

Jax: Listen, I got to go. Just get it done, okay?

Jax: Oh.

Skye: Surprise.

Jax: Well, to what do I owe this pleasure?

Skye: Well, I thought you might like to know I’m your new neighbor.

Ned: Thank you. Hey, Scott.

Scott: Hey, Ned. I could have used you down at the police department tonight.

Ned: I'm afraid to ask.

Scott: Your grandfather had A.J. and Skye arrested.

Ned: Good for him.

Scott: Well, wait. Whoa -- I'm glad you weren't there. I thought you were the voice of reason for the family.

Ned: Well, any reasonable man would want Junior and Skye arrested. But I guess they've been released by now?

Scott: Oh, yeah, they've been sprung.

Ned: Yeah, I guess Grandfather would never disgrace the family name by actually throwing one of us in jail, as much as he'd like to think he can.

Scott: Well, actually, I think he was willing to make A.J. the guest of honor up at Sing Sing, but Jax talked him out of it.

Ned: Would you do me a favor? Next time this happens, don't tell me. My New Year's resolution is to stop picking up after my family. They never appreciate it and it gives me a headache.

Scott: Well, mine is I'm no longer going to be the whippet chasing the mechanical rabbit.

Ned: A man's got to do what a man's got to do. It's called self-preservation.

Scott: I heard that.

Lucky: So, do you know where Elizabeth is?

Bobbie: Lucky, it's late.

Lucky: I understand. But you're the only other person that she's gone through some of the toughest things in her life with. It only makes sense that she'd be here with you or she'd tell you where she was going. Now, if she's not here, I was hoping maybe you could tell me where I can look.

Bobbie: It's not a good time.

Lucky: She is here, isn't she?

Bobbie: Lucky --

Lucky: Elizabeth?

Bobbie: Oh, come on.

Lucky: Elizabeth?

Elizabeth: Zander -- oh, my God. Are you okay? What happened?

Zander: Never mind about me, okay? You shouldn't be here, Elizabeth.

Alexis: I'm with you. You know that.

Sonny: Yeah. I appreciate everything you've done for me and Courtney, but this isn't like you and Kristina.

Alexis: How do you know that? It's close.

Sonny: She grew up happy.

Alexis: How do you know that?

Sonny: Because I can see it in her face. She trusts everybody. She gives everybody the benefit of the doubt. Not like Courtney. I mean, why would she when, you know, Mike disappeared and left her with Janine?

Alexis: Technically, Mike didn't disappear. She was taken from him.

Sonny: Now, now, now. Look, don't start with that nonsense.

Alexis: Well, you know what? It's not going to do you any good by projecting your own pain onto Courtney.

Sonny: I don't have to put my junk on Courtney. She's been through a rough life as it is. I can see it in her face when Mike made her tell them to leave.

Alexis: You can't blame him for what --

Sonny: Yes, I can. That's why I wanted to throw him out first so Courtney wouldn't have to. I know how it works, chapter and verse. He comes to you with tears in his eyes. He says "I'm sorry, I love you." And if you don't give in, if you don't take him back and pretend like it never happened, then it's your fault because you're cold, unforgiving, you're trapped in the past. It's never Mike's fault because he's offering his love, and if you don't take it, you're screwed up. Now, I've -- sorry. I've been listening to his crap my whole life. Courtney shouldn't have to.

Alexis: You see, that's not up to you. You can't protect her because she has the right to make her own decision. And the sooner that you accept that, the easier it will be for her to trust you.

Sonny: You're not helping me out.

Alexis: I'm not telling you what you want to hear. I'm telling you the truth. Maybe you should listen.

Sonny: You don't back down, do you?

Alexis: Not from you.

Sonny: Good.

[Knock on door]

[Sonny sighs]

Alexis: Now, if that's Mac -- I'm going to do something -- I don't know. I'll think of something by the time I open up the door.

Carly: I need to speak to Sonny.

Alexis: Come on in.

Carly: When you weren't home, I took the chance that you were here.

Sonny: Okay. What do you need?

Carly: I'm in trouble and I need your help.

Sonny: I'm kind of in the middle of something.

