>> Previously on "General Hospital" --
Nikolas: I will win you back, whatever it takes.
Gia: Well, it won't be easy.
Jax: I think you're an egotistical, self-centered, spoiled, little rich girl who thinks the world owes her something.
Mac: We've got suspects, all with means, motive, and opportunity. One of you is guilty.
Sonny: Leave it alone, Commissioner.
Mac: Several of you could be responsible for Joseph Sorel's death. You made choices. You're culpable.
Alexis: Not in a court of law you wouldn't be.
Mac: We're not in a court of law, Ms. Davis.
Mike: You got that right.
Mac: As you know, we've narrowed down the suspects.
Carly: What do you mean, "We"? Oh, is Felicia a cop now? Oh, is that why you sent Taggert out of the room, so that the ex could help pitch in?
Bobbie: Carly, you aren't helping.
Carly: Are you embarrassed, Mac? Because you should be. What little case you have is falling apart.
Mac: Do you want to leave, Carly? Any of you want to leave? Go ahead. But the sooner you leave, the guiltier you look.
Melissa: Well, that's a cheap trick.
Mac: But effective. Someone in this room turned off Joseph Sorel's respirator. That person is the killer.
Roy: At least that's your theory.
Alexis: "Theory" being the operative word.
Mac: One of four people is responsible. A.J.
Alan: That's ridiculous.
Mac: You tried to protect your son from Sorel, so you turned off the respirator and tried to frame Carly.
Carly: Thank you.
Monica: Why can't you leave A.J. alone?
Mac: And then there's Monica.
A.J.: My mother wouldn't hurt anyone.
Mac: Don't be so sure. A mother will go to great lengths to protect her child, right, Bobbie? You were in the hospital at the time the respirator was turned off.
Felicia: Eyewitnesses aren't always reliable.
Bobbie: Thank you, Felicia. Am I a suspect or not?
Mac: It's a stretch. Which brings me to Sonny Corinthos. You wanted Sorel out of the picture. That's not a stretch at all.
Alexis: May I remind everyone here that Sorel was on Death Row?
Mac: But he escaped and he terrorized your wife.
Sonny: That's right.
Mac: Yeah, and you're an efficient man, aren't you?
Alexis: Exactly my point. Why wouldn't he just wait for the criminal justice system to work?
Mac: Sorel could have lived for years on appeal, running his territory from prison -- territory which you have since taken over.
Alexis: The word "territory" is open to interpretation.
Mac: We all know what I mean.
Carly: Sonny didn't do it.
Angel: Is there a point to all of this, or am I missing it?
Alexis: All we're hearing here is speculation.
Monica: Mac, do you really think you're going to get a confession?
Mac: Let's just say I'm closing in.
Alexis: Oh -- for heaven's sake, Mac, are you going to arrest someone here tonight or not?
Jax: Why would I help you go after Sonny? I just warned you to stay away from him.
Skye: After he forced A.J. to sign away his son -- I don't think so.
Jax: Since when do you care about Michael?
Skye: He's family, and so is A.J. You know, maybe you don't understand that, but for me --
Jax: Okay, what I understand is completely irrelevant. What I do know is the Quartermaines don't even like you.
Skye: A.J. does.
Jax: Only because you're helping him go after Sonny.
Skye: You know, there's something about me that you need to understand. When I'm warned to stay away from something, I can't resist.
Jax: Well, that's awfully grown-up of you.
Skye: Who said I was perfect?
Jax: What do you have to gain?
Skye: Gee, I don't know. Respect from my family, helping my black sheep brother, keeping Michael safe, shares of E.L.Q. --
Jax: So this is about money?
Skye: Not to mention the power. If you and I were to work together --
Jax: What's in it for me?
Skye: What would you like?
Nikolas: Hey. You waited.
Gia: What did you expect?
Nikolas: I love you. You know that, right?
Gia: Did something happen? You look awful.
Nikolas: Helena knows that I've been faking my return to the family.
Gia: How did she find out?
Nikolas: I told my father.
Gia: Your father is dead.
Nikolas: No, actually, he's very much alive.
Gia: What? Says who? Helena? She's just trying to mess with your mind and pull you back into the fold.
Nikolas: I saw him, Gia.
Gia: How could you, Nikolas? This has to be some sort of scam.
