Kayla: Uh, Bo, if--
Bo: Uh, you know what? I'm gonna talk to hope. Why don't we get out of here, you know? Maybe we'll take a walk in the park across the street.
Hope: All right, bye.
Kayla: You need to talk to me later.
[Cell phone rings]
Rafe: Hernandez. No, I'll go pick up the statement, and actually, I have a few more questions for the victim. Still in the ER? Okay, I'm on my way.
[Knock at door]
Steve: Hi. Is that Bo?
Kayla: Yeah. He's, uh-- he's with hope.
Steve: He's telling her?
Steve: This isn't how Bo and hope should end.
Kayla: I'm just grateful to you for bringing him back.
Steve: [Sighs] This is lousy timing.
[Cell phone beeps]
Steve: You need to see this.
Kayla: There's another message?
Kayla: Who is this?
Steve: I don't know. It doesn't sound like the kind of guy I ran down before.
Kayla: Oh, perfect. Another person that you pissed off in one of your missions is out here to ruin our life. Great.
Steve: Hey, listen to me. That's not gonna happen.
Kayla: He already poisoned our son.
Steve: What are you doing? Kayla.
[Cell phone beeps]
Kayla: Fighting back.
Steve: "We know who you are." Whoa.
Marlena: Sami, I need you to call me right away. I just spoke to your father, and he said that he has not seen you, so I can only hope that you've given up this crazy idea of going after the DiMeras. Please call me. Let me know that you're all right. Bye.
John: No luck reaching Sami?
Marlena: No. No. I just hope that she's not in any danger.
Sami: [Grunts] [Sighs] [Sniffles]
Sami: [Grunts] No, no, get off. Let me go. No!
André: Are you trying to make a run for it, Sami?
Sami: You son of a bitch.
André: You disappoint me so.
Sami: You son of a bitch. You let me go.
André: What, you think that's gonna help you?
Sami: Nothing's happening while I'm being held prisoner. You understand me? I don't care what you want.
André: What makes you think I want anything apart from the pleasure of seeing you locked up?
Sami: You're here. You want something.
André: I've missed this so.
Sami: I don't care.
André: Well, you better care, Sami, because no matter how much you bluster, you're not in charge, so you better listen to the man with the keys. Otherwise I might just lock that door and leave you here to rot.
Steve: I admire your chutzpah.
Kayla: But that was stupid. No, look, I just-- I'm just fed up with the whole thing, all right? I mean, if they want to come after us, then come after us in the open.
[Cell phone chimes]
Steve: Uh-oh. Here we go. "If you know who I am, then you know this is serious."
Kayla: What does that mean?
Steve: It means you kicked the hornet's nest, baby.
Kayla: Well, good.
Steve: Well, now what? What's our next move?
Kayla: I thought that you would figure that out.
Kayla: Kayla Brady. Oh, oh, I completely forgot. I-I mean, I didn't forget. I just--yeah, I lost track of time. I'll be right there.
Steve: What-- wait, where you going?
Kayla: I have a whole room full of interns waiting for me, so I need to go handle that. In the meantime, you figure out who we're dealing with.
Bo: You look beautiful. Then again, you always do.
Hope: Ciara. She, um... wanted me to--to try.
Bo: Oh, come on, fancy face. You don't have to try.
Hope: Try? Yes, I do. I messed up really badly, Brady.
Bo: Oh, no, you didn't.
Hope: I was so stupid. How could I not see what Aiden really was?
Bo: You can't be angry at yourself for that.
Hope: I've got plenty of anger to go around, believe me, and it's the worst. Why'd you have to go off on that assignment? Why couldn't you just come home like you kept promising you would? None of this would have happened if you had.
Bo: I know. I know. I'm--I'm sorry.
Hope: Don't you dare apologize. Yes, I am mad as hell at you, but I don't have any right to be. Brady, you were kidnapped, kidnapped and tortured. Now, where the hell do I get off being mad at you for that? What they did to you, what they took from you...
Bo: No, no. All they stole from me was-- was time. That's it.
Hope: Is it? Will we ever be the same again?
