Episode #13049 ~ Chloe kisses someone surprising; Brady gets Nicole settled into her new home; Abigail is put in danger; Chad tells Gabi he can never see her again.
Provided By SuzanneBrady: Good news. Think the eardrops worked. She's out like a light.
Nicole: Oh. Got the magic touch.
Brady: I got some daddy skills.
Brady: No, she, uh-- she drifted out before I could even finish off "twinkle, twinkle, little star."
Nicole: She loves that song.
Brady: I know. I've been paying attention. You sing that her, you pat her on the back a little bit, and she's out.
Nicole: I--I just still can't believe how quickly you put all this together.
Brady: I have friends in high places.
Nicole: Seriously, Brady. I mean, the fact that you got us out of Salem and across the border and-- oh, my gosh, when they made us get out of the car, and they checked all our bags--
Brady: That's common. They do that for everybody.
Nicole: Yeah, but, uh-- you could tell that I was just-- I was a little panicked.
Brady: Panicked? Yeah, you were panicked, but you don't have to be anymore, because, look, you have a new name, and you have a new address. Look at this place.
Nicole: Yeah... 29 Moosehead lane. Could that be any more Canadian, ey?
Brady: Come on, hey, hey. I know it's not a palace, all right, but--
Nicole: No, it is. It is to me. And it's paid for?
Brady: I used money from a-- an account in the Cayman islands. It's completely untraceable.
Nicole: Like us?
Brady: Absolutely. There's no one, not Deimos or anybody else, that is ever gonna find out where you are.
Deimos: Nicole was last seen leaving Brookville clinic with the baby?
Rigo: Yes, sir, but then the trail went cold.
Deimos: Did you check the airlines, the car rental agencies, taxis?
Rigo: No one fitting her description used any of 'em yet, but they're on alert.
Deimos: Knowing Nicole, she could be hiding somewhere in plain sight. But I don't want you to worry about her or the baby tonight. I'll follow up on those leads myself.
Rigo: I can handle it.
Deimos: No. Tonight, you've got bigger fish to fry.
Nobody steals from me without getting payback. It's time for revenge on that toothless piranha, Chad DiMera.
Abigail: Test, one, two. Hey, Dario, um--
Abigail: Sorry. Look... I wasn't gonna ask you to dance, since you obviously don't wanna do that. I was just checking the sound equipment for Chad's speech, and nada.
Dario: Helps if you turn it on.
Abigail: Oh. Duh.
Dario: I'm sure your husband would've figured it out.
Abigail: Well, he was a little frazzled this morning, so I just wanna make sure that everything is covered for him.
Dario: You always do. He's one lucky guy.
Dario: You should round him up. The auction's over. The guests are getting restless. Any idea where he is?
Abigail: Uh, he stepped outside for a minute with Gabi.
Dario: Any idea why?
Gabi: You love me.
Chad: Yes, I--I do-- I do love you, but--
Gabi: I love you too, Chad.
Chad: Listen, would you just let me finish? Please? I love you, but I can't see you anymore. I can't talk to you anymore. I can't be anywhere near you anymore.
Chad: You know the answer to that, all right? Abby and I, we have a son, and we're a family.
Gabi: And I-- I tried to stay out of your way out of respect for that-- for your marriage, all right? You know, I guess that I always held out a little bit of hope. And that was dumb. That was-- I guess I couldn't help it. Okay. Yeah, it's time to let that all go... right?
Chad: Kay, so I just--I-- I love my wife, and I love my son.
Gabi: And you wanna do right by them. I--I understand that. But Chad... I mean, you know you gave me a piece of your heart.
Chad: I know, and it was selfish.
Gabi: Why? I mean, it wasn't a choice.
Chad: No, you're right. You're right. I can't-- I can't--I can't-- I can't choose how I feel about you, but I, but I--I--I can only take responsibility for what I-- for what I choose to do with those feelings.
Gabi: But, I mean, us-- this--the way we feel about each other... okay. Yeah, it's over. Your heart-- your heart needs to heal so that it only belongs to your wife and your son. I love you so much. I care about your happiness and your peace of mind. That--that means a lot to me. So I will honor your request... to never see you again.
