Episode #13102 ~ Chad & Gabi continue to grow closer; JJ & Lani learn disturbing news about the island; Abigail asks Raines to look into Dario's story; Kate makes a shocking move.
Provided By Suzanne
Raines: Someone's working late today.
Abigail: Oh, hi. I'm just on a roll here with this new filing system.
Raines: I wish all of my employees were as hard working as you are. You've proven yourself to be quite an asset, Abigail.
Abigail: Well, thank you very much.
Raines: Why don't you go home, finish this up tomorrow?
Abigail: Oh, no, no, I can stay, really. I need to be busy.
Raines: Is everything okay?
Abigail: Actually, no. I have a friend, Dario Hernandez.
Raines: Rafe's brother.
Abigail: He's in trouble. At least, that's what he told me.
Raines: What kind of trouble?
Abigail: He says that if he goes to Mexico, there's a drug lord named el fideo that will have him killed. Do you really think that that could happen?
Raines: Well, do you think he would lie to you?
Abigail: I don't know, I hope not. I have an attorney looking into it, but he just wasn't sure how long it would take.
Raines: Mexico, huh? I have a few connections down there. Let me make some calls.
Abigail: Really? You would do--you can do that?
Raines: Can't promise anything, though.
Abigail: Well, thank you very much, commissioner Raines. I appreciate that.
Raines: Absolutely welcome.
[Door handle shuffles]
Kate: Finally. You were supposed to be here a half hour ago. I've been taking a closer look at this Randall acquisition, and I really think... you look like you've seen a ghost.
André: I have some bad news.
Kate: What is it?
André: Chad... he left Greece on a titan plane. Seems to have disappeared.
Sonny: Hey, Paul. Where'd you go? Paul? Paul?
Lani: You guys.
Lani: Thank god, you're here.
Chad: What's up?
JJ: Where are Sonny and Paul?
JJ: Where are Sonny and Paul?
Chad: I don't know. What's up? Where? Uh, well, they went fishing. Is everything okay?
Lani: No, it's not.
JJ: This island, it's a bit more dangerous than we thought.
Lani: You guys are never gonna believe what we found.
JJ: A skull.
Gabi: Like, an animal skull?
Lani: No, it's human, and it was bashed in.
Gabi: My god.
Chad: So where was it?
Lani: Just over there a ways.
JJ: Yeah, and we searched the entire area to see what else we can come up with. We came across an abandoned shelter.
Chad: Like, can we use it?
JJ: No, there's no way, man. It looked like an animal tore this place apart.
Lani: We also found this diary.
JJ: We thought it might hold some clues. If it has anything to do with the skull, who knows? Maybe we can find out what happened to this person.
Chad: Well, so, all right, what are we waiting for?
Abigail: Hey, working up a sweat, huh?
Dario: Yeah, it's really hot in here. There must be something wrong with the ac.
Abigail: Well, I will look into that first thing tomorrow. You put the crib together, I see.
Dario: Yeah, almost done. I just have to lock in a couple more pieces, and I think you'll be good to go.
Abigail: Dario, you didn't have to do this. I mean, not that I don't appreciate it--
Dario: No, no, I like doing this kind of stuff. It's fun. You know, this one time, I had to put this dresser together for Gabi, and right when I thought I was finished, I realized there was another box of screws left over, and I had to take the whole thing over again. I really hope I didn't do that this time.
Abigail: Oh, me too. Look, Dario, I'm still not sure that--
Dario: I know, I know. Please, I don't want you to see this, me putting the crib together, as putting any more pressure on you to go through with the marriage, because it's not. You know, like I said before, you can back out at any time. That was the deal.
Dario: I'm doing this as your friend. I don't--I don't have any ulterior motives. Is there something on your mind?
Abigail: Actually, yeah. I went and I spoke to my lawyer today.
Dario: Oh, yeah?
Abigail: And he said it's gonna be at least six months before the divorce is final, and that's after Chad signs the papers, which he hasn't done yet, so.
Dario: Six months. Abby, I don't-- I don't have six months. I'll be deported, and then I--I'll be dead.
Kate: Well, there has to be some explanation. A plane doesn't just disappear, and--
André: Kate. We need to prepare ourselves.
Kate: No, no, no, no, you don't even say that. Call the FAA.
André: I've already done that. An extensive search is underway.
Kate: When did they last have contact with the plane? Where exactly were they?
