Episode #12954 ~ Jennifer & Adrienne decide to buy the Spectator; Theresa receives an unexpected visit from Shane; Philip shares some stunning news with Nicole; Deimos tracks down Nancy, demanding information about Chloe.

Nicole: I heard St. Luke's was doing that. I think that's great. So I can meet you there? All right, I'll see you soon.
Deimos: Good morning, Nicole.
Deimos: I couldn't help but overhear. What's going on at St. Luke's?
Nicole: Well, they are opening their doors to the city so people can pray and give thanks, trying to help heal the community.
Deimos: Hmm. Well, not exactly my thing. But since I do want to try to remake myself into a pillar of the community...
Nicole: Oh, so you're gonna take time off of hunting Chloe down and trying to ruin her life? Nice.
Deimos: I can't imagine anyone thinking that I don't have a right to find her, to bring her back here until she has my child.
Nicole: Deimos, I told you. I'm sorry I kept the truth from you. I am genuinely sorry. And I've apologized over and over that...
Nicole: Philip and Chloe switched the test results--
Deimos: Yes, yes, you told me-- two months after the fact. It's about trust, Nicole.
[Cell phone ringing]
Nicole: Yeah. You should probably get that.
Deimos: Deimos here. Excellent. I'm on my way.
Maggie: Oh, there you are. We were hoping we'd see you here. So where is our precious little Tate?
Theresa: Uh, he was a little cranky...
Theresa: So we left him home with Emma. I didn't want to, you know, ruin it for the rest of the parishioners.
Brady: It is so good to see you out and about.
Victor: And walking on her own.
Maggie: Oh, I am so overjoyed to be here-- not just to thank God for my miracle but for the salvation of our entire city.
Brady: Well, we have a lot to be thankful for, don't we?
Theresa: Yes, we do.
Maggie: And there's another miracle.
Maggie: Our family is united. Your grandson is back in the fold.
Theresa: Yeah, well, I'm just glad that we're free of Xander and Orpheus for good. And in the midst of the crisis, Brady gave me all the love and assurance I needed by making me his wife-- I mean unofficially, but...
Maggie: Aha. I heard about that impromptu wedding.
Maggie: It sounded just beautiful and romantic.
Theresa: Beyond romantic, actually.
Maggie: Well, here's to a brand-new start for you two... and Tate.
Theresa: Thanks. You know what? Speaking of new starts and wiping the slate clean, I, uh-- I'm not really sure when the last time was I went to confession, so I'm gonna go give it a whirl.
Theresa: So good to see you.
Maggie: Sure. Hi.
Brady: Hey. You lighting a candle for dad?
Paul: And Marlena.
Brady: Every time I think that guy has met his match, he just... I don't know. He overcomes the impossible.
Paul: Stretches out those nine lives of his.
Brady: Got to hand it to him. He never shies away from a challenge, does he?
Marlena: Orpheus, don't do it! Don't do this! There's no need! There's no need! [Coughing]
Marlena: [Coughing] John! [Choking] Sami, Belle. [Gasps]
Roman: Hey! It's okay. It's me, doc. It's roman. I'm right here. I'm right here. Orpheus can't hurt you anymore. It's over.
Theresa: I'm not really sure where to start. I, uh-- I haven't been to confession since I was probably in high school, and I think the last time I went is because my mom forced me to go because I skipped school to get a tattoo. So, um... so here goes. [Sighs] Bless me, father, for I have sinned.
Shane: Yes, my child.
Theresa: Say that again?
Shane: Yes, my child?
Theresa: Oh, my God. Daddy?
Theresa: Daddy? Oh, God, it really is you.
Shane: Yes, yes, Jeannie, it really is. But can you keep your voice down?
Theresa: Wait, wait, what is going on? I mean, I know you're a spy, but showing up in Salem dressed like a priest? I mean, come on, this is over the top even for you.
Shane: Jeannie, I have to talk to you.
Theresa: Yeah, well, I get that. I mean, but you couldn't just show up in Salem and take me out for a slice of pizza?
Shane: No. No, I couldn't, because what I have to say is very sensitive. That's why I followed you in here. Jeannie, I've come to warn you. You're in danger.
Brady: Hey. [Sighs]
Nicole: Thank you for meeting me. I really need someone to talk to.
Brady: Anytime. You know that.
Nicole: I was wondering if you talked to Chloe. She hasn't returned my calls, and I haven't been able to reach Philip. Has he said anything to you?
