Provided By Suzanne

Stefano: [Chuckles] The land in Ireland will be mine soon. [Chuckles] My son has the situation with Abigail Deveraux well in hand.

Ben: You are looking at the happiest, luckiest guy on the planet.

Abigail: Ben, I really, really have to tell you something.

Chad: Hey. What's going on? Looks like you guys have something to celebrate.

Brady: Pack your bags and get your lying ass out of my house right now.

Theresa: Brady, what do you mean?

Brady: I mean that you have played me for a fool for the last time.

Victor: Xander's supposed to be on the grounds working under your direct supervision. Where the hell is he?

Xander: You lying bitch. You ruined my life.

Eric: Daniel?

Daniel: Hey, Eric. Everything okay?

Eric: Yeah, I'm just picking up some proofs I shot for pr. Hey, any chance you're free to maybe grab some lunch at the pub, you know, and talk about a couple of things?

Daniel: Is this about Serena leaving town?

Eric: For starters.

Serena: Mrs. Brady? Mrs. Brady?

Caroline: [Groaning] I-I'll be all right. I just--I'll just stay here for a little while.

Serena: You need to go to the hospital. I think you're having a stroke.

Ben: You're right. We are celebrating.

Abigail: You've been drinking.

Chad: Yes. Turns out I have some celebrating of my own today to do.

Abigail: I'm committed to Ben, and that's how it's going to stay.

Chad: No, you can't do this.

Abigail: Yes, I can, and I have.

Chad: Aren't you gonna ask me what I'm celebrating?

Ben: Why? It can't possibly top what Abigail and I--

Abigail: Ben, let's just-- let's just go, okay?

Chad: No, come on. Don't keep me in the dark. I mean, the three of us, we share and share alike, don't we?

Ben: Shut the hell up.

Abigail: Ben, stop it.

Chad: Hey, don't take it the wrong way. I just meant we don't keep any secrets.

Ben: You're right, Chad. No secrets. Abigail and I... we're getting married.

Chad: Oh.

Theresa: Brady, I'm not playing you. Who are you calling?

Brady: The hospital. I'm through talking to you. Because I know that every word that falls out of your damn mouth is a lie.

Serena: Her name is Caroline Brady, and I think that she's having a stroke. We're--we're in the park right by the edge of Horton town square. Yeah, n-- no, I'm not a medical professional. I'm just a friend, but I-I recognize the signs, and I did the stroke test. Thank you, thank you. Okay, the paramedics are on their way. Everything's gonna be okay. Okay?

Caroline: I'll just stay here a while.

Serena: Yeah.

Daniel: Uh, I'm gonna have to take a rain check on lunch, but you should know that I saw Serena. She told me she's thinking about leaving Salem ASAP. Get a fresh start.

Eric: Okay, yeah.

Daniel: I got to get this down to the lab right now, all right?

Eric: Well...

Daniel: We'll talk more later, I will call you.

Eric: I guess Nicole filled you in.

Nicole: You're not stupid enough to try and hurt me in public, are you?

Xander: You're not worth my trouble. Besides, I have an appointment to keep, so...

Nicole: Dressed like that? Oh, wait. Brady told me you're working for Victor now. Manual labor. Well, enjoy shoveling manure. Oh, and, Xander, you know what? I have to say you're losing your status and perks, not to mention your expense account couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Xander: Are you really stupid enough to think this is over?

Chad: Wow, that is big news. I don't see a ring.

Ben: [Grunts] Where were we?

Abigail: Uh...

Ben: Since you missed the part where she said yes. Thank you for being a part of our special day.

Chad: Let me buy you a drink.

Ben: It's not necessary.

Chad: I'm gonna buy you a drink, I insist.

Ben: That's not necessary.

Chad: This is my club after all. I'm gonna break open a bottle of our best champagne, and us, all of us, we're all gonna toast to your future. You both must be so happy.

Ben: Oh, of course we are. Aren't we, Abigail?

Abigail: Yes. Yeah, we are, we are.

