Abigail: Ahh, baby, please. No. No, no, no, no. Not yet. Please. [Groans]
Abigail: You're back.
Ben: Got myself a beer.
Abigail: Yeah, so I see. Ben, listen to me. I know that you think you can't trust me right now, but you did once before. You trusted me before, and you can again. I swear.
Ben: I think we're a long way from trust, Abigail.
Abigail: Ben, didn't I do exactly as you wanted me to when we called Chad together?
Abigail: I did!
Ben: Yeah, I don't want to talk about Chad.
Abigail: Okay, Ben, listen to me. There are other people in Salem, and they're gonna start to wonder where I am. They're gonna have questions. They're gonna wonder why I left with you so suddenly, especially my mom. So I think I should call her. I think I should call her and just tell her that I'm fine. And that, way we won't have to worry about anybody bothering us ever again.
Ben: That's a nice try, but I'm way ahead of you.
Chad: We gotta talk.
Rafe: I'm busy right now.
Chad: It can't wait. It's about Abigail Deveraux.
Rafe: Abigail...is she okay?
Chad: Well, that's--that's my question. I'm pretty sure the answer is "no."
Hope: Hey! Hello?
Ciara: What's up?
Hope: That's what I want to know. You two are in the same exact position you were in when I went upstairs. What-- Ciara, chase, come on. Look at me. You're supposed to be packing. Let's go.
Ciara: Is there some kind of rush?
Hope: Yeah, yeah, there is, actually. Jennifer's expecting us, and it was very nice of her to let us stay with her. So the least we can do is show up when we said we would. So let's go.
Chase: Fine, but she's not my family, and you guys can stop acting like you're my family.
Hope: Chase... wait.
Shawn: Dad. Dad! Are you okay? Are you with me?
Shawn: Are you with me? Can you hear me right now?
Bo: Yeah. Yeah, fine.
Shawn: What--what the hell just happened?
Bo: I just--I'm good. I'm fine.
Shawn: I don't know if you're fine.
Bo: Wha--what are you doing?
Shawn: What does it look like I'm doing? I'm calling 911.
Bo: No, no, no, no. Don't call 911.
Shawn: Are you kidding me? I am getting an ambulance.
Bo: I am fine. I am fine.
Shawn: You just passed out!
Bo: And I'm good! I'm fine. Give me that. I'm all right. I told you I would get myself checked out, and I will. All right? But that can wait. Your mom is my priority right now. She--she needs me. Okay?
Shawn: Yeah, she does need you, and I need you, and Ciara needs you, which is exactly why this can't wait.
Hope: Chase... I won't say we're family if you're not comfortable with that, okay? But what I will say is that I love you. And you're very important to me, to all of us. Hey.
Chase: [Sighs] Any connection we have is just a technicality.
Hope: What? What does that--
Chase: You guys just want me around so you guys can feel better about yourselves, like heroes or whatever for taking in the orphan. Even if some of you are scared of me, hey, I get it. You think my dad's a murderer. And given that he was crazy and homicidal obviously means I'm crazy and homicidal too, right?
Ciara: I better go pack now. And you know what? Don't you ever put words in my mouth again.
Shawn: Dad, you're killing me. You know what this is like? When you're on the airplane, right, and they tell you to bring the oxygen mask down for yourself first before you put it on your kid. It's exactly the same premise. You got to take care of yourself first before you can take care of anyone else. No? Nothing? I--okay, look, maybe it's nothing. Maybe it's just the sleep deprivation or it's a vitamin deprivation. I don't know, but why don't we just take you to the hospital? We'll get you checked out, and then we won't have to deal with this again. We'll just--we'll know.
Bo: I forgot how bossy you can be.
Shawn: You sure as hell know you always liked that about me, so... why don't you say, like, "assertive"? That's--that's way more polite, don't you think?
Bo: Hmm. "Bossy" worked when you were five. But yeah, I kind of miss this "assertiveness."
Shawn: I don't know if I miss the stubbornness. Nah, maybe I do. We always loved that about you.
Shawn: Me and--me and mom. Well, mom...yeah. And Ciara. Look, we love you so much, and we want you around for a really long time.
Bo: All right, don't worry about me. It's gonna be okay. It's gonna be okay.
Ben: What's wrong?
Abigail: Nothing, I'm just uncomfortable, Ben. [Groans]
Ben: No, you're in pain. My god, are you in labor?