Carly: It's important.

Sonny: Okay, can you wait across the hall and I'll be there in a second?

Carly: No, I can't wait.

Carly: I need to speak to Sonny in private. And when I'm done, you can have him back.

Alexis: Okay.

Carly: I don't want to say this in front of anyone else.

Sonny: All right. Come on, let's go. Alexis, can you excuse us?

Alexis: Sure.

Carly: Does Alexis ever leave you alone?

Sonny: Well, Courtney’s staying here. She's upstairs, and I don't want to fight with you. So whatever you need, tell me so I can fix it.

Carly: I was at my club tonight and a guy came in and he tried to shake me down.

Sonny: Did he hurt you?

Carly: No.

Sonny: Did he touch you?

Carly: No.

Sonny: Come on, be honest with me. Did he lay a hand on you?

Carly: No, I am fine. Not a scratch on me.

Sonny: Well, you shouldn't have been there alone.

Carly: Zander was just moving the car.

Sonny: Well, Zander shouldn't have left you. Your club's in a bad part of town, and that idiot Jax hasn't put a security system in there, so what --

Carly: Okay, look, it's my club, and if there's no security system in there, then I'm the idiot.

Sonny: Okay, all I'm saying is sometimes you don't think. All you think about is what you want to get, and you don't think about what could go wrong. All I'm saying is you could have been hurt, and I don't want that to happen.

Carly: Okay, listen -- will you just listen to me?

Sonny: No, no, will you just listen to me, okay? I've already backed away. I've done what you wanted. You don't have a guard on you. I'm not making you have a driver. I'm leaving you completely unprotected because you said that's what you needed. Okay? So you want to be independent. That doesn't mean that you risk your life or take serious chances out there, like being in the middle of nowhere when some pig tries to grab you and stuff.

Carly: Okay, I am fine. I am fine, okay? I'm safe, but Zander's not, okay? He is headed for some real trouble.

Zander: This isn't a great place for you to be hanging out, Elizabeth. You should really go home.

Elizabeth: How do you stand it?

Zander: What? I'm fine.

Elizabeth: That's it? Emily tells you she doesn't love you anymore and that's all you can say?

Zander: Whoa, wait a second. Who said anything about Emily?

Elizabeth: I need to know how you do it. How do you handle it when someone says, "I don't love you anymore"? How do you pretend to be the same person you were five minutes before when everything's changed and it doesn't make sense?

Zander: Well, I'm the last person you should be asking.

Elizabeth: You mean I'm the last person who deserves an answer. Look, Zander, I know that you loved Emily, and you and I both know I didn't give you credit for it. And -- and I didn't try to see -- I didn't try to see what she saw in you, and I guess that wasn't fair, like it's not fair for me to ask you how you got over her. But nobody else will give me an honest answer because everyone is so invested in me and Lucky.

Zander: Yeah. I'm not over Emily, and maybe I never will be. But if you want to know how she got over me, then you should call her and ask her about new boyfriend.

Elizabeth: In other words, you have no reason to help me.

Zander: I can’t. If you've dumped Lucky, then he's --

Elizabeth: Lucky doesn't love me anymore, Zander. We were about to get married. We said our vows in front of our families and everything. But he was faking it. Everything he felt for me? Gone. The love I was counting on for the rest of my life has disappeared, and now I don't know what to do.

Bobbie: Any ghosts in the closets?

Lucky: Okay. Elizabeth may not be here right now, but she was. I know this. Oh, come on. You said my name loud enough in the living room. Now, you held me up so she could slip out the back, right? That was the plan?

Bobbie: Lucky, there was no plan.

Lucky: Bobbie --

Bobbie: Okay. Okay. Yes, she was here. And, yeah, she probably did slip out when she heard you come in, but that was her decision, okay? I was just trying to be sensitive to her needs.

Lucky: I guess you don't think that I fit into her sensitive-needs category, do you?

Bobbie: Lucky, I really did try to get through to her. I reminded her that you didn't cheat on her, that this is something that was not done by you. It was done to you. And I also told her that I thought you would change if you could.

Lucky: And what did she say to that?