André: Well, the last communication was on the southern coast of Greece shortly after take-off. They're searching that part of the Mediterranean for any signs of a debris field.
Kate: Oh, my god. This cannot be true. Chad needs--he needs to be here. Thomas needs him. His family needs him. His friends need him.
André: Unfortunately, some of his friends were on board this plane.
André: Sonny and Paul, JJ, Eli grant, Gabe's daughter Lani, and... and Gabi.
Kate: Gabi. Gabi was on the plane? If anything happens to Gabi and Sonny, Arianna has no one.
André: Let me get you a cup of--
Kate: Oh, god. This is Deimos. This has Deimos' fingerprints all over it.
André: Now, now, now, wait a minute. Going after Deimos is not going to accomplish anything. Let's just wait until we hear from the search team.
Kate: You know, I think I'm understanding why you're so calm here. This all works to your advantage, doesn't it?
André: What are you talking about?
Kate: Well, what I'm talking about? If Chad is out of the picture, you inherit the entire DiMera fortune, right? Well, you must just be thrilled, André.
Dario: Oh, oh, Thomas got you good this time, didn't he?
Abigail: Kid just loves to spit his pureed peas all over me. What are you reading?
Dario: I'm actually doing some research... on divorce. Did you know that in the Dominican republic there's no waiting period? You and Chad could be splitsville in less than 24 hours.
Abigail: Wow, that is awfully fast.
Dario: Fast is all I got, Abby.
Jennifer: Am I interrupting something?
JJ: "So a few days after the wedding, Kyle and I packed up the necessities and left."
Gabi: Wait, hold on. Why would they get married and then move to a deserted island? That doesn't seem odd?
Chad: All the resorts were booked in Hawaii.
JJ: It says here they wanted to go off the grid.
Lani: Then they definitely picked the right place.
JJ: Hey, you guys, listen to this. "May 6th, 2007. Last Thursday when Kyle and I were at the beach, he was bitten by a mosquito. We didn't think anything of it at the time because we both had been getting bitten, but something has been off ever since. He has a fever. Can't sleep. He has these terrible mood swings and hallucinations. I don't know what to do. Every time I try to help him, he gets violent. I'm scared. This man is not my husband. This man is an animal."
Gabi: Oh, my god.
Lani: Wait, is that it?
JJ: "May 9th, 2007. Kyle attacked me again. He's been having these episodes, these fits of rage. I've never seen anything like it. One minute he's the caring, loving man I married, the next, he's a savage beast. Dr. Stahl arrived today. Thank god, we still have contact with the outside world. He diagnosed Kyle with something called jungle madness."
Chad: Wait, hold on. Jungle madness, why does that sound so familiar?
JJ: Yeah, it does.
Chad: My father mentioned something about that. That's what peter had, my brother.
JJ: And now that you mention that, I do remember that.
JJ: He tried to kill my parents when he was on one of his rampages.
Gabi: Then what happened?
Chad: Well, eventually he was cured, but it took quite a while for him to recover.
JJ: Jungle madness. I never thought I would hear those words again.
Lani: Well, this island, I mean, it's not exactly a jungle.
Chad: Well, maybe it just-- it takes a while to spread, like west Nile, Zika.
Gabi: I wonder what happened to the couple?
Lani: If that skull was any indication, I think we already know.
Gabi: JJ, keep reading.
Abigail: No, come in. I had to take a shower because Thomas spit up on me.
Dario: Hey, Jennifer.
Jennifer: Could I talk to my daughter alone for a minute?
Dario: Of course. I will go downstairs, get something to eat.
Jennifer: Okay. You two look very cozy.
Abigail: It's not what you think, Mom. It's just an arrangement.
Jennifer: An arrangement? What does that mean?
Abigail: If I tell you something, do you promise you can keep it a secret?
Jennifer: I know I'm gonna regret this, but, okay. I won't say a word.
Abigail: Dario is in a predicament.
Abigail: He's being deported, so I have agreed to marry him.
Kate: Well, this is quite a stroke of luck for you, isn't it? Chad's eliminated, and the entire DiMera empire just slips right into your lap.
André: Oh, Kate, heaven's sake.
Kate: You have always been coldhearted and calculated. You're the one who should have been on that plane, not him.
André: I said that's enough!
Kate: You resented him. You've always resented him because he was Stefano's favorite.
