Episode #12550 ~ Will talks to Tori; Sonny & Paul run into each other; Justin & Adrienne argue; Brady defends himself.

Provided By Suzanne

Adrienne: Hey, Sonny. Um, I just spoke to T. He took care of that payroll issue, but listen, um, honey... I know you need some time alone right now, but I'd really much rather speak to you than your voice mail. So, when you get a chance, could you please just give me a call? Okay, sweetheart? Bye.

Justin: Hello. I was hoping that, uh, we might have a chance to talk.

Adrienne: A quick chat before you dash off to Dubai... and back to Elsa?

Will: No. No, I can't do that interview. I-- I'm only doing nationals right now. Besides, I'm gonna be tied up doing the follow-up to the Paul Narita article. [Laughing] Yeah. Yeah, except this one is gonna knock that one out of the box. We'll talk. Ciao.

Lucas: So you're only doing articles that go national now?

Will: Why not? My contract with Sonix says that I can take offers from other magazines. I'm getting, like, one a day.

Lucas: Exactly how does that help you in your marriage?

Will: Dad, it's two different things.

Lucas: Whoa, whoa, wait a minute, man. What is going on with you, Sonny, and Paul?

Tori: Paul, are you ready?

Paul: I'm pretty much packed up, yeah.

Tori: Good. I'll be there in a few minutes.

Paul: I'll see you then.

[Knock at door]

John: Hey, got your message.

Paul: Hey, come on in.

John: Oh, thanks. Whoa. What's up? Going somewhere?

Paul: Yeah, I'm afraid so.

Brady: I can't even believe you'd ask me that.

Daniel: It's a standard question that we ask everybody.

Brady: All right, well, no. No, I did not use any drugs.

Daniel: Then what happened?

Brady: I don't know. But I do know that I didn't take anything.

[Cell phone ringing]

Daniel: Okay. Well, they have preliminary results on your blood work. Sit tight.

Brady: I swear-- I'm--I'm not lying.

Melanie: I believe you. Promise.

Brady: I don't--I don't know how this could have happened.

Melanie: Theresa.

Brady: What do you mean?

Theresa: Well, you stick around, he's gonna have to start using again just to escape the reality of life with you.

[Knock at door]

Maggie: Daniel, what happened to Brady? I got your message. You said he was admitted. Is that A... is that a tox screen you're looking at? Was it Brady's? Daniel? Did he have a slip?

Brady: What are you talking about? What--what about Theresa?

Theresa: Wait. What the hell are you doing, Clint?

Daniel: Brady has been admitted, but he is okay, mom. And since you're his sponsor, I thought--well, I thought I should contact you.

Maggie: Was it drugs, alcohol?

Brady: Well, it's--it's a little more complicated than that.

Maggie: I don't understand. What happened?

Daniel: Well, I can't talk about his condition unless he gets permission, but... you should go visit him.

Maggie: Well, I will. Absolutely.

Daniel: Okay.

Maggie: Okay, let's go, right now.

[Monitor beeping]

Brady: Hey, Mel, Mel, I'm-- I'm having a hard time understanding. Why did you keep bringing up Theresa? I know you hate her. You can't stand her, but... did she say something?

Maria: Mr. Black, how are you feeling? Oh, hi, Melanie.

Melanie: Hey, Maria. You need to take his vitals?

Maria: Yeah, final report before I go off duty.

Melanie: Got ya, okay. Um... you let Maria do her thing, okay? And I'll be back. I have to run an errand...

Brady: What are you--

Melanie: Really fast.

Brady: Melanie, what errand--

Melanie: Don't worry about it. It's okay. What have you done, Theresa?

Clint: Relax, baby. I was just reaching for...

Theresa: [Chuckles]

Clint: This. I should suit up, right? Unless you want to be some baby's mom.

Theresa: Me? Oh, no. God, no way. Oh, my god. I don't want to be anybody's mother, no.

Will: I-- I haven't been able to talk to Sonny, but Paul's mom promised to get Paul out of Salem. Now, if he's not already gone, he will be by the time Sonny gets home.

Lucas: Okay. If you say so. So what happened with the phone call? What's up with that? I mean, what are you doing now, writing a follow-up piece?

Will: Well... I'm doing research.

