Anne: Honey, you look so gorgeous in this dress.

Theresa: Okay, thanks. All right, take a picture from the back, all right? I want to see if my butt looks big.

Anne: Are you kidding?

Theresa: What? That is what people are gonna be looking at when I walk down the aisle.

Anne: Honey, your butt looks fine. Are you kidding? After all you've been through, you're like skin and bones.

Theresa: Okay, well, did you get the photo? Let me see it.

Anne: Yes.

Theresa: Let me see.

Anne: Okay, hold on.

Theresa: Oh, my gosh.

Anne: What?

Theresa: Bags under my eyes. It's like matching luggage.

Anne: Cut it out. You're gonna take a few days off, you'll get some good nights' rest, and you're gonna be your gorgeous self for your wedding.

Theresa: [Sighs] I hope so. Oh, Anne, I am so excited. I mean, my baby's finally home, and he's safe, and in one week, I am going to be Mrs. Brady black, and there's nothing Victor can do to stop it.

Anne: No, not after he got that summer bitch to steal your baby.

Theresa: Yeah, well, I mean, at least Brady finally sees him for the monster that he is.

Anne: Yeah.

Theresa: Hey, let me see.

Anne: Okay, I got to tell you, honey, things are going your way.

Theresa: [Laughs]

Justin: Aiden's whole case against you is based on circumstantial evidence and hearsay. I mean, if I was still the DA, this wouldn't even go to court.

Victor: Well, you're not the DA anymore.

Justin: So now I have the satisfaction of making him look like an idiot in front of a jury.

Victor: Don't get too cocky. I'm having a hard time convincing my own family that I didn't kidnap Tate. Even Maggie's suspicious.

Justin: Really?

Victor: Well, she didn't say anything, exactly, but I know her too well. We have to find something concrete, something that is absolute proof that I'm not the mastermind.

Justin: I'm working on it.

Victor: What do you want me to do?

Justin: Talk to Brady again. Try to keep things from escalating any further.

[Dramatic music]

Brady: That's the pill that I found on the floor in Victor's apartment.

Shawn: All right, did anyone touch it besides you?

Brady: No, no, just me. I was picking up one of Tate's toys, and it was just there.

Shawn: Well, maybe we can lift a partial print off of it and find out whoever dropped it while we're trying to analyze what's in it.

Brady: Or if it's sold on the streets, we could possibly track down who sold it.

Shawn: And try to get the guy to implicate our grandfather?

Brady: Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Shawn: Brady, can you honestly tell me that you believe that Victor would kidnap his own grandchild?

Kate: Well, you are the last person I expected to see when I opened the door. Not that I'm not thrilled to see you.

Philip: So Doug and Julie really sold this place to you?

Kate: Yup. They decided that innkeeping wasn't their cup of tea.

Philip: Not yours either, I imagine. In fact, my guess is, you kicked everybody out of this place as soon as you got the deed.

Kate: [Laughs] Can you imagine me cooking muffins for some tourist from Topeka, recommending the hot spots in Salem?

Philip: The Kate Roberts tour of Salem. That would be one scary bus ride.

Kate: [Laughs] Well, I guess you didn't come by here just to be sarcastic.

Philip: Okay, the truth is, as much as I hate to admit it... I need your help.

Nicole: All right, Chloe, I'm not gonna beat around the bush. Is Deimos the father of your baby or not?

Chloe: No.

Nicole: No. Then who is?

Chloe: Philip is the father.

Nicole: [Laughs] I don't believe that for one minute.

Victor: What makes you think that Brady's even gonna give me the time of day?

Justin: Because we both know there's a part of Brady that... doesn't believe that you would actually kidnap his son to prove a point. You need to make Brady see that believing that you would do something so abominable like this is leaving the real culprit out there. I think you're up to the task.

[Dramatic music]

Shawn: All right, thanks.

Brady: I know Victor better than anyone. And I think his need to control his family has clouded his judgment. Look, man, I don't-- I don't like this any more than anyone else does. I don't want to implicate my own grandfather. But the fact is, I think summer was right about him. He hated her. That's why he tried to make her look like the kidnapper. He was trying to get summer out of Maggie's life, and he was trying to get Theresa out of mine and Tate's.

Shawn: Gosh. Yeah, and I'm just sorry that it all had to come to this.

Brady: Yeah, me too. By the way, do you have any-- any leads on where summer went?

Shawn: No, not a one. Look, she vanished.

