[Knock at door]
Kristen: Eve Larson. Hi. I'm Kristen DiMera.
Eve: I know who you are. Why are you here?
Kristen: Well, I thought we should get to know each other better.
Theresa: Hey, Anne. Wait. Before you say anything, there's a reason that I'm late.
Anne: Isn't there always?
Theresa: Brady and I are back together.
Anne: Oh, could you say that once more with some feeling?
Theresa: Well, we slept together. I mean, that's got to mean something, right?
Theresa: I mean, okay, he left before we were actually able to--
Anne: That's because he's in with his father.
Theresa: Oh, that's why.
Theresa: Oh, my God, he's in with his father?
Anne: Oh, calm down. John backed up your story about what happened the night he was hurt, right?
Anne: All right, so there's nothing to worry about.
Theresa: Except john knows that it was me... in the Kiriakis mansion... with the poker. The question is, is he going to keep all that from Brady? Brady, um... hey, how's your dad? Anything new?
Clyde: Hey, Ben.
Ben: Clyde... thanks for coming.
Clyde: Yeah, of course. First time you've asked me to come see you since I don't know when.
Ben: Well, I've been thinking a lot about what you said to me, about helping me out.
Clyde: I'm happy to help you out, son, if you'd only let me.
Ben: Maybe it's time we talked.
Sonny: You sure you're up to watching Ari today?
Abigail: Yeah. Yeah, definitely. I can't think of anything else I'd rather do.
Sonny: 'Cause I haven't had a chance to talk with you since... EJ. How are you doing?
Abigail: I'm okay. How's, um--how's will?
Sonny: Uh, I haven't seen all that much of him lately. He's been spending a lot of time with his mom and helping out with the kids.
Abigail: Is that where he is now?
Sonny: Actually, I have no idea.
Will: Thank you for taking the time to see me.
Victor: Oh, of course. What's so top secret you couldn't tell me over the phone?
Will: At the wedding, you told me that I was family... and that if I ever needed help, I could count on you.
Victor: Absolutely. What is it, will? Are you in some kind of trouble?
Will: No... but my mom is.
Sami: Hey, you know what? Let's get Sydney and Johnny and take the day off from school. We'll go to a pumpkin patch, huh?
[Knock at door]
Sami: Hold on, sweetie.
Samantha Brady DiMera?
Agent Cooper: I'm Agent Cooper. This is my partner, Agent Steen.
Agent Steen: We have a warrant for your arrest--SEC violations.
Sami: Oh, but I-I-I didn't do anything wrong. I mean, I didn't mean to do anything wrong. Wait. No, you have to give me a chance to explain.
Sami: Sweetheart, it's okay. Everything's gonna be okay. Oh, God!
Agent: Let's go.
Allie: Go where? When are you coming back?
Agent: Your mommy should be home for your 30th birthday party, kid.
Sami: No! What? No, come on!
Allie: Mommy, Mommy!
Sami: [Gasps] [Sighs]
Kate: Look, I know you were up all night, but, um... you look terrible. Are you okay?
Sami: No, Kate, I am not okay. I can't go to prison. I can't.
Kate: Well, I hate to say it, but at this point, I don't think you'll be able to avoid it.
Tad: Chad. Ah, I'm glad I ran into you. I've been meaning to call. Um, I'm so sorry about your brother.
Chad: Thank you.
Tad: Yeah, I, uh--I know you guys weren't exactly tight, and I didn't know him too well, but, um... he and Sami, uh, helped out at the club one night.
Chad: EJ and Sami?
Tad: Yeah, new year's eve night. And we were short-staffed, and I, uh--I got to see a different side of him.
Chad: Yeah, what side's that?
Tad: That, um, under all that... [British accent] "I'm above it all" attitude... [Normal voice] That he had, he really was a... pretty nice guy.
Brady: My dad's doing great.
Theresa: What I meant was, did he remember any more about the night that he was hurt?
Brady: No. No, but he had--had a lot to say about you.
Theresa: Really? Like what?
