Paige: Hey, I was wondering if that breakfast you offered was still--

Kyle: Paige, I didn't know--

JJ: What the hell are you doing here?

Paige: Are you doing here?

Victor: Well, I couldn't call you before, and I had to get out of the house. Is everything taken care of? Oh, good. Yeah, the best part is the bastard won't even know what hit him.

Xander: Hmm. Hey, remember me? We met yesterday.

Woman: Well, of course I remember you. You're kind of hard to forget.

Xander: [Laughs] I'm glad I ran into you. You know, I'd still love to take you to Greece. My uncle actually owns an island there. Excuse me, hi. Could you bring my friend a glass of champagne and whatever she'd like for breakfast?

Man: Not unless you have another credit card. This one was declined.

Xander: Hmm.

Brady: So how did this happen?

Theresa: Oh, you wont believe it.

Brady: Try me.

Eric: Hi, mom.

Marlena: Hi! What are you doing here?

Eric: Looking for you. I just wanted to talk to you.

Marlena: I'm between patients, it's a very good time. You-- you look different.

Eric: Different how?

Marlena: Well, you're smiling...

Eric: [Laughs]

Marlena: Which you haven't done for a while. It makes me think, perhaps, you're happy.

Eric: Maybe that's because I am.

Chloe: You need to calm down!

Nicole: No! Get off of me! Right--

Chloe: No, calm-- I want you to calm down!

Daniel: What the hell?! Whoa, whoa! Hey, neutral corners. Would one of you ladies like to tell me what the hell I walked in on?!

Paige: I'm here because Kyle invited me. Not that I owe you an explanation.

Kyle: Paige got here earlier than--than I expected. But I'm totally glad that you're here.

JJ: Well, don't let me spoil your party.

JJ: Catch ya later.

Paige: What do you think you're doing?

Kyle: What are you talking about?

Paige: You invited me here. You knew I'd probably come. You knew JJ was going to show up, didn't you? If that's your idea of a joke, it's not one bit funny.

Theresa: [Groans] So I went to eve's place and she was gonna help me with the whole apartment hunting thing.

Brady: Uh-huh, and then did you look for apartments?

Theresa: No, we didn't even get to the first one. Look, I was wearing these 6-inch heels and--

Brady: Oh, that's a great choice of shoe to look for apartments in.

Theresa: Look, I know. I'm sorry, okay? I'm an idiot. Anyway, I stood up, I twisted my ankle, and I mean, it hurt so bad, I thought I was gonna pass out from the pain. But I just tried to play it off 'cause, you know, I really-- I know that you want me to move out, and I really want to get a place for me and Tate. And then eve got on stuff, and, you know, eve knows best. So she ended up taking me to the ER. And it's a good thing she did, because it turns out my ankle's broken.

Brady: Broken?

Theresa: Mm-hmm. Dr. Lee, he said I can't even get one of those walking casts or that ugly boot thing for four to eight weeks, so-- [Sighs] Brady, I'm really sorry, okay? I'm just--I'm such a klutz. And I know you want me to move out and... the timing just couldn't be worse.

Brady: I guess it depends on how you look at it.

Nicole: I opened the door and there she was.

Chloe: What was I supposed to do, nothing?

Nicole: She came after me.

Chloe: If you marry her, you're crazy.

Nicole: Oh, my God...

Daniel: Hey.

Nicole: You were my friend.

Chloe: Yeah, that's why I'm here, because I know you better than anybody else.

Nicole: If you say one more word, I will call off the wedding myself.

Chloe: Oh, you really mean that, then you just guaranteed that I will never, ever shut up. After we are all inside for a while,

Kyle: Paige, I swear, I wasn't setting you up. I didn't even know that JJ was gonna come by.

Paige: You know what? I don't even care. I don't even know why I am here, so--

Kyle: Wait, stop, listen. You--you came. You showed up. It must mean you want to see me. Let me buy you some breakfast. All right, we'll talk and I'll explain everything.

Paige: What's everything?

Kyle: JJ and anything else that you want to know. I'll be an open book. Okay, come on, what do you say?

JJ: This was by his front door. Maybe it's Kyle's spare.

Rory: Dude! Why are you staring at a key?

Marlena: Did something happen between you and Serena?

Eric: Nope, no news with Serena.

Marlena: Okay, well then, what is it?

