Charlie: [Grunts]

Belle: Give it to me.

Charlie: The hell I will.

Belle: Give it to me. Give me that right now!

[Cell phone beeps]

Charlie: Deleted. And you won't find a copy in the deleted recordings 'cause that's gone, too.

Claire: You son of a bitch.

Charlie: Got to hand it to you, Claire. It was a nice attempt.

Claire: No, I can still tell them what you said.

Charlie: Mm. Hearsay, right, Belle? It's my word against yours. Just like it was my word against Allie's. It's hardly enough to prosecute, much less convict me.

Claire: I hate you.

Belle: You get the hell out of this house right now, and if you come near my daughter again, I swear to God, I will kill you.

Charlie: Go ahead and try. I dare you.

[Dramatic music]

Belle: Get out of here.

Nicole: Welcome home.

Ava: Hey.

[Both chuckle]

Rafe: Yep.

Nicole: Isn't it beautiful? Love it.

Ava: Mm-hmm. It's great.

Rafe: Yeah, I'll just-- I'll take your bag to your room.

Ava: Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no, no. You've done more than enough just by letting me stay here. I got it.

Rafe: Okay. Yeah, second door on the left.

Ava: Thanks.

Rafe: Yep.

Nicole: Um... I should really be the one thanking you.

Rafe: Yeah. Right, 'cause I'm only doing this because of you.

Tripp: [Sighs] Yeah, sorry for making you wait again.

Steve: Oh, that's okay. I'm just happy I got to grab a meal with my son. So, you never said what held you up.

Tripp: I went by to see Allie to tell her that I accept her apology.

Steve: Well, that's good.

Tripp: Yeah, I should have done it right away, you know, when she first came over, but... I wasn't expecting it. You know, and in the moment, I didn't know what to say.

Steve: Well, maybe you just needed some time to work through your feelings.

Tripp: I'm not upset at Allie, not at all. Yeah, sure, I went through a tough time for a little while thinking that I was the one who attacked her, but I mean... she was a victim of this horrible crime, and... she's working really hard to get her life back, and I hope she can.

Marlena: Chocolate cheesecake?

Allie: For me?

Marlena: [Laughs] Of course. John and I were taking Rachel out for supper, so I thought I'd better just bring you a little treat.

Allie: Well, that is so sweet. Thank you, Grandma.

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

Allie: But you're really here to check up on me, right?

Marlena: Absolutely. Yes, I am. Now get a couple forks, and we will dig into that.

Allie: I'd love that. Um, so how was dinner?

Marlena: Dinner was great with Rachel. She's surprisingly well behaved for her age.

Allie: Hmm.

Marlena: And, uh, John would have liked to see you himself, but he had to get back and work on a case. So, he should--he should be there about now.

Allie: [Sighs]

John: Well, Charlie Dale. What the hell you doing walking around a free man?

Charlie: Not this again.

John: Hey, you shut up and listen to me, punk! I don't know where you're going in such a hurry, but you stay away from Claire and Allie, you got it?

Charlie: How about you tell Claire to stay away from me?

John: And what the hell is that supposed to mean?

Belle: Shawn, I need you to call me. It's urgent. Oh, my God, Claire. Oh, my God. If I hadn't have gotten here when I did, Charlie might have--

Claire: I know. I know. I know, but, mom, you really lost it. You said you were gonna kill him.

Belle: Yeah, well, I meant it. That monster doesn't deserve to live.

Claire: No, Mom. You can't hurt Charlie. No, if you got in trouble for a decision that I made, I would never be able to forgive myself. Please. Please.

Belle: Okay, listen, I know how upsetting this is. Just--

Claire: I'm not just upset with Charlie. Mom, I'm upset with myself. I had him.

Charlie: I couldn't stop myself.

Claire: So, you had sex with her... against her will? Meaning you raped her.

Charlie: Yeah... I did.

Claire: I had him. He admitted that he raped Allie, and I got it on tape. Why didn't I just grab my phone and run?

Belle: I am just so glad you're okay. Knowing what Charlie is capable of, just... [Breathes shakily] Oh, God. [Sniffles]

Charlie: Claire called me earlier and invited me over to her place.

John: Yeah, right.

