(Part is missing in the middle...)
Eric: Dad, would you please sit down and take it easy? You just got out of the hospital.
Roman: Hey, son, I had an allergic reaction not a heart attack, so relax.
Jennifer: Oh, roman, I cannot thank you enough for letting us have the fundraiser here.
Roman: Closing down the place for an event like this, come on. Keeps the pub right in the center of things. My pleasure.
Jennifer: Hey, does anyone know how much money we made?
Eric: $8,000, plus $6,000 in pledges.
Jennifer: [Gasps] What? That's incredible! I mean, the center can really use that.
Eric: Yeah, it was a nice surprise.
Roman: Well, not a surprise to me. The reason today was a big success is, uh... because you two make a great team.
Dario: Well, what the hell does that mean that you probed?
Myron: For flaws in their online security. I slipped past their firewall like it was greased. The chandler corporation won't know anyone was there until they--next audit.
Dario: So how much can we get?
Myron: I'm not sure yet, but it'd be a lot more than we siphoned off of Lucas Horton's company.
Dario: Hmm. Countess Wilhelmina. That was a sweet score. Even sweeter because it was a DiMera. So chandler corporation is...
Myron: All I need is a green light.
Dario: I'm gonna make my father proud. I'm gonna turn this company into a real powerhouse while he's gone. Grandes sueños, grandes dinero. Big dreams, big money, Myron. Go for it. Clean them out.
Hope: Hey, hi.
Rafe: There she is. I thought maybe you forgot.
Hope: Are you kidding me? We both have the day off. How often does that happen?
Rafe: Eh, not often enough. Listen, here's the thing.
Rafe: I'm supposed to meet Dario and Gabi for a little family lunch. You know, ever since my father got arrested, things have, uh... well, they haven't been great, so we're trying to get things back on track, and when my mom and dad were here, we used to meet at least once a week, get together, have a meal.
Hope: Sounds like fun.
Hope: Well, I hope it all works out. I--yeah, I--so maybe after we could get together? Take in a movie? Walk? Something.
Rafe: Yeah, I was actually hoping you'd come with me.
Hope: I thought it was, you know, a family thing.
Rafe: Yeah. Well, as far as I'm concerned... you're family.
[Soft romantic music]
Marlena: Arian's getting so big.
Marlena: This will go right up on the refrigerator when I get home.
Gabi: Oh, that's great. She's gonna love it when she visits. Excuse--excuse me one second.
Julie: So I now keep my medication right by the coffee pot so there's no chance I'll forget to take it.
Valerie: Excellent. Your checkup went quite good, but do avoid stress, and I'd advise not more than one cup of coffee per day. Caffeine isn't--
Julie: Thank you so much, doctor. I'm recovered now, and I'll see you in a month or so.
Valerie: Uh... yes. Okay. Hey.
Valerie: You already set to go?
Marlena: I am. I am so hungry!
Valerie: Oh, my goodness, I stay hungry.
Valerie: Can't wait. Okay.
Snake: Call, bitch. Three of my gummies or one bullet. What's it gonna be, hmm?
Lani: Three will kill me.
Snake: You gotta choose.
Open your mouth. Open your mouth.
Snake: That's good, baby. Sweet dreams, Tanya.
JJ: Police! Drop the gun! Hands in the air!
Snake: Well, now, look who is here. [Laughs] Wow!
Gabi: I heard your checkup went really well.
Julie: Eavesdropper. You can add that to your resume.
Gabi: [Sighs] Of course, we both know that there was nothing wrong with you, that you faked your heart attack.
Julie: You think it was imaginary?
Gabi: Imaginary, yeah, we can call it that. I just--
Julie: And I call that bold talk from a convicted murderer. Isn't your father on his way to prison even as we speak?
Gabi: This isn't about my father or me. Just wanted to give you fair warning.
Julie: You don't have to warn me. You see, I know what you are, and the sooner my grandson knows, the better.
Gabi: Julie, you know what? I'm gonna need you to butt out starting today, starting right now, okay? Because if you don't, I'm gonna tell Eli that you faked the heart attack. I wanna know what he thinks about that.
JJ: There's no way out of this, snake. Backup's already on the way. No one has to die here, so let her go.
Snake: Shut your punk-ass mouth, baby! All right? This girl here you wanna save? I mean, I can stand here and talk to you all day, but she can't.
Lani: He just made me take a triple dose of halo, okay? And... I'm feeling it.
Snake: Yeah. Yeah, it's too late. So what you're gonna do now is you're gonna put the gun down on the ground and then I'm gonna walk this girl right out that door. Or we can just stand here till she drops and have ourself a little shoot-out, junior.
Snake: What do you think?
Lani: JJ, don't do it.
Lani: JJ. JJ!
JJ: I'll play your game.