Lucas: I thought the plan was to get Paul out of town so you could work on your marriage.

Will: It was. Is. But, dad, ever since we found this photo of Paul's mother and you helped me--

[Knock at door]

Will: Dad, you can't say anything about this, okay? This could be huge.

Lucas: [Sighs] Fine, not a word.

Roman: Hey. Hey, Lucas.

Lucas: Hey, Roman, how you doing?

Roman: Will, I got your, uh, text. Will, what do you need?

Paul: Well, john, the reason I needed to see you is 'cause, um... well, as it turns out, I'm gonna be heading back to san Francisco sooner than I thought.

John: Oh. Sorry to hear that. But you'll be back in time for the little league charity event, right? Oh, let me--let me show you some of these flyers I had made up here. You know, so far, we've had a hell of a response based on the fact that you're gonna be there.

Paul: I see.

John: You know, we--we were figuring that with your help, we're probably gonna raise a record amount for the charity, and not all the money is just gonna go to little league. I mean, it's gonna support some programs these kids ordinarily wouldn't have access to, so... is there anything that I can do to persuade you to postpone your trip for a couple of days, you know, for the kids' sake?

Justin: I need to finish up the deal in Dubai. Months of work--

Adrienne: I can't believe that's all you packed. Of course, you had no intention of staying, did you?

Justin: I was panicked after you called. I caught the first plane out to be with you and Sonny. He was stabbed. I-I--

Adrienne: It was horrible, Justin. And it was terrifying, and it was only half of what Sonny was going through, but you never even--

Justin: Adrienne, what else was Sonny going through?

Will: Back then, all of the property around the lake was owned by the DiMeras?

Roman: Yes, and Stefano kept it very private--armed guards, whole bit.

Will: So no one could be there unless they were connected to the DiMeras.

Roman: Exactly. Will, what's this all about?

Will: Um, I'm doing some research for a new article--the history of Salem, kind of a who was who when, that kind of a thing. Do you remember who was living in the DiMera mansion back then?

Roman: Well, let me think. Stefano, of course, uh... Kristen... and, uh... peter.

[Cell phone ringing]

Roman: Oh, I got to be in judge Manheim's chambers in two minutes. Sorry about that, will. Take care, Lucas.

Lucas: Yeah, you too.

Will: Thank you, grandpa. If I have any more questions, I'll give you a call.

Roman: Okay, you do that. All right.

Will: See you.

[Door closes]

Will: What?

Lucas: What do you mean "what"? Don't you think it's time for you to come clean?

Paul: I know this is for a good cause.

John: Paul, let me tell you. This could be the best summer some of these kids have ever had, thanks to you. You would make this event the hottest ticket in town--no lie.

Paul: [Chuckles] Right, well, uh... I mean, I guess I could stick around a few more days.

John: Fantastic! Thank you, thank you.

Paul: No problem.

John: That's great. Oh, one more thing-- the Salem spectator is gonna have a photo shoot in the square with a couple of the kids, and I was talking to the paper, and I got them to change it from the community page to the front page, if you would be a part of it. So you think there's a chance you can come to the square a little later and take some pictures?

Paul: Sure. Why not?

John: Aw, that's terrific. Paul, listen, you're gonna make this something the kids will never forget. Thank you. I'll see you soon.

Paul: Okay, yeah, no problem. Thank you.

[Door closes]

Tori: Why are you doing this, Paul?

Justin: Is this about the problems that Sonny and will have been having?

Adrienne: [Scoffs] Don't worry about it. Go. You got your big deal in Dubai. Just go.

Justin: No, wait. Hold on a second. Lucas was talking about this, and now you just brought it up. Come on. He's my son. Talk to me.

Adrienne: I'm not gonna talk to you about our son's marital problems, not until you talk to me about ours.

Lucas: What is going on?

Will: Dad, I don't want to jinx the article by talking about it.

Lucas: Obviously, it has something to do with Mrs. Narita. And it has something to do with the lake. Why didn't you just show Roman the photograph?

Will: Dad, things are tricky right now. I'm still only just asking questions, and the fewer people that know the details, the better.

Lucas: I think you need to let this go.