André: Kate, I said that's enough! I'm devastated right now, not just because Chad is my brother, my one surviving brother that I've grown to love dearly, but also because of his precious little boy. You said to me earlier that I looked like I'd seen a ghost. Do you think I was rejoicing? What the hell is the matter with you?
Kate: I'm sorry I was-- I'm sorry.
André: Yeah, I've had issues with Chad in the past, and, yes, upholding father's legacy is very important to me as CEO of DiMera enterprises, but nothing's more important to me than my brother's life.
Kate: He's like a son to me. He loved Thomas so much. André, what are we gonna do?
André: We're doing... everything we can. We can't give up hope. We're going to find him.
JJ: "Even though the disease is rare, dr. Stahl said he knew the cure, but in order to obtain it, he would have to leave the island."
Gabi: Why'd you stop? What's going on?
Lani: Yeah, what does it say?
JJ: "He never had a chance. My husband murdered him, and now I know he's coming for me next."
Gabi: Wait, that's it?
JJ: That's it.
Lani: What happened to her?
Chad: Well, we can probably guess.
Lani: Oh, my god.
Gabi: Okay, was it her skull you guys found or the doctor's?
JJ: I don't know, but since it was bashed in pretty good, I'm guessing it's not the husband's.
Gabi: Oh, so you mean he's still alive? You think he's out there? Oh, my god! What if he's out there watching us right now? What if he's going to do something to us?
Chad: Stop, stop, stop. It was ten years ago, it was ten years ago. Gabi, all right, if he wasn't treated, there's no way he survived this long. Hell, it almost got my brother, and he was treated.
JJ: Yeah, yeah, Chad's right. I don't think we have to worry about this Kyle guy.
Gabi: Yeah, but we do have to worry about mosquitoes.
Chad: Mosquitoes? I haven't seen any mosquitoes around here. Well, it's-- we're getting worked up for nothing. It's gonna be fine.
Gabi: No, everything will not be fine, everything will not be fine, okay, not until we get off this damn island.
Kate: Just a splash. We should have heard from them by now.
[Cell phone chirps]
Kate: Kate Roberts. Yes, Mr. Shin, how are you? No, we know about the missing plane. Well, thank you for the concern. What? Are you serious? I don't give a damn what the board thinks. I will not let that happen.
André: Should I ask?
Kate: Oh, my god. More bad news.
Abigail: So since he was technically born in Mexico, they want to deport him. If he doesn't marry a U.S. Citizen, then they're gonna send him back.
Jennifer: And he doesn't want that?
Abigail: To go back to Mexico? No, I mean, why would he want that? His home is here in Salem, mom. His brother, his sister are here. His job is here.
Jennifer: You're here.
Abigail: That is not why he wants to stay.
Jennifer: Are you sure about that?
Abigail: Yes, mom, I am sure. And even if it was, does it make him a terrible person that he cares about me, that he thinks that my friendship is important?
Jennifer: Abigail, he looks at you as more than a friend.
Abigail: No, he doesn't, mom. Look, I have made it very clear to him that I'm not interested in a relationship with him. I mean, first of all, way too soon for me to even think about getting involved with anybody, and-- why are you looking at me like that?
Jennifer: Why do you think? Because I can't believe that you would marry Dario Hernandez so that he doesn't get deported. I can't even imagine that he would expect that of you.
Abigail: Why, mom? Why? We expect favors of each other all the time, unless, do you not believe in helping out a friend?
Jennifer: Yes, I do believe in helping out a friend, but this is not a favor. You marry someone because you love them and you want to spend the rest of your life with them.
Abigail: Yeah, Jennifer Horton, that is what you do under normal circumstances, but if Dario Hernandez doesn't marry a U.S. Citizen, then he's gonna--
Jennifer: He will get deported, I understand that.
Jennifer: So, you know what, let's find him another U.S. Citizen because it's not going to be you.
Jennifer: No, please, I am sorry for what he's going through. I really am, but, honey, he is not your responsibility. Your plate is full. You just walked out on your husband. You have a son. You have a job.
Abigail: I know that, mom. Jeez. But I also--I have a friend that's done a lot for me, and I feel like I owe him.
Jennifer: You feel like you owe him, honey? No, yes, maybe you owe him an appreciation. Maybe you owe him a thank you note. Not your hand in marriage.
Abigail: A thank you note. Wow, okay, you really just don't get it, do you?
Jennifer: Oh, no, I really do get it because I bet that this was his idea, right?