Ben: I cannot believe how lucky I am. I met the woman of my dreams.

Chad: Mm.

Ben: Now we're gonna spend the rest of our lives together.

Chad: Mm-hmm. What are your plans? Hmm? Are you gonna take this one back to poplar bluff where she can live blissfully barefoot and pregnant for life?

Ben: No, no, no. Our lives are here. Abigail's family, her job.

Chad: Well, maybe you haven't noticed, but marriages in Salem are markedly less successful than the national average. Unless, of course, you're talking about the "till death do us part" part, in which case...

Ben: And here I was thinking you'd be happy for us.

Chad: I'm happy for the both of you. Who knows? Maybe the two of you, you know, you guys will beat the odds.

Ben: You can count on it. Hey, I thought you were gonna tell us what you were celebrating.

Theresa: How dare you talk to me that way? You know, I am the mother of your child and for that reason alone, you owe me some respect, Brady.

Brady: I don't owe you anything.

Theresa: What if our son was older and he could hear you berating me like this?

Brady: Well...

Theresa: Well, how would he react, huh?

Brady: Well, you know what, Theresa? He can't hear me, so I'm not gonna worry about it.

Theresa: Oh, yeah? Well, worry about this. Look, I can barely stand on my own two legs and you just wanna toss me out on my ass like I'm nothing but a thorn in your side?

Brady: A thorn in my side? That's putting it very mildly, actually.

Theresa: Do you think that I'm faking this? God. You have no idea how much pain I'm in right now, all right? I mean, come on. Who in their right mind would fake something like this?

Brady: No one.

Theresa: Well, go ahead. Call him. Call Dr. Lee. You know what he'll tell you? Exactly--

Brady: No, Theresa, I'm not calling Dr. Lee. I'm gonna call Daniel. Or I'm gonna call Kayla. And we're gonna get a very different story, aren't we?

Theresa: [Scoffs] You would ask two of your friends to violate their professional ethics, poking around in confidential records about my body just to-- to satisfy your paranoia?

Brady: Put a sock in it. You're the one that volunteered to get a second opinion, remember? You know what we're gonna do? We're gonna take a walk. We're going to take a walk together, and we're going to find a different doctor, and we'll see what kind of a story he or she has. And I'm going to take these for you because I'm sure as hell you don't need them. Are you coming?

Theresa: No. No, I'm not.

Brady: You know you're making this worse for yourself. I heard you and Anne. I know.

Kayla: If you can roll her on her left side, that should bring her blood pressure down a bit.

Serena: Already done. And your mom wants me to let you know, Kayla, that she's gonna be okay.

Kayla: Please tell her I know that because she's the strongest person I know. And, Serena, thank you for being there with her, keeping her calm. If she had been alone when this happened, I don't think she would have been transported to the hospital in time for the TPA.

Serena: Uh, I--I hear the sirens. We'll--we'll be there soon, okay?

[Ambulance siren blaring]

Serena: Kayla is gonna take really, really good care of you, and she wants you to know that you are the strongest woman that she knows. And that everything's gonna be fine.

Wallace: I sent your nephew downtown to get more fertilizer.

Victor: Huh. Well, keep up the good work. So how is Alexandros faring so far?

Wallace: He seems somewhat reluctant to get his hands dirty.

Victor: Well, that's funny. That was never his problem at all.

Nicole: You're not seriously threatening me?

Xander: Who, me? I think you could teach me a thing or two.

Nicole: About what?

Xander: Cheap journalism, lying, using others for your own gain. I foresee a very long and unhappy life in your future, Nicole. Unless, of course, fate puts you out of your misery first.

Daniel: Get away from her. Didn't I warn you to stay away from her?

Xander: Our paths happened to cross.

Daniel: I'll bet.

Xander: Your ego must be bigger than God. I wouldn't step one centimeter out of my way to be anywhere near you or this lovely lady.

Daniel: Then you should have no problem keeping your distance from this lovely lady.

Xander: That's right.

Daniel: Or me. Or my son.