Brady: Why don't we go someplace else to talk about that?
Kristen: Cute... very quaint and cozy.
Eve: Well, coming from a worldly woman like yourself, I'll take that as a compliment. But we both know you didn't come over here to exchange home-decorating ideas, did you?
Kristen: That's very true, so I'll get right to the point. I know what your sister, Theresa, did to Brady, and I'm not gonna let it stand.
Chad: Yeah, I guess a lot of other people got to see that other side of EJ, but... I mean, for a while, I thought I did too, but...
Tad: I get it. I mean, he--he is--was-- a complicated guy.
Chad: Yeah, so now that he's gone, everything is more complicated.
Tad: Mm, for everybody-- I mean, will and Abigail.
Chad: Wait. Have you seen her? How is she?
Tad: I wish I knew. I just ran into her, and she didn't even have time to talk. She's on her way to will and Sonny's to go babysit Ari. But I got to go. I'll see you later.
Abigail: Well, I can't wait to see Ari.
Sonny: Mm-hmm. [Clears throat] In a second. But first I just want you to back up and level with me here. You can't tell me that EJ's death didn't hit you pretty hard.
Abigail: [Sighs] You know, when, um... when everything came out about me and EJ, I was so angry at him, and... I blamed him, even though it was both of us. But I just... I didn't want it to ruin things with Ben.
Sonny: But it didn't.
Abigail: No, it didn't. Ben was... was really cool with it. I just--I wish I could have been that way with EJ the last time I saw him.
Sonny: What do you mean?
Abigail: He was trying to reach out. He was--he was being nice, and I just told him to get lost, and I basically just told him to butt out of my life.
Sonny: Abigail, you can't feel guilty about that.
Abigail: I know.
Sonny: You didn't want anything bad to happen to the guy.
Abigail: No, I didn't. Of course not, but... I said some really horrible things to him... you know, things that I didn't even mean, and... I'm just--I'm never gonna get the chance to say... I'm sorry or take that back. And... that's just something that I'm gonna have to live with.
Clyde: Listen, I meant what I said before. I'd be pleased and proud to help my boy in any way that I can. After you and your sister left, I took a little cash and bought a trucking company down in the Ozarks. It's done pretty damn well, praise the lord.
Ben: So that's how you're making all your money now?
Clyde: That's part of it. I also got me a place in Branson, which has really taken off.
Ben: Hmm. So, if all your business is down there, how can you stay here?
Clyde: Well, I got a lot of good folks helping me. And I'm not such a hick that I couldn't learn how to use a computer to help you manage it all. So you got any interest in joining the folks down in poplar bluff, I could set you--
Ben: Oh, no, no, no. I don't think so.
Clyde: I do have the sense that your heart's here in Salem with the fair Abigail. Am I right?
Victor: Your mother is in trouble and she needs my help?
Will: No. She doesn't know that I'm here.
Will: None of them do.
Victor: "None of them"?
Will: Well, um, um, mom, dad, grandma Kate.
Victor: [Chuckles] It's just like the old days. What have they gotten themselves into now that they need my help?
Will: Well, I don't know any of the specifics, but I overheard the three of them talking. I didn't ask any questions because I knew that they wouldn't give me the whole story if I did.
Victor: About what?
Will: My mom is going to go to prison unless someone can pull off a miracle.
Kate: Lucas and I are doing everything we possibly can to keep you out of prison, but you're--you know, you're no help here. Do you understand the charges against you?
Sami: Yes, I do, okay? I just didn't care.
Kate: What, you just didn't care that what you were doing was illegal? I get that. But, you know, if I had any idea of how stupid you were being--
Sami: Okay, you know what? Hold on. You knew that I was going to dump that company, okay? I just went about it in a creative way.
Kate: Oh, is that what felony fraud is called these days?
Sami: What is this you're calling? Are you actually calling this help?
Kate: Sami, we're going to fix this.
Sami: Mm-hmm. Why do you even care?
Kate: I do care. Those kids have already lost their father. They are not going to lose their mother too.