Will: Dad, I-I--

Lucas: Listen, I know you felt that you had to pressure Mrs. Narita with that information just to get Paul to leave town, but if he's gonna go, if he's leaving town and he's out of your life and he's out of Sonny's life, then I think it's time to let this go.

Will: Dad, this could be huge.

Lucas: "Huge"? This is more important than your marriage? Let's not forget you're the one who cheated on Sonny. That's the whole reason this damn thing came up.

Will: But, dad--

Lucas: You know, no buts. The only reason I agreed to help you was so you could have a chance on working on your marriage. It wasn't so you could further your damn career.

Paul: You were listening? Why didn't you come in?

Tori: Because I didn't want to argue with you in front of a stranger.

Paul: Mom, I made a commitment. There's a lot of kids that are counting on me. So I'm gonna be staying a few more days.

Tori: You made a commitment to me.

Paul: Well, yeah, I agreed that, uh... I agreed to leave. And, um, if you were listening just now, you would know that this event is a lot more than just about baseball. We're gonna be raising a ton of money--

Tori: That man is using you.

Paul: [Laughing] Mom. It's what fund-raisers do. Mom, what's the big deal? It's just a few more days.

Tori: You know what the big deal is.

Paul: Okay, we'll just hang out here at the hotel until the benefit. And if Sonny comes home, I'll stay out of his way and will's too. Now, look, if--if you need to go back to san Francisco--

Tori: No, Paul, we both need to leave, today!

Maggie: Hi, there.

Brady: Hey. Hi. Hi.

Daniel: Hey, Brady. Now, you're gonna be in and out for the next few hours, but that's--that's normal.

Brady: [Sighs] Actually, I-I feel pretty good. I feel better. Do either of you know where, uh--where Melanie went?

[Knock at door]

Theresa: Oh, god, what the hell?

Clint: You expecting company?

Theresa: No, forget it. It must be some drunk. Don't worry about it.

[Knock at door]

Clint: Someone wants in.

Theresa: Yeah, look, just... I'll get rid of whoever, okay? Hang on.

Melanie: Theresa, I know you're in there! Open up!

Theresa: What the hell is with you?

Melanie: You disgusting little bitch, how dare you?

Theresa: [Sighs] (Vo) Maggie wasn't thrilled when Ben and I got married.

Justin: Look, Adrienne, everything isn't about us.

Adrienne: [Scoffs] Apparently nothing is.

Justin: If Sonny has a problem-- okay, after I finish with this deal in Dubai, I will definitely--

Adrienne: Definitely what? Hurry home to make it all right? What, buy me a piece of jewelry, take me to dinner? Justin, I don't feel like being the good little wife waiting for you at home to be finished with your deal and Elsa.

Justin: The situation with Elsa...

Adrienne: Oh, is that what you call sleeping with her-- a situation?

Justin: I never meant for that to happen.

Adrienne: Except it did, didn't it?

Justin: Yes, it did. I made a mistake... and I'm so sorry. But that doesn't change the fact that I have a professional obligation to fulfill... business that I have to take care of, right?

Will: Dad, I couldn't agree more, okay? I should let this go.

Lucas: Mm-hmm.

Will: But when this photo showed up and you helped me figure out where it had to have been taken--

[Knock at door]

Lucas: What? I'm not gonna say a word. Relax.

John: Ah, good. You're home. I was hoping I'd-- hey, how you doing, Lucas?

Lucas: Good, john. How you doing?

[Baby cries]

John: Well, I think I'm doing better than she is.

Will: Oh, shoot, somebody's grumpy.

Lucas: Whoa, whoa, I got it. I got your back. Relax, I'm on it.

Will: Thanks, dad. I appreciate it. So what's up?

John: Well, will, as you probably know, I am all-in on this benefit for the little league and all the kids in need.

Will: Yeah, I heard.

John: You know, and I'm kind of hoping that maybe you can get your boss to put up a blurb on the Sonix website. You know, we're trying to build a crowd.

Will: Absolutely. I'm sure Zoe can do that. In fact, I bet she can make a corporate contribution. I mean, this article on Paul has been popping. I'm sure she can give back.

John: Oh, that's damn right. Listen, I made up a little flyer here with all the pertinent information. We're hoping for a great turnout. It's really gonna help the kids.