Xander: Well, unless parker has a play date at his uncle Victor's.

Daniel: What?

Xander: Later.

Nicole: Daniel--Daniel, Daniel, Daniel. Look, there's something you need to know.

Theresa: Okay. Okay, so--so maybe... maybe I exaggerated a little bit.

Brady: It's called a lie.

Theresa: Well, that's harsh, Brady.

Brady: It's not harsh. A lie is a lie. You don't have a broken leg, do you?

Theresa: Well, my-- not exactly.

Brady: Not exactly, no, you mean not at all. Not even close.

Theresa: Can you just not yell at me?

Brady: Theresa, the only thing that's wrong with you is that you don't have an honest bone in your body. Now do me a favor. Take that stupid cast off right now. Quit wasting my time, Theresa. Take it off!

Chad: Eh, you wouldn't be interested in what I'm celebrating.

Ben: Try me.

Chad: It's a bit cerebral. Sorry, that means pertaining to the cerebrum. Anyways, it's really just a celebration of clarity. 'Cause, you know, when things become clear, it can be an incredibly powerful and liberating thing. Just like today! Just like today, when Abigail accepted your proposal and let everyone and anyone know that she loves you. You're a lucky man, Mr. Weston. Seriously, from the bottom of my heart, I am so happy for the both of you.

Ben: Thank you.

Chad: I'm gonna let you guys celebrate.

Ben: Let's have a toast with some of the DiMera champagne.

Abigail: Uh, listen, Ben. First, I know Chad kind of ruined the moment here, but I really need to--

Ben: I don't care about Chad. At all. Nothing is gonna ruin this moment for me.

Abigail: Right, um, Ben--

Ben: I remember the first time you came in here. I couldn't take my eyes off of you. I never thought for a second that someone like you would look twice at me. And now we're getting married. We haven't even discussed whether or not you want a big wedding or a small wedding, a church wedding. Does your mom know about this? Is she okay with everything? I mean, obviously my dad--

Abigail: Ben--

Ben: He adores you.

Abigail: Ben!

Ben: I'm sorry. Got a little carried away. What was it you were gonna tell me?

Abigail: I'm pregnant.

Theresa: Brady, please listen to me.

Brady: Why would I listen to you?

Theresa: Because I'm sorry. And that is the god's honest truth, look... I know what I did was wrong. Okay, but I--I--

Brady: Wow, that's--that's noble of you. You know, to admit that lying to your son's father is actually wrong. My God, what would your son think if he was old enough to understand what you tried to pull over on me?

Theresa: Actually, I... I think he'd understand. Because it was wrong but, listen, I did it for the right reasons, okay? I mean, no child should grow up without his mother, and... look, come on, Brady. I mean, you know that better than anyone. I just...no baby should grow up bouncing back and forth like--like some ping pong ball and--and you're so angry with me and I know that you don't even want to see me.

Brady: You're right about that, I don't.

Theresa: Well, listen--

Brady: I don't.

Theresa: I'm sorry, I was-- I was desperate and I--I just-- I was trying to put our son's best interests--

Brady: Excuse me, are you-- are you--are you trying to tell me that I'm not putting my son's best interests first because I won't allow you to move in with us and play house? What kind of mother uses her kid to justify her lying and her-- and her scheming? This is not about our son. And we both know it.

Roman: This seat taken?

Eric: Dad.

Roman: Ahh, eating alone?

Eric: Well, I stopped by to see grandma but apparently, I missed her. So I thought I'd fortify myself with a bowl of chowder before I see Theresa.

Roman: That's my boy. Always looking out for everybody else.

Eric: Well, you know, being a mom is a tough job. And, you know, Theresa, she can--

Roman: Theresa could use all the help she can get. Where would we be if you moved to Hawaii with--

Eric: Well, I don't think you have to worry about Serena. She might be leaving town.

Roman: How do you feel about that?

Eric: You sound like Mom.

Roman: [Chuckles] And are you avoiding the question?

Eric: No, I finally realized it doesn't matter to me what she does now. 'Cause I just don't care.