Brady: Probably just as well.

Nicole: You honestly expect me to believe that you and Philip had a booty call and now you're pregnant?

Chloe: Yes.

Nicole: Oh, come on! After Philip found out that parker was Daniel's son, he hated you.

Chloe: Yeah, he hated me at first. But parker missed him, and so I called Philip and asked if he wanted to spend some time with him once in a while, and he said yes.

Nicole: Daniel didn't know about that.

Chloe: Well, I know. I didn't tell him because I didn't want to upset him. But the truth is, Philip spent a lot of time with us when parker was with me. Parker really loves him like a second father, which he pretty much has been to him. And after Daniel died, I really appreciated having Philip around. You can understand that, can't you?

Nicole: I guess.

Chloe: So Philip started spending more time with him, taking him to baseball games, playing with him, even helping him talk about his grief. He's--he's been really generous.

Nicole: So you thanked him in that special way you have?

Chloe: You know, that's not fair. You know Philip and I have a long history that started in high school and we--we know each other really well. We're good friends now.

Nicole: With benefits.

Chloe: Nicole, I didn't expect to get pregnant. I took precautions. I certainly didn't want to.

Nicole: Okay, but you did. And if you expect me to believe that Philip is the one, you are out of your mind. Okay, yes, maybe Philip played softball with parker. But that kid you're carrying belongs to Deimos.

Theresa: Oh, my gosh.

Anne: Honey, remember when we used to sit on the couch in your crummy little apartment drinking cheap chardonnay?

Theresa: Oh, yeah, well, I remember the headaches, that's for sure.

Anne: Right, and back then, you used to say, "I am going to be married to Brady."

Theresa: Yeah, and you used to laugh in my face.

Anne: I did not laugh in your face.

Theresa: You did.

Anne: I did not. I didn't even chuckle. Darling, I was sorry for you. Yes, "does this poor girl have her head up her you-know-what"--that is what I was thinking, my friend.

Theresa: Okay, fine. Well, you know what? I don't really blame you. I was kind of deluded at the time.

Anne: "Deluded" is not the appropriate adjective when what you're fantasizing about actually happens, right? So in retrospect, knowing that you made the totally crazy, unlikely thing happen, I think it is fair to say that you were highly optimistic and preternaturally determined.

Theresa: Oh! Well, both those things kind of describe me in general, wouldn't you say? [Laughs]

Anne: Yeah, maybe now. Maybe now a little bit. But back then, no, I would say you were highly annoying and preternaturally conniving.

Theresa: Okay, you know what? Both those things still describe you, Milbauer.

Anne: What? Moi? Darling, I am a paragon of virtue and patience, yes. And one would have to be the latter to deal with the likes of you.

Theresa: You know what? You are just so good for my ego, Anne.

Anne: Listen. You've, like-- you're like a totally different person, you know? You've just changed your tactics. I mean, remember, honey, you got-- remember when you got Brady high and he took you to Vegas and then you got him to marry you?

Theresa: Yeah.

Anne: And then he came back to Salem, and his dad was here, and he hit the roof when he found out you guys were together, so then you hit his dad with the poker--

Theresa: Okay, can we please just stop the death march down memory lane? Please?

Anne: Sorry. [Chuckles]

Theresa: Look, I made a lot of mistakes, every single one in the book, probably, including getting pregnant. But you know what? Tate is the best thing that ever happened to me. And fine, I never lost hope that Brady and I would be happy together. And now that summer's out of the picture, you know, Brady and Tate and I, we can be very happy and have a happy life, and, you know, I'm actually looking forward to the future.

Anne: All right, well, then I suggest you get out of this dress before Brady gets back.

Theresa: Please, that's just superstition.

Anne: Really? Okay, so you don't care that everybody says it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding day? Okay.

Theresa: Not really.

Anne: Okay.

Theresa: But, you know, why risk it? Why don't you-- can you just--

Anna: Okay.

Theresa: Let's get my train.

Anne: Okay.

[Somber music]

Brady: [Sighs] Thank you for saving my life, my friend. Got to ask you, though, was it necessary to give me all these damn dreams along with that heart you gave me? 'Cause... I'll tell you, all I've been able to think about was summer and then finding her in California. It hasn't been fun. Didn't do much for my life or for Maggie's, for that matter. Not that I don't understand that there needs to be a price tag for this thing, 'cause I understand. If it weren't for you, I'd probably be in here myself. I just never thought, Daniel, that I would have to express my gratitude by trying to rehabilitate the very woman that could've cost me my son.

