Episode #12407 ~ Kristen comes up with a plan to make things right; Will figures out Sonny's secret; Abigail hits Sami; Lucas lets EJ have it.

Provided By Suzanne

Sami: Did you hear what I said? You have to help me.

EJ: I heard you.

Sami: Then you have to call the board. The scandal, I-- the company is a wreck. I mean, it's--it's gonna implode.

EJ: I couldn't agree more.

Sami: You have to do something, EJ. You have to do it now.

Lucas: Look, I need anything you can get me on this truvista magazine editor A.S.A.P., All right? Yeah, thanks. Why, Sonny, you're here.

Sonny: Why shouldn't I be? It's my club.

Lucas: You are will's husband. With all hell breaking loose, I thought--I don't know--maybe you should be at home with him.

Will: I wasn't sure you'd come.

Abigail: Neither was I.

Will: Please. Thank you for coming. We really need to talk.

Abigail: I think that we needed to "talk" before you published that article about me.

Will: I was gonna tell you before.

Abigail: Will, this is really nicely written, by the way. Yeah, it was great--had a nice punch to it.

Will: I didn't get a chance to tell--you got that other call, and...

Abigail: Right--oh, right, my mistake. Yeah, yeah, if I would've known beforehand that you were going to write, in print, how I slept with your mother's husband, then it would've been all fine, right? Yeah, no worries. Is that what you think? Answer me, damn it! Is that what you think?

[Monitor beeping]

Nicole: Sorry. I didn't know you were here.

Eric: No?

Nicole: Every time I've come to visit john, they've been doing tests or taking care of him. So I thought I would just take a chance. No, it's not what you're thinking. I didn't follow you, okay? It's a coincidence. What, you don't believe in coincidence?

Eric: When it comes to you, Nicole, no, I don't.

Nicole: [Sighs]

Roman: Okay, talk to you later. Hey, glad you came down. I wanted to tell you this in person.

Marlena: Is it about Sami?

Roman: No, it's about Kristen. She's been released.

Marlena: That can't be true.

Roman: I know. I know, and I'm as sorry about this as you are.

Marlena: If she's been released, then where the hell is she?

Brady: [Breathing heavily]

Kristen: I'm so happy to see you. It's been so long. It doesn't even matter how long it's been. I... I'm so happy. Here we are, together again, right? At last.

Sami: What? EJ, just... say something!

EJ: Well, I agree with you. The situation's very dire.

Sami: Yes, it is. So--so you're going to have to do something. What are you...?

EJ: You know, there is one thing that I learned from my father. He's a very passionate man. He's very emotional at times, but, uh, he never let his personal feelings interfere with his business decisions.

Sami: Okay, you know what? I don't have time for a lecture from you, EJ. We have calls to make.

EJ: This is rather a textbook illustration of my point, Samantha. The article that your son wrote would have been a lot less damaging if the other woman hadn't been named.

Will: I totally get why you're angry.

Abigail: Oh, aren't you perceptive.

Will: And I am so sorry.

Abigail: Like I said, will, I had my reservations about coming here today. You know, I wasn't even sure I wanted to have this conversation with you, but you know what? I decided that it's really, really important for me to tell you so that you get exactly how I feel about you.

Sonny: I just talked to will on the phone. He doesn't seem like he needs me to stand by him.

Lucas: What is that--what is that supposed to mean?

Sonny: He didn't sound like all hell was breaking loose. He was talking about TV interviews, the next article he's doing.

Lucas: Really?

Sonny: Really. I don't want to stir things up, but you come in here and tell me I need to be with him, and you haven't even talked to him?

Lucas: Well, look, okay, I'm sorry. I'm just worried about him. I do plan on talking to him. There's just a few things I want to figure out before I do.

Sonny: What things?

Lucas: Well, doesn't it bother you that an unknown short-story writer has all of a sudden become a feature writer for a major magazine?

Sonny: He has access to the people in the story.

Lucas: Yeah, people that he loves. Doesn't it seem wildly out of character for him to go after his mother like that and print those things about her... and Abigail?

Eric: I have to go.

