Marlena: [Chuckling] Oh, you were always such a sweet talker.
John: Yeah, well, soon, doc, I'm gonna be holding all of you, and that's not talk; that's a fact.
Marlena: Thank you.
John: For what?
Marlena: For realizing something was wrong and for trying to get me out of this godforsaken place. And for teaching me how to get out of a straitjacket.
John: Yeah. Well, you were an excellent student.
Marlena: Now we just have to get out of here.
John: It won't be long. Orderly's gonna come back soon with another round of needles and meds. So far, he's been serving me first. I'll neutralize him, grab his keys, break you out, and girl, we're gonna run.
Marlena: Well, you make that sound easy.
John: Come on, doc, you and me together, we're unstoppable.
Marlena: [Laughs] I'm a little worried about what we're gonna find when we get back to salem. I'm sure hattie is wreaking havoc there.
Hattie: Bonnie, listen to me. I'm doing the best I can here, you know? You left me with anjelica's corpse, and you went off running to have a nice time with justin. I happen to think that putting her body in bed with lucas was a much better idea than dragging it down the hall in a bag and trying to get it into my trunk. Well, how about a little gratitude here? Nicole: I'm about to be reunited with my daughter. And I know almost nothing about what she likes or doesn't like--
Brady: Yeah, but you're gonna have your whole life to figure that out; that's the fun part.
Nicole: Yeah. Yeah, we are.
Brady: Yeah, of course.
Nicole: But what if something goes wrong? I mean, what if there's some last-minute glitch or a fine print that I--
Brady: No, no.
Nicole: That I missed, or someone somewhere changes their mind? I know the judge awarded me custody, but he doesn't like me.
Brady: Judge thorpe made the only decision that he could. As far as the examination, it's routine. The pediatrician has it under control. Nothing's going to go wrong.
Nicole: How do you know that?
Brady: Just trust me. I just know.
Rafe: I think we've got our lead.
Hope: What is it?
Rafe: Look, it's a list of gdr assets the fbi froze when dario went on the run. Tbd's on there, a couple of his other business that I recognize. But look, look at this address.
Hope: It's just outside of salem.
Rafe: Exactly. It could be where raines has gabi.
Hope: Let's go.
Rafe: We're not too late.
Raines: You know way too much, my dear. I'm afraid you've become a liability.
Gabi: I won't say a word. Okay? I won't say anything. The tape, you destroyed it. So there's no evidence; there's nothing.
Raines: Except for you. You can't erase that tape from your mind.
Gabi: Yes, I can. I can--I can totally do that.
Raines: Baby, I'm sorry. Can't take that chance.

Nicole: You have this amazing way of making me feel like everything's gonna be okay.
Brady: Might have something to do with the fact that I... I love you so much.
Nicole: Thank you so much for coming.
Brady: Don't thank me. Where else would I be? I'm here for selfish reasons. Holly and I, we go way back. We have a serious game of peek-a-boo that is unsettled. It's intense.
Nicole: That's awesome.
Nicole: You were there the day she was born. You wouldn't even let a blizzard stop you. You left everything, even tate, to help us.
Brady: My plan is to be there for you and holly every single day.
Nicole: Brady, I love you so much.
Brady: Good. It's all good.
Nicole: What if I don't deserve this happiness? I mean, I-- I killed a man, brady, I--
Brady: Nic, nic, this... this is the day. This is the best day. You're getting the daughter of your dreams. Daniel's daughter. And you're gonna bring her home to this giant house full of love and with tate and maggie and sonny and paul, and we're gonna have a big, beautiful, noisy life.
Nicole: Yeah, you're right. You're right, I just... I'm not used to getting what i want, I guess, and I thought for sure the judge was gonna rule against me after I... broke the court order to stay away from holly. And if it wasn't for eric, I don't know what would have happened.
Brady: Um... I need to tell you about the truth of what went down with judge thorpe. Um... I have to--I have to talk to marlena, though. Excuse me. You all right?