Brady: Well, Philip and I haven't exactly been friendly lately. I mean, we're working it out, but no, I haven't heard from Chloe. What is going on?
Nicole: Deimos and I aren't together anymore, and he won't have anything to do with me. It's all because of this mess with Chloe.
Brady: Define "mess." Am I gonna have to brace myself for this one or what?
Nicole: Yeah, well, maybe a little bit. Chloe asked me to lie about the baby's paternity, to go along with her plan to say that Philip was the father when Deimos really is.
Brady: Are you serious right now? What are you talking about?
Nicole: I know. I know. I wasn't comfortable with it either, but Chloe's my best friend, and she was terrified that Deimos would find out the truth.
Brady: Well, not to play devil's advocate here, but isn't that his right as the father?
Nicole: Yes, I agree. And when the paternity results came back showing that Deimos wasn't the father, he was devastated.
Brady: Which I know you could relate to, and that probably hit home pretty close to you, didn't it?
Nicole: Yeah. That's why I came clean with him and I told him that Philip and Chloe tampered with the results and that he really was the father.
Brady: And it didn't go over too well, did it?
Nicole: No. Brady, the look in his eyes-- he was so cold.
Brady: That's what his eyes look like--they're cold. They're always like that.
Nicole: Okay, all right. He was furious with me. But who can blame him? I knew the truth for months, and I still lied to him. Now he's hell-bent on finding Chloe and dragging her back here. He thinks this baby is his legacy.
Brady: His legacy? That's kind of dramatic, isn't it? I mean, I guess that's his style and everything, but...
Nicole: I think it's touching, actually. Deimos cares so much.
Brady: Forgive me for not being touched so deeply, okay? Look, it's not-- it's not like I don't wish the best for Chloe. I do, and I hope to God they don't get in some kind of tug-of-war over this child and everything. But, Nicole, honestly-- honestly... you need to butt out. You need to let it go. You need to let them handle this.
Nicole: That's easy for you to say.
Brady: I'm j-- I'm just talking like a friend here, okay? You don't need to be in the middle of something so intensely personal as two people that are having a baby.
Nicole: But, Brady--
Brady: There's no-- there's no "buts" about it, Nicole. Stay out of it. Don't get involved. You're not gonna like what I have to say either, but I think you and Deimos calling it quits is... it's probably a blessing in disguise, honestly.
Nicole: Now who's being "intensely personal"?
Brady: All right, you know? All right, you know what? Then fine. You know, do whatever you want. You know, it's your life, so...
Nicole: Brady, I'm sorry. I... actually prefer that you care.
Brady: And I do. I do. I do, a lot.
Nicole: I do understand where you're coming from with Deimos. And despite him being completely different from Daniel... I don't know. There's just something about him that's drawn him to me, and I think I did have something special with him.
Brady: I'm sorry, Nic. I guess I didn't realize that at all.
Nicole: How could you? You and I never talk like this. Anyway, this whole mess with Chloe, I think it's ruined any kind of happiness that Deimos and I might've had. And I don't know how I'm gonna forgive myself for hurting him the way I did.
Nancy: Well, it's about time. I darn near finished reading my book, waiting for you.
Philip: Sorry about that. All the extra security at JFK slowed me down.
Nancy: Philip Kiriakis. Still just as handsome as ever. How long has it been? I mean, I haven't seen you... when was the last time?
Philip: Look, I don't mean to be rude, but I didn't come here to reminisce. [Sighs] I need you to tell me where Chloe is-- right now.
We all need a hug in the morning
Lucas: Took care of everything, right?
Lucas: You talked to father Louis at St. Luke's?
Lucas: Honey, you said you would do that.
Adrienne: Totally slipped my mind. I know. I know. No, no, no, no, no. You know what? Wait, wait, wait. We can touch base with him at the prayer service tonight. All's good. All's good.
Lucas: All right.
Adrienne: Oh, you know what? In the meantime, though, I want to talk to Jennifer about the menus.
Adrienne: Okay, let's go.
Lucas: Is she in here?
Adrienne: I think so. Oh, wedding planner extraordinaire! Hi! We finally got the menus from the caterers, except there's a couple things we want to over with you--
Adrienne: Hello. Jenn?
Jennifer: Oh, sorry.
Lucas: What are you doing? What are you reading?
Jennifer: It's about hope, and it's not good.
