[Cell phone ringing]

Sonny: Rafe.

Rafe: Hey, where are you? We're up next on court three.

Sonny: Uh, I'm still at the club. I'm waiting for t, but tell everyone I'll be there soon.

Rafe: Well, I'm the only one here. Will and his dad are playing too, right?

Sonny: Yeah, definitely. Wonder why they haven't shown up yet.

Paul: You saw me talking to Sonny, right? Now you're here to tell me to stay away from him? I can't keep doing this, will, especially if it isn't necessary. Look, even if Sonny was available, and I know he's not, but even if he was, I am not ready for that kind of commitment. I am not after your husband, okay?

Will: Stop right there, Paul.

Paul: Excuse me?

Will: Give me a minute.

Paul: For what?

Will: I spoke to my grandmother about you.

Kate: You know, Paul, I can be civil, but I didn't go into business to make friends.

Paul: If you spoke to your grandmother, then you and I have nothing else to say to each other.

Adrienne: [Sighs] Sonny, please, please be here. I need you. [Sighs] What are you doing here?

Lucas: Uh, well, I wasn't expecting you either.

Adrienne: I'm sorry. I'm looking for Sonny.

Lucas: Uh, he left.

Adrienne: I thought they had a sitter today?

Lucas: Well, actually, um, I pulled a quad at the gym, so I'm sitting out of the basketball game, and, uh, I offered to watch Ari. But you know what? I don't mind sharing.

Adrienne: Where is she?

Lucas: Uh, she's actually asleep right now. You, uh, want to tell me what's going on?

Kate: [Sighs] Well, you certainly missed a treat. Our spokesman is just as charming as ever, but you should know he hates the name vanquish. Justin. Is there something wrong?

Justin: Thank you, Kate, for taking the meeting. I knew you could handle it.

Kate: Well, of course I could handle it. It's just that you're the one who hired him, and I expected you to be there.

Justin: Well, it couldn't be helped.

Kate: Well, whatever it was, it better have been important.

Chad: You and I need to talk.

Ben: About?

Chad: What do you think? Abigail.

Ben: [Scoffs] What about her, Chad?

Chad: Look, I-I just need to know. Is she okay?

Hope: We'll find a way to deal with this, okay?

Abigail: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I know. I just need a... [Clears throat] I just need a little bit of time.

Hope: It's just a lot to process.

Abigail: Yeah, it is. It's just--it is. It's a lot to process, and, um, that's exactly what I need to do, you know. I need to process it before I tell Ben and everyone else.

[Knock at door]

Abigail: That's the--that's the super. We called him to unclog the sink. Um...

Hope: I'm gonna make some more tea.

Abigail: He is gonna think I am a wreck about that sink. [Giggles] Mr. Weston.

Clyde: Hey, Abigail.

Abigail: [Clears throat]

Clyde: Honey? What's wrong?

Abigail: Yeah, I-I'm fine.

Clyde: Well, you don't look fine.

Hope: It's a family thing. I'm sure you understand, Mr. Weston.

Clyde: Oh, well, of course I do. Seeing that Abigail's now living with my son, that makes us family too. So tell me, Abigail... what can I do to help?

Ben: Abigail is fine. Why wouldn't she be?

Chad: She wasn't felling well. When I came over to drop off your watch after the picnic--

Ben: And she already explained that, Chad. Don't you remember? She got dizzy from Theo spinning her around on the inner tube. It's no big deal.

Chad: Yeah, good to hear.

Sonny: T, I don't want to upset your girlfriend, but, dude, it's not like we're gambling or drag racing. We're playing a pickup game of basketball. It's gonna be, like, an hour. No, I didn't say you were whipped. I thought it real loud, though. No, I know that she's hot. Of cour-- all right, whatever. I need to find a replacement. I'll talk to you soon.

Chad: Sonny, what's up?

Sonny: What are you doing right now?

Chad: Why?

Will: I don't understand.

Paul: Well, I just spoke to your grandmother, and she made it very clear that she'd like to make my life as hard as possible.

Will: Why would she do that?

Paul: Because she hates me as much as you do, because she can. Look, I will work with her, but I--

Will: Wait. Are you talking about grandma Kate? I'm talking about Marlena.