Nicole: Yeah. Okay. I'll just wait in the exam room.
Brady: Marlena? Hi. I'm glad I caught you.
Marlena: Oh. This isn't a good time, though.
Brady: Please. Please, please, please. It's about dad. It's important.
John: You need to look like you're wearing your straitjacket so you keep the orderly's guard down.
Marlena: Yeah, okay, okay.
John: You know the route out of here in case we get separated, right?
Marlena: Don't even say that.
John: You know the route out of here. Tell me, doc; it's important.
Marlena: Okay. Uh... down the hallway is a staircase. I take the staircase down to the laundry area. From the laundry area, I go through there, and there's, uh, the loading dock. And once I get there, run like hell for the entrance.
John: Good girl.
Marlena: What if it doesn't work?
John: Hey, come on. Where's your optimism?
Marlena: Well, it got drugged, put in a straitjacket, and locked in a sanitarium.
John: Do you remember what i said to you once?
Marlena: Well, you've said a lot of things.
John: I said that I never existed until I saw myself in your eyes. I need you, doc. I need your optimism. I need you to know that we're gonna get out of here.
Marlena: We are going to get out of here. We've been in worse situations.
Marlena: We've been in dire straits.
Marlena: And the one thing that always got me through it was my faith in your heart and your soul and that... that never changes.
John: I love you, doc. Here we go.

Raines: What now? Don't tell me what the hell to do.
Eli: We know you're dario's partner. We got evidence to put you away for a long time.
Raines: So the keystone kops finally figured it out, huh?

Hattie: Do you have any idea how busy I am?
Brady: It won't take long.
Marlena: Uh, you should make an appointment. For next week.

[Soft dramatic music]

Hattie: All right, brady. What can I do for you?
Brady: It's about my father.
Marlena: Oh. Is this because I kissed roman?
Brady: You did what?
Hattie: Are you the last person on earth to know that?
Brady: Why would you kiss roman?
Hattie: Why wouldn't I? Because he was my first great true love.
Brady: Is--is that why you dumped my father?
Hattie: Now, look. I think that's-- that's kind of private. So if you want the details, you should ask your dad.
Brady: Well, if--if he got back to me, I would. But I haven't been able to see him or hear from him in a while. But anyway, I want to understand this; I want to hear this from you.
Hattie: Okay, fine. Short version. I just got over it. End of story. Come on, you should go now.
Brady: No way. Stop. Marlena, that--come on. That's ridiculous. The two of you, you share decades of life and love together.
[Stammering] My father loves you more than anything in the world. You understand that.
Marlena: Well, of--yes, I do, and that may well be true, but it doesn't mean that I love him anymore.
Brady: So, what? You're in love with roman now?
Hattie: Ah, smart boy. Okay, we're done here.
Brady: No, we're not. We're... we're not done here. Please, have a seat. I need to understand what's going on here.
Hattie: Okay. I'll make this simple. Sometimes when somebody loves somebody, and they get together, everything seems just fine. And then at some point, the person they love just decides they love somebody else, a lot. And they love somebody else that they--they just never got over.
Brady: Maybe they're just friends. Maybe they're friends, hm? I mean, you and--you and roman, you were friends before, right, for years?
Marlena: Yes. But see, the love never really went away. I've seen this happen with hundreds of my patients. It's the pull of that one, great, true first love. It just doesn't go away.
Brady: No, that's ridiculous. That's insane, okay? People--people get over their first loves all the time. True love is when you find someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Eric: What're you doing here? Shouldn't you be home with holly and--is everything okay?
Nicole: Oh, it's wonderful. Holly's just getting her final exam. There's nothing to worry about.
Eric: I'm really thrilled for you.
Eric: But I'm not so sure about the frog.
Nicole: Oh, I... I'm just so nervous, excited. I can't believe this is really happening.
Eric: Nobody deserves it more than you. I'll leave you to it.
