Aiden: I didn't say I was gonna pick up my son. How did you know that?
Clyde: Uh... are you sure you didn't mention it? I could have sworn--
Aiden: Are you keeping tabs on me? On my son?
Chad: You want something?
Ben: I know you were with Abigail.
Chad: You saw me with Abigail?
Chad: I didn't see you.
Ben: You were busy.
Marlena: She's showing no signs of wearing down, is she?
Will: No, she is not. But hey, she loves a party. Especially her own.
Marlena: A girl, a real girl. So, maybe it's a good time to bring the cake out, you think? Who else are we waiting for?
Will: Well, dad is out of town on business.
Marlena: Yeah, Justin and Adrienne-- oh, they wouldn't miss this. Hmm.
Adrienne: You're back.
Lucas: Yeah. I missed you.
Adrienne: I missed you too. I didn't think you'd make it back in time for the party.
Lucas: Well, you know, I couldn't sleep last night. Was thinking about somebody and I finished my work, and caught an early flight.
Adrienne: Gosh, you know, I almost didn't come. Given the circumstances, [Sighs] I feel like such a hypocrite, you know?
Lucas: Well, then don't be. I'm sick of keeping this a secret.
Marlena: You know what, we haven't heard from Justin or Adrienne. Let's see if I can get a hold of them, they would not miss this.
Kate: Um...yeah, they would. Under the circumstances.
Marlena: What circumstances?
Abigail: Marlena. Can you help us?
Marlena: Oh, sure. Excuse me.
Kate: Oh, come on. Like she didn't know that Adrienne and Lucas is sleeping together?
Clyde: Keeping tabs on you? Why would you even think that?
Aiden: Look, Clyde, there is no reason to track my schedule, okay, if you need to see me--
Clyde: Your secretary.
Aiden: That's right, my secretary. Call my secretary.
Clyde: I did. And when I asked her if you could work me in today, she said you only had half an hour before you had to pick up your little boy.
Clyde: [Laughs] Didn't mean to rile you there, counselor.
Aiden: No, no, I'm sorry. I'm a little over protective when it comes to my son, so...
Clyde: Well, I understand that. But why would you think you'd have to protect him from me?
Adrienne: What does that mean, exactly?
Lucas: I was just thinking maybe we should tell some people today.
Adrienne: Well, we already told some people and then that didn't turn out so well.
Lucas: Well, sonny and will are cool with it. And my mom's never gonna be cool with it, so she doesn't count. Come on.
Adrienne: Okay, but still. It's not really the right time today I think. You know, it's Ari's party and the boys have so much going on already.
Lucas: Yeah, yeah. I want the boys to have a good time.
Lucas: We don't want to make it about us.
Lucas: Come on.
Adrienne: Um, I don't think people are going to really think this is a clue.
Lucas: Right, well, I don't know, it just kind of feels natural.
Adrienne: I know. I know. How about if I go in and you just wait like a minute or two and then you come in, okay? Just for now.
Lucas: Yeah, okay.
Kate: Okay, well... I thought the whole world knew, with the way those two were carrying on?
Marlena: Absolutely not.
Kate: They way Lucas was mooning over Adrienne, she's giggling, they're like hormonal teenagers.
Sonny: Nice, Kate.
Kate: What? It's not me.
Sonny: This is Ari's birthday party. Is this really the place?
Kate: Okay, sonny, I did not think this was news.
Lucas: Hey. Did I miss all the fun?
Will: No you are, you're just in time.
Lucas: Oh yeah? Why is everyone so quiet? Grandma Kate just told everyone about you and Adrienne.
Lucas: What is wrong with you? What is the matter with you?
Kate: I am not the bad guy here. And nice try, coming in separately, but who are you kidding? If you're having an affair you're not going to be able to keep it a secret. The truth is going to come out.
Chad: So, what, you were hiding or spying on Abigail and me?
Ben: No, I didn't say that.
Chad: Well, what would you call it? Lurking in the bushes?
Ben: Man, you do not make this easy, but no, Chad, I wasn't spying, and I wasn't hiding.
Chad: Okay, so fine. You weren't hiding, you're not spying, what? You followed Abigail to me? Great. You know what, you saw what you saw. I don't care. I have nothing to hide. [Pants]
Paul: Oh, hey, Mr. Kiriakis.
Justin: Oh, please, call me Justin. It's good to see you. So, how are you settling in?
Paul: Oh, I'm doing alright, yeah, just trying to stay in shape.