Nicole: Oh, come on, Eric. Eric... come on... we are bound to run into each other. It's inevitable.

Eric: Inevitable or not, I can still leave.

Nicole: Hey, all right, look, I want you to know something. You know this whole huge story about EJ and Sami and Abigail? Well, my boss wants me all over it. It kind of defines "sensational." However... I'm not going to touch it. And I think you know why.

Eric: I do.

Nicole: I don't want to hurt you any more than I already have.

Marlena: Well, what happened? Did Kristen see the judge and tell him she'd be good and he let her go? No, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Stefano gave the judge a villa, what, in Italy somewhere? What?

Roman: Good chance of that. Now, the judge did order her to wear a monitoring device.

Marlena: That won't do any good. Look, she went after--she went after Daniel to try to find bra-- wait a minute. Does Brady know she's been released?

Roman: He wasn't in the courtroom.

Marlena: Well, then we've got to find him and tell him. Oh, come on, Brady, come on.

Kristen: You look stunned, Brady. I mean, you knew I was back, right?

Brady: What are you doing here? Why--why--why aren't you at the police station?

Kristen: Don't call the cops. They know I-I was released. [Laughs] See, they know where I am. I'm being very carefully monitored, even though I'm out on bail.

Brady: They let you go?

Kristen: Yeah, they let me go.

Brady: [Exhales deeply] So what are you doing here?

Kristen: You don't know? Welcome to pull-ups pre-kid academy.

Sami: You know what? You are truly unbelievably. Your family company is in shambles, and all you care about is protecting your little whore.

EJ: This is not about Abigail, Samantha. This is about you. You're the person who gave her name to the publisher.

Sami: Yeah, and you know why? Because I didn't think it was fair for her to get a free pass after what she did to me.

EJ: This is about what I did to her.

Sami: You're damn right it is. I still can't believe her holier-than-thou press release, though she did make it clear how she feels about you.

EJ: You know, when my father wanted to have Rafe neutered... he didn't do it himself. He thought about it. Did you think about how outing Abigail would affect the company? No, you did not. She hurt you, and you wanted to hit back at her, hard. And in doing so, you've given the board plenty to dig into and no real deniability for us. What the hell did you think you were doing?

Sami: I didn't think she deserved to get off scot-free.

EJ: I see. So the private humiliation you gave her wasn't enough? But by going after her publicly, you could very well have destroyed the entire company, all because you wanted to be malicious against a girl who I have had nothing to do with for months.

Sami: Yeah. Yeah, you know what? When I found out all those filthy things were going to be published about me, I wanted people to know who she was.

EJ: Congratulations. You got what you wanted. I have to tell you--I've been waiting for this day for quite some time... the day when you finally come to me and beg for my help. And I've been looking forward to telling you to go to hell.

Abigail: Before we get to talking about how I feel about you, I just have a few quick questions for you. Are you doing some kind of follow-up article? Is that why you keep leaving me these messages, why you wanted to see me today?

Will: I wanted to talk to you about what happened.

Abigail: Funny. Funny that you didn't feel the need to talk to me before you wrote the article branding me a whore.

Will: No, I didn't--

Abigail: But now that it's out there, I guess it's news. I'm good copy, right? How does the whore feel about being called a whore? That's a good one, will.

Will: I-I wouldn't--I would never, ever do that.

Abigail: No, you wouldn't. You would never do that to someone! You wouldn't. You know why? Because it is too disgusting, too vile a thing to do to somebody who cares about you, somebody who stood up at your wedding, somebody who is your own family! You would never do that! I have one small thing to tell you. I am not a whore. I didn't take money for what I did.

Will: I didn't say--

Abigail: But you-- hmm. Now, how much did they pay you for your services rendered?

Sonny: You know, I'm kind of uncomfortable talking to you about this. I don't like explaining will to you.

Lucas: Yeah, yeah. No, I-I get that. That's fine. You don't seem too happy about this either, Sonny.

Sonny: [Sighs] I think I should trust will to handle this on his own. I will say the magazine put an enormous amount of pressure on him. And... [Sighs]

Lucas: And what? It's my experience that when someone stops mid-sentence and shrugs like that, they're usually talking about Sami.