Will: [Laughs] That's great. Paul's going to be there.

John: Oh, yeah.

Will: But this isn't-- he's still in Salem.

John: Yeah. In fact, he's gonna be part of the photo shoot that we're putting on in a little while.

Will: John, um, I-I'm sorry. Of course I'll have Sonix put up the blurb, but there's something I-I completely forgot I need to take care of.

John: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, no problem. I should have called first. Sorry.

Will: Um, that's...

Lucas: Look who it is. Look who gave grandpa a great, big smile.

John: [Funny voice] That's the only kind I have, Grandpa. [Laughs]

Will: Dad, can you watch Ari for a little while? I have to go out.

Lucas: Yeah, I thought you were gonna take care of some things for me.

Will: Something came up. I-I have to go. Thanks.

Lucas: All right.

[Door opens]

Will: You'll be sorry, Mrs. Narita.

Paul: Mom, I don't get it. Why would you lose it like that? It's just a few days delay.

Tori: Paul, don't be silly. I didn't lose it. It's just... you know how I am about sticking to a schedule.

Paul: You need to be more flexible, okay? [Sighs] Look, I don't want to let these kids down, and I know you don't want me to either.

Tori: But it was all worked out.

Paul: And now it's changed. Listen, I-I've got to get over to the square, but when I get back, we'll order room service, watch a movie, whatever you want, okay?

Tori: Paul--

Paul: Mom, I'm serious. We'll hole up here at the hotel, and, um, the only time anybody will see me is at the event, okay? Look, I have to get going. I'll see you later.

[Knock at door]

Daniel: Well, all anybody knows is that Melanie said she had a an errand to run. You want to talk after she gets back?

Brady: No, it's okay. She--she probably said something to me. I'm not--not exactly running on all cylinders here, but... did--did you, uh-- did you get the drug test back?

Daniel: Uh, yeah, but without your consent, I can't talk about your condition with someone else in the room, so...

Brady: [Sighs] Hey, no, Maggie's family. She's also my sponsor. She should know what happened. And just for the record, I sw-- I swear I did not use. Whatever is in my body, I know I didn't put it there.

Maggie: Do you remember anything at all?

Brady: I went for a run. I went for a run, and I-I came home. I remember being home, and then I-I ended up in this room.

Brady: Well, your tox screen told us why. You were hit with a powerful tranquilizer.

Maggie: What?

Daniel: Well, when we did a second examination on his skin, we found a puncture wound on your, uh--on your neck.

Brady: I didn't do that. I didn't shoot anything in--

Daniel: Okay, I know you didn't. Nothing showed... in your blood screen, except the tranquilizer. But somebody wanted you unconscious. I called the police immediately, and Abe has a team examining the room where you were found.

Brady: All right, so someone--someone drugged me because...?

Daniel: Well, uh, it gets even crazier now. You had blood drawn.

Maggie: Well, I mean, isn't that standard when you're admitted?

Daniel: Yeah, it is, but they only draw once, and Brady... had blood drawn in both arms...

Maggie: [Gasps]

Daniel: At least that's the assumption.

Brady: Why would anybody want to take my blood?

Theresa: What the hell is your skinny ass doing in my doorway?

Melanie: A, thank you. B, it's not. It's inside now, and I'm not leaving until you tell me what makes you think you could do something to Brady like that.

Theresa: Do what? Do what to Brady? You know, I make a point of staying away from him loser ass and yours, but for some psycho reason, you just can't stay away from me, can you?

Theresa: Because you obviously need to be monitored every second of the day.

Theresa: Oh, my god, you're such a stalker.

Melanie: How could you hurt Brady like that?

Theresa: I didn't hurt-- wait. Wait, wait, wait. Did something happen to Brady?

Melanie: Of course, you don't know anything about it.

Theresa: No, Melanie, I don't. What happened?

Melanie: Yeah, I really believe you there for a second, but since you asked, bra-- I thought you said you had a new boyfriend, but he looks like the old one.

Theresa: Oh, you know what? Go to hell. You have no say in who I see... or what I do with him... for hours. So, whatever happened to Brady, you can't blame me because I was here with Clint, and if you don't get of my apartment, I'm gonna charge you with harassment.