Nicole: Wait, um... what are you doing here?
Eric: The horton center, they called about julie bates. It's an emergency.
Nicole: She's one of my favorite clients. You've always been such an advocate of hers. If you need any help, just let me know.
Eric: Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure. Right now I think you need to worry about being a great mommy.
Nicole: Thank you, again, for speaking up for me with the judge.
Eric: Well, that was only the truth, you know. And you brought such light to the center. You know, I should get going.
Nicole: [Gasps] My baby! Ohhh. Hi, sweetie, hi.

Hope: We have solid evidence against you. Your only choice is to cooperate with us, raines.

Eli: Luck has nothing to do with it. You're just not as smart as you think.
Raines: [Growling] Yeah, I bet you loving this, aren't you, brady?
Hope: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be provided. You understand the rights I just read-- you understand the rights I just read to you?

Marlena: Yeah, the plan. Leave you here? What am I, insane? Oh, sorry, that wasn't funny. I didn't mean to be funny.
John: Well, you know what? I guess this... I guess this beats holding hands through a vent.
Marlena: Yeah, yeah. Listen, they're gonna be back; you know that.
John: Well, in the meantime, let's just make the best of a bad situation.
Marlena: Oh, honey.
Hattie: A competent psychiatrist can see that you are totally projecting.
Brady: No, I'm not. We're talking about you.
Hattie: Are we?
Brady: Yeah, you betrayed my father. You broke his heart, and he's-- he's stood by you through every crisis your relationship has ever had.
Hattie: Well, I'm sorry that your father is hurt. But the sad fact is that, well, sometimes when one person follows their heart, somebody else gets hurt.
Brady: So you-- so you dump him?! It's cruel; it came out of nowhere.
Hattie: Well, I'm sorry that he got hurt. But you know what's even worse? Somebody who is clinging to a relationship once it's over. Oh... well. I think this conversation is tapping into some problems that you might be having with-- with nicole.
Brady: No, you're completely wrong about that.
Hattie: You got a little flop-sweat going on here, and your jaw's all clenched up--
Brady: No, it's not.
Hattie: And you're becoming very defensive. You know what? A good therapist could help you with that. Of course, that would not be me, but you could find some help. I think we've put a button on this, don't you?
[Laughs] Whew. That was kind of fun.
Nicole: [Gasps] Ohhh, my sweet, sweet girl.
[Cooing] Do you know how much mommy loves you? Huh, do you know? She's perfect, isn't she?
Eric: She is.
Nicole: Yes, she is. And I think she remembers me. Must've been all the pictures you took. Do you have any idea when the doctor will be here?
Oh, let me check on when to expect him.
Nicole: Okay. [Chuckling]
Eric: I don't think I've ever seen you so happy.
Nicole: Oh... I dreamed about this little girl. I wished for her, I lost her more than once, but now she's really here. Oh, my daughter, huh? I just hope I can be the mother she needs.
Eric: You risked your life more than once. You're gonna be a great mother.
Nicole: You risked your life for her too. I mean, if you hadn't saved us in greece...
Eric: In the past. Let's focus on the future. This beautiful little girl, the hope and love that she brings.
Nicole: I was such a jerk to in greece, and you tried to save my life, and holly'S. I was so hateful.
Eric: It's understandable. This little girl's father is dead because of me.
Nicole: Just let me finish, okay? The past few months at the horton center, I was horrible to you. I was rude, I froze you out, and you were so kind and patient.
Eric: And you forgave me. You gave me hope. I'm gonna miss you at the center.
Nicole: Yeah, well, at least now you can go back to tapping your pen on your desk and making all sorts of noise.
Eric: Yeah. There's that. And you go be a great mother to this beautiful little girl. +Nicole: Hey, thanks again. This wouldn't be happening without you. (Vo) more "doing chores for mom"
Brady: What are you doing?
Eric: Uh, wrong room. I'm here to meet a client, so, uh, let me get out of your way. Congratulations again.