Sami: You wouldn't go to all this trouble just to throw me away in a hole.
André: It's no trouble at all. And actually, yes, that's exactly what we do to anyone who steals from the DiMeras.
Sami: I'm a DiMera.
André: Oh, yeah, 'cause you hoodwinked my brother, that idiot, into that sham of a marriage so you could rob my father the first time.
Sami: EJ and I were madly in love, something that the DiMeras never could understand.
André: Oh, he was a fool. From the time he was born until he was--his untimely death, you know, that man, he was misled by his passions, which is the only way you could have ended up in Zurich.
Sami: I don't know what you're talking about.
André: I know you went to Switzerland to visit some safety deposit box and empty it of all of its contents, which makes you as big a fool as my late unlamented brother.
Sami: Oh, you're ranting now. Gosh, I think that rehab, that recovery is not working.
André: EJ is the only way you could have gotten access to that box.
Sami: What, are you living in some undead DiMera zombie place?
André: Which means he crossed a line which could have gotten him killed if he wasn't gone already, which also could kill your children. Yes. You've already lost a son. Oh, wouldn't it be just a tragedy for that to happen again?
Sami: Two of my children are DiMeras, Stefano's grandchildren. He would never harm them.
André: But you're dealing with me, Sami.
John: Got you. Thanks. I talked to a few of my contacts, and they haven't seen anything unusual coming out of the DiMera house for the last couple days.
Marlena: Do you think that she's safe?
John: Well, what I think is, she hasn't started a war, or we would have heard something by now.
Marlena: All right. Uh, I, um-- I called Eric. I think I'm gonna see him before my first patient.
John: All right.
Marlena: I just want to make sure we're all sharing the same information, that's all.
John: Yeah, sure.
Marlena: Yeah. I should go.
John: All right.
[Knock at door]
John: Hey. Man of the hour. Come on in.
Steve: Oh, I don't hear that very often.
John: Come on. You brought Bo back here. You got the golden ticket in Salem for quite a while now.
Steve: Well, I think we're just lucky Bo got home when he did.
John: That's a fact. So what brings you by?
Steve: Well, I've been getting some threatening texts from someone, and I was hoping the ISA could help me track down the source.
John: [Inhales sharply] Well, you know, I'm sure they could, um, but I don't work for them anymore. I quit.
Steve: I can't believe that.
Marlena: Neither can I. When did this happen?
John: Uh, just a little while ago. I was gonna surprise you with the news.
Marlena: You did.
John: Well, then smile. Come on, you never wanted me to go back there in the first place.
Marlena: I want you to be happy.
John: I'm happy right here.
Marlena: Did you do it for me? 'Cause if it makes you unhappy to have done this, then I--
John: Never. This is right where I want to be.
Marlena: Okay. We'll talk about it tonight.
John: Okay. Say hi to Eric. Call me if you need something.
Marlena: All righty.
Steve: Bye, Marlena. Yeah, big sacrifice you made for your woman. I knew that. I know how the agency works. You didn't quit. They fired your ass.
André: Why don't you give me back what you took, and then we can all live happily ever after?
Sami: There's only one way that's going to happen.
André: And there's only one way you can keep breathing. That's for certain.
Sami: Where is he?
Sami: Where is Stefano? I mean, isn't this his favorite activity, holding prisoners? Unless he doesn't know that you've kidnapped me.
André: I'm handling all of the family business, at his request.
Sami: I'll take that as a no. I bet you don't have access to those accounts, do you? I mean, Stefano never trusted you.
André: Times change.
Sami: Not that much. And you're not a man who forgives and forgets easily. You're not running the business for him. You want it for yourself. That's your plan, isn't it, to leave Stefano penniless?
André: [Laughs] I would never do that to my--
Sami: Spare me. I've heard it all before. I've heard it from EJ. I've watched EJ and his father go back and forth, the way Stefano treats his sons and the way his sons treat him. That's what you want. You're looking to take over the entire DiMera empire. Only your baby brother beat you to it, didn't he? EJ got there first.
André: Why do you keep talking about him as if he were still alive?