Justin: Yeah, you'd think it'd be easier this time of year. But I am living on Tokyo time.
Justin: Well, I'm just in the middle of a deal with some partners in Osaka, so I'm staying up late. Actually, I could use your help if you have a few minutes.
Paul: How so?
Justin: I think something went wrong with the translation on one of my contracts. Would you mind taking a look at it?
Paul: Yeah, sure. Oh, you mean now?
Justin: Yeah, if you have time. I'm just heading home to work on it.
Paul: Yeah, no problem.
Justin: If it's any trouble, I can always call the translator.
Paul: Please, you're sonny's dad. You get free translations for life.
Sonny: Mom, I'm sorry.
Adrienne: No, I'm sorry, baby, I just didn't realize that that was gonna--
Lucas: Listen, um, this isn't the way we wanted people to find out. Okay? But we weren't hiding it. I am crazy about Adrienne. And yes, we're seeing each other. Okay? So can we just move on, and get on with the party please?
Hope: You know what, I think we are ready to blow out the candles on the cakes. Where's the birthday girl?
Aiden: It was just a reflex, Clyde, you caught me off guard, and I reacted. Didn't mean any offense.
Clyde: Well, offense taken. I know what this is all about.
Aiden: You do?
Clyde: Yeah. It's that detective you're seeing, isn't it?
All: Happy birthday
Sonny: Let's blow out the candles.
Marlena: The cake, the cake.
Adrienne: That was a great shot.
Will: Okay, look at that.
Marlena: Make a wish, make a wish.
All: Make a wish!
Will: Ready? One...two...three.
Sonny: That's my girl.
Hope: I better get this cake cut before she decides to do a face plant.
Will: Well, that would be a pretty nice picture, I think.
Hope: Ah, yes it would.
Sonny: You could clean her hair.
Will: I wouldn't mind doing that.
Ben: You're obsessed with hiding. What is that?
Chad: I'm not the one lurking in shrubbery, man.
Ben: I was walking through the park like a normal person.
Chad: Yeah, I bet. Now, okay, so you saw Abigail and me talking. What's the big deal?
Ben: There is none. I know it was about your sister. That's what I wanted to say. I'm sorry for your loss.
Chad: Like hell you are.
Make fit happen!
Adrienne: Well, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go say hi to Caroline.
Marlena: Oh, you know what, she's gone. Yeah, Kayla came by and picked her up.
Adrienne: Oh, well, I didn't see her go.
Marlena: You know what, I know this has been an awkward day for you, I think that Lucas handled that very well.
Adrienne: He did. I feel bad because he is the one who wanted to go public and I wasn't ready. And it's Ari's day.
Marlena: You know what, it's still Ari's day. It's fine.
Adrienne: Thank you.
Marlena: You bet.
Lucas: So, what's next? Do I get any warning at all?
Kate: Lucas, come on.
Lucas: No, really, really. You took my old job, you're trying to sabotage my new one, and you just publicly humiliated Adrienne.
Kate: I thought that everyone already knew, it was not my intention to ruin your life.
Lucas: Of course not. What mother would do that to her son?
Kate: Okay, seriously, it's not that upsetting.
Kate: They're already your aunt and uncle, okay. They're adults.
Sonny: Kate, can you give it a rest, please? Nobody wants to talk about my mom and Lucas.
Abigail: I had no idea what she's talking about.
Sonny: Yeah, well, I wish we all could forget. I'm sure you're glad that you have a nice, uncomplicated relationship with a great guy.
Adrienne: Listen, hope, I really wanted to tell you. No, it's okay.
Adrienne: No, I know you're close to Justin, and I know sometimes people get really uncomfortable in these situations and I don't want that.
Hope: Adrienne, really... it's okay. Believe me, I'm no one to judge. Things happen, and people understand. Eventually. Okay?
Adrienne: Okay, thank you.
Paul: So, "failure to give notice to the lucky man of bear mountain will result in forfeiture." Yeah, that's all wrong.
Justin: No kidding.
Paul: Uh, see, that's a name: Kumayama yukio. They just translated the characters literally.
Justin: Okay. The guy probably used an internet program, huh?
Paul: Yeah, he wasn't paying attention to context.
Justin: Obviously, well thank you Paul, I appreciate it.
Paul: Yeah. So this is where sonny and will got married?
Paul: I heard it was beautiful.
Justin: It was. It was.
Paul: [Sighs] It's what Sonny always wanted. A big wedding. With all his friends and family.
Justin: He had it.