Eric: Have you ever got the feeling that just came over you that told you that everything was gonna be okay?

Marlena: Yeah, rarely, but it has.

Eric: Well, that's kinda what happened. You know, for the first time in a very long time, I feel peace.

Marlena: I can't tell you how happy that makes me.

Eric: Okay, okay, okay. All right, enough about me. I have a present for you.

Marlena: For me?

Eric: Yes, for you. I was going through some artwork, some photographs, and...

Marlena: [Gasps]

Eric: I thought you might like this.

Marlena: [Laughs] Oh, my gosh.

Eric: Yeah.

Marlena: When was that taken?

Eric: I don't know. It must have been at a family gathering. It's you and dad and john. You all look so happy.

Marlena: Yeah, we look so young too. [Laughs] Wow, thank you.

Eric: Well, it got me thinking, you know, how much work it took to keep your relationship with dad even when you were with john. That means so much to Sami and me. A lot of kids of divorce don't have that.

Marlena: A lot of kids of divorce didn't have your father.

Eric: Yeah, but it still can't be easy with someone you once loved. Mom, you're a true inspiration.

Daniel: Did you really drive from Chicago just to start something?

Chloe: No! I thought it was important.

Nicole: My old friend is sure that I'm going to ruin your life and Parker's.

Chloe: Well, I think that because it's true. So I'm not gonna just sit back and watch it happen.

Nicole: Oh, you're a fine one to talk about ruining this man's life.

Daniel: Okay. Okay, calm down. What, could you just, I don't know, take a walk or something and just cool down? I--let me talk to Chloe alone.

Nicole: Okay. I-I didn't mean what I said about calling off the wedding.

Daniel: I know.

Nicole: Okay, but don't listen to a word she says, okay? She's not making any sense.

Daniel: I will handle it. You do trust me, don't you?

Nicole: With my life.

Daniel: There you go. All right, come on. I got this.

Nicole: [Sighs]

Daniel: Yeah.

Daniel: I don't get it. I told my mom Nicole and I are getting engaged, and then I called you.

Chloe: Yeah, and I appreciate that.

Daniel: And you seemed fine with the idea. What happened?

Chloe: Well, I guess I thought I was fine with it. I must have been in shock or something because, Daniel, I'm not fine with it. Okay? Nicole is not the right person to be Parker's stepmother.

Daniel: You don't know that.

Chloe: Yes, I do know that!

Daniel: You don't know that.

Chloe: And I can't let you do that to our son.

Theresa: Brady, you think I'm doing a number on you, don't you?

Brady: If you were me, what would you think?

Theresa: I don't blame you, okay, with my track record.

Brady: Mm-hmm. You didn't want to move out in the first place, Theresa, and now you have to stay and be waited on hand and foot. What am I supposed to make of that?

Theresa: Look, would it help if I told you I have a CD that has a copy of my x-rays and the bone scans?

Brady: I would say to you that you work at a hospital and you can get an x-ray of anybody's foot.

Theresa: Well, listen, just ask eve, okay. She was there.

Brady: You want me to ask eve, the pillar of respectability?

Theresa: Fine, ask the people who were in the ER, right. They saw me, Brady. I was in agony. You know what? I deserve this. I've lied to you so many times. But listen, Brady, I promise you, every word out of my mouth right now is the truth.

Brady: Mm-hmm.

Theresa: I'm a mother now, okay? I'm the mother of your only child and... [Sighs] Brady, when I look at him, I just realize that I have to change, you know? I have to be a different kind of person now. I have to stop lying. Look, dr. Lee's number is on this CD, okay? Just call him if you don't believe me.

JJ: No, I found this key and I was--I was just thinking about doing something stupid, something crazy.

Rory: I'm in. Sounds way better than what I was about to go do.

JJ: Which was what?

Rory: [Laughs] Explain to the dean of students why I blew off all those summer school courses I was supposed to take.

JJ: What, to get your GPA up to 1 point nothing? Did you even go to class?

Rory: Why don't you just tell me what you have in mind? Getting high maybe?

JJ: You're the stoner, man, not me.

Rory: Okay, okay. I don't want you doing something you're not into anymore, man. But hey, summer's almost over. When was the last time--like, how long has it been since you had any fun?

JJ: Um... so long I can't even remember. And I have a job now and classes start next week.

Rory: Sometimes, man, I don't even recognize you. Neither did Bev.