[Soft dramatic music]
Nancy: I've been expecting your call, Philip. Chloe told me how much she hurt you by lying about her baby's paternity. I feel awful, the way my daughter treated you.
Philip: Do you have any idea who the real father is?
Nancy: Honestly, I don't. Chloe was staying with Craig and I, and then suddenly she ups and packs herself and parker and leaves.
Philip: No note, no phone call?
Nancy: Nothing. I do hope she reaches out to you, Philip, because wherever she is, I think she could use your help.
Philip: And I'd like to help her. I was hoping to tell her that in person. I mean, yes, I was hurt by her lies. But I've had time to think about it, and it was the wrong decision. I should have kept my damn ego in check and been a better friend.
Nancy: Philip, you wouldn't have come all the way to new York if you weren't a good friend.
Philip: She has to be really scared.
Nancy: I know. Craig and I are so worried.
Philip: Well, if she does reach out to you, can you please tell her to contact me, that I want very much to help her?
Nancy: We will. And if she reaches out to you...
Philip: I'll do the same.
Theresa: I'm in danger? I don't understand.
Shane: Jeannie, it's about your past.
Theresa: No, no, no, my record in la, it was expunged.
Shane: No, Jeannie, this has nothing to do with your criminal record. This has to do with-- with after you came back from Mexico.
Theresa: [Whispering] Mateo.
Shane: Yes. Yes, Mateo. The ISA has men inside his cartel, and it's come to our notice that he knows you are living in Salem. And he wants you back.
Marlena: Where's john?
Roman: He, uh-- he got delayed down at the pier. He had to answer some questions for the police. He wanted me to be here so you wouldn't be alone when you woke up.
Marlena: Thank you.
Roman: You doing okay?
Marlena: Yeah, I'm-- I'm better. Did you talk to my doctor?
Roman: I did. I did. She's concerned that you might be suffering from some residual trauma, which is only natural. But physically, you're fine.
Marlena: That's a relief. That dream was just so vivid just now. Felt like I was-- I was back there in that coffin. I could smell the kerosene. I could hear Kayla screaming for help. Orpheus just kept tormenting us.
John: Yeah, and that ended up being his kryptonite.
Marlena: Yeah. And john was too. His persistence... I can always count on that with john. He just... he just never gives up.
Theresa: Mateo. Oh, my God. Why would he want me back?
Shane: I think you know the answer to that, sweetheart. He loved you. And you loved him, as I remember.
Theresa: But that was a long time ago, okay? I was a different person then. And I have a life now, dad. I have the most amazing life.
Shane: I know, sweetheart. I-I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see how-- how you had turned things around, how you had a life here in Salem.
Theresa: "Had"? My God, you're talking about it like it's past tense.
Shane: No, no, I didn't mean--
Theresa: Yes, you did. Yes, you did, 'cause you know my life is over and I... oh, my God. You know what? Mateo did this deliberately. He timed it this way, to make me pay. You know, I think-- I think if he had asked me to leave with him when he had first come to Salem, then I probably would have thought it was a godsend. I was so lost then. I convinced myself that I didn't care about my life or anyone else's. And I was so depressed, and I was so lonely, and I was stupid, so... I drank and partied myself into oblivion, and I woke up every morning alone with a hangover and... so sure, yeah, if he'd come back then, then maybe. But now I... dad. I don't know.
Shane: I'm so sorry, sweetheart.
Theresa: No, you know what? This is--this is like some bizarre dream, you showing up here in a confessional booth, dressed up like a priest, just appearing in Salem out of nowhere, telling me my life is over.
Shane: Now, I never said that.
Theresa: Yeah, well, you might as well have. Dad, you can do something, though, right? And that's why you're here, right? You can--you can do something. You got to be able to stop him.
Shane: Sweetheart, I wish I could. But not against el fideo. We'll be watching him, of course. But we haven't been able to get anyone close enough to get anything solid on them. He runs one of the largest drug cartels in the world, he's responsible for hundreds of deaths, and we haven't been able to prove any of it.
Theresa: What am I supposed to do?
Shane: We, um... we have somewhere you can hide-- you, Brady, and Tate.
Theresa: No, where? Where?
Shane: Well, it's far enough away from Salem for Mateo never to be able to find you.
Theresa: What? No! No way! I'm not going to force my family to live on the run. I mean... maybe if it was just Brady and me, but even then, he'd have to agree to it, and I-- no, I can't do that to Tate. I'm not gonna force my son to live with two parents who are always looking over their shoulders to raise him in fear and... no, you know what? Brady and Tate, they-- they shouldn't have to pay for my stupidity, so this is on me, and... [Sighs] Oh, God. God, what am I gonna do?