JJ: I said--
JJ: No one else has to die.
Lani: No, he's lying! [Groaning]
Snake: Now give it a good kick, JJ. Kick it, JJ! All righty then. Step aside. Let's do-si-do, brother. Move, move, move! [Yelling]
JJ: Lani, go! Go! Throw it up! Throw it up! Go!
Snake: [Groaning] [Laughs] [Yells]
Eric: To the center...
Jennifer: Hear, hear.
Eric: Today's big winner.
Jennifer: To the center. Yes!
Jennifer: Huge winner.
Eric: Your grandparents would be so proud of what you've done.
Jennifer: Mm, yes, for recruiting you to take charge of the place. You've already helped so many people.
Eric: Eh. Oh, speaking of which, I spoke to a woman yesterday, a single mother-- two children, two jobs, tough life.
Jennifer: Yeah. But I get the feeling you made it all okay.
Eric: Well, I spent about 20 minutes trying to lift her spirits. She said, "I can't believe such a kind person like you works at a pizza place."
Eric: "Can I get two pepperoni and meatball sandwiches?"
Jennifer: What, she dialed the wrong number?
Jennifer: [Laughs] Did you tell her that she made a mistake?
Eric: No, I didn't have the guts. I just took down her address and put in the order for her after we hung up.
Jennifer: That's amazing. You're amazing. That is a great story.
Eric: [Laughs] Yeah, I'm gonna have to remember that on my next fundraiser speech.
Victor: How dare you.
Hope: Well, I just--well, I just want to say thank you for including me in your family meal. Looks great.
Rafe: Well, this is great. This is--this is-- this is really great, Dario, thanks.
Hope: Yeah. I'm starving. It looks so wonderful.
Gabi: Yeah, me too. I'm not gonna share this, so... this is mine.
Rafe: Okay. All right, why don't we just stop right here. Dario, I know you hate what I did, arresting our father. You've made that very clear. I thought that I made it clear as well, but maybe that didn't register with you-- how much I hated it.
Dario: Oh. So that makes it okay? That--that you hated it?
Rafe: You know, I wish that Mami and Eduardo were here with us today. That's why I asked them to set the table for six instead of four. Those seats represent the people that I wish were here.
Dario: Except dad can't be here because he is behind bars.
Rafe: No, he can't be here. But if he were here, he would say he's taking his responsibilities like a man. Okay? Now, I am the oldest in this family, so it's my job to look after everyone. Our father is in prison, okay? That's just the way it is. We're all suffering now, all right?
Dario: No, no. Hold on one second. You have your woman. You have your job. You're not spending any lonely nights behind bars. You're not suffering. You're doing just fine.
Gabi: I--I'm sorry.
Paulson: Police! Stay down! Stop moving!
Paulson: Hands behind your back.
JJ: All right, take him. Overdose! Lani!
Raines: Hey, where's Lani?
Raines: You stupid son of a bitch. I hope that you didn't do something you're gonna regret 'cause if one of my detectives go down, I swear...
Raines: I'm gonna bust you. Where's Lani? How's she doing?
JJ: She thinks she threw most of it up, but he made her take a really huge dose. It's gonna be okay, Lani, I got you. It's gonna be okay.
Lani: I'm fine, I'm just--
Snake: Tough day, baby?
Lani: You're under arrest.
Raines: Better be sure he is. Get him the hell outta here, Paulson. Get the hell outta here.
Paulson: Yes, sir.
Lani: [Groans] Oh, god.
JJ: I got you, I got you.
Raines: Hey, hey, hey, come on, get her out of here. The ambulance is coming. Come on, come on, come on.
JJ: I'm gonna drive her myself.
Raines: All right.
(News break here)
Gabi: I'm sorry.
Hope: Oh, my gosh.
Gabi: I'm sure you have a huge list of things to hold against me. You know, 'cause of nick and everything, and... I mean, Julie's never gonna forgive me.
Hope: Gabi, I'm in no position to judge anyone.
Gabi: Thank you. [Chuckles]
Myron: [Whispering indistinctly]
Raines: Mayor, sir. How are you?
Raines: So, uh... how's my detective?
Abe: The drugs are, uh... have to work their way out of her system. They're doing everything they can. We're... we're hopeful. Right, JJ?
Raines: [Sighs] That's good, sir. That's really good. So we questioned snake. Got a warrant to search his place from the information recorded on Lani's wire. Led us to the warehouse where we found the six missing hookers.
Raines: Um... technically, yeah. But some of them probably wish they were dead. He had them so stoned out of their minds. It was halo. This was good for snake at first. He kept his ladies so hooked, so addicted that they had no will of their own. Those poor women, they gave him every dollar they earned. The johns were hooked as well. Problem was is that it's such a destructive drug, it rendered them completely useless to snake after a while. So he sequestered them just long enough for them to dry out, just to function. Then he started that sick, twisted cycle all over again.