Bo: Fancy face, there's... nothing can destroy what we have. Nothing. And all that time I was away, when you thought I had abandoned you, I would have done anything to get back home, to get back to you.
Hope: And you did. You made it, Brady. Does that mean that we've made it?
Bo: Kind of up to you. I mean, I was gone a long time. Can you forgive me?
Hope: Don't. You've got to stop apologizing. You have to stop blaming yourself.
Bo: You first.
Bo: You first.
Sami: EJ's spirit will always be with me.
André: [Laughs] You're so dramatic. Hollywood must really suit you. I mean, it's not as if this is an epic war, a sibling rivalry, or anything so grand. You're just a grubby little thief who needs to return what she took and go home.
Sami: Wow. Since you put it like that...
André: It'd be a big mistake for you not to cooperate.
Sami: I'm not the one who's not cooperating. It's you, André. There's a deal to be made here.
André: A deal.
Sami: We both want the same thing: To bring Stefano down.
André: You give me the account access. Otherwise there's nothing.
Sami: No problem. I'll give it to you. I'll give you every single thing I found in that safe deposit box. All I ask for in return is half.
André: Half? Of?
Sami: The money. You can keep the rest, but I want to secure my children's future.
André: You're so generous.
Sami: I know. Take it. Take the business. Run it to the ground. Been there, done that. I don't give a damn, as long as you promise to keep Stefano out of it, as long as you promise me you will leave him the dying, broken old reptile he deserves to be.
André: And he speaks so highly of you.
Sami: I'll give you the numbers. I'll give you everything. You just bring Stefano down.
André: Or you give me the numbers, and I let you live. Oh, come on, Sami. Look where you are. You think people will miss you? And frankly, it's not like you have too many champions in this town. Oh, yes, you do. You have the Bradys. Because they would wail, and they would bellow. Oh, that would be such an added incentive for me.
Sami: But if I die without giving you those numbers, then you have nothing.
André: But, Sami, I'm giving you a chance to live, to go home to your children, to your swimming pool, to your movie deals. Just give me the numbers.
André: [Breathes sharply] Hmm.
André: Enjoy the solitude away from your family, your children, from life. I can wait you out.
Hope: So, um... if we don't blame each other and all is forgiven, then...
Bo: Well, we move on. Are you ready for that?
Hope: I don't know. I didn't want to get dressed today, and I had nightmares last night. It felt good to laugh, but I can't.
Bo: You can't let go?
Hope: What if Steve hadn't come back, if he hadn't found you? I am so sorry. I'm so--
Bo: No, no, no.
Hope: My god, how the hell are you gonna forgive the wife you nearly killed yourself to get back to, only to find out that she had moved on with someone so horrific that he almost killed both of you?
Bo: No, hope, stop. Stop. Please stop. Please stop. Please stop.
Hope: I'm sorry.
Bo: We don't have time for this. Fancy face, we don't-- we don't have time. Shh.
André: Oh! Ah, Marlena. I'm so glad I bumped into you.
Marlena: You'll have to excuse me.
André: Oh, I wouldn't do that.
Marlena: What do you want?
André: I have a problem that I know you can help me with.
Marlena: A therapist is what you need, no doubt. I'll recommend someone.
André: No, no. I need to speak to you. We should keep it in the family.
Marlena: In whose family?
André: Ours. That's the problem-- my wacky sister-in-law, your missing daughter, Sami.
Hope: Oh, Brady. We have all the time now. I promise. All my time, every minute. We'll have all the time to heal now, just you and me. Bo. Bo--
Bo: I'm sorry.
Hope: No. If that's how you feel.
Bo: Oh, fancy face, I love you. That feeling will never change.
Hope: Is it enough? Can you ever...
[Cell phone beeps]
Hope: What is it?
Bo: [Sighs] It's Kayla. Um, she, um, needs me to go talk to her. I can, um, take you home.
Hope: No, I'm fine. I can-- you don't have to do that. I'm okay. I just need, um, some time.
Bo: You sure?
Hope: Go on.
Marlena: And how is Sami your problem?
André: Oh, let me count the ways. I know you were quite busy during her youth, but she really needed a firmer hand.