JJ: When did you talk to her?

Rory: Right before she left town.

JJ: Well, what did she say?

Rory: [Sighs] That everything you do or don't do, like, probably that key, is all about Paige.

Kyle: Look, Paige, the important thing is if you and JJ don't want to bump into each other, it won't happen, never again.

Paige: Hey, don't worry about it. I don't care if I run into JJ. I just didn't expect to see him at your place.

Kyle: I'm sorry about that.

Paige: And even though you never want to tell me what it is you do, I'm not stupid. I totally get it. And whether it involves JJ or not, I need you to know that I am not okay with it. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I hate it, so.

Kyle: But see, that's exactly what--what I was trying to tell you this morning. That's why I invited you to my place, to tell you that I'm not cool with it either, with what I do, not at all.

Chloe: I'm sorry that you caught me in some shoving match with Nicole. She just, oh, pushes my buttons, I guess.

Daniel: Well, as I recall, you are a pretty good button pusher yourself.

Chloe: Look, I'm not here to cause any trouble. My issues here, they're all about Parker.

Daniel: Okay.

Chloe: I know I wasn't the best mother in the beginning. But I've grown up. Being a good mom to Parker, that's the most important thing in the world to me. Making sure that he feels loved and secure, that's the only thing that matters. And I won't let anything jeopardize that.

Daniel: Okay. I understand. I understand where you're coming from. I really do, but you haven't seen Nicole with Parker, and I'm telling you, she's great with him. I mean, do you think I would share a life with any woman who wasn't great with our son?

Chloe: I guess I just-- I don't understand how you can be so sure of her. Nicole always says, "this is it. This time it's gonna work." And it never does. So how do you know that she's changed? How do you know that she hasn't just reinvented herself, again?

Eric: Hey.

Nicole: Oh.

Eric: You--you look upset.

Nicole: I am. Chloe showed up. I don't know how I ever thought she was my friend. You know what? Right now she's telling Daniel that I'm bad for Parker. I love that kid, and he's starting to love me, and you know what? The one thing--the one thing I wanted most in this world was a child of my own.

Eric: I know that.

Nicole: I mean, I still have my relationship with EJ's kids. I mean, they'll be a part of my life and my heart, but I am gonna be a good stepmother to Parker.

Eric: You know this is all gonna blow over, right?

Nicole: I'm sorry.

Eric: Sorry for what?

Nicole: I'm using you as a sounding board, and that is really insensitive.

Eric: No. No, don't worry about me.

Nicole: Well, but I do, even though you've been incredibly decent about everything. So I have an idea. I'm gonna stop ranting about Chloe, and I'm gonna tell you something that I should have told you a while ago.

Eric: Okay. You know what? Let me go first. There's--there's something that I need to tell you.

Theresa: Do you want me to read the number to you?

Brady: No, I-- my calendar just popped up. I have a board meeting that I'm late for, so I gotta go.

Theresa: Hey, do you want to take the disc with you?

Brady: No, Theresa, I don't have time to look at that.

Theresa: Okay. Well, what about Tate?

Brady: Emma has him. Do you need anything?

Theresa: No, I'm fine.

Brady: Okay.

Theresa: Hey, it's me. Yeah, I got your text. But I-I can't talk long. No, it couldn't have gone better. Yeah, he totally bought it. Anne, don't worry. Look, I'll get the money to pay off dr. Lee. And if I'm lucky... [Laughs] I'll be writing a check from the Kiriakis checkbook. Bye. [Sighs]

Theresa: Hi. I thought you left for your meeting.

Brady: I got to the door and realized that they had changed the time.

Theresa: Oh, amazing. Hey, listen, I am, like, dying of thirst, and I know I'm not supposed to ask the help for anything. Could you--would you mind?

Brady: Oh, yeah. No, sure.

Brady: There you go.

Theresa: Thank you so much.

[Cell phone alert rings]

Theresa: It's my time to-- to hang out with Tate. Listen, Emma says she has to go to the store and pick up a few things for him. I guess I should get used to being on those crutches, huh?

Brady: Hold it. Hold it. [Babbles] You want me to bring the baby down to you? Would that help?

Theresa: Really?

Brady: Yeah.

Theresa: That-- that would be great. Thanks.

JJ: I don't want to talk about Paige or anything Bev said about Paige.

Rory: Yeah, sure, man.

