Brady: Ha, found you. Rebecca Jonas, okay. That's Daniel's wife. That's--no. Who the hell have I been dreaming about?
Nicole: Ugh, these dogs are really barking. Ow.
Theresa: Can you believe we went to every site on the east side?
Nicole: I don't know why it's so hard. All DJ wear needs is, like, a design area, a little kitchenette, a work area, a couple of offices. I mean, we're not talking about 10,000 square feet here. [Groans]
Theresa: I know, I mean, all we need is-- oh, my God. Why didn't I think of that?
Nicole: Hmm, what?
Theresa: I know exactly where we can locate. Come on.
Nicole: Well, wait a minute. Hang on, I'm still putting on my--Teresa! Oh, for Pete's sake. Ow.
John: Wanted to thank you in person.
Eduardo: No need.
John: Still. Got your text. Who was he?
Eduardo: It was Vadim. He broke in, looking to kill me. I immobilized him, explained it was in his best interest to disappear permanently into the ether. He agreed.
John: And you believe him?
Eduardo: Yeah, I do. But you know that's not necessarily how this ends.
John: No. The agency is gonna want to pull us both back in. Or eliminate us.
Eduardo: Yeah, that may be. And if so, next time they'll send someone more careful.
John: Careful doesn't count, not if I start hitting them first.
Eduardo: Oh, no, John. You might want to rethink that.
Kate: Good morning.
Deimos: When I asked you to join me for breakfast, I wasn't sure you'd come.
Kate: Well, a woman has to eat.
Deimos: Happy valentine's day.
[Funky music playing]
You're my downtown
Victor: Recognize this man? He's been around here a few times.
Hector: Yes, sir, I recognize him.
Victor: Good. I want you to find him, convince him to leave Salem.
Hector: What if he says no?
Victor: Then eliminate the problem.
Belle: No, there's no chance the bail will be reduced, so bring your checkbook. I'll meet you there. Someone's having a bad day.
Philip: I made a simple request--have the D.A. Check the files, maybe contact Interpol, the FBI, see if there's anything on Deimos Kiriakis.
Belle: Something you can show your father.
Philip: Hopefully. That baby-faced little snot in Justin's office said there's nothing he could do. "Since there's been no evidence a crime has been committed."
Belle: I thought my father was helping you check out Deimos.
Philip: Me too. I've left messages. I've sent texts. It's like John's blowing me off.
Belle: That's weird. Let me take care of that.
Eduardo: I'm just saying, you know, sometimes the best thing you can do is nothing.
John: Yeah, but you said it yourself, the agency trained us as assassins. They're not gonna let us just walk away.
Eduardo: Yeah. So they bring it to us, you know, they make a move on us, then we act, but I'm gonna concentrate on my family right now, man. It's long past time they came first.
John: Sorry you wound up in the middle of all this.
Eduardo: No, no, no, I'm glad it happened. I'm glad to know there's somebody that I can trust in this world, somebody I can turn to for help.
Eduardo: We just can't be starting a war right now, brother. You know? Right now it's gotta be about family. I just hope I'm not too late.
Kate: You do know that valentine's day was yesterday.
Deimos: But we didn't see each other yesterday, so I figured, why not celebrate today?
Kate: Thank you. My goodness. [Chuckles]
You're my anytime connection [Gasps] Wow. This is-- wow. I don't know what to say.
Deimos: Just my way of wishing you all the best in your new business.
Kate: Well, thank you. But I can't accept it.
Nicole: Okay, why are we here again? Do you need to get an address, or what?
Theresa: What? No, this is the address. I mean, come on, look around, it's perfect.
Nicole: You're serious?
Theresa: What's wrong with it?
Theresa: I mean, it's only for a few weeks, and you know, this way we don't have to commit to anything we don't really want.
Brady: Hi. Did you guys find a space?
Theresa: No, everything was a bust. You know, I'm actually trying to talk Nicole into letting our place be the new headquarters-- for a while anyway. I mean, you're okay with that, right?
Brady: Um, sure. Sure.
Theresa: Good. Mmm, coffee smells good.
Brady: It's decaf, high octane for you, whole pot.
Theresa: Mmm, thank you.
Brady: You're welcome.
Theresa: Hey, Nicole, do you want one?
Nicole: No, I'm good, thank you.
Theresa: All right, well, I will be right back, and then we're gonna talk about business as soon as I return, okay?
Nicole: Uh-huh. Brady, are you sure you're okay with this?
Brady: If you are.
Nicole: What about Theresa?
