Theresa: Brady, I'm here. Brady? Brady, where are you? Brady? Brady! No-- [Shaky breathing] Oh! No, please, please. Please don't leave me. No! No, Brady! You can't-- you can't leave. Brady, hi, hi.
Brady: I heard you. What--I'm right here, baby.
Theresa: Hi, hi.
Brady: What's going on with you?
Brady: Hey. Mmm. Remind me to make breakfast more often for you. That was nice.
Theresa: It's just that you weren't here and I-- you made breakfast?
Brady: Yeah. I did.
Theresa: What's the occasion?
Brady: Well, it's the first day of our honeymoon. What are you talking about?
Theresa: Did I miss something? Was there a wedding?
Brady: We exchanged vows in this very room.
Theresa: Yeah, unofficially, mister.
Brady: Yeah, well, officially, you are my wife. In my heart, you're my wife, and officially, I'm the luckiest guy in the world.
Nicole: Well, cheers to the end of hell as we knew it. [Chuckles]
Nicole: You know, still, just sitting here like this, it almost feels like this whole thing never happened.
Deimos: Oh, it happened.
Nicole: And you've got the scars to prove it. Does it still hurt?
Deimos: Nah. I'll get over it.
Nicole: Will you ever get over killing Xander?
Deimos: Well, like I told you, I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe. What was that for?
Nicole: Keeping your promise.
Blanca: You probably shouldn't even be out after what you've been through.
Dario: I'm fine, thanks to your healing touch. Besides, I wanted to make sure you could handle my moves sitting down before I took you dancing.
Nicole: Hi. I need to talk to you.
Dario: In case you didn't notice, I'm not alone.
Nicole: Well, I'm sorry. This can't wait.
Dario: I'm surprised you'd ditch your date to interrupt mine.
Nicole: Okay, I told Deimos this wouldn't take long. First of all, I just start by saying that I'm glad you're okay.
Dario: Look, I know there's something on your mind, unless you're-- unless you're trying to get me away from my date.
Nicole: I am so not jealous. And I wanted to talk to you because I know you went behind my back and took a job with Deimos to spy on Chloe.
Dario: Now wait a minute.
Nicole: No, no, no, don't even try to deny it, because I know you broke into her place. Deimos already admitted it.
Dario: That guy's got a lot of nerve ratting me out.
Nicole: He didn't rat you out. He only spilled after I told him I over heard you two talking.
Dario: Okay, so, you're mad at me because I spied on Chloe, but you only knew about that because you were spying on me? I trusted you. I thought you were a decent guy.
Dario: I am. I was only keeping an eye on Deimos for you.
Nicole: Deimos said the same thing.
Dario: Oh, look at that. For once, the guy's telling the truth. And, for the record, I think if you keep seeing him, you're gonna get hurt. As your friend, I was trying to prevent that.
Nicole: Thank you. I can take care of myself. And you know what? If you and I are gonna continue to be friends, you need to respect my choices.
Dario: Are you happy?
Nicole: I am.
Dario: Okay, then. That's all I want.
Deimos: And that makes two of us. Is there anything going on out here I should know about? Then we wad it up to make it nice and soft.
Dario: Nicole didn't like me working for you.
Nicole: No. What I didn't like was you spying on Chloe and breaking into her hotel room.
Deimos: Well, I believe we've already been through this. Dario was only doing what he was paid to do.
Nicole: That doesn't make it right.
Deimos: I thought Chloe was lying about her baby not being mine. Now that I know I was wrong, I admit that I crossed a line. I'm just hoping in time everyone, including Chloe, will see that my intentions were pure, even if my methods weren't exactly so.
Chloe: Philip and I--we have not been together, and the father of this baby is Deimos.
Nicole: Fine. Let's just go back inside.
Deimos: All right, I would love to, but Philip just called. He wants to see me down at the docks. So, look, why don't you go inside? I've already paid for breakfast. Sit and enjoy, all right? I'll see you later.
Nicole: Go ahead. Say it.
