Gabi: Here you go.
Paul: What is this?
Gabi: Well, the St. Luke's sodality ladies have been taking over the kitchen, because Caroline can't be working around the clock. I'm pretty sure it's Mrs. Wilkerson's chicken surprise.
Gabi: It's good?
Paul: The surprise is that it's not bad.
Gabi: Yeah, well, the regular supplier can't make it because of the roadblocks. I really miss that chowder.
Paul: Hmm. Well, I know that the pub's feeding the FBI guys and the cops, and you're here most of the time according to them. I mean, they think you're an angel.
Gabi: Oh, I'm not-- I'm not an angel. You know, with these three convicts trying to bring down the whole town, I think I'd just--I'd rather be busy, especially since Arianna's being looked after at the hospital with the rest of the kids.
Paul: Can you sit down for a minute?
Gabi: Uh, yeah, I think I can get off my feet for a little while before the next wave hits.
Paul: What have you heard from Rafe?
Gabi: Not much. He's either living at the station, or he's on patrol.
Paul: Does that mean you're at Rafe's home alone?
Gabi: No, no, I'm safe. I feel safe. I'm either here and surrounded by cops, or I'm over at Chad's, and you know, he's got that place like fort Knox.
Chad: Look, I'm--I'm sorry to drag you guys down here so early. I know you guys were up with Thomas all night.
Adrienne: Oh, no, I didn't mind. I didn't mind.
Chad: I know, but--
Adrienne: He senses something's wrong.
Chad: It's something that I should--I should be doing myself, and I'm sorry.
Lucas: No, no, man, you got a lot on your shoulders right now. You need to get your rest.
Chad: Look, I wanted to talk to you guys first thing, because I've-- I've got some news.
Adrienne: Not more bad news?
Chad: Depends on how you look at it. Now that Joey's safe, john and your brother are sick of waiting around for Clyde and his men to make their move.
Lucas: So what do they want to do?
Chad: Go after them, starting with Clyde.
Adrienne: Go after him how?
Chad: Well, I'll get to the details in a minute, but what I want you guys to know is that...they've asked the three of us to--to play a major part in their plan, and it's gonna be dangerous. God knows what these guys are willing to do now that they don't have hostages. They didn't get their money.
Lucas: So they got nothing to lose, right? They're gonna blow themselves up and the whole town with them?
Chad: Unless we get to them first.
André: I've been waiting for your call. Yes, I know the cell service has been spotty, but just tell me one thing. Is it ready? Well, that's what I wanted to hear. So I'll meet you at the usual place? No, Chad is not gonna be with me, and he's none of your concern. No, neither he nor anyone else knows about this, and you make sure of that. Yeah, because I may need it at a moment's notice.
André: Well, that's what I wanted to hear.
Orpheus: What is this slop?
Xander: Oatmeal. It's all Clyde and I could swipe from the store before the clerk made us.
Orpheus: You're incompetent, both of you.
Clyde: Us? We'd be millionaires right now if you hadn't blown getting the ransom money.
Xander: Clyde's right. We should be sitting on a beach somewhere drinking champagne and celebrating the fact that every enemy of ours in this town is dead.
Orpheus: And we can still achieve that. I suggest we sit down together and plan our next move--
Clyde: Screw planning. I'm going it alone.
Orpheus: That would be very, very stupid.
Clyde: What's stupid is sitting here listening to you run your mouth about some big plan. I want action, so I'm gonna settle some scores. I'm gonna kill that bastard Chad DiMera, and I'm gonna grab my grandson before this day is out.
Gabi: So have you had a chance to talk to sonny?
Paul: Yeah, I spoke with him yesterday after Joey got rescued, but only for a couple of minutes, and now he's not returning my calls.
Gabi: Yeah, we've had spotty service, but he's also feeling overwhelmed with all the family responsibilities. He's got a lot on his mind, a lot he's worried about.
Paul: Yeah, like the Kiriakis shootout debacle at the pier?