Paul: It could have been me and sonny. And it was all my fault it wasn't. 'Cause I was too afraid to come out.
Will: Everyone, um, grab a glass, I'd like to make a toast. Thank you all for coming here. When I look around the room I see the hands and the hearts of everyone who's held my little girl since the day she was born. I'm so grateful to all of you for being there so that she grows up surrounded by love. It was a challenge for sonny and me, when gabby had to go away this last year and I know Arianna felt that loss. But thanks to all of you I know that she feels as much joy. Your being here, it means the world. Especially sonny. When I think about how close we came to losing you this past winter... thank god that you're here, you're healthy, with our daughter. To all of you, and to Arianna, happy birthday, sweetheart.
All: Happy birthday!
Hope: Happy birthday, Arianna. Yay!
Aiden: Hope Brady and I keep our business separate. She doesn't know anything about my clients, I don't know anything about her cases. Clyde: Oh, this isn't about a case. What I meant was that thing that happened with hope's daughter, Ciara. Kate told me that she was kidnapped by a bad cop. Held for ransom?
Aiden: A few years back, yeah.
Clyde: Wow. Well, I guess she'd be real sensitive about the kids.
Aiden: Speaking of which, I have to go.
Clyde: Okay, well, thank you for fitting me in today. You take care.
Aiden: Yeah. Just call the office when you want to sign those trusts.
Clyde: You bet.
Hope: Thank you.
Sonny: You're welcome.
Hope: Will's toast was beautiful.
Sonny: Yeah, he has a way with words.
Rafe: Yeah, yeah. He was right about last winter though, wasn't he?
Sonny: Yeah, I got super lucky. The doctor said it would take like six months to fully heal, and it's only been four, and I'm feeling pretty good.
Will: Sonny. My mom would like a picture of us with Ari. Excuse us.
Hope: Of course.
Hope: What was that?
Hope: Bull. You just did the math, didn't you? Sonny was stabbed last February, just about the time Victor backed you off of Clyde.
Rafe: Come on, it's my niece's birthday party. Can we just have a good time right now?
Hope: Just tell me the timing and I'll let it go.
Rafe: Victor told me to back off more than once. Like I told you, when I told him about Clyde's trucking company.
Rafe: And a few days after sonny was stabbed, and Victor rolled over, and you ordered me off.
Hope: So maybe he really was scared of Clyde.
Rafe: Victor Kiriakis?
Hope: Come on, you don't think this was a big coincidence, do you? Really?
Will: Grandma. When you get a chance, check your email, I sent you a link to the article on Clyde.
Kate: Oh, it's out?
Will: No, it's an advance, so don't show it to anybody or I'll get in trouble. But I think it turned out pretty well.
Kate: Oh, I've got it. Thanks, honey.
Will: For what?
Kate: For being so nice to me when everyone else is treating me like a pariah for just telling the truth.
Will: Grandma, I get it. I tell the truth for a living.
Ben: Look. I have a sister that I love very much. And if anything ever happened to her, I don't know what I'd do.
Chad: Oh, okay. Well, you know what you wouldn't want--fake sympathy from a guy just trying to keep tabs on his girlfriend.
Ben: I wasn't keep-- I needed to see Abigail, so I went looking for her. We had a disagreement. And I wanted to clear that up.
Chad: You're scared to leave her alone with me.
Ben: No. Chad, I'm not threatened by you. I mean it. I know there's nothing going on between you and Abigail.
Chad: Yeah, what's going on with this vein popping over there? Deep breaths, Ben.
Brandon thinks Hellmann's
Justin: I know now that sonny proposed to you, but I didn't know it at the time.
Paul: Yeah, I was an idiot. I said I was afraid for my career. And I was. But mostly I was afraid of what my mother and my grandfather would think. But when I finally came out, they were great.
Justin: Sometimes parents can surprise you.
Paul: You didn't. Sonny always knew that you guys would support him. He never doubted that you guys would accept him for who he is.
Justin: We only wanted him to be happy. Secure in who he was. Which is what we want for all of our kids.
Paul: You never freaked out at the idea that he was gay?
Justin: No. But we were worried at first. About what kind of relationships he would find. But we soon realized that gay relationships, straight ones, the challenges are all the same. Sonny's facing the same issues his mother and I are.
Rafe: Come here, come here. Come to uncle Rafe. Oh, my goodness. How lucky am I? Hmm? I get to see the birthday girl tomorrow, too, don't I?
Sonny: Oh, that's right. You're taking her to see Gabi.