Paul: Oh.

Will: Marlena likes you well enough. She didn't at first, but now that she knows you're john's son, it's not like she has much of a choice.

Paul: But you do, don't you? And you've made your decision very clear. So don't worry, will. I'll steer clear of you and Sonny.

Rafe: They're using local gangs? Huh. Well, that would explain why we haven't seen a bigger footprint here in town. Yeah, sure, send it to my personal email. Well, I appreciate it, Tim, yes. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Okay.

Ben: Heads up.

Rafe: Oh, hey.

Ben: You ready? We need you under the boards, buddy.

Rafe: Yeah, yeah. I'm ready.

Ben: Yeah? I can tell.

Rafe: Sorry.

Ben: [Chuckles] What's up, man?

Rafe: Nah, it's just, um-- it's some supplier stuff.

Ben: Oh.

Rafe: Okay, done. Okay, hey, I'm ready to throw elbows.

Ben: You're ready? All right! Where's everybody else.

Rafe: Uh, well, Sonny was waiting for T. Will and Lucas--they should've been here already.

Ben: All right, well, I hope they're not too late, because I got to meet Abigail later.

Rafe: Oh, yeah. Hey, how's that going, by the way? Living together, I mean.

Ben: Oh, it's a learning experience, for sure.

Rafe: [Chuckles] Yeah. Learning to nod, right?

Ben: Yeah, yeah, picking up my dirty clothes. [Laughs] It's, uh-- it's great, though, seriously.

Rafe: Well, it's nice to hear when something works. You two deserve to be happy.

Abigail: Oh, no, no, it's nothing for you to worry about. Um, but, actually, Ben isn't here.

Clyde: Yeah, I know. I just ran into him, but he said you had a little problem with your kitchen sink.

Abigail: Oh, uh, yeah, but we already called the super to fix it.

Clyde: He got a text while he was with me. The super said he can't make it today. So, if you just let me take a look, I'll get out of your hair real quick.

Abigail: Okay. Hope, please, no one can know about this.

Hope: You realize your mother would kill me if I didn't tell her.

Abigail: No, no, my mom cannot know.

Hope: Shh, shh.

Adrienne: There's nothing to tell, really.

Lucas: Come on, Adrienne, don't do that.

Adrienne: Really, it's nothing.

Lucas: I can tell that something is wrong.

Adrienne: [Sighs] It's nothing new. Nothing I wasn't expecting. [Inhales deeply] It's been coming for weeks.

Lucas: So it's Justin?

Adrienne: I did it. I signed the divorce papers and gave them to Justin this morning.

Justin: Kate. You need to focus on your job, not mine.

Kate: I am, but you're the one who insisted on hiring Paul Narita. I had my doubts for many good reasons, but you overrule them. And now... [Sighs] If he torpedoes this whole campaign because of his attitude towards the product, I don't want to feel the heat. I want to go on record.

Justin: Got it. You're on record-- a broken record, but Paul is part of mad world now, and you don't get to just refuse responsibility because he wasn't your first choice. So suck it up and find a way to make it work or...

Kate: Or... leave? [Sighs]

Justin: [Sighs]

Kate: I can handle Paul. He's talent. He's a diva, nothing that I haven't seen before. I can take care of him.

Justin: Then why are you throwing a fit?

Kate: Because of us.

Justin: Us?

Kate: Mm-hmm.

Justin: Wow. You picked the wrong day to have this discussion.

Kate: Victor, in his infinite wisdom, has set it up so that everything that I try to do needs to be okayed by you. We need to find a way to make things work.

Justin: Not now.

Kate: Yes, now.

Justin: No, I am in no mood for a fight.

Kate: Oh, well, that's perfect 'cause neither am I. So this is the perfect time to get things straightened out, and I'm not leaving this room until we do.

Justin: [Sighs]

Ben: Hey, thanks for that, man. I feel like with Abigail, anything's possible. We're just a solid little couple.

Rafe: Hey, where's t?

Sonny: Girlfriend maintenance, but I drafted a replacement.

Rafe: Okay.

Chad: You guys all right with that?

Rafe: Yeah, sounds good.