Abigail: Yeah, it was, but so what? All he did was ask.
Jennifer: Yeah, and you are a tenderhearted, sweet young woman, and he knew you wouldn't say no.
Abigail: That is so insulting, mom. I could have said no, but I didn't want to because you can downplay it all you want, but the fact of the matter is that man has done a lot for me. He's been here ever since I got back to Salem. He's been very supportive, and he's been very kind. He was there through all of my panic attacks, through all of the Chad stuff, and I don't want to let him down.
Jennifer: Well, you're just fine letting your family down?
Abigail: That is so not fair.
Jennifer: Really? Abigail, this is not the solution.
Abigail: Why? Mom, it's not like this is gonna be forever, okay? We're gonna get married, he's gonna get his papers, and then we're gonna get a divorce.
Jennifer: My god, you're making this sound so simple. Do you understand this could be years and years, and that it is highly illegal?
Abigail: Mom, I owe him.
Jennifer: You keep saying that. You don't owe him anything. You marry someone because you love them, not because it's a convenience or you're promising someone a green card.
Abigail: Well, mom, you know what? I might not ever find love again, not after Chad.
Gabi: Listen to me. I cannot die here. I can't be here. I have to be with Arianna. I have to be with my baby. I have to be in my bed.
Chad: You know, I get it. I understand you want to go home, all right, but you getting worked up like this is just gonna make other people upset, and it's not gonna get us out of here any quicker.
Gabi: No, this is all your fault, this is all your fault. If you just got rid of that stupid amulet when I told you to.
Chad: It's not my fault. Okay, here we go again.
Gabi: Oh, god, I'm so sick of your skepticism, always treating me like I'm some sort of crazy person when I know that it's bad luck.
Chad: Look, I'm not gonna argue with you about this.
Gabi: I cannot believe this. I cannot believe that money is more important to you than people, than our lives.
Chad: Money? Money? I cared-- no, I cared about your lives, but it's a lot of money so I'm sorry I'm not gonna give it up over some ridiculous superstition.
Gabi: Can you not see what's happening here? The skull. The diary. Deadly mosquitoes. I mean, what is it gonna take for you to see that that thing is cursed.
Lani: We have got to get off this island. I did not sign up for dead people and diseases I've never heard of.
JJ: Okay, let's hope Eli has some luck getting that satellite phone to work. That's probably gonna be our best bet.
Sonny: Hey, have you all seen Paul?
JJ: I thought he was with you.
Sonny: He was, but we found this place to fish on the other side of the island. I left for literally two minutes to go pick some fruit. When I got back, he was gone. No sign of him anywhere.
Chad: That's strange.
Sonny: I mean, where the hell could he be? please, you have so much to offer. You're gonna find someone to love again, but not if you're in this sham marriage. And what about Chad? Have you even considered his feelings in this decision?
Abigail: Of course, I have, mom, and that's gonna be the hardest part is keeping the truth from him, but, I mean, but who am I kidding? Mom, he's already moved on with Gabi. They're both in Greece together, by the way, did you know that?
Jennifer: I know that, but this is not about Gabi. It's about you. It's about Thomas. How is this gonna affect Thomas?
Abigail: I think that Dario would be a great step-dad when we're living together. Thomas already adores him, and it would be really great to have another man in his life.
Jennifer: Honey. Okay, let's say that you're right, and Dario raises Thomas as his own, and they develop this incredible bond between each other.
Abigail: They already have. They have.
Jennifer: Okay, so what happens when Dario disappears after a couple of years? Where does that leave Thomas after he has attached himself to this man?
Abigail: Mom, I'm gonna make that transition as easy as possible. Look, Dario's my friend. It's not like he's just gonna disappear. Even if we don't live together, he's still gonna be a part of Thomas' life.
Jennifer: You're being so naive. What happens when the authorities find out about this sham marriage? Do you realize you could go to prison?
Abigail: Mom, please. Look, if I don't-- if I don't do this... they're gonna kill him.
Jennifer: What? Are you telling me that his life is in danger?
Abigail: A few years ago, he crossed some people that are affiliated with a drug lord named el fideo, and apparently, the guy's got eyes all over Mexico, and he said if he ever sets foot on Mexican soil, he's gonna kill him.
Jennifer: Well, isn't that just so convenient. Do you think Dario, considering the way he feels about you, you think maybe he exaggerated the story a little bit so that you would marry him?
Abigail: I have considered that, yes.