Charlie: It's true. She said she wanted to give our relationship another shot, but it was all a lie. She was just trying to trick me into confessing to a crime that I didn't commit.

John: What do you mean trick you?

Charlie: She gave me all this bull about how she wants to be with me, but she can't unless I'm "honest." In other words, unless I admit that I'm a rapist.

John: You are a rapist.

Charlie: Okay, but I'm not, and I-I couldn't figure out why Claire was so determined to get me to say that I was. Turns out she had her phone recording the entire time. Thank God I noticed, or else she would have gotten me thrown back in jail.

John: Oh, kid, you're going back to jail, no question about it.

Charlie: Police have nothing on me, and neither does Claire. It was close. She could have ruined my life, but I stopped her.

John: What do you mean you stopped her? What'd you do to my granddaughter?

Charlie: Nothing. We talked. That's it.

John: What'd you say to her?

Charlie: Get your hands off me.

John: What did you say to her?

Charlie: I said I was in love with her! Which I was until she stabbed me in the back.

John: And then what?

Charlie: I left. But first I told Claire not to mess with me ever again, and I'm telling you the same thing.

John: You really want to get busted in half, don't you, punk?

Charlie: What I want to do is go home.

John: You do that, and if you so much as think about going near either one of my granddaughters... you're a dead man.

Nicole: I know I-I put you on the spot asking you to take Ava in, and I'm really sorry about that.

Rafe: No, you're not.

Nicole: No, I'm not.

Rafe: Nope.

Nicole: But I am really grateful.

Rafe: Yeah, and I'm not a huge fan of this whole arrangement, but I knew that I would catch hell from you if anything happened to Ava.

Nicole: Well, it won't. I mean, even if Charlie figures out where she is, he's not going to come here to the police commissioner's house.

Rafe: Oh.

Nicole: And look at you-- set out cookies.

Rafe: Yeah, I was hungry.

Nicole: Mm-hmm. Well, you know, those are Holly's favorite. So, do you mind if I take a few home to her?

Rafe: Well, I think we have clearly established that I can't say no to you, so I'm going to consider myself lucky that you're only asking for cookies.

Nicole: Mm-hmm. And I'm really lucky to have you as a friend.

Rafe: Well...

Nicole: I mean, not just because you took Ava in, but because you listen to me talk about Eric. I talk, and I cry, and I vent.

Rafe: I said I am here for you, okay? Whenever you need me.

Nicole: And I'm here for you, too.

[Sweet music]

Ava: Hey, I wasn't sure which-- I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt.

Nicole: No.

Rafe: Mm-mm.

Nicole: You didn't.

Rafe: You find the room okay?

Ava: Yeah, it's great. It's lovely. But, you know, I need to pick up a few things from my place, so I'm just going to run over there real quick.

Nicole: Absolutely not.

Ava: It's not going to take me long.

Nicole: That's not the point.

Rafe: Yeah.

Nicole: Ava, the whole reason you're here is to keep you safe. You just tell me what you need, and I'll go get it.

Ava: Nicole, it's--

Nicole: No arguing. There's no way I'm going to let you risk running into Charlie.

Ava: [Sighs]

Charlie: You might want to get a handle on that temper, old man.

John: Walk away now.

Charlie: Just saying. You could look into some anger management or something 'cause you're this close to having a stroke.

[Suspenseful music]

Claire: He admitted it. Mom, he admitted that he raped Allie. I... I have to see if it's still here.

Belle: He said he deleted it.

Claire: I know, but-- damn. It's gone. [Sobs softly, sighs] I just wanted to help Allie.

Belle: Honey, I know that, and I am so proud of you for that, but you have to promise me that you will never take a chance like that again. Do you hear me? [Cell phone beeps] Okay, good. Your dad is on his way home. Listen, when he gets here, we can tell him everything that happened.

Claire: Can you please just do it? I'm just--I'm really tired.

Belle: Honey, I think he's going to want to hear it from you.

Claire: And I will talk to him, I promise. Just, please, I want to go to bed. Please.

Belle: Okay. Hey, Claire...

Claire: [Sniffles]

Belle: I love you.

Claire: I love you, too.

[Dramatic music]

Marlena: Henry is sleeping like an angel.