Kayla: Mom? Mom, I'm right here. We have a suspected CVA with onset approximately--

Serena: Uh, 20 minutes ago.

Kayla: The patient has a history of mi with mild vascular dementia. I need a CT without contrast, a CBC, and a PTT.

We'll take good care of her, Dr. Brady.

Kayla: I love you, Mom. What happened?

Serena: She said that she had a headache and then all of a sudden, she lost her balance and she collapsed. I mean, she said she was fine but she was slowing her words, and I know the signs of a stroke.

Kayla: Thank God you called 911.

Serena: Just so you know, she was alert and oriented, and she was way more worried about her family than anything else.

Kayla: That's my mother. I don't know what we'd do without her. But she has a far greater chance of full recovery thanks to you.

Victor: You know, I thought I caught a whiff of something unpleasant. Imagine, I thought it was the manure. Wallace tells me you're afraid to get your hands dirty. Imagine that. You know, if you want to keep your job and a roof over your head, I suggest you redouble your efforts.

Xander: My talents don't really lie in this area. But I'm a fast learner. I'll do whatever you ask to prove you can trust me again.

Victor: Well, we're a long, long way from even a glimmer of that happening.

Xander: Uncle Victor? There's one more thing you should know. On my way back from purchasing supplies, I...I ran into Daniel and Nicole.

Nicole: Victor seized all of Xander's assets and assumed his debts.

Daniel: Well, he should be in prison, where he belongs.

Nicole: Well, I guess Victor feels he can keep an eye on him while he's weed-whacking at the mansion.

Daniel: Why didn't he just ship him to Siberia?

Nicole: I don't know. You're gonna have to ask your godfather.

Daniel: Oh, I plan to.

Parker: Daddy!

Daniel: Parker!

Nicole: Oh.

Daniel: What's up? Huh? Huh? What's going on?

Nicole: Thanks, Joanna!

Daniel: Thank you, Joanna. You ready for a--what are you ready for, a picnic?

Parker: Can I go on a picnic now?

Daniel: Now, you want to do it right now?

Parker: Yeah.

[Both laughing]

Daniel: You bet. Yeah. Guess what I'm gonna get. I got a surprise.

[Opera music]

Stefano: Chad. What is wrong?

Chad: Oh, I am really not in the mood for this music. Okay, I just want to focus on blocking the merger between--

Stefano: Forget all that, all right? I mean, why the bad mood?

Chad: Look, I'm just trying to do my damn job, okay?

Stefano: Did something happen with Abigail, huh?

Ben: You're--you're pregnant?

Abigail: Yeah.

Ben: You're--you're pregnant, that--oh, my God, Abigail. That's ama--that's amazing. We're gonna have a baby. We're gonna have a baby.

Chad: Or when I took you upstairs to my bedroom where you begged--begged me to keep making love to you, over and over again. Exactly how far along are you?

Brady: This isn't about Tate at all. It's about me.

Theresa: Ugh, isn't everything?

Brady: You want to live here because you're still chasing this--this happily ever after with a man who doesn't love you. And never will.

Theresa: That's just cruel.

Brady: It's the truth, Theresa. The truth--something you only have a nodding acquaintance with, so get this through your head. We are not compatible, and it gives me a splitting headache just to be in the same room with you. So consequently, the less I see of you, the happier I'm gonna be, and the far less headaches I'm gonna have.

Eric: What is going on in here, I can hear you yelling all the way outside.

Brady: Oh, guess who faked a broken ankle so that I would take pity on her and she could continue mooching off of me.

Theresa: Off your grandfather, just like you have been for years.

Eric: All right, Brady, I understand you're angry. Come on, she's the mother of your child and, listen, you can't be at each other's throats all the time.

Brady: Good point--that's exactly why I need to stay the hell away from her. By the way, if you're taking pity on her, why don't you have her live with you?

Theresa: You know what, I'd rather live on the streets than be treated like this!

Eric: All right, Theresa. Take a breath. That means both of you.