Abigail: I don't know! I don't know. I started feeling this earlier, these--these cramps.
Ben: How could you not tell me that?
Abigail: I thought that they would go away. Ben, I felt something like this the other day, and it stopped, so I thought that this was the same thing, but it's not. It's getting worse. It's too early. I can't--I can't--
Ben: So what do we do? How do we make it stop?
Abigail: You can't! You can't make it stop. Ben, listen to me. You need to take me to the hospital, okay? Ben, look at me. I cannot go into labor like this. Please. Not here. Not like this. [Exhales sharply]
Ben: You're good.
Ben: I almost bought it. I was right there with you until you started talking about needing to leave here. Damn it, Abigail, I'm not stupid!
Abigail: [Cries out] [Groans] Ooh...
Rafe: I know Abigail didn't make it to the gala.
Chad: Right. Right. She told her mother that she and Ben were going to work things out.
Rafe: She say where?
Chad: No. No, which isn't like her. It's not like her to miss her cousin's wedding or the biggest event Salem has seen in years. Rafe, Rafe, look at me. All right, it's all wrong. For her and Ben just to leave at the last minute, it doesn't make a damn bit of sense.
Steve: Oh! Whoa! Man! Whoa!
Joey: What the hell, dad? I almost just brained you.
Steve: Yeah, you did. What's in this thing? It weighs a ton, man. Jeez.
Joey: You following me?
Steve: Actually, yeah, I was.
Steve: Because I was worried.
Joey: Dad, that's so not cool. That's creepy.
Steve: Not as creepy as what happened to you the other night. I won't apologize for looking out for my boy.
Kayla: So you just collapsed?
Shawn: Yeah, yeah, we were in the square, and he just passed out.
Bo: It's sleep deprivation.
Shawn: Sleep deprivation?
Bo: Yeah, from that trip that Steve and I took to get back home. It was pretty rough.
Kayla: Right, not to mention that you were held by people who drugged and tortured you.
Bo: Yeah. There is that too, but it's not my first rodeo. I've made it through worse.
Kayla: Oh, I know, tough guy. Hmm. Why don't you just let me take a look at you, make sure there's no real damage? So what are your other symptoms?
Bo: [Sighs] You know, why don't you go check on your mom? I'm obviously gonna be here for a while.
Shawn: We can both go check on mom as soon as we get your results.
Bo: Don't worry. Your aunt Kay's not gonna let me go unless I'm in perfect shape. And I'll make it through all her poking and prodding easier if I know that you're with your mom.
Shawn: Fine. I expect a full report.
Bo: Hey, hey, and it goes without saying, you're not telling her about this.
Shawn: All right.
Kayla: Okay, what didn't you want Shawn to hear?
Bo: Kay, look, there are other things going on, but like you said, it probably has to do with what I've been through.
Kayla: Oh, did you get your medical degree when you were away?
Bo: [Sighs] I've had these headaches.
Kayla: How often?
Bo: Pretty much every day, um... sometimes a couple times a day.
Kayla: Have you passed out before today?
Bo: I've been, you know, light-headed and... dizzy, but... I'm sure this has to do with what I've been through. Once the drugs are out of my system, I'll be back to normal.
Kayla: Anything else?
Bo: Yeah, my vision, uh-- sometimes things are blurry. That's it. That's it.
Kayla: Okay. Let's go. Okay, I'm just gonna run a couple tests, okay? A MRI, a cat scan. And all you have to do is change here into this gown and lay down and relax. I mean, how hard can that be?
Bo: Kay, no. Hope is going through hell right now. Every minute I'm here, I'm not there with her.
Kayla: But Shawn is there, and you need to trust your son that he can handle it, that he is perfectly capable of sitting in for you for now, okay? So you need to put this on, or I am gonna send in my two most burly orderlies to help you. And that won't be pretty.
Here! Do it!
Chase: Hope? Hope! Ciara! Ciara, quick!
Ciara: What is it?
Chase: I-I don't know!
Ciara: What happened?
Chase: I don't know!
Ciara: Mom? Mom. Mom, please say something. Mom... I'm sorry that chase and I fought. We were being selfish and stupid and just... so unfair to you. [Cries] I love you, Mom. [Sobbing]
Hope: I love you too. It's not you two. I'm sorry I-- I'm sorry I lost it. I'm sorry, chase.
Chase: No, don't be.