Nikolas: It's not a scam. I saw him. When I was a child, I used to think that he would come back for me. Helena always told me that he was a prince -- some kind of a warrior, I believe she called him. And I used to imagine that he would -- he would walk out of the ocean, like some hero in mythology. And I wanted to be just like him. But then I grew up and I learned of all the terrible things he had done to Laura and Stefan and Luke.
Jax: Why not begin with what I don't like? Revenge comes to mind.
Skye: What's wrong with revenge?
Jax: It's boring, messy, and unprofitable.
Skye: Well, then, tell me what you do like.
Jax: Acquisitions, as a rule.
Skye: Okay. Now we're getting somewhere.
Jax: But I don't need your help with E.L.Q.
Skye: I think I have more power than you think, especially with Alan and A.J. on my side.
Jax: A.J. has no power, and Alan will side with Monica when push comes to shove, make no mistake.
Skye: I wouldn't be so sure about that.
Jax: In any case, the numbers don't add up. A.J. sold me his shares ages ago. And Lila votes her own, so that means they're off-limits.
Skye: What about Edward? If he votes with you and me --
Jax: Why would Edward give away his vote?
Skye: Oh, don't worry. He will.
Jax: You've got something on the old boy, don't you?
Skye: Let's just say that if the family were to find out what Edward really did, they'd see him in a whole new light.
Mac: I'm not making an arrest at the moment.
Alexis: Why, because you have no viable suspects?
Alan: Your little plan didn't work, did it?
Mac: There's some new evidence.
Carly: Oh, since when?
Mac: It's being examined at the police lab now. When the results are in, you'll know.
Melissa: Mac, you could've told us that ages ago.
Mac: Guess it slipped my mind.
Roy: That is cold, man.
Bobbie: Are we finished?
Mac: I'd find a good lawyer -- all of you.
Monica: Why does that sound like a threat?
Mac: And don't leave town. We clear on that, Sonny?
Alexis: You want to make me bring up harassment now?
Alan: Harassment? How dare you defend him about anything after what he's done to our family.
A.J.: I'll prove that Sonny forced me to sign those papers.
Alexis: That would be a good idea, A.J., because without proof your allegations are libelous, which are grounds for another lawsuit.
Carly: Sonny can defend himself.
Sonny: Can you try not to say anything for once or not?
Carly: You know, we all know what's really going on here.
Angel: Carly, my father is dead. Can't you just set aside your petty jealousy for one second?
Carly: You really think that Sonny cares about either one of you?
Angel: I don't have to listen to this.
Sonny: Hey, Mike? Can you make sure Bobbie and Carly get home?
Mike: That's no problem.
Bobbie: Okay, I'll --
Carly: I can arrange my own ride.
Bobbie: Talk to you tomorrow.
Carly: I know you didn't do it, Mother.
Bobbie: Hello? I'll be right there.
Roy: Is it Luke?
Bobbie: Yeah. He's worse.
Mac: We're almost finished here if you have to leave.
Felicia: We're a team, aren't we?
Mac: Yeah, but if you have to be someplace else --
Felicia: I'm not going anywhere.
Sonny: You'll ride with Alexis. Johnny will drop you off.
Sonny: How you feeling?
Zander: I'm all right.
Sonny: Yeah? You know, I'm not comfortable with you lying for me, but I guess, you know, sometimes you got to do what you got to do, right?
Zander: Well, you'd do the same for me, right?
A.J.: I've seen about as much as I can take.
Monica: Well, I just thank God Emily wasn't here to see this.
Alan: She would've been in college now if it wasn't for Sorel.
Monica: You're right.
A.J.: Let's go.
Sonny: Alexis -- I've got you covered -- you know that? And your sister.
Alexis: Thank you.
Sonny: You need to go home and get some sleep.
Alexis: I intend to.
Sonny: All right.
Mac: I hope you advised your client not to leave town.
Alexis: Do you not think that I know what's going on with you?
Mac: I have a feeling you're going to tell me.
Alexis: You can't solve the Chloe Morgan case so you're going to try to close the case of a man that no one gives a damn about?
Mac: We both know your brother killed Chloe.
Alexis: You had the perpetrator in custody at Wyndemere, and you let him go.