Eduardo: Dr. Lee shouldn't have left Nicole alone when he called me. She must've suspected something and split.
Chloe: Yeah, with my daughter.
Eduardo: At least we know she's looking after her. At least she got her to the clinic the minute she wasn't feeling well.
Chloe: Yeah, and he said it was only an earache, but those things are awful for babies. I remember when my son parker got his first one.
Eduardo: Well, not to worry, 'cause I am going to find them for you.
Deimos: Did you lose something, Chloe?
Eduardo: Ms. Lane, uh, just lost a pair of her favorite earrings, and I said I'd help.
Deimos: Hmm. So where you gonna look for these earrings next? Since you didn't seem to find them at the Brookville clinic.
Nicole: [Sighs] You really covered all our tracks, didn't you?
Brady: Yeah. You can relax, Nicole. You can stop running, because we are home now.
Brady: No, not--I mean, you. [Laughs] You. You are-- you're home. I mean, I--I like it. I mean... it's a nice small cozy town. I don't think anybody here would ever suspect that you had a life somewhere else.
Nicole: Right. [Chuckles] No one--no one will.
Brady: And you can-- you can fix this place up. You can put your own touch on it. You and your daughter.
Brady: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, you don't sound too sure at all, do you?
Nicole: No--[Sighs] Of--of course, Brady. I mean, it sounds great, as long as I've-- I have my sweet girl with me. I mean, I--there's-- I really have nothing to complain about. Right? I mean, she and I--we'll-- we'll just keep each other company.
Brady: But you will be lonely, won't you?
Nicole: No. No, I--I--we'll be-- we'll be fine. Like I said, as long as I have my precious holly with me...
Brady: And me.
Brady: As long as you have holly and me. The more I think about it... maybe I should stay with you.
Dario: You want me to go and get them?
Abigail: No, of course not.
Dario: You're a terrible liar.
Abigail: Excuse me?
Dario: I know you better than you think I do.
Dario: And the looking away isn't helping.
Abigail: Okay. So you're mad at me. I know you better than you think I do. You were uncomfortable with me earlier, and now you're copping attitude with me. I have no idea why.
Dario: I'm not. I'm not mad.
Abigail: Well, you're sure as hell no fun right now. Is it because your new girlfriend broke up with you?
Dario: Maybe it is.
Abigail: Or is it the fact that I'm a DiMera and you're a Hernandez, so there's just always gonna be this weird hostile subtext in every conversation?
Dario: Destined to be enemies forever.
Abigail: But Chad is not a typical DiMera. He's not even close. He's a good man. He's decent and good and kind, and he is loyal--
Dario: For your sake, I hope so, because I would hate for him to hurt anyone that I care about.
Abigail: He's not gonna hurt your sister, okay? He cares about her, and so do I. She's a very important friend to us.
Dario: Then what else is there to say? I need to go check the auction register.
Gabi: So we just-- we will not see each other anymore, and we'll try to avoid running into each other.
Chad: Okay. And... if some day, or-- when some day the feelings pass, maybe we can be friends again.
Gabi: Yeah. Yeah, maybe.
I know--I know this is the right thing to do, but--
Chad: But it hurts.
Gabi: Hey, Eli.
Eli: Sorry to interrupt.
Gabi: It's fine. Um... Chad, this is Eli grant. Um, this is Chad DiMera.
Eli: Nice to meet you.
Gabi: You wanna head inside? Yeah, we should be getting inside. [Laughs] Bye.
Nicole: Brady, I--I-- I can't ask you to stay.
Brady: Sure you can.
Nicole: No, no, no, no. After everything you've done for me, I know you wanna get back to Tate. I want you to get back to Tate. I would feel terribly guilty keeping you away from him, especially now that--that-- that his mother's gone, and--
Brady: Nic--Nic, I-- look, I can--I can--
Nicole: No, Brady, no. You are not staying here, okay? No arguing.
Brady: All right, listen, I don't--all right, I don't wanna argue with you. I just--I do miss my boy. I do miss him. I just--I... I--I won't leave you here for long. I'll be back soon. I could never leave you for that long.
