Hope: "Trade in your gun for a night of romance."
Adriana: Ooh! Since when do you cook?
Rafe: Well, I'm not sure that's what you would call it.
Adriana: [Speaking Spanish] I thought we were just going to heat up the leftover huaraches. But this looks good.
Rafe: No, no, no. Mami, Mami, those are not for you. No. And don't take this the wrong way, but I need for you to go somewhere else tonight.
Gabi: Oh, hey, my dad just texted me. He says he hopes he didn't scare you off at lunch.
JJ: Does that mean he approves?
Gabi: He better. I mean, come on, he's an ex-assassin, I'm an ex-con, and you're a cop. And he's worried that you're not good enough for me?
JJ: Well, honestly, Gabi, I, um... I don't know, I kind of worry about that sometimes too.
Gabi: Stop. Don't ever say that.
Theresa: Did you go see summer?
Brady: No. I just don't want to fight anymore. I know it-- I know it's lame.
Theresa: Yeah, she got $50,000, and all I get is a box of chocolates.
Brady: You like chocolate.
Theresa: I love chocolate. And I love you, and I don't want to fight anymore either.
Brady: Okay. Did you go out looking for me?
Theresa: No, why?
Brady: I noticed your car was parked in a different spot.
Theresa: I'm going to put this into short, simple sentences that even you can understand. Brady and I are engaged. Brady loves me. So this little fantasy you've got about taking him away from me, give it up. 'Cause you don't have a prayer. Go back to la and get out of our lives.
Summer: Dario, you have to help me.
Dario: What the hell happened?
Summer: Why don't you just go back to la and forget that you ever knew me?
Clark: You're asking the impossible, Cindi, baby. Because once a guy gets to know you, you see, he can never forget you.
Summer: Cindi is dead.
Clark: Well, I know a way to bring her back to life.
Summer: [Yells] Clark, oh, my God. It was an accident.
Hope: "How soon can you get over here?"
Rafe: Well, I didn't know that dad was coming over. Otherwise, I would've said something. Dario and Gabi said that they would disappear for a couple hours.
Adriana: So this partner of yours, I thought you were friends.
Rafe: Hope and I are friends.
Adriana: Amores, Dolores, y dineros, no pueden estar secretos.
Rafe: Mama, there are no secretos, okay? No secrets here.
Adriana: When you worked for the FBI, didn't they have that rule--how did you call it? Fra--frater--
Rafe: Fraternization, yes.
Adriana: Fraternization policy, right?
Rafe: Yeah, yeah. Well, Salem pd doesn't have it.
Adriana: You just got your back, mijo, a few months ago. What if things turn out badly? You still have to work together.
Rafe: Mami, this is our second official date, okay? Can we just have a couple more before you have my whole future going up in flames?
Adriana: So what else are you fixing for dinner?
Rafe: I got chilaquiles, street corn, y flan.
Adriana: Mm, flan, my favorite.
Rafe: Okay, well, I'll save you some.
Adriana: Okay. And what time is she coming? You better start cooking.
Rafe: I got everything in the oven. I put it in like half an hour ago.
Adriana: Mm, I would expect to be smelling something good by now. Did you turn the oven on?
Rafe: Oh, no, no, no, no.
Adriana: Rafael, listen, I know you want me to leave, but if you like to prepare this detective a delicious meal, you better leave the cooking up to me.
Theresa: I was out getting diapers for Tate.
Brady: Why didn't you text me? I could've picked some up on my way back.
Theresa: 'Cause we're fighting.
Brady: Oh. Are we done fighting?
Brady: Good. I don't like fighting. You know, I was thinking to myself, we're busy. I mean, we're--we're raising a son, we're building a business, we're planning our wedding. I mean, isn't that enough?
Theresa: It is-- it is... everything I ever wanted and more. Nothing will ever come between me and the man I love.
Dario: An accident?
Dario: Okay, what was he doing here?
Summer: He tracked me down, and he kind of blackmailed me into helping him with one last score.
Dario: What, for old times' sake?
Summer: I texted you.
Dario: I'm sorry. I was busy.
Summer: So I had went to Brady, and I told him I owed Clark 50 grand, and that if I didn't come up with the cash, that I would end up in jail.
Dario: Okay, Brady didn't actually give--
Summer: He did.