Ben: I'd rather not leave Salem for a job. But that doesn't mean I'm ready to take a handout from you either.
Clyde: Well, look, Ben, whatever help you get from me, it'll be on your terms, okay? I consider it a good first step for the two of us. And I meant what I said. It doesn't mean that you forgive me. You're my kid, and I owe you.
Ben: You know I would never ask this if I had any other choice.
Clyde: You think I don't know that? You work hard. You make your own way. You always have. You always will.
Ben: I've been saving for a long time to go to school. I'm almost there. But this place where I'm living, it's--it's not the best. It's a rented room in someone else's house.
Clyde: Yeah, you need your own place.
Ben: Well, I don't need my own place, but...
Clyde: Listen, Ben, I'm your daddy, right? I was supposed to feed and clothe you for 18 years. I fell down on the job. I want to make things right, if you'd only let me. I consider it a good investment, okay? And if you want to keep this quiet between the two of us, it's "a" okay with me.
Ben: No, I wouldn't be able to keep it from Jordan.
Clyde: All right, well, suit yourself, but, um... you know what she's bound to say.
Ben: [Scoffs] Oh, yeah.
Clyde: Listen, I'll give you some more time to think about this. But you decide you want my help, you say the word, and it's there.
Abigail: I know I'm not the only one with regrets. Will and I haven't exactly been getting along lately, but... will you please, please tell him that I'm so sorry for what he and Sami's family are going through?
Sonny: I'll tell him. I don't know when that will be, but I will tell him.
Abigail: You guys doing okay?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, everything's just super stressful, with everything that's been doing on lately.
Abigail: Well, I hope that he's gonna take some time off work.
Sonny: Well, if you're wondering about the article on Chad, I'm pretty sure he's not gonna write that now.
Abigail: Good, good. That's good.
Abigail: You know, while I'm watching my beautiful goddaughter, why don't you track down that handsome husband of yours and--I don't know--maybe take a break and just go do something fun?
Sonny: You know, that sounds like a great idea.
Victor: I don't understand. Why would your mother go to prison? From what I heard, EJ was killed in a drug-related mugging.
Will: Wait. No. You don't-- no, my mom loved EJ. This is a business issue for DiMera enterprises.
Victor: Well, tell me more.
Will: I know that you hate Stefano. I don't want to drag you into this if it's gonna start world war iii.
Victor: Will, look at me. If there's anything I can to do to help your mother, I will. If I can't, I'll be honest with you, and this whole conversation will end right here.
Will: Thank you.
Victor: All right. Now, I want you to tell me exactly what you overheard.
Kate: I can't believe this. I can--I cannot believe that you can't remember where you filed it.
Sami: Well, I put it here somewhere.
Kate: You know, Sami, you were never ever this sloppy with any of the other deals. Why this one?
Sami: 'Cause I was just thinking about getting revenge, you know? I mean, all I wanted was to make him pay, and now I am the one... [Voice breaking] I am the one who's gonna pay. You know, I mean, I... I've lost my husband, and I have lost--and--everything, and now I'm gonna lose my kids, and I'm gonna lose every single thing that matters to me in the whole world, and I-- [Crying] Why are you doing this? I mean, seriously, Kate... why are you, of all people, helping me?
Theresa: So what did your father say about me?
Brady: He said he wanted to get to know you better.
Theresa: If that's what you want.
Brady: Theresa, I don't-- I don't know what I want.
Theresa: Are you trying to tell me that you're sorry we made love last night?
Brady: No. No, no, no. The last couple days with you have been great--truly great. But I... with everything that's happened, I-I think we need to be careful.
Brady: I really like being with you. I-I-I love being with you. I just... I want to make sure we're doing the right thing.
Theresa: No, wait. This--this isn't really about us, is it? It's about Kristen.
Eve: So what exactly did my sister do to Brady black?
Kristen: Isn't it obvious? Her enabling caused a tragic situation to become exponentially worse.
Eve: You mean a tragic situation that you caused?