Melanie: Don't bother.

Clint: You know, Theresa, all you have to do is say the word, and I can handle this chick for you.

Melanie: Shh, shh, shush. I'm going back to the hospital.

Theresa: Wait. The hospital?

Melanie: Yeah.

Theresa: Brady's in the hospital?

Melanie: Yeah, and just go... back to just doing what you were doing. This was obviously a mistake.

Theresa: But, Melanie...

Daniel: Okay, let's not jump to conclusions. Maria, the nurse who took your blood, is relatively new. She could have felt that she had to switch arms. It's unlikely, and it's not in the record. Um, but, you know, I'll check with her when she comes in tomorrow. Other than that, though, I cannot think of any reason why you'd have a puncture in both arms.

Abe: Hey.

Maggie: Hi, Abe.

Daniel: Hey, Abe.

Abe: Hey, Brady, how you doing?

Brady: I'm okay.

Daniel: So what's up with the investigation at the mansion?

Abe: Well, I just got a call from the team going over the study. They found your wallet... empty of any cash.

Brady: So it was a robbery?

Abe: It looks like it--  carefully planned. But give us time. We'll get to the bottom of it. Uh, Daniel, um...

Daniel: Uh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. I'll be right back.

Maggie: Okay. Bye.

Brady: Hey, have you, um... have you spoken to granddad? Does--does he know about this?

Maggie: Not yet. He's driving to Chicago. But I'll call him if you want me to or--or your dad.

Brady: No, no, no, no. I'd rather tell them when I'm... [Inhales deeply] Back on my feet and not so groggy. But thank you. Thank you for being here.

Maggie: Somebody treated you terribly... and they robbed you. But you know what? You were clean and sober. And that's all that counts.

Brady: Yeah, that is what counts.

Maggie: [Chuckles] Let's make sure we get you to lots of meetings, okay? [Chuckles]

Brady: All right, done.

Maggie: Okay.

Brady: You know what?

Maggie: What?

Brady: Maggie, you just might be the best sponsor that a guy could have.

Maggie: I'm here because I love you, Brady. I'm so relieved you're okay.

Brady: I love you. I love you.

Maggie: Oh.

Justin: My fault. You're very upset, understandably. Look, Adrienne, I have to get back to Dubai. They were very understanding about Sonny--

Adrienne: That's very sweet. If you think I'm gonna be very understanding, you can think again.

Justin: I'm sorry.

Adrienne: Right, because it was a mistake, right? Assuming that's true, have you told Elsa that it's over yet?

Justin: I'm not gonna lie to you.

Adrienne: Oh, that would be refreshing.

Justin: I can't risk having the whole deal fall apart. I mean, if she gets upset...

Adrienne: Wait, wait. You have to continue bedding her to make sure the deal doesn't get blown? Is that what you call being a good lawyer, Justin, or a whore?

Justin: [Exhales deeply] That's not the way I meant to say it.

Adrienne: No, no. No, no, you said enough. If you respect me at all--at all, you just--you go. Please, go.

John: [Funny voice] I'd like to stick around and put on a puppet show... [Normal voice] But I got to get to a photo shoot.

Lucas: [Laughs]

John: Want to go, hmm? You're a cutie.

Lucas: So what's that all about?

John: Oh, I'm--I'm involved in a fund-raiser.

Lucas: Mm-hmm.

John: And, uh... I came over to see if will would put a blurb up on the Sonix website, help us out.

Lucas: This is in a couple days, and Paul Narita's gonna be there?

John: Yeah, yeah, he agreed to stick around until after the benefit. In fact, he's gonna be at the photo shoot, so I got to get there. So I'll see you around. Bye, honey. Love you.

Lucas: Take care. So long. Good to see you.

[Door closes]

Lucas: Well, I guess now we know why your daddy tore out of here so quick, right?

Will: Paul! Open up! Paul!

Tori: Please, lower your voice. Come in.

Will: Where's Paul?

Tori: He's not here.

Will: We had an agreement that you would get him out of here by today.

Tori: I tried. He was packed, but he realized that he'd already made a commitment to raise money for underprivileged children. As soon as that is over, we'll be gone.

Will: No.

Tori: Sorry?

