Episode #12414 ~ Marlena's request horrifies Eric; Kristen & Theresa butt heads; Sami accuses EJ of working with Stefano.
Provided By Suzanne
Sami: [Sighs] [Exhales] No, no, no. It can't be. [Screams]
Hope: I am so sorry. I still haven't had a chance to talk to Sami about Abigail. But I promise you, I'm gonna get to it.
Jennifer: Well, that's okay.
Hope: This looks amazing.
Jennifer: I think Abigail has that situation under control. I mean, for now.
Hope: Oh, that's great. So, don't stir the hornets' nest, right?
Jennifer: Well, let's just wait and see. But listen, you have been-- ooh, thank you--
Jennifer: So busy, I want to hear what is going on with you. Anything new?
Aiden: [Exhales] Trust me, it's...
Aiden: Been a very long time since I felt that way about... anyone. And, uh...
Aiden: I mean, who can blame me? I mean, you're--you're beautiful, you're smart, you're--
Hope: And married.
Daniel: Hey, Brady.
Brady: Hey, you busy?
Daniel: Uh, no, no, I just-- I just put Parker down.
Brady: Listen, uh, Kayla told me that my dad is not being transferred tonight. It's some--some kind of delay. But it wasn't really clear. You know anything about this?
Daniel: Uh, yeah, actually, I might. Um, why don't you come by? And we'll talk.
Theresa: Anne. You are not gonna believe what happened. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's not about Jenn-Jenn, this is about Brady. And it is so exciting.
Kristen: Oh, really? Do tell.
Theresa: Excuse me. I'm trying to have a private conversation, here.
Kristen: No problem, I'll wait.
Theresa: Anne, I'm gonna have to call you back. A crazy person just sat down at my table.
Kristen: Hi, I'm Kristen di--
Theresa: I know who you are.
Theresa: You're Brady's psycho ex-fiancée, not to mention the bitch who ruined my cousin Eric's life.
Marlena: I have to--I've got to ask you to do something, and it's just so horrible.
Eric: You know I'd do anything for you.
Eric: Just tell me what it is. What is wrong?
Marlena: Well, it--it--it isn't fair--it isn't fair that I have to ask you--I... Eric... I have to beg you... not to testify against Kristen.
EJ: Okay, I--I--look, I--I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you, Samantha.
Sami: Why did you grab me like that? Oh my God, my heart...
EJ: I didn't grab you, I just--
Sami: It's not gonna stop pounding. [Panting]
EJ: I--I apologize. I was in the garden, and--and I came back in. I saw you drop the glass, you seemed terribly upset, so I just put my hand--
Sami: Yeah, you wanna know why I'm upset?
EJ: Who put that back up there?
Sami: Oh, like you didn't put it there.
EJ: Of course I didn't put it up there.
Sami: Oh spare me, okay? I know you are working with Stefano, and that you have been from day one. Admit it.
Kristen: Well, I heard you had a mouth on you.
Theresa: You're going to prison for what you did to Eric.
Kristen: Or not.
Theresa: You know, buying a judge and getting out on bail is one thing, but having to stand trial is a whole different ballgame.
Kristen: Mm, you must know so much about the legal system. Back in L.A., Weren't you facing charges of fraud? Possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, intent to distribute, shoplifting. Have I left anything out?
Theresa: How do you know about that?
Kristen: So what happened to your marriage with Brady, anyway? Why was it so short? Did he roll over the next morning and start screaming?
Theresa: You know, for your information, Brady and I are close, and we always will be.
Kristen: Aw, that's so cute. You still have a thing for him, don't you? I'm so happy we're having this chat. I'm gonna make something really clear, okay? You stay away from Brady.
Eric: Mom, you, uh... no...you can't be serious.
Marlena: Look, if there were any other way...
Eric: Any other way for what?
Marlena: Kristen told Stefano about john's condition. And--and Stefano found some biochemist who's come up with a formula that...well, that might reverse john's coma.
Eric: Did Kristen tell you this? And you believed her? I mean, that's absurd.
Marlena: I--I--I--the thing is, that Daniel and Kayla have studied the part of the formula that we have, and they say that it might work. But in order for Stefano to give us the other part of the formula... well he won't do it, unless--
Eric: Unless I don't testify against her. Unless I allow Kristen to go scot-free.