Chloe: Nicole, if you're not gonna believe me when I tell you the truth, then what's the point of this conversation?

Nicole: Oh, Chloe, cut the crap. I know you too well, and I know when you're lying.

Chloe: Do you think that I liked telling you that I let Philip see parker when Daniel was alive and I lied to him about it?

Nicole: I suppose not.

Chloe: But I told you because we're friends and I want you to know everything.

Nicole: Exactly. We know the worst about each other, and we don't hold back. That's what makes us such great friends. So why won't you tell me the truth now?

Chloe: I am telling you the truth. I mean, why would I be stupid enough to lie to you? Why bother? I know you'd see right through me.

Nicole: Exactly. Chloe, you will feel much better if you're just honest with me.

Chloe: I... okay. [Sighs] If... honestly... Philip and I, we have... not been together, and the father of this baby is Deimos.

Nicole: Thank you.

Chloe: I didn't want this to happen. I mean, when I found out I was pregnant-- I don't know-- I was even thinking about terminating it. This is the last thing that I need right now, but... I couldn't do it. So I told Philip about it, and he knows what Deimos is like, so he agreed to pretend to be this baby's father just to keep Deimos away.

Nicole: Did Deimos believe that?

Chloe: I don't know if he believes it, but, Nicole, you can't tell him. He can never know that this baby is his. I want that man as far away from me and this baby as possible.

Nicole: Okay. I know you're through with Deimos--

Chloe: Yeah, I am through with him.

Nicole: But don't you think he has a right to know?

Chloe: Seriously? Did you feel like EJ had a right to know when you were pregnant with his baby? Oh, come on. Deimos just used me to get to Philip. That's all I was-- a means to an end.

Nicole: But Deimos is a changed man.

Chloe: Are you kidding?

Nicole: He's working really hard to start over.

Chloe: Are you hearing yourself right now? He's "a changed man"? Wow, he's really brainwashed you. If you really believe this, then you just need to shake him off and get the hell away, because you've been around long enough to know that men like Deimos don't just change. They morph into different forms. They'll continue to use and take whatever they--

Nicole: You are wrong! You're wrong. Yes, I have been around. But I am not stupid. And I know what I've seen. Deimos is not the same guy.

Chloe: Oh, okay. Obviously you're seeing what you want to see because you've fallen in love with him.

[Dramatic music]

Justin: I want to thank you.

Deimos: Thank me? For what?

Justin: Making me steal that evidence so jimmy Holman could skate on that armed robbery charge. Abe and roman found out. I lost my job.

Deimos: And you're thanking me because...

Justin: Well, without that job, there's nothing more you can get out of me.

Deimos: Justin, I'm sorry. If there's anything I can do to make this up to you...

Justin: Is this the new and improved uncle Deimos talking?

Deimos: I'm just trying to make amends to my family, people in my life who've been hurt by the things I've done. So if there's anything I can do to help you, you let me know.

Justin: Thanks. But no, thanks. You're making this up!

Deimos: Justin, if my brother can accept the fact that all I really want to do is make peace, then why can't you?

Justin: I can't speak for Victor. But as for me, I don't believe a word that comes out of your mouth. I've dealt with enough criminals to know that they never really change.

Deimos: [Chuckles]

Justin: What's so funny?

Deimos: Well, now I know where your son gets this from. He seems to share your skepticism about me.

Justin: Yes, sonny has always been very intuitive. And by the way, stay the hell away from him.

Deimos: No, you might want to tell him to stay the hell away from me. He seems determined to exact some sort of revenge on me.

Justin: I don't think you need to worry about him.

Deimos: Well, let's hope not. But let me make myself perfectly clear here. Just because I'm trying to turn things around does not mean that I'm just gonna roll over. If anyone comes after me, I will strike back. So why don't you be the dutiful father and tell your kid to back off?

[Dramatic music]

Brady: I know this isn't your fault. You were trying to do something good. I know that. Hell, maybe if you were-- you were still alive, maybe we could have helped summer... save her from herself. But you're not here, are you? You're gone, she's gone, and it's a lost cause.

Victor: Summer may be a lost cause, but you and I are not.

[Dramatic music]

Kate: Thank you. Sorry for the interruption.

Philip: I'm used to it.

Kate: Okay, so where were we? Ah, you need my help.