JJ: I was actually thinking about blowing off the job today.

Rory: Oh, excellent. Well, let's go to the lake, all right? You know Marta, that really hot girl in my phys. G. Class? Well, I overheard her and her friends talking about hanging out there. And you know they got that good pot.

JJ: Well, what I was about to say was that I felt bad about cancelling on sonny.

Rory: Why?

JJ: The guy's been good to me, man. Maybe I'm--I'm just gonna go in after all. It'll help me think about my next move.

Rory: Wait, what next move?

JJ: Call ya later.

Kyle: No, I got my education on the street. I started when I was 16, but it still doesn't make it okay to do what I'm doing.

Paige: Selling drugs.

Kyle: Yeah. I could end up in jail or dead. You don't know how much I want out, Paige. I just don't know how to do it.

Paige: You'll figure it out. What?

[Laughter]

Kyle: Just sometimes I think if I had met a girl like you way back when, I'd be a better guy today, instead of a bum. But sitting here telling you all this, Paige, it almost makes it seem like-- like it could still happen.

Eric: Please.

Nicole: What is it? What do you have to tell me?

Eric: Well, Brady saw me before and guessed that I was dealing with something very big. And I confided in him about what happened.

Nicole: Brady knows.

Eric: Yes, he does, but he promised me that he would keep this between him and me. He realized that I made peace the way things worked out. He's not gonna tell anyone, so you don't have to worry, and neither am I. Daniel's never gonna find out.

Nicole: You don't have to worry about this.

Eric: Why not?

Nicole: Because I told Daniel.

Eric: About us?

Nicole: I told him everything.

Daniel: You and I ought to know better than anybody that people change. And Nicole definitely has. She's grown up, too.

Chloe: It's easy for you to say, but if Parker gets attached to her, and she breaks both your hearts--

Daniel: Okay, okay, that's not gonna happen. That's not gonna happen. Chloe, I was worried about the same thing when you told me that you and Brice were getting serious. But then I met the guy, and he is a really good guy. He's a great guy. And I could tell he was good with Parker just like Nicole is. Come on, Chloe, give me a little credit here. I wouldn't marry her if she didn't love our son. And I wish you had faith that I will do right by Parker, no matter what, now and in the future, and accept that my future is with Nicole.

Victor: Well, you showed up.

Xander: Did you think I wouldn't? Uncle Victor, all I want is to make it up to you for what I did.

Victor: I told you to leave Salem.

Xander: Yes, but I can't do that until I find a way to deal with the charges against me.

Victor: Well, if you think I'm gonna bail you out like I did the last time, you're off the deep end.

Xander: I know better than to think that. You've been very clear. I'll handle it myself. I'll do whatever it takes to get a chance to go back to my old job with you, the job that I did so well before all of this misunderstanding.

Theresa: [Laughs] Hi, little man. Hello! Hello. Hi, mommy missed you. Yeah, oh, are you hungry? I had Henderson make you up a bottle. Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Oh, sorry.

Brady: Stop, stop, don't. Don't put any weight on that ankle.

Theresa: Thanks. Don't worry, though. I'll do everything the doctor told me, okay? And I have the best reason in the whole wide world to get back on my feet as soon as possible. Mm-hmm.

Brady: I couldn't agree more.

Xander: I know you cut off my credit cards, but like I told you--

Victor: That's not all I did. Check your bank balance.

Xander: My corporate account is showing zero balance.

Victor: Don't bother checking the other accounts, not even the ones that you thought I didn't know about. And the laundering corporation and the false charities, you're not gonna be getting any money out of those either. They're being run now by people who know the meaning of the word "loyalty."

Xander: You can't do this.

Victor: Oh, I've already done it. I let you live. Did you think there wouldn't be a price to pay? Or are you dissatisfied with my generosity?

Xander: No.

Victor: No what?

Xander: No, sir.

Theresa: Oh, my goodness. Is that a smile I see?

Brady: Is that a smile?

Theresa: Is it?

Brady: Sorta.

Theresa: Yeah. Sorta. Oh, I love it when he smiles.

Brady: He's doing it all the time now.

Theresa: I know.

Brady: You know, this morning I actually had him on the floor, and he sat up all by himself.

Theresa: Really?

Brady: Yeah, all by himself.

Theresa: You did? Oh, my gosh, that's amazing! You're so amazing. Oh, oh, oh, oh.