Anne: Mr. Jennings? Hello.
Anne: Oh, ha, okay. Anne Milbauer? We meet at the hospital all the time, I'm, uh, head of hr?
Aiden: Yeah, yeah--oh, yeah, yeah, nice to see you.
Anne: Yeah, yeah.
Aiden: That's uh--
Anne: So, you mind if I join you? Just 'til my friend calls me back?
Aiden: Yeah, yeah, sure, why not, right?
Anne: Okay, excellent.
Aiden: The more the merrier.
Anne: Well you seem like, uh, well like you're feeling no pain.
Aiden: Mmm, ha.
Anne: How many of, uh, these have you had?
Aiden: Uh... like, one. I think this is my second.
Aiden: Yeah, it's just, I don't normally drink, so it seems to really be hitting me.
Anne: You know what?
Anne: That is exactly what happens to me. You know, I'll have one, or two, drinks...
Anne: And then, I don't know, I'll--I'll do just about anything, with just about anyone, if you get my drift. Well, maybe not anyone or anything, but... [Laughs] Pretty close.
Aiden: Yeah, yeah. No, you're right. I--I--I--I shouldn't be drinking, like this. Not--not alone, anyway.
Anne: "Not alone?" What--what--what am I, chopped liver? Oh.
Hope: Mmm, try it with the pretzels, it's really delicious.
Jennifer: No, put this in there.
Hope: Oh, okay.
Jennifer: Is sierra excited about starting school?
Hope: She is so excited.
Hope: Although...last night, she brought up the fact that on yet another first day of school, her father's not gonna be around. Mm.
Jennifer: I'm sorry. Thank you. How are you doing with all that?
Hope: Mm, staying focused on other things.
Jennifer: Mm. That's good, that's a good idea.
Hope: Want some chocolate sauce?
Jennifer: Ooh, the fundraiser!
Jennifer: Are you gonna do the fundraiser again, yeah?
Hope: No. Ooh, sorry, I put too much.
Hope: You distracted me.
Jennifer: Did I say something wrong?
Hope: No, you didn't say anything wrong, I just-- listen, after we, um, finish our ice creams, do you want to take a little walk with me? I have, um, I have something I really...need to talk to you about.
Brady: [Exhales] Kayla had said something about...red tape causing the delay. But she wasn't--she wasn't very clear about it.
Daniel: Right, right, right.
Brady: I mean, don't get me wrong. I don't--I don't--I don't want my dad to be moved. I want him to stay at the hospital, but... something seems off, Daniel. What's--what's happening, here?
Kristen: I don't want him to know anything about it. I want him to be kept completely in the dark, until we can find out for sure if the drug works. Because I don't want his hopes to get up for nothing.
Daniel: Uh, you know, I'd try not to read too much into that, Brady. We're just gonna double-check a few things, that's all.
Brady: All right. Sorry, it's just--it's--it's been a hell of a day, for me.
Daniel: Yeah, why? Why, what happened?
Brady: Well, I--I... I let Kristen have it... for going to my dad's hospital room. I warned her to stay the hell away.
Daniel: Uh-huh. And then w--what'd she say?
Brady: [Exhales] Doesn't matter, she lies about everything, anyway. But I was--I was rattled. I was rattled when I left there, and...then I went home and made a big mistake.
Theresa: Hey, getting in my face? It doesn't really work on me.
Kristen: I'm back, you little bitch. And I'm looking out for Brady. He's got a lot going on in his life right now, his father's in a coma. He doesn't need you sneaking around, especially when he's made it very clear he does not want you.
Theresa: [Laughs] You don't get to decide what Brady wants.
Theresa: He hates you. He can't even stand to be in the same room as you.
Kristen: Oh, I don't know. He didn't seem to mind so bad when he stopped by my hotel earlier today. In fact, you know, he seemed, I don't know...kind of excited... to see me.
Theresa: Earlier today?
Theresa: Why did this happen? Oh. Now I get it.
Kristen: Now you get what?
Marlena: Uh, look, I--I know why you're skeptical. I understand that. But--but Daniel and Kayla think this thing may work.
Eric: What, based on studying part of a formula?
Marlena: You know, Stefano has access to all kinds of research.