Gabi: Yeah, I overheard Chad talking about that. Was sonny involved in that?
Paul: He was, and he's upset with Chad for moving into the Kiriakis territory.
Gabi: You know, now is not the time for friends to be fighting.
Paul: No, I agree, but I don't know what to do about it.
Gabi: You know what? Maybe I do.
Xander: This town is crawling with cops and feds.
Clyde: Well, just another reason for us to split up. You ever heard of divide and conquer?
Xander: We said we'd be a team.
Clyde: [Scoffs] And every time the three of us put our heads together, they nearly get blown off, so I'm gonna take my chances solo, and who knows? Maybe I'll create enough of a diversion to help you two losers out. I'm gonna steal some baby stuff for Thomas, and I'm gonna grab that sweet boy, who I know has been missing his daddy something awful. Now, say what you will about Ben. He was a good daddy to his son, which says a lot about a man, you know? Hell, he was so happy when he found out that baby was coming. Well, you know, I--I know I did something right.
Orpheus: Oh, I wouldn't be so sure about that-- your having done something right, that is.
Clyde: Don't you get all snide with me about that. Not about that.
Orpheus: Sensitive subject, is it?
Clyde: My son and my grandson mean the world to me. Everything that I do is to help them out, is to better their life.
Orpheus: Well, giving your son Ben a better life shouldn't be that tricky, given that he's in prison for murder. Nowhere to go but up, really.
Clyde: You shut the hell up.
Orpheus: I'm just saying--
Clyde: I'm saying you shut up.
Orpheus: I can--I can picture you now, shooting your way into the DiMera compound, pistol in one hand and disposable nappies in the other.
Clyde: Yeah, it's not gonna be a problem. My boy got past them and their guards, and I will too.
Orpheus: I guess I need to remind you again, Clyde. Your boy ended up in a federal penitentiary. I don't want you getting caught and leading the police back here.
Clyde: Well, I don't give a damn what you want.
Y'all take care now, you hear?
Chad: What Clyde wants most is Thomas, so he's gonna be headed here at some point.
Lucas: And that can happen at any time; you said yourself. I mean, they're desperate now.
Adrienne: But you have all this security.
Chad: Yeah, and they're on high alert, but they've been known to fail, and Clyde is clever, so if he uses that "good old boy" routine and somehow sneaks past the guards or, god forbid, finds the tunnels, he's gonna kill anybody in his way, especially me.
Lucas: Just proves how sick he really is.
Chad: If he gets to me, I... you two are the only people Thomas has.
Adrienne: We'll take care of him.
Lucas: Yeah, we'll guard him with our lives.
Chad: I know what I'm asking. He's not your son.
Lucas: It's my--my late niece's son's family, man. It's the same thing.
Adrienne: That's right. He's got Jennifer, JJ, and us.
Chad: You guys are amazing. Thank you. Now, I don't know what's gonna happen, but it's probably gonna be soon. You have four sons to think of. You have a daughter, and it's probably gonna go down today.
Lucas: Yeah, today makes one year since will died.
Chad: If you need to back out--
Lucas: No, no, I'm good. I'm good. I can help. Getting even with Ben Weston's old man would make the day a little bit easier for me.
Adrienne: And we're not leaving you alone in this house with Thomas, and that's all I've got to say about that.
Lucas: Yeah, I wouldn't argue with this one. She's a real force of nature.
Chad: Okay, here's the plan. My belly pain and constipation?
Hope: I just--I can't believe we haven't caught these guys.
Rafe: Well, we're gonna catch them. They're gonna screw up.
Rafe: Is that Aiden? What is he, checking up on you?
Hope: I'm on duty.
Aiden: But you have to take a break. I was hoping we could get together.
Hope: I'll think about it. I have to go.
Rafe: You'll think--what do you mean, you'll think about it? Do not let him boss you around. Would you please--
Hope: I'm not.
Rafe: Would you let me deal with him?