Jennifer: So I am begging you, please, let me just look into this. Let me see what I can find out, please.
Abigail: Okay, I guess it can't hurt. I mean, I did-- I have a few other people that are following up on it.
[Cell phone chirping]
Abigail: That could be them. Hello?
Raines: Abigail. Commissioner Raines.
Abigail: Oh, hi.
Raines: I made those calls to my guys in Mexico. The story checks out. Dario Hernandez is wanted by more than one cartel. Abigail?
Abigail: Oh, yeah, thank you very much, commissioner Raines.
Raines: No problem.
Abigail: It's true. Dario is telling the truth.
Kate: So Hong Kong knows about the missing plane, and the timing couldn't be worse. There's the annual CEO vote tomorrow which was supposed to be a formality for Chad, but now--
André: Why, are the board members in chaos?
Kate: No, they're past that. They're writing his obituary.
André: The sons of bitches.
Kate: Mr. Shin thinks that without stable leadership, the company would be rendered inept. Vulnerable.
André: Well, they can elect me in the interim.
Kate: That's not gonna happen.
André: Why not? I've proven myself more than capable. No one's worked more closely with Chad than I have.
Kate: Perhaps, but the truth is the board doesn't trust you. They think you are, these are not my words, mentally unstable.
André: Is that what Mr. Shin said, that I was mentally unstable? Well... that imperious moron is going to hear from me.
Chad: So Gabi and I will stay here in case Paul shows up.
Sonny: We'll search the rest of the island.
Gabi: Please, be safe, and good luck, guys.
Lani: Thank god, you're okay.
Paul: Of course, I am. Why wouldn't I be?
Sonny: I thought something happened to you. Where did you go?
Paul: I was cleaning the fish, and then I got a little nauseated so I went down to the lagoon. I got some fresh water. I walked it off. I'm totally fine now.
Paul: You don't look fine. Here, have some water.
Gabi: He's fine.
Paul: I'm good, okay?
Gabi: Okay, good.
Sonny: You know, I went down to the lagoon. I looked all over the area. Why didn't I see you?
Paul: Well, you got me. I guess I--I guess we just missed each other.
Sonny: I guess so.
Gabi: Yeah, what's important is that he's okay. He's okay.
Sonny: Don't you ever scare me like that again. Come here.
Paul: I'm here, Sonny. I'm here.
Chad: Hey, hey, hey. Why don't you guys go get a cardboard slab somewhere?
André: My temperament? I'll tell you what, Mr. Shin, I shall see you at the next board meeting, and you can witness my very agreeable temperament firsthand.
Kate: A mentally stable response if I ever heard one.
André: This is my father's company. I should be in control. That's the way he would have wanted it.
Kate: Unfortunately, what Stefano would or wouldn't want is a moot point now since he's no longer around. I think our only choice is for me to throw my hat into the ring.
André: Yeah. That would be quite fortuitous.
Kate: I don't want this. The only reason I would be doing it is to hold the position until Chad returns.
André: Yes, well, that's all well and good in theory, but there's one glaring obstacle.
Kate: And what would that be?
André: You are not a DiMera.
Kate: Oh, my god. You can't be serious.
André: I'm dead serious, and so are the members of the board. I don't know if you've been privy to some of the same conversations I've heard, but they're more than willing to dismantle this company and sell it off piecemeal if there is not a DiMera at the helm.
Kate: Well, that's not fair.
André: Well, is anything fair in this world anymore, Kate? This could very well be the end of my father's company.
Abigail: If I don't do something, they're gonna kill him, mom.
Jennifer: Abigail, look at me, please. You have such a big heart. I mean, that's who you are, but you cannot get in the middle of this. It's a bad idea, especially if Dario has a target on his back.
Abigail: Mom, I understand that you don't agree with me, but I would really love to know that you have my back and that you support me.
Jennifer: No, no, I don't support you, but I will keep this secret.
Dario: It's me. Can I come in?
Dario: I don't know how to say this, but--
Abigail: It's the deportation? I told my mom.
Dario: No, it's... I spoke to Rafe and he said that the plane, Sonny's plane, it's missing.
Jennifer: Oh, dear god. What?
Dario: Gabi and JJ and Chad were on board.
Sonny: Are you sure you're okay?
Paul: I told you--
Sonny: You don't look great, Paul.
Paul: I'm fine, I'm fine.
Sonny: You know, I think we should just take a break, lie down for a little bit, drink some water.