Eric: Yes. Kristen has given me a taste of what her father's specialists can do.
Marlena: I'm so sorry. I know this is asking a lot of you--
Eric: No, it's asking too much, mom. I'm sorry. I won't do it. (Announcer) are you dealing with hot flashes during menopause?
Sami: I'm such an idiot. I can't believe I went to lunch with you. I can't believe I thought you actually wanted to work things out. I can't believe that I was believing that you were on my side.
EJ: Samantha, I am on your side.
Sami: Oh, just keep lying. I'm not buying it anymore.
EJ: Look, first of all-- Samantha. When I went out to the garden, the picture of you and Kate was on that wall. I have no idea who switched it.
Sami: Oh, that isn't even convincing.
EJ: Secondly, I meant everything that I said at lunch.
EJ: I want to be back with you, and it's the only thing that I've ever wanted.
Sami: You are working with Stefano, obviously. You have been, from the moment that Kate and I started teaming up.
EJ: Really? If I was in league with my father, why would I do something as blatant as to hang his picture up?
Sami: I don't know. But that's not the point. The point is that Stefano has to stay out of town! I mean, my God, if he makes a deal to get out of the tax evasion charges... and let's just say that Kate and I were really counting on never having to see his sorry ass again. So now I have to come home, I see his portrait on the wall. What was I supposed to think? I mean, who--who else would do something like that?
EJ: I know exactly who put that there.
Hope: Look at that gorgeous lake, huh?
Jennifer: Wow, yeah, it's pretty today, huh?
Jennifer: And those are the first words you have spoken since we left the house. What's bothering you?
Hope: I was just, uh, wondering...have you heard anything from Daniel, lately?
Jennifer: Yeah, he--he came by to see how Abigail was doing. But other than that, I--I'm pretty sure things are over between us, and... I just have to accept it, you know?
Hope: I'm sorry, cous. You know, just a thought. I was just thinking--it's very silly--but I was just thinking, you know, maybe you should give Aiden another shot.
Kristen: So what is it that you "get," Theresa?
Theresa: I get why everyone in this town freaking hates your guts. You know, you are one nasty piece of work... just like the rest of your family.
Kristen: Ooh, I'm so happy you know my last name. Then you must also know that the DiMeras always get what they want. And what this DiMera wants, is for you to stay away from Brady.
Theresa: [Gasps] Oh my God, I'm being threatened by a big, bad DiMera. I am so scared.
Kristen: You will be.
Theresa: [Scoffs] Okay.
Brady: But then before I knew it...I was in bed with Theresa.
Daniel: Oh, come on. Just promise me you're not getting back together, please? Just--
Brady: I'm--I'm--I'm not-- I'm not. It was a--it was a one-time thing. And she understood.
Daniel: Sure it wasn't an act?
Brady: [Exhales] No, I don't think so. She actually couldn't have been sweeter about the whole thing. Loo--hey, listen, this is between you and me, okay?
Daniel: Yeah--no, no.
Daniel: For sure, man, for sure.
Brady: I gotta get going. Thank you for listening.
Daniel: Oh, you bet. Yeah, talking always helps. [Exhales]
Brady: And, thank you for-- for clearing that up about my dad. I think for a long time I was hoping that there would be... some kind of miracle that would come along, you know? But...it's time to let that go. See ya.
Daniel: [Sighs] She must have talked to Eric by now.
Eric: Mom, you know I would do anything for you. And I realize that you love john, and you would do anything for him, and so would I...
Eric: But not this.
Marlena: Yeah. Eric, I understand the part where you don't want to give Kristen a free pass, and I agree with you on that. A--a--a--and I--I knew... that asking you this would be so painful, so would-- maybe would you just consider?
Eric: Mom, you don't even know if that drug is gonna work.
Marlena: No, I don't, I don't. And if it doesn't work, then you are--then you're off the hook, and--and you can testify against her.
Eric: Mom, I don't even want to think about that woman going free. It goes a lot deeper than that woman just raping me and drugging me. I lost my purpose. I lost my vocation, my connection to God.
Marlena: I know that, I know that, I know that!
Eric: And the last thing-- and the only thing that I hold on to is sending that woman to jail. And I'm gonna make sure that happens.
EJ: Now, would you like to tell me why that is hanging there?