[Knocking on door]
Nicole: Oh, my God. Oh, my God, the lights are on, and someone knows we're here.
Brady: No, no, just... pause.
Nicole: Brady, uh--
Hillary: Hi, uh, I'm--I'm Hillary. I live in the cottage next door.
Brady: Oh, hi. Hi, Hillary. I'm--I'm Freddie smith.
Hillary: Oh, hi.
Brady: This is my wife, Bridget.
Hillary: Nice, uh-- nice to meet you both.
Hillary: Yeah. This place has been empty for over a year. It's really good to see some life in here.
Brady: Well, thank you. Thank you. Uh, it's very nice to meet you.
Hillary: Since you're just moving in, I, you know, I wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood.
Nicole: Oh, that's-that's-- that's very kind of you.
Hillary: You know, I could-- I could bring some coffee over, and, uh, I've got a banana bread just out of the oven.
Brady: Banana bread. I mean, that sounds delicious.
Hillary: It's gotta cool down just a little. If, uh--while it does, you mind if I wait here?
Brady: No. No, not at all. Have a seat. Have a seat.
So, meeting new people always fascinates me. Tell me, what's-- what's your story?
Eduardo: If you think that we are gonna help you try to find Nicole walker, you're crazy.
Deimos: Mm, well, I'm just wondering why this is any of your damn concern. I mean, really, Hernandez, what's in this for you?
Eduardo: Why would I ever explain that?
Deimos: And you. Why the hell would you get involved with someone like this? And don't tell me "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."
Chloe: Well, if that were true, then I could ally myself to everyone in Salem, because everyone hates you, you evil man.
Deimos: Wow. And after we had that glorious night together in the sack?
Eduardo: Okay, now don't be talking about that in front of me. Show some respect.
Deimos: Oh, okay. Now I get the connection. You're her white knight.
Eduardo: Seriously. Leave her alone.
Deimos: And if I don't? What're you gonna do about it, amigo?
Deimos: How far are you willing to go to protect this, um--well, for lack of a better word, let's just say lady?
Eduardo: You don't really wanna know about that.
Deimos: No, I know that you used to kill people for a living. But I also spent 30 years behind bars. I learned a few survival tricks. You wanna put 'em to the test?
Eduardo: Hey, now... don't you have some place to go?
Deimos: Yeah, you know, I do. And I've wasted enough time with you two.
Eduardo: That's what I was hoping. Cuidate. [Speaks Spanish]
Deimos: Yeah. Adios. Oh, and by the way, um, when I find Nicole, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to convince her to run away with me. And after what you did to her, you will never see holly again.
Nicole: What's our story?
Hillary: Oh, I'm sorry. I, uh-- I don't mean to sound pushy, but I would love to know what we might have in common-- you know, hobbies, favorite movies. What do you do for a living?
Nicole: Oh, uh, well, I-I-I was a decorator.
Hillary: Oh, cool. And you?
Brady: Um, I travel. I travel a lot.
Hillary: For what?
Brady: For chemical engineering.
Hillary: Wow, you have to-- you have to travel for that?
Brady: Yeah. Yeah, you do-- I mean, if you wanna make the big bucks, and I have to keep this gorgeous thing in style, so--[Chuckles]
Hillary: A traditionalist and a romantic.
Brady: I try to be. Yeah.
Hillary: You're, uh-- you're a gorgeous couple.
Brady: That's nice of you. Thank--thank you.
Hillary: God, I bet your love story's fascinating.
Nicole: Like a-- a romance novel. [Laughs]
Hillary: Ooh, tell me about it.
Nicole: Sure. Yeah...
Brady: Tell her.
Nicole: Um... Freddie, sweetheart...
Nicole: Why don't-- why don't-- why don't you fill her in?
Brady: I could-- I could fill her in. Sure. Well, we-- we grew up in a small town. We've actually known each other for years, and when you grow up in a small town, you tend to see each other a lot. She was always the tall beautiful blonde that I never thought I could have. I was always pretty smitten with her. We had a few hiccups along the way. I mean, I think we had a marriage or two to other people. Didn't that get in the way?
Nicole: Yeah, to a lot of the wrong people-- um, speaking for myself of course.
