Provided By Suzanne

Summer: I sounded like an idiot .

Brady: Summer, listen, relax. Whatever you said, I'm sure you didn't ruin everything.

Summer: I almost told Maggie that I'm her daughter.

Brady: Okay, okay.

Summer: But then I couldn't go through with it. I sounded like an idiot or a crazy person. Probably both.

Brady: Okay--just give yourself a break.

Summer: You know, I am trying so badly to have her like me. But I'm just a bundle of nerves every time I get near her. I just can't do anything right.

Theresa: I have the-- I have an idea.

Summer: What?

Theresa: Look, if you're whole idea was to make a good impression on Maggie before you told her the truth, well, that ship seems to have sailed, so why not just get it over with? And if you're too afraid to spit it out, then I'll tell her, and we won't have to worry about it anymore.

Maggie: [Sighs]

Nicole: Hi.

Maggie: Hi, Nicole.

Nicole: Hi.

Maggie: How are you?

Nicole: Keeping busy. You?

Maggie: Same. So, what can I do for you?

Nicole: I was going through Daniel's library and I was wondering if you wanted me to do something special with his medical books.

Maggie: You could've emailed me to ask that. Why are you really here?

Deimos: Well, if it isn't my very first house guest.

Kate: Hm. Wow, I like what you've done with the place. Although, I do think it demands a woman's touch.

Deimos: Why, thank you. What is it?

Kate: It's a wu Lou.

Deimos: A wu what?

Kate: The principles of feng shui say that it will remove any negative energy that's in an environment, and it will bring you luck and prosperity.

Deimos: Wow. All that, huh?

Kate: Mm.

Deimos: Interesting.

Kate: So you've never seen one before?

Deimos: No. No, I didn't worry too much about decor in my nine-by-five cell.

Kate: [Laughs] Well, believe me, this apartment needs all of the positive energy it could possibly have. I don't want to see you wind up like the guy who lived here before.

Deimos: Insane?

Kate: To put it mildly. So, did you give any more thought to what I said?

Deimos: Oh, I thought about it.

Kate: You understand that a vendetta against Victor-- it could never end well.

Deimos: You're right about that. For Victor, it wouldn't.

Steve: Did they give you any idea what they were planning to do with you and John?

Eduardo: John and I just assumed they were trying to bring us back into the fold.

Rafe: Any names, Eduardo? Contacts? Numbers? Anything you can remember going back-- all the way back to your days at the Winterthorne academy. All right?

Eduardo: Rafe, if I could tell you the names that they told me, but-- I'll do what I can.

Rafe: I contacted the ISA about the alliance, but they stonewalled me, so maybe you'll have some better luck.

Steve: I'll see what I can do.

Rafe: Okay. Marlena?

Marlena: Hm?

Rafe: We set up multiple roadblocks within minutes of John's disappearance. I've contacted the FBI. We are using every possible resource to get John back.

Marlena: I know.

Hope: I came as soon as I heard. What can I do?

Marlena: I thought you were off the force.

Hope: I'm back. We are not gonna lose anyone else we love to these bastards. We'll get John back.

John: [Grunting] [Labored breathing] Come on! [Groaning] [Grunts] [Heavy breathing]

Yo ling: That will get you nothing.

Nicole: Maybe it was selfish of me to come here. But, Maggie, you're the only one who really understands. I just miss Daniel so much.

Maggie: Oh, honey. I know. I know.

Nicole: God, I thought this was supposed to get easier, and it just feels like it's getting h-h-harder. I mean, the rest of the world goes on, and I-- I can't.

Maggie: But you are. You are. You have to. It's what Daniel would want. I truly believe that the one thing stronger than grief is love.

Nicole: [Crying] I don't have that in my life anymore.

Maggie: Oh, Nicole, of course you do.

Nicole: You know, when-- when Brady got-- oh, my God. When Brady got Daniel's heart, at first, it still felt like Daniel was with us.

Maggie: Because he is in so many ways.

Nicole: But then Brady kept having these dreams, and all of a sudden, everything became about this woman summer. I mean, I can't believe he actually found her in L.A.

Maggie: Yeah, it's amazing, isn't it?

Nicole: That is not the word I would use.

Maggie: What do you mean?

Nicole: Maggie, I don't know summer at all, but I don't think I can trust her.

Maggie: Why not?

Nicole: First of all, I'm wondering what she really wants from you.

Summer: No, you can't! If Maggie's gonna find out I'm her daughter, she's gonna hear it from me.