Philip: I need a loan to buy out my silent partner.

Kate: I didn't know you had a silent partner.

Philip: And as it turns out, this partner isn't staying particularly silent these days, so I think it would be best if I--

Kate: Dissolve the relationship? So who is this partner?

Philip: I can't say. It's true. It's a contractual thing.

Kate: [Sighs] Well, honey, I would love to help you out-- I really would-- but I just can't see how I could invest in Chloe and her pitchy singing. I mean, maybe if you had a more secure stable of singers, then--

Philip: You know, I knew this was a mistake.

Kate: No, no, wait. Stop. Please, don't-- don't get upset. I'm just being honest with you, okay? I don't understand it. I don't understand how after everything Chloe has done to you and to your brother, to Lucas, that you could get back into bed with her.

Philip: My personal life is none of your concern.

Kate: Okay, fine. That's fine. Let's just keep it to business, then. How much do you want?

[Soft dramatic music]

Philip: I will pay you back.

Kate: [Sighs] Okay. I'm going to make you the loan.

Philip: Thank you.

Kate: Under one condition.

Philip: Here it comes.

Kate: You admit to me that you are not the father of Chloe's baby.

Philip: You know what? Forget it. Forget I asked for anything.

Kate: Philip. Philip!

[Door slams]

Nicole: I don't know how I feel about Deimos, but I admit my feelings have changed. And maybe it's because I've seen the kind of man he can be.

Chloe: You're seeing what he wants you to see.

Nicole: Well, this isn't easy, Chloe. I mean, I didn't-- I didn't think I'd find anyone after Daniel. And truthfully, I wasn't even looking. And then Deimos came into my life, and he turned it upside down-- in good ways and bad. Which is why I just-- I want to play this right.

Chloe: Look, I know I can't tell you what to do with your life, but if you're seriously gonna consider having a relationship with this man, then how are you gonna keep my secret? I mean, I don't care what you say, how much he's changed and how different you think he is. If he ever finds out that you knew this baby is his and you didn't tell him, there will be hell to pay. You know I'm right.

Brady: I have nothing to say to you.

Victor: Do you still think I had something to do with Tate's kidnapping? You really think I could do something that horrible to you?

Brady: I didn't used to.

Victor: Oh, Brady. If I wanted to take that child away from you and Theresa, I would have gone to court, bought myself a judge. Certainly wouldn't have turned my great-grandson over to somebody named Lauren Cartwright. What do I have to do to make you believe me?

Brady: Even if I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, I'm not sure I could.

Victor: Why the hell not?

Brady: Because you're the best liar that I know. I have known you my whole life, and I still can't be sure that you're being honest with me right now.

Nicole: You're right. I can't go into a new relationship with a big secret. And you and I both know that keeping a secret about someone else's baby is never a good idea. So I'm saying this to you as a friend. You have to tell Deimos the truth, or...

Chloe: Or what? You will? What, are you threatening me now?

Nicole: No. No. I'm just looking out for you.

Chloe: Well, I'm looking out for this baby. I don't care that you don't think that Deimos is still the devil incarnate. I can't take that chance. I can't gamble on him not treating this baby like another one of his possessions.

Nicole: So what do we do?

Chloe: Oh, I know. How about we go talk to Maggie and ask her what kind of man he is and what he's willing to do to get what he wants?

Nicole: Hey, Deimos convinced the surgeon to help Maggie walk again.

Chloe: [Scoffs] And that conveniently got Victor to start trusting him again. See? He always gets what he wants.

Nicole: Okay. Fine, you win. I'll keep your secret.

Chloe: Thank you.

Nicole: But whatever happens, whatever the outcome, promise me you'll keep me out of it.

Chloe: I promise. And I promise that you're not gonna regret this.

[Soft music]

Nicole: Hi. [Chuckles]

Dario: Hey. What's this?

Nicole: Uh, the final plans for the remodel.

Dario: We didn't sign off on any final plans.

Nicole: Maybe you haven't, but, uh, I have.

Dario: What the hell does that mean?

Nicole: I start working for basic black tomorrow.

Dario: What?

Nicole: So in this folder are my final picks for fabric and wallpaper and everything else you wanted me to think about, and you can do whatever you'd like with it.

Dario: I hate this. I was looking forward to working together on this.

Nicole: I know. But it's not like I'm leaving town or anything. You'll see me. And if you have any questions about what I did, I'll be around.