Kristen: Well, at least I'm not responsible for almost killing a man, am I?
Eve: What is that supposed to mean?
Kristen: That means that Theresa plied Brady with drugs and alcohol and then coerced him into a quickie wedding in Vegas. Thankfully that marriage has been annulled, but when john found out... well, isn't that what caused the fight that almost cost him his life?
Eve: [Scoffs] Well, you can't blame my sister for that.
Kristen: Of course I can. She's been telling the police since the very beginning that Brady was acting in self-defense because john attacked him. I think you and I both know the story's much greater than that.
[Cell phone ringing]
Eve: I've got to get this. Excuse me. Hello. What? No. No, I'm not a member of AARP, all right? No, I do not want a medical alert system. Thank you, no. Ugh! Telemarketer.
Kristen: They're so annoying, aren't they?
Eve: Speaking of annoying, I'd like to say that this has been fun, but it hasn't, so I would like you to take your criminal self out of my apartment.
Kristen: [Laughing] "Criminal self."
Eve: Yes, before I call the cops and have you thrown out, okay?
Kristen: Okay, well, I was exonerated, but if you insist.
Eve: Oh, I do, yeah.
Kristen: Okay, just so you know, eve, I'm leaving... but I'm not letting it go. If only these walls could talk. Thankfully... now they can.
Tad: Sweet. Looks like the perfect bachelor pad. You got a Jacuzzi? And it's not cheap either. Wow. Did Sonny give you a raise?
Ben: No, no, no, no. I'm just dreaming. [Chuckles]
Tad: All right. A man's got to dream.
Tad: And if you can make it reality, more power to you. And if you need a roommate, don't forget your friend T.
Ben: [Chuckles] Yeah.
Abigail: [Sighs, chuckles] You know what? Your mommy just wrote me a letter, and all she talked about was you. Yes, it's true. [Chuckles] Oh, God. I can't imagine what it would be like to be away from my little girl, especially my little girl who would be as sweet and cute as you were, huh?
[Knock at door]
Abigail: [Gasps] What's that? That's the door. Oh, okay, should we go see who it is? [Gasps] Okay, let's see.
Will: And that's all I know.
Victor: Well, you did the right thing coming to me. Now there's one thing that I want to ask of you.
Victor: I want you to erase this conversation from your memory. Don't repeat a word of it, ever, to anyone. You got it?
Will: D-d-does this mean that you think you'll be able to help my mom?
Victor: I just promise to do the best I can.
Will: Thank you. I-I don't know if I'll ever be able to make this up to you.
Victor: [Chuckles] Just promise me you'll never write an article about me, and we'll call it square.
Will: You're off the hook. After everything that happened with EJ and my mom and Abigail, I am never writing about my family again.
Kate: We threw our lots together, Sami. Even though you got back with EJ and wanted to probably get rid of me, we're partners.
Sami: I was never trying to get rid of you.
Kate: That's because you couldn't. After all these years, everything we've been through, it looks like, um... we're family, aren't we?
Sami: Yeah. Well, if someone were actually listening to this conversation, they'd, um--they might think you actually like me.
Kate: [Laughs] Well, I think "like" is kind of a strong word. I would say you are the mother of two of my grandchildren.
Sami: Of course. [Clears throat]
Kate: Besides, that painting of the two of us... [Chuckles] That's way too fierce to change.
Sonny: Hey. I hope I didn't pull you away from something important.
Will: No. How come you wanted to meet out here?
Sonny: Abigail has Ari, and when I'm at the club, I'm always getting pulled away to do something or other... and I wanted to focus completely on the person that means most to me.
Sonny: Everything okay?
Will: I've just been feeling really, um... overwhelmed lately.
Sonny: Does it have anything to do with where you ran off to this morning?
Will: I'm sorry I've been M.I.A. It's just, there's been so much I've been having to take care of for mom, you know. She's barely functioning, and... the kids are a mess.
Sonny: I understand, but you should have someone to lean on too. You know I'm here for you.
Will: I do. Thank you.