Mac: How can you be so sure?
Alexis: Why aren't you looking for him? And I'm not just asking you that for me. I'm asking on behalf of everyone.
Gia: You never actually spoke to your father. I mean, you didn't even see him move. You can't be so sure.
Nikolas: Laura's seen him, too. My father is alive.
Gia: Nikolas --
Nikolas: And I look just like him.
Gia: If that's even who you saw.
Nikolas: You know, at one time, just knowing that we would have looked alike would have made me so happy. And then I discovered what kind of person he really was, and I was so afraid that I would grow up to be just like him.
Gia: That could never happen.
Nikolas: I played the prince routine perfectly. I lied. I manipulated the people I care about. I hurt you.
Gia: It was a scam.
Nikolas: That's what the Cassadines do best, Gia. All right, now, I may be my father's son, but I will not let him hurt the people I care about.
Gia: Okay, now you're scaring me.
Nikolas: I either finish my father or I become my father. I will finish him.
Gia: Maybe you don't realize how kind you are, but I do. And you're strong, too. And you are better than all of the Cassadines. You will never be the prince of nothing.
Nikolas: Gia, what if I can't escape? I mean --
Gia: You know that Greek hero that walked out of the ocean? Maybe he landed right here and maybe he was you all along. I love you, Nikolas.
Alexis: Why aren't the police looking for him in Wyndemere? He could be hiding in tunnels.
Mac: Are you saying this mystery man knows his way around Wyndemere?
Mac: Is he a Cassadine?
Alexis: Stefan needs your help.
Mac: Alexis, how can I help you if you don't tell me everything you know? Why are you so afraid?
Alexis: Just find him.
Felicia: What do you think she's covering?
Mac: I don't know, but there's nothing that I can do about it.
Felicia: You don't know who that guy is?
Mac: Alexis seems to be the only one who knows, and she won't tell.
Felicia: You'll find him.
Mac: Well, right now I got a better chance of finding who's responsible for Sorel. With any luck, the person will break into the police lab or try to leave town tonight.
Felicia: All we have to do is wait. I'm very proud of you today.
Carly: So, you're meeting Sonny later -- is that it?
Alexis: It's been a long day, Carly.
Carly: You still think I can't see what you're up to?
Alexis: I think you need to get a life.
Carly: I think I have a life. I have a husband and a son, which is a hell of a lot more than you can say for yourself.
Alexis: Well, then, I guess you win.
Carly: Sonny would never be with you.
Alexis: I wouldn't dream of it. Good night, Carly.
Alexis: I don't want to keep Johnny waiting.
Zander: Wait a second. Are you upset with me?
Alexis: Why would I be upset with you, Zander?
Zander: Because I backed Sonny against A.J.
Alexis: He did do it, didn't he?
Zander: Sonny wouldn't let A.J. out of the meat locker until he signed Michael away. Alexis, Sonny did all of it.
Jax: Tell me what you have on Edward.
Skye: Why would I do that?
Jax: Don't you want to keep me interested?
Skye: Do we have a deal or not?
A.J.: Why do you think I need to make bail?
Jax: That sounds like the black sheep wandered home.
A.J.: Mac obviously thinks Mom did it.
Skye: Well, that's kind of interesting.
Alan: There's no way the police are going to arrest Monica.
A.J.: Then why don't you tell me what happened that night, Dad, Mom?
Monica: Why did you try to frame Carly?
A.J.: You guys are protecting each other, aren't you?
Jax: Well, I hope all is well.
Alan: What are you doing here?
A.J.: Did you invite him?
Skye: Will the real perpetrator raise her hand?
A.J.: Nobody knows who did it yet.
Alan: Mac tried to bully it out of us.
Monica: You would've felt right at home.
Skye: But everyone's all right, though, Dad? A.J.?
A.J.: Yeah. Mac's been reading too many mystery novels. He dragged us all out to Sorel's old house.
Jax: Who was there?
A.J.: What difference does it make?
Alan: The three of us, Bobbie, Zander, Angel.
Jax: Did Mac question Angel?
Monica: Well, she's obviously a suspect.
Jax: Excuse me. I have to go.
Monica: Something I said?
Skye: Wait a minute! We haven't finished our business yet.
Angel: What are you doing here?