Marlena: I don't know what that means.
André: Well, just the basics, for instance, like don't steal other people's property.
Marlena: Sami is not a thief.
André: Oh, yes, she is, and you know it. I saw it in your face just now. She went to Zurich, and she stole personal property of my father's out of a safe deposit box.
Marlena: Well, that's absurd.
André: Well, I agree, and it wasn't bright, but that's what that little minx did. She stole important information, just stashed it away-- at your house, for all I know. But that is the first place she visited when she got back from Switzerland.
Marlena: I don't know what you're talking about.
André: I thought you were a great listener, but let me start again. Your daughter stole personal property.
Marlena: Well, if you think that Sami stole something from a Swiss bank, she would need a passcode, password, some sort of formula, wouldn't she? I mean, the bank would require that.
André: That doesn't make it right.
Marlena: You have such gall. You know what? If you think Sami has stolen something, why don't you turn her over to the Swiss authorities, hmm?
André: Why use a middleman when Samantha is already here... or is she?
Marlena: I'm not going to tell you where Samantha is.
André: No, Marlena, I'm going to tell you. We have your daughter. [Laughs] And she is being so uncooperative.
Steve: You were one of the ISA's best men. I might not have been all that, but I guess you could say I was their, well, scrappiest.
John: What are you talking about, man? You were a damn good agent. You found Bo when no one else could--without the ISA.
Steve: My point. Without the ISA. They trained us, john. We still have that.
John: What's going on here? What are you thinking about?
Steve: I'm thinking that we go into business together. We open our own shop: Investigation.
John: What, are you talking about pis?
Steve: Yes. We take the cases we want to take. Hey, you could get licensed again. You were just with the force, right? You could be the respectable, sane front man.
John: [Laughs] That'd be a first.
Steve: I'd vote for you over me. Huh? All we need is a little capital to get started.
John: Where you been, man? I just sold basic black. I'm liquid. I can underwrite the whole damn thing.
Steve: Well, that's great.
John: Yeah. We need to bring Bo on board.
Steve: Yeah, well, I think we should wait till we're up and running, 'cause he needs a little time with his family right now.
John: All right, fine, fine. We'll give him the time, yeah.
Steve: But you and me?
Steve: Huh, what do you say? You up for it?
Steve: Can you handle a one-eyed partner?
John: You know, as long as it's old dead eye, hell yeah. Hey, how about we call the firm black patch?
Steve: Oh, now, that's a handle.
Steve: Oh, yeah.
Bo: Hey, man.
Rafe: Hey, Bo. How's it going?
Bo: It's going. Witness statement?
Rafe: Oh, b&e and assault last night.
Bo: Oh, so you're working.
Rafe: I don't need to be. What do you need?
Bo: [Sighs] I left hope in the park across the street. I have to talk to Kayla. Hope is not--she's not doing so good.
Rafe: All right, I'm on it.
Rafe: Don't worry about it.
Bo: Yeah, thanks, man.
Hope: Hey. [Crying]
Rafe: You want to talk about it?
Hope: I've lost Bo. I've lost everything. I've lost Bo. [Sobbing]
[Knock at door]
Kayla: Uh, don't yell at me. I didn't mean to butt in. I just thought I would help if you needed it.
Bo: No, I don't.
Kayla: I know it wasn't easy telling hope.
Bo: I didn't tell her. I couldn't.
Marlena: Where do you have Sami?
André: Not the right question.
Marlena: Well, where is she?
André: Again, not the right question.
Marlena: Just--just tell me.
André: That's better. Closer. I would have said--just say, "you know, what can I do to help you, André, so I can make sure my daughter is returned safely?"
Marlena: What do you want?
André: I want the passwords and the account numbers that Sami stole.
Marlena: I don't have those.
André: Yes, you do, because she was thoroughly checked. They weren't on her.
Marlena: Here's an idea: If you're so concerned about the numbers, why don't you call the bank and change them? That way, it won't even matter what Sami has.
André: It's not that simple.
Marlena: Well, the great Stefano DiMera could do it. All he has to do is... call.
André: I'm handling this my way.