Brady: Yes, I think that's-- I think that's best. But I also think that it's better if she finds out sooner rather than later.

Summer: Not as long as she hates me.

Brady: She doesn't hate you, summer.

Summer: How do you know that?

Brady: Because Maggie is the least judgmental woman--

Theresa: You know what? She's friends with every lost soul in Salem, including me, like I said before.

Brady: Listen. Come on. Why don't you go back to the room, get a little rest. I promise you, I will call you later, and we will figure out your next move.

Summer: Okay.

Brady: Okay.

Summer: Bye.

Theresa: Bye.

Brady: Where were we?

Theresa: I don't know.

Brady: You're upset.

Theresa: I just--I don't understand. Why are we dragging this out, Brady? I mean, pretty soon, every single person in Salem's gonna know that she's Maggie's kid except Maggie.

Brady: I know, I don't like it either.

Theresa: Well, then, her next move needs to be telling the truth.

Brady: I agree with you. I do--but I'm the one that brought her here, it was my idea, and I have to respect her--her wishes.

Theresa: [Laughs] You know what? I'm trying really hard not to be a jealous bitch here, but between summer and Nicole, I just--

Brady: Hold on, wait, wait, stop. What--what about Nicole?

Theresa: I mean, come on, Brady, the two of you were in love, and now that you have Daniel's heart, I don't really--

Brady: No, Theresa, hey, hey, hey, hey--look at me, look at me. I don't love Nicole. Nicole doesn't love me.

Theresa: [Scoffs] I hate feeling so needy. I just-- I just want to be the most important woman in your life.

Brady: Oh, baby, you are.

Theresa: And not because I'm the mother of your child.

Brady: What were we talking about earlier? The future, 2.5 children that we were going to have with those beautiful eyes of yours--

Theresa: Yeah, hopefully not my insecurities.

Brady: You and Tate are everything in the world to me. And if you don't believe me, maybe you'll believe me if I show you--

[Baby crying]

Theresa: Oh, God, just--

Brady: Unbelievable.

Theresa: Hold that thought.

Brady: Okay. Okay.

[Baby crying]

Brady: [Sighs]

[Silently mouthing words]

Kate: Deimos, no.

Deimos: Let me tell you something. I'm gonna have this scar here for the rest of my life. But the fact is, I've had one for as long as I can remember. But the one thing I never had was someone like you. You got to me, Kate, when I didn't think anyone ever could. You made me realize that I don't want to spend what's left of my life in some futile quest for revenge. I want to finally enjoy my future, my life, and I'm hoping I can do that with you.

Kate: Now, do you mean what you say? Or are you telling me that because that's what I want to hear?

Deimos: Look at my choices. Why would I want to obsess over my dilapidated brother when I can obsess over you instead? Come here.

Your father's doing well, but he needs his rest. When you go back in, I have to ask that you keep it brief.

Rafe: Will do.

Marlena: Thanks.

Rafe: You should go home and get some rest.

Marlena: I can't sleep!

Rafe: I wish there was someone I could call for you.

Marlena: Thanks. I don't want to upset Brady until we know something-- his heart.

Rafe: No, I understand.

Marlena: And belle--I'll-- I'll find a time to speak to her, but not yet.

Rafe: Your call.

Hope: Hey, I just spoke to Friedman. He's pulling security camera footage from every building within a five-mile radius of the warehouse. If we can trace the vehicle--

Rafe: We'll find John. It's just a matter of time.

Hope: Every officer on the force has volunteered to help. These bastards chose the wrong guy to mess with.

Marlena: Yes, they did. Excuse me a second.

Hope: Hey.

Rafe: Yeah?

Hope: How are you doing?

Rafe: I'm okay. My father's prognosis is good. We got Ari back safe. Thanks for coming.

Hope: Yeah, of course. John's family.

Rafe: Yeah. I heard they arrested chase. I'm so sorry.

Hope: Me too.

Rafe: How's Ciara? Now, you're not blaming yourself for any of this, are you?

Hope: I can't talk about this right now.

Steve: Hope, Rafe! I think we got a lead.

Allergies can distract you.

Maggie: Nicole, I don't understand.

Nicole: Okay, I saw you and summer talking at the pub, and I followed you here, and I'm not going to apologize, because I know that Daniel would want me to look out for you.

Maggie: But why are you so worried about summer? I didn't even realize you knew her.

Nicole: I went to L.A. A little over a week ago.

Maggie: With Brady?

Nicole: No. No, it's a long story, but I happened to be with Brady when he rescued her, and, you know, she would've died if we didn't pull her out of the water.