Hope: Stop it, no.
Hope: You're as vulnerable as I am right now, and so is roman.
Rafe: No, but hope, come on--
Hope: Aiden could destroy your life. Stop it.
Rafe: He's not gonna destroy my life. I'm actually looking forward to dealing with him.
Hope: I have to go this alone, okay? This is my cross to bear.
Rafe: But you're not--please, do not talk like that.
Hope: It's the truth. It's--it's the truth. You can't fix this. Please.
Rafe: But what are you gonna do?
Hope: I don't know. I--all I know is, I can't keep doing what I've been doing. No, not anymore.
Gabi: He's here.
Sonny: Hey, your message sounded like something was really wrong.
Gabi: Yeah, something's wrong.
Sonny: You look fine to me. The cops don't want people on the streets. What's going on?
Gabi: Just chill. Look, there's some food on the counter. Eat first, and then we'll talk.
Paul: This isn't starting out well, and I have a feeling it's about to get worse.
Chad: What the hell is so important? Do you have any idea what is going on out there?
Gabi: Yeah, well-- [Clears throat]
Chad: Really? Okay. So I'm guessing you got the same message as me.
Gabi: Yeah, yeah, and I don't care if you're mad at me. Both of you need to stop being mad at each other.
Chad: I'm not mad at sonny. It's j--it's business.
Sonny: It's felt personal to me.
Chad: Look, Brady trying to ambush--ambush your cousin Xander and his pals, that was stupid. Doing it on the docks where titan unloads its ships was even dumber. It's you and your family's fault that the clients and investors went running for the hills, not mine.
Gabi: If I could just get a word--
Sonny: Oh, yeah, and you and Kate and André just took advantage of that after I begged you not to.
Chad: I'm trying to get DiMera back on its feet.
Sonny: Yeah, well, I thought you were gonna make it legit in Abigail's memory. Whatever happened to that?
Chad: It's completely legit to take advantage of a competitor's stupidity.
Gabi: Okay, both of you stop. Just shut the hell up. Stop. We are all scared, and everyone is being stretched to their breaking point, so now is not the time to be reckless or lame.
Chad: I have a son to think of.
Gabi: Yes, you do, so why don't you set a good example?
Sonny: Thank you.
Gabi: And you? You have a daughter to think about, remember? Her name is Arianna grace, and she has only one daddy left? So please, why don't you start thinking about yourself, and you stop listening to that crackpot Deimos? We need each other right now, and you guys have been friends forever.
Paul: You started a business together. You trusted each other.
Gabi: You grieved for will and Abigail together.
Sonny: I will miss will and Abigail to the day I die, but I don't know what they have to do with this.
Chad: Abby--Abby never wanted me getting involved with all this family crap.
Sonny: You know, will, he, uh--he said the same thing about my family.
Gabi: Do you think that they'd like the way you've been acting?
Sonny: [Sighs] You know, we're not kids throwing potshots at the grownups. I mean, we are the grownups.
Gabi: Or you should be.
Chad: All right, well, you seem to have all the answers. What do we do?
André: Are you going to a baby shower, Clyde?
I didn't think you'd be the type.
Clyde: Who the hell are you, and how do you know my name?
André: Everybody knows your name. You're in the paper. Well, you were in the paper when we had a paper, before your lot decided to cut the power to the printing press. We couldn't even use our electronic toy.
Clyde: Who are you?
André: I'm André DiMera.
Clyde: DiMera? You mean there's another one of you?
André: Oh, yeah, my father was quite the ladies' man.
Clyde: Your father was a murderin' son of a bitch, and I'm betting the only way he got a woman into bed--
André: Don't say another word about my father.
Clyde: Oh. [Laughs] Didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I apologize for speaking ill of the dead, so let me restrict my comments to the DiMeras that are alive and kicking. I don't discriminate. I hate every one of you.