Rafe: I sure am. Well, I figured I'd come by around eight?
Will: Actually, Rafe, I promised Gabi that we would take her over there today, right after the party.
Sonny: Oh, wow, that's news to me.
Will: Oh, maybe I shouldn't have promised you too, I just know that Gabi wanted to see us all today.
Rafe: Well, why don't you guys figure it out then you let me know, okay? But I am more than happy to take her tomorrow if you don't mind her going.
Will: Thanks, Rafe.
Sonny: Gabi really want us all to come up there today?
Will: I think she was assuming that we all would, yeah.
Sonny: You did that on purpose.
Will: On purpose?
Will: I'm sorry is there something sinister in making a plan for a little girl to see her mother on her birthday?
Sonny: You know what I mean, will.
Will: You know what, forget about it, you don't have to go if you don't want to go.
Sonny: No, I want to go. I'm gonna go. Not gonna bail on Ari, or Gabi. [Mumbles]
Hope: Uh, sure, I'll ask 'em. I'll see you soon, I love you, honey.
Hope: Hey, Ciara says she needs that thing today. And you know what she means.
Rafe: Oh yeah, the thing.
Hope: Should I be scared?
Hope: What? Are you gonna tell me or what?
Rafe: I don't know, are you gonna back off the Clyde/Victor thing?
Hope: You don't want me to do that.
Rafe: Well, I don't want you to get in trouble with the brass, either.
Hope: Rafe, two days after sonny was stabbed, Victor calls you off of Clyde.
Rafe: Yeah, well, it wasn't the first time.
Hope: But it was different. You said it was. If we can get Clyde for attempted murder--
Rafe: Then he'd be an idiot. Which he is not. We don't know that he is connected to any of this.
Hope: Well, I'm sure that he hired it out, but listen, I need to get to the bottom of this. Aiden's working for Clyde. And if he's as dangerous as we think he is, then I don't want him anywhere near Aiden or chase.
Kate: I know it's your favorite.
Lucas: I already had one.
Kate: No matter what happens, you're still my son.
Lucas: Why does that always sound like a threat?
Kate: I love you.
Lucas: You love me? Really? Wow, that's really sad, you know what, mom? We're over. I don't want anything to do with you. Leave me alone. Stop talking to me.
Adrienne: Bet that was fun.
Lucas: Well, it's a lot easier than it looks. Truly. Listen, I'm really sorry the way everything came out today.
Adrienne: So not your fault.
Lucas: I'm not sorry it's out there.
Adrienne: Neither am I.
Lucas: Although, uh...
Adrienne: Damage control?
Lucas: Yeah, I guess, some people we need to warn?
Adrienne: Yes, I think we need to do that.
Lucas: Well then brace yourself for our first PDA.
Adrienne: What? Oh. [Sighs]
Clyde: Your toddler party about done?
Kate: It is so done. I was just looking for an excuse to leave.
Clyde: So I'm an excuse, huh?
Kate: Don't pout. You're a good one. Why don't you meet me at Brady pub in ten minutes. Because I have a surprise for you.
Ben: Hey. Is the party over?
Abigail: Um, almost. Did you get my text? I texted you.
Ben: Um...oh it's here. I didn't see it yet, sorry. I was talking to Chad.
Chad: Yeah, Ben seems to think there's something going on between you and me.
Real cheese people
Ben: That's not true. I know there's nothing going on. I was actually trying to tell Chad that I was sorry about his sister, but he doesn't believe me.
Abigail: It's true, Ben was really upset when he found out about it.
Chad: Oh, okay, well, I'm so sorry I was skeptical about your sincerity, Ben.
Ben: I understand why you would be.
Abigail: I have to go home.
Ben: Yeah, let's go.
Chad: See you later.
Clyde: Hey. You sound a little down on the phone.
Kate: Well, not anymore. Get out your tablet.
Clyde: Why, did you send me something?
Kate: An advance on the article that will wrote about you.
Aiden: Hey, Joel.
Joel: Hey, Aiden, we're on the second diamond.
Aiden: Oh, great, thank you very much. Here you go, champ. Oiled up, ready to go for pitching practice.
Aiden: All right. Have some fun, all righty? Have fun.
Rafe: Hey, Aiden.
Rafe: How's it going?
Aiden: Hey, you here for baseball?
Rafe: [Laughs] No, actually, I brought this for Ciara, something she begged me for. And I heard hope say that she was meeting you here.
Aiden: Okay, well, if you want to leave it with me, you can.