Maggie: You pulled--wait-- pulled her out--Brady's heart!

Nicole: I know. He wasn't thinking. He just acted. You know, and it was incredibly scary. And then of course, afterwards, summer said that she didn't have any suicidal intent. But clearly--

Maggie: She needs help.

Nicole: Yes, she does.

Maggie: Well, maybe that's why Brady asked her to come back to Salem.

Nicole: That, and...

Maggie: That and what?

Nicole: Brady thinks Daniel's heart led him to find summer, so he's kind of operating on blind faith. He's opened his house up to her. He's trying to help her find a job. I just wish he would be careful. And Maggie, you need to be careful.

Maggie: Of what? I hardly know summer.

Nicole: Well, she wants to get to know you. I saw how she was acting at the pub.

Maggie: Hm. She seemed flighty. But... you don't think she's dangerous?

[Knocking at door]

Summer: Dario!

Dario: Miss me?

Kate: Oh, my God.

Deimos: What's wrong?

Kate: Oh, I can't stay. I have a meeting in ten minutes.

Deimos: But you're the boss. Postpone it.

Kate: Oh, my God, I wish I could. I wish I could. But I have been-- I've been wooing this supplier and...I have to go.

Deimos: Oh, wooing, huh? Should I be jealous?

Kate: Oh, maybe.

Deimos: Yeah? Is this man you're trying to woo named Lou?

[Both laugh]

Kate: Her name is Mary Burnside, and she's 77 and has a mustache that would make Ryan gosling proud.

Deimos: Oh, wow. At least I know how I rate.

Kate: You want to know how you rate?

Deimos: Sure.

Steve: So, Eduardo and I were talking about his background with the agency. He said if law enforcement interferes in an operation, the sop is to take cover immediately.

Rafe: Well, there were cops all over the warehouse.

Hope: So your experience says they probably didn't take John very far.

Steve: And my contact with the ISA said the alliance likely has a number of safe houses in and around Salem.

Marlena: So you think that's where they're keeping John?

Steve: I think it's our best guess right now.

Marlena: Well, then what are we doing here? What are we waiting around for?

Yo ling: This is an opportunity for you to... redeem yourself... after all those lives you took.

John: I don't owe you anything. Least of all, my life for yours.

Yo ling: I gave you life. I am your father.

John: Oh, yeah, you're no father to me. You know, when I met my mother, the only consolation I had was that you were supposed to be one of the good guys. A bona fide war hero. God, what I would've given to have met you then.

Yo ling: Hm.

John: Now I wish you would've died on that battlefield.

Yo ling: Ah, yes. Amazing creatures. La cucaracha. A member of the "blattodeo" family, from the latin "blatta," an insect that shuns the light. Another phantom. Despite an occasional misstep like this one. They'll probably be here long after we're gone. And do you know why? Because they're capable of collective decision-making, unlike the human species, whose narcissism and self-aggrandizement turns us against each other. We breed distrust and discontent. We create dictators like Idi Amin, Gaddafi, pol pot. That's what I'm fighting against, John. And you, my son, you will be part of that.

[Cane clatters]

Yo Ling: I love you. And this hurts me... that you may lose your life... in the effort we're about to engage in.

John: If you want to do the world some good, why don't you go crawl in a hole and let this filthy disease consume you?

Yo ling: The transfusion will take place in the morning. Get some rest, my son. My belly pain and constipation?

Theresa: Well, fluffy tragically fell behind--

Brady: No, I'm sorry, Theresa is not going to be available until tomorrow. So I'm sure she'll be able to give you a quote then. Thank you.

Theresa: What do you mean I am not available?

Brady: I'm sorry, but I'm done with the interruptions. How about you?

Theresa: That would be nice.

Brady: No one's getting in there...oh!

Theresa: Wow, you are serious.

Brady: I'll make sure of it. Yeah, I'm dead serious. Maybe you don't remember where we left off, but... I do.

Summer: What are you doing here? And do you need a place to crash?

Dario: I went to my brother's place, but he wasn't there. Can't get in touch with him or my sister. If you don't mind.

Summer: 'Course not. So, how'd you find me? I figured Brady put you up in the best hotel in Salem. So... you met your mother, right? How'd that go?

Summer: I met her. She doesn't know who I am yet. And I don't think she's ever going to.

Dario: What?

Summer: It was a huge mistake to come here.

Dario: Why?

Summer: Why does Maggie need a grown up daughter now? She already has two, and they're not as big of a mess as I am.