Dario: And you gave that to Clark?
Summer: We split it. I've got bills to pay.
Dario: Okay. And then what happened?
Summer: Clark started kissing me. I told him to stop, but he wouldn't listen. So I pushed him off of me, and he hit his head.
Dario: That must have been some push.
Summer: Look, I-I--I know I should've called the police, but I didn't want to drag Brady into this or you. Because when the police pull up his rap sheet--
Dario: Find out we worked together. And then my brother will interrogate me, and this won't end up much better for us than it did for him.
Summer: Now there's only one thing we could do. We have to get rid of him.
Gabi: Hey. I'm sorry about the family drama earlier.
Gabi: I should have known.
JJ: Stop apologizing. It's okay.
Gabi: I just--my dad, he's trying, and I don't think it's a bad idea to give him a chance.
JJ: Neither do I. Gabi, um... I was really mad at my dad for a long time. But I would do anything to have him back.
Gabi: I know you would. Listen, Rafe and my mom and I, we're never gonna forget what he did, but I just feel like we can move on, but Dario's so much angrier than the rest of us. He's--he's just so different since he's been gone.
Dario: Go out in the hall and see if you can find me a laundry cart.
Theresa: Pretty sure Tate just gave me a bath.
Brady: You need to get-- you're all wet. You need to take this off, I think.
Theresa: Oh, you think?
Brady: Yeah, I think.
Theresa: You know what? We should wait till he's down for the night for sure, yeah.
Brady: Yeah, we should wait. You're right.
Theresa: What is wrong with this picture? Oh, my gosh, we are so...
Brady: We're domestic.
Theresa: Yeah. Oh, my gosh, there is nothing cuter than that little guy at bedtime. He is a mini-you.
Brady: I think he's a mini-you. I look at his eyes, I see your eyes.
Theresa: Yeah. Brady, do you think he's too little to be the ring bearer at our wedding? I mean, you know, one of the bridesmaids, she could carry him down the aisle. And I just--I really want him to be part of our big day.
Brady: So do I.
Theresa: And you know, maybe we should figure out who's gonna be in the wedding party-- I mean, at some point.
Brady: I think I've been putting that off in my mind. 'Cause I probably would've had Daniel as my best man, and Eric, and--
Theresa: Hey. Sorry.
Brady: It's okay. I know you haven't known her a long time, and you're just starting to get to know her, but would you mind asking belle?
Theresa: Oh, my gosh, yeah. Of course. Of course. I mean, who else is gonna be in my wedding party. Well, there is your favorite, Anne.
Theresa: And eve probably won't even come back for the wedding, so...
Theresa: Hey, I am marrying you, okay? And that is all I care about.
Brady: It's been a rough year for both of our families. At least we're giving them something to celebrate.
Theresa: Not sure they want to celebrate me, but anyway.
Brady: Come on.
Theresa: Listen, of course you're gonna, you know, invite Maggie and Victor, but please tell me we don't have to invite summer.
Brady: Theresa, come on. Maggie might be upset if we don't invite summer.
Theresa: Come on, Brady. Are you serious right now? Look, I adore Maggie, okay? And I feel sorry for what she's going through, I really do. But this is my wedding.
Brady: I really don't want to talk about this. Why do we do this all the time?
Theresa: This is so ridiculous. I mean, come on, if you had seen the way summer was acting tonight...
Brady: I'm sorry, what? What do you mean, "the way summer was acting tonight"? Theresa, did you go and see summer?
Adriana: Now it smells delicious.
Rafe: It does. It really does. Muchas gracias, Mami.
Adriana: I hope she likes my habanero salsa.
Rafe: What? Habanero?
Adriana: Yeah. [Gasps] Doesn't she eat spicy food?
Adriana: Estoy bromeando.
Rafe: That is not cool. Do not do that to me.
Adriana: She got the bland version. It doesn't taste as good, but it's okay.
Rafe: Okay, but it's... and you're right. You know what, I was going a little overboard. I'm used to just sticking something frozen in the microwave.
Adriana: Which is why you're so thin.
Rafe: I'm not.
Adriana: Yes, you are. No discutas, no discutas. It's my job as a mother to fatten you up. And if hope doesn't like it, then too bad.