Allie: Yeah, well, he probably tired himself out from his crying all afternoon.

Marlena: [Groans] Teething, hmm?

Allie: Yeah. I tried everything, but nothing was soothing him, so... luckily, I had some help.

Marlena: Oh. Nicole is good with him.

Allie: It wasn't Nicole. It was Tripp.

Marlena: Tripp was here?

Allie: Yeah, uh, he came by to accept my apology, 'cause, you know, I had told you I went over to his house, I don't know, a few days ago, and I apologized for wrongfully accusing him of attacking me.

Marlena: I know. You said he didn't have much to say.

Allie: Well, that was because he didn't expect me to apologize, and he just didn't know how to react, but he took some time to think about it, and he wanted me to know that he doesn't blame me for anything.

Marlena: He shouldn't blame you for anything, but I'm glad to hear that he was so forgiving.

Allie: Yeah, me too. But, anyways, when he came over, I was just kind of frazzled because I'd spent forever trying to get Henry down for his nap, and then all of a sudden, he was up again, just screaming his little head off.

Marlena: Oh, poor baby.

Allie: Yeah. It's just nothing was working. You know, I was trying everything, and so finally I went to go get his bottle, because usually that calms him down, and I let Tripp hold him while I did that, and... Tripp was so sweet with him, you know, and he said that he was around if I ever needed any help.

Marlena: Well... I'm glad the two of you made peace.

Allie: Yeah, me too. My son has so many strong women in his life, and I think it would be nice to add a guy into the mix, and Tripp... he's a really good guy.

Steve: So, you got to hang out with baby Henry, huh? Was he awake?

Tripp: Yeah. [Chuckles] Yeah, he was crying really, really hard, actually.

Steve: Oh.

Tripp: But I got to hold him for a second when Allie went to go get his bottle, and as soon as she just handed him to me, I just felt this... connection, you know?

Steve: Well, you are his uncle.

Tripp: Yeah, yeah, and, uh... he's really cute, too. I mean, I don't think I've ever held a baby that young before.

Steve: I'm sure Allie was, uh, grateful for your help.

Tripp: Yeah. Yeah, she was. And I told her I'd be around, you know, if she needed any more help.

Steve: That's very kind of you, son.

Tripp: I didn't know what a good father was until I met you, you know? Every kid deserves that. Just... unfortunately, little Henry's father belongs in prison, so I'd like to be there for him. I really think that he's going to need me in his life.

Charlie: Like hell he will.

Marlena: Oh, there you are. I got your text. What happened?

John: I ran into Charlie Dale, the smug little son of a-- I just wanted... Doc, I swear it took everything I had to keep from breaking his face, especially the way he talked about Claire.

Marlena: Claire?

John: Yeah. Something just went down between them.

Marlena: What? What happened?

Shawn: Wait, Charlie attacked Claire?

Belle: Where are you going?

Shawn: I'm going to go find that scum, and I'm going to arrest him.

Belle: No, you can't do that. Listen, I want that animal in a cage just as much as you do, but he never actually touched Claire.

Shawn: Wait. Hold on. Wait a second. You said that when you walked in here that Claire was screaming for your help.

Belle: She was. She was petrified, but I told Charlie to back off, and he did.

Shawn: Okay. And what about the phone? There was a struggle over Claire's phone where he confessed to rape.

Belle: The recording is gone. Charlie deleted it, and it's just gone, and so it's still Allie's word against his.

Shawn: [Sighs] So what? What are we supposed to do? We're supposed to do nothing?

Belle: [Sighs] No, I can go to the courthouse tomorrow. I'll file a restraining order.

Shawn: [Sighs] Look, if he had done anything to hurt her or you-- are you sure you're okay?

Belle: Yeah, I'm fine.

Shawn: I'm sorry. I'm sorry you had to deal with this alone, and I'm sorry that I wasn't here.

Belle: I'm just so glad that I got home when I did.

Shawn: It wasn't enough that bastard had to break Claire's heart. He's got to torture as well?

Belle: I know. Oh, my God, it's awful.

Shawn: I'm going to go check on her.

Belle: No, wait. Just leave her alone. Let her sleep.

Allie: Claire.