Dario: Really? And what about you, summer? What is it you need?

Deimos: Oh, I thought you were late.

Kate: Oh, I am. I am. Muah-ah!

Deimos: [Laughs] Well, come back soon, all right? See if this wu Lou thing is working its magic.

Kate: Oh, I think this wu Lou thing is working its magic already.

Deimos: Mm. Come back anyway. All right?

Kate: I will.

Deimos: All right. [Laughs]

[Phone beeps]

Deimos: Hey, it's me. Is the medication I ordered ready or not? Oh, great, it's about time. Have it delivered to my new address ASAP.

[Eduardo groans]

Rafe: Dad. Dad? Hey.

Eduardo: Hey.

Rafe: Listen, I know--I know that you turned your back on the agency years ago. Was there anyone there-- anyone that you trust, anyone who might know where these safe houses are located?

Eduardo: There's a--there's a black card in my wallet. It's got numbers on it.

Rafe: Okay.

Eduardo: Call the second number. Tell him you're my son. Tell him what happened. And hope he can help.

Rafe: You're gonna be okay.

[Foreboding music]

Hope: Hey.

Rafe: Hey.

Hope: Hey. What is it?

Rafe: I'm just... still trying to wrap my mind around... everything.

Hope: Still don't understand how your father was involved.

Rafe: No one told you?

Hope: Told me what?

Rafe: Now I know where my father's been all these years-- why he never wanted to talk about his past.

Hope: Why?

Rafe: He was a trained assassin.

Nicole: I don't have any reason to believe that summer is dangerous to anyone besides herself.

Maggie: That's a relief.

Nicole: But still, I was hoping you would talk to Brady.

Maggie: About?

Nicole: Brady thinks summer was fate, and that he's doing a good deed for Daniel, but he doesn't need her drama in his life right now, and I don't think Daniel would want that at all.

Maggie: Well, I'll certainly talk to him. Thank you, Nicole, for letting me know your concerns.

Nicole: Brady means a lot to me.

Maggie: And to me. I mean, he's very protective of the people he cares about.

Nicole: I know. And finally, I get to look out for him.

[Both laugh]

Maggie: Thank you.

Summer: I was doing fine in L.A.

Dario: Is that why you thought it'd be a cool idea to swim from point Dume to Hawaii? That was a call for help, summer. Don't forget where you were a few weeks ago-- the cottage cheese ceilings, the cockroaches... now it turns out you've got a mom who's loaded. You'd be crazy not to take advantage.

Summer: I know, but--

Dario: Okay, of all the cons we've pulled, this is the one-- the one that we've been waiting for. Except it's not even a con, because nobody needs to pretend. You're her long-lost daughter, the heir to the Kiriakis fortune.

Summer: Well, one of them.

Dario: Take what you can while you still have the chance. You know that Malibu mansion you've been mentally decorating? You know which one. You buy that, and then you'll be doing okay in L.A.

[Knock at door]

Deimos: It's about time. Get in here.

Rory: Easy, man. Business has been insane ever since the competition went down. Got lots of clients besides you.

Deimos: They're not paying you as much as I am. Is that it?

Rory: You have no idea what I went through to get this. All right? It's, like, serious black market. And I like experimenting as much as the next guy, but this stuff can mess you up bad.

Deimos: You let me worry about that.

Summer: Maggie is a nice person.

Dario: Yes, she is.

Summer: I can't screw over the mom that I've waited my entire life to meet.

Dario: You're just taking what's yours. What's the problem with that? Nobody gets hurt. Everyone wins.

Summer: Victor Kiriakis isn't somebody that you want to mess with.

Dario: He's, like, 100 years old. He was my boss at Titan when I was a junior executive. He made so much money off my back. He deserves whatever he gets. Though I guess I should thank him. He did turn me on to a very lucrative line of work.

Summer: I'm sorry-- when did this whole conversation become about you?

Dario: I'm just trying to help. Guess I should go and find my own family. I may or may not be back.

Summer: Okay.

[Dramatic music]

Rory: Hey, man. This is awesome. I'm gonna be able to spring for some Waikiki queen, thanks to you. I hope I can count on you to be one of my regulars.

Deimos: Never want to see you again. If you value that worthless life of yours, you'll keep it that way.

Rory: Hey, some people just got to learn to chill.

[Brady mimics explosion sound]

Brady: Mm.

Theresa: Mm. Let's go to our room.

Brady: No, no, not yet.