Rafe: Yeah, yeah sure.
Aiden: Dare I ask?
Rafe: Mm. It's a small umpire's mask, actually. You gotta check it out, it was left over from the pal team when I was on the force. No, I'm telling you, it's like the only small-sized regulation pee-wee mask left in Salem.
Aiden: Whoa, hold on. She's not--she can't.
Rafe: Oh, she is.
Rafe: Yeah, yeah. She got the umpire to train her. She knows the hand signals.
Aiden: [Laughs] Takes after her momma. That girl is so in charge.
Rafe: Yup, yup. Yeah, maybe there's something else I can ask you while we're here.
Aiden: Oh, yeah sure.
Rafe: Yeah, it's about Clyde Weston.
Clyde: Well, this came out okay.
Kate: I think it's just right. Enough flaws that you don't seem perfect, makes it believable.
Clyde: Yeah, and doesn't give Stefano DiMera much to work with does it?
Kate: Oh, please, he is not in a position to talk. No bad thing that you have done could compare to the evil he's wrought in this town.
Clyde: Yeah. So how was the party?
Kate: Kind of itchy. I accidentally outed Adrienne and Lucas.
Clyde: Sweetheart, you don't do anything accidentally.
Kate: [Laughs] No, seriously. It was totally unintentional. I was having this private conversation with hope--
Clyde: Hope Brady was there?
Lucas: Thank you. We should recapture that business by the end of the quarter.
Chad: Yeah? Please tell me it's coming out of mad world's market share.
Lucas: Almost entirely. [Laughs]
Chad: Oh, look at that grin.
Lucas: Ha-ha. I'm not going to lie, it feels good to kick my mother's butt.
Chad: Good for you, man. Keep it up.
Lucas: I will. I mean, I'm here 100%, you know that, right?
Chad: Uh-huh. Okay, why does it feel like an anvil's about to drop?
Lucas: No, no, nothing like that. Um, but on a personal front, I think you should know that uh, I am seeing Adrienne Kiriakis.
Justin: I'm sorry. That was indiscreet.
Paul: No, no, no. No problem. You guys are good parents to sonny. That's important.
Justin: Thanks for saying that. How about you?
Paul: Excuse me?
Justin: Well, you said your mother and grandfather have been supportive.
Justin: And now you've found your father.
Paul: Yeah, but that's still real new. We're still getting to know each other.
Justin: John's a good man.
Paul: So are you, sir.
Justin: Sir, see that's almost as bad as Mr. Kiriakis.
Paul: I'm sorry, Justin.
Justin: Hurts your face to say it, doesn't it?
Paul: [Laughs] Yeah, I can hear my mother saying "show respect."
Justin: You have. You have.
Paul: Thank you. I'm, uh, I'm sorry I didn't get to know you before. When sonny and I were together.
Paul: That's on me too.
Justin: We're all still here.
Justin: Hey, Paul. It was a beautiful wedding. But that's the easy part. Getting the marriage right-- that's another thing entirely.
Abigail: ...Ari looked so cute, and everything was-- you didn't have to walk me all the way home.
Ben: I wanted to. What's going on?
Justin: Got your text.
Adrienne: Thanks for coming.
Justin: I was here.
Adrienne: Then thanks for staying.
Justin: But you said you wanted to speak me, of course I stayed.
Adrienne: Oh, it's not... uh, Justin, I came to warn you. Because of Kate Robert's big mouth, everyone knows about us now. And...Lucas.
Justin: Oh. It was bound to come out.
Adrienne: No, not bound. And certainly not like that.
Justin: Adrienne, you're a lot more upset than I'd expect.
Lucas: I mean, you know, there really is no conflict for the business. Adrienne has nothing to do with the Kiriakis business anymore. Especially now.
Chad: So, is this gonna get messy?
Lucas: Uh, no, no. I don't think so. But we are together.
Chad: Well, thanks for telling me.
Lucas: Yeah, no problem. My mother pretty much told the whole freaking world so I kind of owed you the courtesy.
Chad: Yeah, but uh, no mess.
Lucas: No, no, no mess. I mean, we care about each other a lot. It's really hard to hide that kind of thing, you know?
Abigail: Nothing, nothing's going on.
Ben: Then what? We are alone now, I missed you.
Abigail: I missed you too.
Ben: I was kind of hoping you'd be there when I got home last night.
Abigail: I know, sorry, I was...I was so exhausted last night.
Kate: Hope is will and Lucas's cousin. I know, this town is just a little bit incestuous.