Claire: I snuck out. My parents don't know I'm here.

Allie: Why? Claire, what's going on?

Claire: I tricked Charlie into confessing. He admitted what he did to you.

Allie: Are you serious?

Claire: Yes. I recorded it on my phone.

Allie: Okay, well, let me hear that.

Claire: No, I can't. It's gone. He erased it. He figured out what I was doing, and he freaked.

Allie: Did he hurt you?

Claire: No. No, but he would have if my mom hadn't walked in.

Allie: Okay, well, I'm just glad that you're okay.

Claire: No, I had him, Allie. I could have nailed Charlie to the wall and finally got you the justice you deserve, but I blew it, and I'm just-- I'm so sorry.

Allie: Hey, Claire, Claire, you don't have to be, okay? You tried. My God, you tried. I am so grateful. That was really brave of you, Claire. Are you sure he didn't hurt you?

Claire: Yeah. No, I'm fine. I'm just-- I'm so frustrated. It just--it kills me that he could admit to doing something so horrible and then just walk out the door. I mean, it is wrong, Allie, and that is what I wanted to fix, but I failed... just like I failed to realize that Charlie isn't my soul mate. He's a vicious freak. Allie, how could have been so stupid?

Allie: Claire, you are not stupid. Charlie lied to you. He made you think he was someone that he wasn't.

Claire: Yeah, and I fell for it. I fell for him... the most horrible person in the world.

Charlie: You will never be a part of my son's life.

Steve: Hey... I don't know if you're aware, but Tripp is my son.

Charlie: So?

Steve: So... if you mess with my family, you mess with me.

Charlie: Am I supposed to be scared?

Tripp: Not worth it, Dad.

Steve: Yeah, I know he's not worth it, but he just needs to know that if the authorities don't take care of him, I will.

Charlie: I didn't do anything wrong.

Steve: No? Didn't do anything wrong?

Charlie: No.

Steve: You raped a woman. You got her pregnant, and you almost ruined my son's life.

Charlie: [Chuckles] It's sweet how Daddy sticks up for you.

Steve: I'll always stick up for Tripp, because unlike you, he's a good and decent man.

Charlie: You sound just like my mother. "Tripp's perfect, and Charlie's a massive screw-up."

Steve: And a rapist.

Charlie: Show me proof. You won't 'cause you don't have any. There is none. That's why the cops let me go.

Steve: Hmm. Well, you're still facing charges for kidnapping your mother. You tried to shut her up, but she's sure talking now. Ava made a statement to the police. She told them every sick thing you did to her.

Charlie: My mother is mentally unstable. Nobody is going to believe a word that she says, and if you or Ava or anybody else try to keep me away from my son--

Tripp: Since when do you care about Henry? You've never shown any interest in him at all.

Charlie: Well, I'm showing it now. Besides, what do you know about what I care about? You don't know a damn thing about me.

Tripp: I know you belong in prison.

Charlie: You'd like that, wouldn't you? Yeah, you want me to just go away? That's not going to happen. So, you can keep being the little golden son. You can have Ava, but Henry is mine. He's the one thing in this Godforsaken world that belongs to me, and you're not coming near him. I can promise you that.

[Dramatic music]

Steve: [Groans]

Ava: Rafe, um-- oh, you're working. I will come back later.

Rafe: Oh, it's okay. I'm just finishing up. Make yourself at home. Have a cookie.

Ava: [Chuckles] I'm good.

Rafe: All righty. Well, there's food. Help yourself whenever you want.

Ava: Thank you, Rafe, for your, um... your generosity and your hospitality. And rest assured, I will be out of here as soon as possible-- as soon as they set a court date for Charlie, and I will testify, and he will go to prison, and then it will be safe for me to make it on home.

Rafe: [Chuckles] Yeah. Here's hoping.

Ava: Look, I know that you didn't want me to stay here. Nicole had to strong-arm you into it and--

Rafe: That's-- look... it's okay.

Ava: Okay.

Rafe: Okay.

Ava: Thanks. Fine. I, um... just know the court system. You know, it's not really known for its speed, is it?

Rafe: [Chuckles] Uh, no.