Sonny: Mm-hmm. And Abigail's worried about you too.
Will: Me? What about her?
Sonny: She has a lot of regrets about what she said the last time she saw EJ. I think she regrets a lot of things she said to you as well. She actually offered to stay a little longer with Ari so that you and I could grab lunch, have a little date.
Will: I-I wish I could, but I'm so far behind on this article about Chad, I-I really have to go do some research at the library and--
Sonny: Wait, wait, wait. After everything that happened, you're still planning on writing that article?
Chad: Uh, I-I'm here to see will.
Abigail: Uh, well, he, uh, and Sonny are out. Um, I'm babysitting. Oh, it's okay.
Chad: Okay, well, if you could just tell him I stopped by.
Abigail: Wait. Um, Chad, why don't you come in?
Chad: Okay. Hi.
Abigail: I'm glad to see you. How are you doing?
Abigail: Yeah? "Fine"? That's it? Chad, your brother was murdered. I-I know that you were really angry with him and with me, but I also know how close you guys were, and I know that he really cared about you.
Chad: Okay, I don't-- I don't really see the point about talking--talking about all this.
Abigail: I'm--okay, uh... I guess the point is, I'm sure you probably feel... confused and guilty and sad, and I want you to know that you don't have to pretend not to be sad, okay? It's okay. You--you don't have to.
Chad: Well, you always knew how to make me feel better, even while making me feel worse. [Chuckles]
Abigail: Sorry. I'm not trying to. I just... [Gasps] Oh, my God. Oh, I forgot to give her her juice. Oh, shoot.
Abigail: Do you think you could hold her maybe, just for a second?
Abigail: Thank you. [Gasps] I'll be right back. You must be so thirsty, Ari. Yes.
Chad: Hi. She's not just thirsty. She's eyeing my finger. Ah, look at those teeth.
Abigail: Well, she only does that if she likes you.
Abigail: You want to give her her juice?
Chad: Uh, uh, sure.
Abigail: If you want, okay.
Chad: Yeah, okay, okay.
Chad: Uh, uh...
Abigail: Hi. It's okay. Oh, come here.
Victor: Harold, I don't need to be announced.
Kate: Victor, what are you-- what are you doing here?
Victor: I am very sorry about EJ.
Sami: Thank you.
Victor: But we don't have time to waste on condolences, considering the fix that you're in with the SEC.
Sami: [Laughs] I don't know what you're talking about.
Victor: Oh, drop the act. First of all, you're no Sarah Bernhardt. And secondly, I know everything.
Kate: Okay, that's impossible.
Sami: Lucas didn't say anything--
Victor: About what? I didn't find out from Lucas.
Sami: Then who?
Victor: It doesn't matter. It's not important. What is important is that I'm here to help.
Sami: Why? I mean, you hate me. You hate our company. You hate everyone named DiMera.
Victor: This is not about you, Sami, hard as that may be for you to understand. This is about a wedding that took place at my house between your son and my nephew. Now, like it or not, you're part of my family. And if there's anything I can do to keep you out of prison, then that's what I'm going to do.
Kate: Well, that's all well and good, but I don't see what you can--
Victor: Do that you can't? Just watch me. Now, do yourself a favor and start from the very, very beginning. And let's see if we can fix this mess you've gotten yourself into.
Brady: I guess it is about Kristen. I didn't realize how much she was still in my head until she came back to Salem. And then--and then she goes and--and saves my father, Theresa, after I almost kill him.
Theresa: Hey, Brady--
Brady: And, look, I wouldn't... I wouldn't feel right using you to get over her. It's not right.
Theresa: I don't care. If that's what it takes to get that woman out of your system...
Brady: I couldn't do that. I couldn't do that to you or-- or to me.
[Cell phone ringing]
Brady: Go ahead. Take it, 'cause I need to go to the hospital.
Theresa: But I-I--
Brady: I want to--I want to see my father when he gets out of physical therapy. I'll see you later, okay?