Dario: Are we done--
Nicole: You still think you're right about Deimos.
Dario: Are we done here?
Dario: I'd like to get back to my date.
Nicole: Well, she is beautiful. [Scoffs]
Maggie: It was so nice of you to make a house call, Dr. Chen. Would you stay for a cup of coffee or tea?
Chen: Oh, thank you, but I really must go.
Victor: But we haven't discussed how Maggie's doing: If she's on schedule, if there's anything, any exercises she should be doing to speed things up.
Chen: Your wife has made remarkable progress. However, I do have one concern.
Philip: After all these years, I believe titan knows your shipping needs better than DiMera, and we're willing to do whatever it takes-- all right, well, call before you make the final decision-- all right, then I'll call-- [Breathes deeply]
Deimos: Another defector?
Philip: Forget bringing in new business. We can barely hold on to what we have, thanks to Brady's bungled raid.
Deimos: I was really hoping the panic would've died down by now.
Philip: If anything, it's growing, which is why I think we should call in the big guns.
Deimos: No. I told you Victor already has enough on his plate right now getting Maggie settled back in.
Philip: But he established these relationships. He has a long history with the players.
Deimos: And if he wanted to be involved, he wouldn't have authorized me to represent titan in his absence.
Philip: Even though you don't officially work there.
Deimos: And neither do you. But that hasn't stopped you from trying to keep it up and running.
Philip: I've been thinking maybe I should be back in an official capacity.
Deimos: Well, that's fine with me. But considering Victor's the one that threw you out, I'm not sure how badly he wants you back in right now.
Philip: That's why I asked you to meet. You said yourself you caused the riff between me and Victor. You could make up for that by convincing him to give me a second chance. Talk up my business expertise, that I'd be a real asset. Especially now with this recent crisis, I think that the most important thing's--
Deimos: No. Absolutely not.
Blanca: Nope!Oney on me.
Dario: What is that about, anyway?
Blanca: Well, a guy who pays a girl's way makes assumptions.
Guillermo: Hola, Blanca.
Blanca: What the hell are you doing here?
Philip: Wow. Didn't expect that response.
Deimos: You're taking this the wrong way.
Philip: Not too many ways to take the word "no."
Deimos: I think you going back to titan is a great idea. But you said yourself, I'm the one responsible for Victor throwing you out. Now, me going to him on your behalf would only remind him of that fact. And it might even cause him to wonder if the two of us are teaming up against him again.
Philip: You have a point.
Deimos: Yeah, right? Now, I've already gone on your behalf and pushed the envelope, inviting you to move into the mansion. Now, I did that in the hopes that the two of you under the same roof might force a reconciliation.
Philip: Hasn't worked so far.
Deimos: Yeah, all right. But now, if you go to Victor and ask to be part of the family business again, it might just do that. At the very least, it could reopen the lines of communication between the two of you. But just don't expect Victor to jump on board right away.
Philip: The more I think about it, the more I wonder if trying to repair what's broken between me and my dad is nothing but a big waste of time.
Victor: I thought you said she was doing fine.
Chen: It's true. By all accounts, there's no reason why she would need her wheelchair or crutches. She seems to have completely healed. Physically, that is. Psychologically, there seems to be a block.
Maggie: Are you saying I want to use this chair?
Chen: Not on a conscious level, no.
Maggie: There is nothing that I want more than to stand on my own.
Victor: Maybe we should give it another shot. Would you do that for me?
Brady: Packing breakfast was a good idea, because all that indoor celebrating kind of got me ravenous, and--
Brady: Oh, hey, this is-- this is perfect. This is nice. Perfect spot right here, okay?
Theresa: All right.
Brady: Here. That's you, my beautiful bride-to-be with my beautiful son. This is the perfect spot. Have a seat.
Theresa: You're in a funny mood.
Brady: I'm in a good mood.
Theresa: [Laughing] Okay.
Brady: It's a good day. It's a perfect day. I have my perfect bride-to-be. I have my perfect son. I have my perfect wedding that we're going to plan. I love it. Life's good.