Rafe: Okay. Actually surprised she's not here yet.
Adriana: Oh, I can take a hint. Oh, don't forget to save me some flan.
Adriana: And if she doesn't like the food, mm, she doesn't have to come back.
Rafe: All right. Buenas noches, Mami.
Adriana: [Laughs] Buenas noches.
[Both speaking Spanish]
Brady: Theresa, answer me. Did you go and see summer while I was out?
Theresa: I was angry.
Brady: I know. I get that you're angry.
Theresa: And you wouldn't listen to me. What's to stop her from hitting you up for another 50 grand? Or how about 100?
Brady: How about 200? You think I'm that easy? Really?
Theresa: You have been so far. Come on, Brady. She wants you. I mean, don't tell me that she doesn't.
Brady: Stop it. Stop it with that. She doesn't want me. Let that go. I thought you wanted to stop fighting. Didn't you want to do that?
Theresa: Why are you making this about me? It isn't my problem. It's hers.
Brady: I thought it was about me. I thought it was my problem, my hero complex, whatever--
Theresa: I just want you to stop defending her, Brady, okay, and I don't want that bitch at our wedding. Does that make me evil?
Brady: Honey, baby, you're not evil. But you're being unfair, okay? 'Cause she's not evil either.
Theresa: She's never gonna get out of our lives.
Brady: If you want her to get out of our lives, try this. Don't go to her hotel room and pick a fight with her.
Theresa: Where are you going now?
Brady: I'm gonna go fix this.
Gabi: Hola, Mami.
JJ: Ms. Hernandez. Nice to see you again.
Adriana: Thank you, thank you.
Adriana: Hello, sweetie. If I'm gonna be thrown out of my son's house, at least I get to see this beautiful face.
Gabi: Do you, uh--do you want to have coffee with us?
Adriana: No, gracias. I don't want to be in the way.
[Coos] I was certainly for your brother. Did you know he was seeing this detective he works with?
Gabi: Yeah, I didn't know it was that serious until he asked me to pick out a necklace for her.
Adriana: I read about her in the paper.
Adriana: Mm-hmm. Two dead husbands.
Gabi: Mami, that's JJ's cousin.
Gabi: She's really a great person.
JJ: Yeah, she really is.
Adriana: So what is the name of this? She feels hot. She feels warm.
Gabi: Here, mama. Oh, yeah, she's a little bit warm. I hope she's not coming down with anything. Are you all right, my little angel? Are you okay?
Hope: It's beautiful. Hi.
Rafe: Yeah, it sure is. It's, uh--
Hope: I had a little help. Thank you for this.
Rafe: Do you like it?
Hope: It's beautiful. I love it.
Rafe: Really? Okay, 'cause truth be told, I had a little help too. I had my jewelry consultant.
Hope: A consultant?
Rafe: Yeah. Well, aka Gabi. She said the first three were passť.
Hope: I think you have excellent taste.
Rafe: Well, I know I do. I was worried about you. I texted you, and you texted back. You said you were on your way.
Hope: Yeah, I just--I got a little--a little hung up.
Rafe: Everything okay?
Hope: Mm-hmm. Perfect now. We offered women a mystery beauty treatment.
Gabi: Ah, come here. Poor baby.
Adriana: Maybe you should just take her home? I'm sure Rafe will understand.
Gabi: Yeah, she's, um-- yeah, she's burning up. She's probably miserable. Last time she was sick, she stayed up all night.
Adriana: The medicine should have brought her fever down. I think we should go to the hospital.
Gabi: I don't know, Mami. I don't want to overreact, okay?
Adriana: I'm sure it's nothing, but why take chances?
JJ: Hey, I'll go with you.
Gabi: Yeah, okay. Thank you. Sweet pea, we're gonna get you very, very well very, very soon, okay?
Summer: He was heavy.
Dario: Give me the keys to your car. I'll put the body in the trunk.
Summer: My trunk is like 2 feet wide. And I'm supposed to be moving into Maggie's right now.
Dario: You killed him. Accident or not, he goes in your trunk.
Dario: Get this place cleaned up. If somebody notices a fight, they're gonna start asking questions, and if that happens, we're screwed.
Summer: Okay. Damn it!
[Knock at door]
Brady: What's wrong?