Sonny: The things she did... no, you know what? I'm going back to where I started. I think you should talk to will about this, not me.

Lucas: All right. Fair enough. Will is very lucky to have you. [Raps fingers]

Sonny: We'll see about that.

Brady: You followed me or had me followed.

Kristen: I didn't want you to hear it from anybody else. It was so important to me that I saw you because I have so much to explain to you.

Brady: There's nothing to explain.

Kristen: I do. I have so--

Brady: No, Kristen, let me be plain here. I hate you. Why don't you get out of here? Go. I know you had Daniel kidnapped. Is that what you had in mind for me, hmm? Where are your goons? Are they here? 'Cause I'm ready for 'em. I'm ready for them, and I'm ready for you.

Eric: You do what you want. You write what you want. You go where you want. I don't care anymore. I can't bear to even look at you anymore.

Nicole: Well, which is it, hmm? You just don't care, or you're so desperate not to care, so desperate not to even think about me anymore, you hate me so much, you can't help it. So, duke, what do you think of our new bush's baked beans video game?

[Cell phone ringing]

Eric: Hello?

Marlena: Hi, honey. Where are you?

Eric: I'm at the hospital. I was about to leave, but I ran into Nicole, but I'm gonna leave now.

Marlena: Would you mind meeting me at the pub? And you know what? Bring her too.

Eric: Bring Nicole? Mom, is this about will's story?

Marlena: No, it's about Kristen.

Will: Abigail, please listen to me.

Abigail: No, will, you listen to me! You know what? Since I was one of the main characters in your sick little saga, I think that I deserve to know. How much did you get paid for this? Did they pay you word by word? Is that why you just kept going on and on and on about the details of my relationship with EJ. Is that why? Because my mom loved reading that. That was really fun for her.

Will: Abigail, please.

Abigail: How much?

Will: $3,000.

Abigail: Well... hmm, you know, with inflation, that's almost 30 pieces of silver, Judas. No, I want to know here. Did you get a good deal, though? Did you get the rights to any follow-up stories, like, movies or TV shows? I know the business with eve and my mom about my dad's book-- how important and how ugly that can be.

Will: Yes, I-I-I would get a percentage.

Abigail: Huh. Well, good for you.

Will: Abigail, I've--I've listened to you. C-can I please talk now?

Abigail: Why? Honestly, what's the point? What's there to say? You obviously took copious notes about everything, from EJ and your mom and me and-- you know what, will? God, I never thought I would say this to you. You're exactly like your mother.

Will: Abigail...

Abigail: $3,000, huh? Well... I really hope it was worth it.

Sami: Well, you'll be happy to know I am already in hell. But I know that you don't want that for DiMera enterprises. You care about this company, and you don't want to see it crash and burn.

EJ: It's you and Kate who are going to crash and burn. Personally, I don't give a damn.

Eric: What is this about Kristen?

Marlena: Well, first, I'd like to hear about the grand jury. How did your testimony go?

Eric: Let's just say I got through it.

Marlena: Good. Nicole... did you tell the grand jury that you destroyed the evidence that would clear Eric's name? Did you tell them what a hateful, vindictive woman Kristen is?

Nicole: Of course I did. I think Kristen DiMera is the one thing that you and I and Eric and roman and Brady and Daniel and the whole darn town agree on. She's a lunatic who belongs behind bars forever.

Marlena: Well... not everybody feels that way. The judge has let her go.

Nicole: What?

Marlena: She's free.

Kristen: You know, what happened with Daniel... well, it was really complicated, but it comes down to just being a really stupid, terrible misunderstanding.

Brady: You thought he wanted to be beaten up? Did you use the same guys that you used on me?

Kristen: Brady,

Brady: Hmm?

Kristen: My intentions were good.

Brady: Were you well intended when you set out to destroy Eric's life to get back at his mother? Last time I saw your lying face, you told me that he had seduced you and that you were the victim. You looked me right in the eye, and you lied to me. Not that I was surprised. I mean, lying, to you, is like the way people breathe. It's just natural. You could tell me the sky was blue, Kristen, and I wouldn't believe you, because I'm done with it--you, your lies, all of it.