We got them to the metropolitan hospital, sir. Doctors are working on them now.
Abe: Okay, just-- why the hell did you put her back in his sights? You-- you knew this could happen.
JJ: Yes, but so did Lani, sir. And she wanted to do it anyway.
Abe: This should not have been her call!
JJ: Abe, Abe. Of course it was her call. I didn't see it at first. I was overly protective. But sir, if it wasn't your daughter, my girlfriend, we would have let her make that call. Lani's a hero. She knew it was dangerous and she walked into danger anyway. That's what cops do. She saved those six women.
Abe: Yeah. I--I'm proud of what she did.
I just--I can't lose her. I can't.
Hope: Who's the guy Dario's talking to?
Gabi: Oh, that's Myron Raditz. He is some tech guy that Dario uses. I don't know. He's kind of like a genius.
Hope: Looks like some big secret's going down, huh?
Gabi: No, probably not. He probably just got his computer to turn water into wine or something.
Rafe: [Laughs] So...
Rafe: What are you up to the rest of the day?
Hope: Well, I am-- I'm gonna be meeting up with Julie to go over some family plans, and, well, then I'm free. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe not.
Rafe: Letting me off?
Rafe: All right, well, text me. Warm me up.
Hope: Hey, thank you for this. It was great being part of the family. It really was. Even if I was tricked into eating a worm.
Dario: Oh, yeah. We're gonna have to do this again sometime.
Hope: Oh, absolutely. Are you kidding me? Absolutely 'cause I am bringing the worms. Yes, enough for everyone.
Hope: Yes, count on it.
Dario: A worm-off.
Rafe: She'll do it. [Laughter] Mm. All right, all right.
Hope: Come here. Bye.
Hope: Dario, thank you.
Dario: You're welcome.
Rafe: All right.
Rafe: Proud of you.
Hope: I wouldn't let you down.
Rafe: I know.
Dario: You got any worm in your teeth?
Gabi: Leave him alone.
Dario: Get some floss.
Rafe: I can't believe you did that.
Dario: It was good. She fell for it.
Eric: Hey, dad.
Eric: Came to get a few things here.
Roman: Need help?
Eric: No, looks pretty light. It's a gorgeous day, isn't it?
Roman: Yes, it is. And you seem, uh...
Roman: Well, I don't know. Nice to see you smiling. Get some good news?
Eric: In a way, yeah. You know, for the first time in a long time, I got a future. It's gonna be good.
Roman: All right, well, see you later.
Marlena: Hi there. I need to talk to you. About my son.
Marlena: I-- I don't know how far things have gone between the two of you. Or how far they might go, but I must tell you, I don't think it's a good idea.
Jennifer: Oh. Uh...
Marlena: I--I'm-- I'm keeping an eye on things. I'm sure you know what that means. But I'm not going to interfere.
Jennifer: Right. No, I--I understand.
Marlena: One thing I will never forget is that there was a time when my son was lost to me. And you--you brought him back. I will always be grateful for that. So thank you. I'm sure you think that I've crossed a line here.
Jennifer: No, I don't. I really do understand where you're coming from. I have been a protective mom once or twice in my life. We're good.
Marlena: Good, thank you.
[Phone rings] Hello? Paul?
Say that again. Brady's been shot?
Hope: Any other felonies? All right. Yeah, thanks. I'll talk to you later. Hey, Julie.
Julie: What about felonies?
Hope: Oh, I was just checking on someone.
Julie: You seem a little concerned.
Hope: No, no, not at all. Have you ever heard of someone named Raditz? Myron Raditz?
Julie: Myron? Old Myron? No, I've never heard of him. What about him?
Hope: No, he--just a guy who works for Dario.
Julie: A criminal?
Hope: He has a rap sheet.
Julie: With that family, that's no surprise, is it?
Hope: Julie, excuse me. Rafe's a Hernandez. Remember?
Julie: And Rafe is the exception to the rule, darling.
Hope: Poor family. They've been through so much lately with Eduardo's arrest.
Julie: Honey, what are you gonna do if you find out that Dario is a criminal too?
Hope: Well... it would kill Rafe.
Dario: Gotta admit, I haven't spent much time with hope, but she's all right.
Rafe: No, no.
Rafe: She's better than all right. Yeah.
Gabi: Who knows, maybe she'll really become part of the family.
Dario: Ooh. Ooh, he's got it bad.
Gabi: Oh, stop it.
Dario: [Mimics whip snapping]
Rafe: Okay, you know, a toast.
Rafe: A familia y...
All: Al amor.
Dario: Thank you.
Rafe: Watch it, bro.
Dario: You got it bad. Oh, boy.
JJ: You gotta make it, Lani. Your dad needs you. So do I.