Summer: Oh, thank you.
Rafe: Mm-hmm. Salud.
Hope: Salud. Hmm, what is this flavor?
Rafe: Passion fruit.
Rafe: Mm-hmm. The real deal.
Summer: Yes, it is. I feel bad. Your mom did all this cooking for us, and then she left.
Rafe: Oh, really?
Rafe: You feel bad?
Hope: No. Sort of. Maybe a little.
Rafe: Don't. She loves to do it. Come on. And listen, by the way, don't take this the wrong way, but a month ago, I was a bachelor, okay? Living here by myself. Now I've got my sister, my niece, my mother, my brother, and more than often visits from my formerly deadbeat dad.
Summer: Yeah, you have a full house. But still, you didn't have to ask them to leave on my account.
Rafe: Yes, I did.
Rafe: Why what?
Summer: What did you have in mind?
Hope: What are you doing?
Hope: Oh, my gosh. I can't tell you how much I needed a night like this. And Rafael, you are very lucky that you didn't get yourself arrested breaking into my house.
Rafe: Oh, really?
Rafe: Am I lucky?
Hope: You are so lucky.
Rafe: I actually know some people in high places.
Rafe: Oh, God. Easy on the flan.
Rafe: That could've been bad. You know, why don't I clean these up?
Hope: Yeah, I think you should.
Rafe: Well, okay. "Why don't you"? "Show me." "Your bedroom."
Anne: Anne to the rescue. You're lucky I wasn't busy.
Theresa: What? You're never busy.
Theresa: I appreciate you coming.
Anne: So what did summer do now?
Theresa: Well, it turns out she used to be a con artist.
Anne: Oh, I'm shocked.
Theresa: Mm-hmm, some guy showed up at her door asking for money, and guess what she did?
Anne: She went straight to the bank of Brady black.
Theresa: Yeah, she did. And you know what? He gave her the cash. No questions asked. $50,000. And now he thinks I'm being unreasonable because I'm upset.
Anne: Oh, honey, this is serious.
Theresa: Yeah, no kidding.
Anne: No, you need to figure out how to get rid of her.
Theresa: I can't. I mean, she just moved in next door with Maggie. And Brady wants to invite her to the wedding.
Anne: Okay. All right, so here's what you'll do: You'll seat her next to me, and I'll put a little arsenic in her champagne. I'm kidding.
Anne: Okay, so does she have, like, a police record, something?
Theresa: How would I know?
Anne: Theresa, the internet, it is your second best friend if you know how to use it. Here. Oh, honey, it's okay.
Summer: Nothing now.
Brady: Seem a little jumpy.
Summer: I'm just still pretty freaked out of things that happened today.
Brady: Sure. Mind if I come in?
Summer: Uh, sure, sure. So I'm really sorry I'm out of it. I've just been at the hospital so much, and I'm really tired.
Brady: I'll bet. I'll bet. What's going on with your bed here?
Summer: I took a nap.
Summer: So I didn't expect to see you again tonight.
Brady: I know, and-- listen, summer. I realize that Theresa came here to see you, and I'm sorry about that.
Summer: Look, you don't have to check up on me. I'm fine.
Brady: You don't seem fine to me.
Dario: All done.
Brady: Done with what?
Dario: I was just putting some of summer's stuff in her car. I guess you heard she's moving. You guys are gonna be neighbors, right?
Brady: Yeah, yeah. If you needed help, you didn't have to call Dario.
Summer: Dario is the one I called because ever since la, we've been--
Dario: We didn't want to say anything because--
Brady: Oh, God, no. No, it's none of my business at all. I had no idea. I'm sorry. I just came to check on her, and obviously you two were busy, so I'm gonna go and leave you two alone to do whatever you were doing. I'm gonna go.
Summer: Well, good night.
Brady: Good night. Sorry.
Summer: Oh, my God. That was too close.
Dario: Yeah? We're not done.
Theresa: Well, summer is either a really lousy con artist or a really good one, 'cause I got nothing.
Anne: That's just impossible. I once searched, "I hate Jennifer Horton." I got 16,000 hits.
Theresa: Yeah, well, I guess nobody hates summer.
Anne: Yeah, or likes her.
Theresa: She hasn't done one useful thing in her life.
Anne: Really? Really? Like been born or have an address, come on.