Will: I know all about that event. It's really great, helping the kids. Good for him, but it's just another excuse.

Tori: No, it's a charity.

Will: Bull. Your son is trying to make sure that he's still here in Salem when my husband comes back. You know it. I know it. Paul knows it.

Brady: You know, I was, uh-- I was thinking... maybe one of my old drug dealers saw me out running and followed me home.

Abe: Did you see anyone while you were running?

Brady: No one out of the ordinary, no.

Abe: Well, unfortunately, the security camera at the door where you entered was corrupted, probably by your assailant.

Brady: Listen, can we, uh-- can we keep this whole thing on the down-low right now? I don't think there's any reason to worry my father or my grandfather.

Abe: Well, john's off today. It's not a problem. But I do have to get over there and check in with my team.

Maggie: I-I just--I just want to make sure that Henderson is in on what we don't want Victor to know just yet.

Abe: Yeah, sure. You take care folks, all right?

Maggie: Okay, bye.

Brady: Thanks, Abe.

Abe: Take care.

Daniel: Bye. Bye, mom.

Maggie: Bye-bye.

Daniel: Look, um, I'm really sorry. I thought it looked like--

Brady: Daniel, Daniel, don't. It did look like I was using again. I mean, how many times have I woken up on the floor and... wondered how I got there? You were worried about Melanie... and what that would do to her.

Daniel: Yeah. Well, I mean, I was also concerned about you. You're my friend, but, yeah. She--she is my priority. She means the world to me. And I'll admit, I'm overprotective of her. I wasn't there when she was little, and--and--

Brady: And you're making up for lost time. If I had had a relapse, there would've been no room for me in that equation. I get that.

Daniel: But you didn't. And everything's--everything's good. So is there anything I can do--I can do for you?

Brady: Yeah, actually, there is.

Maggie: So, if Victor calls, you're not to mention a word of it to him, okay? [Chuckles] Thank you, Henderson. And listen, make sure the staff knows too, okay? Yeah, and I'll come home later.

Melanie: Hi.

Maggie: Hi. Hi.

Melanie: I know dad called you. Have you talked to Brady?

Maggie: Yeah, yeah. He's fine.

Melanie: Thank god. I was just trying to figure out what happened to him.

Maggie: Okay, did you talk to Abe? Amazing, isn't it? I mean, that he would be robbed in our home. Brady thinks he was followed in by someone.

Melanie: That's--that's all that happened?

Maggie: Well... t-there might be more.

Theresa: That bitch is unbelievable. Anytime she thinks something's wrong, it's my fault. [Sighs] I'm sorry. You don't want to hear this.

Clint: No, no, let it out. It'll do you good.

Theresa: Um, I'm just hungry.

Clint: Talk to me, babe. Why is the redhead after you this time, huh?

Theresa: Uh, it's something with Brady black. She thinks she has to protect him. I mean, anytime something goes wrong, seriously, she just blames me, and she thinks it's completely my fault.

Clint: Your fault. I got it. What happened to Brady?

Theresa: I don't know. He probably stubbed his precious toe or something. But bottom line, you know, she hates my guts, and she's all up in my grill any chance she gets.

Clint: Maybe I should come up with a way to make you forget all about her.

Theresa: Oh, well, you could. But you know what? God, Clint, I am just starving. I'm so sorry. Do you think maybe you could get us some sandwiches from buddy's? Please? I just don't want to get dressed.

Clint: Anything to make sure you don't get dressed.

Theresa: [Laughs]

Clint: I'll bring some more wine.

Theresa: Okay.

[Door closes]

Theresa: Oh, my god. I have to find out what happened. [Sighs]

Justin: Adrienne--

Adrienne: Don't--don't you-- don't.

Justin: My god, we... we--we can't just leave things like this.

Adrienne: [Scoffs] I'm sorry, but how did you expect to leave it, Justin... in some sort of suspended animation? "Let me stick a pin in my silly situation till I get back, until I'm done with Elsa." Whenever that is, whenever you're done with Elsa.

Justin: Adrienne--

Adrienne: No! What's my response supposed to be, Justin? "Sure, honey, go sew some wild oats--I'll be here for you when you get back"?