Clyde: A little?
Kate: [Chuckles] Well, you won't have to worry though, I'm now the town pariah so you won't have to be sorting through family trees.
Clyde: So no dinner with hope and Aiden, huh?
Kate: I doubt it.
Clyde: Me too, he said they don't mix business and personal.
Kate: Oh, really? Hope certainly does. She overheard me talking on the phone to will and she asked me why he was in poplar bluff. I think that's pretty personal. Actually, I don't think it's the best idea to have hope's lover as your lawyer.
Clyde: Oh, no, it's definitely the best idea. He's just who I need.
Kate: Okay. Well, I have to get back to the office. Read through this article, I think you're gonna be very happy.
Kate: Bye, baby.
Clyde: Stan. I need you to find out what detective hope Brady is up to. Do it now. I want answers by the end of the day.
Aiden: So this is you asking me about Clyde Weston?
Rafe: Yeah, yeah, listen. Believe me. Hope would not want me to say a word. I've just got the feeling that she's gonna end up getting herself into hot water.
Aiden: Over Clyde?
Rafe: Mm. Over your relationship with Clyde.
Aiden: He's a client.
Rafe: No, I get that. I get that. You know, I'm sure you often have to represent criminals.
Aiden: He hasn't been charged with any crime, so what is your point, Rafe?
Rafe: [Scoffs] It's just you've been doing this for a long time, so you probably get a certain feeling about some people and uh, well, if you haven't let me warn you.
Aiden: Okay, officer, excuse me, ex-officer, it's none of your business. It's none of hope's business. You two, you need to back off.
Will: Come on.
Will: Oh, we were going to see your mommy later today. Will you get the gift that Gabi got for Ari.
Sonny: Yeah, was it at the club? Thought you left it in the car.
Will: No, I brought it in with everything else.
Sonny: Okay, well, I'm going to go back, you just get her in the car.
Sonny: All right?
Will: Okay. Hi.
Paul: Hi. Happy birthday, Ari.
Will: Yeah, you hear that, sweetie? This is the man who's trying to destroy your family. To feel this special...
Lucas: Check that out. I'm not boring you, am I?
Chad: No, no, no. She's beautiful.
Lucas: Yeah, yeah. Ari loves Abigail. You know, it's nice to see Abigail so happy.
Chad: Is she?
Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I think she is. I think Ben's good for her. I mean, I know you don't like the guy, it's just uh, you know, he's pretty cool. He's not bad.
Chad: Yeah, um, all right, I have some calls to make.
Lucas: Right. Yeah. I'll email you from the trip.
Abigail: Yeah, I'm sorry. I uh, worked all day and then well, I did overtime...
Ben: Hey, it's okay. I'm not trying to make you feel guilty. I love that you've been spending so much time at my place. I love you.
Abigail: Uh, Ben, can we--
Abigail: That's JJ, and, you know, he's still pretty messed up, so I think, um, maybe we need some time. Is it okay if we, we catch up later?
Ben: Sure. Yeah.
Ben: I'll see you soon?
Abigail: Yes. Bye. [Exhales]
Rafe: I'm sorry. I was just trying to warn him, I didn't mean to stir up anything between the two of you.
Hope: No, it's fine. You know what, I stirred it up. I did it. I'll handle it.
Rafe: You sure?
Rafe: All right. I'll give this to Ciara.
Hope: Thanks. Yeah, it's me. I need to see you right away.
Adrienne: It's upsetting, Justin. I mean, it's messy, and it's... ugly and no one comes out looking good.
Justin: The only person who should be looking bad is me. I put it all in motion.
Adrienne: Thank you.
Adrienne: That's the first time you've admitted it.
Justin: Well, it's the truth. The ugly truth, as you put it.
Adrienne: I don't know what to say.
Justin: I'm here, Adrienne. I mean... I'm home.
Adrienne: By your choice?
Justin: I don't want to give up on us. But I also don't want to fight all the time, either. So, I'm here now. So, what happens next is more about what you want. Thanks for the heads up.
Paul: That's not me.
Will: Really? You're not looking for some other way to just run into my husband? Come on, here sweetie, here. There you go. Were taking her to see her mother today.
Paul: That's nice.
Will: This is our life. We don't need any more distractions or intrusions.
Paul: You go have fun with your mommy, okay?
Will: Look who I just ran into. He's wishing Ari a happy birthday.
Paul: You guys, uh, you guys have a good day.
Clyde: What's wrong, son?