Theresa: Right? It's weird.
Anne: Oh, wait a minute. So what would you do if you had a past you wanted to hide from the rest of the world?
Anne: Yeah, yes, and?
Theresa: Steal someone else's identity.
Hope: I love you.
[Cell phone beeps]
Rafe: I'm sorry.
Hope: Is that yours?
Rafe: Yeah, I didn't turn it off.
[Cell phone beeps]
Hope: Maybe you should get it. Might be important.
Rafe: Important? This is important.
Hope: Check it.
Rafe: Okay. I'll check it. God's sake. Oh, it's Gabi, great. "I need to come over and pick up Ari's bunny. I'll be there in five minutes."
Rafe: No, no, no, no. It's not okay. She doesn't need a bunny.
Hope: Rafe, it's okay. Just let her come and pick up the bunny. Just let her come pick up the bunny.
Rafe: She doesn't need the bunny.
Hope: This can wait.
Rafe: Says who?
Hope: I do. But not for long, okay?
Rafe: Okay. I love you. So much.
Gabi: Oh, my gosh. I just texted Rafe. I'm gonna go to the house, and I'm gonna get the little bunny, okay?
Adriana: Maybe he can bring it later.
Gabi: No, he doesn't even know where it is, and I don't want him to worry. I don't want him to know that we're here.
Adriana: But Rafe is busy, honey. He has a date.
Gabi: I know. Which is why I'm gonna go, and I'll be right back.
Adriana: You know, I was afraid you were going to pass out when they took out that needle to draw blood.
Gabi: Yeah, some nurse's kid I am. Mami, I shouldn't have brought her here. There's so many germs. She's probably gonna get sick from just being exposed to them.
I'm afraid we're gonna have to admit your daughter.
Gabi: What? What's wrong with her?
We're just testing for the flu. We've seen several patients today with similar symptoms.
Gabi: Okay, but if it's the flu, then it's nothing serious, right?
Adriana: It can be in some young children. But I'm sure they're just being cautious, mija.
Gabi: Okay. Oh, my God.
Adriana: Calm down. Try to calm down.
You can go in in just a minute. The doctor's just finishing up.
Gabi: Oh, my God.
Adriana: Gabi, then we're going to give her fluids, keep her fever down, and keep her comfortable, okay? Thank you, JJ.
Gabi: How did this happen? I'm not sick. Nobody else is sick.
JJ: Okay, I just ran into a friend back there, and she got called in to take care of another patient with a high fever. It was Paul Narita.
Gabi: Paul's also sick with the same thing? What's going on?
Hope: Tonight was great.
Rafe: We'll do it again very soon.
Hope: I hope so.
Rafe: Next time, no interruptions.
Hope: Guess we can't stand here forever.
Rafe: Lock up tight.
Hope: I'm a cop.
Rafe: You sure are.
Hope: Good night.
Rafe: Good night.
Theresa: How's summer? Or should I say Cindi?
Theresa: Well, I found an old PalPage account registered to a Cindi Callahan, and either summer has an identical twin--God forbid--or she goes by an alias.
Brady: That doesn't surprise me, given her former line of work.
Theresa: Former, right. Brady, would anything about summer surprise you? Because, you know what, if she had to change her name, she's running from something. So what else is she keeping from us?
Dario: Let's go get some shovels.
Summer: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You want me to go dig a grave?
Dario: How else do you expect to get rid of the dead body?
Summer: It's gonna take hours, and Maggie is expecting me.
Dario: Oh, so I should do your dirty work for you?
Summer: Brady's going to get suspicious if I don't show up.
Dario: You got to be quick, sweetheart.
Adriana: I'm going to check with the nurse and see if I can find out more about this strain of flu that's going around, okay? I'll be right back.
Gabi: JJ, Paul--Paul's not a little kid. I mean, if this virus put him in the hospital, then--
JJ: Hey, we got Ari here right away, okay? Everything is gonna be just fine.
Gabi: I'm just worried. What?
JJ: You feeling okay?
Gabi: Yeah, I'm fine.
JJ: Okay, 'cause you're burning up. I'm gonna have the doctor check on you, okay?
JJ: You're warm.
Gabi: Yeah, I feel fine.
[Cell phone beeps]