Brady: Theresa's the one that proposed the idea.
Nicole: Oh, come on. You know, she doesn't really want us being together. You know that, right? Brady, these dreams you've been having, even if they aren't as intense as they used to be--
Brady: Nicole, it's not-- it's not a problem anymore. Theresa understands. I have Daniel's heart. It's going to affect both of us, and she gets that.
Theresa: Really needed this.
Nicole: [Clears throat] Theresa... are you sure you want me underfoot like this? I'll be intruding on your privacy.
Theresa: No, no, no, hey, it's only for a couple weeks, until we can find a space. There's nothing wrong with that.
Brady: Sounds like a plan.
Nicole: Well, if you're both okay, then what's up first?
Brady: Money. Money, money. I need both your budgets as soon as possible.
Theresa: Yeah, mine doesn't have to be realistic, right? [Laughs] I'm kidding.
Brady: Mm-mm. I knew you were.
Theresa: Yeah. Actually, Nicole, I was thinking you and I should probably work on budgets together, you know, so we can make sure we keep each other honest.
Nicole: Good idea. We start with one seamstress first, right?
Brady: I'm sorry, it's time for my checkup at the hospital. I have to meet with Fynn.
Theresa: What? I thought that was this afternoon. I was gonna go with you.
Brady: No, Fynn had to-- he had to switch things around, but I hired a car. It's not a big problem. Listen, I need those budgets, so work with Nicole, okay?
Brady: I will--I'll see you in a couple of hours, okay?
Theresa: Okay. All right.
Theresa: Bye. Good luck.
Nicole: Yeah, good luck, Brady.
Theresa: Listen, Nicole, you and I need to get a couple things straight.
Philip: Hey, John.
John: Hey, Philip. Listen, I did a little research and I think I'm onto something here. I'm not sure how it's gonna relate to your uncle at this point, though.
John: A series of phone calls came in from Greece to a Dr. Seth Malcolm a while back. I found that kind of odd.
Philip: Who's Seth Malcolm?
John: Well, hope is positive he's the guy who tortured Bo, trying to get that formula for the drug that Vic developed.
Philip: Oh, right. Hope killed him.
John: Ruled self-defense, but the thing is, the police were looking for a link between the DiMeras and this Dr. Malcolm. These calls that came in to him were from Greece, and that kind of threw up a red flag, so let me ask you something. How long has your uncle been in the states?
Philip: Uh, not long. Before that he was in Greece, but he was in prison. How could he be calling some doctor over here?
John: I don't know. Maybe he didn't, but if he is as slippery as you say he is, these calls are facts you should know about, and... look into a little bit.
Deimos: I don't understand. Why can't you accept such a lovely gift?
Kate: Well, for the first thing, I hardly know you. We have no relationship whatsoever, and... even though it is a gorgeous piece, it's inappropriate.
Deimos: Wow. Okay. Well, then I apologize. I guess where I've spent the last 30 years, it hasn't exactly honed my skills on how to act around a beautiful woman. Hmm. But let me plead my case. I would love to have a relationship with you. I think you're fascinating. I mean, you're a woman with-- how should I say this? Backbone. I mean, just the fact that you turned down my offer to help finance your buyout of your friends in--
Kate: Basic black.
Deimos: Right. Now, that took strength, and I admire that. So, I do apologize if I insulted you by offering such an extravagant gift. It's just a trinket to me, something that deserves to be around the neck of a lovely woman, but... that's not gonna happen.
Kate: Oh. Look. It's beautiful, and I know you must have gone to a lot of trouble to get it, so I... have decided I will accept it...on one condition.
Deimos: And what's that?
Kate: You put it around my neck.
Deimos: With pleasure.
Fynn: Breathe in.
Brady: [Breathes deeply]
Fynn: All your vitals are perfect, no signs of anything here. So except for your little incident with Theresa...
Fynn: No problems?
Brady: No, none at all.
Fynn: Good. The nurse will be in to take some blood, see how you're tolerating your medication. That scar will fade. A year from now, it'll just be a thin, white line. Brady? You all right?
Brady: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Fine.
Fynn: If something's eating at you, don't bottle it up. Produces stress. Something happen today?
Brady: No. No, nothing happened. I've been coloring since I was 19.
Philip: Thanks. I may know some people at different phone companies who can help out with those calls. If you find anything else, text me.
John: Will do. Hold on, Philip. I know that you got belle to trick me into taking this meeting so you could put the screws to me, so now I'm gonna put the screws to you. What the hell is going on between you and my daughter?