Ben: Yeah.

Rafe: Yeah, I mean, I'm always happy for a chance to knock you on your ass.

Chad: [Chuckles] Okay, bring it on.

Rafe: Okay. Lucas and will--are they coming?

Sonny: I don't know. Will went to get water, so maybe he got held up.

Rafe: Okay. You sure you're okay with him?

Ben: Yeah, why not?

Sonny: Hey, why don't we play two-on-two until will and Lucas get here?

Will: I'm here.

Sonny: Where's your dad?

Will: Uh, he's injured, so, uh, he's gonna have to sit out, but I found a replacement.

Sonny: Who?

Paul: [Chuckles]

Ben: [Scoffs]

Abigail: No one can know yet.

Hope: I know that's how you feel right now, but at some point, you've got to tell your mother and Ben.

Abigail: Yeah, I know. I will once I'm sure. I will. I just need some time.

Hope: What do you need to be sure of?

Abigail: That everything is fine. Right now I really just--I need to get in the shower so I can go to work.

Hope: Okay, all right, sweetheart. Uh, Clyde, how you doing up there?

Clyde: Well...

Hope: Almost done?

Clyde: I'm afraid that valve needs to be replaced, so I'll just go pick up another part and be right back.

Abigail: Um...

Hope: Well, why don't you text Ben and arrange that with him?

Abigail: Sorry. It's just I have to get to work, and so...

Clyde: Oh, yeah, I'm-- I didn't mean to barge in and mess up your schedule or anything.

Abigail: No, you don't have to apologize at all. I appreciate you taking the time.

Clyde: Well, how about I just leave my tools here and be back another time? You take care, Abigail. Detective Brady.

Hope: Mr. Weston.

Hope: Okay, he's gone. You can go about your day now, sweetie.

Abigail: Yeah, like that'll be easy.

Hope: Abigail... I know this is huge... but is there something else you want to tell me?

Will: You don't know that Ben is the father, do you?

Kate: So, as of an hour ago, Harrods has flipped and given us the space in their cosmetics department.

Justin: And countess w is out?

Kate: Yeah, they didn't have any papers signed. Not a lot of room on the floor.

Justin: Snooze, you lose.

Kate: Exactly.

Justin: I'm glad you're on our side, Kate. Not many people could throw their own son under the bus.

Kate: [Sighs] It's business, Justin. Lucas understands, all right? And here, this is the quarter's marketing strategy for Europe, so...

Justin: Email it to me.

Kate: Okay, will do. Do you see how easy that was? All you have to do is let me do my job.

Justin: That's what I'm counting on. And I apologize... for earlier. Uh, I had a tough morning.

Kate: You mean you and--you and Adrienne. Yeah, it's hard when a relationship is crumbling.

Justin: That's one way to put it.

Kate: Are you sure that this is what you want?

Justin: We signed the papers.

Kate: Are you sure that you and Adrienne really want it to be over? Because I'm telling you, this is not what someone looks like when they want a divorce. Maybe you and Adrienne should fight to save your marriage.

Lucas: Well, I'm sure it still hurt.

Adrienne: We have a lot of history together, you know. But... [Sighs] We both came to the same place. You know, this is what we need to do for our future... for now. And there's no going back.

Lucas: Well, if you could go back, would you?

Adrienne: [Sighs] You're damn right I would.

Chad: Yes! Pro athlete--that's our team.

Rafe: That's fine with us. I mean, we're good, right?

Ben: Yeah, let's do it.

Rafe: Yeah.

Will: We're good.

Rafe: Yeah.

Chad: Yeah, good luck. [Laughs]

Sonny: Chad doesn't pass.

Paul: Warned.

Chad: Ah, don't worry, though. If the guy can post, then he gets the ball.

Sonny: You want to explain?

Paul: It wasn't my idea. Will saw me in the square. He invited me to play.

Sonny: Seriously?

Paul: Yeah, I was surprised too.

Sonny: This is great.

Paul: Well, what do you say we get out there and eat their lunch?

Sonny: Yeah, let's do it.

Hope: It's lot to process. I mean, this is--this is huge and unexpected and... Abigail... if you're not ready, I mean, if you're considering...