Shane: Sweetheart... perhaps you should consider leaving on your own.
Theresa: What? What, just leave my family? What, like you left us? No, you know what? I'm not gonna do that, because they actually mean something to me, okay? And I can't. I can't, and I won't.
Shane: I'm sorry, sweetheart. Listen, there was a time when Mateo meant something to you, didn't he?
Theresa: Yeah, I was stupid. You know, I thought I loved him, because he had all these women, and I thought I was so special to him and... [Sighs] Oh, God.
Shane: Well, apparently you still are.
Theresa: No, you know what? I can't do this.
Brady: Hey, sonny.
Sonny: Hey. This is great, isn't it, what St. Luke's is doing?
Paul: It is.
Sonny: There's my uncle Vic and Maggie. I'm gonna go say hello.
Brady: All right.
Theresa: Oh, thank God. Brady, there you are.
Brady: What's going on? What's wrong?
Theresa: I, uh... nothing, nothing, uh, Brady. I just--I, uh--I'M... look, I just-- would you mind if we leave here? I just-- I-I need to get out of here.
Brady: Yeah, okay.
Theresa: Please. I'm so sorry, Paul.
Brady: Slow down. It's okay.
Paul: It's no problem.
Brady: I'll talk to you later, okay?
Brady: Hey. Here you go. Okay, you're, uh... you're trembling. Baby, what's going on? What happened? Did my grandfather say something to you? What...
Theresa: What? No, no. No, it...
Theresa: It wasn't that. I just--
Brady: Hey, oh, okay. You're not yourself. What is going on? Tell me right now. Theresa.
Theresa: Just... just hold me. Please, please just hold me. Please--please hold me.
Brady: I gotcha. First kid
Jennifer: I cannot believe how this poor excuse for a newspaper is representing hope.
Lucas: Nothing but sensationalized garbage. That's all it is.
Adrienne: They don't even have the time line for the facts correct.
Lucas: Can't say I'm surprised. The "spectator" has gone downhill ever since jack stopped running it.
Jennifer: You know what? I would expect this kind of yellow journalism from the "intruder," not from the "spectator."
Lucas: Yeah, I actually heard titan was looking to buy on the cheap and then put it online.
Jennifer: You know, this newspaper was such... such a part of my life with jack. It kind of breaks my heart to see how far it's fallen. And you know what? If I had the money, I would buy it back, and I would make this newspaper something our town could be proud of again.
Brady: Are you feeling any better?
Theresa: Yeah, I'm fine. I was just-- you know, I was hungry earlier. I shouldn't have skipped breakfast, so...
Brady: You sure that's it?
Brady: You didn't seem like yourself at St. Luke's, like something-- something was bugging you. You want to talk about it?
Theresa: I was-- I was claustrophobic. You know, stuffy old church.
Brady: I get that way too. And it is beautiful outside, so...
Theresa: Yeah. Yeah, it is.
Brady: So what do you want to do? We could do anything you want. We can go to the movies. We can go shopping. I know you want to shop, so we can do that if you want. Why don't we get Tate? We'll go to the playground. Then we can to go the--
Theresa: Brady, can we just-- can we just stay here for a little while?
Theresa: Just, it's a nice day, and, you know, it's... so quiet and it's so peaceful, and I just--I just want to be here, you know, spending some time with the man I love. It's what I need.
Brady: You got it.
Adrienne: So you think it's a good idea?
Lucas: Honey, I think it's a fantastic idea, but are you sure you want to do that? All right, I stand firmly behind you, as always.
Adrienne: Love you.
Lucas: I love you.
Adrienne: [Clears throat]
Jennifer: Oh, wait. I wasn't finished. I was--
Adrienne: Reading that drivel? Yes, you were. We have something very important to discuss with you.
Jennifer: Oh, okay.
Adrienne: I just got off the phone with my bank, where I recently deposited my lump sum alimony check from Justin, which is quite a bit of a nest egg.
Jennifer: Oh, that's-- that's really terrific.
Adrienne: I know. So I was thinking that maybe...
Adrienne: Mm, I don't know. You and I could work together. You could help out. We could pool our money together and buy the "spectator."
Jennifer: Are you serious?
Jennifer: Wait, you would do that?