André: Yeah, well, I suppose I understand, but I'm quite the mellow fellow. Zen, if you will. I don't allow people's dislikes and likes worry me. It's a waste of time and energy.
Clyde: No, no, no. I said hatred. That's a whole different animal than dislike.
André: Yeah, well, that's your choice.
Clyde: What are you doing here?
André: Oh, I come here to think, meditate, count my blessings.
Clyde: Your blessings? Oh, you got blessings, do you?
André: Oh, yeah, I'm a very lucky fellow, Clyde, and I hope to be even luckier.
Clyde: Well, you better--
André: I had no idea-- wait there. I didn't know you were here.
Clyde: Now, that's a load of bull, 'cause I've been running circles around the cops and the FBI, and all of a sudden you pop up knowing who I am? Who are you working for?
André: Well, maybe I just have magical powers.
Clyde: Well, they'd best be damn magical, 'cause I'm real close to throwing your ass into that river.
André: Oh, you wouldn't want to do that... because the truth of the matter is, I sought you out because I have a business proposition.
Clyde: You do? [Chuckles] Well, I am an old hand at doing business with DiMeras, hmm? So this better be good. Go ahead and talk business.
Hope: I need help.
Jennifer: Okay. What's going on? Is it about the manhunt, or--
Hope: No, no, no, no, see, that's--that's the same. I'm here on break right now.
Jennifer: Is it personal? Is it something about you and Rafe?
Hope: No, no. It's something much bigger than that, and I'm going crazy. I'm going crazy, out of my mind trying--trying to figure out how the hell I'm gonna deal with this.
Jennifer: What is going on? Tell me.
Hope: I... the person... the person who killed Stefano isn't the man who confessed. It's me. I killed Stefano. I shot him dead in his own house, and then I covered it up, and now Aiden knows about it.
Jennifer: Wait. Wait, Aiden, how?
Hope: Oh, my god. He suspected something, and, my god, he played me. He totally played me. He set me up. He recorded a conversation, a private conversation that I thought I was having.
Aiden: I want you to admit that you killed Stefano.
Hope: How many times do I have to tell you? I didn't kill Stefano. Aiden, I didn't kill Stefano. I think I did that, and it was wrong. I lost it. I snapped. I shot Stefano, and then I dragged you into the cover-up.
Aiden: You want to talk about an investigation? The cable news channels would love a story like this, especially when the fact comes out that roman, who's your brother-in-law, a police commissioner, helped you cover it up, send an innocent man to prison for a crime that you committed.
Hope: André is hardly innocent.
Aiden: Oh, oh, I see, so André's the bad man, and you're not. So tell me, what did roman say, hmm? Who cares if he goes to prison for a crime that he didn't commit, hmm? Is that what passes for justice here in Salem? What about Rafe? Rafe. Just think about what'll happen to him when it comes out that he's the one that helped you move Stefano's body. His life will be destroyed. So, hope, you maybe don't want to save yourself. Do you really want to destroy Rafe and roman's lives?
Hope: And in that conversation, I admitted to killing Stefano, and now he's blackmailing me.
Jennifer: I--I don't-- I don't know what to say.
Hope: What are you gonna say? What does some--oh, my god, what is... I am so in over my head. I have no idea. What--what am I-- what am I gonna do?
Jennifer: Hey, just wait. You said that Aiden was trying to blackmail you. What does he want? I mean, does he want money?
Hope: What do you think he wants? What do you think--he wants me, me to love him, to love him!
Jennifer: No. That is impossible, hope. No.
Hope: That's what I keep telling him. He's not rational. If I don't do what he wants, he could destroy...
he could destroy a lot of lives.
Chad: Our families may be messed up, but they're still our families.
Paul: I know sonny a lot better than I know you, but one thing that I can see about you is that you try and do the right thing.
Gabi: Most of the time.
Paul: And--and sonny, I'm-- he's got this built-in thing about him where injustice drives him nuts. You're trying to do the right thing for your family. Sonny thinks that what you're doing to his family's unjust. Now, have I--have I got this right?