Theresa: Well, there's not really that much to plan. I mean, everything was already in place before-- you know, before it fell apart.
Brady: You know what the most perfect thing about it is?
Brady: There's no Xander or anybody else that's going to ruin it for us. Remember that.
Brady: But you're still scared, and I can tell.
Theresa: It's not that I'm scared. It's just-- I guess I was just traumatized by everything that happened. I mean, and who wouldn't be? So, you know, I'm just a little gun-shy.
Brady: Completely. Hey, it's understandable. But remember: He's gone. Xander's gone. And he can't ever bother you again. He can't touch you.
Theresa: Right--yeah, I know that, yeah.
Brady: So, why don't we just agree that that--that attack and everything that happened-- it doesn't define who we are. It doesn't dictate our happiness, okay? I know you can't forget about it. I don't expect you to forget, but I can help you move on. We can move on--
Theresa: Brady, I can't move on from that. We can't. I just-- not until I tell you the truth.
Dario: Wait a minute-- is this the guy? The guy from your past who was trying to track you down? The one you never wanted to see again?
Blanca: And I still don't. You have to leave.
Guillermo: Oh, eres un poco emocional, querida.
Blanca: I can't believe you had the nerves to follow me here.
Guillermo: Hey, you left without saying good-bye. I've been going crazy looking for you.
Blanca: You were already crazy.
Guillermo: Look, I know I messed up.
Blanca: I caught you in bed with another woman.
Guillermo: You don't know the whole story.
Blanca: I know enough.
Guillermo: Y un poco de apoyo, amigo?
Dario: You're on your own... amigo.
Guillermo: Give me a chance--
Blanca: Don't touch me.
Guillermo: To explain.
Blanca: Only if you explain why you were also in bed with a major drug cartel. You know what? On second thought, don't explain anything. Just go.
Guillermo: Hey, you should watch what you say.
Blanca: Don't touch me.
Guillermo: You know that.
Dario: Are you gonna respect what Blanca's asking you, or are you and I gonna have a problem?
Theresa: I never meant to hurt you.
Brady: You never meant to hurt me? What--talk to me. What--what are you talking about? What "truth" are you talking about?
Theresa: Look, Xander... trying to rape me didn't happen.
Brady: I don't understand.
Theresa: I made it up.
Brady: You lied--what-- why would you lie about something like that?
Theresa: Because of you, Brady--because I wanted you to care about me, okay? And I wanted you to want to protect me, and when I said that Xander attacked me, you did all of that.
Brady: So, he went to prison for a crime that he didn't commit?
Theresa: Yes, I know. Yes, and I hate myself for it.
Brady: Um... [Sighs]
Theresa: Brady, I just-- I decided to come clean, okay? Because, well, I just-- I figured that if I told you, and you hate me, or you decide that you can't forgive me, then I'm gonna have to deal with that. But I guess it's better than living every day wondering and just expecting the worst to happen.
Brady: Theresa, I hate that you lied. I really do. But Xander was on his way to prison with or without you.
Theresa: Yeah, I know, and look, he should've gone to prison for what he did to Eric and Nicole, but I should not have lied to you, Brady--
Brady: No, you shouldn't have lied, Theresa, but here's the deal--here's the deal: You were a different person back then. Hell, I've done so much in my past that I'm not proud of. I've hurt so many people that I ca-- I don't even want to think about or remember those times, but you--the reason I'm a different person is because of you. Because of what we have in our relationship, and Tate and our family. I don't like what you did. I don't. But I'm not gonna stop loving you because of something.
Theresa: And I'm not gonna stop love you. Ever, ever, ever. And I promise you that I'm not gonna keep any more secrets from you, okay? 'Cause I'm never ever gonna risk losing you.
Brady: Well, good, because I'm in this for the long haul, so you're stuck with me.
Theresa: Mm. [Laughs] Till death do us part?
Brady: Whatever. Maybe beyond that. Who knows?