Brady: Right. And I was usually there to pick up the pieces, if I recall.
Nicole: As well as I. You had a few clunkers along the way.
Brady: I did.
Nicole: Of course mine were-- mine were worse, and every time I tried to get out, it was just a-- a disaster.
Hillary: And there he was every time with the best advice, I'll bet.
Nicole: Yeah, I-- I rarely listen to him.
Brady: Hold on. You rarely listen?
Nicole: Okay, all right, I--
Brady: You rarely?
Nicole: I never listen. And then--[Clears throat]-- One day, I woke up, and I realized that he was my best friend. And I also realized that, uh, he's my hero.
Hillary: And that's when you fell head over heels in love.
Eli: I've said it before, but it is amazing how many new relatives I have here in Salem. Did you grow up here? Gabi.
Gabi: Yeah, oh, I'm sorry.
Eli: I was just wondering if you grew up here.
Gabi: Uh, I went to Salem high with Chad.
Eli: Oh, cool. Um, wanna dance?
Gabi: Actually, um, I need to go to the ladies room. Would you get me another drink?
Eli: Yeah, yeah. Gabi, you haven't even started on this one.
Gabi: Okay. Get it together, Gabi. Get it together. Heartbreak heals, okay? You're fine. You have to get over this. You have to. You have-- [Sobs]
Because I'm a woman...
Abigail: I know what Chad told you.
Gabi: I see.
Abigail: We had a really open and honest conversation about it earlier, and, uh... I know how he feels about you.
Gabi: He made it, uh, very clear to me too.
Abigail: I'm sorry that you've been hurt, Gabi.
Gabi: I just, uh-- I wanna make this as, um-- as easy as possible for everyone. And you should know that I promised Chad I would stay out of his life-- stay out of every aspect of his life-- and that includes losing you too.
Abigail: I don't want that. But I know that if it's-- if it's easier for him, then I have-- I have to make that the priority. But I need you in my life, Gabi. I do. And so I just--I hope that someday, things are gonna go back to normal and that then we can be together again-- we can reconnect someday.
Abigail: Yeah... like taking belly dancing classes together. That's our normal.
Abigail: I can't imagine being crazy like that with anybody else.
Hillary: Hey, earth to Mr. And Mrs. Smith.
Brady: Hey. [Laughs]
Nicole: Uh, like I said, uh, we have a long, long story.
Hillary: Yeah, a hot one, which is why you're so red.
Nicole: What? I am?
Hillary: Mm-hmm. Yeah, a bit, and one day, I'm gonna get you to give me all the lurid details, maybe while you're away.
Brady: That's probably a good idea. Speaking of which, I, um-- I have to get going.
Hillary: Oh, you have no time for my banana bread?
Brady: I would hope that you would bring some to my wife, Bridget, while I'm gone.
Hillary: Ah, yeah, to give you some private time to say good-bye. I got it.
Hillary: And, uh, don't worry. I'll watch out for her and your baby while you're gone.
Nicole: Wait, what? Holly? How did you know?
Hillary: Well, uh, the crib is sort of a dead giveaway. I'll be right back.
Nicole: Mm-hmm. Yeah, okay, I, uh--I like her. She does ask a lot of questions.
Brady: She does, but-- [Sighs] Come on, she's nothing-- nothing like tiffany. That girl worked at a seedy motel. She's... we're in the Canadian suburbs, Nicole. It's safe. I mean, what could possibly go-- all right, do me a favor. Just hide the cash, just in case, but I think it's important-- I would feel better while I'm away-- if you had a friend, if you had somebody to help you. You need loyal, simple friends right now, okay?
Brady: All right, I'm, uh, I'm off. I don't wanna wake holly, so... do me a favor, ey? Give her a kiss good-bye?
Nicole: Come back soon, Mr. Smith.
Brady: I will, Mrs. Smith. See ya.
Nicole: Okay. [Laughs]
[Door handle shuffles]
Nicole: He's asleep.
Eduardo: Would you like something else?
Chloe: No, I'm-- I'm fine. I'm just not really hungry.
Eduardo: Yeah. Look, I know it's a bitch, but you can't let Deimos get to you.