Harold: I received a call from Mr. DiMera, and he said we should prepare for his arrival tomorrow. I'm very sorry if I did anything wrong, sir.
Sami: No, it's okay, Harold.
EJ: No, it is not okay, Samantha. This house is controlled exclusively by Mrs. DiMera and ms. Roberts. You take orders from nobody else except them, including myself. Now, run along and get that painting you took down, and put it back up where it belongs.
Harold: Yes, sir. I mean, if that's all right with you, Mrs. DiMera.
Sami: Yes, Harold. That is what I would like. And, Harold, there is some glass that needs to be cleaned up.
Harold: Yes, ma'am.
Sami: [Exhales] EJ, he thinks he has that deal. He's coming back tomorrow.
Jennifer: Hope, that--that sorta date that I had planned with Aiden, it was not romantic. We're friends, really.
Hope: Yeah, but maybe you could be more.
Jennifer: Where is this coming from?
Hope: Well, I...[Stammering] Honestly, I--I've kind of, um, come to know him a little bit better, and actually, he's very nice... and considerate, and, um, a lot kinder than he gives himself credit for, sometimes. Anyway, I was just thinking, if the right woman came along--
Jennifer: Hope, stop. First of all, I am not over Daniel, not by a long shot. And second of all, Aiden--it's my friend, it's--
Jennifer: Oh, sorry, excuse me. Oh, shoot. I left something on the table at home that I have to email. Why don't you walk back with me?
Hope: Uh, I think I'll stay. The lake's too perfect. Listen, I am really sorry, I--I overstepped, and I apologize. I'm so sorry.
Jennifer: No, you didn't overstep. You're always looking out for me because you love me, and you're my cousin.
Hope: I do love you.
Jennifer: Take care.
Hope: Okay, be careful walking back. Oh, boy, hope, that went really well.
Aiden: What the hell were you thinking?
Theresa: So, obviously, you know, when Brady walked in and saw me there, he had just come from seeing Kristen.
Anne: Oh, and that's when you two bumped uglies, again?
Theresa: No, I think he was just...upset. I mean, he had to get Kristen out of his mind.
Anne: Oh, so he used you.
Theresa: No, he needed me. I comforted him.
Theresa: Look, Anne, we have a connection.
Anne: A connection? Honey, you just got your marriage annulled, and that only lasted two minutes. Wake up, this guy is a goner.
Theresa: No, no, no, no. Don't you see? Now that Kristen's in town, I'm back in the game. I mean, having her here, back in Salem, it's literally like the best thing that could have ever happened to me. [Exhales]
Daniel: Oh, hello.
Kristen: Sorry to bother you again. I accidentally left my lipstick--
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, probably wasn't an accident. Left it on purpose, so you'd have a good reason just to... come back.
Kristen: Mm, there you go again. You're getting really good at reading me. Kinda scary.
Daniel: I know it, it is. What is--come on in, go for it.
Kristen: Thank you.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah. Uh, before you ask, um...no. Your timing is off, just a little too early. I haven't heard from Marlena or Eric, but...
Daniel: Who knows? Maybe they decided not to cave in. You can keep your magic formula, and just go to jail.
Kristen: Yeah, my guess is, Marlena's taking a long time to get to the point. She could be very slow, in a lot of ways.
Daniel: Ooh, yikes. Well, guess we don't have much more to say, so you can leave.
Kristen: Well, actually... can I have a talk with you, just between you and me?
Kristen: Tell me what you know about Theresa Donovan.
Marlena: Eric, I want justice for you, too. Honey, I will not hold it against you if you don't do this, I just had to ask. You know, for john.
Eric: I realize that this is selfish. And I know that I should be thinking about john... and you, and all the people who love him, like Brady...belle. But I can't. All I can hold on to is how she ruined my life. How my life was ruined by that bitch! And now, you want me to let her walk? I'm sorry, but I can't do that.
Hope: How long have you been here?
Aiden: [Exhales] Long enough to hear you trying to set me up with Jennifer. What is that all about? Are you trying to pawn me off on your cousin?
Hope: I wasn't trying-- I wasn't trying to do that.