Theresa: Yeah, who knows?
Julie: I'm sorry to intrude, Victor, but I just got a call from Maggie, and she sounded so upset, but she wouldn't tell me why.
Victor: I'm glad you came. Come on in.
Julie: Is she here? I'll just go up and see her, or wherever she is--
Victor: Actually, her doctor just left.
Julie: Bad news?
Victor: No, actually, it was good. According to Dr. Chen, she should be able to walk on her own.
Julie: That's wonderful.
Victor: Except she can't. The doctor thinks it's some sort of a mental block.
Julie: That may make sense, given her history.
Victor: What are you talking about?
Julie: Oh, Victor, you should know... years ago, she had a surgery to regain the use of her legs, and afterwards, the doctor said it was a medical success. But she still couldn't walk.
Victor: Well, did they ever find out why?
Julie: It was quite simple, really. She was afraid.
Victor: What? Falling? Reinjuring herself? What?
Julie: Nothing so logical. You know, Maggie, for all her beauty and her accomplishments, she has issues with self-esteem. And back then, she thought she'd lose Mickey to another woman. I don't know. Maybe she thought that if she was completely dependent on him, he wouldn't stray.
Victor: That's never been an issue with us.
Julie: I-- I'm sure you're faithful to her. But that doesn't mean that Maggie isn't afraid of losing you. Unconsciously, this may be her way to deal with her fear.
Victor: You're saying she's literally afraid of standing on her own?
Julie: I'm not a psychiatrist. I've just known her and loved her for decades. And that does make sense. So, Victor, you have to find a way to make her feel safe again.
Victor: I tell her all the time how much I love her, how much I need her.
Julie: I bet she hears every word, and understands in her mind that you're not going anywhere. But she's got to feel it, Victor, deep in her heart.
Victor: So, she's still afraid that I'll leave? When this happened before, what did Mickey do?
Julie: He gave her a pair of red dancing shoes, a symbol of his love and of their future together. I already tried that. Obviously it didn't work. Damn, I feel so helpless.
Julie: Victor, you're hardly that. You need to look into your heart. It will tell you how to reach hers.
Deimos: Victor can certainly be a difficult man to reach.
Philip: You're telling me that?
Deimos: That doesn't mean you just walk away. Honestly, I would give anything to have the chance you have right now to make things right. I resented Victor for being the apple of our father's eye. I was considered nothing but damaged goods, a mistake my father was constantly forced to acknowledge.
Philip: I'm sorry about that.
Deimos: Mm. You know, it wasn't until I finally realized that I was a worthwhile person that I was able to rise above my father's low opinion of me, toss away all that anger, finally allow myself to get close to someone. For the first time in my life, I feel like love isn't a weapon, something to be withheld or exchanged for obedience.
Philip: Sounds like making peace with your past really got you in touch with your feelings.
Deimos: My past wasn't the only thing that did that. Bottom line, Philip, the bond between a father and son--it's way too important to dismiss so lightly. Between us, I think that was the real reason why I was so desperately wanting Chloe's baby to be mine. I thought that if I could be the father I never had to my own son, then maybe finally I'd be able to heal all those old wounds.
Guillermo: I'd like to see you try and make me leave.
Dario: Don't think I can? I make my living throwing losers twice your size out of bars.
Guillermo: Yeah? Bring it on.
Blanca: Stop! Guillermo, you need to leave and never come back, okay?
Guillermo: You don't mean that.
Blanca: You and I are over. There's nothing for you here.
Guillermo: We'll see about that.
Blanca: This town has enough. The people here are not gonna put up with your stupid things.
Guillermo: You know I'm not scared of the cops... on either side of the border.
Blanca: No? What about your boss, hm? Are you scared of him? What do you think he will do when I tell him you were getting a little bit for yourself?
Guillermo: I told you I didn't do that.
Blanca: And I told you I have proof. And I kept it just in case you have trouble getting a "no" for an answer. We both know Mateo is not the type of boss to forgive and forget.