Paul: I don't need to lie down, and I don't need water.
Sonny: Okay, I'm just trying to help you.
Paul: Okay. Yeah, I don't want to argue any more, Sonny. You know, we did that earlier.
Sonny: Okay, you're right. I'm sorry. I just need you to promise me that you'll tell me if you're feeling sick again.
Paul: It's a deal. Let's-- let's go see about those fish.
Sonny: Okay, yeah.
Gabi: I just miss her. I miss her a lot. I miss Arianna.
Chad: Yeah, I know. I miss Thomas too, but at least I know Abigail's there to take care of him.
Gabi: Yeah, yeah, but at least he's still young, and he doesn't know what's going on. Arianna already lost will, and now Sonny and I are gone. Chad, I have to get back to her. Okay? I just have to get back.
Kate: There has to be some way around this, something that we haven't considered.
André: I don't know, Kate. I think the writing's on the wall.
Kate: We just need a temporary fix, that's it, so that when Chad returns, I mean, if he comes back and finds out that the company is sold, it will destroy him. It's his legacy. It's Thomas' legacy. He's put his heart and soul into this company. So have we all.
André: I just don't think there's any DiMera that can fulfill that position of CEO. I mean, Theo and the grandchildren, either they're too young or they're just inexperienced in the field to qualify for that position.
Kate: Such a shame that I'm not-- I've got it.
André: What, what, what is it?
Kate: André DiMera, will you marry me?
Jennifer: Okay, Carla, please let me know if you hear anything. Okay, I will.
Abigail: What did she say?
Jennifer: The plane lost contact shortly after it left Athens. Oh, god, JJ. I can't do this again.
Abigail: No, no, mom. No, I know, but, mom, we're not gonna lose him, okay, because that plane could still be in flight. There's no record of it going down, so this could just be a technical glitch, okay?
Dario: Please, god... let Gabi be okay.
Abigail: I know you have a really good heart, and you're a loyal person and a great dad. I know that being a devoted father to our son is the most important thing in the world to you.
Chad: You left out the most important part.
Chad: Just how much you mean to me. Not just because you are my wife or the mother of my son, but because I really like you. I really like you, very, really. That's not your fight.
Abigail: No, but it is, and I need you to know that I think it's really important for me to be a part of this. I belong to this family, and, you know, like it or not, I belong to you.
Chad: I like it.
Gabi: Sorry, I'm sorry, I just can't stop thinking about Arianna.
Chad: Of course you can't. You don't have to apologize for nothing.
Gabi: You know, I signed her up for swim lessons over the summer.
Chad: You're kidding me.
Gabi: She's been begging me. She's been practicing in the bath tub.
Chad: That's the most adorable thing I've ever heard.
Gabi: She's so cute, I mean, she's even got her flutter kick down.
Chad: Oh, she made freestyler, huh?
Gabi: Yeah, I think she might be.
Chad: Thomas is gonna be a baseball player.
Gabi: Surprise, surprise there.
Chad: Yeah, I know, but you should have seen him the other day. He had this sippy cup in his hand and his grip on it was so tight it was like a vice grip, and he just wound up, and he whipped that thing. Nearly took my head off. It was about 90 miles per hour.
Gabi: Oh, yeah?
Chad: Yeah. The cubs are calling him.
Chad: I told him he's got to get out of diapers before he starts trying out for the majors, though. It's dad's rule.
Gabi: Dad's rule for sure.
Chad: Yeah. We're gonna get out of here. We're gonna see them. Soon, I promise.
Sonny: Maybe I should do the gutting this time, in case you get queasy again.
Paul: I told you, I'm fine. Okay, if I need any help, I'll give you a shout.
Lani: I hope Eli comes back soon. He's gonna miss out on some good fish.
Gabi: Yeah, he's been gone for a pretty long time, hasn't he?
JJ: Ah, looks like we're eating good tonight.
Paul: Yeah, you got that right.
JJ: Hey, is that blood? Did you cut yourself or something?
Paul: Oh, yeah, that must have happened when I was gutting the fish earlier.
JJ: Oh, okay. If you need any help...
Paul: I got it.
JJ: All right, I sure am hungry.
Lani: Me too. How about I set the table.
Chad: What table?
Lani: Oh, right. We are kind of lacking a table, aren't we?
Chad: Yeah, I'm thinking we're gonna have to eat on our laps for a little while.