Aiden: Well you could have fooled me, 'cause look--I--I get it, all right? I understand, I made you feel uncomfortable, okay? When I was talking about my feelings, and telling you how beautiful you are, but I get it, hope. I get it. You're a married woman. [Laughs] I'm not looking to--to date anyone, anyway, so--y--I got, here. Stay out of my love life, okay?
Hope: Have you been drinking?
Aiden: What? N--no, I--oh, I mean, a little bit, but it was just, um...
Hope: Mm-hmm. You said you didn't approve of drinking.
Aiden: Oh my goodness, hope, I had one drink. One drink, okay?
Hope: One drink?
Aiden: Yes, one drink, okay? W--what does that make me, does it make me a hypocrite? Go on, you could say it--you could say it. I know--I know it--you--you-- you're just ready--you're ready, because you really get off when you can act all superior. Don't you?
Eric: I just can't. After everything Kristen did to me.
Brady: Eric? Is everything all right?
Anne: I don't know, sweet pea. If that woman threatened you, told you to stay away from Brady, maybe you should listen to her.
Theresa: [Scoffs] Come on, that bitch doesn't scare me. Of course, Brady doesn't have to know that.
Anne: O--okay. You lost me, I--
Theresa: No--yeah, yeah. I should call him--I should call him right now, and tell him that Kristen said all these awful things, and--and I'm just so scared.
Anne: Oh, so like, typical man, all protective?
Theresa: [Laughs] Yeah. He could be my--by my side in two seconds flat, with his big...arm around me. Yeah, no I'm gonna call him, and, uh... oh, wait. No, I have something much better.
Daniel: Hey, you asked me about Theresa a couple days ago. Do you remember what, um, I said to you?
Kristen: Mm-hmm, nothing.
Daniel: Oh, well, there you go.
Kristen: Still got a thing for her? Ooh. You hate her.
Eric: Did my mom send you here?
Eric: Why are you here?
Brady: I was lighting a candle for my father. Why--why would you think Marlena sent me?
Eric: I'm sorry, I just... how's john doing?
Brady: He's not good. He was supposed to be moved to a long-term care facility, but for some reason they put it off.
Eric: It must be hard to see him in that condition.
Brady: Yeah, especially since I'm the reason. There's so m--there's so much that I wish I could take back, Eric. You know?
Brady: My dad's gonna die... never knowing how much I loved him.
EJ: You know, I have to say, I'm, um, a little surprised, and--and quite disappointed, that you think that I would put my father's picture back up.
Sami: EJ, I've done every single thing I can think of, to get back at you, for what happened. Are you really gonna sit there and say you can trust me?
EJ: So this is where we find ourselves? In some sort of a perpetual, bloody stalemate.
Sami: I don't know how to make it different.
EJ: Well let's just deal with the matter at hand, shall we? The important thing here... is my father.
Sami: Wait, I--I'll do it. I mean, I'll--I'll handle him.
EJ: We will handle him, Samantha. We.
EJ: Excuse me. Mr. Shin. [Clears throat] Mr. Shin, lovely to hear from you. Really? And when did my father do that?
Theresa: I'm not gonna play my Kristen card just yet.
Anne: Why not?
Theresa: Because, look, right now, Brady's just focused on his dad. Once that old man gets shipped off to the vegetable farm, that's when I'll come crying for help.
Anne: Mm-hmm, okay. Sounds good. [Laughs]
Theresa: Yeah. You know, if I play this right...
Theresa: Brady's gonna want me to come home, and stay home. [Sighs]
Brady: It's weird, it's weird, you know, how some things just become clear. What happened with my father, and the bitterness and the hatred that I was holding on to...
Eric: Sometimes, hatred is all we have.
Brady: Well it--it's no good wallowing in that, I'll tell you. It's just--just brings you nightmares. It's a total waste. There's something I gotta say out loud, Eric, um...
Eric: Brady, it's not nece--
Brady: I--no, no, no, listen--listen. I'm--I'm so sorry for the way I treated you. I really--I know that what happened with Kristen was not your fault. All those phony accusations... I knew the truth, I knew it. You were a victim. I was just hurting...you know?
Eric: Of course.
Brady: It was easier for me to blame you than deal with what I was feeling. But you have been a good brother to me. I know we're not blood, but... it doesn't matter to me. You--you have been there, you've been supportive. I've missed you.
Eric: I missed you, too.
Brady: And I'm s--and I'm sorry. All I--all I can ask is that you forgive me.