Kristen: What I have to say to you is not a lie. I swear.

Kristen: Brady, I understand that you're hurt and you're angry, but I bet you've tried to wipe out every thought and every memory of me from your mind from the day I left.

Brady: Yeah, you got that right.

Kristen: But that's not how it's been for me, Brady. You're all I've thought about. You're the first thing I think of when I wake up, and you're the last thing I think of when I go to sleep... if I can sleep. And if I can, I dream of you.

Brady: Why would I give a-- why would I give a damn, hmm? Why would I care?

Kristen: I understand. I do. You're gonna be skeptical, and you're gonna roll your eyes. And go ahead, but what I'm saying is the truth. [Crying] Ever since that horrible day that we were supposed to be married, I know you've been going through a horrible time. I have too, Brady, in my own way. I've had so much to reflect on and to consider, and I know I have a lot to account for. I have so much to account for--

Brady: I'm not listening to this!

Kristen: Listen, you have to!

Brady: Hey! Hey!

Kristen: Do you think I would've come here like this, alone, knowing how upset and angry you'd be with me unless I knew that the Brady I know, the Brady that knows me better than anybody's ever known me would listen to me?

Brady: What? This crap? You expect me to listen to this?

Kristen: The reason I'm here, Brady... I am finally gonna make things right.

Roman: Okay, I'll be right there. All right, I got to go. I will keep you posted on Kristen's whereabouts.

Marlena: Thank you. All right, buddy. Hang in there, okay?

Eric: Will do.

Nicole: So the DiMeras bought off another judge, huh? Great.

Eric: I keep texting Brady, and he's not answering.

Marlena: I know. He doesn't answer me either. You know, it's not just Brady that I'm worried about. Eric, this is just so wrong... that--that Kristen goes free... when you've been through so much... too much.

Abigail: [Exhales deeply] [Breathes deeply] Is that something that you've written, something new?

Will: Um... yeah.

Abigail: Oh, cool. Can I take a peek?

Will: [Chuckles nervously] Well, I really shouldn't let you take a look at this until I, um... [Clears throat] Pump out another draft.

Abigail: Oh. Oh, yeah, I totally understand. I'm like that, too, about my writing, even if it was just, you know, P.R. stuff at the hospital.

[Cell phone ringing]

Abigail: I'm not speaking to reporters, so you're wasting your time. I don't understand. I have nothing to say at this time.

Lucas: So what you're saying is the editor basically answers to the owner of magazine. Tha--that's Victor Kiriakis? No, no, no, no, that's fine. No, no, thank you.

Will: [Sighs] If you're here to tell me off, take a number.

Lucas: No, no, no, wait a second. I'm not here to tell you off. I'm just here to try to understand exactly what's going on. And I think I got a pretty good idea.

Abigail: So how long did you know about the article? Did you know when I brought Ari home?

Sonny: Yes, but--

Abigail: No, you know what? I don't even want to hear the "but." Honestly, I'm so sick and tired of hearing excuses from people who knew, people who supposedly cared about me. But they didn't have the decency to tell me what was coming. I could've at least warned my mother, Sonny.

Sonny: Abigail, I am so sorry.

Abigail: Yeah.

Sonny: I am, okay? This whole thing is my fault.

Abigail: How is what will wrote your fault?

Sonny: Because I got him the job.

Sami: Who's letting their personal feelings affect business now?

[Liquid pouring]

EJ: Well, it's not my business, is it? You took it away from me.

Sami: Okay, look... yes, EJ, we... have had our little differences.

EJ: [Laughs] Little differences, indeed. You tricked me into marrying you. You had me arrested. You had me sent to jail. You stole my company out from under me. You're still doing your level best to get me sent to prison. In fact, you seem to have devoted your entire life to destroying me. I'm sorry, buttercup. I didn't realize those were just little differences.

Sami: Fine. I've been bad, but I think we should focus on the future, not the past. I mean, this is our children we're talking about, right? Their legacy.

EJ: Oh, the children's legacy, huh? That's nice.