Philip: [Sighs] I'm not sure. Me, I would like to see her a lot more. I think she wants to see me.
John: And you want to know what I think? I think my daughter's life is messed up right now and my granddaughter's life is also messed up right now, and I think it's because you're sniffing around too much.
Philip: John, no way I would ever hurt her.
John: Yeah, talk about empty promises.
Philip: I mean it. Honestly-- [Sighs] I'm more worried she's gonna hurt me.
John: Why would you say that?
Philip: Because I think I'm falling in love with her.
Lani: If you're looking for Shawn, he's out at a crime scene.
Belle: Why do you think that's why I'm here?
Lani: Belle, you can't avoid him. You're here all the time, seeing skels and-- sorry, clients. You're bound to run into him.
Belle: And why is that any of your business?
Lani: Because we need a forensics guy who is at the top of his game and not worried about his soon-to-be ex wrecking his life.
Belle: That is not what-- why would you say something like that to me? What, is Shawn talking about our personal life? Because it's-- [Laughs] You know what, Lani, it's none of your damn business. Butt out.
Theresa: We've known each other a while.
Theresa: And we didn't get along at first, which is mostly my fault, I know, but I--
Nicole: Well, I wasn't exactly--
Theresa: But I had you pegged. You're what I call a loud mouth free radical.
Theresa: No, no, listen, it's a compliment, okay? It means that you're free, you speak your mind, you're not afraid to make waves, noise, whatever. But you know what, lately, you've just turned into this droopy little hush puppy. I mean, honest to God, Nicole, you act like if you raise your voice around Brady, he's gonna break.
Nicole: Yeah, well, you know, I'm just trying to--
Theresa: You're trying to make us believe that you're not affected by the fact that Daniel's heart is inside of Brady. But you are. It's okay. Just be yourself, will you? We get it.
Nicole: Yeah, okay.
Theresa: Okay. You know, we tried to get away from Kate 'cause she was so controlling, and that's why we started DJ wear, right? It's our whole vibe, it's just gotta be cool and awesome and good. Just let go.
Nicole: Oh, s-sure. You know, it's just been a rough couple of days, that's all, I was... supposed to be married yesterday. [Sobs]
Theresa: Valentine's day, right.
Nicole: And to top it all off, Theresa, Daniel had arranged for these gorgeous flowers to be delivered for our day and they came with this-- with this beautiful note that was just...so Daniel. [Sobs]
Theresa: Nicole. You just can't get a break, can you? Oh, come here.
Fynn: Your blood work's all good.
Brady: Well, that's good. Then I can get back to work, right?
Fynn: Don't overdo it.
Brady: I won't overdo it. Fynn.
Brady: Listen, man, I wasn't completely honest with you before about... not holding something in. I thought I could handle it myself, but I--
Fynn: Come on, let's hear it.
Brady: Remember, I told you about those dreams?
Brady: Well, in the beginning, it was Nicole that I saw. Now it's another woman.
Fynn: Daniel's wife Rebecca?
Fynn: In Malibu?
Brady: Right, right, but I looked her picture up on the internet and it's-- it's not Rebecca.
Fynn: What does she look like?
Brady: She has long, sandy, brown hair. She has brown eyes. She's beautiful.
Fynn: Sounds more like summer.
Brady: Su--summer, who's that?
Fynn: This girl that Daniel took under his wing when he was out there. I can't remember her last name. Nothing sexual. He just tried to help her. She had some psychological issues--on meds, as I recall.
Brady: Is she still in L.A.?
Fynn: Could be, I don't know, but look, don't start obsessing over this new vision, all right? It'll pass, or it'll morph into something else. You gotta concentrate on what's real, here right now. Theresa, your little boy. Stay focused on what's real.
Lani: Belle, it's not like it's some big secret. I was there the other day when you two were snapping at each other.
Belle: Mm-hmm, as I think I made clear, it's personal and private.
Lani: All I am saying is Shawn is worried about his family all the time. He needs to know if things will work out or not.
Belle: My. Detective and a psychologist. Hmm.
Lani: [Scoffs] You know what, sometimes you gotta be both. Why don't you figure out what you want--what's important--and stop making him worry about when the next shoe is gonna drop?
Belle: You're right. If I see him around here, really, it's no big deal, but if you see him, you tell him he's no longer my priority. I have someone else I need to focus on.
John: We've been down this road, haven't we, Philip?
Philip: And I get it. You want to protect her. So do I. I never want to see belle hurt again.
John: You ever hear the phrase "talk is cheap"?