Sonny: The cops put a tail on me, and the driver lost him.
Angel: What do you want?
Sonny: Well, you need protection, don't you? Help?
Sonny: I know.
Melissa: Well, they say that Luke's more coherent, but his vitals are getting worse.
Roy: I want to see him.
Melissa: Bobbie's in there with him right now. I think she needs a little time alone with her brother.
Roy: I'm going to go up top for a little while, grab some air.
Bobbie: Oh, Luke. You have to get better.
Bobbie: Luke, fight. Fight. Right now you're fighting for your life.
Luke: Yeah, I'm fighting, Barbara. Seems like I've been fighting for so long. Always the same enemy -- Cassadines.
Gia: What is that look for?
Nikolas: I'm just trying to understand how you could possibly still love me.
Gia: Well, I tried to stop, but I couldn't. You're the Nikolas that I love, not the prince that your family tried to make you.
Nikolas: Then why can't I do what's best for you and send you away?
Gia: Because I am not a package and you can't send me anywhere.
Nikolas: I know that. But being here with me isn't safe, Gia.
Gia: Will you shut up already? Look, being together is everything. The rest we can deal with as long as we have each other.
Nikolas: I can't believe you. How could you possibly forgive and defend me after everything I put you through? How?
Gia: Well, I was ready to make you grovel. I mean, I had it all planned. I was going to make you get on your hands and knees and beg. I wanted you to ache and cry yourself to sleep like I did.
Nikolas: Why didn't you?
Gia: Because I know you're fighting for your mother and your brother. And how could I not forgive you? What you did to me -- it's in the past. It's over. And the good prince is back, the Nikolas that I fell in love with.
Nikolas: All the nights that you spent crying, I was crying, too. The thought of you is what kept me going. And then after everything I put you through, I screwed up and I betrayed myself. Helena won't forgive me any more than I will give up trying to stop her. This may be the last time we have together, Gia.
Gia: Don't say that. Don't even think it. We will have our whole lives together, starting now. And I will help you and love you, and -- and all you have to do is let me. What?
Nikolas: There's something I have that belongs to you.
Gia: You saved it?
Nikolas: Yeah. I used to look at it all the time, and I couldn't wait for the day that I could give it back to you. Will you take it, please?
Gia: Would you put it on me?
Nikolas: This is what I want for us, Gia -- you and me loving each other again, someplace where the world can't touch us.
Gia: I understand there aren't any guarantees. But just like I knew somewhere deep down that we would find each other again, I know right now in my heart that we will always be together.
Bobbie: Hey, Luke?
Bobbie: Could I run something by you?
Luke: Sure. What's on your mind?
Bobbie: I may have had the chance to save Joseph Sorel.
Luke: Oh, yeah, lowlife, small-time mobster, always on the hunt for Sonny. Well, what happened?
Bobbie: Sorel died in this hospital.
Bobbie: So I checked on him the night he died. And I went in there, and I thought he was already dead, but, you know, maybe I -- I could have called a code blue. I could have tried to save him.
Luke: Why? He was slime.
Bobbie: I am a nurse. Maybe there was something I could have done to help.
Luke: Barbara, what -- what the hell are you torturing yourself over this for? Come on. Get a grip. You're the best nurse this hospital's got. If Sorel died, it's because his number was up. It's a random universe, darling. Bad things happen all the time for no reason at all. Justice isn't only blind, it's also impersonal.
A.J.: So, where'd Jax go?
Skye: Who knows?
Monica: What was he doing here in the first place?
Skye: So, Monica, how does it feel to be suspect du jour, hmm?
Alan: Monica didn't hurt anybody. Now, if you'll excuse us, I need a moment alone with my wife.
A.J.: No problem.
Skye: Oh, Daddy, just call if she comes after you, okay?
Alan: There will be no harassing Monica, especially tonight.
Monica: I really appreciate your support.
Alan: I want you to tell me the truth.
Monica: Well, that's fair.
Alan: I don't believe that you're responsible for anything that happened to Sorel. But then again, you've always had a way of surprising me.
Felicia: Just don't see Bobbie shutting off that respirator.
Mac: She had good reason to hate Sorel.
Felicia: But to hurt a patient? She would never do that, and neither would Monica.
Mac: Alan did.