Dario: Working for Deimos.

Nicole: Look, basic black needs me. It's been neglected, and I don't want to see it go under.

Dario: You want to do this?

Nicole: I do. Look, I finally feel alive again. It's like starting a new chapter, and I'm not just thinking about everything I've lost.

Dario: Good luck with the new chapter.

Nicole: We'll see each other. I promise.

Dario: Hey, Nicole? If you need anything, anything at all...

Nicole: You've got my back?

Dario: All day long. [Sighs]

Chloe: I am so glad I ran into you. Something happened.

Philip: Something bad?

Chloe: Well, it could've been, but I think I handled it.

Philip: So what is it?

Chloe: Nicole, she found out that this baby's father is Deimos.

Philip: And you told her she was right? You didn't lie your way out of it?

Chloe: I tried lying to her, but she knows me so well.

Philip: So she's on her way to Deimos right now and you're screwed?

Chloe: No, thankfully we're old friends and she promised that she wouldn't say anything.

Philip: Can you count on that?

Chloe: Yeah, I think I can.

Kate: I'm so glad that I tracked you down.

Philip: Yeah, I have nothing to say to you.

Kate: Well, I have something to say to you. I'm sorry, and I love you, and I want to be part of your life, even though, at times, I don't approve of your choices. Here. Go ahead.

[Soft dramatic music]

Philip: Are you serious?

Kate: I wrote out the check, didn't I? Come here.

Chloe: Okay, what was that about?

Philip: [Clears throat] Uh, I needed a loan to get the company on its feet, and I didn't want to go to the bank because--

Chloe: She just wants to buy her way into your life, and you're letting it happen.

Shawn: All right, I appreciate you being honest with me. And you're absolutely certain about what you just told me, right? Okay, good. All right, thanks.

Victor: I wish we had the kind of relationship where you could just take my word.

Brady: Well, there was a time when that was true, yeah. Then I grew up, and I started living my own life. Started making mistakes, as everybody does, but they were my mistakes, and it was my life. And it still is my life, and I know that drives you nuts. So yes, this time around, I'm gonna need more than your word, granddad. I am gonna need proof that you are telling me the truth.

[Cell phone ringing]

Brady: And this just might be it. What'd you find?

Shawn: The lab couldn't lift a print off of the pill, but they did say that it is the drug that was found in Theresa's drink the day that Tate was kidnapped.

Brady: Okay. I know that that drug is not Theresa's, and I also know that it's traded on the streets. I want you to look and see who is dealing those pills. Maybe it can be a dealer who can lead us to who drugged Theresa.

Shawn: Well, I already started looking into it, and guess what.

Brady: What?

Shawn: One particular street gang has pretty much cornered the market on this particular opiate. They operate on avenue 54, and they have ties to a mob guy named Titus drew.

Brady: Sounds familiar. What else do you know?

Shawn: Well, allegedly, um, Titus drew has had some little-- done some business with Deimos after he came back to town.

Brady: No kidding. What, does that mean--

Shawn: Victor's off the hook? No, man, this guy gets around. Deimos is not the only Kiriakis that he's had dealings with.

Brady: [Sighs] What kind of dealings?

Shawn: Let's just say that, uh, Victor and this goon go way back.

Brady: Thank you, Shawn. I will, uh, be in touch. All right, you want me to believe you? Then why don't you start by telling me all about your relationship with Titus Drew?

[Dramatic music]

Victor: I've known Mr. Drew for a very long time. I find it's in my best interests to know men like him.

Brady: How well do you know him?

Victor: If you're asking do I do business with him, no. But I have been known to buy him a cup of coffee from time to time.

Brady: What do you get in return, Granddad?

Victor: Information about what's happening on the street.

Brady: I see. So if you need something dirty or shady to be done out there, you always have Mr. Titus in your pocket to owe you for all those cups of coffee.

Victor: What are you talking about?

Brady: Theresa and I were at your home this morning. We were visiting Maggie. We took Tate over.

Victor: Oh, you did? Thank you.

Brady: I wouldn't thank me just yet when you hear what happened. Tate was playing on the floor. I was talking to Maggie. And Theresa was in the other room getting us something to drink. And I bent over to pick up one of Tate's toys, and I found a--a pill.

Victor: Was it one of Maggie's medications?

Brady: No. No, it wasn't. That's what that phone call was about. I gave that pill to Shawn for him to analyze it. That pill was the same drug that was used to drug Theresa when Tate was kidnapped.