Chloe: It's not really about him. It's that ever since my friends left town-- belle and Shawn and my mom left-- I just realized that I don't have anybody here on my side. I just don't know how I'm gonna get through this alone. I just miss my little girl so much.
Eduardo: Well, you're not alone anymore. I got your back.
Chloe: That means so much to me.
Eduardo: Yeah, well, I know. I know what it's like to be separated from your kid. I'm here, and, uh, you know, I wanna help. I really want to set this right. For the record: Hernandez men, we don't quit till we get what we want.
Abigail: No, that was me. I wasn't looking where I was going. Um, I was just looking for Chad. Have you seen him?
Dario: Yeah. A few minutes ago, he was talking to some of the coaches.
Dario: The night's going really well, by the way.
Abigail: I'm pretty pleased with myself.
Dario: You should be. And I need to apologize for how I acted earlier. I was rude.
Abigail: Well, you just went through a breakup. They're never easy.
Dario: Yeah, and I'm a sore loser. Sorry I took it out on you.
Abigail: No apology necessary.
Dario: May I have this dance?
Dario: You asked me to dance earlier. If the offer still stands, I'd like to accept it.
Eli: So you know most of these guests.
Gabi: A lot are Salem high alumni.
Eli: Aha, giving back to the community.
Gabi: Yeah. With the athletics department being cut so drastically, Abby and Chad thought it'd be a great cause, and, you know, she's doing a lot to repair the DiMera reputation.
Eli: An intriguing family, from what I hear. What about you?
Eli: Yeah, tell me about yourself.
Gabi: Oh--well, uh, let me see. I was working for Chad as an image consultant, but I'm on my own now. Starting a new business, which can be a little challenging, considering my past.
Eli: What do you mean?
Gabi: Well, uh, full disclosure, I spent some time in prison. It's something I'm not proud of.
Eli: Listen, I don't judge. We all make mistakes and screw up, but what counts is what we do after to make things right.
Gabi: Right. And, uh, I'm doing great. Single mom. Starting a new business. Standing on my own.
Eli: And lucky me to be standing next to you.
Abigail: Footwork's gotten amazing.
Dario: I must be a quick learner.
Chad: Mind if I cut in?
Dario: She's all yours.
Chad: Whoa, whoa, what is-- am I hearing this right, or is this our song?
Abigail: It's our song.
Chad: It's our song.
Chad: Wonder who-- who did that?
For once in my life
Chad: I talked to Gabi.
Abigail: I did too.
Looking in your eyes
I only want to love you and hold you tight I feel fine because you're mine
Chad: I don't care.
When the sun goes down I get a little happy because I know
Eduardo: So you're feeling better?
Chloe: Yeah. Knowing I have you on my side now, I'm definitely feeling better.
Chloe: Um, hey, listen, I think I've, uh-- I've thought of a way that I can help repay you for everything you're doing--
Eduardo: Ah, no, you don't have to do that.
Chloe: I know, but, um, honestly, it would be-- it would give me some satisfaction as well.
Eduardo: Okay, well, what are you thinking?
Chloe: Well, um, I'm thinking that we could make Kate very jealous.
Eduardo: Oh, yeah?
Chloe: Yeah. Um, so I--don't get me wrong. I don't really know why a man like you would wanna be with that woman, but whatever floats your boat. That being said, I have a lot of experience with her, and I know how to push her buttons.
Chloe: Yes, really. Next time we see Kate, I know exactly what we should do.
Nicole: Mmm. This banana bread is delicious.
Hillary: Thank you. I can give you the recipe if you like.
Nicole: Yeah, that'd be great, thanks. So, is everyone around here as friendly as you are?
Hilary: Oh, for sure. And--and I'm gonna introduce you around, Bridget, especially with Freddie's work keeping him on the road so much, you're gonna need all the friends you can get, right?
Hillary: Though the way you guys look at each other-- so in love. Anyway, I, uh-- I can't imagine he'll stay away too long.
Eli: So, wanna dance?
Gabi: Oh, um... you know, actually, I-- I'm feeling a little nauseous. Actually, would-- would you get me a ginger ale?
Eli: Yeah, I'd be happy to.