Abigail: No. Hope, no. I'm not considering terminating this pregnancy. That's not it. I just... I just want to make sure I know everything there is to know. You know, I want to make sure that I know all the answers before I start dealing with other people. That's all I'm saying.

Hope: You don't have to have all the answers. We're here. Ben will help. In the meantime, I'm here for you... day or night. You know that. Come here. Come here. I love you.

Abigail: I love you too

Hope: I love you, sweetheart, a lot. We're gonna get through this.

Abigail: [Chuckles]

Hope: I promise you.

Abigail: Okay, yeah.

Hope: And I want you text me or call me later, all right?

Abigail: [Sighs] Yes, I will.

Hope: I want to know how you're doing. You promise?

Abigail: Mm-hmm, I promise.

Hopes: Oops, let me just gonna grab my jacket. All right, don't worry. Okay.

Abigail: Bye.

Hope: Love you.

Abigail: Love you, too.

Justin: And you wouldn't have any ulterior motive for me fighting for my marriage?

Kate: I want you focused on your work.

Justin: And you wouldn't be happy to see Lucas and Adrienne apart?

Kate: I try to never see Lucas and Adrienne together.

Justin: Me too.

Kate: Do you have any suggestions?

Justin: Stay out of it.

Hope: Oh, my God, you sound just like Lucas. He has this crazy idea that I'm constantly interfering.

Justin: Well...

Kate: [Sighs] You know, I strongly object to the use of the word "constantly." Yes, I do give advice, but doesn't every parent to their children?

Justin: No.

Kate: Really? You know, I don't feel that sorry for you that I'm gonna forgive that bald-faced lie. Come on, you had an ulterior motive when you brought Paul back to Salem, and then you give him a job so he'll stay in town.

Justin: I created possibility. And then I just left it alone, and whatever happens will happen.

Kate: Uh-huh. Okay, okay. Well, maybe we could create a possibility that would keep Lucas and Adrienne apart.

Justin: Wow. You are relentless.

Kate: He's my son.

Justin: I do know what that's like. But I'm sorry. I have a hard time imagining Lucas as anybody's baby boy.

Lucas: Really? Wow. Um, I-I didn't see that coming.

Adrienne: Really? Um... you mean to tell me if you could go back to when you and Sami first got together, or even the last time... if you could go back and you could make it work, wouldn't you?

Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I would. I would, just like you'd want to go back with Justin, you know. You probably feel the same way about him because you have kids together, right? And, um, you got it right. You got it right for a long time. Uh, what--what are you gonna do now?

Adrienne: [Clears throat] Justin said I could stay at the mansion for a while.

Lucas: Oh, yeah, right. Like Victor's going to go along with that?

Adrienne: Well, Victor needs Justin to work for him, so he really doesn't have a choice.

Lucas: Wow. Sounds like a good time. It's gonna be a lot of fun.

Adrienne: Yeah. No, I don't think I'm going to stay that long. [Chuckles] I know better than to push Victor too far.

Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I know that too. Well, you know, if you need someone to talk to...

Adrienne: You'll be the first call I make.

Lucas: This--this may not be the right time, but, um... [Inhales deeply] Can we do dinner... soon, please?

[Both chuckle]

Adrienne: I'd like that very much, Lucas.

Lucas: Good.

Chad: Whew!

Rafe: Hey, we're switching ends at the half.

Sonny: Ah, that won't save you.

Rafe: I think it will.

Sonny: Hey, hey, hey, don't you think you were coming down pretty hard on Chad?

Ben: I'm just playing, Sonny.

Sonny: [Sighs]

Will: Everything okay?

Sonny: I just don't know if it was a good idea to bring Chad. I didn't think about the way he and Ben go at it all the time.

Will: Abigail... could Chad be the father?

Sonny: What?

Will: Nothing.

Paul: You really caught that elbow.

Chad: Better me than you. You got to keep that face pretty for that new ad campaign.

Rafe: Hey, that's right. I heard you're doing something for mad world, huh?

Paul: Yeah, well, they're giving a bunch to charity.

Chad: Yeah, he's the new celebrity face for the men's line. What was the name again?

Paul: Vanquish.