Brady: Thanks, man. Wow. This is the prettiest picture I think I've ever seen in my life. She's the cutest little thing. We're gonna take you home.
Nicole: She's the miracle of my life, brady. I was sure the judge was gonna rule against me. I was just thanking eric for speaking on my behalf.
Brady: Yeah, good old eric, huh?
Nicole: You're upset.
Brady: No. I'm not. I'm not.
Nicole: Yes, you are. I can tell. And we said no secrets, remember? So what's going on?
Brady: All right, well this is gonna sound a little petty, but...
Brady: The thing is, eric-- eric was not the one that got holly back to you. It was me.
[Soft dramatic music]
Eric: You have a minute, mom?
Hattie: Sorry, no I don'T.
Eric: It's about something very important.
Hattie: Oh, don't start in with me.
Eric: What are you talking about?
Hattie: Brady was just here, giving me hell about his dad. And I am not about to go through round two.
Eric: Okay, we can talk about that later, but what I want to talk about is seeing a client of mine.
Hattie: Really? What is this, free therapy week?
Hattie: Wow, brady really upset you.
Marlena: Yeah, well, you know what? Brady needs to understand as well as you, and everybody else, that my mind is made up.
Eric: Mom, it's just that you and john have been together for many years.
Hattie: I know. And what I told brady was that sometimes, when somebody loves somebody for a long time that things seem to be fine, and then--wait, wait, wait. I'm not doing this again. Here's the thing. Brady had himself a little hissy fit. And between us, just psychiatrist and counselor, I think it was--I think it was bringing up issues in his own relationship.
Eric: You mean with nicole?
Hattie: I can't discuss that with you. That's confidential. But you're a bright fellow, and you can read between the lines, so I think you know what I mean.
[Phone ringing] Oh. Sorry. Uh, uh... I have to take this.
Marlena: [Grunting] I almost miss the straitjacket.
John: Well, at least we had a chance with those. But these damn things are impossible.
Marlena: What happened to your optimism?
John: I'm never giving up, doc.
Marlena: You wouldn't be john black if you did. John, are you angry because I didn't run?
John: Come on, doc, I never get angry with you. But... yeah, you shoulda run.
Marlena: 'Cause that's what you would do, you would-- you would just leave me tazed and unconscious, and you would just make a run for it and leave me here all by myself.
John: I came here to save you, baby.
Marlena: And you will. Because you always do.
John: Now we need a new plan.
Marlena: I've got complete faith in you.
John: I love you for that, baby, but one thing's for sure, we need to figure something out here, because they sure as hell are gonna find a new way to neutralize us. We got to be ready for it.
Brady: So I told judge thorpe that I knew deimos had bribed him to keep holly away from you.
Nicole: You didn'T.
Brady: I may also have suggested that I would ruin his career with the information if holly didn't get back to you.
Nicole: But we don't have any proof. I mean, except for deimos bragging about it.
Brady: He didn't know that.
Nicole: So you're saying I'm safe?
Brady: Oh, you're safe.
Nicole: I mean, unless anyone finds out that I--
Brady: Nic, nic, nic. Right now, this is-- this is about the future, okay? This is about her, this is about us, this is-- even this frog, which-- she loves it. She's been staring it. And tate's got a bunch of toys, and you can have all his toys, too. You're gonna share.
Nicole: Yeah. Well, goodness. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better...
Brady: All right, so just-- you're not upset, right?
Nicole: I'm overwhelmed. I mean, you have done so much. And since the night holly was born, I've never felt so protected and loved.
Brady: There's nothing in the world I wouldn't do for you.
Nicole: I love you, brady.
Brady: I think we need to have our first group hug. Ready? Here we come. All three of us, we're coming in.
Nicole: Oh, I love group hug.
Rafe: Yeah, we need an ambulance at 25 laurella avenue. Looks like a through and through.
Eli: You okay?
Eli: You are crazy brave.