[Cell phone rings]

Eric: Hello? I'm on my way.

Brady: What's--hold on, what's wrong?

Eric: It's my grandmother. She's at the hospital.

Xander: I was just following Wallace's orders, otherwise I wouldn't have even been there, but Daniel accused me of going out of my way to hound Nicole and I swear to you--

Victor: It is your responsibility to maintain a respectful distance from the people that I care about. If you find yourself in the same public place, you are not welcome there.

Xander: I understand that, but I was just passing through and--

Victor: Just get to work. For God sakes, try and do something right. I'm done cleaning up after you. There's another mess. Clean it up.

Nicole: I got it, I got it! Okay, you ready? Whoosh--oh! Oh, I missed. Parker, I'm sorry. I know you want to talk to Victor. Go ahead, I'll--I'll take parker home. Xander is up to his elbows in pig excrement as we speak. Not that I'm scared of him, he just caught me off guard earlier. It will never happen again.

Daniel: Hey. Daddy has to make a quick run out, all right? I'll be back. I'll be home soon. You and Nicole play some catch, okay? All right. She's a bad aunt.

Nicole: [Gasps] Hey? Bye. Okay, you ready? Let's go practice. You go over there. I'll be right here. Okay, ready? Okay. Hi, it's Nicole walker. Um, I really need to see you.

Chad: Nothing happened with Abigail. Nothing is ever gonna happen with Abigail.

Stefano: Chad--

Chad: No, listen! So you can forget about that little plot of land in Ireland that you would sell somebody's soul to own.

Abigail: I'm about eight weeks. You know, it's hard to tell exactly.

Ben: Eight weeks?

Abigail: Ben, you're... you're upset about the baby.

Ben: No, no--of course not.

Abigail: Listen, I--I know that I should have told you about this probably before I said yes to your proposal. I know that, but I just, um God, I just got caught up in the moment.

Ben: I just have to ask you one question. It--it's okay, though. It's just a question. No reason to be afraid. It's, um...as long as you tell me the truth.

Stefano: All right, start at the beginning and tell me what--

Chad: I was an idiot. After the way I treated Abigail, she told me that she had never been hurt that badly before. And I know that's true. So tell me, why in the hell would she ever trust me with her heart again?

Stefano: Look, you could only hurt her that much if she truly cared, you understand? You cannot give up so easily.

Chad: I told you--it's over!

Stefano: It is not over. It is never over if she still loves you.

Chad: Yeah? Then why the hell is she marrying Ben Weston?

Abigail: Of course I'll tell you the truth.

Ben: Do you promise?

Abigail: Yes. Why--why wouldn't I? I want you to give me your word as a DiMera that you won't say anything. And then after that, I can leave here and never worry again about Ben finding out.

Chad: Sure. Fine.

Ben: Because it would be hard to admit if you, um... did you only agree to marry me because you're pregnant?

Abigail: No. No, of course not, Ben.

Ben: How long have you known?

Abigail: Awhile.

Ben: Why didn't you tell me?

Abigail: Because, I--I just wanted to be sure, you know? I was...I was afraid that if I told you, you might feel trapped, and I didn't--I didn't want you to feel like you had to stay with me because it was the right thing to do. So when you asked me to marry you, I knew that it had nothing to do with the baby. It was because you loved me.

Ben: I do. So much. What about you?

Abigail: What about me, Ben? You know that I love you.

Ben: No, I mean about feeling trapped. Do you feel trapped with me, Abigail?

Theresa: Aunt Kayla?

Kayla: Theresa. Your grandmother is stable. We're running some tests right now but, she's resting, okay. I spoke with your mom and I've been trying to reach your father, but I haven't yet, and I will keep trying.

Theresa: She's gonna be okay, though, right?

Kayla: She's getting the best possible care. And I think she would say herself that prayer is the most powerful medicine.

Theresa: Can I see her?

Kayla: Yes, but just for a little while, okay? It's that room. And only one at a time. All right?

Eric: Aunt Kayla, what happened? Can I talk to you in the waiting room for a second?