Sonny: Yeah, pretty much.
Gabi: You know, after I left those messages, I found this in my purse. You guys remember?
Chad: Is that our old TBD ness card?
Sonny: You saved it?
Gabi: I remember when you guys opened that place, and, you know, you put up the money.
Chad: Well, sonny had the experience.
Gabi: The point is, you trusted each other, and it worked. Please don't let the pressure of this sink a wonderful friendship.
[Soft acoustic guitar]
Chad: Gabi's right. I need all the friends I can get right now. I've been making the wrong decisions. I have Clyde Weston trying to take my son, and I'm scared.
Sonny: It's gonna be all right. We got you.
Clyde: Now, you said you had a business proposition for me, but you're still not talking.
André: Because I find it counterproductive to talk at gunpoint.
Clyde: And since your name is DiMera, see, I have to wonder. Maybe you're lying about that proposition. Maybe you're just trying to keep me here for some reason, which really makes me want to pull this trigger and dump you in the river.
André: Oh, no, you don't want to do that, 'cause you'd be missing out on a, oh, just wonderful opportunity, and let's face it, Clyde, opportunities for you right now are in short supply. So why don't you put that gun down?
Clyde: Why don't you stop trying my patience?
André: I'm not here for a confrontation. I came here to make an offer. Now, you can shoot me if you want, but it'd be more advantageous for you if you listened to what I have to say.
Can't see it. Can't taste it.
[Dramatic piano music]
Jennifer: Hope, can you tell me how this happened?
Hope: I was just--I was out of my mind with grief. I didn't know what to do. Then they found evidence that seemed to point to Stefano. I was convinced. I was positive that-- that he was responsible for having Bo kidnapped and tortured.
Jennifer: Hope, I'm so sorry.
Hope: Oh, god, what am I gonna do? Oh, my god. I have to handle this the right way.
Jennifer: What? No. You are not gonna do what Aiden is asking you to.
Hope: No, of course not. I--he wants me to move to Oregon with him.
Hope: Because that's where chase is.
Jennifer: After what chase did to Ciara?
Hope: [Crying] He hopes that she moves with us.
Jennifer: This is crazy. She would never do that. You would--you would never ask her to do that.
Hope: See? There's no right answer here. What am I gonna do?
Jennifer: Okay, first, it's gonna be okay. It's gonna be all right. We're gonna think of something, okay?
Hope: Okay. Okay. Okay.
Lucas: Whoa. Why--whoa, why shoot? Why--what's that?
Adrienne: Well, I didn't-- I didn't know you were in here.
Lucas: Who were you talking to?
Adrienne: You know, if you're gonna get up in my business all the time, we may have problems.
Lucas: Oh, okay.
Adrienne: Um, I just--I had some blood work done, and I was supposed to call the lab today and get the results, but with the hospital on lockdown, I just got the recording.
Lucas: What kind of blood work?
Adrienne: Oh, it's just routine.
Lucas: So why don't you tell me, then?
Adrienne: You're not gonna give up, are you?
Adrienne: No. Um, you know I have the breast cancer mutation gene.
Adrienne: Well, every three months I have to have my blood tested to see if there are elevated levels of something called ca-125. It's a tumor marker number.
Lucas: And if there's a lot of that in your blood, what?
Adrienne: No--well, it could mean that I have a tumor, but there are a lot of benign conditions that can elevate it as well, so....
Lucas: So you have to go through this, like, every three months?
Adrienne: Well, if I have breast cancer or ovarian cancer, I want to know pretty fast.
Lucas: Well, yeah, I know that. I know. It's just--
Adrienne: And besides, if cancer wants to kill me, it's gonna get in line behind Clyde Weston, right?
Lucas: That man doesn't have a prayer against you. You know that, right?
Clyde: All right, I'm listening.
André: I'll make this brief.