Philip: You're home.
Victor: Where else would I be?
Philip: No, I just thought-- [Clears throat] Never mind. Since you are here, there's something I'd like to talk to you about.
Victor: Not now, Philip.
Philip: Of course not. No. What was I thinking? What did Maggie's doctor say?
Victor: How'd you know Dr. Chen was here?
Philip: She was coming up the drive when I left earlier. Is everything okay?
Victor: No, everything is not okay.
Philip: Want to talk about it?
Victor: Dr. Chen seems to think that Maggie is completely healed, that she should be able to walk on her own.
Philip: That's great, isn't it?
Victor: Yes, it would be if she could. Can't seem to-- doesn't seem to want to. I don't know. Julie thinks it's-- she thinks that it's because of her fear.
Philip: Fear of what?
Victor: Fear of losing me. Apparently, I have to find some way of showing her that she has no need to be afraid, reassure her that I'll be here no matter what.
Philip: I know how much you love Maggie. I'm surprised she doesn't already know that.
Victor: So am I. But apparently I have to do more.
Philip: Showing your love isn't as hard as it sounds. Could be as simple as a shift in thinking. Being willing to make a small change like that could mean the world to someone.
Victor: It's not exactly a small change. I think it might work.
Philip: Want to run it by me?
Victor: I... I want to be able to spend more time with her. Of course, that means I'll have to take a step back at titan, give somebody else in the family a chance to run it.
Nicole: Chloe, please pick up the phone this time.
Chloe: Hey, this is Chloe. You know what to do.
Nicole: I don't want to leave a message!
Nicole: Chloe, hi. It's me again. I mean, I don't know why you're not returning my phone calls, but I really need to talk to you. It's about the baby. And I know I promised I would keep your secret, but the more I think about it, the stronger I feel that Deimos needs to know the truth.
Nicole: I need you to call me back now.
Deimos: Nicole? What are you doing here?
Maggie: You must be disappointed in me.
Victor: No, that is something that I could never be. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I snapped at you and Dr. Chen earlier. I just don't know what's wrong with me.
Victor: There is nothing wrong with you. You are perfect. Why else would I be wanting to spend all my time with you?
Maggie: That's very sweet.
Victor: No, I'm serious. I've made a decision. I'm going to retire from titan, and spend all my time making you better.
Maggie: But you can't do that.
Victor: Of course I can. It's my company. I can do whatever I want. God knows there are enough viable candidates standing in the wings waiting to take my place.
Maggie: You really mean it?
Victor: I only want one focus in my life right now, and that focus is you. I will move heaven and earth to make you well. You'll see. Soon enough, we'll be dancing the night away just the way we used to.
Maggie: Well, maybe we can try a little dancing now.
Victor: Do you feel up to it?
Maggie: Well... [Sobs] My rock. You're my rock.
Brady: God, at this rate, he's gonna sleep through Halloween.
Theresa: Oh, shoot, I forgot to get him a costume...I--
Brady: Baby, you don't have to get him a costume. He's only-- he's not into Halloween yet.
Theresa: I know, I know, but it would be so cute, and you know what, I saw a pumpkin costume in one of these windows, but they're all boarded up.
Brady: You're gonna dress him as a pumpkin?
Theresa: Yeah, wouldn't that be so cute?
Theresa: I just--I-- oh, which store was it?
Philip: I thought about you three this morning, how much I'm gonna miss you guys when you move into your own place.
Brady: [Clears throat] Yeah, you're gonna miss being woken up by my son every morning when he's crying, right?
Philip: Are you kidding? I'm gonna miss that sound like crazy. I'm not a big fan of quiet.
Brady: Well, it's never gonna be all that quiet, you know.
Philip: Yeah, I suppose that's true. I guess Victor's gonna be in the mansion a lot more now.
Brady: Now that Maggie's out of the hospital, I figured he'd be at titan full-time now.
Philip: Not if he retires.
Brady: [Laughs] Did he actually say that? He also said maybe it was time to give someone in the family a chance to run the company.