Adrienne: [Laughs] Use Kiriakis money to buy an investment out from under them and go into business with you? Oh, I think so. [Chuckles]
Theresa: You know, this is Tate's very first fro-yo, so it's--you know...
Brady: It's important. It's a matter of great delicacy. I understand.
Theresa: It's not to be taken lightly.
Brady: All right, that seems like the winner to me. I think he's gonna like this one.
Theresa: Hang on.
Brady: Here, do you think he would like this one?
Theresa: One second. Let me clear my palate. Okay, hit me.
Brady: You ready? Are you sure?
Theresa: Yeah, hit me. Hit me.
Brady: Come here.
Theresa: Yeah, yum. Cookies and cream, always a solid choice.
Theresa: So... I don't know. You got to try the peanut butter explosion, though, okay?
Brady: I don't know about that one.
Theresa: No, seriously, try it--here. Hmm? Right?
Brady: Okay, that's delicious as well.
Brady: This is gonna be a much harder decision than we thought.
Theresa: I know. [Chuckles]
Brady: By the way, um...
Brady: There was something that I need you to weigh in on that I wanted to talk to you about.
Theresa: Oh, okay.
Brady: It's about us. I think we should move out of the mansion. I'm grateful that Deimos gave us a safe haven to be while those lunatics were running around town, but now... now I think it's time for us to move on. Are you with me? Are you okay? Hello! Hi.
Theresa: Yeah, I, um... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I don't-- I, um-- [Chuckles] You were saying?
Brady: I was just saying that I--look, I don't want to-- I don't want to upset Maggie and grandfather by moving out right away. It doesn't have to be right away. But I think I want to put some feelers out to some real estate agents and maybe find our house, you know. Like, our--our... our home. I want it to be ours. Does that sound good?
Theresa: Yeah, that sounds really--really beautiful, Brady.
Theresa: But, um, you know, just so you know, I'm really comfortable in the mansion. It's gonna be fine there. I like it there. I'm content, you know, as long as I have you and Tate and-- you know, who will be waking up from his nap soon, so we should, you know, probably go pick out his fro-yo and get going.
Brady: Yeah, let's do it.
Theresa: And, you know, by the way, I vote cookies and cream.
Brady: Why don't we do half cookies and cream and half peanut butter boom-- what's it called?
Brady: Explosion. Sorry, one more bite. Okay.
Adrienne: Well? What do you say?
Jennifer: I-- oh, Adrienne, are you sure this is how you want to spend your nest egg?
Adrienne: I wouldn't have offered it if it wasn't. And I promise you, Jenn, if you agree to be editor in chief, the "spectator" will be a respectable publication again...
Adrienne: And very successful.
Jennifer: Oh, my goodness. Well, I mean, how do I say no to that?
Lucas: You can't.
Adrienne: You can't.
Jennifer: Okay, it's a deal.
[Jennifer and Adrienne spit]
Lucas: Oh, ladies, ladies.
Jennifer: We go way back.
Adrienne: Way back.
Jennifer: We go way back.
Brady: Ooh. Baby, we got to go. Come on, we got a potential fro-yo meltdown here. Look. We're gonna have put it in his sippy cup.
Theresa: Hey, actually, would you mind taking that to Tate yourself? I... well, just that the stores are open, and I kind of got bit by the shopping bug, so...
Brady: The shopping bug. Oh, no. All right, fine.
Theresa: Okay, look, I promise I won't be long, okay?
Brady: Deal. Okay, I'll see you.
Theresa: I'll see you at home.
Brady: All right. I love you.
Theresa: I love you too.
Mateo: Hola... mi Jeannie Theresa.
Theresa: Ha pasado mucho tiempo, Mateo.
Maggie: Thank you. Okay.
Jennifer: It is so wonderful to see you up and around again. Oh, my goodness.
Maggie: Oh, me too.
Maggie: It's been such a lovely morning, sharing thanks and prayers with the rest of the community. Of course, I-I can't stop thinking about hope.
Victor: Yes, we were all shocked at her confession, obviously.
Maggie: I can't believe that she killed Stefano.
Victor: Oh, half the citizens of this town have tried.
Jennifer: Yeah. And my heart is breaking for her and for Ciara and Shawn and belle and...
Victor: Well, she'll be in good hands with Justin as her lawyer. He'll take good care of her.
Jennifer: Yeah, I know he will. Well, I'm gonna go inside and just pray for a little bit. It's so good to see you, aunt Maggie. I love you.