Sami: EJ, seriously, come on. This is our kids we're talking about. You have to help me... and the company.

EJ: So, um, Samantha... what exactly are you willing to do for this help?

Eric: You don't need to worry about me, mom. From what Daniel said, the only thing that Kristen is interested in is Brady. We need to find him.

Nicole: So what should we do now?

Eric: I think we should split up. Mom, why don't you go to his office? And I'll go to his house.

Marlena: Sounds good.

Nicole: [Scoffs]

Marlena: Let's meet back here.

Brady: You drugged my brother, a priest... and then had sex with him and lied about it and destroyed my whole family. Kristen, you can't make that right. There are some things in this world that you can't make right, some things you can't pay for, some crime and mistakes--you just can't. I've learned that lesson in spades.

Kristen: You're talking about your dad.

Brady: You're damn right I'm talking about my dad. And I'm talking about me and you, and that's the crux of this whole thing, Kristen. Everything that has gone wrong in our lives goes right back... to the three of us.

Sonny: So I got my uncle Victor to get will a job at truvista. He owns it. Please, you cannot tell anyone.

Abigail: Really, Sonny? Everyone in the world can know that I slept with EJ DiMera, but no one can know that you got your husband a job?

Sonny: It would kill him. He hates feeling dependent.

Abigail: Yeah, you know what? I don't really feel like being sensitive to will's feelings right now. Sonny... you knew that he was writing this, and you thought it was okay.

Sonny: He was just trying to make a point to his mom.

Abigail: And I was what, collateral damage? I mean, tell me, tell me. What the hell did you think when you read it, huh?

Sonny: He didn't write your name.

Abigail: I saw it in black and white.

Sonny: It wasn't him. Maybe he was naive, but he really thought the article, that the magazine-- Abigail, that the magazine would keep your name out of it. They would honor the way that he wrote it and not put your name in it. He hates what his mom is doing to you.

Abigail: Okay, wait. Stop. What do you mean it wasn't him? I just saw will, and he didn't say anything like that.

Sonny: He didn't tell you?

Will: Well, if you understand, you're the only one who does.

Lucas: Look, I just wish you would've come to me first, okay? I know I've been out of town a lot lately, but I could've helped you out.

Will: Dad, this has nothing to do with you. You need to accept that I make my own decisions.

Lucas: That's just what a man like Victor makes you think.

Will: What in God's name does Victor have to do with this?

Lucas: Look, will, if you're covering for Sonny right now--

Will: Covering for Sonny?

Lucas: I just found out that Victor owns truvista magazine. So, if that's how you got your job, just tell me.

Will: Wait. Victor Kiriakis owns truvista?

Lucas: Yeah, what, are you telling me you didn't know that?

Sami: You bastard. So that's it--you're gonna blackmail me back into bed, after everything that you have done to me?

EJ: Wrong answer.

Sami: EJ? My budget and I are good. But it wasn't always that way.

Sami: Oh, EJ, just come back! We'll-- damn it!

[Cell phone rings]

Sami: Samantha DiMera. Mr. Shin, yes, no, so happy to hear from you. Oh yes, of course, no, everything's under control.

Abigail: I saw the article. I saw will's name on it. Now, if there's some other explanation, here, I really think you owe it to me to tell me what it is, Sonny. I mean, how could this editor possibly find out it was me, if not from will.

Sonny: Someone else told the editor-- no, no, that's not possible because no one else-- Sami. Oh my God!

Sonny: Abby, don't, wait!

Will: Dad, I um-- I need you to go.

Lucas: Look, man, I think we should talk about this, okay?

Will: I'm talked out, I don't have anything left to say.

Lucas: Just let me help you. We'll get through this together, I can help you with that.

Will: I wish you could. But this is something that I have to do on my own and I'm sick of people thinking that I need their help. Thank you for coming.

Lucas: All right, fine, you call, all right, you call me if you need anything. Promise me.

Will: Damn it, Sonny.