Felicia: You got me there. Okay, so you shut off a respirator and you watch someone struggle for air. Who could do that? Not Melissa.
Mac: Who could?
Felicia: Someone ice-cold.
Mac: Sonny or a member of his organization.
Felicia: Isn't that a little bit risky, considering he was on death row?
Felicia: How could you stand by and watch it happen and do nothing?
Mac: Felicia, I think you're on to something. Come on. I want to use the radio and call the station and have them check on something.
Sonny: Ahem. I know you shut off the respirator, and I know you killed your father.
Angel: How'd you figure it out?
Sonny: Well, my associate Max saw you leave Sorel's room. He went in and checked on Sorel, and he was dead. He kept an eye on you to make sure you got out of the hospital.
Angel: You've known the whole time?
Sonny: Your father hurt you, okay? And I can understand that he also took away the person you loved the most. I can understand that. Every day Sorel was alive, it cost you.
Angel: I loved my father.
Sonny: You also loved your husband, right? I know -- I know what it feels like to take care of a situation. I know what it costs inside.
Angel: I knew that he had to be stopped.
Sonny: That's right.
Angel: Well, now it's over.
Sonny: Well, not if they have new evidence.
Angel: You really think the commissioner has anything?
Angel: It's the oldest scam in the book.
Sonny: Well, then, don't -- don't show up at the police lab and don't try to leave town.
Angel: You know, the funny thing is, is my father would know what to do.
Sonny: You're looking at premeditation here. I don't know if you know that or not.
Angel: But I didn't have a plan, Sonny. I was sitting at a bar, wearing these pearls that my father gave me for my sweet 16, and all of a sudden they were choking me and I couldn't breathe. I knew what I had to do.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah. But sometimes, you know, premeditation comes down to a matter of seconds.
Angel: But even when I walked into the room, I didn't know if I could do it. And then I realized that as long as my father was alive, I would never be free.
Sonny: Okay. Your father hurt a lot of people, and now he's hurt you more than anybody.
Angel: It was happening all over again, Sonny. I couldn't let him kill you, too.
Roy: You know, I keep thinking I should have found a way to see what Helena was up to, somehow kept her from hurting Luke.
Melissa: None of us could've done that.
Roy: When you love somebody, it's your duty to protect them.
Melissa: That's why you turned the respirator back on, isn't it? Because you thought I was the one who turned it off.
Roy: I wasn't going to let them punish you for that.
Melissa: I don't even know what to say.
Roy: There's nothing to say. We just got to find a way to put it behind us, that's all.
Roy: Yeah. We can't keep letting what happened in the past chase us down.
Melissa: You think it's that simple?
Roy: I don't know. Let's figure it out. How are we going to go on from here?
Alan: Harming a patient goes against everything I believe in, but when I think about Emily and everything that Sorel did to ruin her life -- if you turned off that respirator, Monica, I swear to you, I will understand and I will do everything I can to protect you.
Monica: I know that.
Alan: Did you?
Monica: No -- but --
Alan: You can tell me anything.
Monica: I saw you turn off the medication. And I could have switched it back on. But I didn't because I believed that what you were doing was the right thing.
Alan: He'll never hurt our children again.
Monica: And you went against everything you believe in because you love Emily. Oh, my God, I love you so much for that. Now more than ever.
Alan: I love you, too.
Alexis: So everything that A.J. said was true?
Zander: A.J. tried to frame Carly to take away Michael. There's no way Sonny's going to let him get away with that.
Alexis: Zander, do you realize that you lied in front of everyone without even blinking an eye?
Zander: Alexis, you work for Sonny, too.
Alexis: Is that your excuse?
Zander: What's yours?
Zander: I don't know. There's something about Sonny. It's just -- you feel like you have a chance, you know? Like you can be somebody.
Alexis: Then be somebody, Zander.
Zander: You think I can get a hold of Emily?
Alexis: You can use the phone in Johnny's car.
Zander: Now that all this is over, I can't wait to see her.
Felicia: How long will it take them to get back to you?
Mac: I told them to make it a priority. Come on; let's go over what we have. We're looking for someone cool and detached.
Felicia: Maybe a professional.
Mac: Or close to it.
Felicia: Someone who knows Sorel's life and hates him.
Mac: And wanted to make him pay.