I want control of the family business. I'm the oldest surviving son. It's my birthright, and the only way I can gain control of the family business is to make sure that Chad meets an early demise.
Clyde: So why don't you kill him?
André: Right, you-- you want me to kill my own flesh and blood?
Clyde: Well, he is in the way.
André: We DiMeras, we don't slaughter one another. Besides, it'd be impossible to run a business empire from prison.
Clyde: Then don't-- don't get caught.
André: Well, when I get somebody that I know is just as capable of doing the dirty work for me--
Clyde: I see. So what's in the deal for me?
André: Well, I saw you earlier, stuffing the bag with some children's clothing. It's for the brat, right? I can get that for you.
Clyde: Well, you know, the thought of wasting Chad and grabbing my little grandbaby does kind of make the mouth water, but-- tell you the truth, I have yet to come up with the perfect plan.
André: Well, why don't you let me take care of that?
Clyde: And you would do what? March me up to the front door? I know that house is armed to the ceiling. I'd wind up dead or back in prison.
André: [Laughs] Not if you know the right person who knows the chink in all that armor.
Chad: Thank you for getting sonny and I back together. I hate being on the outs with him, and I--I didn't know what to do about it. Nice work.
Gabi: Well, I wasn't being your employee, moron. I was being your friend and Sonny's.
Chad: I know, and I need all the friends I can get right now, especially you.
Gabi: What--what are you talking about?
Chad: This--this whole situation, it's got to end.
Gabi: Right, yeah, I agree.
Chad: It's gonna happen today.
Gabi: What's gonna happen today?
Chad: Yeah, I'll tell you everything. I'm gonna need your help.
André: So now that's everything, and do you understand how fortunate you are that you crossed my path?
Clyde: I most certainly do.
André: And you know exactly what you have to do? But I tell you, you know, the beauty in doing it my way is that there's no risk for you.
André: Well, almost no risk. Nothing comes easy in life, right?
Clyde: And once you're in control of all that money, you will remember what I did for you, won't you?
André: Oh, of course.
Clyde: 'Cause I'm gonna help Ben raise his son once I get him out of prison.
André: Then you have to stop wasting time. Stop squandering opportunities. Go get what it is you came for, Clyde.
Clyde: I am gonna have my grandson in my arms before the end of this day.
Lucas: Oh, hey. Did you get Thomas all settled?
Adrienne: Yeah, yeah. Were you able to get ahold of Sami?
Lucas: No, I couldn't get through. Try again later, you know, hope there's time.
Adrienne: I'm sorry. I know how much you wanted to get ahold of her today.
Lucas: Yeah, we always tried to get along for will's sake, but I don't know. I feel like with Allie I just--I just wanted to hear her voice, you know? Before whatever happens happens.
Adrienne: Look, I know Sami can't bear to be in Salem, and I--I can understand that, but does she realize how hard it is for you not to be able to see your baby?
Lucas: Yeah, she knows. We've talked about it. I'm just glad they're not here now with everything that's going on.
Adrienne: I get that too. Part of me wishes that sonny had never come back from Paris, you know?
Lucas: Have you talked to him?
Adrienne: This is all getting to him.
Lucas: Yeah, especially today. I wanted to talk to him, but every--with everything going on and this whole war, it's just ridiculous. Don't have time.
Adrienne: Hopefully that war will end today, and we'll be able to honor will's memory in the right way.
Lucas: That'd be nice. All right.
Adrienne: Got it.
Paul: Have you heard how Joey's doing?
Sonny: Yeah, Steve told my mom they feel very lucky to have him back safe and sound and grateful to you for figuring out where he was.
Paul: Well, I'm just happy--
Sonny: I--you know, I don't know if I got a chance to thank you yesterday for doing that, so I'm sorry.
Paul: Well, I'm just happy that I could do something.
Sonny: Yeah, something that helped, unlike the bonehead thing that Brady and I did.
Paul: Well, I mean, it sucks to feel powerless.