[Knock at door]

Nicole: Hey, Roman.

Roman: Hey.

Nicole: Thanks for coming over.

Roman: Hey, parker. Uh, you said you had some new info about Xander cook.

Nicole: Yes, well, it turns out the rich and powerful Xander is now working for the Kiriakis gardening staff. We've been keeping close tabs on him but unfortunately, we don't have enough hard evidence right now to substantiate the diamond smuggling charges, but I guarantee you, the investigation is ongoing.

Nicole: Roman, the reporter in me says that all the companies and charities that Xander ran couldn't possibly be legit. Someone installed him there.

Roman: Yeah, somebody like Victor, maybe? We've had our suspicions but, again, nothing could implicate Victor at this point.

Nicole: Well, honestly, maybe that's not a bad thing.

Victor: Although it pains me to do so, I probably should take this opportunity to congratulate you on your engagement to Nicole.

Daniel: Thank you, but let's not change the subject just yet. Look, about Xander--

Victor: You'd prefer to see him behind bars, I understand. But this is the next best option. Brady didn't like the idea at first either, but I'm sure eventually the two of you will see the wisdom of my method. What?

Daniel: Look, the last thing I want to do is start throwing around unfounded accusations. But Victor, I have a feeling that whatever's going on here with you and Xander is much more complicated than you're telling us.

Abigail: No. No, I don't feel trapped, Ben. I know how lucky I am, and, listen, I know we weren't planning on having a family quite yet, but, I mean, this is what we've kind of always wanted, isn't it? You--look at me. You are going to be an amazing father. And I hope that our little boy or little girl looks just like you.

Ben: Does your mom know yet?

Abigail: No, I wanted to tell you first. But my mom and JJ are home, so I should probably get over there and tell them.

Ben: Yeah, yeah. Why don't you go ahead? Go ahead and call me when you're done and we can celebrate.

Abigail: I love you. We're having a baby.

Stefano: Oh, that foolish girl. She could not have chosen that dope over a DiMera.

Chad: But, she did. And I'm pretty sure the fact that I'm a DiMera had a lot to do with it. She made a choice not to be a part of this family. Unfortunately, that's a choice I never had.

Stefano: But Ben Weston is no match for you, for goodness' sake. Okay, we'll take care of him.

Chad: Enough!

Stefano: And I'm out.

Chad: It's over!

[Opera music]

Stefano: [Grunts] It cannot be over.

Nicole: I'm hoping Victor isn't involved in anything shady with Xander.

Roman: Why?

Nicole: Because right now, things are really good. And if Daniel and Maggie feel that Victor's betrayed them, it's just gonna make things complicated.

[Cell phone buzzes]

Roman: Brady. Yeah, the ringer was off. Sorry, what's going on? What? All right, okay, all right. My God--all right, I'll be right there, okay. Uh, emergency--I gotta go.

Nicole: Okay. Well, thank you for--for coming over, I--

Roman: Yeah, we'll talk later.

Nicole: Okay. Parker. Hey, buddy. [Squeaks] What do you say--I see you. What do you say we make something special for Grandpa Victor, huh? Have it out. 'Cause pretty soon, he's gonna be my...father-in-law. You know, we haven't exactly gotten along so well, and-- you know what, I'd really like to do something about that. Unless your daddy has other plans.

Daniel: So I'll ask again, because I know we were both very upset about Xander's attempt to murder Eric and Nicole. Is there anymore to your connection with Xander cook that you haven't told us?

Victor: I have completely washed my hands of him. I no longer consider him family.

Daniel: That's not the question I asked.

Victor: The answer is no.

Daniel: I don't believe you.

Eric: What is she doing here?

Kayla: If your grandmother makes a full recovery, which the odds are, she will, it'll be because of Serena.

Theresa: Grandma, please. Please don't leave me. I'm lost. I'm so lost. And you're the only one in my whole life who ever understood me. Who knows how I always screw everything up and--and loves me anyway. I understand why everybody else gave up on me. I gave up on me, too.