Bobbie: Elizabeth's pride is hurt. She loves a man who doesn't love her back. It's hard.

Lucky: But Elizabeth knows that I used to love her. I'm still the same person. I can love her again.

Bobbie: By faking it?

Lucky: If I had to. And in time, we'd make it real. Well, why can't she get that? I mean, I was ready to marry her. I was ready to give her the life of our -- we've always dreamed of. And -- doesn't that count for anything? Doesn't that count?

Bobbie: You know, Lucky, don't you see? Your good intentions are sounding like pity to Elizabeth. And that's a far cry from love. It really hurts.

Lucky: Yeah, I know it hurts. I mean, I'm the one who put the look in her eyes, and it kills me to know that I'm the one that did that. But I'm not giving up on Elizabeth. I'm going to make our love come back. I promise and I swear that I'm going to make our love come back. I just don't know how I'm going to do it.

[Jazz plays]

[Music stops]

A.J.: Hey! What, do you prefer Fats Waller?

Edward: What did you tell Lila?

A.J.: Who, me?

Edward: Yes, you, you ungrateful, disloyal, parasitical little twerp.

Ned: He's been a parasitical little twerp all his life, so don't get worked up over it now. It's bad for your ticker.

Edward: She has locked her door against me, and she won't even talk to me.

A.J.: Serves you right.

Edward: Hey, hey, hey. What did you tell her?

A.J.: You want to take it easy on the Kung Fu grip?

Edward: Answer the question!

A.J.: She asked why I missed dinner. I told her the truth.

Edward: You wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and bit you.

A.J.: Whoa -- Ned, Ned, Ned, you better get over here and calm the old man down. Look at him. He's turning a little red in the face.

Ned: You know what? Just ignore me. I left a music catalog up here this morning.

Edward: If you dare go to your grandmother after I dropped those charges against you --

A.J.: I told Grandmother I was down at the police station because you were having Skye and me thrown in jail. And the only reason I'm here right now is because Jax blackmailed you into backing off. So what does Jax have on you now, huh? What's up? You got another floozy in the closet?

Edward: Why on earth would you upset your grandmother with something that's already been settled?

A.J.: She asked.

Edward: Oh, God.

Monica: And it happens to be the truth.

Edward: Monica, why on earth must you keep defending this little weasel?

Monica: Because you tried to have my son arrested. You should hear what I told Lila.

Jax: Oh, so since when have you lived in this hotel?

Skye: Well, I just took the room across the hall from yours. We're neighbors now. Aren't you going to say anything?

Jax: Uh -- why?

Skye: Well, putting up with my family just stopped being fun, you know? Monica, Ned, Grandfather, Daddy -- they just got simply too tedious for words. So I thought, you know, a little vacation from the mausoleum would be fun if only for a night.

Jax: Oh, and you thought what better place for a vacation than the room across the hall from mine?

Skye: Well, I didn't intend on getting quite so close, but I thought when I saw it available, what the heck? We could discuss E.L.Q. business plans without having to go out in the cold.

Jax: Well, that's very convenient.

Skye: I thought so. As a matter of fact, I have some great ideas for restructuring if you'd like to hear them.

Jax: Skye, you're not here because of business or because you need a vacation or because that was the only room free in the entire hotel. You know that and I know that.

Edward: So what did you tell Lila? That she should lock my bedroom door until I learn to behave?

Alan: That's not a bad idea.

Edward: Oh, how nice. Another turncoat.

Alan: Father, you tried to imprison your own grandchildren. Now, if Mother wants to lock you out of the room and she considers that sufficient punishment, I think you got off easy.

Edward: I have been deceived and manipulated by your son and your daughter. And after I generously dismissed those charges, I wanted to be thanked. And instead, I'm being attacked again. Is there no justice in this house?

Alan: Father, just relax. You're going to hurt yourself.

Ned: That's what I told him.

Edward: How can you defend your conniving thief of a daughter?

Alan: You know, I'm not exactly pleased with her behavior, and I've told her so in no uncertain terms.