Maggie: I love you.
Brady: Sonny, hey. Sonny. Sonny? [Chuckles] You're in the zone, aren't you, man?
Sonny: Oh, Brady, hey. Yeah, sorry.
Brady: No, don't be sorry. You're, uh, taking this family business seriously, I can see.
Sonny: I am. I'm excited that we're all working together.
Brady: Good, good. I am too.
Sonny: Mm-hmm. Got a lecture from uncle Vic that we have to unify.
Brady: Oh. Oh, um, unify the family. Yeah, I got the same speech. I know. I think we will, though.
Sonny: New generation, right?
Brady: That's how I'm looking at it. Integrity, honesty, loyalty to each other-- those kind of things, you know?
Brady: I hope you're still gonna have a life outside of it, though.
Sonny: Outside of the business?
Sonny: Yeah, I'm gonna try.
Brady: I don't mean to pry, but how are things going with-- with Paul?
Sonny: They're okay, I guess. You know, we found a way to be friends. But that's all. But I'm fine with it.
Nancy: Dang it, Chloe. Where are you? [Sighs]
Deimos: This seat taken?
Nancy: It is now.
Deimos: You don't mind, do you?
Nancy: This is new York city. If we got bent out of shape every time a stranger sat down next to us, we'd never take a subway or a bus.
Deimos: [Chuckles] Yeah, that may be true. But you might care once you find out who I am. I'm Deimos Kiriakis. I'm the father of your daughter's baby.
Brady: This is impressive. I mean, this is really good work, sonny.
Sonny: Thank you.
Brady: You're welcome.
Sonny: So, uh, I noticed Theresa was a little frazzled back at the church. Everything okay between you two?
Brady: Look, Theresa lives on the outskirts of "frazzled." I mean, that's how-- that's how she's wired, basically. Things have really been good between us, though, actually.
Sonny: Oh, I'm glad to hear that. That's good.
Brady: Thank you. With Xander out of the picture and all those other lunatics gone, I mean, we've been able to focus on us and our positive future, and I'm-- I couldn't be happier about it. You know what? I'm a damn lucky guy.
Mateo: [Sighs] How much I've missed you. I see you kept up with your Spanish.
Theresa: Yeah, I haven't...
Mateo: Muy bien.
Theresa: Actually. But, um, you know, just seeing you now in the square, it started to come back to me.
Mateo: Oh. Well, I hope that's not all that has started to come back to you.
Theresa: [Clears throat]
Mateo: I was very upset when you ran away from me. Our time together was impossible for me to forget. I always thought of you as part of the family.
Theresa: Well, you know what? It's been years, Mateo. What do you want?
Mateo: In all that time, I've become even more powerful-- and more good-looking, wouldn't you say?
Theresa: Yeah, sure, fine. Just... come on, I have a life now. I mean, do you honestly expect me to just pack up and leave everything behind and just go with you to Mexico?
Mateo: That's exactly what I want.
Theresa: Or what?
Mateo: There is no "or."
Deimos: So you know who I am? Great. That's a good start. Now, where's Chloe?
Nancy: Hmm, I don't think I like your tone. How did you find me?
Deimos: I had Philip followed. Look, I'm not here to threaten you. But your daughter isn't thinking clearly, so you need to tell me where she is.
Nancy: Or what?
Deimos: Let's just say things could get very complicated.
Nancy: Whoa. Well, that sounds like a threat to me. So, uh, why don't you try this on for size, Mr. Big shot Kiriakis? Get the hell away from me, and you leave my daughter alone.
Nicole: Philip, hey! You haven't returned any of my calls.
Philip: I know. I'm sorry. I've been busy.
Nicole: Well, I hope you've been looking for Chloe. I mean, I haven't been able to reach her, and it's driving me nuts.
Philip: I just got back from new York.
Nicole: So you have been looking for her.
Philip: Yeah. No dice. Even her own mother doesn't know where she is.
Nicole: Thank God. Maybe she has been getting my messages.
Philip: So she hasn't called you back?
Nicole: No. And Deimos is on the hunt for her ever since I told him that he's the baby's father.
Nicole: What, what?
Philip: But he's not.
Nicole: He's not what?
Philip: The test Chloe took wasn't doctored. Deimos is not the father.
Nicole: But I thought--
Philip: Well, you thought wrong. Deimos is not the father.
Nicole: Well, if he's not the F... who is?
Philip: Not a clue.