John: And how the hell do you think you're gonna go up against someone like Deimos Kiriakis and carry on a sweet little love affair on the side? Been there, done that, and trust me, someone always suffers, and I don't want it to be my daughter. So think this through, Philip.
Hector: Got a bead on him right now, sir.
Victor: Good. Don't lose him. I want this handled today, the sooner the better.
Deimos: This has to be the best meal I've had since I came to Salem. Because of the view.
Kate: It is a beautiful necklace.
Deimos: Yes, the jewels are lovely, but it's the eyes-- definitely the eyes.
Philip: Hey, Eduardo. What's up?
Eduardo: Hey, Philip. There's an interesting meal in progress.
Philip: Why did I tell my mother to be careful around that sleaze ball? All it did was make him more interesting.
Eduardo: What do you know about him?
Philip: More than I'd like to. His name is Deimos Kiriakis. He's my father's half-brother, and he just got done doing 30 years in Greece on a murder charge.
Eduardo: And Kate is aware of this? I thought she was smarter than that.
Philip: She's as smart as they come, but with men-- let's say her radar's on the fritz. I thought you guys were an item.
Eduardo: We were doing a bit of a dance. She thinks I'M... not what she was looking for.
Philip: Trust me, neither is Deimos.
Theresa: You know, you need to start thinking of us as family, Nicole-- your work family.
Nicole: Wow. That's amazing, thank you. It's good to see you and Brady so happy. It's kind of like you're a perfect fit.
Theresa: That means a lot. I mean, you'll be happy again someday too. Look, I mean it, okay? Just have some faith. You'll fall in love again-- when you're ready.
Nicole: Yeah. I'll never find Daniel again.
Theresa: No. He'll be different. But you'll love him just as much.
Nicole: Don't bet on it.
[Knocking at the door]
Brady: Come in.
Maggie: Hey. Well, I heard you had a checkup. How'd it go?
Brady: I'm perfect, all things considered.
Brady: How's granddad doing? Uh-oh. Maggie?
Maggie: Oh, wow. Well, have you heard about Deimos?
Brady: No, who's Deimos?
Maggie: Victor's brother. He's been around a while, and he is carrying one heck of a grudge.
Brady: A grudge about?
Maggie: He murdered the young woman that Victor was gonna marry, so he's been in prison for 30 years.
Brady: Are you--you're kidding me, right?
Maggie: No. But see, he claims that he's been set up by Victor, and apparently, he's made some threats, more than once.
Brady: And how's granddad handling all this?
Maggie: I have no idea. Oh, come on, you know how Victor plays everything close to the vest.
Kate: [Indistinct chatter]
Philip: He claims it was my father who did the murder, and he had to suffer for it. The way he acts-- just one more lie.
Eduardo: So he set you up and then betrayed you in front of your father. That's cold.
Philip: And now he's pulling my mother in.
Eduardo: It'd be a shame to see your mom get hurt by a guy like that.
Philip: I gotta meet someone.
Eduardo: All right. I'm gonna do a little digging, see what I come up with on Mr. Kiriakis.
Philip: I've already tried. Nothing. I've got some pros involved.
Eduardo: Yeah, well, I tend to use unique sources. Good talking to you, man.
Theresa: Life is so perfect right now. I mean, my biggest fear is that somebody's just gonna pinch me and say, "wake up!" Oh, God, I'm sorry. That was so insensitive of me with all your problems and all you have going on--
Nicole: No, no, no, no, no, no, it's--it's okay. Look, you're on your way. Why shouldn't you feel proud of that, you know? You found the love of your life, you have a beautiful baby, a promising career. It's... it's nice.
Theresa: Where's that article? You know, I'm-I think you're gonna be fine. I read this amazing article the other day about how you can find love after a terrible loss, and--let's see.
Theresa: Oh, here it is. Okay, you have to take a little test first, all right?
Theresa: No, no, no.
Nicole: No, no, I'm not sure I'm up for a test.
Theresa: First question--
Nicole: I don't want to take a test.
Theresa: "Where are you going to meet your perfect fantasy guy? A bookstore, a church, or an online dating site?"
Theresa: Uh, okay. [Sighs] "Do you mind if he has kids? Yes or no."
Nicole: One grown daughter and one little boy.
Theresa: "Do you see him as a blonde or brunette?"
Nicole: What? I'm sorry. All I want is Daniel.
Theresa: Okay, all right, let's just--you know, we're gonna try again.
Nicole: No, I don't want to try again! I want Daniel!
Brady: You think Deimos is dangerous?