Edward: Alan, she lied to your face and she swindled millions of E.L.Q. stock from you. And that's your answer? Ooh, a firm reprimand. No wonder you're such a miserable failure as a parent. You may rest assured that your malcontent children are not going to ruin my marriage.

A.J.: No, you're doing a fine job of that yourself.

Edward: How dare you turn my dear Lila from me just to line your own pockets. Ned?

[Jazz plays]

Ned: Uh-huh?

Edward: This is an outrage. Ned, Ned, Ned, come over here and help settle this situation like you always do.

Ned: Actually, Grandfather, I'm kind of busy right now.

Edward: Passive-aggressive does not suit you, Ned, especially when the family is hovering on the brink of a disaster.

Ned: What do you want me to do about it? Be the voice of reason? I've done that before. No one listens to me.

Edward: Well, that isn't true, Ned. We -- we always listen.

A.J.: Yeah, we always do as you ask.

Edward: Shut up, A.J., and turn off that music.

Ned: You've been having the same argument for years. There's nothing I can do to fix it.

Edward: I'm not expecting miracles. I -- I just would like -- like some common sense, that's all.

Ned: You want me to be the peacekeeper? Well, judging from my past performances, I would fire me on the spot. After years of my best efforts, you're still at each other's throats.

Edward: Oh, Ned, where are you going? Come back in. Make them listen, Ned. Make me listen.

Ned: I'm sick of saving you all from yourselves. It's a losing battle, so I quit. So feel free to hack away at each other to your hearts' content. But something tells me after this latest round, not all of you will be standing.

Skye: What makes you think there's more to my being here?

Jax: Skye, you're one of the sharpest women I know. You're in control of your life. You leave nothing to chance. And for some reason, you have chosen my doorstep to show up on. Now, the question is, why? And don't tell me it's to discuss the restructuring of E.L.Q.

Skye: All right. You've caught me. This isn't quite the carefree, impulsive act that I implied. I guess someone who's so "in control," as you put it, couldn't quite pull that off.

Jax: Okay, so what's the real agenda?

Skye: Well, it wasn't simply tedious at the Quartermaines', it was brutal. I knew my father would be upset when he knew what I did to Grandfather, but what I didn't expect was his contempt. My own father looked at me like I was some kind of stranger, someone ugly and irredeemable. And I really didn't feel like putting up with much more of that, so I packed my bags and I left. So I took the room across the hall from yours when I saw it was available. Call me crazy, but I thought it would be nice to know that I had a friend nearby.

Jax: Well, that version is a little easier to believe.

Skye: Well, that's nice. Look, I just wanted to come by and say hi. It's late and -- well, I promise to be a good neighbor.

Jax: Skye -- would you care to join me for a glass of ginger ale, neighbor?

Skye: Thanks, but I don't think so. It is late, and I'm kind of tired. I'm just going to turn in. But it is really nice to know that you're so close by.

Jax: Well, good night, then.

Skye: Good night.

Bobbie: I wish I could give you an answer, Lucky. And I wish I could guarantee that it will all work out and that love would conquer all.

Lucky: But you think that's a bunch of bull.

Bobbie: I believe in the power of love. But I've learned that sometimes it isn't always enough. Takes a lot to make a relationship work under the best of circumstances. And you have had some difficult times, thanks to Helena. Elizabeth may not be able to get past that, no matter how hard you try. And you may not be able to get past it, either.

Lucky: What I can't get past is the way she looked at the wedding. The vows that she said to me. I mean, you were there, Bobbie. You heard what she said. She laid everything down on the line. She looked at me with this light in her eyes, with love in her eyes. And I wanted so badly to feel everything that she was feeling. Instead, I end up hurting her. I lied, and she ran away. I went upstairs and I started lying some more, but she knew.

Lucky: She wanted me to tell her the truth. And I told her that I didn't love her.

Bobbie: Do you love her now? Do you feel any differently toward her now than you did at the wedding on New Year’s?

Bobbie: Elizabeth knows that. You need to be honest with her. And with yourself.

Lucky: You want honesty? I can give you that. I know I honestly want to love Elizabeth. I honestly want to make her happy. I mean, the life that we've always dreamed about -- this life -- is all I've ever wanted, and I don't want to give it up. There's got to be some way that I can fix it.