Brady: Since you left, I've been telling everybody that I'm fine. But I went back to the booze, and the coke, and, uh, established some not so healthy relationships in my life. I pretty much pushed everyone out of my life that cared about me and brought in everyone that was bad for me. And I got into something, Kristen. I got into hate. Hatred of you, of course, but...hatred of someone else that-- came as a surprise to me. I began to hate my father.

Kristen: Why your father?

Brady: For constantly reminding me of you with his presence. For being right about you, but most of all, for bringing you into my life. So I began to blame everything on him. Every time I drank, every time I snorted a line of coke, every time I had sex, every time I tried to rip myself apart, I...I blamed him. But I got really good at hating. But I realized that, even more so than my father, the one guy I really hated the most, was me. Myself. And the irony is, I'm good. I'm fine, I'm just rolling along with my useless, stupid life and, uh, it's gonna be without my dad. 'Cause I killed him.

Kristen: No you didn't. I killed him, Kristen, he's in a coma, he's not waking up. He's as dead as a person can be. He's gone. And I tried to do what people like you and I do. I threw money at the situation. I thought I could bully some doctors into coming, examining him and bringing him back--some kind of miracle. It's not gonna happen. He's gone. So I have come to the realization that I'm the one who killed my father.

Kristen: Oh, Brady...

Brady: I'm the one that did it.

Kristen: No, you didn't.

Brady: But here's the problem, Kristen, that you're not seeing. I have to live with it. I have to live with it for the rest of my life, just like you have to live with the fact that you created this hell. There is no salvation for you here. You are as dead to me as my father.

Henderson: I'm sorry, father--sir, there's no one home.

Eric: I'll just leave a note for him, okay?

[Door opens]

Eric: Hey. What are you doing here?

Nicole: Well, Brady's my friend too.

Eric: Go look for him somewhere else. This is a logical place to look.

Eric: Don't you get it? I want you gone, I don't want you near me.

Nicole: You don't know what the hell you want.

Eric: Get out, I said!

Nicole: I don't--

Lucas: Well, if it isn't Salem's very own don Juan.

EJ: Go to hell, Lucas.

Lucas: No, really, really, surely you have a second to shoot the breeze with me--come on. Come on.

EJ: You want to shoot the breeze, let's shoot the breeze with your son. Maybe it's not too late to give him a sense of decency.

Lucas: Really, sense of decency> That's hilarious coming from you, it really is.

EJ: You think this is funny?

Lucas: You went--now wait a minute--you want me to talk to my son about decency, really? What are you, the victim in all this? Is that your psycho spin?

EJ: Just do me a favor and keep your voice down, w ill you?

Lucas: You slept with my niece while you were engaged to Sami. You ruined everybody's life. You humiliated everybody, but I guess it's okay, right? Because a man's got needs, doesn't he?

EJ: You want to talk about needs, how about your son's need to have his name on the front cover of a magazine? He put his needs ahead of everybody, including his mother.

Lucas: He was pushed to write that article.

EJ: Really, did somebody put a gun to his head?

Lucas: No, but if it wasn't for Victor, there would be no article.

EJ: What are you talking about, Victor, what does he have to do with this?

Lucas: Oh, this is truly amazing. Wait a second, I know something the DiMeras don't? That's a first.

EJ: I don't understand.

Lucas: Victor owns the magazine, you fool. Boy, Kiriakis nailed you this time, DiMera.

Sami: Yes, Mr. Shin, EJ will be calling you as soon as he possibly can. Okay. As soon as I can find out where the hell he went.

Abigail: I warned you, you bitch.

Sonny: Will, I have to tell you something.

Will: What you need to do is stop treating me like a child.

Brady: Marlena.

Marlena: Oh, good.

Brady: I got your text.

Marlena: Yes, look, something has happened.

Brady: I know, I know, I know, I know, I thank you for trying to warn me, but I saw her. I saw Kristen.

Marlena: Oh, dear. What happened?

Brady: I ran into her at the park and we had it out, I-- it doesn't matter--it doesn't matter, she's gone.

Marlena: Where is she?

Kristen: Hi, john. Can you hear me? Well, I guess it doesn't really matter. Life is so strange. The way I just unexpectedly ended up Salem. I had no idea what I was gonna do next. But now I think I do.