Marlena: I see. I see. So Stefano's not involved. Are you a little afraid of incurring his wrath?
André: You know, I'd be afraid of what he might do to her if she doesn't behave.
Marlena: Let's try it.
[Cell phone chimes]
Marlena: Game over.
André: Um, I'm sorry, father. The woman is on a bender.
Marlena: Look, I know that you hate Samantha. Please remember, she is the mother of your grandchildren.
Stefano: What the hell is this?
Marlena: Don't listen to that toad. He thinks Samantha took something from you. He wants to get his hands on it so he can use it to destroy you.
André: Oh, Marlena, you're not making sense.
Marlena: Stop that! You took Samantha. You kidnapped her. Look, even if she took something from you, this is not the way to handle it. You can't hurt her. I mean, you go and you change your passcodes. That's what you do. But you don't hurt Samantha. Think about her children. Think what that would do to them. Just tell André to let her go. Make André let Samantha go.
Stefano: Marlena, leave, all right? I will handle this.
Marlena: I hope you do, because if you don't, I will take matters into my own hands.
Stefano: André, will you tell me what the hell is going on?
Kayla: You have got to tell hope. She needs to know what's going on with you.
Bo: I know. I know, Kay. I know, but she can't take it right now. I mean, she's all over the map. Sometimes she's crying, you know, angry at herself, or she's angry at me and she's upset. Or sometimes she just-- I don't know--shuts down and goes inside, and god knows what's going on then. And damn it, she's having these nightmares about that freakin' monster.
Kayla: I could help you. I could--I could--
Bo: No, you can't. You're not hearing me, Kay. She can't take this news right now.
Kayla: Well, she's gonna get the news. She's gonna get it from somewhere.
Bo: I understand that, Kay. I do. But you didn't see her. She's--I don't know. She's about to implode or something. Just please, let me-- let me figure this out, and I'll handle it myself, okay?
Kayla: I'm sorry. I don't mean to be giving you a hard time. I just--
Bo: That's all right.
Kayla: I just don't want to lose you. I don't want to lose you either.
Bo: I know. I know.
Rafe: Are you sure?
Hope: Bo can't be with me. He said we could forgive and he'll always love me. Then he pulled away.
Rafe: Well, that just doesn't sound right.
Hope: Oh, I get it. I just can't stand it, though. [Sobbing]
Rafe: Now, hold on a second. Wait. Wait. Listen. Hope, there's got to be more to it. You just don't know the whole story.
Hope: He pulled away, Rafe. He--he pulled away from me.
Rafe: Okay. Okay, so maybe he did, all right? I'm sorry. Listen, like I told you before, you're not alone. You're not. You know that. Half of the town is here to hold you up, me included. You're gonna get through this. Lips appear to age faster than other skin.
Steve: Hello? Anybody here?
Bo: Come on, come on. Stop with the waterworks, you big baby.
Kayla: [Laughs] You are still such a brat.
Bo: Yup. That's me.
Kayla: I'm sorry I can't be a better big sister.
Bo: No, no, you are the best, and you're right. I do have to tell her.
Kayla: I'm sorry I've been giving you such a hard time. You know hope better than anybody. You just... [Sighs] You just tell her the way you need to.
Bo: Thanks. All right. I'm gonna go find her, all right?
Bo: I love you.
Kayla: I love you. Call me, okay?
Bo: I will.
Kayla: [Sobbing] [Screams] [Sobbing]
Hope: I don't even want to be inside.
Rafe: Well, tough. It's too damn cold for you outside. Have a seat. Would you just sit down?
John: Hey, there you are. Eric just called, said you never showed up.
Marlena: André has kidnapped Sami.
André: Ah, honestly, I don't know what that was about. I bumped into Marlena in the square, and she just went on ranting about Samantha and airplanes. I mean, it was just insane. I think what happened was that Samantha forgot to tell her mummy that she was going out of town. I mean, to think that I would kidnap Samantha? I just think it's a ploy to try to divide us. That's what I think. But don't worry, father. I'll get to the bottom of it.
Sami: That's it. That's how I'm gonna get out of here. And they will never see it coming.