Sonny: Whoa. Did you say vanquish?

Paul: Yeah.

Sonny: Oh, that's a really bad name. It sounds like a pain reliever.

Paul: Thank you.

Chad: Uh, no, a toilet bowl cleaner.

Paul: Yeah, bingo. But, please, take it up with my boss.

Chad: No, actually, it's fine by me if mad world keeps that name.

Will: Was that, uh-- was that my grandma Kate's idea?

Paul: Yeah, they did some sort of focus groups on it.

Will: Well, if they hired you to sell the product, why don't they just call it Narita?

Sonny: No, no, don't give him any ideas. His ego needs no help.

Sonny: Hey, I'm gonna get my towel out.

Paul: No, no, don't.

Will: Hit him again.

[Laughter continues]

Ben: How's your face?

Chad: Did you get it all out of your system?

Ben: Nah, I still got a whole lot of game left in me.

Chad: [Chuckles]

Will: Is everything okay?

Chad: Couldn't be better. I like winning. Ben, on the other hand, does not like losing.

Will: Well, who does?

Chad: He better get used to it.

Will: What's that supposed to mean?

Chad: It means we're going to mop the court with you guys again.

Will: Oh, you know, you can try.

Chad: So you invited Paul?

Will: Sure.

Chad: "Sure"? That's not the way I heard it, because...

Will: It's just a friendly game of basketball.

Chad: Like hell. You're keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.

[Shower running]

Justin: The truth is as much as I'd love to blame Lucas for what happened between me and Adrienne, it's not his fault. I was the one who was unfaithful. I was the one who was gone for months on end.

Kate: Well, for a reason. It wasn't just you alone.

Justin: We know. But the bottom line is there comes a time when you decide to either work on your marriage or punt. And I punted.

Kate: Sometimes that's the better part of valor.

Justin: You're not going to make me feel good about this.

Kate: [Chuckles] Okay. Okay, so don't feel good, all right? But you will move on.

Justin: Eventually.

Kate: Soon... because I have plans. I need you on your game.

Justin: Not to worry. I can handle business. That may be the only thing I can handle for a while, but...

Kate: Okay, then. Then let's make it worth your while. I am going to send you the files as soon as I get back to my office.

Justin: Kate.

Kate: Oh, you're going to thank me for being kind and insightful. I do have my moments.

Justin: Do me a favor?

Kate: If I can.

Justin: Look out for yourself.

Kate: [Sighs] You're talking about Clyde? Don't worry. I can take care of myself.

[Door closes]

Ben: Whew!

Rafe: Hey, come on, man. It was a good jump shot.

Ben: Yeah, not enough to win it, though.

Rafe: Well, yeah, 'cause will fell on Chad.

Ben: Rematch, soon.

Rafe: Yes, it's just good to get out of the club and move, isn't it?

Ben: Mm. What are you talking about? I feel like I'm running from the moment I walk in the club.

Rafe: Well, yeah, 'cause you are. Oh, by the way, if you want to pick up some more shifts before school starts, just let me know.

Ben: Mm, I'm good, man. Thanks. My dad's pitching in.

Rafe: Oh. I mean, if you don't want to have to owe Clyde...

Ben: Rafe, it's okay. It's different now. He's different.

Rafe: That's great.

Ben: It is great.

Rafe: How's Jordan with that?

Ben: We don't talk about dad.

Rafe: Oh.

Ben: Look, anybody who has a closed mind about him, there's no point.

Rafe: [Chuckles] Okay.

Ben: I'll see you later.

Rafe: All right, man.

Sonny: Later, Ben. Something we said?

Rafe: Oh, no, no, he's good. He's good. Sonny... will, Paul... great game, guys. See you.

Will: See you later.

Paul: Will do, boss.

Chad: Uh, bye, Rafe. It was great to see you.

Paul: Yeah, that was, uh-- that was weird.

Chad: Not really.

Paul: You want to tell me what that was about?

Sonny: It's a long story. You don't want to hear about it.

Chad: Yeah, it is.

Will: Excuse me, guys. I should probably get going. [Grunts]

Sonny: Hey, you coming back to the club?

Chad: No, no, I have to answer emails. The office thinks I'm out at meetings.