Hope: You really don't want to go to Jenn's, do you?
Chase: I-I just--I don't see why we have to.
Hope: Then we'll all stay here. All stay here, okay?
Rafe: Okay, I agree with you that Abigail leaving town suddenly is odd. But I can't put an APB out on odd. So if you want me to do something official, I'm gonna need more.
Chad: Okay, well, yeah, there is more, all right? It's--it's not just that she left. It's how she left.
Chad: Meaning I don't think she did it willingly.
Rafe: Okay. So what you're saying to me, then, is Ben kidnapped his pregnant fiancée? Listen, Chad, I know that you and Ben have a lot of bad blood---
Chad: No, listen, it's not what I think about Ben, all right, or the fact that he's with Abigail now. He won; I lost. I get it, okay? But just hear me out. Abigail as good as told me that she is in trouble.
Rafe: Well, why the hell didn't you lead with that? What did she say? What exactly happened--
Chad: It's what she didn't say, okay? I was on the phone with her earlier, and she just-- she didn't sound right, all right? It sounded like she was under duress, so I told her-- I said, "if you are in trouble, give me a sign." I said, "just say good-bye and hang up," and that's exactly what she did. It's holiday time, and no fruit is as versatile
Joey: So someone tries to roofie me, and you start tailing me? What are you going to do when I get to school? Sit in the back of my classes?
Steve: Yeah, if I have to. I'll do whatever it takes. Listen, I'm sorry I wasn't upfront with you until now. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on.
Joey: Like what? What, you--you think someone's trying to kill me?
Steve: No. I think they're trying to send a message to me. Shawn: Dad said to tell you he'll just be here in a little while. He had some errands to run.
Hope: All right. No problem. I'm just gonna take my suitcase back upstairs. Shawn: What? No. W-why? Why?
Ciara: We decided that we weren't gonna stay with Jennifer. Shawn: I--for--okay. I'll get--I'll get the suitcase. It's fine.
Hope: No. I got it, but thank you. Shawn: Mom, it's no problem...
Hope: I got it.
Shawn: I can take it upstairs.
Hope: Shawn Douglas?
Shawn: You sure?
Hope: I have it. Thank you, honey. [Grunts]
Ciara: I am so glad that you're here. Shawn: Yeah, what's going on?
Ciara: You see that mom's acting weird.
Ciara: I'm, like, worried about her. You should have seen her when chase and I were fighting. It's like she's getting more and more overwhelmed.
Shawn: Why were you guys fighting?
Ciara: Never mind that, okay? Where's dad? She needs him. What kind of errands is he running right now?
Shawn: He's with aunt Kayla, and he'll be here in a little while.
Ciara: That's not soon enough, man. I'm gonna text him.
Jennifer: The door was open, so I thought I would just come in. And hope told me about the change in plans, that you decided not to come stay with me.
Ciara: Kind of. Thank you for offering, though, Jenn.
Hope: Jenn. You didn't have to come.
Jennifer: I wanted to come, and I want to make all of you some lunch. What do you have in your kitchen? You don't know what you have in your kitchen. Come on.
Ciara: You see what I'm talking about? Zombie. We need dad. She won't be okay without him.
Bo: Come on, Kay. I've jumped through your hoops. Let me out of here.
Kayla: No, you are staying put until I get those results back.
Kayla: I put a rush on it.
Kayla: Look, I can't imagine all this for you-- you know, where you were and what happened when you came back.
Bo: Kate, forget about me. It's-- hope is who I'm worried about.
Kayla: Well, I'm worried about both of you. I mean, I have no doubt that the two of you will recover. You're strong. You're resilient. You know, it's more than her just thinking she should have known better about Aiden. She should have known better about you, that you would always be trying to get back to her. And how hard you were fighting all along to get back here, it just compounds the guilt.
Bo: Did she tell you this?
Kayla: She didn't have to, because she's not the only person who feels guilt about this. I, uh-- I gave up on you too.
Chad: Abigail hung up because she's in trouble, Rafe. What other reason would there be?
Rafe: Maybe she lost the connection.
Brad: She--she did not lose the connection. She ended the call so I would know something was wrong.
Brad: Will you--really? You're just gonna sit here and do nothing?
Rafe: All right, listen to me. Now, you listen. I know that there's a lot of bad blood between you and Ben.
Chad: No, would you give that a rest? It has nothing to do with me and Ben. It's about a woman who may be in danger.