[Cell phone continues ringing]
Theresa: Hey, I'm kind of busy, so...
Eve: Fine. I guess we'll discuss Kristen DiMera some other time, then.
Eve: I know--if you're just too busy, that's okay.
Theresa: Tell me why you want to discuss Kristen DiMera, Eve. What the hell is going on?
Eve: Kristen DiMera, aka psycho wack job of all time, was just here... asking about you.
Kristen: Yeah, and I'll have a club sandwich, easy on the mayo. And if you're smart, make it fast, 'cause I'm really hungry. [Sighs]
[Knock at door]
Kristen: Just a second. Ms. Milbauer.
Anne: Oh, oh, call me Anne, please.
Kristen: Okay, Anne. Come in.
Anne: T-thank you. Of course. Uh, so, um, I'm--I'm very sorry for your loss, ms. DiMera. Your brother was a--he was a formidable person... not to mention exceedingly handsome. [Laughs] Oh, I'm sorry. Perhaps that was inappropriate now that he's gone, I mean, to focus on what a great-looking guy he is--was. Okay, the thing is, Mrs. DiMera--ms. DiMera--what-- what--what I mean to say is that your brother's physical attributes were only one part of what made him--made him so appealing.
Kristen: Please just stop going on and on about my brother right now.
Anne: I'm so sorry, ms. DiMera. The last thing I wanted to do was to upset you any further.
Kristen: I'm sure.
Anne: [Sighs] I, uh--I have to admit, I'm a little curious as to why you would want to see me.
Kristen: Well, it's simple, actually-- because I have big plans, and they involve you.
Will: I talked to Chad about whether he wants me to spike the article, and he wants me to write it.
Sonny: Is that what you were doing this morning?
Will: No, I talked to him yesterday. But he said that if I don't do it, then someone else will, and he's right.
Sonny: [Sighs] Maybe, but that argument is getting really old. That's exactly what you said about your mom and EJ--
Will: I have complete editorial control now, sonny, okay? That article is going to be respectful, whereas if someone else were to write it, it wouldn't be.
Sonny: And someone else would get a byline on the cover of Sonix magazine.
Will: Wait. Is that what you think this is about-- get--getting a byline?
Sonny: I think it's important to you, and it should be. I-I-I could understand why you wanted to write the article about Chad at the beginning, but now that EJ has been murdered...
Will: The article is gonna be so much better.
Victor: Well, I've seen worse.
Kate: Bernie Madoff, right?
Victor: No, he was better at covering his tracks.
Sami: I know it's not that bad, okay? I mean, he stole people's savings, their fortunes. He--he ruined other people's lives.
Victor: And you, in your shortsighted quest for revenge, almost destroyed your own.
Sami: Well, I'm not gonna let that happen. I had a nightmare last night that men in black suits showed up and hauled me off to prison in front of my daughter, and I can't let that happen.
Victor: You don't have to worry about that. That's not going to happen. First of all, they don't wear black anymore. And they will be very kind and gentle with you until they lock you up and throw away the key. Now, you and I need to get together and sort this out.
Sami: Okay, what can I do? What do I do?
Victor: Um, mm, in the condition you're in, you would be nothing but a distraction.
Kate: Sami, I'm sure you'd much rather stay here and watch the kids.
Victor: And take a little time for yourself and clean up. Anybody saw you now, they'd know you were guilty.
Kate: Or in mourning.
Victor: Yes, of course. Sorry. Do it anyway. It'll make you feel a lot better.
[Knock at door]
Abigail: Hi. Hey.
Chad: [Clears throat] Time for Uncle Chad to split.
Abigail: Okay, um, I'll tell will that you stopped by.
Chad: Yeah, thanks.
Abigail: Oh, uh, I have to get her changed, so I'll be right back. I trust that you guys will be okay for a few seconds.
Chad: No worries. I won't be here that long.
Ben: Can you hold up a second, Chad?
Chad: All right, look, I know what you're probably thinking, but I'm not interested in Abigail that way anymore. I'm kind of seeing someone.