Theresa: No, no, no, come on. Come on, come on, come on. Hey. You're worried about waking up Tate, then I-- you don't have to--

Brady: Nope, not worried about that. Listen, there's something that I want to do first.

[Romantic music]

Nicole: Dario? Wha-- wow. You didn't have to come all the way back to Salem just to return my sunglasses.

Dario: I didn't.

Nicole: Oh.

Dario: Actually, I didn't even find them. Sorry.

Nicole: Oh, it's okay. Thanks for looking. So, I guess you came back here to see Gabi and Rafe?

Dario: Yeah. And to collect on that drink you promised me.

Nicole: [Laughs] Yeah, just... let me know when.

Dario: How about tonight?

Nicole: I can't. I'm sorry.

Dario: Oh. I see how it's gonna be.

Nicole: Besides, don't you want to spend time with your family your first day back in Salem?

Dario: Except I can't reach them.

Nicole: Okay.

Dario: And then there's my dad. It seems like I don't have a lot of friends left in Salem now that Mel's left town. There's you and summer, and...

Nicole: Oh, you're still in touch with summer?

Dario: She sent me a text a couple days ago. I really hope everything works out for her.

Nicole: You know what? Maybe I can cancel my appointment and squeeze in time for a drink tonight.

Dario: Name the place and time.

Nicole: Okay.

Nicole: I'll text you.

Dario: Great. I'll see you later.

Nicole: Yeah. Bye.

Rafe: So, what's up is I heard from my father's contact.

Steve: What did he say?

Rafe: Well, the good news is he gave me a list of locations in the tri-state area where the alliance may have set up camp. The bad news, it's a long list. Even with all the manpower that we can muster, might take several days to find it.

Brady: I wasn't originally planning to do this today, so forgive the lack of fanfare.

Theresa: Yeah, I don't care about that.

Brady: I just couldn't wait any longer. I want you to know right here, right now, this second, and always, how much I love you.

Theresa: [Breath catches] I love you too.

Brady: It's because you're smart, and you're talented, and you are-- you're fearless.

Theresa: [Laughs]

Brady: And you crack me up every day, which is very important to me.

Theresa: Well, I'm pretty sure I made you cry every day there for a while.

Brady: Hey, look, likewise.

Theresa: But even in the bad old days, we always did have a lot of fun together.

Brady: Yeah, we did. And now our idea of fun is a rousing game of peek-a-boo with tater-tot.

[Theresa laughs]

Brady: But, Theresa, I am-- I have a whole new life now. And everything we've been through in the last couple months has made me realize what it's all about. And you have stood by me the whole time. And I thank you for that.

Theresa: I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Brady: Neither do I. And that is why-- excuse me, I've been hiding this from you.

[Theresa laughs]

[Brady sighs]

[Theresa gasps] Jeannie Theresa Donovan, will you be--

Theresa: Yes!

Brady: Will you-- [Laughs]

[Both laughing]

Brady: I'll tell you, this is not the reaction I was going for, but...

Theresa: I'm just so happy. Brady black, you are the only man I have ever loved, and the only man I am going to love...

Brady: Mm.

Theresa: ...For the rest of my life.

Brady: Well, good. By the way, do you want to see the ring? I don't even think you looked at it.

[Theresa laughs]

Brady: Look. Tell me you like it.

Theresa: Oh, it's beautiful.

Brady: Theresa, you're beautiful. And I hope you like it. 'Cause I spent a lot of time trying to pick it out. I wanted to get the perfect one.

Theresa: Mm. You're the perfect one for me. And I love you so much.

Maggie: Brady, it's Maggie. Could you please call me when you get a chance? Thanks.

[Ominous music]

What are you doing here?

Deimos: I thought you and I should have a little talk.

Steve: So, I think we should start with the three locations that are closest. I can scout Brookville hope, you can take--

Rafe: Hold on a second.

Hope: Okay.

Rafe: No one's going alone. It's too dangerous.

Steve: You said we got limited resources.

Marlena: Look, we're wasting time arguing--and by the way, I'm going with you.

Rafe: No, no, Marlena--

Marlena: I am going with you.

Steve: She's going with us.

Rafe: And I think you should stay close to home. Be with Ciara. Needs you.

Hope: She does. Go. If anyone can find John, it's you and Steve.

John: [Gasps] [Grunting] [Labored breathing] What's going on? Where's yo ling? I need to talk to him. I got a proposition. What's the matter? Don't you guys talk?

Shut up!

John: Where's yo ling? [Grunting]

[Handcuffs clack]

John: No... oh, my God. No, Paul... Paul! Oh, God. No.