Justin: You're making this--

Adrienne: Don't! Don't you finish that sentence, I swear to god, I'll do a hell of a lot more than slap you. We should have just left things the way they were.

Justin: Serious--seriously... I can't leave you like this.

Adrienne: Be honest. You left me a long time ago.

Marco: Paul's here!

John: All right, all right, kids, I know you're all excited that Paul's here, but I want you to put your game faces on, 'cause you're gonna learn something, all right?

Marco: Yeah.

Paul: Now, I hear that you both are pitchers.

Marco: Yep.

Molly: I'm the strikeout queen.

Paul: Oh, that's awesome. Yes, go for it. Yeah.

John: Fernando here is what we call a "mathlete." Now, a lot of the money we raise--we're gonna make sure the kids get their computers and supplies for their education, right?

Marco: Yep.

John: Yep.

Paul: Fernando, I am really impressed with you, buddy.

Fernando: My dad wants to know if you'll autograph his ball.

Paul: Oh, you bet I will. No problem.

John: Oh, here we start. [Sighs] Thanks for doing this. These kids are something else, aren't they?

Paul: They are. And I'm really glad I agreed to stay.

Tori: Paul realizes he shouldn't be here. He promised to stay in this room, take his meals here. The only time he'll leave this room is for the charity function.

Will: So what? Sonny told his mom that he'll be back any day now. And you know what he's gonna see when he does? Paul's face... plastered on every telephone pole and every storefront. The hero of Salem stepping up to help all the little kids in need.

Tori: Will, you can't expect him to abandon those children. It's for charity.

Will: We'll raise enough money without him. Get him out of here.

Tori: I tried.

Will: Try harder... unless you want your son to know why you never wanted him to come to Salem in the first place.

Daniel: What do you need, hmm?

Brady: Melanie said she was-- she was gonna come back. I was hoping to spend some time with her and let her know that everything was okay.

Daniel: But you're about to nod off.

Brady: Um, yeah. [Chuckles softly] Can you--can you talk to her? Can you just... just... tell her not to worry about me.

Daniel: Yeah, well, see, that's not possible... because she loves you.

Brady: [Chuckles]

Melanie: What do you mean "there might be more"?

Maggie: Um, it's odd, and it could be nothing.

Melanie: What?

Maggie: Well, whoever robbed and drugged Brady... they may also have taken some of his blood. [Sighs]

Clint: Dr. Mandrake, it's Clint. Just wanted you to know I got what you wanted from Brady black. It's on ice. And odds are he's in the hospital, meaning they already know he got a big dose of a tranquilizer. That's why I've been thinking maybe I'll try something different with Theresa. Seriously, Dr. Mandrake, it's okay. I'll still get her blood tomorrow. She won't know what hit her. All I have to do is keep her distracted till it's time. Then we'll have everything we need.

Theresa: Stupid nurse. [Sighs] [Mockingly] "I'm sorry. We can't give information to anybody who's not Brady black's family." [Scoffs] [Normal voice] You know, we were married... for, like, two minutes. [Scoffs] And I'm nothing to him now. And he's nothing to me. Nothing. [Chuckles] I don't even care.

Adrienne: [Crying] Yes, we still have rings on our fingers. And, yes, we made solemn vows. But you abandoned me a long time ago.

Justin: Adrienne--

Adrienne: No, don't, don't. I've known. I've known in my heart for months that you've been unfaithful. I've dealt with this before, remember?

Justin: I'll be in touch.

Adrienne: [Cries] [Sniffles] Good-bye.

Good. Paul, how about you kneel in front and have the kids surround you?

Paul: Oh, you know, this isn't about me. It's about them. How about, uh, they all get up and jump in front of me, and I'll have my arms around them like this?

[All laughing]

Great, great. I need some smiles, guys.

Fernando: [Laughs]

Paul: Guys, we just won the world series. How great are we, huh?

Marco: Good.

Paul: [Laughing] Yeah.

Marco: Yeah, we're good.

Awesome.

Paul: [Chuckles]

Marcos: [Playfully] Ow! Aah!

[All laughing]

Perfect.

[Camera shutter clicks]

Tori: Listen to me, Will. My being in Salem all those years ago had absolutely nothing to do with Paul.

Will: Please. It had everything to do with Paul. This is where you met his father.