Bobbie: I won't presume to tell you what to do. I'm just trying to make you understand where I think Elizabeth is coming from. What you do about it is up to you.

Zander: Look, I'm sorry things didn't work out for you and Lucky, but I can't have this conversation right now. You got to get out of here.

Elizabeth: Why are you in such a hurry for me to leave?

Zander: It isn't safe.

Elizabeth: Since when? I'm down here all the time.

Zander: Elizabeth, could you just take off?

Elizabeth: Does this have anything to do with those bruises?

Zander: It's -- it's nothing. Look, don't give up on Lucky, okay? If you love him, fight for him. But you got to get out of here right now.

Elizabeth: All right, fine. I'm leaving.

Rosco: Looking for me, kid?

Sonny: Did the guy have a name?

Carly: Rosco.

Sonny: Did you tell him who you were?

Carly: I have never been shy about telling people that I am Mrs. Corinthos to intimidate them. But you know what? This guy didn't seem to care. He said he'd seen you out with Alexis and that you were looking after her now.

Sonny: Rosco never was very bright.

Carly: Well, then Zander came in and he told him to take a hike, and he did.

Sonny: You should have called me.

Carly: I thought that mentioning your name was enough and that that crack about Alexis was just to hurt me. But then he had this guy --

Sonny: Rosco sent muscle to work Zander over as a warning.

Carly: How do you know all this?

Sonny: I know how a protection racket works, Carly. And I know that Rosco is arrogant enough to try it on someone who's close to me. What I don't understand is, why didn't you call me the second he was out the door?

Carly: Because Zander said that he wanted to handle this on his own. He thinks that that is what is expected of him. So I didn't call you. And I didn't make him go to the hospital. And I feel badly now for even being here because Zander's going to think that I don't respect him. But that guy Rosco -- I could tell he is dangerous. You know, I even think he got off on threatening your ex-wife. I don't know, now I think that Zander's gone to find him and deal with this on his own.

Sonny: You were right. You were right to talk to me. Come on. Alexis?

Alexis: Everything all right?

Sonny: Uh -- I got to -- I got to do something. I'll be back. Can you make sure Carly gets home?

Carly: I'm fine.

Sonny: No, no, I don't want you going to the lobby until the car is ready, okay?

Carly: Okay.

Sonny: Unless you want me to call Max and have him --

Carly: No, okay -- look, I can call. I've got a cell phone. It's me, I'll make a call. Would you just go? Make sure that -- just find him, make sure he's okay.

Sonny: Okay. You're all right, though? All right.

Alexis: Don't you ever get tired of this?

Carly: Of what?

Alexis: Getting into trouble and having Sonny have to come to the rescue?

[Alexis sighs]

Rosco: Why do you need to see me, kid, unless you want to apologize for your bad behavior?

Zander: You're in the process of making a huge mistake. So why don't you shut your mouth for five minutes before you make it any worse? Leave.

Elizabeth: Zander --

Zander: Now, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Are you doing some kind of deal with this guy?

Zander: Hey, would you just get lost?

Elizabeth: All right. Don't want to interrupt your business.

Rosco: No need to rush off, little lady. I don't bite. Oh, maybe I do.

Zander: Hey.

[Rosco laughs]

Zander: This is between you and me.

Rosco: You know, you got some great-looking ladies, kid. I mean, Mrs. Corinthos and now this lovely young thing. What did you say your name was, huh?

Elizabeth: Let go of me.

Zander: Hey, get your hands off of her.

Rosco: You know what, kid? I don't like your tone. You got to learn to be polite, especially in front of a lovely young lady like this.

Zander: Leave her alone. I'm not going to say it again.

Rosco: You want to play in the big leagues, kid, you got to play by the rules. Rule number one is you mess with me, people you know get messed up. Got it?

Lucky: Well, looks like the one who needs to be taught some manners is you.

Edward: You call this loyalty? You are turning your back on this family in our hour of need.

Ned: You like it this way.

Edward: Ned, I am surrounded by vipers at every turn. You're the only one that I can trust.