Brady: Did he mention who that someone might be?
Philip: No. But I plan to convince him that I'm the man for the job. Any good word you could offer up on my behalf would be much appreciated.
Philip: Okay, that's the second look between you two. Am I being paranoid, or is there something to it?
Brady: No, you're not par-- Philip, come on. You're not the--not the only viable candidate here, all right?
Philip: Well, who-- wait, not you.
Brady: Yeah, maybe me, Philip. I did run the company for years. Pretty smoothly, I might add.
Philip: And you spent one fateful night tearing it apart.
Brady: Why don't you-- why don't you let that thing go? Let it go, okay?
Philip: Your bad decision has cost titan millions already. Do you honestly think my father's gonna trust you with the top spot after that fiasco?
Brady: You know, the last time--if I recall, the last time you were at the top spot of the company, you ended up stabbing Victor in the back. Am I wrong about that?
Philip: At least I didn't leave in a huff because he didn't like my girlfriend.
Brady: You're such a son of a--
Theresa: Okay, you know what, you guys, just stop, stop, stop. You're gonna wake up Tate. Look, good luck, Philip.
Brady: Yeah. Hey, may the best man win, right?
Philip: Right back at you, Brady.
Brady: Why do I think this is gonna get ugly?
Theresa: You know what? No one deserves to be CEO of titan more than you do, and I'm sure that when the time comes, Victor's gonna see that too, all right?
Brady: Yeah. I'm glad you're sure.
Theresa: Hey, I am. 'Cause you know what?
Theresa: If we can get through everything that we've been through with no problem, we can make all of our dreams come true together.
Guillermo: You talk big, chica. But you wouldn't rat me out to Mateo. No way you'd cut me like that.
Blanca: Like you cut me with your lies? If you don't go on your own, I will do whatever it takes to make you go.
Dario: You know, instead of Mateo, how about I contact my brother, Rafe? He's a detective here with the Salem police department, and I bet instead of Blanca listening to your smack, he would be super interested in hearing what you have to say, especially about your cartel connections.
Guillermo: Okay, okay, okay. I got it. I'll leave. When you change your mind, you know where to find me.
Blanca: Don't hold your breath.
Dario: Talk about a guy who can't take "no" for an answer. What did you see-- hey, whoa, are you okay? Come here. You're shaking. You okay? Shh, shh, shh, shh.
Blanca: Thanks for sticking up for me. [Exhales deeply]
Dario: You held your own fine without my help. But how did a girl like you end up with such a lowlife like that?
Blanca: [Sighs] I feel embarrassed to say it, but I really thought I was in love with him, until I found out everything was a lie. Truth is Guillermo is a bad guy, and he's in deep trouble with some dangerous people. Sorry.
Guillermo: Damn bitch, threatening to tell my boss. She's gonna regret this.
Well, what do you know? Hey, it's me. You'll never guess who I just found. Theresa Donovan.
Victor: That's fine. Lean on me. That's what I'm here for.
Maggie: I'm not sure this is considered dancing.
Victor: Feels fine to me.
Maggie: [Chuckles] I can barely move.
Victor: That's all right. That's what I'm here for.
Nicole: Oh... you left this at the pub.
Deimos: Oh. [Laughs] Wow. Well, how lucky am I?
Deimos: Mm-hm. To have someone so considerate.
Nicole: Oh. How did your talk go with Philip? Actually quite well.
Nicole: Oh, so, good for titan?
Deimos: No. Unfortunately not. But for my nephew and me, it felt like a breakthrough of sorts. I mean, obviously, I felt bad that I used him to get to Victor when I first came to town, but he seems to have gotten over that, and whatever tension there was between us over Chloe's baby. I don't know. I felt like talking to Philip just now and giving him advice, it kind of felt like he was the son I never had.
Nicole: I--I can't do this.
Deimos: Do what?
Nicole: Deimos, there is something I have to tell you, and I have kept this secret from you long enough.