Will: Could you give me a hand with this? I got to get this stuff back to the club and...

Paul: No worries, man.

Will: Thanks.

Paul: [Chuckles]

[Shower running]

Clyde: No new messages to DiMera. Maybe you're trying to behave yourself, huh?

[Shower stops]

Lucas: [Chuckles]

Chad: [Gasps]

Lucas: Hey, boss, how you doing? Where are the guys?

Chad: You just missed Sonny and will. They went to the club with Paul.

Lucas: With Paul?

Chad: Yeah, will asked Paul to fill in for you today.

Lucas: Well, that's interesting, isn't it?

[Cell phone ringing]

Chad: Mm-hmm.

Lucas: Wait a minute. Hold on. Ooh, the office. Lucas Horton. No, no, no, man. We have an agreement. That's impossible. [Sighs] Unbelievable. No, no, no, no, I'm on it. Um, I'm on my way. Just, uh, call legal for me and see if you can get that UK distributor on the phone. Maybe they could help us out. No, man, you don't have to stall. I'll be right there. Yeah.

Chad: None of that sounded good.

Lucas: Mad world. Mad world is trying to end-run around us for that franchise with Harrods.

Chad: We have to be in--

Lucas: Don't worry about it. We have a contract. Everything's good. I just got to get on it, okay?

Chad: London closes in, what, like, 20 minutes?

Lucas: Yeah, I know, I know. Hey, you want to come to the office with me?

Chad: No, no, you can't take Ari to the meeting.

Lucas: I have to. I have no choice. I have nowhere else to take her.

[Cell phone ringing]

Will: Can you, uh--can you hold that? Hey.

Chad: Hey, listen, will, your dad has to run into the office right now, but he has Ari. So will you please tell him that it is okay to leave her with me until you can come and get her?

Will: Are you sure?

Chad: Yeah, absolutely. It'd be my pleasure.

Lucas: I was fine with it. Hey.

Will: Dad?

Lucas: Yeah, yeah, I'm really sorry about this, okay?

Will: Um, it's fine. It's not a problem. Chad's great with Ari. She loves him. I'll be there as soon as I can.

Lucas: All right. Okay, thanks, man. Okay, she's all yours. Good luck. Now, I changed her, so you're good there, and then, um, she's got her sippy cup and snacks.

Chad: We're gonna have some fun today, aren't we, Ari? Listen, call me after the meeting.

Lucas: I will. I will.

Chad: Okay, good luck.

Lucas: You call me if you need anything with her, okay?

Chad: Say bye. Bye.

Lucas: Bye, honey. I love you.

Chad: See, I thought he would never leave. Yes, you're gonna hang out with uncle Chad for a little bit today, huh?

Adrienne: Hey, will.

Will: Hi.

Adrienne: Is Sonny around?

Will: Yeah, he's in the back with Paul.

Adrienne: With Paul?

Will: Yeah. No, it's okay. We just--we played a basketball game.

Adrienne: All of you together?

Will: Yeah. Yeah, Sonny and Paul were on the same team. They squeaked by, but, uh, there will be a rematch. [Chuckles]

Adrienne: You're okay with that?

Will: I invited him to play. Look, Paul is here, and, well, he's gonna stay here, so I need to get used to that, right?

Adrienne: Right. [Sighs]

Will: Are you all right?

Adrienne: I will be. I... I need to talk to Sonny. It's important.

Will: Of course. Why don't you have a seat? And I'll go get him right now.

Adrienne: Thank you.

Will: Okay.

Paul: This was fun.

Sonny: It was. But I have to ask-- why do you think will invited you?

Paul: Honestly, I don't know. Will flagged me down in the square, and I thought he was gonna do that whole number about me staying away from you, so I just blasted him. [Chuckles] I thought he was just going to walk away, but, uh... I mean, I was a jerk.

Sonny: He's given you reason.

Paul: Not today. He was--he was really nice. He just wanted to invite me to play.

Sonny: This is good. It's, like, normal and healthy, you know.

Will: [Chuckles] Well, don't sound so surprised. I just want all of us to get along.

Sonny: So do I.

Will: Sonny, your--your mom's here. She really needs to talk to you.