Gabi: Thank you.
Dario: From the look on your face, I see that things didn't go so well with Chad.
Gabi: We said our good-byes. We just thought that it would be better for everyone if we stayed out of each other's lives.
Dario: Sorry. Look, I gotta be here for work, but nothing is stopping you from leaving.
Gabi: Yeah, I think I will. But not yet, because my date's getting me a soda.
Dario: Kay. I'm around if you need me.
Abigail: You seem a little distracted.
Chad: No, I'm, um, just-- I'm just thinking about my speech. I don't wanna mess it up.
Chad: I should actually go work on it.
Abigail: Yeah, you should.
Chad: I love you.
Abigail: I love you.
Rigo: Excuse me, ms. DiMera. Uh, I'm a new reporter with "the spectator," and I missed the red carpet. Is there any chance I can get a quote outside?
Abigail: Yeah, of course. Yeah, it's--it is a little noisy in here, so let's go.
Eduardo: Okay, now, uh, okay. That was fine, but, uh, it's important that you know I'm in love with Kate.
Chloe: I know, I know, and you have to listen to me. Just trust me, okay?
Eduardo: Sure, okay, just so we're on the same page about what's-what's going on.
Chloe: Yeah, no, we are compatriots in crime, Eddie, but that's it. Trust me, the last thing that I need or want right now is another man, but Kate thinking that you want me-- it's just gonna drive her right back into your amazingly well-toned arms, if I do say so. So I will help get Kate back, and you help me get holly. It's as simple as that.
Brady: Thanks for getting back to Salem so quickly. And yes, I'm gonna be making some frequent hops under the name Freddie smith, okay? Yeah, that's right. Keep the jet fueled, and keep that burner phone by your side.
Deimos: You seem surprised.
Brady: Oh, I didn't see your car out there.
Deimos: It's in the shop. I'm driving a loaner. What's going on?
Brady: Oh, nothing. It's been a long day.
Deimos: Mm. With Nicole. Where is she, Brady?
Brady: I don't know. I've been away on business.
Deimos: Where the hell is she?
Brady: Have a good night. I'm going to bed.
Deimos: You son of a bitch.
Nicole: Well, Freddie and I, we are crazy about each other.
Hillary: Well, that is real obvious, hon, like I said.
Hillary: And you have a baby who needs you, so I will let myself out, but I can't wait to meet little holly.
Nicole: Thank you again for the banana bread and for the friendship.
Hillary: Sleep well.
Nicole: Think I will. See you soon.
Nicole: Oh. Hey, sweetie. Look at that, huh? Fever's broken. Color's good. That's my little girlie girl. Well, this isn't exactly the life I had planned, but I think we can have a future here, with banana bread and great friends and... we have everything we need. Even daddy Freddie from time to time. You know, I-I think this could be heaven.
Twinkle, twinkle little star how I wonder what you are
Hillary: Yeah, thanks for reaching out, Captain, and it's nice to be needed, but I'm back at my cabin. I'm sorry. Not interested. No, money-- money is not the issue. Look, my last case nearly killed me. I definitely need a break. This police detective is on vacation.
Eli: I hope this makes you feel better.
Gabi: Thank you. I don't think anything can. Uh, listen, Eli, it's been a great evening, but I think I should head home.
Eli: Oh, um, okay. Can I give you a ride?
Gabi: No, that's okay. You, uh, stay, and enjoy the rest of the party. Good night.
Chad: Hello? Hello, hi. How's everyone doing? My name is Chad DiMera, and on behalf of DiMera enterprises, I would like to thank everybody for making it out to yet another beautiful event--charity event. If we can just...
Chad: Um, now, uh, I can't go any further without showing some serious appreciation for an extraordinary woman. She not only helped plan the Horton center book drive but also this amazing event, and she is extraordinary and talented and beautiful, and she also happens to be my wife, so I'd like her to come up and join me, if she would. Ladies and gentlemen, Abigail DiMera.
Chad: All right, maybe she just-- maybe a little bit more. Maybe a little louder. Little louder welcome.
Dario: Abigail? Abigail, Chad's looking-- Abigail?
Gabi: [Exhales loudly] Oh, God.