Ben: I don't need to get in your business. I just... I wanted to let you know that I'm sorry about your brother. If anything were to happen to my sister, I'd be... anyway, I really am sorry.
Brady: Amy, hi, hi. My dad is not in his room.
Amy: He went down to P.T. A little early.
Brady: Okay, thanks.
Amy: I've never seen a patient make such an amazing recovery. You must be thrilled the doctors were able to find a drug to help him.
Anne: Uh, I-I have to say, ms. DiMera, I-I-I'm not sure I understand exactly. What plans are you talking about?
Kristen: Well, my brother EJ...
Kristen: Meant the world to me.
Kristen: And I really--I want to make sure that his name lives on. There you go.
Anne: Thank you.
Kristen: You know, he was very fond of university hospital.
Anne: Oh, he was?
Kristen: Of course, he was on the board, wasn't he?
Anne: Indeed. Uh, well, so I'm--I'm still, ms. DiMera, not sure exactly how you see me helping--
Kristen: Well, usually the foundation and its associated scholarship falls under the jurisdiction of public relations, but lately Jennifer Deveraux and myself-- we've had kind of a miscommunication, so I thought it would be more productive if I approached you directly.
Anne: Absolutely. That's a good call.
Kristen: And I know that EJ would want to away with nepotism-- you know, give younger, fresh talent the opportunity to shine.
Anne: Sing it, sister. [Laughs]
Kristen: After careful consideration, I've decided that I want it to be your department that is the beneficiary and administrator of the scholarship in EJ's name, and it will fund...
Kristen: A, uh, professional, nonmedical internship program.
Anne: Wow. I-I-I-I don't even know what to say. That is such an honor for me.
Kristen: Just say "yes."
Kristen: Great. Fantastic.
Kristen: Now, I'm not sure of the proper protocol. I mean, maybe you should contact the head of the hospital and see if maybe the money is needed more someplace else--
Anne: Oh, no, no. No, no, no, no. I'm sure it isn't. In fact, why don't I call him right now?
Anne: Okay. Yeah, can I have the administrator's office, please? It's Anne... Milbauer, Anne Milbauer.
Sonny: Do you honestly think--
Will: Look, that--that did not come out right. Before, Chad was so angry at EJ that it was hard to get him to focus on himself. But now... maybe it'll be--he'll be able to--to really think about what his relationship with his brother was like, you know, before.
Sonny: Plus, there's nothing like a murder to get sales going, right?
Will: In the magazine business, we like to sell magazines. If my chosen career bothers you so much--
Sonny: No, that's not what this is about, will.
Will: No. What this is about is you questioning my judgment and my integrity... again. Is that any better?
Sonny: No, I just don't think... [Sighs] Okay, look, everyone's under a lot of pressure. Maybe I'm overreacting. And I'm sorry. If Chad wants you to write the article, then... write it. I know you'll make it great.
Will: Thank you. Speaking of which, I have to get going, but I'll be back in time for Ari so that you can get to work.
Sonny: Will... I'm sorry. I wanted to meet up with you so we could have some one-on-one time and talk. I really didn't want to fight.
Will: I know. It's okay. Everything will be fine.
Abigail: Hey. Ari just went down for a nap. Are you okay? I know that that was probably awkward with Chad, and just--
Ben: No, no, no, no. Everything is great...
Abigail: Oh, good.
Ben: Especially now that I'm here with you.
Bruce: Mrs. Samantha Brady DiMera?
Theresa: Kristen DiMera was here?
Eve: Yes, she was hurling around all sorts of accusations against you, seeing what would stick, Theresa.
Theresa: Like what?
Eve: You enabled Brady's addiction. You tricked him into eloping with you, which caused a big fight between you and his father, and...
Eve: [Sighs] You better face it, little sister. She is onto you.
Theresa: Oh, my God. Eve, do you think that she really knows?
Kristen: Come on, just say it, would you? Just say it.
[Knock at door]
Kristen: Come in. Just put the, uh, tray right over there. Thanks.