Ned: Not anymore. I'm done cleaning up after you, Grandfather.

Edward: Of all the ungrateful --

A.J.: Hey, cheer up, Grandfather. You don't like the family you've made, there's always adoption. Just because Nurse Bedford turned you down doesn't mean that the next gold digger won't be happy to accept your offer.

Ned: As much as I hate admitting this, Junior's right.

Edward: Ugh.

Ned: You want us at each other's throats, Grandfather.

Edward: No, no, no.

Ned: Look at A.J. You call him a drunk every day, and you blame him for screwing up his life. So what does he do? He goes out of his way to justify the label. And, Monica, you continue to play these two off each other -- playing protective mother one minute, doting daughter-in-law the next. And you can't see far enough past your own guilt to do anything about it, to stand up to them. We've spent our entire lives lying and manipulating each other. And then somehow we're surprised that it comes back to bite us.

Edward: Well, why don't you just stop lecturing about it and put a stop to it?

Ned: Because I can't! And if anything, it's getting worse. You're all lying and vindictive and petty. And the truth is you deserve each other. You need to wake up and see what you're doing before it's too late.

Edward: Where are you going, Ned?

Ned: To get a life.

Edward: Oh.

[Skye screams]

Jax: I heard screams. What happened?

Skye: There was somebody in my room, right outside the French doors.

Jax: You sure it wasn't a dream?

Skye: Yes! I -- no, I -- I don't know. It seemed so real.

Jax: The door was ajar. Is that how you left it?

Skye: I -- I don't think so.

Jax: It looks like someone was here, all right. What did he look like?

Skye: It happened so fast. I --

Jax: Come on, Skye, just try to think.

Skye: Oh, oh, okay. I'm trying. I -- he -- oh, I don't know. I don't know. I can't remember.

Jax: It's okay. It's okay. Just take it easy.

Skye: Why would somebody do this?

Jax: Hey. It's over now. It's going to be okay.

Edward: Well, don't -- don't worry about Ned. He gets frustrated like this every year. He'll get over it.

Alan: Yeah, but will we?

Edward: Oh, please, Alan, don't get maudlin on me.

Alan: Oh, for goodness sake, you had your grandchildren arrested. It's appalling.

A.J.: At the risk of agreeing with Ned, it's petty and vindictive.

Alan: And don't think that I am condoning your behavior. I am not. I just don't think you deserve to go to jail for it. Nobody did.

Monica: I happen to think a prison term would have done Skye a world of good.

Alan: Do you know what? Ned is right. All we do in this family is fight. And who do we hurt most? Ourselves. When we're united, we can defeat anybody. But, boy, when we turn against each other, we just come apart.

Edward: You know, what I really can't understand, though, is Skye's behavior. Look what you have done for her, Alan. You've given that woman everything -- your love, your stocks. And how did she repay you?

Alan: I cannot believe you.

Edward: What?

Alan: You are saying this just to get me back on your side.

Edward: No.

Alan: You want me to get you back into Mother's good graces.

A.J.: You are so painfully obvious.

Alan: You would say or do anything to get what you want or for payback or just because you feel like it.

Edward: That is your she-devil of a daughter that you're describing, Alan. She played you for a fool, and I was just trying to defend myself.

Monica: By having A.J. arrested?

Alan: There is a line, Sir, and you crossed it!

Edward: Oh? Says who?

Lila: I do.

Carly: Maybe you don't know Sonny as well as you think.

Alexis: Aren't we supposed to be getting you home?

Carly: You have no idea what's really important to him.

Alexis: I think I know what's important to you.

Carly: I don't think so. But then again, I don't really care what you think of me.

Alexis: All righty, then. Why don't we call that cab?

Carly: You know what? I can get myself home. Don't bother.

[Knock on door]

Alexis: What? What? What?

Lucky: Well, I guess your mother never taught you how to talk to a lady, did she?

Rosco: Ah! Ah!

Sonny: Whoa, whoa. Sorry for the unpleasantness. Fortunately, it's over. Why don't you go ahead and take Elizabeth home.

Elizabeth: Are you okay?

Lucky: Yeah, I'm okay. How about you?