Brady: Actually, I took-- I took a picture, look.

Theresa: Did you?

Brady: Look, look. See, look, that's him.

Theresa: Oh!

Brady: That's by himself. He's hunched over a little bit, but it's all him.

Theresa: That's great!

Brady: I think I'm driving everyone at work crazy, too. 'Cause I mean, I took like-- look, I took, like, 300 videos and 400 pictures. And everyone's being polite, but they're--I'm sure they're sick of seeing all these pictures.

Theresa: What?! Of our beautiful boy? Then they are crazy. They are crazy, 'cause you're the cutest little boy ever.

Brady: Hey.

Theresa: Just keep taking those photos, okay, and I'll take all the ones I'm taking and--and if no one wants to look at them, then you and me can look at them together. Okay, okay.

Brady: Hi. It's okay.

Theresa: Come here.

Brady: Hi.

Theresa: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Brady: What's wrong? [Laughs]

Theresa: [Laughs]

Daniel: Chloe, I love Nicole. I trust her. And I promise you, she is gonna be the best stepmother to Parker.

Parker: Mommy!

Chloe: Hi! Ooh!

Daniel: What's up?! Come on, get in here, you.

Chloe: Oh, now he's all mine. Guess what, I don't have to go back to Chicago for a few days, so we can hang out right here.

Parker: Really?

Chloe: Yes, really. But first, I have to talk to daddy about one more important thing, okay?

Parker: Okay.

Nicole: I saw this whole thing spinning out of control and my ol' instincts started checking in. Some plan to keep Daniel from finding out, huh? Just like I did with you and just like I did with Daniel before. I realized I couldn't do it. I couldn't live like that anymore, and it hit me that I'd rather lose Daniel than try to keep him that way. So I just came clean.

Eric: I'm surprised Daniel hasn't punched me in the mouth.

Nicole: No. No. He saw the shape we were in and he realizes that people don't make great decisions when they're scared for their lives.

Eric: And how does that make you feel now?

Nicole: Good. Great. Besides wanting to strangle Chloe.

Eric: Well, I don't think she can change Daniel's mind about you.

Nicole: No. He forgave me. And I-I feel incredibly lucky.

[Cell phone alert rings]

Nicole: Oh, sorry. It's Daniel. I gotta go. I mean it, Eric, Daniel understands.

Kyle: Look, if--if I could stop dealing tomorrow, Paige, I would. But we both know I don't know how to do anything else.

Paige: You could learn.

Kyle: It's like my stepfather said, I'm as dumb as an ox.

Paige: No, that is not true.

Kyle: [Laughs] Did I ever tell you the time I got fired from a job as a dishwasher?

Paige: [Laughs] You're making that up.

Kyle: You have the best smile. I'm really glad you let me talk you into letting me buy you breakfast.

Paige: Me, too. Wish your skin could bounce back what it is about me. I just can't hold a regular job.

Paige: Yeah, but you're good with people. I mean, technically you're in sales.

Kyle: My product, Paige, it--it kinda sells itself.

Paige: But you know what? Maybe there is a way I could help you.

JJ: Well, what do you know. A whole stash of burn phones. Maybe the DEA can make something out of these. I can't swipe 'em, Kyle will get wise. Serial numbers.

Nicole: Where's Daniel?

Chloe: He took Parker out so that we could talk.

Nicole: About what?

Chloe: Well, Daniel said that I kinda jumped all over you before without hearing your side of things, and I think he has a point. So I'd like to hear from you why you think that you and Daniel are gonna work this time.

Nicole: Well, you're Parker's mother, you have the right to know that.

Nicole: When you showed up earlier, I think I acted like that because, well, everything you said was true. I mean, you watched me lie to EJ and blow that and lie to Daniel and blow that. And you missed watching me lie to Eric and blow that. And now you're a mother to one of the greatest kids on the planet and you just want to protect him. I get that because that's important to me now. I want to protect him, too. And I swear on my love for Daniel, who, by the way, has made me happier than I ever dreamed possible, that I will work with you to make Parker's childhood the best any kid ever had.

Chloe: As good as any kid with divorced parents. [Sighs]

Nicole: I'm gonna be the best stepmom in the world. At least the best I know how. I hope you can forgive me for the way I acted when you showed up and for being the person I used to be. And I want to convince you that I am not that person anymore. [Cries] Chloe, I-- I really wish we were friends again. I miss you. But I guess that decision is up to you.