Eric: Of course I do.
Brady: Thanks, brother. Thank you.
Daniel: Okay, okay, here's the--here's the thing. I am not Theresa's biggest fan. Frankly, I couldn't think of anyone worse for Brady. Oh--I'm sorry--except for you.
Kristen: You know what?
Kristen: If you don't like her, that means she's even more of a nightmare than I even thought. Hey! Maybe the two of us should team up, and try to keep her in a cage. What do you think?
Daniel: Ooh, ooh, y--you know what I think?
Daniel: I think it'd be really great, if you and Theresa destroy each other.
Daniel: What do you think? That'd be perfect, don't you think? That's what I'm thinkin'. Actually, you know what? I'm busy, Kristen, so, I gotta go--no, you have to go, because I--I got socks to match--you know, housework.
Kristen: You know what, Daniel? In spite of that good-guy exterior...you're really very cold.
Daniel: You know what? You don't know anything about me.
Kristen: Well, I know that you won't forgive Jennifer for whatever it is she did. And she has the sweetest heart in the whole wide world. So that means that you're not just cold, but you're super stupid.
Hope: Uh, no, e--excuse me. No, you're the one who loves acting superior, Mr. Jennings.
Hope: You're forever judging everyone.
Aiden: I'm the one who's judging everyone?
Hope: Yes, you are.
Hope: And in case you're too drunk to have realized it... the reason I was trying to set you up with Jennifer was... [Sighs] [Stammering] Because I thought you were lonely. I was trying to help you out.
Aiden: What if I like being lonely?
Hope: Nobody likes being... lonely.
Aiden: Well you don't know me...do you? And obviously you don't know what I like, or what I want.
Hope: You're right. Fine. Be lonely to your heart's content, Mr. Jennings.
Aiden: That's not what I want.
EJ: Father has called board members and informed them there may be an emergency meeting, in Salem.
Sami: Okay, right. I mean, that's step one in Stefano's revenge. He's gonna get Kate and me fired. I'm surprised he didn't try it sooner.
EJ: He couldn't. No, it's in the corporate bylaws. You can't execute a change in leadership unless it's signed here, in Salem.
Sami: I'm just glad the kids are away at camp, so they won't see the bloodshed. There's gonna be a war.
EJ: Samantha, I will not let anything happen to you, or the children. You have my word.
Sami: Talk is cheap.
EJ: You won't win this one, old man.
Jennifer: Oh. Hello.
Daniel: Hey--hey, is this a-- is this a bad time?
Jennifer: Uh, no. No, not at all. Um, it's--it's great, actually. What's up?
Daniel: Well, I--I--I know we've both got pretty--pretty busy schedules, and I was just wondering if, at--at some point, you know, maybe tomorrow, the weekend--you know, whatever, um...we--we could grab some coffee.
Jennifer: Yeah, I think that would be really nice, sure.
Daniel: Great, um... okay, well I'll, uh, I'll be in touch.
Jennifer: Yeah, you bet.
Anne: Word of advice, my friend?
Anne: Don't overestimate how much Brady cares, and don't underestimate how dangerous anyone named DiMera can be.
Theresa: La, la, la, la, la, I don't want to hear it.
Anne: Oh, of course not. Why should you listen to anything reasona--
Theresa: 'Cause, you know what? I'm not you, Anne. I know how this is gonna end. To Kristen DiMera. Welcome home, sweet cheeks. Fine, I'll do it myself. [Laughs]
Brady: This means a lot, man.
Eric: For me, too.
Brady: Family's the most important thing, right? From now on, I gotta--I gotta just keep my mind on what's right. No more revenge fantasies...
Eric: Right, right.
Brady: And I want you to know, I'm gonna be there for you during the trial. I know it's not gonna be fun, man, dredging up all that stuff that happened with Kristen. But, I've got your back, all right?
Eric: Thank you. You're right, your family matters. But having your support...means more than you know.
Marlena: I know what you'd say to me. You'd say, "see ya, doc. I'll catch you on the other side. Let Eric have his justice. Let him have peace." Maybe I shouldn't have asked him... but I love you. I love you so much. I can't bear the thought of living without you.
Kristen: Are you kidding me? Hello!
Eric: You and I need to talk.