Ava: So, I'm just thinking that as much as I want to tell you that I will be out of here in a couple of days, it just might not end up that way, we know, right? So... I'm thinking since we're going to be cohabitating for a while that it might be good if we're honest with each other.

Rafe: Okay. About what?

Ava: [Laughs] Well, for starters, I think that you should just admit that you think I'm a horrible person.

Rafe: [Laughs] Ava, that's--

Ava: Come on. Come on, it's fine. Rafe, come on, I get it. You are the police commissioner. You go after the bad guys, and I've been pretty bad. I've done a lot of bad things, and I, uh--I just went down a bad road, but I have decided to go in a different direction, a better direction. I want to lead a better life.

Rafe: What made you realize that?

Ava: A good friend.

Nicole: What the hell are you doing here?

Charlie: I need to see my mother.

Nicole: So, you can kidnap her again?

Charlie: Can you get out of my way, please?

Nicole: No, I can't. I'm going to be directly in your way till you finally get what's coming to you.

Charlie: Oh, my God, you freaking people. Why can't you leave me alone?

Nicole: Because you're guilty, and I'm sure you're feeling pretty good right now because you lied about what happened between you and Allie to the cops and they let you go. But you, Charlie Dale, are living on borrowed time.

Charlie: Okay, cool. Yeah, great. Fine. Awesome. Can I get in, please? Can you move?

Nicole: Oh, oh, oh, and somebody's not listening now, are they? You know what? Allie may not have been able to send you to prison, but your mother will, and in the meantime, you stay the hell away from her.

Belle: When I walked in here and I saw that Charlie had Claire cornered, I mean, I just--I lost it. It was like this primal instinct took over, and I could have killed him, Shawn. I think I said I would. I just-- I really wanted to. I still do.

Shawn: Okay, come on. Okay, listen, calm down, all right? Calm down. Let me take your coat off.

Belle: No, I don't want to take my coat off. I want to figure out what we're going to do about this.

John: You okay, Izzy?

Belle: No, I am not okay. What is going on? What are you doing here?

Marlena: Your dad had a run-in with Charlie.

Belle: So did I. He was just here.

John: Yeah, that's what he said. That lying little punk actually tried--

Marlena: Hold on, hold on. Tell us what happened.

Claire: I thought Charlie was a great guy. No, not great, perfect, incredible, the one. What the hell is wrong with me?

Allie: Hey, nothing is wrong with you.

Claire: The guy is deranged, Allie, and I'm inviting him to weddings and Christmas parties, telling everyone how amazing my new boyfriend is. I mean... how could I not have seen that he is a psycho?

Allie: Because he hid it, okay? That is what psychos do, Claire. They put on a really good act so that they can get you to trust them and maybe to even fall in love with them.

Claire: Well, I don't love Charlie. I hate him. And I want to make him pay. But our one and only chance might have disappeared when he deleted that confession.

Allie: Well, he also confessed to his mother, but Rafe said that she's not a credible witness.

Claire: Yeah, that's what my mom said, too. So, what, that's it? It's just over?

Allie: Not necessarily.

Claire: What do you mean?

Allie: Maybe it's time that I stop relying on everyone else to take Charlie down... and I just deal with him myself.

Ava: [Clears throat] You know, when I was... in the hospital, I had a pretty serious conversation with Nicole.

Rafe: Mm. About your future?

Ava: And my past. And she basically told me that if I don't--[Scoffs] If I don't make some big changes in my life, I'm going to jeopardize everything that matters to me, including my relationship with my son. I'm talking about Tripp, of course.

Rafe: Right.

Ava: [Sighs] You know, a mother is supposed to set a... a good example for her child, and I've just done the exact opposite. And yet he still cares for me, and he wants us to be close.

Rafe: You're his mother.

Ava: Yeah, but I didn't raise him. I didn't even know him at all, and yet he... he's so good to me. You know, he, uh--he loves me. And all I want--all I want is to be worthy of his love. So, I want to take this opportunity that I have been given, this second chance, and be a better person for my son.

Tripp: I did not like the way Charlie was talking just now.

Steve: Just forget it. He's full of it.

Tripp: He seemed pretty serious to me.

Steve: Tripp, he heard you say you wanted to be in Henry's life, and he lashed out. I guarantee you that punk wants no part of being a father.