Rafe: Is that right? Well, maybe you're just trying to enlist my help to break up the two of you since you were unable to do it yourself.
Chad: What the hell is wrong with you, Rafe?
Rafe: Okay, you know what, Chad? Chad, you need to calm--
Chad: Calm down? Really? Calm down? When the woman I love--stop. When the woman I love is in danger, you want me to calm down. You know what? No. If--if you won't help Abigail, I'll find a way to do it myself. "Calm down."
Jennifer: Hope. You've been through so much.
I've been through so much?
Jennifer: I could help you, yeah, if you'd just talk about it.
Jennifer: What about Bo? I think of what he's been through, how hard he worked. He fought to get back to us... only to find out that I'd moved on without him.
Jennifer: Hope, you felt that you--
Hope: No, Jenn, I should have known. I should have known that Bo would never desert us. Why'd I think I had to move on? Why? Why did I feel that way? And with Aiden? Aiden?
Jennifer: Okay, but you have to be fair to yourself. Aiden put on a good show. But for you wanting to be loved and to love someone else, there's nothing wrong with that.
Hope: But I was. I was loved. [Tearfully] I was. By Bo. He loved me. He always loved me. He never stopped.
Jennifer: There is no way that you could have known that Bo was trying to find his way back to you, no way.
Hope: It wasn't supposed to be like me to walk away. And I did. I walked away.
Jennifer: Mm-mm. What, so that means you're not worthy of Bo's love? Love doesn't work like that, especially not yours and Bo's. If there were ever such a thing as unconditional love, yours is it. You need him more than ever. And you need to heal, and you need to heal with him, and you need to heal each other. He's the answer, hope.
Bo: Kay, come on. I don't blame you or hope. I mean, hell, I was gone a long time. I mean, what choice did she have but to-- to move on? I'm the one who screwed up. And right now, it's all about my family, helping them heal, and helping my wife get through this terrible tragedy any way I can.
Kay: Ah. Ah, your results are in. I'll be right back.
Joey: What does it mean?
Steve: Well, you know that, um... over the years, I've left a trail of people who don't exactly like me, some from my time in the ISA and some from...being less than an upstanding citizen on occasion. But what you don't know is that when we were in Africa, one of those long-lost enemies started targeting me, which meant that you and your mom were in the line of fire too. I had to leave you behind to keep you from being collateral damage. It was the hardest thing I ever did, Joe. But I had to do it to protect you until I put down the threat. That's when I came home to you and your mom.
Joey: When you say you-- you put down the threat, you mean...
Steve: That person won't be coming back to hurt you. The thing is... it looks like I made the mistake of thinking that it was safe to return to you guys when it wasn't and that this threat must have involved more than one person.
Joey: I can't believe you kept this from us.
Steve: I know. I shouldn't have. I know that now.
Joey: Damn it! I spent so much time hating you for leaving. And so did mom. We could have skipped all that.
Steve: Listen. I'm really sorry, man. But I'm coming clean with you and your mom right now, because this is real, and it needs to be dealt with.
Rafe: Hey, Jennifer.
Jennifer: Come on in.
Rafe: Thank you. I hope I'm not intruding. JJ said--
Jennifer: No, not at all.
Rafe: I left you a couple messages. Just wanted you to know I was thinking about you.
Rafe: Anything I can do to help?
Hope: No. There really isn't.
Rafe: Okay. Well, how's Ciara holding up?
Hope: She's out with chase and-- I need to get some air.
Jennifer: She's been like this all day.
Rafe: Where's Bo?
Jennifer: I don't know where he is, but he needs to get back here, because she really needs him.
Kayla: Do you have my brother, Bo Brady's test results? Ah, thank you. Oh.
Elise: You okay, dr. Brady?
Kayla: Uh... yes, Elise. Thank you. I'm sorry. I'm good. Uh, dr. Michaelson. Yes, it's--it's Kayla Brady. I need a consult on Bo Brady's test results... stat.
[Door knob rattles]
Chad: [Whispering] It's okay. Okay, I'm here. Where's the key? Where's the key? It's okay. It's gonna be--it's okay. It's okay, okay?
Abigail: Chad. Chad. Wait, no! Chad! Chad!
Chad: Baby. Shh, it's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.
Jennifer: Come and sit. Do you have a few minutes?
Rafe: Yeah, actually, I do. I was hoping to talk to you anyway.