Gabi: Or just crazy.
Eli: Gabi, look... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you.
[Phone ringing] I got to take this. It's my boss. Yeah? Yeah, we got raines. Not without a fight, but... yeah, mayor carver needs to be informed immediately.
Hope: Why? Why'd you do it?
Raines: Yeah, I wouldn't expect a brady to understand.
Hope: You're right. I don'T.
Raines: Don't lecture me about integrity. From a cop who shot a man multiple times at point blank range, and then hid her crime.
Hope: When I got back on the force, you did nothing but make it hard for me. And all this talk about good cops doing the right thing? And all that time, you were nothing but a crook.
Raines: Are we done?
Hope: No. I'm not. I promise you I will do everything in my power to make sure you're held accountable for every single crime you've committed.
Raines: [Grunting] Dang it! Ugh!
Hope: Let's go. Let's go!
Rafe: Here, got you this.
Gabi: Thank you.
Rafe: I'll have the emts take a look at you when they get here.
Gabi: I'm fine.
Rafe: Gabi, you're shaking. Okay? Don't argue with me.
Gabi: I'm gonna be fine. Okay? I'm just glad you guys showed up when you did.
Rafe: From the looks of raines' face, it looks like you got the best of him.
Gabi: Well, no one talks trash about my family.
Rafe: That's right, kid. That's right.
Eli: Is there anything that I can do?
Rafe: Don't you think you've done enough?! That shot you fired could've killed my sister. Many people clean their dentures
Eli: I did what I had to do.
Rafe: You played cowboy.
Eli: Cowboy?! I'm a trained marksman.
Rafe: If gabi or raines would've moved a millimeter, she'd've been in the line of fire.
Eli: I never would've taken the shot if I weren't confident that she wouldn't--
Rafe: You don't know that 100%, now do you?!
Eli: It was a calculated risk.
Rafe: With my sister's life.
Gabi: Rafe, that's enough. Raines was out of control. So as far as I'm concerned, eli saved my life. And I think what we need to be saying is thank you.
[Whispers] Thank you.
Nicole: Yes. You heard the doctor. You're the healthiest little girl ever. The cutest and smartest...
Brady: Just like her mommy. Hi, baby.
Nicole: Hey, do you think she has my eyes?
Brady: She definitely, definitely has your eyes.
Nicole: Oh, I'm so afraid I'm gonna wake up and this is all gonna be a dream.
Brady: Nope. It's as real as it gets.
Brady: You're gonna take her home, and no one's gonna ever take her away from you again. Speaking of home, hey, let's go home! You want to go home? You want to go home?
Nicole: Brady, I owe you everything. I am never gonna stop being grateful.
[Baby coos] Yeah.
Brady: I love you. Let's go.
Nicole: Let's go. Let's go, my sweet. Yes, yes, yes.
Hattie: What?! They've almost escaped? I've told you they were dangerous. Now we're gonna take this protocol to the next level. Hold on for a second.
Okay... I got to get them shut up once and for all. Oh, yes, okay, that might do it.
Hi, there. I'm back. Um, I understand that dr. Ross is away. Uh, so I need you to follow the next phase of treatment for these patients. Yes, okay, here's what I'm gonna have you do...
Marlena: I should've been quicker. If I'd been quicker, maybe I could've grabbed the taser.
John: No, honey, you did everything right.
Marlena: [Scoffs] Right. Our big, fat escape plan just made things worse.
John: We just got to come up with a new plan.
Marlena: Do you have one?
John: You know, the thing is, the longer we're in here... better chance we have of the folks back home figuring out something's wrong. And maybe these clowns in here will realize we've been telling the truth.
Marlena: Yeah, because we've made so many friends in here.
Just wanted to let you know. 'Cause of your escape attempt, the real dr. Evans would like to pursue a more... aggressive treatment.
Marlena: What does that mean?
First thing tomorrow morning you and mr. Black are scheduled for electroshock therapy.