Maggie: Huh. Dangerous enough, but--
Brady: But what?
Maggie: Um, you know what? It's really okay, because you probably--you know, it's not healthy for you to be drawn into things too much.
Brady: No, no, Maggie, stop. Don't treat me like an invalid. I'm not. I want to hear about this. Please, tell me.
Maggie: Okay. Please don't get upset. Philip sided with Deimos. He betrayed your grandfather.
Brady: Of course. Why would he do that?
Maggie: I don't know.
Brady: Why would he do that? What does this Deimos guy want? What does he want, money? Does he want revenge? What does he want?
Maggie: Brady, I don't know. It's bad, though. Philip and Victor are not speaking.
Brady: This--that's just great. That's terrific.
Maggie: Maybe-- oh, drop by, for a visit. At least let him know that you love him. He feels abandoned.
Brady: Of course, of course, of course I will.
Brady: No, I do love him.
Maggie: All right.
Brady: I always will. He should know that.
Maggie: He might try to put you back in at Titan.
Brady: Look, I would love to patch things up with grandfather, but I don't think I'm ready to go back to Titan.
Maggie: Because you're still healing?
Brady: No, no, I'm actually thinking about going into a venture with Theresa and Nicole.
Brady: But honestly, I don't even know if that's what I want to do.
Maggie: Sounds like you're at a crossroad.
Kate: Well, you have made me late for my first meeting.
Deimos: Well, then I apologize again. Clearly, breakfast wasn't the best choice. So what do you say we meet for dinner? That way you won't have anything scheduled.
Kate: I could go for that.
Deimos: Excellent. I'll call you.
Kate: Do. Ciao.
Eduardo: Hi. Wow. I've got to say, that is really something.
Kate: It is, isn't it?
Eduardo: Yeah, it's... really something.
Eduardo: I'll see you around. Hey.
Theresa: Nicole, I just-- I get too excited about things sometimes. I wasn't thinking.
Nicole: It's okay. I have to learn to deal, but it's just really hard.
Theresa: I know, I know. Hey.
Theresa: How are you? How'd it go?
Brady: Well, apparently, I'm alive and I will be for some time.
Theresa: Oh, terrific.
Brady: Thank you.
Nicole: Brady, that's really great news. Look, Theresa, we've accomplished a lot this morning, but I have some places to be a little later, so I'll just-- I'll call you, okay?
Nicole: Yeah. Bye.
Brady: Hey, bye. Anything wrong?
Theresa: Honestly? It's like she needs someone to give her permission to fall in love again.
Brady: Look, Theresa, she's just begun to mourn.
Theresa: No, you know what? Someone might be--
Brady: Wait, hold on a second. Did--are you pushing her back into the game or something?
Theresa: What? It's dangerous for people like her to not have love and support, you know, like an anchor.
Brady: Like someone else I know.
Theresa: Yeah. I mean, maybe a little, I guess. Brady, I was so awful before you came into my life, and--showed up and said that you love me. You saved me. You did. You know what, mister? I am never letting go.
Philip: I got your text. Hey.
Philip: Thanks for setting me up with your dad. He might be on to something. Why don't we go have some lunch and I'll go over it with you?
Belle: I can't.
Philip: Okay, why'd you want to meet?
Belle: I--well, I wanted to do this face-to-face. I...think that you and I should take a break and give each other some space.
Philip: Well... yeah, if you want. What brought this on?
Belle: I just think that I should be focusing my energy on trying to connect with my daughter again, and you know, if you're always hanging around, that's just not gonna happen.
Philip: Well, what we had was--it was just fun-- for the both of us. And I'm kind of in the same boat; I need to focus on finding some way to make things up to my dad.
Belle: Good, okay, well, we're in agreement. [Chuckles] Time to give each other some space. You made this really easy. Thanks.
Nicole: [Sobs] [Sobs] Whew. You're strong. You can do this. You can do this.
Deimos: Oh, my God. Victor sent you, didn't he?
Hector: My friend, you're leaving Salem.
Deimos: No, I don't think so, and he's gonna have to send a hell of a lot more than you to do his dirty work.
Hector: We're gonna go somewhere private where we can have a talk. [Grunts] [Grunting] [Groans]
Maggie: Victor. What have you been doing?
Maggie: Hi, honey.
Victor: Waiting for you.
Maggie: So what have you been up to?
Victor: Good God, woman, do I always have to be up to something?
Maggie: Well, because you usually are, so what's going on?
Victor: Nothing for you to worry about.
Maggie: Fine. Fine.