Victor: You don't think that--

Brady: What am I supposed to think? There's only one gang in the area that sells those pills, granddad. That gang is affiliated with Titus drew.

Victor: Brady, really.

Brady: How about the fact that Deimos also knows this Titus drew guy? There's nothing like keeping it in the family, right?

Victor: Please, don't go. Wait a minute.

Brady: What? What, are you gonna tell me-- you gonna tell me that your brother framed you again? You know, you all but swore on my mother's grave that you had nothing to do with this kidnapping of my son, but here I find out that you and Deimos, you're-- you're in this up to your necks! My father and Marlena, they've told me that my mother is a good woman, a decent woman.

Victor: She was.

Brady: And she loved you so much.

Victor: And I love you.

Brady: And if you tell me you did this out of love for me, I'm not going to accept it. That's crap! I'm glad my mother isn't around to see the man that you've turned into.

Victor: Brady, please. It's not what you think. You have to listen--

Brady: I am done with you! You stay away from Theresa, you stay away from me, and you stay away from my son. Do you hear me?

[Dramatic music]

Deimos: If you're here again to put me on notice about Nicole--

Dario: Only reason I'm here is because I need to pick up some extra work.

Deimos: [Chuckles] Come on in. All right, let me guess. You want me to give you a job watching Nicole. Am I right?

Dario: Who said anything about her?

Deimos: Well, you've already made it very clear how protective you are of her. And in fact, I respect that. So the answer is yes.

Dario: Just like that?

Deimos: Just like that.

Dario: Okay, good. I'm happy to do whatever you need done. You're gonna find out I'm the kind of guy who can get things done, keep quiet about it.

Deimos: [Chuckles] All right, quiet man. I might have a job for you right away.

Dario: Sure. What is it?

Deimos: I need someone to keep tabs on Chloe lane and get back to me. You know who she is?

Dario: I ought to. I made her enough martinis while I was tending bar at a place called the cheatin' heart.

Deimos: So you're interested?

Nicole: What are you two shaking hands about?

Deimos: Dario was just leaving.

Nicole: No, you're not... not until you tell me why you're here.

Dario: There were some things I needed to get straight with Deimos.

Nicole: Well, you don't need to tell him to treat me right. I'm a big girl, Dario. I can take care of myself.

Dario: Yeah, but you're still my friend. And I look after my friends.

[Cell phone beeps]

Dario: Looks like I got to get back to TBD. See you.

Deimos: He's very loyal. Looks like I'm gonna have to watch my step with you.

Nicole: Well, his machismo gets a little out of control sometimes. He didn't upset you, did he?

Deimos: No, but it's more than machismo. He's got a major thing for you.

Nicole: He and I are just friends. That's all. You believe me, don't you?

[Soft music]

Blanca: Hi.

Dario: Hey.

Blanca: [Clears throat] Well, this is a switch.

Dario: What is?

Blanca: That. Don't bartenders usually have to listen about other people's problems?

Dario: [Chuckles]

Blanca: Because it looks like you need to talk to somebody about your own.

Dario: You're right. But let me buy you a drink first.

Blanca: Bloody Mary.

Dario: Coming right up.

Chloe: [Sighs] Oh, thank you. Philip, listen, you know that I am so grateful that you volunteered to pretend to be this baby's father.

Philip: And I'm not gonna back off from that, not with Deimos in the picture.

Chloe: Well, thank you, but...

Philip: But what?

Chloe: Well, ever since our little run-in with your mother, it just reminded me how much she despises me and how she's willing to do anything to keep me out of your life.

Philip: Well, it's not a problem, Chloe.

Chloe: How is it not gonna be a problem? What do you think all that money was that she gave you? It's a bribe.

Philip: Well, it won't work.

Chloe: You're not gonna keep it, are you?

Philip: It's business, I promise.

Chloe: [Sighs] Trust me, it's never just business when it involves Kate and I'm involved.

Philip: Hey. Quit worrying, okay? I promise... I can and will handle my mother.

Deimos: If you tell me that you and Dario are just friends... of course I believe you. I would just hate to learn that I have competition of any kind.

Nicole: [Chuckles]

[Glasses clink]

Nicole: Mm. Well, if you do find out, you're just gonna have to figure out a way to deal with it, because I am not yours to be jealous over.

Dario: Hmm. Well, I hope that changes soon.

[Tender music]