Tripp: I don't know, Dad. I mean, given how much he hates all of us, I wouldn't be surprised if he just sued for custody out of spite.

Steve: They don't grant custody to rapists.

Tripp: But he got off because he told the cops that Allie lied. So, what's to stop him from telling a judge the same thing?

Charlie: What's with the suitcase? Where's my mother?

Nicole: She's not here, and I wouldn't tell you even if she was.

Charlie: FYI, Ava's not the victim here. In fact, everything that's happened is her fault.

Nicole: Oh, and it's her fault that you raped Allie?

Charlie: I wouldn't have met Allie if Ava hadn't sent me to London to spy on Tripp. She sent me overseas to follow him around like a dog. Do you have any idea how humiliating that was? How much damage that did? Ava's obsession with Tripp has ruined my life.

Nicole: No, I think you've done that all on your own.

Charlie: Tripp stole my mother's love from me, and now he wants to steal my son.

Nicole: What are you talking about?

Charlie: You know what? Just tell Ava if she thinks she's gonna testify against me, she has another thing coming.

Nicole: Like hell I will. The drugs you gave her almost killed Ava. She's having hallucinations still.

Charlie: That's because she's crazy. She's always been crazy. Why else would she choose Tripp over me? I am the devoted son. I'm the caring son. I'm the son that spent his entire life trying to make her proud. Tripp got everything, and I got nothing, and now he thinks he's going to raise my son? That's not going to happen.

Nicole: Why would Tripp want to raise Henry?

Charlie: I heard him say it... that Henry needed him, as if I'm not enough. I am enough! I would rather see Tripp dead than anywhere near my son. You know what? That's not a bad idea.

Nicole: Oh, my God. Did you just threaten to kill your own brother?

Charlie: Why not? With Tripp out of the picture, maybe Ava would finally have enough love for me. Huh.

[Suspenseful music]

Belle: I know Claire's heart was in the right place, but I made her promise to never take a risk like that again.

John: I wish I was the one that had walked in the door. I would have strangled the life out of him with my bare--

Marlena: John, John, please. Please, please, come on. Claire's asleep. Try to stay calm.

John: What the hell? He targeted both my granddaughters!

Belle: He's a sick son of a bitch--I get it. Dad, I am just as upset as you are. I mean, it is just terrifying what he has done to Allie and to Claire, and I am going to go to the courthouse tomorrow, and I will file a restraining order.

John: Oh, screw that. I'll restrain him myself.

Shawn: I guarantee you that the department will keep an eye on Charlie 24-7, all right? If he so much as takes a step in the wrong direction--

John: I'd rather just kill him, Shawn.

Marlena: John, John, look at me. Look at me. Look at me. Look at me. When you get all worked up, it's not good for your health. We need you healthy.

John: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Marlena: We all need you healthy.

John: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, okay, okay. Message received, Doc.

Marlena: Good. Thanks. Um, I think we'll be going. Uh, please tell Claire that I'm available to her anytime, 24-7, day or night.

Belle: I will. Thank you, Mom.

Marlena: Okay, darling.

Belle: You need to take care of yourself, okay?

John: Without a doubt.

Belle: Okay.

John: I love you, baby girl.

Belle: I love you, too, Dad.

Shawn: Hey, thank you both for coming by.

Marlena: Yes, of course. Let us know what happens in court, will you?

Belle: Mm-hmm.

Shawn: I'm gonna call Rafe. I'm gonna fill him in on everything that just happened.

Belle: Yeah, that's a good idea.

Shawn: Hey, would you do me a favor?

Belle: Yeah, sure. Name it.

Shawn: Would you go check on Claire, please?

[Dramatic music]

[Cell phone beeps]

Rafe: Oh, she's back.

Ava: Hey. Thanks for grabbing my stuff.

Nicole: Sure.

Rafe: Nicole, what's wrong?

Nicole: Um... nothing.

Rafe: Yeah, I can see that's not true.

Ava: Yeah, me too. What's going on?

Nicole: Uh... when I left your apartment, Charlie showed up?

Ava: What?

Rafe: My God.

Nicole: But I made it very clear that he is to stay away from you.

Rafe: Are you okay?