Paul: It looks like I owe you an apology.

Hope: Hey.

Rafe: Thanks for meeting me.

Hope: Yeah, I'm curious to hear what your contact found out.

Rafe: Yeah, well, Tim didn't have to dig that deep. It turns out Salem was already on his radar. In fact, the bureau estimates that drug sales in Salem are up 25%.

Hope: If the FBI could help, that would be great.

Rafe: Well, listen, if the FBI could have made a case, they already would have. Besides, it's not like we don't already know the source.

Hope: Do we?

Rafe: What? Yes, we have every reason to believe that it's Clyde Weston.

Kate: I hope you are ready to eat, because I am so hungry, and then we can get a drink afterwards.

Clyde: I am so sorry, sweetheart, but I need to cancel.

Kate: Why?

Clyde: Something's come up. I need to handle it.

Kate: And it can't wait an hour?

Clyde: Well, um... it's business. I'm sure you understand that. Lord knows I've heard it more than a couple of times from you.

Kate: Okay. I know, but I was looking forward to spending some time together.

Clyde: Well, we will, just, uh, not today.

Abigail: Oh, Ben, you're gonna be late all day without this. I can just, uh--I can take a detour past the park... and I can get to the hospital a little bit late. I'm already late anyway as it is... [Sighs] Abby, come on, you should have filled this already. Ugh, God, I'm such a mess. [Sighs] Two weeks. It's just two weeks, and you'll know who the father is. You can do this. I can do this for two weeks. I have to. [Clears throat]

Will: You don't owe me an apology. I know why you reacted the way you did.

Paul: Still, it wasn't fair.

Will: [Scoffs] Forget it. It's not a big deal, really. I had a good time today.

Paul: Yeah, I did too.

Will: Listen, I know you and Derek aren't a couple, but, you know, maybe if you want, you guys should do something with Sonny and me sometime.

Paul: Yeah, I'd like that. Hey, listen, I got to get going, but we'll all get together soon.

Will: Sounds good.

Adrienne: It's gonna be okay.

Sonny: [Exhales deeply]

Paul: Hey, how's your mom?

Sonny: She's kind of shell-shocked, but weirdly all right. I don't know why I'm surprised. I saw it coming. I just thought, like... I don't know.

Paul: So your folks are...

Sonny: Yeah, they couldn't make it work. It's official. They're getting divorced.

Paul: I think your husband needs you right now.

Will: She signed the papers.

Sonny: [Sighs] I can't believe they're over.

Rafe: Look at when Clyde came to town and look at your arrest records. I figure about a month for him to get his operation up and running, another month for him to put people on the streets.

Hope: What do you really know about Ben?

Rafe: Oh, just that he despises his dad... although they do seem to have worked things out recently. Changed his last name back to Weston.

Hope: Yeah, I know. So Clyde's now actively in his life.

Rafe: Yeah, and he's been paying his way. And it seems like they have been together a lot lately. Why are you suddenly asking me about Ben?

Ben: Hey, I thought you were having lunch with my dad.

Kate: [Sighs] I was. He canceled.

Ben: Oh. Well, I'm sure he didn't want to. He must have just had something that came up.

Kate: So he said.

Ben: Kate... he's crazy about you. I'm sure he had a very good reason to bail, or else he never would have.

Kate: Let's hope so. Can I give you a piece of advice?

Ben: Sure.

Kate: Think twice before you take Abigail for granted.

Ben: I would never.

Kate: Good, because men who do usually are in for a very unpleasant surprise.

Ben: [Scoffs]

Clyde: So dr. Brady... has got you on... vitabsolute. What the hell is vitabsolute? Prenatal vitamin. Damn.

Chad: Uh-oh, Princess. We got to protect your pretty skin. Look, your dad wrote your initials on the inside-- a-g-H. Arianna grace Horton. Do you want to know where you got that middle name from?

Ari: Mm-hmm.

Chad: You got it from my little girl. I lost her.

Ari: [Babbles]

Chad: I mean, I never even really knew she was mine, but... you know, she was a really beautiful little girl, just like you.

Ari: Mm-hmm.

Chad: Yeah. Put the sunblock on, hmm?