Daniel: Hey.

Eric: Daniel, hi.

Daniel: Hi. You remember Eric, my friend?

Parker: Yeah.

Daniel: Yeah.

Eric: Hi, Parker. Listen, you guys have fun, okay. I'll see you around.

Daniel: Wait, wait, wait. Hold on a second. Please, don't go.

Theresa: Wait, did you just take that one?

Brady: Yeah, yeah, I just did. You weren't-- you didn't even notice. You see how I got the cast and the crutches framed up in the back?

Theresa: Yes. [Laughs] You know, your daddy took that so when you're older you'll see what an old klutz your old lady is. Yes, she is.

Tate: [Cries]

Brady: Oh, I have to go. I have the board meeting. I completely forgot. I'm sorry. I know, daddy's gotta go.

Theresa: I know.

Brady: All right, do you want me to take him up?

Theresa: No, no, it's okay. I can hold onto him.

Brady: Are you sure?

Theresa: Mm-hmm.

Brady: He's fussy, you sure?

Theresa: No, it's totally fine. He'll be fine. You know what? I think Emma should be back any minute. Emma should be back any minute now.

Brady: Okay. You gonna be all right with the? You're all right?

Theresa: Yeah, I'll be fine. We'll be fine.

Tate: [Crying]

Theresa: We'll be fine. Say, bye, daddy.

Brady: Bye, I love you.

Theresa: Bye, Daddy. [Laughs] Say bye-bye. Say bye-bye. Oh, I know. I know, tater tot.

Daniel: Nicole got him that new game. He loves it.

Eric: Yeah. Yeah, I ran into Nicole. She told me. She also said she told you about her and I. I hope that you--

Daniel: Okay, you know what? You don't have to explain. Anything, ever. I get it. And it's behind us.

Eric: You know, Nicole loves you. Only you.

Daniel: Well, I'm looking forward to our future. And I hope you continue to be an important part of our lives-- Parker's, Nicole's, and--and mine.

Chloe: I really miss our friendship, too. [Cries]

Nicole: You do?

Chloe: Yeah, I do. And I'm sorry I was so hard on you before.

Nicole: No. No, Chloe, don't be. I told you, I understand. Oh! [Laughs] You know what? This is great, not just for Parker's sake, but... [Sniffles] I know this might come as a surprise to you, but I don't have a lot of women friends.

Chloe: [Laughs] Believe it or not, neither do I.

Nicole: So we better hang on to what we have, right? Each other.

Chloe: Yeah. Listen, I-I wish you and Daniel all the best and all the happiness and, you know, maybe you guys can have what he and I never could, which is a long, happy life together.

Nicole: Oh.

Chloe: And I really think you will.

Nicole: Me, too. Thank you.

Marlena: Hey, hey, hey, hey.

Brady: Oh, hi. How are you doing?

Marlena: How's that baby?

Brady: Oh, he's so good. He's so good. He sat up all by himself this morning.

Marlena: No, he did not.

Brady: If you have a couple hours, I can show you all the pictures I took of him.

Marlena: No, no, I just want to see him in person, please.

Brady: Please come by. You're always welcome.

Marlena: I will come by. I-I'll come by as soon as Theresa leaves. You understand.

Brady: Oh, yeah, I do. But that might be a while, 'cause she broke her ankle.

Marlena: What?!

Brady: She broke her ankle, so she's gonna be there for a while. I'm--Marlena, I'm trying to make the best out of the situation but-- we have Tate in common and-- we actually get along very, very well when we're dealing with him. I think it's fair to say, we are both completely in love with our son.

Theresa: You are the cutest little boy in the whole wide world. Yes, you are. But to be fair, you do have two really good sets of genes in you. Yes, you do. Oh, but still, I just think you are so beautiful. And I love you so much. I just love you so much. Yeah. You know what? I love you even more because you're gonna make all mommy's dreams come true. You know what? You and me and your daddy, we are gonna be a real family. A real family, Tate. Isn't that great?

Victor: That's good. It's time.

Xander: For what?

Victor: For me to collect my pound of flesh, what else? Not that you can ever fully make up for what you did, but you gotta start sometime. Might as well be now.

[Keys rattle]

Kyle: What's wrong?

Paige: Oh, I thought I heard something.

Kyle: In here?

Paige: Yeah.