Nicole: I'm fine.

[Cell phone beeps]

Rafe: God, that dirtbag-- I'm going to arrest him for breaking and entering.

Nicole: No, no, no, no, wait. He didn't break in. I ran into him in the corridor.

Rafe: Okay. [Cell phone ringing] It's Shawn. I'll be right back. Hey. Yeah.

Ava: Are you really okay?

Nicole: Yeah. Charlie just startled me. That's all.

Ava: Of course. What did he want?

Nicole: I don't know. I mean, he was all worked up, ranting about Tripp.

Ava: Tripp?

Nicole: I don't know. He was just--he was incoherent. Don't worry about it, Ava.

Ava: Well, it's too late. I'm worried. I mean, what did he say?

Nicole: I just-- I don't want to upset you.

Ava: Okay, again, too late. Tell me. Tell me now.

Claire: What do you mean deal with Charlie yourself?

Allie: Do you remember what I did to Tripp when I thought he was the one who assaulted me?

Claire: Yeah, you took your grandma Kate's gun and almost shot him where it counts.

Allie: Yeah, and thankfully Tripp's mom stopped me, because it turns out he was innocent.

Claire: Even if she hadn't, I really don't think you ever would have gone through with it. Allie, what are you thinking?

Allie: I'm thinking... maybe I will now.

Steve: There is no way a judge is going to give Charlie custody of Allie's baby.

Tripp: They might if he lies.

Steve: Listen, like I said, he doesn't really care about Henry, and besides, he's on his way to prison for kidnapping your mother.

Tripp: Okay, we both know my mom's testimony won't be enough to put Charlie away. He has already convinced one judge that Ava is an unreliable witness.

Steve: But the judge didn't drop the charges.

Tripp: Still, they're just going to make my mom out to be crazy. I mean, she did say that she saw Charlie stab me to death in front of her.

Steve: She said that when she was drugged by Charlie.

Tripp: Another thing we haven't been able to prove.

Steve: The kid can't keep going like this. The road is going to end at some point.

Tripp: I don't see how, okay? And now he's going after Henry.

Steve: Well, if he does, he'll be laughed out of court.

Tripp: No, we don't know that, Dad. I mean, his lawyer could argue that Allie was an irresponsible party girl who went after Charlie when she was drunk, got pregnant, and then cried rape because she was embarrassed. And then she tried to give Henry up, but she got stuck with him, so she moved in with Nicole and lets her do all the work.

Steve: What are you talking about? None of that is true.

Tripp: Of course, it isn't, but Charlie can make the case that it is... and that for all those reasons, he's a better parent.

Steve: No judge would ever buy it.

Tripp: I'm not taking that chance, not with an innocent baby.

Steve: What can you do?

Tripp: I don't know, but I'm going to figure something out and fast.

Ava: Okay, there is no way that lunatic is going to hurt Tripp.

Nicole: Listen, as soon as Rafe gets off the phone, I will fill him in, and he will make sure that Tripp is protected.

Ava: Charlie made a serious threat.

Nicole: Okay, but we need to let the police handle it.

Ava: No. No, I'm sorry, but I'm going to handle it.

Nicole: Oh, God, what does that mean?

Ava: I brought Charlie into this world. Maybe I need to take him out.

Marlena: Your blood pressure is elevated.

John: Of course, it is. I can't stop thinking how that little bastard is getting away with what he did to our girls.

Marlena: I'm frustrated, too, but getting angry won't change anything. John, you've got to relax. I'm going to make you some tea.

John: Yeah, that sounds good.

[Dark music]

Shawn: All right. Okay. All right, thanks, Rafe. Wait. What is it? Is Claire okay?

Belle: She's gone.

Claire: Allie, you cannot do this.

Allie: I know where my grandma keeps her gun. I know where Charlie lives. Why shouldn't I do this?

Claire: Because they will put you in prison! Henry won't have a mother, and you won't have a future. Your life would be over.

Allie: Not if I get away with it.

Charlie: They're all out to get me. But they've got nothing. They can't stop me. [Breathing heavily] They can't take what's mine. No. Never. I won't let them.

[Pounding on door]

[Suspenseful music]

Charlie: Don't shoot.