Mac: It has to be.
Felicia: It has to be. How could we not know this?
Mac: Sorel had her husband killed.
Felicia: She thought the same thing was going to happen to Sonny. Who are you calling?
Mac: I'm not waiting for the records. Yeah, this is Scorpio. I need an arrest warrant -- now.
Jax: Get away from her.
Angel: Jax --
Jax: You killed your father to protect Sonny, didn't you?
Angel: How long have you known?
Jax: For a while. Ever since you told me you were letting go of him.
Sonny: This really doesn't concern you, Jax.
Jax: Nothing ever changes with you, does it? Let a woman do your dirty work. Who cares if her life is ruined? You'll just find another one, if you haven't already.
Angel: Jax, I turned off my father's respirator because I wanted him dead.
Jax: Is that what Sonny told you to say?
Sonny: Well, I think Angel can speak for herself.
Angel: I am my father's daughter.
Carly: Oh, my God. It was you.
Gia: I couldn't decide what I missed most. At first I thought it was your shoulders, so strong and smooth. But then I said, no, it's his chest. So well-defined. And I kept thinking about how comfortable I was lying against it. And then I thought, no, it's his hands and his fingers. But then I thought, no, there's no contest. It's his face. And your lips. And your kisses. And how it feels to get lost in your eyes. Just forget about everything else, okay? Just for now, just get lost in my eyes.
A.J.: Coast is clear.
Skye: Why on earth would you accuse Sonny in front of all those people?
A.J.: Oh, gee, maybe because the guy stole my son?
Skye: Remind me never to tell you a secret.
A.J.: You know what? You said that you were going to help me get my son back, and what's your plan so far, hmm? Trying to make out with Jasper Jacks?
Skye: He could be very helpful.
A.J.: He's way out of your league.
Skye: He hates Sonny.
A.J.: Yeah, well, this guy's a raider, a thief. You can't trust him.
Skye: Why would I do that?
A.J.: He's totally out for himself, Skye.
Skye: Yeah? Well, what a coincidence. So am I. Maybe Mr. Jacks has finally met his match.
Carly: It was you all along. The three-in-one solution -- get rid of Daddy, frame me for it, and steal my husband.
Jax: That isn't what happened.
Carly: I knew you were trash from the beginning, you and your stupid white dresses and your house out in the middle of nowhere. You lying little tramp, crying all over the place. In the meantime, you're trying to rip away my family.
Jax: Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm down.
Carly: She's going to pay for this.
Sonny: Hey -- get your hands off. Enough, Carly. Okay, there's a car heading up the driveway. What --
Jax: Mr. Corinthos, you got any bright ideas?
Luke: Oh. Is that for me? What is it, rats in a blender?
Bobbie: Ah. It's not supposed to taste good. It's medicine. Uh-uh-uh-uh-uh -- what year is this?
Luke: It's 2001. Overall, not a very good year.
Bobbie: Well, that's very good. You answered correctly. Here's your prize.
Luke: I usually like lime and salt with my tequila shots.
Bobbie: Go ahead. Jax found it in Helena's suite. Tony analyzed it. He thinks it's an antidote.
Luke: "He thinks it's an antidote"? I'm a guinea pig?
Bobbie: Right now it's the best shot you've got at a cure.
Luke: Ooh, it's got quite a kick.
Bobbie: Who cares what it tastes like as long as it works.
Luke: You didn't have to drink it.
Bobbie: Just get well. Hey -- I love you.
Luke: I love you, too, baby.
Stavros: Nikolas. My son. Is this why I came back? So that you could hate me?
Nikolas: You realize you're driving me crazy.
Gia: How ironic. I feel sane for the first time in weeks.
Nikolas: Now it's my turn to show you how much I've wanted you all along. How much I want you right this second. I love you.
Singer: If you saw me crying would you save my soul tonight would you tremble if I touched your lips would you laugh oh, please, tell me this now, would you die for the one you love hold me in your arms tonight I can be your hero, baby I can kiss away the pain I will stand by you forever you can take my very breath away I can be your hero
>> On the next "General Hospital" --
Zander: What did you say to Emily?
A.J.: You helped Sonny steal my son from me.
Jax: Don't worry. We're going to help you.
Angel: No, you won't.