Jennifer: Yeah, okay.
Rafe: Um, just wondering how Abigail's doing. I know she left town right before the gala.
Jennifer: Yeah. Yeah, she and Ben, they left together.
Rafe: Have you heard from her? Do you know where she is?
Jennifer: Why are you asking me this?
Rafe: Well, oh, just 'cause-- just 'cause Chad showed up at the station. He was asking about her, and he seems to think that her leaving town wasn't of her own volition.
Jennifer: Uh, she and Ben, they left together, and... like I said, I talked to her a little while ago.
Rafe: Okay. So you spoke to her.
Jennifer: Um, no, but she-- she left me a text, and-- see? Right here. Okay. So she's fine. You know, they hit a little bumpy patch. They're just trying to put things back together.
Rafe: Mm-hmm. So you think that they just got caught up in what they were doing and missed hope's wedding?
Jennifer: I just think that they have a baby on the way, and they want to do everything to put their family back together, and she knew that hope would understand.
Rafe: Right. Yeah. Well, okay. Uh... listen, do me a favor and get in touch with me when you do hear from Abigail, okay?
Jennifer: Yeah, I--I will.
Joey: [Sighs] Hey, I'm glad you told me. Maybe I can help.
Steve: I appreciate the thought, son, but no, absolutely no.
Joey: Hear me out.
Joey: Hear me out. You saw how quick I was on my feet.
Joey: I almost got the drop on you. I mean, when they come back again, we can set them up.
Steve: Listen--whoa. Slow down here, man. Listen to me. I'm really happy that you have sharp instincts and you can sense danger. That's all good. But this is the big leagues, man, and I am not using you as bait. Do you hear me? Your mom even offered to help, and I'll tell you the same thing I told her. This is on me. I got this.
Joey: Fine. What happens when I leave this park? You gonna keep trailing me? Do I need to save you a seat in the cafeteria?
Steve: Maybe it's better you don't know.
Joey: For the record, I hate this.
Steve: I know you do, son. So do I. But I promise you it will be over soon. Okay?
Steve: All right. [Sighs]
Shawn: Hey, look who already got their walking papers. That--that was fast.
Bo: Yeah. You know, nothing-- nothing to it. Couple of tests. I'm good to go. I thought you were hanging with your mom.
Shawn: Yeah, no, I am. Just there's absolutely no food in that kitchen, so we went on a food run, just Ciara, chase, and I. And now they stopped off to see a movie. I think the distraction will be good for them.
Bo: Yeah. Yeah, I'm sure. Sure it would. Um... I've just been kicking around whether to go see how your mom's doing or give her the time that she asked for.
Bo: What? What do you think?
Shawn: I--you're asking me to advise you on this now, after before?
Shawn: I don't know, dad. I-- maybe it's okay that you give her a little space as long as you're ready to just jump right back in there when she's open.
Bo: Yeah, of course I am.
Shawn: Yeah, okay. So, I mean, what--what's a few days? Right? 'Cause I don't just believe this; I know that you and mom are gonna work it out, so I'm not worried. And you have your whole lifetime together, so...
Bo: Yeah, whole lifetime.
Shawn: Yeah. All right. Well, I'm--I'm gonna get back while the food's still lukewarm. [Laughs]
Bo: Good night.
Shawn: All right. I--I love you, dad.
Bo: I love you too. Later.
Chad: I lost my temper. I won't let it happen again. You're a good guy, and you believed in me, despite my DiMera ties. How do I get you to believe in me again? How do I get you to help me with Abigail? Because I am afraid that time is running out.
Abigail: Ben. Ben, I need you.
Ben: What? What is it?
Abigail: Please. It's really bad now. I need you to take me to the hospital.
Ben: Hey. I didn't buy it the first time.
Abigail: No, Ben, I'm not trying to trick you. I swear I wouldn't do that to you, not about the baby. Please. Ben, this is your child too. [Groans] Ben, help us. Please, please help us. There's something wrong. [Groans]
Kayla: Uh, you-- you had me worried when you left the hospital like that. Just--just couldn't sit still, could you?
Bo: Nope. No, I couldn't. You know, Steve is gonna laugh his ass off when he hears about this, 'cause you know what? I survived torture. I survived drugs being pumped into my system. I survived a plane crash. And here I am in this park... and my beautiful sister is about to tell me that I'm gonna die. Right?