Sonny: But what you did today, getting me and Chad to talk, I really appreciate that. Thank you.
Paul: Sometimes it's easier to see what has to happen when you're on the outside.
Sonny: I guess so. Well, I better get going.
Paul: I know what today is. I, uh--I know that you're thinking about will, missing him.
Paul: I can't even mention his name? I can't tell you how sorry I am? Do you think that I don't remember? If I hadn't come between you and will, you wouldn't have gone to Paris, and maybe will wouldn't have gotten in Ben Weston's way.
Sonny: Just shut up. Just shut the hell up.
Paul: I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have talked about will to you, not today.
Sonny: No, I'm the one that's sorry, okay? It's--it's not your fault. You didn't say anything that I haven't thought about a million times. It's just that Gabi and I were gonna bring Arianna to the cemetery today and talk to her about how wonderful her daddy was, how much he loved her, but because of this mess, we had to cancel our plans. Do you know, I have to go to the cemetery and visit my husband's grave with a Kiriakis security guard over my shoulder?
Paul: Oh, I'm so sorry. I... don't let me keep you. Go see will.
Sonny: Are you sure you understand?
Chad: Is it done? Okay, and I want everybody well armed, alert, on the lookout. If a leaf blows across the property, I want to know about it, okay? I want this place locked up like a--like a fortress. Yeah, and if somebody gets within a mile, you notify me. Thank you.
Aiden: Uh-oh, here he is. Let me guess, punch me in the face again, huh?
Rafe: Well, as tempting as that sounds, I've got something even better here for you.
Aiden: Oh, yeah? What's in the box, a puppy?
Rafe: Yeah, you know what this is? This is actually all the paperwork from every case since Salem went dark, every looter, every vandal, every jaywalker.
Aiden: That's impressive.
Aiden: And you are personally delivering it to me. Why is that?
Rafe: Well, 'cause you've been camped out in here. You've been going over all these old cases trying to, you know, find out where we went wrong with our jobs, so roman and I, we thought we'd do you a big favor and, uh, get all this stuff here in advance just in case you need to prosecute anyone.
Aiden: [Laughing] Okay. Oh, always so helpful. I'm--I'll get to it when I have the time, okay?
Rafe: I'd make time if I were you, 'cause we've been busy, yeah. Oh, and after this box, there's--there's another box, and then there's another box after that, and oh, probably one after that too.
Aiden: Is that right?
Aiden: And probably after that too.
Aiden: Thank you for the heads-up, but I'm gonna do what I usually do: Assign it to the ADA.
Rafe: Yeah, roman thinks this deserves your personal attention.
Aiden: Oh, does he?
[Box clatters on floor]
Aiden: Seriously, that's the best you got? You think you'd come in here, give me this work, keep me busy, and that'll keep me away from hope?
Rafe: What, do you think we made these arrests up? Like I said, I'd get on it if I were you. We're just trying to keep your office from getting jammed up. If it happens to keep you away from hope, then, well, you won't hear me complaining.
Aiden: Mm. Your car insurance policy detective Brady. I'm just checking in to see if there's anything I should know. Okay. Yeah, thank you.
Jennifer: I'm really glad that you told me this, but I-- I hate that you have been holding this in all this time. But count me in. I'm here. I want to help you.
Hope: What? No, no, no, no, no, no.
Jennifer: I'm gonna do everything I can to keep Aiden from doing this to your life. I mean it.
Hope: No. No, all I need from you is to just listen. That's it.
Jennifer: Of course I'm gonna listen. I mean, we're--we're family. Of course I'm gonna listen.
Rafe: You think you've got hope dancing to your tune, don't you? You don't.
Aiden: But tonight I will have her dancing in the sheets. Oh, yes, and I just want to make her happy for the rest of her life, 'kay?
Rafe: Yeah, over my dead body.
Aiden: Works for me.
Rafe: What was that?
[Soft instrumental music]
Chad: Everything is gonna work out. I promise you.