Elizabeth: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine.

Zander: Hey, I'm sorry.

Elizabeth: No. No, no, no. I'm sorry I jumped to the wrong conclusion.

Zander: It's okay. It's all right.

Lucky: We need to talk. Sonny, you got all this under control?

Sonny: Yeah. Forget it ever happened.

Lucky: Will do.

Sonny: Zander. You stick around.

Lucky: Elizabeth, wait. You were at Bobbie’s when I was knocking on the door. How come you didn't come out and talk to me?

Scott: Hey, Lucky, Elizabeth.

Lucky: Hey, Scott.

Scott: Bobbie told me what happened on New Year’s. You both lost something, you know. Everybody will tell you that it's for the best, you were too young to be married, but I know how it feels. I'm sorry.

Elizabeth: Thank you.

Lucky: Thank you. Wait, we can't just leave it like this, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: You know what, Lucky? Maybe we should.

Lucky: Talk to me. Tell me how you're feeling.

Lila: I have said this before, Edward, but this time I mean it. You've gone too far.

Edward: Lila, could we -- could we please just let this go by the board? It's been a very long day.

Lila: You were about to send two of your own grandchildren to jail. It's -- it's unforgivable.

Edward: If you can't see that they drove me to it, then I have finished pleading my case. I've weathered storms in my time before, and I can certainly weather this one.

Monica: But not in my house.

Edward: Oh, I wouldn't dream of staying in this den of traitors another minute. You've all turned on me and -- and you've stolen my life's work, and you have punished me for your shortcomings! And you, my dear, dear Lila -- you have at last taken the wrong side. Very well. Suit yourselves. I am Edward Quartermaine, with or without any of you!

Edward: Oh.

Alexis: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to answer the door like that. I just thought you were someone else.

Ned: Carly Corinthos, perhaps? I passed her getting off the elevator.

Alexis: It's late. What's up?

Ned: I know it's late. Sorry. Um -- I just -- I really need to talk to you about something.

Alexis: Oh.

Ned: And it can't wait. It's about your sister.

Sonny: He hit you pretty good.

Zander: No, I'm fine.

Sonny: When somebody threatens you or Carly, you come to me right away. You understand what I'm saying?

Zander: I can't lean on you for everything, Sonny.

Sonny: You come to me immediately. That's not a request.

Carly: Sonny is right. You could have been hurt worse than you were.

Sonny: Carly, you were supposed to take a cab home.

Carly: Well, I had him drop me off here instead. I needed to see if Zander was going to come and look for this loser here. You stay away from my club.

Sonny: Carly, Carly, Carly, he's not a problem. Take Carly home.

Zander: Wait a second. That's what I do? Drive Carly? Sonny, I can do more.

Sonny: Zander, drive Carly home.

Zander: All right.

Sonny: Could you turn him around a little bit? All right. You approached my lawyer, you attacked my associate. That was unwise. You threatened my wife. That's unacceptable.

Jax: Well, I think Edward’s a little old to be climbing around on balconies. Alan and Monica are too sensible. A possibility's always Sonny.

Skye: Mr. Corinthos claims he doesn't hurt women.

Jax: I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Skye: That's very comforting.

Jax: Well, you need to deal with reality.

Skye: Boy, I'm having so much fun feeling sorry for myself. Well, I guess I don't really have a reason to complain. It's not every E.E.O. who gets rescued by her main shareholder in his bathrobe.

Jax: Well, by the way you were screaming, I didn't exactly have time to get changed.

Skye: As much as I appreciate your gallant gesture, I think whoever opened those doors -- well, they're locked now, so I'm fine. Really, you can go. Thanks for everything.

Jax: I don't think so.

Skye: What do you mean?

Jax: I'm not going to leave you. I'm going to stay right here with you.

>> On the next "General Hospital" --

Lucky: I want to love you again, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: And what if it doesn't work?

Ned: I just need to know how you feel.

Alexis: About what, Ned?

Jax: You know exactly what you're doing, don't you?

Skye: I told you, I was getting ready for bed.

Zander: There's something I got to tell you about me and Carly.
